We arrived at late afternoon, found the hotel quite busy but well managed. Checked in within 10 minutes and given clear directions to our room.

Lift to the room was small but functional and clean. Room was quite spacious and cleaned each day with fresh linen and towels. Breakfast and Evening Meals (Half Board) was excellent and the choice was vast we ate on the terrace each morning however sitting inside with Air conditioning is convenient in the evening.

Our son (aged 4) really enjoyed the childrens very large splash pool with slides and tunnels etc, play area, this is at the far end of the complex which is all enclosed and has its own bar and restaurant.

Entertainment was throughout the day with childrens club and adult activities, most of the families that where there we found were either Italian or German and talking to many have returned to the hotel year after year.

On departure from the hotel we were allowed to use a room to freshen up and get changed ready for the journey home with our baggage being looked after in a secure room with cctv for added protection.

We would highly reccommend this family orientated hotel and will be returning again in the near future.

this hotel should really be a 4 star rooms only fault was no air con but fans are available at 15 euros per week. staff friendly enough .all inc is a must as food and drinks are of a good quality.the majority of the guests are spanish or italian with about 10% brits all mixing well.we didn't have a problem getting sun beds at around 10am .the entertainment staff are excellent funny and friendly if you dont want to get involved they respect that. my 12year daughter loved the 7day holiday as we all did. we would certainly consider going back in the near future.

Just got back from The Barcelo Pueblo and my ears are still ringing from the constant noise given out by the hyper/over active "entertainment team" who would be better suited to a 18-30's Hotel than this so-called "Family" Hotel. The racket begins proper most mornings at 7.30 on the dot with the power-washing of the Pool areas- I've never come across this before.Shortly after Breakfast, providing you have secured a Sunlounger (you'll need to be up early for this)don't get too comfy because the resident DJ fires up the "music" and apart from a few breaks don't expect much let-up until 10pm when the "fun" really starts with the evening entertainment...and you'll be praying they've forked out for a pro act when you see the demented, loud, vulgar rubbish they provide...I'm not allowed to name names but one individual stands out as the loudest and most irritating- you'll see him don a drag outfit for no particular reason and simulate smutty lap-acts on any poor blokes too embarrased to throw him off. So thats the Animation Team covered- the rest of the staff ranged from rude and useless (bar staff mostly)to unhelpful and uncaring- there are obviously exceptions (the cleaning staff are cheerful) but on the whole the staff are most happy if you are Spanish or Italian OR you're willing to join in their madness. Now on to the Hotel itself- the rooms are tiny-even with a family room upgrade you'll find bigger space in a Butlins chalet- the toilets and wardrobes stink-we complained to the Management but the only reply was that it was a 3 star- ie what did we expect- and because there is no air-con you'll need to hire fans...there are no fridges or hairdryers either to ease the discomfort. The plus points of the Hotel are the following; the Food is of a decent standard although you needed to keep an eye on the undercooked chicken- baked beans are served only luke-warm too.We could see the Sea from our balcony (just!) and the location is excellent being so close to the Beach (which is lovely)and the resort which although quiet, has enough to offer if maybe only for a week.In conclusion; if you have booked this Hotel then consider changing it- if you are considering it then think carefully- Menorca is a beautiful Island which has so much to offer and it would be a shame to spoil your visit with a stay in a place like this...Happy Holiday Hunting!

Hotel was very near the beach 2 min walk but sea was very rough at times.close to airport 20 mins away but there was no airport traffic noise.

Not much going on outside of the hotel but there are a few supermarket/bars and restaurant on the beach front.

Entertainment was excellent as it provided for all ages our party's age's was from 4years to 58.

We went all inclusive and found plenty of food, drinks, ice creams was available all day and evening untill 2300pm.

Hotel entertainment staff were not chasing you to join in the games unless you wanted to, as we did and got to know all the entertainment team very well and this made our holiday.

There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you to the main town were there is a market on Tuesday/Saturday costing 1.20 euro the bus stops at the main bus depo from there you can travel around the island.

We liked this hotel and the people that we are going back in September.

We have just returned form a weeks holiday at the Barcelo Pueblo and was extremly impressed.

Myself and my husband stayed at the hotel in 2004 and decided to return with my parents and are 1yr old son.

The hotel had been updated dramatically with a fully refurbished resturant and new 'splash pool with slides' for the children.

The hotel was spotless and the facilities were fantastic - we would not heistate to recomnded this as a superb hotel which should be graded as at least a 4*

We stayed all inclusive and this was definitly worth the extra money. The only negative comment I would have would be that the highchairs did not have safety harnesses, although luckily I had taken reins which were easily adjusted to fit the high chairs!

Travelled with my family and have just returned on 28 July after a 14 night All Inclusive stay. I was a bit worried as the picture/report in the brochure did not say much and had heard it was very noisy. This hotel was excellent. The clientele were 95% Italian and the entertainment team were Italian but welcomed any nationality that cared to take part. The staff were very friendly and the family room was spacious with a glass partitioned room for mum and dad.The rooms were cleaned every day and I think the linen was cleaned almost every day. The only let down was no air con but we did hire a fan from a shop across the road, which is much cheaper than the hotel.

The food was very much European with cold meats salads and hardly a chip in sight which made a refreshing change. The snack bar was great and the cheeseburgers are fantastic.

I was very impressed with the hotel and although Punta Prima is really quiet this is a great wee hotel. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and the bus takes you to Mahon regulary where you can then travel to all other resorts from the bus station. There is a hire car shop also(same place to hire the fan).

Towards the end of the first week there was an influx in English visitors and the hotel became a bit more roudy as there is a noticeable difference in the way the Italians conduct themselves! If you can, speak Spanish to the staff, even if it is only to order your drinks as they really appreciate it and do get to know you. The mini club is like all other holiday clubs and if you have a little girl then she will love it. The teenagers activities are very good also.

I would recommend this hotel for its laid back Italian culture atmosphere and friendlieness.

We travelled as a family group with ages ranging from 75 to 4. We had a total of 5 rooms (4 twins and 1 family room). Twin rooms were relatively small but had all that you needed and were kept very clean by the maids.

Only drawback was no air-conditioning but fans can be hired. The hotel was generally kept very clean.

We went on an all inclusive basis which entitles you to free beer, local spirits, tea, coffee and ice cream from 10am to 11pm. Also there are two eating choices which are the pool snack bar serving toasties, hotdogs etc and the main buffet restaurant which serves a large selection of hot and cold food.

A good tip is the get to the restaurant early as we found that the food was not particularly hot if we ate later.
If anything lets the hotel down it is the entertainment. Daytime activities were fine with organised game sfor young children and teenagers.

However, although the entertainment team worked hard at night it was disjointed and didn't really entertain.

Visited this hotel with my husband and our two sons aged 16 and 14 also a friend of theirs 16. Very impressed with hotel i was a bit worried as it was the cheapest one in the brochure. It was our first time to Menorca and also all inclusive which was great. It meant the kids could eat and drink to their hearts content, if they missed breakfast which went on to 10.30am they could go to the snack bar at 11 for a toastie or burger. All drinks and ice creams from 10am -11pm. The activities were good football waterpolo volleyball and water aerobics were some of those on offer. beach was as quoted in brochure 5 mins from hotel, kids found some rocks to dive off of.

My only moan would be that there is nightly entertainment which for the adults did not start until 10pm so if you wanted an early night you would be a bit stuck also because the rooms are in blocks which have like a courtyard and when people were returning from a night out there was lots of noise as everywhere was tiled not carpet.
There were lots of different nationalities german spanish italian mainly with younger children but a few teenagers.food was fish rice pasta and maybe meat fruit and lots of nice cakes cooked breakfast every morning if you wanted and if you went out for the day you ask for a packed lunch to take. All in all a good holiday.

Just returned from a lovely weeks holiday at the Pueblo Menorca. The room was quite spacious with a separate twin bedroom with a sliding door to allow privacy, having our 12 year old son with us. The food whilst not fantastic was edible & varied. All the staff througout were very friendly & pleasant. My sons only complaint was that there was no activities for teenagers - but having a survey of guests activities were started the following day.

The hotel had 3 pools, crazy golf & tennins courts. One critism was that all of the pools were accessed by ladder(no use if you have mobility difficulties).

The all inclusive option was great value for money. Would definitely visit this hotel again.

The Hotel itself is very nice, room was fairly spacious for the 3 of us (1 being a 2 year old). Pools were nice, clean etc. but it was a bit too cold to go in. Play area and kids club (still running this late in the season!). Across the car park you get to the mini golf with another pool, jacuzzi and snack bar. Plenty of space around the complex. It was pretty quiet when we went as it was so close to the end of the season.

Evening entertainment was still on, including a disco for the kids and shows at about 10pm (we didn't stay up that late with a 2 year old!). There was no noise at night, which was good but if you had noisy neighbours you can hear right though the walls in the rooms.

My only problem with the hotel is the food. I wasn't expecting much as the brochure only gives the food 75% but it was a real shame. The choice was excellent, especially with the vegetable dishes, puddings pretty much the same every night. What spoilt it was that nothing was covered up so it didn't stay warm long and one night I went straight over for some fresh food just brought out and it was actully brough out from the kitchen cold. Bread stayed out from morning to night so was always stale. The soup was good though! I just don't think it was good enought to offer an all inclusive option and anyone who chose this was ripped off! I also think that as this is a family hotel, encouraging people to drink and drink with the all inclusive option is a bad idea. They certainly wouldn't be getting their money's worth on the food!

Punta prima is nice. We ate at Casa Ferma a few times(friendly and good food - try the grilled prawns). Not a lot there but kids enjoy catching fish and crabs in the rock pools and digging on the beach. The best place for young children though seemed to be Cala Galdana with very shallow water and good facilities but the transfer time is between 45mins and an hour.

I'd certainly recommend a visit to Ciutadella, a lovely old harbour with nice shops and restaurants and the views from Monte Toro are great. Mahon is more modern with clothes shops, shoe shops etc. and plently of boat trips. We also visited the Calas Coves, worth a look if you hire a car. You can actaully drive all the way down to the rocks but you won't believe it when you see the road. The caves were closed to preserve them but you can see them and climb around the rocks.

All in all, a good base for your holiday if, like us, you don't want to spend all your time in the hotel.

I would not recommend it if you have a disability as there is a hill down to the beach and access around the hotel is not great for wheelchairs.

Just hopped off the plane from this great hotel. It has everything you need for a great accomadation apart from a kettle in the rooms,so bring your own.

The hotel was spottlessly clean, towels changed daily&bed linen changed every 4 days.We stayed half board and the food was excellent,a good varied choice, even the fussiest kids would fine something.

Again well presented and always being re-filled.Everything from Fish dishes to spring rolls and stews.Great deserts from friut to fancy creme-brulee.

The hotel was a short distance from a moderate size beautiful white sandy beach& the sea was clear&blue. There was just a few shops&resturants on the sea front but the hotels has enough to keep you entertained in the evenings and has its own disco which was situated underneath so no noise.

The hotel has its own entertainment team and they were fantastic, Especially STEVE who made our holiday thanks you wre great!!Good live shows in the evenings especiaaly at the weekends. There was a selection of other nationalities at his hotel and everyone was always friendly.

Would definitely return again.

Loads of things during the day from aqua aroebics to football, archery and tennis and MORE!!!

We have just returned from our holiday and have the following comments to make:
The hotel was in a good location so if you wanted to walk to the beach it was nearby with a small assortment of restaurants and shops.

The hotel was clean and the rooms serviced daily. This was done efficiently and staff very pleasant.

The restaurant staff were a little unfriendly (some) but the service was prompt and food varied and thoroughly enjoyable. Good selection for adults and children alike.

The entertainment staff were truly amazing and kept all entertained each and every day. My son particularly enjoyed the mini club and though all of the staff were equally fantastic, Steve made the holiday even better - if possible.

All the entertainment staff worked extremely hard and ensured a good time was had by all. They really made our holiday a success and we would recommend this hotel in a second, thanks to all.

We could not fault the hotel at all as far as cleanliness was concerned.

The food was was alright but does not cater enough for the British, everything seemed to very continental(french, italian dishes espcially). The entertainmemt staff do a brilliant job the only problem is that everything is repeated in 5 different languages English, French, German, Spanish & Italian.

For the lads if you are All Inclusive then the beer is San Miguel. The reps were great with the kids. Punta Prima is a very small resort nothing much doing.

If you tavel with First Choice then the one trip that you must go on is Thursday night takeaway a brilliant night out.

Overall a good holiday I would return to Menorca but it would have to be a different resort.

We stayed here for two weeks all inclusive and the hotel was clean and tidy but the food was really bad anyone who enjoys food at this level needs help.

The location is very good and only a short walk to the beach.

I found a lot of the hotel staff were ignorant and unpleasant.

The entertainment was very good for our daughter, but it's very long winded as it's all done in five different languages.

All in all this is a nice hotel but only visit if your Spanish or Italian and you don't mind them being rude to you as they tried to be with us but they soon learnt 18 stone of British man is not having it..

We really enjoyed our stay at the Barcelo hotel and would possibly go back and visit next year. We would definitely recommend this hotel to families.

The hotel was very nice, very clean, staff were very friendly and always polite.

The food was reasonable - I and my partner ate ok as we are not fussy eaters, the children were a bit stuck at evening meal times as there wasn’t much of a choice for them BUT.... there was a great snack bar which we used almost everyday!

The kids club was fantastic for all children - they were always kept entertained - never bored!

The only negative comment we could make was that it was not made clear to us about times places the kids club were meeting etc. There was a notice board but as it was in other languages - it could be quite difficult to understand. Other English families helped us out in the end

The hotel is just a stone's throw away from the beach, which is small but very clean and very pleasant. If need be the hotel kitchen will make you a picnic in advance - which was great! You just need to order this before 8pm the night before required. This was our first family holiday and it was certainly one to remember - it was great!

We travelled with Skytours and were not overly impressed by the service we received from them. We had no rep on the coach to the hotel apparently due to customer demand they have stopped this! There was a hotel rep who we met three days into our 7 day holiday - who knew nothing about the hotel, she just wanted to sell us excursions! Which can I add we had already missed the ones we could do with our children (waterparks etc)! When it was time to go home there was no Rep at the hotel. When the coach driver arrived we weren't sure whether it was ours! We asked the driver but he did not speak English! We just got on a coach in the end as the driver said he was going to the airport!

We would visit the hotel again but not with Skytours.

The hotel was immaculate. Towels were changed daily, and bedding on a 4 day rota. Everywhere was so clean, fresh and a lovely hotel to stay in. The entertainment team don't seem to stop from morning till night. The downside is that it seemed to us the hotel was geared towards Italian visitors, not that was a problem to us, it's just sometimes we felt "pushed to one side" in favour of the other guests. There was plenty of choice in the restaurant and the snack bar, especially if you like fish and salads! If you don't, then there is always pasta on, the sauces were a bit unrecognisable, but edible. The kids weren't overly impressed with the choice in the restaurant, but they always had the snack bar to visit.

On arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who was extremely pleasant and made special time to speak to our young son. This we found was the norm in this lovely hotel. All the staff smile and greet you and take a special pleasure in speaking to the children.
I personally kept waiting for something to be out of place or food not cooked adequately or just something not right. Lo and behold I found nothing to complain about or even report here. Oh, one thing. The strip light in out bathroom was not working. I reported it to reception first thing in the morning and it was replaced by the time we came back from breakfast!! That's what I call service.

The food was buffet service other than drinks. All the food was "signposted" in various languages. No need for the old dictionary here. My wife, Audrey, specifically loved the cheeses. Me too in fact. The buffet was always being topped up, no dried up or cold food was left out.

The hotel's location was great, only a couple of hundred yards from the beach. In between the main part of the hotel was a garden that my son loved walking in. "Can we go for a walk in our garden?" was heard from him on numerous occasions. Beyond that was a small kids playpark and a crazy golf course. Even that area had a couple of small swimming pools and a nice bar area. The main complex had 3 pools including a small paddling one for the tots. We didn't spend much time poolside. We preferred to hit the beach. 6 euros for a sunbed along with a parasol, but it was worth it. The beach was quite busy with both tourists and locals, but not so cramped that you were tripping over eachother.

Beside the beach there is a few restaraunts/cafes. Although we were all inclusive we had a couple of meals out at night in Punta Prima and a lovely night out in Es Castell. I would have to say that the food was not whae expected, but on the whole it was good in our nights out. The service everywhere was excellent. The waiters take time to explain things to you and take time to speak to the children and try and keep them amused.

The kids club was very good. It was run by a lovely lady who hails from Mallorca. She was ably assisted by staff who I think mainly hail from Italy. After the kids games and dances there was bingo some nights. After that every night had something different.

We would certainly go back to this hotel. If any of the staff happen to read this, we would like to say thank you for making our holiday so memorable. We will have many happy memories to treasure.

The location is up a hill but it is only about 200 mt to the beach.
The rooms are kept spotless and all the staff are friendly and helpfull.
The entertainment is more targeted at the younger age groups,
The food lets down the hotels 3 stars and they need to offer a better and more varied choice.

This was my first time abroad and will not be my last.me,my parents and my brother stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and all thurely enjoyed it.

The food was not brilliant but they had to cater for so many different nationalities, there was something for everyone.

The hotel has 3 pools, a jucuzzi, tennis court, mini golf, darts, shootin, table tennis, volly ball, a hairdresser,a shop.

A big shout out to the hole entertainment team-Christian,soniel,Mimo,Steve,Marlinda,Edo,Rosa and Eris you were all brilliant!Mimo for the areobics,Marlinda for the mini club and choosin me as cinderella,Edo for be so weird,Soneil for the street dancing and steve for just being steve!I'll miss you all!I enjoyed every part of my holiday, you can never get bored with activities for everyone at the hotel, the beach just 5 minutes down the road, mahon about 25minutes drive away. Theres a mini club for 4-12 year olds and a maxi club for 13-18 year olds and also daytime entertainment including water polo, dancing, aerobics and cocktail games. In the evening the entertainment team sometimes do shows including greace and moulin rouge, there are different kinds of entertainment including beauty contests and tribute bands.

Our holiday was excellent and the staff were all very friendly.

3rd year at this hotel I enjoyed it as much as ever. This hotel is extreamely clean there was always maids and cleaning men busying themselves. The food this year was better than previous years with a greater selection of food, my only complaint about the food is it was quite often lukewarm or cold. Punta Prima has a lovely beach but bars and restaurants are in low supply, there are a few shops which sell the usual things you would expect: lilos, novelty keyrings, cheap jewelery ect. The staff are very polite and can't do enough to help you. I know many of the barmen from the past 2 years (an few knew us). I would like to thank Angel Tuduri (barman) he is the best, although if we go back next year he may be an accountant, good luck Angel! Other barmen i would like to thank: Jose and his blue pants, Miguel and his highlights, Manuel for being 21 and scary and the other Manuel for stealing reciets when we were signing them. The entertainment was as brilliant as ever although we had seen alot of the shows before this entertainment team added a new twist to them. Thanks to Memo and his aerobics, Rosa and Eris for their excellent maxi-club, Soneil for his "easy" dance classes, Edo for wearing eyeliner and making my mum laugh when dancing with her, Steve for his footie training and old bag and Malou.

i ask myself one question, why isn't this a 4 star hotel? the hotel was emmaculate when we got there and we were relieved when we saw that the rooms were in excellent condition, very clean and spacious with completely new furnishings, they were lovely rooms and every room has its own balcony and t.v with sky.

The food wasn't the best, but it wasnt the worst, and that is what i think is holding i back from the 4 star boundaries. There were some nice foods there, but there wasnt very much to chose from and breakfast is the same, even though the food was very good quality.

The location of the Beacelo coulsnt have been better, the hotel is less that a 5 minute walk to the beah which is beautiful, it has golden sands, crystal clear warm blue waters and as you come out of the hotel you can see the different colours and it just looks amazing. The resort centre of Punta Prima is along the beach so you have a few restaurants. bars and mini - supermarkets which sell everything you need, even tesco mouthwash, which i thought was funny!

The hotel staff were very pleasent and friendly, always saying hello and having a smile on their faces to greet you, the bar service is very good and you dont need wait more than 5 minutes before they come to your attention.

The entertainment team, what can i say? They were absolutely amazing, they were the best i hae seen and i will probably ever see, they were always doing something whether it was water polo or archery to beach volley and even to street dancing and mango dancing, they were just amazing. i even did a spanish lesson! just like to shout out and say hello to Cristian, Nimo, Soeniel and Steve, you guys were amazing and it is thanks to you for an amazing holiday!

The evening entertainement was very good aswell, with the entertainment team doing some shows such as grease, which was extremely enjoyable and they asked teenagers if they'd like to join in and so they did a show of grease using some guests which was very good!

its thanks to all the aove that i would use this hotel again, and i highly reccommend it.

As i previoulsy said, i dont kow why this hotel isn't 4 star.

We had a fantastic holiday at the Barcelo Pueblo. I would recommend this hotel and the resort of Punta Prima to families, particularly those with young children but not necessarily to couples or groups of adults.

Comments on the hotel
Cleanliness: spotless; rooms were cleaned to a very high standard daily. The bar, restaurant, reception area and pool were also very clean and the gardens well maintained.
Hotel food: good range of food for all members of the party, including the three children (ages 4,5 and 6). Although there was no separate kids' buffet, there was plenty on offer to suit all tastes ranging from e.g. pasta with tomato suace or chicken nuggets and chips to salad, paella or swordfish.
Hotel location: only a very short walk to the beach and resort of Punta Prima and close to the airport - 30 minute transfer (approx) - ideal if travelling with children!
Hotel staff: Generally efficient and friendly. Special mention must go to the entertainment team, particularly Steve and Marlinde who looked after the kids at the mini club (See below for more details).
Entertainment: All three kids loved the entertainment programme, which included mini club twice a day, kids' disco, Disney films and plays that the children themselves performed in. For the adults and teenagers there were a lot of sporting activities such as water polo, football, archery, shooting, bowls... For those who prefer not to take part in organised sports there are three pools (plus a jacuzzi), tennis courts and a mini golf course at the hotel so lots to do!

We have no real criticisms of this hotel and would definitely go back again!

On arrival at the Barcelo Pueblo the first thing noted was the cleanliness of the hotel and the surrounding areas. This was also applicable to the bedrooms, the rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard, there was an ample supply of bath/hand towels which were changed every day, bedding was replaced once very 4 days. Even though there is no air conditioning in the rooms we did not find this a problem as the temperatures were fairly cool in the evening.

The buffet (breakfast and evening meal) provided was excellent with a wide variety of pasta, meat, fish, vegeterian dishes, puddings, fruit and biscuits and cheese. Even though there was no kids buffet there was plenty the youngsters would eat. Even the fussiest of eaters would be hard pushed not to find something they liked!!

Hotel Barcelo Pueblo is located approx 25 mins from Mahon airport so thankfully there is not a lengthy transfer to and from the airport. The beach (which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel) has beautiful golden sand, and rock pools where kids can fish for crabs and other sea creatures. There are about 4 supermarkets located in Punta Prima all selling groceries, alcohol and souveniers (however it must be noted they all close at 10pm). Within Punta Prima there are a handful of restaurants (5 mins walk from the hotel) noteably Sebestains which has views looking on to the beach and serves excellent meals for adults and children (cost approx 7euros and 3euross)

We found the hotel staff in the bar areas and the hotel to be effiecient and helpful at all times

The entertainment provided for adults during the day was comprised of sporting activities (archery, darts, football, pistol shooting, table tennis, water polo). The winners of these individual or group of activities would be awarded a certificate on the stage that evening. During the evening the entertainment would be either a hired act (parrot show, Spanish singing, Abba tribute band or audience participation) or the entertainment team putting on a show(Grease, Broadway Musicals). The evening entarttainment may have been quite amatureish however it was still enjoyable.

The kids entertainment was first class. A special mention must go to Steve and Marlinda who run the kids club and the evening programme for the children (they are superb)
The kids club runs from 10.30 - 12.30 and 15.30 - 17.30 and is open to children aged 4yrs - 12 yrs (a maxi club is available to the teenagers). In the kids club various activities take place including swimming games, beach volleyball, t-shirt painting and art and craft activities. There is a mini disco held every night from 20.30 - 21.00. Every Thursday the children get the opportunity to perform in a show on stage (either Peter Pan or Snow White). It must be noted that the majority of guests in this hotel are either Spanish, Italian or German (which makes a refreshing change from Spanish hotels been over run by the English). Therefore the kids club leaders/entertainers will not speak English as a first language. However this did not pose a problem for the adults or the kids in our party as everything was explained in numerous languages including English.

Although the rooms aren't overly exciting, they are kept spotlessly clean and they are comfortable. Don't try to use a hair dryer on full heat though, or it trips out the electricity supply.

The food is pretty good, there is good variety, catering for all tastes. I am a fussy eater and I liked it, so it can't be that bad. It's a buffet restaurant, so you can fill up as many plates as you like (and we did). The food was always fresh and well presented. A fresh cotton tablecloth is put on the table every time, before you eat, whether it was dirty or not. Some of the restaurant staff were not overly cheerfull, but most were OK.

Drinks are reasonably priced.

The entertainment staff are all excellent, as are the daytime activities that they organise. However, some of the evening entertainment was a little dissapointing. It was outdoors and rather noisy if you have kids that want to get to sleep.

The hotel is a pleasant two minute stroll to the Punta Prima beach and close to the transport and shops.

It's the first time that we have been to Menorca, but thanks to our experiences at the Pueblo, it certainly won't be the last.

The staff were very friendly and most helpful. The hotel was clean and well presented and the rooms although basic, were very clean. The location could not be faulted. The one enormous downside was the evening entertainment which goes on in the open air. The noise is almost unbearable and can be heard from anywhere on the complex. Our first room was at the rear of the stage and the noise was so bad , that my 8 years old grandson was very distressed. We were moved to the furthest block away and although this was a massive improvement, the noise was still audible.

went to this hotel last year, had been to a barcelo before in fuerteventura which was excellent so we could not wait to see if the standards are the same.

no!

on arrival the hotel looks lovely but we soon found the food was terrible and the staff in the dining room are the rudest i have ever met. yes they work long hours and it is hot, but go to the caribbean and you will see staff work in hotter conditions for longer and much less pay, and they smile.

while we were there a lot of spanish people arrived for their holiday. was i glad i can speak spanish and could understand the rude comments being made by staff to the spanish visitors about us english, did they get a surprise.

it was impossible to get served at the bar if you where not spanish.

all in all, i would not return, i am going to another barcelo hotel this year, so wish me luck, i might need it
