| said: After twice a year for 12 years plus always 2 weeks car hire I reckon I know Crete. Unfortunately I was booked into the Adele studios this past October. I just wonder where some folk get there ideas from.
Sandwiched twixt two roads 50 metres either way the main hi-way and the old road to Heraklion. This complex is high on carbon monoxide and low ozone. High on noise and non existent parking although Olympic will fix you up with a hire car they cannot advise you where to park it (round the back 200 metres on a non-lit road full of holes ) as for a view of the beach yes we did have one from our balcony but required bi-nocs focusing down the side of a narrow walled building. Not cleaned daily and a cooker that comes to pieces (that kept me occupied ).
The barman I mistook for the owner and the owner I mistook for the cleaner (he was in fact the cleaner) I didn't like the barman cos we never found him after a quick " wotcha mate " (in Greek) on arrival till the day we left. On the other hand Manolas (the boss) was a typical Cretan (they are not Greeks by the way) a nice all round guy a true "akis" (small person), a name given to all Cretans by the Turks during there occupation. Wonderful people but watch out for the sharks from Athens who are Greeks If you like noise and plenty of bars etc then go to Malia, now don't get me started on that!!!

| said: When I visited this hotel it was my third visit there. I have always found the family very hard working, warm and helpful. Various family members have different levels of communicating in English and so there is always someone to discuss things with. The family have a very good sense of humour and are good fun.
The hotel is always very clean. Last year I found that the bar area was not open as much in the evenings and since this is the main social area of the hotel I would have found it a bit better had this been open since it gives you the opportunity to meet other guests.

| said: We spent a week in Adele Studios in July 2006. The accommodation was basic but very clean & the rooms were a good size.
The families which run these 2 apartment blocks are very friendly although they do not speak very good English.
The Adele Studios are situated on the main road that runs trough Adele were there are plenty of bars & taverns owned & staffed by very friendly people & serving enjoyable food.
There is a taxi rank & bus stop 2 minutes walk if you want to venture out of Adele.
The beach is only a short distance away but it is shingles & the sea is quite choppy. There are a few bars along the beach serving food & drink.
Adele is a short & cheap taxi journey to Rethymon were there is plenty to do & a lovely beach.
A lovely relaxing holiday. Would definitely visit again but watch out for the mosquitos!

| said: Adele Studios is split into two halves, run by brothers who don’t see eye to eye, which is why there is now a wall down the middle making Adele I and Adele II.
The studios are quite well located being situated on a road where there are many taverna’s, supermarkets and souvenir shops. We could see the sea from our balcony and it is only a short walk down to the beach.
Fortunately we had a room on the front of the apartment block as the back is near a main road, which is non-stop 24-hour traffic, and apparently very noisy at night.
As other people have said the room is very basic but has all the essentials; sink, cooking hob (watch out for the dodgy sockets), kettle, fridge, pots and pans, cutlery, beds, and a bathroom with a shower and curtain.
The rooms are maintained very well being cleaned every day apart from the weekends. Towels and sheets are changed at least twice a week and the family who run Adele II are so friendly and will try to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
The pool at Adele II is very nice and also has a smaller pool for those who would prefer to be on their own. Both Adele Studios are classed as the same accommodation so you are free to go and use the facilities of both if you wish.
There are safe boxes in the rooms which cost €10 a week to hire, and also the option of having air-con which will cost you €5 per night and it does make a difference!
Costas the brother who runs Adele II is the star of the show here though and is such a friendly man along with his family who work all hours of the day. Although his English isn’t brilliant you can have a good conversation and a laugh with him.
After you have been out for night and the bar is open Costas will try to sway you in for a drink but he is not at pushy if you just want to head to bed even if you do feel obliged to go and have a quick one. Saying that there was always a good bunch of people around you could sit around and have a chat before hitting the sack. I would recommend making sure you douse yourself in mozzie spray though before sitting outside because there are loads of the little buggers!
Overall our two-week stay was excellent, we had great food, the weather was great, and the family running Adele II are a joy

| said: The room was specious and clean, very basic, what you'd expect from a Greek self catering apartment.
The hotel staff were friendly if a little bit pushy to have you eating and drinking there every night. The location is good and you are close to the beach and there is lots of choice for restaurants from traditional Greek tavernas to Indian and Chinese food.
The pool area is very nice and the whole site is kept very clean.

Lovely pool in Adele 2 not so keen on Adele 1 (split into two buildings) Adele 2 has a lovely pool bar with a fab family running it, really nice, plenty of room etc.
