We stayed all inclusive which is something we had not done before. The food was well prepared and tasty with something for everyone. If you missed a restaurant meal there was a pool bar that served pizza, baps, cake & icecream, beer, wine and soft drinks.

The hotel was very clean and bright with plenty of staff members to ensure this. Our room was lovely, overlooking the sea and light and airy. Our apartment was set in landscaped grounds that were well tended by the staff. The view from our balcony was fabulous.

The hotel staff were lovely. We found them to be very friendly and efficient.

we would visit this hotel again, even though it was isolated. The little resort of Mastihari is just a 30 minute walk away from the beach and was very pleasant. We walked there on a frew occasions because there was not much on offer for entertainment in the hotel. The animation team did there best, but they were mainly there to entertain the children (who all seemed to worship them which was nice)

The Hotel was nice however a lot bigger than we expected. We had a couple of problems with the drains in the rooms however the hotel offered a choice of rooms to change too all rooms were of a comfortable standard and clean. There is a few different rooms to choose from 200`s & 300`s was very close to the outside bar and ideal for families with young children as these are very close to the children’s outside pool.

All rooms were 2 storey either with a set of patio doors opening onto a balcony or the ground floor rooms opened up onto a small veranda area in front of your room. 600`s- 900`s was in a quieter location with nice views of the beach and you could see Mastihari village from these rooms and also closer to the restaurant.

Rooms less than 100 was set right at the beach and these are just going through a revamp ready for next year. The hotel has its own beach which was lovely.

The hotel grounds was lovely with many fruit and olive trees around the complex The only problem we had was the isolation of the hotel there was one small shop opposite the hotel with limited choice.

If you missed a meal there wasn’t any where to buy anything from. And also not being a cat lover was a problem as there was a lot of cats wandering around.

Considering we went late in the season the entertainment was still good a nice atmosphere and good children’s clubs.

Nice choice of food and drinks, we took are own tea bags but the milk they use is condensed from a tin, this took a bit of getting use too!

The nearest village was about a 20 minute walk - Mastihari a very small sleepy fishing village, which was easily accessed via a pleasant beach path.

Here you could get a bus to Kos town for 2.10euro or a bus to Kardemena which was a bigger town with lots of shops and bars for 1.10euro. There seems to be a set price of 15euro to travel by taxi for 4 people to most of the local towns.

However you have to walk up to Mastihari to get a taxi we would travel by bus going and return back via taxi and it would take us back to the hotel.

We wouldn’t go to this hotel again simply because of the location. On a positive note we came back with money this being a first only because there wasn’t any where to spend it!

This was our second visit to this hotel in 18 months. If you're looking for a quite relaxing holiday then this hotel is for you.

The hotel and grounds are kept spotless by an arms of cleaners. Our towels where changed every day. Food - always plenty of choice, you have to remember that this hotel caters for many nationalities.

Breakfast-you name it they have it,(if you want wall's sausage and danpak bacon then stay at home)cerial, rolls, toast, fruit, yougart, cheese, eggs(scrambled and fried),Beans, hot frankfurters and bacon. What more could they offer? OK so no danish or cousants.

Lunch and the evening meal were always excellent. There are snacks at the pool bar rolls and warm pastry nibbles if your still hungry.

The pool is huge, there are always sun loungers vacant so no mad rush in the morning. Plenty of shadey areas if required. The beach is a two minute walk through the gardens, plenty of free sunloungers the beach is cleared of sea weed most days.

Entertainment - Not the best is all I will say. The village of Mastahri is a 25 minute slow walk along a beach path, the path is well lit.

There are plenty of bars and places to eat if you fancy a night out.At the harbour in the Village you can catch the ferry over to differnet Islands well worth a trip. The hotel offers a bus service into Kos most days at a reasonable price, it drops you off, gives you a few hours to wander around and then picks you up.

As stated if your looking for a get away from it all relaxing holiday I would deffinetly visit this hotel. The staff are a mixed bunch, a lesson in smiling wouldn't go amiss for some but this only adds to the holiday experience.

The hotel in itself is ok. It was very clean with nice attractive gardens.

It’s got a great sized pool but it could have been cleaner it was a bit murky, we were told the pumps were broken so may well be fixed now.

The food was ok but much the same every day.

The entertainment in the hotel was absolute rubbish and some nights none existent at all.

The hotel is situated in the middle of nowhere so the entertainment needs to be better. Matsihari village is nice it’s about a 30 mins walk along the sea front path. When you get there, there are some nice cafe/bars to eat in.

The Achilleas Beach has both good and bad points, no half measures. I have listed them below:

Bad Points.

1) Smell of sewage outside reception.
2) Reception area sparse with shabby seating.
3) If arriving at night beware the trip through
partially lit grounds to your room.
4) Some of the accommodation is appalling, not even 2
star standard. If offered one of these reject it - good rooms do exist!
5) Mastihari village is a good 30 mins. Walk along a
partly-lit beach path strewn with litter.
6) Entertainment at the hotel is virtually non-
existent, a big problem in such an isolated location.

Good Points.

1) The food was surprisingly good - fresh, well cooked
and varied. Pool bar snacks were plentiful & fresh.
2) The all-inclusive range of drinks was good, with
premium German beer on tap in all locations.
3) The grounds were pretty and well kept, public areas
were extremely clean.
4) The large pool and its surrounding area were
immaculate with plenty of loungers available.
5) Room housekeeping was very good with clean linen &
towels regularly supplied.

Overall I would say that the hotel is well past its best and needs major refurbishment to warrant a 4 star rating.
