Demetra was just as good as it was just over a year ago. Resort was busier this time. All 3 in our party had a great time.
Aim to go back to Demetra Sept 2006

I was very impressed with the Demetra, it's centrally located in Paphos on a side street, the noise of the street cleaning lorry around 7am may wake some people, it wasn't a problem for me. The rooms were well equipped, spacious, very clean and linen changed regularly.
Because it was early in the season, I only used the pool once but it looked fine with free sunbeds etc. There was a pool bar but that was due to re-open for the year the week after we left.
Although my accomodation was room only there is an excellent restaurant within the Demetra that served very good food ranging from lunchtime snacks to evening a la carte meals. I can thoroughly recommend the Demetra restaurant even if you're not staying as a resident. Because Paphos was empty (due to early season, apparently after Easter it all picks up the locals told us)the Demetra was obviously very quiet although on the Saturday the restaurant was packed with locals so that must confirm it's a very good restaurant.
Staff were polite and friendly. There's no entertainment at the Demetra which is good for me! I leave karaoke and Elvis impersonations to others....
I'd thoroughly recommend staying at the Demetra again, indeed I hope to book direct with them for May 2005.
