For a resort hotel this was quite something, large open spaces and very clean, with a warm welcome at the main entrance.
It was Chinese new year and they were very busy. The desk staff let the side down and could be a bit ignorant at times. Very smiley but not as sincere as some hotels in the Shangri-la group.
The bathrooms (we had 2 rooms) were a bit tierd and showing signs of wear. We had Ants in our bed and had to move rooms at midnight, the staff could not do enough for us we think that the ants may have been brought in by us after 3 days in the jungle, but who knows?
We thought that the food was expensive as across the road is a fantastic Hawker Market that will give you enough decent food (tasty, hot and generally mouth watering) for about £1.80 (for Two).
The evening entertainment was quite good they had an imported group from the Phillipines, who were great fun and good looking.
I would definately go back and take my daughter, the swimming pool and area were top notch and then there is Ciggis Bar at 5pm its happy hour and two cocktails will cost you £3.60. beat that other than all inclusive. Give this place a try its worth the 12 hour flight.

This has got to be one of the most child friendly holidays that I have been to.
Did not eat at the hotel very much as it is surrounded by great hawker stalls where you can eat genuine Malaysian food at a fraction of the price.
Although the hotel is some distance from Georgetown, there is a free shuttle bus which goes there a number of times each day. There is a great night market just outside the hotel which makes for a great base.
Hotel was clean and staff were very child friendly and we would definitely visit hotel again.

The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly but remainded unobtrusive. They love children and can't do enough for them.
I have not stayed in a cleaner hotel and that extends to its grounds and the beach. Entertainment good during the day but nothing at night but there is so much to do outside with night markets on the doorstep and Georgetowm a short drive away.
Hotel will arrange taxis etc nothing is too much trouble for them. Hotel food was good but generally walked across the road to excellent (and cheaper) restaurants and local food hall. Highly recommended
