| said: I had a really enjoyable week. I found all staff to be friendly in fact they couldn’t do enough to make you feel more welcome.
I enjoyed the entertainment a lot as it encouraged you to speak and meet new people. They played a variety of games such as darts, boules and aqua aerobics. They even had an Arabic school which everyone took part in as why shouldn’t we learn a bit of their language when they speak 6 languages fluently. They played a variety of music from the 60's to present music. I couldn’t fault their evening entertainment as they made it fun for everyone.
The food was fantastic and thought that they had a wide selection which catered for everyone.
The hotel it self was fantastic and i went back for New Year and I am planning my trip for April.

| said: The hotel is definately not an International 5* hotel, although the front of house areas are very impressive, overall I would say it is closer to international 3* standard.
There were no facilities in the room for tea/coffee, no minibar (although there was a fridge) and no access to the internet for communicating with UK. Despite this, it was still the best hotel in the area.
The rooms are basic but clean and the sheets were changed daily. During our stay the hotel changed hands and there were small changes to the evening meal system. Initially, we had to help ourselves to starter, waiter service main course and self help dessert.
After the takeover the waiter service was discontinued in favour of a buffet type dinner - this suited us much better.
The location of the hotel was ideal, just a short walk through the pool area to the beach. The staff were extremely helpful and always provided a high quality service.
Although there was entertainment on every evening, it was pretty amateurish, however as we had decided to go for a quiet relaxing two weeks this didn't affect us.
Overall, we enjoyed the hotel and the surrounds as it provided what we were after - a quiet, clean and safe holiday location.

| said: Marhaba Imperial, was a fabulous hotel, after staying there four times,we have just returned, very annoyed and sorry to say we will not be returning.
There is no fault with food, staff, rooms cleanliness, but we have been going there for the simple reason, quiet, peacful, and wind down, this time, the hotel has been taken over by RIU,who in there wisdom, think that people want something called animation, entertainment around the pool area! Sorry we do not unwind to loud headbanging music, which normally the Germans swill there beer to. We are adults and can find our own if needed, the whole experience was something from Butlins, and we along with quite a few others who we spoke to,will not be returning.

| said: Been a while since June of course, and it seems as if the Hotel has been taken over by the Riu company and has as such changed since our visit, but hopefully our experience is still relevant.
The best thing about the hotel is definitely the friendliness and professionalism of its staff, they really do bend over backwards to help make your stay comfortable - though this was reflected in pretty much every restaurant and shop we ever went in - Tunisian people are clearly very warm-hearted.
The hotel rooms are fairly large, yet perhaps could do with a bit of an overhaul in terms of decor. Other than that, everything worked fine, cannot complain at all. There certainly is a mini-bar in the little fridge which is restocked should you decide to take any of the drinks, and there's an excellent quick room service with the ridiculously cheap wines brought rapidly to your room (had to wait so long in certain British hotels!)
The location of the hotel is good if you fancy the quick walk down to the excellent beach area in front of the hotel, however if you're wanting ease of access to PEK itself then its a bit of a long stroll along the beach, or hop in a taxi (don't worry they'll come to you!!!) for around 3-4Dinars depending on which driver you get.
The reason the entertainment gets a 1 is really that its more amusing than 'entertaining'. The piano player reminded me of the club singer from Only Fools and Horses who can't pwonounce his 'r's!!!
The hotel helped make this holiday a memorable one, though to be fair coming to Tunisia it should be more about the places you visit and things you do than about pools and pianos!

| said: Marhaba Imperial - Port El Kantaoui
The hotel was generally quite good and was probably a 5 star at some time but not at the present. There were 4/5 star standards with free sunbeds, mattresses and beach towels, bath robes in the bedroom and the sheets were changes every day.
Our main disappointment were the bedrooms. Whilst quite large and very clean they we did not consider them up to 4 star superior/5 star standards. They were generally very tired. The carpets were a bit stained, the toilet and bathroom were showing their age and the bedroom furniture was a bit creaky.
The food was really quite good although, in our view, more directed towards eastern european standards. There were quite a lot of Russian and eastern european guests. However if you did not like the main items of food there was a good range of salads, hot prepared food (eg fresh stir fry food) that you could feed up on.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is really good. Situated right on the beach with own dedicated beach area with free furniture and parasols - gets very busy obviously - and either a 30 to 45 minute walk along the beach or road to Port El Kantaoui. Instead of walking a taxi will cost you 3 to 4 Dinar (£1.50) to Port El Kantaoui or 5 to 6 Dinar to Sousse.
The entertainment however was woeful. There are tennis courts and plenty of beach sports (payable) but the daytime and evening entertainment was very poor. Poolside entertainment consisted of either darts (one set of darts!!) and Boules. There were water arobics but that was about it. Evening entertainment was not much better. On the 7 nights we were there the night club hosted a Mr/Mrs contest, a miss Marhaba and a Mr Marhaba

| said: This hotel was lovely. Exactly as it stated in the brochure.
The staff were super friendly and tried there best to do anything for you. A 24 hour reception makes life somewhat simpler as well.
There wasn't a bit of dust or dirt to be seen anywhere, not even by the poolside. It was spotless.
The food was also exceptional, always hot and fresh and will cater for all needs. The choice of desserts was great as was the general choice of foods. I didn't hear of one upset stomach from this hotel. Tuck in!
The location is as it says, it is in the quieter part of the Port but it's not a bad walk down the beach or just jump on the noddy train which picks up from near the entrance of the hotel and costs about 50p each. If not a taxi will cost no more than £1 to get you into the port itself. It's a bit more lively here with a few bars and shops.
Now for the only let down really, the entertainment! This was a bit of a let down really, the people involved were really friendly but in general it was really poor. There was next to no entertainment in the evening, it would appeal most to children aged 5-12 in my opinion. Not for adults. So most nights it was down to the port.
In general though the whole hotel was beautiful, the food was great, staff couldn't do enough to help, the rooms were beautifully clean, and the free clean towels by the pool are always an added benefit as well. Own private beach with no one hassling you. What more could you ask for!
We will definitely be returning here again.
