Hi my family and I spent two weeks at club Lapethos in Northern Cyprus flying out on 29/08/04 from Manchester.
I can honestly say this is the best holiday I have ever been on.
The hotel and accommodation was kept spotless, food was superb an excellent choice of Turkish Mediterranean food with superb choice of salads accompaniments and sweets (we particularly enjoyed the baklava a very sweet type of local cake) as soon as plates were empty they were removed by the very helpful and friendly staff.
There was also some themed food evenings including a Turkish night where pita bread was made freshly in front of you. Entertainment was a bit sparse but if you want a relaxing holiday this is for you there is no beach at this hotel but these are easily accessible if you hire a car instead there was an underpass to go through which went under the road above, this came out at a jetty with a platform at the end of it with sun beds to lie on from here you could dive straight into the Mediterranean sea.(by the way the underpass wasn’t how I imagined it, instead it was all marble and fully lit.
After a couple of days the bar staff were bringing us drinks without asking! We had two wonderful weeks here and are strongly thinking of booking again this year as I think for the money paid you would have to look hard to better this.

This hotel is superb. This is the second time we've stayed here.
Food was a bit strange in 2003 but this time it was totally spot on.
The staff are brilliant and they could not be more helpful.
Everything is kept spotlessly clean.
The only drawback is the entertainment which is not to a high standard but at the price of the holiday what can anyone expect, given that all else is superb.
We will definitely be back for a third time.

The food was mainly Turkish & poor quality. Hygiene standards in restaurant were diabolical!
A lot of the bar staff were inexperienced young lads who hadn't got a clue when it came to serving drinks. Complaints were regularly ignored or brushed off.
Ice cream only available during a brief late afternoon window which meant queuing up for a pathetic plate of slop (no spoons).
The only plus points were the rooms were ok and the Casino was good.
Entertainment consisted of 1 night only (10 night stay) a guy on a guitar in restaurant during dinner!.
Overall, definitely would not stay at this hotel again
