| said: Excellent hotel with prime position between 2 beaches.
Staff very friendly, especially room cleaners. Food in restaurant is very good with a wide choice of salads and main dishes and sweets. Always a choice of 2 different soups. dining room staff very efficient and we never had to wait to be seated.
Nice little shop in foyer although the lilo's we bought from it kept going down, they willl re-inflate them free though, but that's a bit of a drag.
The rooms were very clean with fresh towels each day and sheets changes twice a week. Only gripes, the pillows were not very comfortable also the adjoining door let every noise from next door, even normal speech heard clearly. Pool sunbeds reserved early each morning which means unless you are prepared to queue very early, you do not stand a chance of getting one, even though it is against hotel rules. The most annoying thing about that is the fact that once they are covered with towels, a lot of them seem to be empty for long periods.

| said: This is a lovely hotel and is definitely at the top of the 3* rating. The location is excellent - right on the beach with stunning views from all of the higher rooms and nice places to walk either side.
The cleanliness could not be faulted, clean towels every day and clean sheets twice. I have given the food a slightly lower marking because I would have liked to see more prepared fresh fruit at breakfast, there was only ever melon and fruit salad.
The toaster is also a nightmare and you have to have extreme patience and really want toast!! Dinner is very good though - it's basic grub but well cooked and tasty and the salad choice is excellent.
The entertainment is typical of what you expect abroad - you're not going to get Peter Kaye! We did the bingo most nights then cleared off before the 'cabaret' but I'm told by other people in my group that the Irish Dancers were very good!

The dining room was clean well decorated and the food was very good though not always hot but when in Rome.......
The dining room staff were not so hot either, miserable wouldn`t leave you until you had paid for your drinks, and at breakfast it was very difficult to find aclean table for 2.
We didn`t stop in for the entertainment as it was repetitive each night.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, our room was serviced every day.The food was of very good quality with plenty of choice for breakfast as well as your evening meal. They even had tomato juice and fried bread which is quite rare for hotels these days.
We were on the seventh floor but with 3 lifts this did not present a problem with regard to getting down for meals etc. or retiring for the evening. Every room has a sea view and what stunning views they are!!!
I found the staff OK - some were extremely friendly whilst others were doing their job and it showed. There was entertainment on every night and it appeared to be quite varied but my wife and I preferred to explore the locality after dinner and only sat in for short periods.

Staff were a bit dour, apart from cleaning staff who always had a smile.
Food was on the whole acceptable, did not go hungry, and only ate out once for breakfast and evening meal.
Entertainment was pretty good from what I saw, mainly elderly guest in this hotel who tend to eat early and get themselves a seated in main lounge area early, so by the time we had eaten all seats taken, so had to settle for the smaller cocktail bar where the entertainment was just as good I would say.
Outdoor and indoor pool both freezing as was jacuzzi, which I found surprising. Would have to set your alarm for middle of night to get any chance of a sun lounger. Pool bar is very good for snacks and very reasonably priced.
Would not recommend this hotel for younger couples or families with young children, but would not hesitate to recommend to anyone over 50.

| said: We have just returned from the Santa Lucia Hotel having stayed there for 11 nights. Our bedroom even though quite small was spotlessly clean and was nicely carpeted. We had a fantastic view overlooking the pool and got the sun for most of the day. Our only gripe was that there was an interconnecting door through to the next bedroom. Unfortuately for us the man (I only presume it was a man) that was in the next bedroom was the loudest snorer that I've ever heard in my life. We had a word with reception but they weren't really interested. How-ever after 2 sleepless nights we had the idea of pushing a towel under the door and stuffing toilet paper all around it.Apparently 70%of the bedrooms have interconnecting doors.
The food was very good and very varied. There was even porridge on the breakfast buffet together with all the other various cereals and fruits, yogurts and of course the good old english fry-ups for anyone that wanted to have one.
The entertainment in the evenings was quite good, although as I like dancing I thought that they could have varied the dances a bit more. Every night they played the same dances and in the same order. There was just a short game of bingo followed by a cabaret which was of a good standard - not the usual parrot show type.
The staff were very friendly and helpful but I did feel that the reps were only interested in selling their trips.
All in all we enjoyed the holiday very much but at times I did feel like I was in a rest home and I'm in my mid sixties. The first few days were mostly people in their late seventies and eighties and many in wheelchairs. Perhaps they had just gone out for the Easter period because after a few days they went home and more people of our age moved in. In the winter months I wouldn't recommend it to younger people or people with small children.

We arrived at a time when another 150 guests arrived and the check in procedure was managed exceptionally well and our room was available.
The location of the hotel is excellent, being on a rocky outcrop between two very good beaches with a pedestrian walkway all the way around.
All staff had a welcoming smile and word and the maid was excellent in keeping the room clean and replenishing the towels daily.
A very good choice of food was available and was well presented at both breakfast and dinner.
A good entertainment programme with professional acts and ballroom, sequence, and line dancing along with nightly Bingo with a full house worth 200 euros ensured every one was well catered for.
Our room had a tremendous view and would not hesitate in recommending the hotel especially for couples.

When we arrived 3 other buses also arrived so took about an hour to check in. Recommend if you are 45 and below don’t go especially with kids as they have nought to do bar the pool. Average age of fellow guests must have been 75 years of age, and 85% couldn’t crack a smile.
Hotel was clean but we got room with adjoining door and we heard every noise possible from next door and some of it was unpleasant. Buy ear plugs and your ok.
Food was good, location of hotel excellent, staff after booking in very good. Entertainment average we had Abba tribute? looked like 2 blokes in drag, Robbie Williams tribute he was good, a David Blaine type magician (he was the best),and a juggler (average).
Bar prices bit more expensive that outside hotel, so your better topping up then come in for show.

The rooms where of a good size. They were cleaned daily and fresh towels every day. All cleaners, very pleasant. We had lovely views over the beach.
The resturant was great, very clean, the even reserved a table for all of us. There was a great selection of food for everyone at both breakfast and evening meal.
The hotel had 3 pools, a kiddies pool, adult pool both outside plus indoor pool with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
The entertainment wasn't great for kids or anyone under the age of 50.
Iwould not reccommend this hotel to anyone who has kids or under the age of 50.

The food was over cooked and tasteless, and the entertainment was nothing like what was there a couple of years ago.
Every thing else we could not fault the cleanliness and the staff were great.
I don't know why the food was like it because it was the same chef that as been there for years.

We were unfortunate to be allocated a room with a connecting door. On our second night, at the unearthly hour of 11 15pm, our next door neighbours banged on the door complaining about the "noise" from the TV!!
Maybe we were just unlucky with room allocation and neighbours, however this hotel was a disappointment after our excellent cruise.

The staff are friendly, polite and always helpful. The maids are fantastic as they clean your room every day and offer clean towels daily if needed. We are a couple in our 30's and recommend this for families, middle aged and the elderly. it is safe the beach is outside the hotel, a supermarker is across the road and entertainment is good too.
I'm off on Sunday for the 4th time and can't wait.
happy holidays everyone enkoy !!

| said: We stayed at the hotel during August.
We found the location of the hotel was brilliant, right in the centre of the resort, and on the beach.
The rooms are quite small, but adequate for what you need them for.
They were cleaned daily and fresh towels left.We had a lovely sea veiw,as I think do all the rooms.
The resturant was very well run, with no queues, even though it was peak season, breakfasts were very good.
The dinner most nights were lovely with choice of 2 soups, lots of salad choice,a roast, and 2 or 3 different dishes, the only thing that let the meals down in my opion was there wasn't much choice in potatoes, for instance there was roast beef, yorkies, veg and chips!!
Would have been nice to have some roast or mashed spuds with it, but this is just a minor gripe.
Lots of sweets, ice cream, fruit, and cheese and buscuits, so we came home a stone heavier!
The hotel has 3 bars,a pool bar,the main bar, and a cocktail bar open from 12 to 3am.
We found the waiters and the bar staff to be quite miserable, we have been places were the bar staff would make a fuss of kids and have a joke with guests, but not in this hotel, but having said this we found all the staff to be polite and helpful.
There was entertainment(darts, skittles, ect) during the day if you wanted to join in. The evening entertainment wasn't brilliant, the best act that we saw was the magic act, and the knife throwing act was very good, the rest of the acts were singers and mainly aimed towards the older guests that are in the majority.
There are plenty of bars on your doorstep so there is no need to stay in the hotel during the evening.
The hotel has 2 pools, an indoor one with a lovely jacuzzi, and the outdoor one with a nice kids section, the pools are lovely and clean.
The doors to the pool area are kept locked until 8am every day, if you want a sun bed you have to form a queue at about 7.45am otherwise you dont get a look in.
You could guarantee that the people at the front of the queue were the seniors, we were gob smacked when the pool doors opened and they sprinted towards the sunbeds throwing their towels on as if they were frisbies,no word of a lie!!
We would definitely return to this hotel, as we came home feeling relaxed.

| said: We went to this hotel last October after a Thomson Cruise and found it to be really great. So this year booked a late deal as we needed VFM.
The cleanliness of rooms, hotel etc is excellent. The location is the best in Palma Nova without a doubt.
The reception staff friendly and helpful. Sonia and Erwin keep you and the kids occupied round the pool in the days with the games which my 13 year old son loved.
All in all a fantastic hotel. Only a couple of gripes.
1. The hotel is in the process of changing from Acorn to Globales, and we did notice a change in the food more so from a choice point of view, from last year. Also could have cleared tables a little quicker. We have been assured the changes will not affect the hotel in any way. They were doing some painting in reception when we stayed but did not disrupt too much and we have to remember this hotel is open all year round.
2. The hotel reps are only interested in you if you want to book tours/trips. Any other moans and groans and they don't want to know. Very poor indeed.
3. The hotel entertainment is awful. We did watch them all week and the Elvis chappy was the best and funniest night. Baileys and Ice not too bad. Rest of acts poor. With the size of the entertainment lounge it is a waste I think. After the show ends which is approx 11 pm the room empties. The new owners hopefully may do something about this, as it seems a real shame.
It was a good hotel for us with a teenager (14) as we had a really great karaoke/show bar down the road called the stadium which had great tribute bands, a must to see is the Westlife boys. Also do happy hour in there. And for a change you can easily walk into Magaluf.
All things considered the good points far outway the bad and we will definitely be visiting the Santa Lucia again, hopefully later this year.
For cheaper last deals to this hotel book on late deals.com it is still part of Thomson which is the only tour operator that caters for this hotel.
PS. If you are going peak season make sure you are up by 8am if you want a sunbed round the pool!

Went on Pirates adventure highly recommended.
The view we had from room was absolutely stunning the comfort of the rooms were good you could hire a fridge for the duration of your holiday also safety deposit boxes.
The Restaurant food could of been better with more variety e.g 1st week Sunday roast was beef 2 veg roast potatoes (ok) 2nd week roast pork 2 veg and only CHIPS. With it being the height of the season they were a bit slow on clearing tables breakfast was the same every morning which got a bit much . In my opinion the food side of things need changing if they get this right they have a perfect hotel.
It looks like they are updating the hotel, If the food improves without any hesitation I would go back.

Location speaks for itself - unbeatable. Staff helpful but did need a nudge after one minor problem reported several times from the Reps, when they sprang into action ! Choice of entertainment in Cocktail bar til 2am now but Lounge entertainment still stuck in 1970's with Ole Bingo everynight - hello 2006.
Pool will always be a problem if you want sunbeds but overall the peace and quiet, cleanliness and pleasant staff in a great location is well advised for all thinking of going or who remembered it a few years back as in need of some TLC.

We were checked in quickly and efficiently. The hotel is very nice but did cater for the more older person.
Entertainment was non existent if you were under 45 and if you had children then it was a definite no no.
The pool area was too small for the size of the hotel. We were there 7 days and could never get a sunbed they were occupied by the same people every day, i feel something should be done about this, as i dont want to get up at 7 every morning and queue for beds!!!!
Food in the hotel was excellent and the times allocated for eating were perfect, one thing though is you have to pay for water with your evening meal!!! this I think is a joke !!!!!!
Location was excellent you couldn't get a better position the beach was lovely and the hotel was very quiet so you could get sleep (most were in bed by 11 ).
All in all we had a great holiday and yes I would visit this hotel again in about 20 years time !!!!

| said: Santa Lucia is a lovely hotel, set on the beach front.. all rooms have sea views and are very spacious, clean and very comfortable.
Towels changed daily and beds changed once per week.
Food served buffet style for breakfast and dinner- plenty of choice for kids and adults. even vegetarians. Main meal choice each night.. fantastic, normally have to eat salad and chips!!!
My only complaint that tables weren't cleared fast enough as had to wait for a table for six in the mornings and evenings.. tried going early for meals and later just the same regardless.. they definately need more waiter staff!! especially for the high season.
All hotel staff very friendly and happy to please.
Shop in lobby fab for bits and boobs very reasonable especially for postcards and stamps if you buy them from him. He will post them for you.. very quick service only took four days instead of usual 2 weeks!!
Would definately go back maybe later in the year when the weather is a bit better unfortunately January isn't a very good month rain and lots of the shops, bars are closed until march/april time.
Entertainment catered for older clients - tea dances, bingo etc..
My main complaint if you are travelling in a group of four or more - My In laws were put in a room with an interconnecting door further along the corridor not a very good idea as they could hear everything from the room next door wouldn't have been so bad if they know who was in there!! .. we were split up as a family, hubby across landing with older child and me with the younger one ( we were given two end corridor rooms).. very bad planning on hotels part as the holiday was booked together as one party of six!!!

I thought the food was really nice but there could have been a bit more variety, but still it was really nice and a high quality. The waiters were there for you all the time and again I couldn't doubt them. If I was stuck they would help me.
The cleanliness was excellent every time we came back from breakfast it was already tidy or if not it was definitely done by lunch time.
I have already mentioned the waiters but the staff were really of a top quality, they always kept you in form with what was going on in and around the hotel. They have a brilliant little tuck shop with all the things you want for fun. The staff behind the bar were really fun to talk to and they would joke about with me. The manager of the hotel was really helpful, and if you have a problem then speak to him and he sorted it straight away.
The entertainment was good, they had a wide range of entertainment ranging from live brilliant singers to really fun family games. In the day they had activities for the adults or kids. these were brilliant as you made great friends and you could win prizes.
The rep was really helpful.
I can't wait to go back.

| said: Have to say the hotel is the cleanest I have ever stayed in, and location is second to none.
The only downside is the pool is way too small for high season, it is only a matter of time before there is fist-i-cuffs in the race to get the towels down in a morning. The reps are a little "text-book" and not very proactive either should you have an issue, very good at passing the buck.
The restaurant gets very crowded and the staff struggle to cope, most nights in the second week we struggled to get a table that was set and had to stand next to a table waiting whilst staff cleared it off and re-set it.
The entertainment was ok, but nothing to write home about, very repetitive really.
The great thing about the Santa Lucia is that there is barely any noise and if you do want the noise and nightlife all you have to do is walk 10 minutes to Magaluf.
All in all a good holiday - but not a hotel for high season.

Food was good but repetitive. There were a couple of main meals we couldn't eat but filled up on salads.

The hotel and surrounding areas were beautiful in a wonderful location. We were on the 5 floor on the mountain side which meant we had the sun in the evening to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset.
The hotel rooms were excellent. With little or no noise in the nights, and the room attendants were superb
The buffet style eating arrangements worked well with the breakfasts excellent with good choice. However the evening meals were disappointing ,some of the cooking left a lot to be desired. A lot of the meats were underdone and tough, and the attempt at Yorkshire pudding left many ladies from the u.k dying to give the cook lessons!!! Some of the desserts looked a mess however there was always the salads and ice cream to get them out of trouble.
Entertainment was weak. The best night being the kareoke with good standard of singing. The entertainment rep worked very hard during the day and a lot of people took part in the games which suited all ages.
The pool area was good with no queuing for loungers and the indoor spar was ideal ... could have been warmer!
At this time of the year there were a lot of golden oldies in the hotel which suited us ... plenty to talk to! And to watch the dancing! So with the wonderful setting and good hotel staff it proved to be a lovely holiday

The rooms and hallway are all carpeted and this is a big plus as far as noise goes-thought 12 euros for a tea tray was a bit dear but that is our only gripe otherwise this hotel was great and will definately go back.

| said: The hotel is in a superb location with all bedrooms overlooking the beach/sea. The rooms were nicely decorated and carpeted and the maid service was every day. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything that was said in the next room but there wasn't a lot of traffic noise so got a really good nights sleep.
All the public areas were clean and the staff were very helpful.
The food was buffet service with a different home made soup every night, salads, fish, meats, veg, chips, potatoes although it was geared to British tastes (they even did bread & butter pudding which was absolutely gorgeous).
I would imagine the outside pool area gets very crowed in high season but this wasn't a problem in April. The indoor pool, Jacuzzi and steam room were lovely on the cloudy days but not very relaxing for the oldies due to the amount of kids playing ball (ours included!).
Didn't see much of the hotel entertainment because it was always difficult to get a seat because it was so busy but from what we saw this was geared towards the over 60's, as I think a lot of hotels in Palma Nova/Magaluf are at this time of year. Drinks in the hotel bar were reasonably priced and the cocktails were delicious (5 euros).

The food was excellent and the room was very clean.
Not sure I would want to stay there at high season as there was always a queue for dinner and the staff seemed harassed then!
Great location and within easy walking distances of bars & shops.
Would definitely go back to both hotel and resort.

Meals are excellent, good quality and plenty of choice. The staff are exceptionaly friendly, quite the best we have ever encountered in a Spanish hotel.
The entertainment is geared to the senior set,who all seemed to be enjoying themselves in great numbers. But being a bit younger(42/43)we tended to go out to the livelier bars/discos 15 minutes away in Magaluf.
This must be the best three star hotel we have stayed in, and we had an incredible bargain, booking it as accomodation only on Thomson's website. Four nights half board for two was just £80!

Great location, excellent view over the bay, no stairs to climb everywhere ground level. This hotel is good for anyone who has mobility problems.
Was out every day so didn’t see much of the entertainment, there were mostly well over sixties staying at the hotel. So the entertainment was geared for them.
I would go back in the summer months

| said: We went to this hotel on an allocation on arrival basis and were very pleasantly suprised. Hotel very clean, we found the staff very friendly, the room cleaning staff even friendlier and very good at their jobs.
The food was also very good. Good choice of hot and cold food for both breakfast and dinner, but must say I didn't like the sausages they served for breakfast, but hey you can't please all the people all the time!
My one little gripe is the plastic mattress protector. I have come across these in other hotels and always find them uncomfortable. I suppose the trick is to take them off at night and to put them back on before room service arrives!
Cannot comment on the entertainment as we went out everyday but the bar was always packed so it can't have been that bad!
Did have a couple of cocktails in the cocktail lounge - very nice!! The prices of drinks are not as expensive as you would imagine either, a bottle of house red with dinner was only 5:50 euros and it was very palatable. Much cheaper than the 8 or 9 pounds you would pay here for a house wine.
If you go on any excursions can we recommend the Secrets of Mallorca trip, in a people carrier with very friendly informative drivers (ours was Sophie)and a 3 course (very enjoyable)meal included.
All in all a really good holiday and we will certainly be looking to go to the Santa Lucia again.

| said: A late deal, allocated on arrival. Fully satisfied with all aspects of the hotel and would have been just as happy if I'd paid the full price.
This is the best 3* hotel I've stayed in. There was a good choice of good quality food. Every night there was soup that could have been home-made rather than the usual powdered, tasteless dishwater.
Good cold buffets each meal, with a good selection of hot dishes and supporting vegetables. A good choice of sweets, including the likes of apple pie and custard - the best custard in Spain??
Our room was fully carpeted and a very good size. We were on the shady side with a great sea view. There was plenty of room on the sun terraces when you wanted to sit in the sun. The maid service was exceptional - not unlike being on a cruise with an allocated person.
Whilst we were out of season, all facilities were available. The entertainment was OK to pass away an evening but seemed to satisfy the bulk of clients. Bar prices were quite reasonable by hotel standards.
I will happily return to this hotel and can see why Thomson sell it as a 4T rather than 3T.

| said: Visited the Santa Lucia for 1 week with 2 friends and we had a very enjoyable time here. It rained on the first day but was pleasant sunshine the rest of the time.
We could not fault the rooms for cleanliness.. the maids do a great job. As the hotel had been re-furbished early 2004 everywhere seemed quite new, just a pity they hadn't varnished the doors in the bedrooms as you could see they were older with marks but this is a minor moan and did not really spoil what was otherwise a good holiday considering what we paid. We did not bother hiring the fridge as it was December but would have wanted it in the Summer time. I personally prefer a mini bar which is only charged for if you use it and you can always squeeze in your own drinks after the maid has done her rounds!!
One downside to the room for our friends who were on a different floor as they had checked in before us was, that as stated in previous reports every noise from the next room could be heard..in fact my friend thought that someone was actually in her room as she heard voices and noticed the bathroom light was on but, no panic, her husband had paid a visit to the loo and left the light on!! We,on the other hand, were not affected as we had an end room which seemed to have a locked cupboard between us and the next room so we never heard a sound at nights. Corridors are all carpeted with what looks like a very high quality carpet.
The beds were very comfortable and towels changed every day plus sheets changed once in the week we were there.Tea/coffee making facilities can be hired at reception plus safe which is in the wardrobe which we did hire as we always do. Better safe than sorry.
Take your own hair dryer even although there is one in the bathroom which is just like a hoover tube and takes ages to dry your hair..forget style.. just dry/wax/and go.
Food was plentiful but sometimes the restaurant was very busy..the toaster is a nightmare taking ages to brown and when other people plonk their bread in while you are using this, it can become very confusing as to which piece is yours...problem can be solved by taking a bite out of your bread first!!
The staff in the restaurant are very slow in removing empty plates but we removed them onto their sideboard servers to save them any bother. There were a lot of dropped dishes and breakages not by us I hasten to add but by the waitresses who seemed to dive about very quickly which gave the impression of being busy. I understand from another holidaymaker that their wages are docked for breakages.Anyway we ate there every night and did not feel the need to eat out elsewhere. The only thing I disliked was the coffee it was vile...the same as the stuff from the bars.
Entertainment was geared to the older customer with tea dances in the afternoon with the usual flamenco type/magic shows which we only viewed at the door. We enjoyed the singer I think he was called Don Monroe who passed a few hours in the cocktail bar.Apart from that we only went out at night a couple of times as there were few places open at this time.
The location right on the beach couldn't be better, some shops open across the road and more further up towards the centre. We found a great place for coffee near the zebra crossing going towards the centre I think it was called Maria & Michelles or something like that they also sold a cracking glass of white wine which I must day I'm partial to.
The lifts are a bit small and we managed to set the alarm off a couple of times...must be all that food we ate!!
If you are a returning customer you get a free gift of sweets/potpourie left on your bed as our friends got this and that is the only reason we can think of as we were asked when we checked in if this was our first visit.
So we are intending going back soon as we really did enjoy our visit and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Unusual for us to eat every meal at the hotel but with the food on offer could not resist the fare.
Beaches very clean, night life varied between shopping (wife) or bar hopping (me).
Will be going back again next year but to Magaluf as it is a bit cheaper but hopefully just as entertaining.
Would recommend Pirates, Sonamar and Secrets of Mallorca all worth a go. We may be in our fifties but we enjoy a good night out-no trouble anywhere to be seen.
Just watch out for the street scratch card people, can be an expensive few minutes of your time!

As stated in other reports the entertainment on some nights was terrible but at least they tried! Buffet style food was very good particularly the cold buffet and sweets. The only downside of the hotel was that our room had an ajoining door to the room next door. There was a lack of privacy as we could hear every sound the people in the next room were making but we got round this by putting the TV on. As the hotel has been recently refurbished I think they should have addressed this problem but otherwise the room was great.

| said: The best holiday I have ever had!
The hotel is as clean as it could possibly get, everything feels brand new. The breakfasts were absolutely gorgeous as were the evening meals with plenty on offer at the buffet style serving hatches.
The waitress service could be very slightly better though, tables weren't emptied as quickly as I would have liked but they were never left untidy for the next course but this is only a very minor quibble and certainly didn't spoil the meal times!
The 3 lifts to the upper floors are quite small, fitting about 5/6 people in them and could do with air con in them as it gets quite warm and claustrophobic inside them when they stop at every floor.
Apart from the 2 small quibbles above, the hotel is perfect!
The rooms are excellent, very clean and have fantastic views of the sea. They all have air con and patio doors with a table and chairs on the balcony. One evening, I actually had to switch the air con OFF and sit on the balcony at 4am to warm up it worked that well! I didn't realise there was a thermostat for it D'oh!
The entertainment was good as far as I could see but wasn't for me.. I prefer the bars outside.
All in all: its in a fantastic position, has brilliant food and the cleanliness is second to none!

The hotel is spotlessly clean and has recently been refurbished. The food was varied and would suit most tastes. The only down side was the pool was small and crowded, but most people use the beach as it is right outside. The area is peaceful at night with a few bars in close proximity for the less mobile. Magaluf is about 20 minutes away, and once familiar with area it is possible to walk there without meeting any hills. Entertainment as stated in other reports was poor in evenings ,but having said that there are other hotels in area offering similar acts if you are looking for something different.

Location and view more than excellant.
The pool area was very small with limited sun beds. Think 75% guests never used one unless they were prepared to Q from 7.30am. Most disappointing part of the holiday.
MOst hotel staff were friendly and helpfull-always a good greeting in the dinning hall. Rooms clean and serviced well. Air conditioning good. Hotel generally clean.
Entertainment very basic- redundent Benidorm club comics or ex Butlins 1970 red coats.

The staff at the hotel, were friendly, but could do better in the resturaunt area. A smiling face from a waitress at breakfast would be nice !!, but you rarely got !!!. We stayed at the Santa Lucia, for 7 days and enjoyed our stay very much. The resort is great for couples and familys, and if you like to party, there are lots of bars, just up the road in Magaluf. The food was good, but entertainment ive seen better. The swimming pool, and area is nice. There is a steam and sauna room at this hotel, which for some reason was only working a couple of times during our stay. The people staying at the santa lucia, tend to be more mature in there 50s and 60s, but there are familys as well !!. But you do tend to be out numbered by the pensioners. This was nice as it made for a more relaxed holiday for us, This hotel is not for the all night party animals !!!. If your looking for a quality hotel, with good food and the best location, which has to be described as Fantastic. Then the Santa Lucia is for you !. We would love to go back again, and will stay at the Santa Lucia, if staying at Palma Nova.

| said: My Mum and I visited the hotel in April 2004 for the first time and we were extremely pleased with our holiday.
We had a lovely room on the 6th floor overlooking the sea which was lovely to wake up to every morning.
The food was lovely and we never disliked the menu but here is a tip - we found that we spent a lot of money on lunch time snacks from the hotel and so during our second week we found that it was a lot cheaper to go and buy a couple of rolls, some meat and cheese from the mini supermarket across the road and make our own sandwiches on our balcony.
The hotels location is lovely and we could not have asked to be closer to the beach infact the hotel is about a metre away from being on the beach.
Some people have said that they found the staff unfriendly but we certainly did not have this trouble, the staff were very kind and extremely helpful - yes there were slightly slow at clearing up plates etc but the dining room is quite large and so we did not find this a major problem (infact the staff always looked ready to sleep because of working so hard!)
We found the entertainment wonderful yes ok on some nights it wasn’t quite as good as maybe the previous night but we were always ensured a laugh.
We did infact book to go back to the Santa Lucia again yesterday and we can’t wait to get back there!

Breakfast: Cooked breakfast was not very good - the usual Spanish effort at an English breakfast. Apart from this there was plenty of variety. The biggest complaint is that the tables are not cleaned properly ready for the next customers. And when asked, the waiting staff are not keen to help - don't expect any smiles... that is until the evening when they make half an effort in the hope of a tip! The waiting staff left us feeling they only cared about potential tips. The evening meals were generally very good.
room: We were pleased with the room. Clean, and quite spacious with excellent balcony/view.
Excursions: Go on Son Amar it was excellent. But do not go with Thomson. Thomson price for luxury tickets: 100 euros. Ticket office 50 yards down the road: 59 euros. We did this and had exactly the same seats/menu as Thomson trip with excellent Spanish organisation.
Kids & parents: Pain in the arse. The kids scream & shout all day long. The parents are worse as they make no effort in controlling their monsters, and in doing so show a total lack of respect for other guests. There should be a swimming pool just for adults - basically couples can expect a holiday without a pool.
Entertainment: average. Tend to cater either for the kids or for the older generation. I am 29, and I felt none of the entertainment was geared towards my age range.
In conclusion. Nice hotel. Need improved breakfast and staff friendliness. Only go to this hotel if you don't mind the family noise of most public area. Don't get me wrong, I like kids and plan on having some myself. But I will certainly ensure they respect other peoples rights to have a peaceful relaxing holiday. The hotel should definately have kid free zones, otherwise Thomson should not send couples there.

| said: When I read comments about the food being very poor, I thought - what do they want? I have been there 2 years ago and it was perfect. Having just come back from there on the first week in July, I can understand why. Like before, everyone that you spoke to had been several times before. But this time everybody had been before but was complaining about the food. It used to say FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST, the sausage made me want to be sick as soon as I tasted it, the bacon is like you see in other Spanish hotels. It should now say English-ISH breakfasts Usually the food is luke warm, if you were lucky. The Thomson rep verged on sarcasm when I commented about it, saying if I had complained at the beginning of the holiday, she could have done something about it. (Yeh right) Like what? She was not very polite at all I will not be going again

| said: we arrived back from this hotel on the 5th of july and had a brillant 11 days. the rooms were small, basic and very clean. our room was on the "dark side" but it didnt affect us at all the view was still nice.the maids were in the rooms cleaning them every morning without fail. the food was superb and we never had one meal that we didnt enjoy. the staff were nice and the reps were very friendly. the entertainment was o.k but slightly disapointing. all in all it was a good holiday and i would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone

| said: I've been to the Santa Lucia overall about 6 times, my family love it!
The people who work there are lovely, we got on with everyone! they were so nice!
The maids always did there best to ensure are room was clean and tidy for us, which we appreciated.
The people who worked on reception were lovely as were all the waiters and waitresses!
The food was ok, but maybe does need cooking a bit longer, Us english do like well cooked food!
We missed last year going to the Santa Lucia, that would have made it 7 times in a row we'd been but as I had exams we wern't able to go, however, were visiting again this August which we're all looking forward to!
Can't wait to see all the staff again!!!!

The hotel was well placed for everything and rooms clean and tidy, although a bit small but serviced every day.
The food was plentiful but was bland and sometimes tasteless including the soup!
The waitress service was poor and slow with the tables not being cleared after you finished your course also the table cloths not being changed after the table had been used something you would expect from a 3/4 stare hotel.
We booked through a last minuet firm only paying £320 each but it should have been around £600 if I had paid full price I would hve been disapointed with the hotel.
If these thing could be improve the hotel would be fine with its location and cleaness.

| said: This in my view is the best hotel you will find in the area.
Entertainment, yes is poor. Late bar is nice.
Food is spot on. The chef's trained in the uk.
Staff very good.
Lady Di's bar close for a good night out. Piano bar in Magaluf is brill. Ask the hotel to get you a taxi, the taxi rank is just outside the bar.
UK beers. Brill staff.
Try and book your trips not with the reps. Turn left outside the hotel first money change place you come to on the right (owner Bridget is her name) all your trips from there. I know all of this place.
Enjoy your holidays.

| said: This hotel is not only on the beach, its surrounded by it, fabulous setting, staff exceptional, food excellent, like one of the other guests, our room was on the 'wrong' side, and didnt get much of the sun, but there again, who wants to stay in their room to sunbathe when youve got beaches like that either side of the hotel?. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anybody
