| said: We arrived at the aquasol late at night so all seemed well at first. Room looked ok at until all the little ants and cocroaches came out. Not very nice when you have 2 children sleeping on the sofa beds and they wake up with ants everywhere. The hotel is advertised as family friendly, it's not that family friendly when you have groups of 18-30's holiday makers screaming, swearing, running up and down the stairs at 4 in the morning. I would have joined in with them but i couldnt get past the giant cocroaches. I cant comment on the food although the pool bar was always busy with people eating there. We did stay for the BBQ night, it was ok and the entertainment staff did a good job. You do have air con in the appartments but you have to pay for it at reception. We were not told this when we booked in, but when the air con broke down and water was dripping down the wall we called reception and was told that we had not paid for it and so owed them 100 euros (we refused to pay)and they excepted our explanation and came to repair it. The pool is nice and you do need to get up early to get a sun lounger. The 18-30's lot dont get round the pool till arround 2:00pm no suprise really as they dont go to bed till about 6:00am so you have most of the day to relax before they all get up. The kids club was good my children enjoyd it and the staff were great. our room was not cleaned very well and you can see why when they spend all ther time rooting through your things and helping them selves to your belongings we must have had 6 things stolen whilst we were there. So if you want my oppinion dont go if you have already booked, cancel it. unless you are a insect or 18-30's kind of person.

| said: Stayed for two nights, execellent value for money. Could not fault the cleaniness, location was excellent two minute stroll into the center. The supermarket in hotel is way over priced £1.05 for a crunchie. Staff were excellent weather wasnt bad either. resort a little bit quiet in the night, many just opening up for the season. We got a taxi into magaluff to a bar called Benny Hills family friendily bar only 3.5 euros in a taxi.
Going back end of april and will be booking again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, beach two minute walk as well.

Rooms were nice and clean and had all we needed for our stay, coffee to start the day and then out for breakfast. Plenty of places too eat out and all very good.
Spent much of our time at the beach which is one of the BEST I've ever seen, clean, lovely sand, and crystal clear water which is so safe I will be taking grandkids next year.
i would highly recommend this hotel and resort.

| said: I was absolutely dreading going to this hotel when i read the reviews on this website! I was expecting ants and cockroaches, the lot. However I was very pleased not to have found even one ant or one cockroache the entire stay.
The hotel room was murky, it needed a 'good clean', it was rather dusty. The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets were only changes twice, as were our towels, which was pretty grim. The shower seemed to have a mind of its own also, one minute freezing, the next scorching!
The pool area was very clean and well set out altho there was sometimes a shortage of space!
The staff were mostly very friendly and tried their best to speak English. The service, bar and snack wise, was excellent.
The entertainment was typical of hotel entertainment, bingo, kids disco, magician etc. We only ever really stayed for bingo! We usually went to magaluf or to other bars for a change.
The location was excellent, more or less across the road from the beach and bars and restaurants along the front. I would recommend the mexican restaurant, I can't remember the name but it is the only mexican restaurant on the island apparently! It is situated on the front across from the beach.
I wouldn't go back to the hotel purely due to the rooms being unclean and the lack of maid service. The rest of the holiday was excellent.

The rooms was very nice, quite spacious with seperate bedroom and two sofa beds in the lounge. The powershower in the bathroom was great the heat did go up and down, but by the time we came home we had got the settings just right.
Hotel itself was great, nice pool area, and bar area. We didn't eat in the hotel but it smelt nice!
Stayed in to watch the entertainment once, it was very good.
The location of the hotel is great 2 minute walk and you are on the beach front and the main area of Palma Nova.
I would have no problems staying here again and recommend it to anybody!

| said: The hotel was clean and well serviced, nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
This hotel is not suitable for the older person or those with a disability as no matter where you stay there are steps to each apartment. Carrying luggage, buggies or babies is difficult.
The restaurant was clean and the food excellent run on a buffet service so you can help yourself again and again if you are that hungry. The only down side to the dining area was it is down a large flight of stairs so again difficulties for the older, and youngest guests. (Mums and dads were carrying small children downstairs and the highchairs did not have safety harnesses so parents were bringing down buggies for the little ones.)
Accommodation is arranged in blocks 4 tiers high with no lifts. Some blocks are located near a busy road where there is constant noise day and night. Blocks A to G are located around the pool area and in our opinion the best but the noise from the evening entertainment continues until approx 11.30pm.
Hotel mini market best avoided as very expensive,in the hotel, newspapers also have an additional 50c added to the price (cheaper at the paper shops)
The entertainers were excellent Yvonne and Garry would do anything to make your stay pleasant. The Thomas Cook reps were also very friendly and helpful.
All in all we had a really nice time and would recommend this hotel for young families.

Poolside snack bar served excellent food throughout the day, cannot comment on restaurant as we ate out every night.
Pool is excellent, but there is a shortage of sunbeds.
Hotel is in a good location for beach, shops, bars etc but is also on the main route to Magalluf and is very noisy if you are situated at the front of the hotel.
The hotel staff are very nice and helpful and speak good English.
The entertainment wasn't very good but as there is a lot of bars etc close by you don't have to stay in the hotel every night.
Overall the hotel was good value for money and great for families.

We were at the front of the hotel up on the top floor guite a few steps to climb but keeps you fit!! A bit of noise from people coming in a night but they are only young once and just people having a good time as Im only in my early 30's it didnt bother me too much.
The pool area was very clean and a great pool, the kids loved it,found out its wise to put your towels on the sun loungers early as they soon get snapped up. Andy and Yvonne were great the kids always joined in with the killer pool etc.
The entertainment at night - some acts were great, worth watching was the magician, and Elvis.
A few ants in the kitchen area but got some spray from reception, overall a good holiday.

| said: Our holiday was between 25thjuly-2nd august got into our room at about 1pm, was at the back of the apartment blocks (block m)a bit of traffic noise but not too bad.
Entertainment was okay kids went to kids club. A couple of times I got woken by people talking outside our apartment but the security quard moved them on,I do think that Thomas Cook should advertise this as a mainly family hotel because there were quite a lot of same sex young groups but luckily there was never any trouble.
By the time I left a lot of families were there. also a lot of people were leaving their towels on the sun loungers and going out all day this only started happening in the 5th day of our holiday thank god!! so be warned if you go in the kids 6 week holiday go the day after they break up and you should be ok not too packed.
I would definitley go back. Booked flights with BMI from Heathrow and accommodation with Broadwaytravel but will book direct with hotel next time as it was cheaper.

The pool area is nice and there is always plenty of sunbeds, even in afternoon. We didnt eat alot there as we tended to venture out but some of the snacks were ok,and the staff were really nice.Could have done with the maids changing towels more often and bringing more toilet roll as we kept running out!!
The location of the hotel isnt far from Magaluf but we always got taxis which cost about 3euros. Overall I would return to this hotel as a group but not as a family

| said: Just arrived back with my mother and two kids aged 8 & 7 and have never been so tired! We arrived at the Aquasol FAMILY Hotel apartments after it was recommended to me by in-laws who had stayed there with friends in May this year and was ensured that this was a clean, well run, entertaining, family hotel!!!
I think they must have gave me the wrong details or they are suffering from dementia!! I had requested a low floor apartment due to my mother suffering from asthma, and was ensured that this wasn"t going to be a problem, but just to make sure I e-mailed them direct and phoned 2 days before arrival and was promised a low floor! 5 flights of stairs is not in my opinion low floor! As we arrived at 2am we accepted, on the grounds that we would be requesting a move the following morning, this proved to be a fruitless exercise, not to worry we thought let's get a good nights sleep but oh no! Sleep was not on the agenda due to the fact that this family hotel was 90% full of 18-30s!! Sleeping during the day banging shouting and fighting and partying during the night. Out of the 150 or so apartments there was only 9 children and 2 of them were mine! 3 times the police were called in but with only one security guard/shop assistant on call to handle any complaints this was no surprise!
The maid service was non existent after 5 days of sleeping on the same sheets in the height of summer I had to ask for room service! I would like to add at this point that the sheets and towels were only changed once in our 10 day stay and that was on my request!
The entertainment was quite good but was only attended by the guests with kids {all 11 of us}.
On that note I will sign off and hope that anyone with kids reads this before they book this hostal!!

We paid for half board and had to eat out every night its that bad. 1 night we decided to give it ago and the lady that takes your name at the door cheered cause someone was actually eating in the restaurant.
The breakfast was ok in the morning.
My hubby asked the rep if it was an 18 to 30s holiday it full of young people they took over the pool during the day and the young kids couldn't play in the pool.
p.s im only 39 so I know how to enjoy myself but these guys were bursting all the kids inflatables flinging chairs into the pool it was a disgrace for a thomas cook holiday and I will never be back xxxxxxx

Don't know what the entertainment was like didn't really stay in the hotel much.
The hotel is on the main road and is a short walk away from the centre of Magaluf which is were you need to go during your holiday.

When you are on holiday you really can't be bothered to tidy up after your self so its great that that gets done for you. Beware of the security guard, we named him Pedro he comes around knocking on doors and telling you to be quiet, he also kicked some boys out of the hotel because they jumped in to the pool naked that was funny ????

| said: We took my parents on holiday with us this year. And they gave us a 4th floor apartment, there is no lifts but around 300 or so steps to climb. Needless to say you couldn’t get your breath when you got to the top.
The apartment was covered in ants, [we had to throw food away.] Second day we had 2 lights go but they was sorted pretty quickly.
Staff were polite.
The pool was over run by teenagers, it wasn’t the family complex we were led to belief.
I’m glad we don’t have children because they would be woken at 2 in the morning by shouting & banging and this would carry on till about 6ish.they was jumping in the pool & falling to sleep on sun loungers. We got no sleep at all.
The place was pretty clean but our bed linen was changed only a couple of times.

| said: Apartments
Got exactly what we asked for, an apt. facing the pool, one up. No complaints about the apt.(other than having to wait till 2.00pm to get the keys), it was very clean, a good size and actually had a 4 ring cooker with an oven should you wish to cook.
Towels were changed every other day and if you wanted sheets changed you only had to ask at reception. Some ants, reported it to reception at night time who sent up a spray which didn’t help much. However the next day a maid brought a different spray and we never saw another ant during the rest of our holiday.
Don’t hire a fan from reception, it will cost you 36 euros, walk across the waste ground to the big supermarket ‘ Caprabo’ where you can buy one for 11 euros. At that price you can pass it on to another family.
Plenty of loungers, we laughed at the 6/7am brigade, as you were ok up until 2ish for an empty bed!
Staff
Found all the hotel staff to be friendly and helpful and the children's reps (both the resident and T. Cook’s) to be excellent and worked their socks off. T. Cook’s reps, Clare and Rob - Clare was very helpful, Rob wasn’t interested unless you were under 30.
Don’t book any trips with the reps. If you are doing the water parks and have children, buy your tickets from reception where you get a child free for every 2 adults. Again if you are booking Pirates (a must do trip!) don’t do it with T.Cook. It is a first class show, but the reps appear to have a little scam going with a bar (Mano’s) where you are told to meet for 6.30. you are then ‘trapped’ until 7.30 when you are marched up the road like a Sunday school trip! During this time you are naturally buying drinks and I was amazed to find a T. Cook kiddie rep doing face painting in the bar and actually charging one euro for each child, nice little earner cos you try telling your child No. Add to this you have to find your own transport both ways, my suggestion is ‘do it yourself’.
Resort
Absolutely beautiful beaches and walks with very friendly people, but starting to fill up with ‘yobs’ as we left. Very good eating places and prices very reasonable. Both water parks are very good, would give Marineland a miss unless you are desperate to see dolphins. We didn’t find much to keep our little one amused after seeing the dolphin show and headed home after 2 hours. Fantasy golf is excellent and although a bit expensive for four, it was well worth the money.
We would never go back to the Aquasol as our second week was completely ruined by the teams of ‘yobs’ staggering drunkenly back from 2am till 7am, roaring at the top of their voices and always finding it necessary to jump in the swimming pool. We were unlucky enough to have a team of 16 ex army men?, aged between 30/45 who were an utter disgrace, and my only hope is that they go on their family holiday and meet up with some of what they dished out during ours. Cheers guys, you ruined a lot of well earned family holidays!
Although these idiots were not Thomas Cook clients, Thomas Cook must stop advertising these apartments as ‘family’ orientated and must stop sending clients with children to the Aquasol until this is resolved. If you have a family, do not take your children there!

I was very glad to see that the room was always clean and not a cockroach or ant in sight.
The location though a slight walk to the main strip is 5 seconds from the beach which is excellent for the day time.
The hotel staff in the aqualsol are very friendly and very helpful though I didnt get to spend alot of time at the hotel entertainment it was fine for what we had paid for.

When we first arrived in our room the door to the patio would not lock, within 10 mins of reporting it it was fixed, had a ground floor room right by the kids play area which was perfect as i have 2 kids, 3 & 6. The Thomas Cook reps were ok, the kids club reps were a laugh, but what made the holiday was the hotels own enternainers, Yvonne and Andy. They was brilliant, always smiling and playing with the kids.
The hotel had some really good shows on. This is our 2nd visit, on our first the food in the hotel was really bad, but this time we never had a single problem with it, we met up with a couple more families and had a good laugh.
We spent most of the 2 weeks in the pool playing water volleyball or water football, even got Andy to get in, had a good laugh throwing the reps in the pool which they had a laugh about too.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
We are looking at going back again next year but booking direct through the hotel, worked out prices and it will work out around £500 cheaper.

The hotel was kept very clean, cleaners often seen around about.
The pool area is lovely, loads of beds and not too noisy. There are also garden areas you can use.
We found the food to be really good for buffet style. There was a fair choice each day, we were always there early evening so don't know how it was later in the night. Staff again were very friendly.
The hotel is so close to the beach, it was great, a few shops and bars around about and more lively entertainment just a short walk away.
We weren't too keen on the entertainment at the hotel, loads of Stars In Their Eyes rejects I think. There was a junior disco though which our daughter loved.
We asked for a ground floor appartment since we had a buggy, but needen't have bothered, we still had an up and a down flight to contend with. There are loads of stairs in the complex.
All in all we had a great holiday here and will definitely return.

The reps were fab especially with kids, and were extremely friendly and helpful. The staff werent particuarly friendly which did seem a shame as the hotel was really nice. The pool was large and had plenty of sunbeds, and a pool bar serving food. The rooms were of a good quality however we did find ourselves constantly coughing and sneezing and only when we were in the room. We were disappointed with our view overlooking a road and a large villa overlooking us. The weather was very hot.

The hotel was extremely clean and our apartment was spacious and well situated with views of the Pool area.
I have been to Mallorca about 4 times and stayed at various hotels - howver this was by far the best in terms of accomodation, entertainment and staff. I usually choose self catering holidays as Mallorca in generally cheap and has some fantastic restaurants -howver this time we were on half board basis and i was slightly dubious - However the food was outstanding in both the morning and evening as there was a large choice.
This is a fantastic hotel and i would highly recommend it to anyone - espacially if you have children as my sister and the rest of the reps were all great!

Good location to night life. Hotel staff could have been friendly, entertainment was really good for the whole family. We were the ones stuck in the block at the road ,were the dog barked all night long ,that was only thing i can fault with the Aquasol.....

there was is fine.
The apartments are clean however they need to replace towels and bedding, as very worn and the towels had loads of holes.
Location I thought very good five min stroll to beach and bars. One block of apartments backs on to a fairly busy road(no mention of this in brochure)also cockroaches seem to live in that block.
Quite a lot of steps around complex which is fine if there are two of you to lift pushchairs up and down them.
Hotel entertainment was okay some nights better than others.
Never had any problems getting a sun lounger.
The reps made a point of walking round the pool talking to the guests.
I enjoyed it however the noisy block and cockroaches have put me of going back.
