| said: We stayed at the Marianthi studios for one week and found our room (6) was basic and not very clean which was surprising as at arrival the pool and pool area were the opposite, its not a place we would holiday with our kids as there is nothing to keep kids/teenagers amused after dark except a pool table and a television. If you are a couple who do not intend to eat in or spend a lot of time in your room but just sunbathe/swim during the day and eat/drink out at night then Marianthi is well situated and fit for that purpose. The staff were helpfull and polite but proffesionally reserved. Snacks/drinks from the bar were nice and reasonably priced, pool was large and inviting with a small kiddies area and there were lots of loungers surrounding the pool. As a couple we had a relaxing week in a chilled out atmosphere and would consider going back.

| said: I found the Marianthi Studios to be typical of Greek self-catering apartments. They're a few minutes away from the restaurants, shops and bars of the main road.
The views from the apartments are great - right across Pefkos to the sea. The swimming pool is also very good - large for a "hotel" pool.
What spoilt these apartments for me was the Eclipse Bar which they overlook. This played very loud music until 1am each morning which meant that I could never get an early night or peacefully sit outside on the balcony in the evening or night.

| said: When we arrived at 5 in the morning there was no toilet paper and we had to wipe over all the work surfaces in the kitchen area and the bathroom as they were extremely sticky. After a short sleep we realised the apartment [no 12 ] needed some maintanence on it main light in second bedroom/kitchen never worked all week the shutter on main bedroom window was stuck and could not be pulled down this had been happening at least 10 times over the last few months and by the end of our weeks stay the toilet broke totally after having problems flushing it all week.
Our main complaint was not with the apartments but with the terrible loud music blasting out from the 3 nearby bars the main culprit being the Eclipse which played deafening music until 1pm every night.
We were told this was a quiet and peaceful resort which it was during the day but at night it was horrendous and we would never go back again.

| said: Room 22, arrived 5.30 am to find no towels, toilet paper not provided and a room that needed a good cleaning. Standards in these apartments are not as good as they could be e.g . sockets falling off the walls, rep got an electric shock trying to get the hairdryer to work. Air con would not work and at 100 euros per 2 weeks a waste of money, we were lucky and got a refund and rep gave us a fan. Pity about the rooms as the pool and bar area spotless. Time to smarten up these apartments and do quite a few repairs to bring them up to a safe and clean standard.

| said: we all enjoyed our stay at the marianthi apartments. the room was clean, spacious and well maintained by the maid service with towels changed regularly.
our room had a fantastic view over the pool, which was beautiful with plenty of sun loungers, and then to the sea, and from what we could make out every room had this same view.
the staff were unbelievably helpful and hardworking as they were up at dawn and still serving us at the bar well into the small hours always with a friendly smile and attitude.
the bar was great with a full selection of snacks and menu service.
although lacking formal entertainment there was the friendly bar, a pool table and everyone had a relaxed attitude towards each other which encouraged plenty of chat between parents and children alike which was plenty of entertainment for us.
the apartments are a stonesthrow away from the main street with ample restaurants and cocktail bars to suit all tastes, all child friendly.
the main beach was sandy and the water was shallow for a hundred yards or so which meant the kids could play safely. just down the road was another beach with rocks near the shoreline which our kids loved as they could snorkel over them and see all types of small and large fish.(even i ventured in to see, and it was amazing!).
as we all left the brothers who run the marianthi made a point of coming to everyone and saying goodbye with a warm smile.
my overall opinion of our stay at the marianthi is that it was to date the most relaxed and best family holiday we have ever had.

| said: We stayed for a wekk in July 07. Single parent with 2 teenagers. The studios are more suited to couples as there is little for children to do. The pool is lovely, with more than enough sunbeds. The pool/snack bar is very friendly with very reasonably priced snacks & drinks. We stayed in a new 2 bedroom apartment, very spacious, 2 terraces, big bathroom (with a great shower & hairdryer). Air con is a must as the aprtments get stifling.......
The location is up a steepish climb from the main shops & restaurants, and though there were a couple of bars nearby we did not have any problem with noise and had a good sea view. What stood out for us was the friendliness of the staff who genuinely couldn't do enough for you - if you weren't happy, nor were they. There was no entertainment as such, but restaurants and bars were a few minutes walk away - and the food/quality surpassed that of nearby Lindos.

| said: The Marianthi Studios were clean enough. Every studio has a fabulous view looking out to the bay of Pefkos and the back view is one of a mountain so we would say yes for that reason they are pretty good BUT just at the bottom of the road there are three bars all trying to out-do each other for noise.
One could be playing loud disco music and the other two are battling it out to produce the worst karaoke in the whole of the resort and what makes it worse is that the sounds all bounce off the mountain at the back of the studios. There is no escaping it. We never got any sleep. It took us until our third night there before we fell into a restless sleep through sheer exhaustion. The mattresses on the beds were so hard and lumpy - very uncomfortable. If you don't have a sore back when you arrive, you will when you leave.
On the positive side, the pool is just brill. There are lots of lilos provided to let you laze around the pool and the pool is a good size for a swim but one minute you are swimming in shallow water and the next it is pretty deep so watch when you enter the pool via the steps as you are in deep water. You could easily get flustered if you're not sure of the depth. Lots of sun beds to lie on too. No entertainment as such. Just a bar and a pool table, pretty grim really. We were dropped off at the studios at about 3 am and there were not lit up.
We did not see anywhere at the apartments the name Marianthi studios. The only name we saw at these studios was the Eagli bar, bit weird so if you are easily lost you won't see the name Marianthi to guide you. The studios were also stiffingly hot during the night so you have no choice but to open the patio door but catch 22 if you do that you are subjected to that deafening music until 3 am. Several times during our stay we took showers in the middle of the night just to cool down.
Once again the view is breathtaking but we will not be going back to Pefkos. We now need a rest from the 'rest' we were supposed to have in Pefkos.

| said: We stayed at the Marianthi Studios on a self catering basis, rooms were very clean staff very friendly maids came every day to clean, towels were changed about twice a week, rooms were very hot with patio door & shutter closed but we payed for air con which we desperately needed as weather was boiling.
Apartments were in a very good location about 2 mins from shops & resaurants/bars & about 15mins walk to beach. The pool was great very clean & poolside bar was great no entertainment but staff very friendly. Owners rottweilers were big but very friendly.
We would definatley come back to these apartments we had no complaints whatsoever.

| said: The hotel is in an excellent location, right next to the town only a 2min walk to your first bar. Even though you’re so close to the bars we never had a problem sleeping and we used to a have a sleep before we went out, so this is when the music was at its loudest.
The food is good, only ever ate bar snacks but were a good price.
Maids used to come in everyday but only had clean towels left twice in the week we were there.
The views from the room were amazing if you’re not in room 4 where we were, as your view is of a large tree which is right in front of you!!

| said: We stayed at the Marianthi apartments for 1 week in July, we arrived at 6am, so we were very tired. The apartments that we were in, appeared to be new. We could not fault anything. They were spotless, as they were cleaned every week day, fresh towels left every week day.
The hotel bar is constantly manned, and any problems appeared to be handled as quickly as possible.
The location of these apartments are excellent, they run parellel with the Main Street, we could cut down the set of stairs onto the main section, taking approx 2 mins to get into Pefkos Main section.
We were on the ground floor and there was never 1 time that i felt unsafe, the resort has a lovely atmosphere and is so relaxing.

Typical greek, basic but ok.We did not have much noise apart from unruly english people getting home at 5am. This only happened one night.
We would go back there. Good base for touring round island.

| said: This was the third time we've been to Pefkos and we've also been to other Greek islands, and the Marianthi was far and away the best accommodation we've stayed in. The views from our balcony were breathtaking and the apartment itself was spacious and well equipped. The beds were good too, which made a change!!
The pool must be one of the biggest in Pefkos and there was plenty of room around it, with sunbeds available free. The bar provides good snacks and drinks.
The resort centre is a couple of minutes' walk away.
