| said: This hotel defines the word 'basic'. It is passable perhaps if you are on a 18-30 holiday and need somewhere to crash after a boozy night and you are not what could be descibed as discerning.
To say that the breakfast is spam would be doing an insult to pork-based products, it is really dreadful. The management are only interested in lining their pockets with the myriad of extras for which they royally charge, from aircon to fans and I am certain the reason the breakfast is so risible is to drive punters into the cafe at the front of the hotel where you pay average prices for a below average full english, served with a snarl.
Vomit in the plant pots is an all too regular feature yet the management don't seem to be unduly bothered by it and it can take days for it to be cleaned. The rooms are terrible, badly lit, poorly cleaned with moudly plaster. The rooms on the lower floor are poorly ventilated and suffer from mould and the sheets are damp. The maids must be blind if they think that what they do constitutes cleaning, which they only perform after going through your stuff and helping themselves.
This hotel really is a tip, unless you are bombed out of your brains on the 'delights' of Laganas then avoid like the plague. Do not, under any circumstances, inflict this hotel on your kids.

| said: Arrived at this hotel after 4 hour flight delay to find a room with no bed for my 10 year old son, toilet seat broken, shower head with nothing to hold it up also flooding into bedroom, airconditioning broken, pool dirty broken glass in and around the pool which my son cut his foot open on.
Needless to say we only stayed here for one night we had to pay to move.
Would never reccomend this hotel to anyone. Not for families at all.

| said: We stayed at Ikaros in May 06 were met at reception and given a room by friendly lady on reception.
The room was basic but clean and was also cleaned every day on our visit.
The pool is fantastic quite big and lots of loungers for everyone. We also frequented the bar every night and were entertained with pool and karaoke.
The food wasn`t fantastic but there were lots of restaurants on way to main strip.
A great place to stay and would recommend to any one.

| said: We stayed here in September.
The breakfast, boiled eggs, or beans on toast with a slice of cake coffee or tea if the boiler had been turned on.
The cleanliness left a lot to be desired, but our room had the aroma of my perfume all day, the cleaning staff must have liked it.
The location of the Ikaros was great near enough to everything but far enough away to get a good nights sleep.
Some of the staff were ok but others would not give you the time of day, and they was on reception.
We will not be using this hotel again.

| said: Stayed at this hotel for two weeks in September. Hotel wasnt very nice rooms were not very clean and didnt seem to get cleaned daily which they should have.
Breakfast wasnt that great, beans on toast most mornings or rubber scrambled egg. Rooms were advertised in brochure with fridge well if we had one must have been invisable when asked about fridge got told not all the rooms have a fridge in my opinion should not be advertised as having one.
Items went missing from room when stayed there other guests said the same and stuff got used eg.perfume etc when complained nothing seemed to get done basically got ignored or complaint was ignored will not stay here again.
Only nice two things about the hotel were the pool and the way out.

| said: The breakfast is ok. Some people complained but to be fair it is stated that its a continental breakfast, on Sundays we were treated to scrambled eggs and baked beans!
The room was quite small but the cleaners were very efficent. Bar food is lovely and cheap lots of veggie choices. I would come back to this hotel it was in a good location and the hotel staff are very friendly.
Our Thomas Cook Rep Helen was great and gave us lots of info about our hotel and the resort.
