| said: apartments basic,as expected in greece.air con like a tractor,which was a must.expensive bar.had to get to pool early to get comfy sunbeds.more staff needed to run place efficiently.all areas in and out needed a good spring clean.apartment location not too bad as it was first one on top of hill.be careful on apartment choice always ask for balcony as some rooms were like dungeons (we were lucky!)we had top floor with balcony.litter on pool area there from day one.we spent most days on stalis beach but spent the first few and last few days round pool.litter and pool area not swept once.not all people like ouselves took their litter with them.would not return to these studios again.

| said: Just returned from Crete, we had an absolutely brilliant time at the Adonis Studios. The room was basic as you expect in Greece but were well cleaned and looked after well. The pool area was also clean and very spacious. The atmosphere around the studios was great, there was sport on TV, music, a pool table and drinking until what time you wanted.
The studios and location are ideal for people wanting a relaxing holiday away from all the hustle and bustle, but near enough to local amenities and varied night life.
The location was great. About a 5 minute walk to Koutouloufari which is a gorgeous village, with small winding traditional streets, full of restaurants, small bars and gift shops. The food was great and the staff very friendly. If you want a meal go there!!! If you want nightlife, a 15 minute walk down the hill to Hersonissos would get you just that. There are numerous bars, restaurants, clubs and gift shops. I would say the food in Hersonissos is not as good as in Koutouloufari. Getting back to the hotel from Hersonissos for some people may be a bit awkward for the steep hill back up to the Adonis. We didn’t find it a problem and an elderly couple into their 70’s and 80’s managed it every day after going to Star beach just at the bottom of the hill. A taxi back from Hersonissos should cost no more than €7 if needed.
We also hired a quad bike, which was brilliant. We nipped over to Malia and the smaller beaches the other side of Hersonissos stopping at small villages and towns en route to have a nosey around. Although a quad isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, there are other motorised vehicles and cars for hire at decent prices.
We couldn’t write this review without a special mention to Ben. WHAT A STAR!!!!!! Nothing too much for him at all! His local knowledge was great, always around to help and a great laugh. We hope to see Ben again soon and would definitely go back.

| said: The room allocated was pitifully small and reeked of damp and mould. The view was of the railings to the pool. There were a multitude of dead mosquito marks on the wall, the sink plug was revolting, the electrics loose by the shower head, mould on the ceiling, broken cupboard hinge, and a door that didn't lock. The noise from the bar was incessant and lasted until almost midnight - when asked to turn down the level of noise by another guest they were advised that 'you are not in the cemetery yet' Obviously had aspirations to be a club 18-30 DJ. Music was appalling 80's rock - no Greek music. I have read the other reviews of these apartments and despair - this is the very bottom end of what you can expect in Crete - this was our 10th visit to the island and we were appalled. The cleaning was sporadic and poor, and once our door was left unlocked after she had left. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. We have never had cause to complain in the past - I was on the phone complaining to First Choice from the moment we arrived but they would only upgrade us ( at a cost ) to Malia!

| said: We have just returned from a holiday to Adonis Studios, we booked it 10 days before we left and could not find out much about it. What a great surprise when we got there Ben was there to greet us and help us to our room the apartments are in a quiet,relaxed area of Hersonissos but only 15 minutes away from the nightlife. The room was basic but ok and we didnt intend to spend much time there anyway. Ben our multi tasking host was fantastic he was welcoming,hardworking and full of information if you want to know something he's your man. The pool is lovely and clean and never crowded and because the the resort is small you will make lots of friends and spend many an evening around the bar drinking far too many cocktails, shots you name it Ben has it. We had a fantastic holiday and will return, so Yammas Ben and if your thirsty have a Whisky on us you deserve it.This may not be a 5 star resort but for hospitality and a warm welcome it would get a 10 in our book any day.

| said: i just arrived back from holiday yesterday and have spent the whole day trying to find out details for revisiting adonis studios again next year as i had such an enjoyable time.
The apartments were just a short walk to the pretty villages where there was a range of resteraunts with beautiful roof gardens which overlooked the island and a downhill walk to a variety of souvenir shops, supermarkets, a car hire shop, a go kart centre and several quiet sandy beaches.
The apartments were small and cosy which was a perfect size for the two of us staying there. The rooms had air conditioning for a reasonable sum extra which i would really recommend as it got very hot in the rooms and a small safe also for a little extra but al worth it knowing your valuables are totally secure. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned every other day by the extremely friendly cleaner.
The swimming pool was a decent size and at a great temprature. There were plenty of sun beds situated around the pool and the space was never crowded.
Not forgetting to mention Ben the fantastic barman/chef/manager/comedian who kept the whole site alive with his lively character. He seemed to be awake from early morning cooking breakfasts to late night/early morning pouring cocktails and still managed to keep a smile on his face and all the residents. Whenever you needed to know anything about places to visit or eat he would roll off a list of venues he thought you would enjoy. He was great with the children on the site and was every aduts best friend.
Definately going to visit again next year most of all so i can see cheeky Ben again !

| said: We have just come back from a fantastic holiday at the Adonis in Koutouloufari, booked on a late deal. We thought the location was okay as we wanted a chill out holiday. The village of Koutouloufari was beautiful, typical greek. As soon as we arrived we felt very happy. The pool was fantastic and very clean. The lady who cleans was very good and very friendly with us. Asked if I was okay etc. Ben who was fantastic made us very welcome from the start to the end of our holiday. Nothing was a problem to him and he always had a smile. We would definately stay at Adonis again!

| said: We had a fantastic holiday, Adonis studios were in a great location, near enough to walk into Hersonissos and the beach, but also very near Koutouloufari which had some great places to eat (especially Galini – dancing with the waiters occurred both times we ate there!). We were greeted by Ben on arrival who was great throughout the whole holiday….often supplying us with some amazing cocktails and shots of ouzo before we headed off into town (and then some much needed coffee in the morning). Its amazing the amount of hours he puts in, yet is still so welcoming and friendly. I would definitely love to go back and if you do read this Ben thanks for helping make it such a great holiday! | said: We have just got back from Adonis Studios. We went on a late deal for a week. Our son is 10 1/2 months old and crawling around. The studios were basic as you would expect in Greece but spacious for the 3 of us to live in, and him to crawl around. Although the cleaner could do with a lesson in her trade as she was quite unpleasant and mopped round things, probably best not to look under the bed, but will say the bathroom was clean. Cooking facilities not great in the room. Bar was good and as well priced as the rest of the resort. The swimming pool was great and plenty of sunbeds.

| said: Adonis Studios is an ideal location if you want to get away and relax and chill, with the added benefit of entertainment nearby if you wish. With it being a small complex the pool was never overcrowded always got a sun lounger result! Tavernas and restaurants all nearby, The Manager Ben is a credit to the Adonis Studios and nothing was too much trouble and kept us in great cocktails and entertained us night after night. We will definately return! Ben how is your Moonpig?.We miss you lots and will see you soon.

| said: To start we were in shock with the location of the hotel, but when we eventually settled in it wasn't so bad...just that hill!! We were greeted by Ben, who was terrific the whole holiday. Always working and entertaining guests...the rope trick will really get you, we still don't Know it!! There is the option of air-con in the room which we didn't purchase, but i recommend you do. The hotel prices are pretty fair, but hersonissos seems just as costly as britain! Apart from the mosquitos and the hill, brilliant relaxing little hotel with friendly hardworking staff...oh and the pool is perfect, chlorine levels and hygiene are perfect, nice qand deep too! Hello Ben if you ever read these...take care, Terri and Max x

| said: The Andonis Apartments were very basic as you would expect in Greece. The barman odd job man happy guy Ben was such a pleasure to meet, nothing was a trouble to him, he did everything except the cleaning, (shame really as cleaner not so good) The location of the Andonis is ok if you are fit and healthy otherwise you would not venture to the beach or even the local bus. It is ok going downhill to beach etc. however if not so fit would say get a taxi they are cheap enough. Supermarkets and bakers all within easy walking distance as are bars and restaurants.

| said: We arrived in the middle of the night & at that time the apartment looked ok.
We had a good view out to sea, but if want to go to the sea be prepared for a very steep hill.
The staff came into our room when we were out & shoved all our belongings in the wardrobe and left the door to the apartment unlocked! This was not maid service and there was no explanation for this even though there was ample opportunity for one! It was almost like being burgled.
The pool side toilets were disgusting and the room where you had to wait for the coach transfer was unsecure with no air-conditioning
Asked to leave the room early even though we paid extra.
We will never go back

| said: These clean simple apartments were an ideal base for our family holiday. A small complex of 17 apartments meant the well maintained pool was never overcrowded.All our needs were superbly met primariy due to the efforts of the always smiling resident bar-man/caretaker/all round good guy,Benny.The owner,Nikos is very friendly and many thanks to him for giving us all a lift into Old Hersonnissos for the Greek Night.

| said: The apartments were quite basic, but all you need for a holiday, as you dont spend any time in there apart from to sleep. The area was fantastic quiet but close to hersonissos if you wanted a more lively atmosphere. enjoyed our week there that much that we have just booked to go back for 2 weeks this year to try and get everything in.
credit to Ben as he made the holiday even more entertaining. hope he is there this year cus he his the main reason we have booked the same place.

| said: Brilliant time at the Andonis!! When we arrived we were greeted by a smiling Ben (manager) who took our bags to our rooms for us. Ben was the only member of staff we ever saw and he was fab!. He kept the pool really clean, made our cocktails(which were always very special and usually with a sparkler or 2!) and made light meals for us at the bar. Ben, who is a man of many talents would also keep the bar open for as long as people would be drinking, and wasnt unusual for the majority of us stayin there to be drinkin till the sun was almost up!
The atmosphere was great, mainly due to the fact that there weren't too many appartments and also meant that the pool area was never overcrowded.
The rooms are basic but have everything you need, including a safe and air conditioning, which you have to pay extra for. The pool side toilets are less than desirable and not very clean so we always used our own room which was actually closer anyway.
Fantastic location. We were so lucky. The centre of the village Koutouloufari was so close only 5-10 min walk, and we ate at many different fantastic restaurants. The closest shop is literally a 2 minute walk away and they stocked everything we needed.

| said: Absolutely great! - Couldn't fault it at all...Had one of the best times in my life.
The staff here (aside from cleaners) appeared to consist of 'Ben' who was again absolutely great: He was an excellent barman and friend and really helped to make the holiday as fun as it was!
I'd really recommend this hotel to anyone! - Have fun if you are going!

| said: We arrived at the apartments at 5am after quite a delay at Crete airport waiting for the luggage. It was nice to be greeted by a smiling face from Ben the barman who appeared to do most jobs around the site, including rescuing a child from the pool.
He took charge of the ladies luggage and carried it to the various rooms, he also started the air conditioning for us, which was a must as we arrived during the heatwave when temperatures reached 45 degrees on most days, with 35 degrees in the shade.
The reception was the bar which was most welcome after travelling for 12 hours from home. The apartments were basic which you expect in Greece, but everything you needed. Power cuts happened nearly every day due to the power problem during the heatwave, power was cut in certain areas for 2 hours due to the overload with the aircon. Also don't expect water when you want it as it was pumped up to the top apartments by electricity.
Everyone was very friendly and if you wanted a nice meal you could walk into the nearby village which would take about 10 mins, or walk down to the coast into Hersonissus, if you didn't want to walk taxis charged 6 euros to both places. You could go to Malia for 15 euros if you wanted even more nightlife.
My husband broke his thumb while we were away, but I can only praise the Cretan medical centre in Hersonissus, much better than our local hospital. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay and would go back.
We went on the first week with the new owners, who both introduced themselves to us.
