| said: This Hotel and it's staff were all brilliant. We had no rep as we travelled indepentally, but the reception staff were all great, answered any queries we had ie re buses etc.
Yes there was some street noise, from dustbin men etc but not every day, and certainly did not spoil our enjoyment of the Hotel.
In my mind some people pay three star prices but expect Five star services.
Yes some times entertainment was not brilliant of a night but you could always walk to local bars with some very good entertainment.
I would definetly go back to this Hotel and recommend it to others.

| said: We arrived early hours of the morning having been delayed at Manchester airport. Reception staff were very helpful and i was impressed that they opened the restaurant to enable us to get drinks/food etc.
The rooms were quite small/basic but hey who stays in their room anyway. Cannot fault the cleanliness of the hotel. The maids came every day. We are not early risers so the most mornings the maids were unable to get in our room however, they always came back after we had gone out and left clean fresh towels each day.
The food was disappointing really and the wasn't much selection. Two of our children don't eat red meat so they weren't really catered for. Most hotels we have visited have always had a wide selection so there have always been something for everyone.
The stsff were nice and friendly but the hotel was seriously lacking entertainment. There was no animation team during the day and the evening entertainment was great if you were 60yr old and in a B&B at Blackpool. Last orders were at 11.45pm, which was fine but at 12 on the dot they wanted you out of the bar so they could lock up and go home. Once the bar was shut there was nowhere to go so most people ended up hanging around Reception area on the sofas or congregating outside the hotel steps.
The location of the hotel was fantastic, just a couple of minutes from the centre and all the shops & beach. The beach was great because there was a constant breeze that you didn't get around the pool.
Would i visit this hotel again?....... No.

| said: Firstly - sorry it's a long review but after the recent, unjustified reviews, we want to set the record straight.....
My husband and I and our two daughters have just arrived back from the Clumba Mar and had a great time. After seeing the bad reviews we were a bit concerned but all I can say is, if you've booked and are also worried - don't be, the hotel is immaculate, the food good, staff lovely, pools great with loads of space and the location is perfect (about 50 yards from the shops and 200 yards to the gorgeous beach)...... and THERE IS NO BUG (the ONLY people we met who'd been ill were children who'd brought a bug with them from their nursery - and you'd get this anywhere hense, it's hardly the hotels fault!!).
Previous reviews have suggested that the re-use of the plastic glasses was causing a bug at the Clumba Mar yet, we know from first hand experience, that ALL the glasses were washed in dishwashers at this hotel (which is why most were still hot to the touch when put on the shelves ready for use !!) and this eliminates bacteria. The people who complained (on previous reviews) about having to use plastic glasses instead of real glasses should maybe read up on Spanish law before moaning as they would then know that real glasses are NOT permitted in any pool areas or surrounding pool bar/cafe areas in Spain for obvious safety reasons. In any case, 'real' glasses would be washed in exactly the same way as the plastic ones! ALL the 4* hotels we've been to have ALSO used plastic glasses in these areas so believe me, it's NOT just at the Clumba Mar. The Clumba Mar has wine glasses in the main restaurant so if you're 'that' fussy, you could always pour your Pepsi or beer into one of these during dinner.
ALL the staff showed the utmost cleanliness at this hotel and the pool/bar/restaurant areas remained immaculate at all times. Not only this but the NON-SMOKING environment made a welcome change and was lovely for us and our children.
Breakfast = Full English + Continential. The sausages and eggs were first class. NEVER did we find a hard egg yolk - even with the 'dippy eggs'.
Lunch = Buffet style in the smaller of the 2 hotel restaurants OR choice of snacks at the Caracus bar by the bigger pools. Buffet = Salads, Veg, Meats, Fish, Chips, Various Fruit, Cakes. Caracus Bar = Nachos with salsa & melted cheese, choice of sandwiches, hot-dog, chips.... ALL snacks are made fresh to order at the Caracus bar and the bar itself is air-conditioned, even though it is next to the swimming pool. Like the main hotel areas, this was very clean.
Dinner = Probably not as much choice as some 4* hotels we've been to but that said, still more than enough and very good quality (far better than we expected for a 3* hotel!). Dishes included fresh prawns, sword fish, salmon, paella, steak, lamb cutlets, mussels in a tomato/herb sauce, veal, pork, chicken pieces (inc. loads of breast pieces!), steak caserole, lasagne..... There was also the usual soup with mini french sticks, chips, potatoes, gravy, vegetables and a large selection of salads/pasta/rice/cheeses/ham.... There was also a childrens' selection in the corner. The deserts were great - gateaux, various cakes, creme caramel, jelly, custards, fresh fruit, cream and 4 flavous of icecream.
Ice cream is also available in little tubs during the day at both the Caracus and main hotel bars.
Drinks = Beer and soft drinks all self-serve. Spirits ARE NOT watered down at the Clumba Mar unlike at the local nigh clubs!! We tasted both and belive me, the Clumba Mar measures hit the spot far quicker than the drinks purchased elsewhere! NB: if you don't like the fizzy drinks or strong squash-type juices, just ask the bar for fresh juice and you'll get it (i.e the equivalent to Tropicana etc).
We normally book 4* hotels and to be honest, the ONLY difference we found between our usual hotels and the Clumba Mar is that at the Clumba Mar we had no hair-dryer or TV. We didn't miss these things at all and were very pleased with our room which had ample space and a lovely view. When we reported that the guard on our daughter's bed was a bit wobbly, it was fixed immediately. We didn't have to ask for extra pillows as there was already 2 per person and the AIR CONDITIONING WAS GREAT IN OUR ROOM AND THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE HOTEL!
Some guests reported that money/items were stolen from their rooms which we find hard to believe as we travelled with another family and we ALL left an assortment of electrical gadgets, watches and jewellery around and NONE were taken. We did however, do the sensible thing and hire a safe (approx 30E) for our documents, cards, money etc and let's face it, if you don't want to get anything stolen, don't leave it lying around in the first place!
The balcony doors gave very good sound proofing to our room and to be honest, the ONLY noise we heard during the night was the occasional moped as in Spain, they don't have noise restrictions on these vehicles. The walkways in the hotel are carpeted so you don't even get noise from guests' shoes!
OVERALL A GREAT FAMILY HOLIDAY AND WE'D NOT HESITATE TO BOOK AGAIN. WE'RE USED TO LARGE HOTELS AND THIS WAS LOVELY BY COMPARISON AS IT WAS FAR MORE FRIENDLY BOTH IN THE BARS AND AROUND THE POOLS. IT WAS LOVELY TO BE ABLE TO WALK AROUND THE POOL AREAS WITHOUT TRIPPING OVER ROWS AND ROWS OF SUN-BEDS AND EVEN MORE OF A LUXURY TO FIND THAT YOU COULD STILL GET A SUNBED AT 10AM AT THE END OF JULY!

| said: We have just returned from the Clumba Mar, June 08'.The hotel is a good as ever.We were scared due to bad reviews prior to the holiday.
But on arrival, the lovely Pedro was as professional as ever, he told us about the bug which the whole resort had suffered. The rooms were spotless and the food was as expected for this standard hotel.
Both pools very clean and well kept. The plastic glasses were not a problem, if you prefer a glass then pay for a 4X Hotel. We did not have any problems with a bug as reported in various reviews, but Im not saying that some people do not have problems when abroad generally .Good value holiday in a fantastically located Hotel with good staff and all of the 3X attributes one can expect. In general it is disapointing to read reviews written by folks who expect 5X luxuary when paying for a 3X Hotel. We are already looking forward to enjoying the Clumba Mar hospitality in 09.
The one thing I do agree with is that Thomson and the rep is and are a waste of space. No resort information "as Ive just arrived".
Book independantly both flights and accomadation as the reps one purpose is to flog trips which can be booked in the resort at a saving of 50% compared to the Thomson price ie Pirates adventure trip was "full" when speaking to the rep yet we booked the trip in the resort for 40 Euros per person cheaper on the night we wished to see the show.

| said: There is a vicious sickness bug at the Clumba Mar its been around for several weeks and yet Thomsons are still sending people there. Only go if you want to be ill for your holiday. Approximately a third of the guests while we were there caught it including me. It was still going strong as we were leaving some one threw up all over the floor outside the dining room. Hotel appeared clean but given the extent of the sickness bug they must have been doing something wrong.
Room - Basic but cleaned every day, about the only good point. No TV.
Food appalling - lukewarm if you were lucky but cold by the time you sat down. Appeared to be mainly deep fried frozen. Snacks at bar over road disgusting chicken or tuna sandwich was in fact just paste sandwiches. No Kids Club at all. So loads of screaming kids all day around pool. No entertainment staff.Just half hour mini disco in the evening for kids.
Drinks - Plastic glasses not very clean. You are not allowed to have a bottle of water, only a glass of water not good when a bug is rampaging throughout to have to share bottles of water with everyone else. One night we took a bottle of water to our table and the waiter took it away saying we weren't allowed a bottle only glasses.
Thomson Rep - No rep on coach from airport. Resort rep a joke he didn't tell us about welcome meeting and didn't seem to care about guests when we raised our concerns with him, he was only interested in himself telling us how he'd given up a 35k a year job to be there.
To sum up the worst holiday I've ever had Hotel Clumba Mar DO NOT GO THERE

| said: Just returned 8th June 2008. Although the hotel was very clean, the food and drinks were disgraceful, same old bland (chicken, veal, fish in breadcrumbs) food each day and drinks watered down or cheap local stuff. I am told that this is due to the hotel going all inclusive in 2006.
We arrived at 11.00 o’clock at night to be informed by one of the guest that there was a 24 hour bug going around the hotel. Our party include two elderly couples in their 70/80’s who would being holidaying abroad for what would probably be their final time, all had current illnesses including recovering cancer and heart condition & all despaired at the thought of getting the bug. Within 48 hours, 4 of our party had contracted the bug and were left in the room for the day with this D & V, very severe and very unpleasant. The annoying thing is why hadn’t the hotel contacted people and informed them that they had a problem, instead we were told that it was a bug was on the island by the hotel receptionists although other holiday makers proved that this was not the case. Local bar owners stated that they are receiving complaints daily and that they are concerned that it is affecting their business.
Everyone in that hotel felt the same, they may not inform you as I am but some was envious that we were going home and that speaks volumes.
Try elsewhere

| said: I am just back and yes there is sickness at the hotel but I believe there is sickness on many parts of the Island. Hotel staff are very friendly. Cleanliness is very high. Location two minutes from beach. C'an Picafort is generally very quiet at the moment. Evening entertainment is ok. Kids club fine if you have young ones. Bingo is played most evenings. Neil Diamond entertains one night and Elvis Presely another. The local bar is suffering because the hotel has gone all inclusive. Its a friendly local bar and the wine tastes better in there. The hotel serves all the drinks in plastic cups which is not very nice except in the restaurant in the evening you can have a wine glass.
A lot of people piled their plates high with food and I think over indulged!! My husband ate everything and was absolutely fine.
The only reason I would not go again is because I like to try different places. You should not have paid too much to go this hotel and you get what you pay for.
Overall a good holiday.

| said: We have stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was excellent therefore did not hesitate when booking again.
We took with us 2 teenage girls and a 4 year old girl. As soon as we got to the hotel we were told by guests about the bug which everyone seemed to have. And 4 of us ended up having it. We were sick on the hotel room floor, the bug was so bad we were stuck in our rooms all day (only lasted 24 hours). We were not allowed to bring water up to rooms from the hotel, we had to buy bottled water.
The food was very boring and repetative. The lunchtime was lots of leftovers from previous days and the evening meals always seemed the same stodge.
The entertainment was the thing we were so dissapointed about. There were reps on our last visit which made the holiday lively in the day as well as night but these have been stopped. The night time entertainment was half hour mini disco plus 1 hour entertainment usually bingo or if your lucky an act. We were so dissapointed, the girls were bored too. When midnight arrived it seemed like the staff were desperate to get you out of the bar and turn off the lights.
The rooms were clean and cleaned every day, fresh linen and towels. The resort itself very nice but rather quiet at this time of year
Overall, I think the entertainment let this hotel down big time.

The rooms are cleaned every day with clean towels. the only let down for us but will be a blessing to other people was that it is no smoking anywhere so you have to go outside but its no great hardship as us smokers should be used to it by now.

Throughout our stay, we found the hotel to be very clean, the staff helpful, and the rooms basic but fine.
The entertainment at night needed improving. It didn't seem to be very structured. That would be the only thing that let the hotel down.
We were able to buy daily newspapers from the reception. Outside of the normal mealtimes, we were able to get snacks from Caracus bar across the road (part of the same hotel chain) where we used the same all inclusive card to purchase snacks/drinks/etc.
The meals were good, offering a fairly good selection of food. This was our first time going all inclusive and would definitely recommend it.
The hotel is located close to the beach as well as the usual shops/restaurants/bars/etc.
The hotel's walls were very thin, meaning you could hear noise from other guests.
Overall we would very much recommend the hotel and would definitely go back!

No visit to Clumba Mar is right unless you visit Wotsits place which is right across the road from the hotel.

The other problem is the drinks whether you are drinking inside or outside your drink is served in a manky plastic beaker, a glass would be nice if you are drinking inside. Cant fault the staff
or the cleanliness of the place, the walls are extremely thin you can actually her you neighbours going to the toilet and all sorts of other noises.

We had a family room which was spacious, and very clean.
The food was fairly good with plenty of choice, directly across the road from the hotel entrance was the caracas bar, you could get snacks here all day, cheesy chips, nacho's, hot dogs, pizza's and lots more, the also had another swimming pool here, which personally i thought was the better one, as did my children.
It was very well located, lots of shops, bars and restarants, and about two mins from the beach.
The staff were all friendly, didn't mind how many drinks you order or how often!!
Had entertainment on every night which was also fairly good,
The only bad thing i could say about his hotel is that is slightly noisy at night, hearing people coming in early hours, but, probably annoyed me more cos i was jealous, couldn't do it cos i had kids!!!

| said: This is an excellent 3* hotel. Staff all round the friendliest I've ever encountered in Spain. Very clean and room accommodated all 6 of us and was still spacious. Looked like it was freshly painted. Food - plently of it but, I would say, was definately only of a 3* rating. No problem, though, in getting as much drinks as you wanted, whnever you wanted but lights out at around 12pm - i.e. feel your way to the lift! Very well located in the resort - very near shops and beach yet in a quiet locale. Entertainment at night great foe kids and pool at Caracus fab. Excellent choice for yound families - my kids are 8,6,5 and 3 and made lots of friends. Everyone is very relaxed and friendly including holidaymakers.
However.......we arrived at 10pm and were told we could not stay as the hotel had been double booked by travel company. This happened to about a dozen other bookings over about a three day period that I know of - beware. We were put to a German hotel close by which was only of a 2* quality but we were lucky enough to get moved back 3 days later with a bouquet of flowers for our inconvenience. Nobody else got back in. Don't think it was the hotels fault..... If you book online call hotel personally to confirm your booking before travelling.

The staff (especially the Bar Staff) were all really friendly. The entertainment team were a great laugh and there was always something going on in the day if you wanted to join in. The evening entertainment was good and varied. The food was good with great Breakfasts and something for everyone at Lunchtime and in the Evening. If you just wanted pizza or a sandwich in the day or later in the Evening, you could go over the road (about 20 Metres) to the Carracus Bar. There is another good swimming pool and plenty of sun loungers there just for Clumba Mar residents. My 13 year old son and his friends spent most days there.
The Hotel is only 2 minutes from the Beach and there are plenty of Shops around the Hotel too.
We enjoyed every minute, made some great friends and will definitely be back next year!

| said: WOW we had the time of our lives!! I went with my 6 yr old son on the first week of the school hols.
I decided to book this hotel due to all of the reviews I read all over the net they were great, now I see why.
-the food was smashing lots of choice for us fussy eaters and children and available all day.
-the staff were amazing everyone from reception, kitchen, maids etc
-maid service every morning with clean towels.
-Beware if you have a vodka and coke you get more than half a glass of vodka and a tiny amount of coke!! its the same with all drinks!!
-the beach is a few mins down the road.
-lots of shops two mins away.
-very clean hotel everything is being cleaned throughout the day.
-The entertainment was mostly great the kids have a disco every night, also bingo lots of choice.
-the pools are spotless lots of sunbeds.
-my son loved the kids club I was sick of taking him in twice a day as it left me on my own it shows they were donig something right in there!!
-the aircon nice and chilly great when the average temps 32.
-there seams to no limit on how many drinks you buy with your AI card people were getting three at a time for themselves they were happy to give you a tray knowing they were for one person. Its very relaxed!!
There were so many people who were on there second/third visit here it sounds like the hotel is getting better and better not far off of 4* if you ask me. My son made so many friends there were only 30 or so children they all got on and were all gutted to leave eachother and the reps. This realy has been our best holiday ever mostly due to the staff at the Clumba Mar!!!
We left at 5 in the morning the hotel had a small selection of breakfast available hot drinks etc it was smashing they also put food on for guests coming late at night.
There is only one bad point that did not affect me but others were double booked and got put into other hotels owned by the Clumba Mar but these hotels are run by germans and not anywhere as nice and they came back to the hotel to eat swim etc.. this happened to at least twenty other groups of people families as well. I would recomend that you contact the hotel to get some written confirmation your room will be available on that date just to cover your back I do know that huge amounts of flowers had been sent to these people as a sorry I dont think its the hotels fault.
Dont let this put off though its a great hotel!!

This hotel is for families with lots of kids. I would say 90% of this hotel is full up with families. Lots of screaming kids and crying babies 24/7.
The parents dont seem to care what the kids are doing, They are too busy drinking or just dont care because they're on holiday.
If you havent got kids or want a quiet relaxing holiday dont stay here.

| said: After a 3 hour delay at Gatwick we arrived rather late in the evening but was welcomed by the staff and hot food was made available for us at the bar over the road which is owned by the Hotel.
The Hotel was very clean in all areas on arrival and stayed this way throughout our stay. This was due to the hard work of all the staff involved.
As for the food, breakfast was excellent, lunch was satisfactory and Dinner was very good.(We had a fussy eater with us and he never complained once about the food as there was plenty of choice) Having stayed in other 3,4,and 5 star all inclusive Hotels this was by far the best 3 star and better than some of the 4 star.
There are 2 swimming pools, one located in the main Hotel grounds and one over the road. Both are very clean with plenty of free sunbeds and parasols.
The Hotel is within easy reach of the beach, main shopping area and bus stops.(5 min walk) All the Hotel staff worked very hard and were very friendly.
Throughout the week the evening entertainment was varied and mainly enjoyable. They played Bingo and had horse racing games as well as outside entertainers coming in.Daytime activities took place around the pool for those who wanted to take part.
We would definitely go there again.

| said: We have stayed at the Clumba Mar twice, once with daughter, son inlaw and grandchildren in 2005 on a half board basis and 2007 as a couple on all inclusive.
I found the Hotel catered very well for both familys (with its safe and clean pools) and couples, so much so that we booked to go again in 2008, days after returning.
The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. We asked for a poolside room and because one was available, got one. staff also precented us with flowers as a returner.
The Hotel is spotless as cleaners are sweeping, dusting and polishing from dawn to dusk.
We asked for advice on day trips and was put intouch with a local firm that was brilliant. Much cheeper that other options and all British tour guides.
We were also told about the beautiful(free)nature reserve on the way to Alcudia that you can catch the local bus to visit. or walk to as we did. There, you will witness flying fish in the rivers. I promise you.
The food was great as the chef and staff try to cater for everyone. I put on half a stone. boo hoo! (I am on a diet now in preperation for my next visit)
The entertainment was good and saw some great shows there.
Its as if you get two hotels for the price of one with Caracus bar and pools just over the road, it comes with the package.
Anyone wanting a great all inclusive holiday at a reasonable price in a wonderful part of Majorca that offers everything will not be disappointed.

| said: We stayed at the Clumba Mar for one week when they first went all inclusive 3-10 May.
The hotel was clean and the maids made your beds, swept & mopped floors daily. Pool area was spotless.
Food....This is where the hotel lost points for us! It was terrible. For the first three days the food was barely warm, we had chicken thighs, fish fingers and chicken nuggets every day for lunch for the whole week. The lunch was not served in the dining room , but alongside it in a small area. As more guests arrived, you sometimes had to wait for 10-15 just to be seated. The crockery looked worn and chipped, often no cutlery or crockery to be found at all! one night for our main meal we had a selection of chicken thigh (again), pickled mussles and beefburger(no bun. Snacks were supposed to be served and I have yet to see one. We did ask for a sandwich at the bar and were given stale bread with one side buttered with ham and cheese that was like rubber! never mind all holidays have a down side!
Hotel is situated just a couple of minutes from the beach and in easy reach of the local shops( very central).
The majority of the hotel staff were very nice, friendly and bent over backwards to help.
Thomsons do not run the entertainment at this hotel, they have their own entertainment staff, all of who are English. Gavin,Tony, Rachael and Emma are lovely people. I especially liked Tony who tried effortlessly to get the guests to join in the activities. I believe that Rachael left the hotel on the 10th May.
If the food was improved drastically and more structured daytime entertainment put on then yes I will definatley return to this hotel. I will watch reviews posted and maybe try next year or the year after.

Entertainments team of Dave and Gemma who did a great job at kids club along with night enetertainment, the kids really enjoyed their company and effort they put into activities, involving as many as possible from the youngest to the oldest, it was great!!
Never a dull moment at the hotel, there was always someone to speak to.
Food at night was great, wide selection and always salad, they catered for all needs in my opinion.
Hotel was right next to the beach and the shops which was highly beneficial for those who are older. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would go back anytime.

Excellent location just a couple of minutes walk to bars and beach.
Hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were lovely.
The only downside was the food breakfast was ok what you'd expect but evening meals were tasteless and nothing seemed to go together ate salad for the whole week which was lovely but anybody can make a salad eh?
Drinks in hotel reasonable.
Can't comment on the pools as we spent every day at the beach, Can Picafort beach is not the cleanest lots of fag butts but if you lie on the watersedge it's clean, water lovely.
All in all this hotel was brill apart from the food..

| said: Hotel is spotlessly clean and in a great location just 2 minutes from a lovely beach.
Caracas bar opposite has a great pool and plenty of atmosphere that is sadly lacking in the main hotel.
Rooms are very clean and basic but have all you need.
Reception staff are great and you can exchange money there at a very competitive rate.
Entertainment was disappointing. Children's time had very little variety and the Spirit of Disney was both painful and disappointing to watch.
Evening at the Caracas were more fun, they had a few good acts and you could sit outside. One thing that we particularly did not like about Clumba Mar was that you could not enter the lounge/bar area until after 9.00 am.
I presume this is to stop the towel brigade accessing the pool area, but there were doors that could have been locked to this effect)but it meant you were confined to your room/dining room or outside in the street.
Sometimes you just want to sit and read a book or newspaper if you are the first one up!
The food was good, a mix of basic Spanish or English dishes and plenty of it.
All in all this is a nice, clean hotel in a great location but lacking in atmosphere.

Hotel very welcoming on arrival and we were allocated rooms with a pool view.
Room adequate cleaned daily, and fully air conditioned.
Dining room well organised never had to wait to seat six of us.
We found food good, my dads a fussy eater and managed to eat three courses.
Entertainment of a night very good. Dave kept the kids going until the bingo started then on most nights there was a tribute band/singer. Backward Beatles brilliant.
Both pools nice always managed to find beds for six of us.
Some guests did complain of noise with balconies overlooking the road.
Would recommend this hotel.

| said: Had a great time at the hotel. The only thing wrong with the place is the food. Breakfast was ok with full English available.
Evening was not good as most of the food was mass produced. no taste and the veg (what little there was) was always cold. It got so bad that we ate out 50% of the time. Also I didn't agree with the dress code. In the morning men were allowed to wear shorts but in the evening you were not. Only trousers 3/4 length and above. This struck me as odd.
Luckily I had a pair of tracksuit bottoms which I travelled in, so I wore those for the 2 weeks.
Thomson really should inform people of this inconvienience. other than that it is a good hotel.
There are 2 pools to choose from, 1 in the hotel grounds and 1 over the road at the caracus bar(owned by the hotel) we went to the Caracus pool everyday as I felt that the hotel pool was a bit cramped.
Kids club is ran by the hotel and is very good.
The staff were very friendly and the cleanliness is second to none.
We didn't stay in for any entertainment so can't really comment but did catch a few acts as we were comming and going from the hotel and didn't think much of what we saw.
This hotel is going all inclusive next year so we will not be returning. If I could get a room only basis here would defininetly go back but the food would stop us returning.

The hotel is spotless, the cleaners come to your room every day and do a very good job. If you need fresh towels leave them on the bathroom floor and they will be changed.
All the staff are very friendly and happy to help. The food is lovely lots of choice even for my husband who is very hard to feed even at home.
Lots of choice for the kids as well.
The entertainment reps where fab Jordan,Paul and Danni, they put on shows that were great. There was also acts on that were very good groups, dancers, comedian etc. The hotel is only 2 minutes from the shops and 3 minutes from the beach.
Had a fabulous holiday and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The 2 pools were excellent with plenty of space and sunbeds and there were no groups of young friends staying in the hotel. While there were children in the hotel, we feel that this hotel is more suited to couples.
Unfortunately for us, the evening meal was only ok with little variation and "mass produced" style cooking! We did eat out more than we had planned to. The breakfast was very good, well cooked and good choice.
The hotel appeared to offer a good variation of entertainment, although we did not stay for the entertainment, preferring to explore the resort.
The hotel is ideally located, only a 3 minute walk to the beach and resort centre. There is also an excellent British bar on the doorstep!
Overall, we agree that this hotel is exactly what it says in the brochure, a value for money 3 star hotel.

This hotel is situated in a very good spot, minutes from the beach and same distance to all the bars. The Hotel has 2 excellent pools of which always plenty of sunbeds and very safe for children.
The hotel entertainers (Paul,Jordan,Danni & Tracey) are excellent and keep the kids entertained with daytime and evening entertainment. There is also a kids club which is run by the entertainers so ignore Thompson if they say there is no kids club anymore at this hotel!!
You can't ask for a better hotel its brillant!!! All the staff are so friendly what more can you ask for.

The hotel is very clean with maids coming every day to clean the rooms and change bedding.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. We even get presents when we go back for being before.
The breakfasts are superb with loads of choice from full English to fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, rolls, etc...
Evening meals are hot and a good variety was available including a separate kids area.
The 2 pools are excellent with none of the problems of getting a sunbed you used to have when there was only the 1 pool. Areas are safe and clean around the hotel and pools.
It is only a 2 minute walk to shops and the beach.
You coudn't ask for a better holiday.
The only negative is that the rooms only fit 3 beds or 3 and a cot, so for a family of 4, you have to take someone else along to share rooms or get 2 rooms.
Overall though, superb!!!

The rooms were cleaned daily and all lobbies were hoovered daily.
The hotel is ideally situated, a 5 min walk to the beach and resort centre.
Hotel has 2 pools with plenty of sunbeds.
The entertainment was exactly the same set up you get at all hotels, kids disco, bingo, quiz followed by a show, but it was made all the better by Jordan, Danny and Paul who were absolutely brilliant with the kids! My two boys really enjoyed the fun club and the kids disco.
This is an ideal hotel for families, we would definitely return to this hotel!!!

I would love to go again as the food and the staff were great!! Entertainment was a little suspect at times but great for the very young children (up to about 10 years old or so...) But you can't please everyone all the the time. Great rooms, cleaned very well every day. Great pools and bar. You would not be disappointed with a stay in this hotel. Well done everyone!!

| said: This was our first stay in a hotel and reading some comments before we left, made us quite concerned. When we got there we were very pleased with everything. We were made to feel very welcome and found the staff very helpful. Our room was very clean and was plenty big enough for the 3 of us.
I have to use a wheelchair some of the time and we did find that the slope at the entrance of the hotel was quite steep. I had to get out and walk up as my children could not push me up it. So I think it would be a problem for wheelchair uses who can't walk at all. Otherwise in the hotel it was flat on the ground floor no steps, so easy access to lounge and dining-room.
We found the hotel very clean and we enjoyed trying different things to eat for meals. There was always plenty of choice if you wanted to eat something different to chips! My son had chips most nights but my daughter and I had a different meal every night. We stayed for 14 nights and only ate out once which was when we were at a show. We did see people turning there noses up at the food but we did notice that some people seem to go on holiday just to moan and complain about everything. So why go away at all?
The new swimming pool and bar Caracas definitely improves the hotel. The food is great there and the people that run it are friendly. We had lunches there and they were very nice and reasonably priced.
The hotel is in a great position. It’s very near the shops and the beach. Great if you can't walk far. Pavements are a bit hit and miss for wheelchairs. Along the pavement from the hotel to the beach and shops there is one lamppost where it's in the middle and I had to get out and fold the chair up to get past it. Apart from that one it was not too bad.
The reps were very nice and helpful. The two people that really made our holiday were Paul and Jordan the entertainers, they were so patient with the little children. Also they gave everything they had to make everyone get the most out of their holiday. Everyone was made to feel welcome playing the games and entertainment. Also their shows were brilliant. We all had great fun.
We just got back yesterday and are already looking to go back next year. We were determined to have a great time on holiday and we certainly did here.

| said: I must admit that after reading some earlier reports on this hotel I was more than worried as I was responsible for booking a party of 16 friends into this hotel.
My report is on behalf of the 16 friends all aged between 55 to 63 years old.
We found all areas of the hotel including the bedrooms to be spotlessly clean (congratulations to the cleaning staff) - plenty of room around the two pool areas and more than enough sun beds to accommodate the the sun worshippers (all the sun beds were new and very clean).
The bedrooms were basic but spacious, the air conditioning was a bonus and "on tap" whenever needed.
The staff were most helpful, polite and very friendly especially Pedro in reception.
The head waiter, Pedro, in the dining room escorted everyone to their table and was most helpful in seating the sixteen of us on tables of four in the same area, we found him and his staff always pleasant and courteous.
The food was the biggest disappointment as there was not enough choice for the main course, just one meat and on many occasions found most of it to be cold. They seemed to run out of boiled potatoes at about 8pm and substituted them with sauté potatoes and on one occasion they were still frozen!!! I can only score the food with a minus three.
We did not take advantage of the entertainment on offer as we were happy to take a stroll around town.

The staff very polite and friendly. Paul and especially Jordon kept not only the kids entertained but the adults too. They are both extremely hard workers, keep it up!!
I wasn't overly impressed with the evening meals as they became very repetitive, and nothing really went together. Kids were okay as they had plenty of chicken nuggets and chips. The breakfast on the other hand was ample and very good, the best eggs ive ever had. I think this hotel could well with a few little adjustments be one of the best in Majorca. The entertainment was very good - we were at the end of the season but they still had some excellent entertainment there, graham powel a comedian/singer, brilliant.
M town excellent, to say just a few. One note - it could do with a dance floor - when you fancy a boogie. The location is excellent 5 min walk to a superb sandy beach with plenty of bars along the prom.

Location is again excellent only a few minutes walk from the beach and watering holes but far enough away to be quiet.
Hotel staff cannot be faulted, every one of them is helpful, polite and cheerful, a real credit to themselves and Mallorca.
As we didn't have children with us we never experienced the "in house" entertainment. We "escaped" across the road to the Caracas bar every night (a must visit place)
This was our second visit to this hotel and we will definitely be going again

Hotel situated within easy reach of beach/bars/shops& a wide choice of eateries, but far enough away from any noise or disturbance.
Hotel staff friendly and helpful.
Entertainment in hotel good but if you wanted a really excellent night out the Caracas bar (part of Clumba Mar hotel) just across the road from the main entrance was the place to be.
The staff "Tony, John and Allen went out of there way to make your holiday memorable.
The bar, pool and surrounding areas were kept spotless at all times.

The location was a decent way from the beach, so you didnt have people always walking past. And it was set back from the nightlife so it wasnt to noisy to sleep.
Overall We all loved the Clumba Mar and are returning again this year.

| said: I have to say that i really was not looking forward to going on holiday with my family but i am back now and i can truley say that i had an amazing time. The hotel was very basic especially the rooms but the rest was lovely. The staff were probably the best thing about the hotel especially the rep jordan. He would entertain the entire pool area all day and then join in with all of the entertainment at night... enjoying every minute of it. he is one of the funniest people i have ever met. Paul is also a very good rep. The pool across the road is very good, always plent of sunbeds and unbrellas for everyone and the food was very nice at breakfast and dinner. i had such a good holiday and want to thank all of the reps and staff for making it alot better.

| said: The hotel was great, it was clean and in a great position being only a few minutes from the bars and the beach.
The entertainment was not very good as it was aimed to the younger generation(up to age 10)but the staff were very friendly especially pedro, gabi and manuell, they were great and I highly recommend the hotel to anyone and to order a cheeky vimto because they are lush.
We are going back to the hotel this summer with more friends as we had such a good time last year.

| said: The food was nice, however Emma got sick from the minging orange juice, and we can only presume it was undiluted squash. Also stay away from the 'tomato' juice.
The hotel was very clean and even I, the most cleanest of people, had no complaints. The entertainment was ok, we passed the time away by staring at Jordan, the best looking person we'd seen all through the holiday.
The drinks in the hotel were extortionate but our vodkas and coke were mainly vodka so Emma was very wobbly after just two.
The pool was always clean but ice cold and found that the younger kids in the hotel always seemed to manage to throw their ball so it hit me n Em on the head.
Overall a nice hotel with friendly (and beaut) staff and we will be returning next year. Young kids beware; we will be armed with our own ball next time!!!!!!!!!

| said: This was our first ever trip abroad and having read the previous year's reports I wondered what I'd let us in for!
The hotel was always clean, the maids tidying the beds and cleaning every day. The air conditioning was brilliant (especially as there was a heatwave whilst we were there - 43 to 45 degrees!). The option for clean towels was always available. We used the new pool and I never saw any rubbish, dirt etc - it was immaculate. The two lifts came in very handy as we were on the top floor (5th). The rooms are basic, no TV or kettle, but who wants to just sit in their room anyway! A handy hint is that you can evidentally rent a DVD player and a selection of films from Palma airport for the duration of your stay - if you really can't be without the little screen! We took our own travel kettle, tea bags etc...
My daughter and I are both quite fussy eaters, but the selection available at breakfast and dinner was impressive and we always managed to find something to eat. Items on the buffet being constantly re-filled by the chefs who were always on duty watching over the selection. The range of chocolates and sweets available at reception also proved a hit with Amber!
We found the location of the hotel very pleasing. The main street being about a minutes walk from the hotel entrance with the beach just another minute (all visible from the balcony of our room).
The staff and holiday reps, well what can I say, they could not have been more hard working and helpful if they tried! Always keen to help, and very friendly. I'd like to know where the entertainment staff (Jordan and Paul) get their energy from... the kids all seemed to love them, and they were versatile enough to entertain the adults to. Keep up the good work everyone!
We didn't see much of the adult orientated evening entertainment, but Amber enjoyed the mini disco each day and we joined in with a game of bingo where it was possible to win over 150 euros on some occassions. We chose to go on a number of excursions whilst at the Clumba Mar and would recommend them all...
Pirates - a show full of acrobatics, thrills and excitement. Definitely worth a visit, but if taking children, just be aware of the never ending range of 'goodies' being brought round to buy - it can get expensive!
Moonlight Riding - riding for all abilities and ages on a ranch. Those complete non-riders taking a ride on the sangrea (can't spell that!) express wagon! Followed by bbq and line-dancing. Just take plenty of insect repellent! A really good, if dusty experience!
A Day trip to Palma - we visited the Cathedral, modern art gallery and shops, a nice day out. Amber was facinated with the 'living' statues in the gardens.
A Family Fun Boat trip - a glass bottomed boat trip around the coast from Alcudia, getting in close to the pirate caves and landing for 1 1/2 hours on the beach on an island where the stars all holiday (begins with an F but the name escapes me!). Very clear water, we enjoyed throwing food over the side of the boat and watching the fish fight over it! Champagne diving in one of the coves on the way back. A nice, relaxing experience.
Would we visit the hotel again? Definitely - don't let the previous year's bad reports put you off!

| said: With eight of us travelling, we expected the hotel rooms to cater for much smaller families. To our suprise, when we requested extra beds in the rooms, there was no hesitation in another one being added and still there was enough space in the hotel room to store suitcases etc.
Clumbar Mar was kept very clean at all times, with cleaners and maids present in the coridoors almost constantly.
As our family paid for half board, we ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel's dining room. There was in deed alot to choose from, but most meals became reptitive, and without the children's buffet which served chips etc, us brit's would have been lost!
The hotel was just 2 minutes walk from one of the cleanest, most beautiful beaches we have ever seen in mallorca. Nightlife is approx. 5 miutes walk from the hotel, which is very useful when returning back in the early hours!
Every day was made better by the welcoming staff at the Clumba Mar. The bar staff tried their very best to speak english and were undertandable, but I would recommend that anyone visiting learnt a few essential phrases in spanish before they went.. else the staff spend all their time giving lessons in spanish! It really made the holiday though, we were made to fell so welcome.
Evening entertainment was extemely good, the reps must have been worn out, with them entertaining the children with songs and games for hours on end. Good one Jordan! Adult entertainment started later, with cabaret shows and tribute bands to the highest standards.
All in all, we must say that Cluma Mar was by far the best hotel we have EVER stayed in. We've already started saving up for next year! A truly AMAZING holiday.

| said: I have just returned from the Clumba Mar, my eighth visit over a number of years and I have had an excellent time. The staff at this hotel are absolutly great, nothing is too much trouble for them and they go out of their way to make your holiday enjoyable. I travelled alone this time, no problems. The food is good tho a little repetative, but lots of fresh fruit and salads to choose from. The general cleanliness is very good throughout the hotel and also the pools, the new pool which has been constructed is very impressive and no shortage of sunbeds and shades on the terraces around the pool. Good selection of entertainment. Paul and Jordan are the resident entertainment team and work hard. The Caracus bar at the new pool opposite is an absolute must to visit, Tony,John and Allan are hilarious amd you can even see Leapy Lee!!!!!
A great hotel, I highly recommend it.

The food was good, did become slightly repetative, but overall there was always a decent choice. The location was excellent, 2 minutes to the beach and to the friendly bars. The hotel entertainment was also good, with a wide variety of groups and singers, some of very good quality. Look out for the 4 tops tribute - excellent!! The hotel was rocking!!
Overall, this is a very friendly, well organised, clean hotel. We had a great time and have already booked to come back this year!
