We have just returned from one weeks holiday HB with friends at this hotel.

We had sea view rooms up on the second floor, the veiw was lovely but with the hotel right on the promenard the noise from clubbers wandering back from 4:00am onwards did wake us up, a shame the balcony doors are not double glazed as this would stop a lot of the noise. You can hear the deep boom boom from the music in the clubs but you do seem to get used to it and i cant say it kept us awake .

Be warned there is no air conditioning in the main dining room or reception area or in fact the whole hotel, basicaly you walk in from the heat outside to heat inside! The rooms have ceiling fans which just circulate warm air! you can have air conditioning in the room which will cost you 42 euros for the week!! a must in the heat of summer.

Fridges for the room can be hired at a cost of 50 eruos for the week(we hired one and shared it)A deposit is needed of 10 euros for the remote control for the telly and 3 euros for the safe, the 13 euros you do get refunded at the end of the week.

The dining area is very cramped and you sit at the same table for all meals which is a good idea just a shame they are not on the ball at clearing the tables!!. Breakfast was very good proper english sausages sadly the eggs were a bit on the hard side!! As for the evening meal, the hot meals did not look appertizing at all so salads were mainly eaten.

The rooms are cleaned every day wih clean towels but the sheets were not changed every day.

The pool is far too small too cater for all the guests and as usual the beds are taken early in the morning with the cerimonial laying out of towels!! it is in the shade so the best positions in the sun are taken!

We hired 4 sunbeds and 2 umbrella,s which cost 27.50 euros for the day!! needless to say we were not going to be paying that every day, so the men wandered down to the sister hotel Ses Savionnes(excuse spelling!) and as you approach along the promenard there is a small wall with a small gate it looks as if it belongs to the small house but it does belong to the hotel and has sunbeds on a small sandy beach so this is where we went for the rest of the holiday.

We were about a 10 min walk from all the hustle and bustle of San Antonio ,we enjoyed walking down of an evening and sitting at one of the many resturants, we never encountered any problems and everyone was very friendly.

The only reason we would not return to the hotel is we like to go to different places and try other hotels

My son (aged 7) and I went to Ibiza during the October half term, never having been there before, we didn't quite know what to expect.

We flew out of Manchester, on check in (which we could do early) we were advised that there was an hours delay due to a tech problem earlier in the day. By the time we'd walked through to departures our 1am departure had been changed to 5.05am! We spent the whole night, in an airport with little facilities open and available for those trapped all night. The one bar was open and although we were given £6 of vouchers it wasnt nearly enough to buy at the high prices. They kept closing the bar through the night, and although the waiting area was ok, every single flight that departed that evening was delayed.

The flight with Thomas Cook airlines was ok when we finally got going, but because we had been due to arrive in Ibiza at about 4/5am, and we didnt get to the hotels til lunchtime, we had missed the whole first night of our accommodation.

The hotel is right on the beach in San Antonio Bay, it really is the first hotel you come to, before hitting the beginning of the main town. It is literally across the road from Club Eden, but because of the time of year, all apart from one club on the island was closed. We also found that so many shops, bars and restaurants had already closed for the season, and it was like visiting a ghost town. The location of the hotel was good however, literally across the new promenade from the beach, and if you have a sea view room the view across the bay/marina area is lovely to see.

The Arenal has a sister hotel the Ses Savines, and entertainment was split between the two, and you could use the facilities at both. The hotel was clean, and roomy, reception and lounge area had plenty of space, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy, but we were disappointed to receive a room, that not only looked over the main road and a Burger King sign, but was above the staff entrance to the kitchens, and the staff were not quiet on arrival! And neither was the maintenance man, who insisted on starting work hammering etc down beneath our room from about 730am!

If you want a sea view, ask for a room with an even number on any of the three floors, the higher the room number the better the view. Odd numbers but higher had a pool view but still overlooked the road. The road noise even at this time of year when the island was quiet, was disturbing! So well recommend a sea view if you can get one to avoid that noise. What it would be like in high season I wouldnt like to guess. However, our room was roomy, clean and had plenty of storage space. It would normally hold 3 single beds, and although the furniture is dark wood and makes the room quite dark, there was a big sliding glass door out to a very large and secure balcony area. The bathroom was very big, and very clean, witha bath with shower over. We had no problems with hot water supply, and even though the hotel was busy and fairly full.

The dining room can be cramped, you are given a table when you arrive which has your room number placed on it, and this is the table you use for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was always hot and plenty of choice, cooked breakfast of all of the normal stuff, with English sausages etc. there was also a choice of cereals, and the coffee from the machine was lovely. Limited choice of cold meats and cheeses and the bread wasnt that great unless toasted. but it was always well prepared and cooked, and plenty to get. plates are very small however, and it looked as if everyone was eating huge piles, it wasnt the case, just small plates. The tables are placed very close together, some so close people cannot walk between them, so if you wanted a private meal, it was pretty difficult to do.

Dinner was always hot, and some excellent choices. We were pleasantly surprised by the food choices, there was limited kids food however, especially if fussy, but always had chips, pasta dish, as well as various meat dishes/stews/casserole type things and one type of fish. There was also a salad/cold bar, with lots of choice, all were really nice and tasty. Puddings were ok, but excellent choice of fresh fruit, melons, pineapple etc and also little tubs of Walls ice cream which were always welcomed by the kids and adults alike.

there is a snack bar at the hotel and although we used it twice, it wasnt great. Food was averagely priced, but you are close to San Antonio town, where there are some great restaurants overlooking the fountains and marina area, (just down from the roundabout with the big egg!) these were well priced and excellent choice. Or at least the ones open were.

The Arenal has a large bar area, with lots of comfy (and less comfy seats) it is all however non smoking. Bar prices are on average, although some of the drinks were priced quite highly. Next to the bar area is an indoor heated pool! This was invaluable for the holiday as the weather left a lot to be desired. the weekend we arrived had been the first dry day they had had in 9 days, and although in our week we had 3 days of rain, the other 4 were ok, but nothing spectacular. A coat /jumper was definitely needed in the evening, and unfortunately often in the day too, but this pool certainly helped keep the kids amused. It also had 2 pool tables and a table tennis table. (1 euro for pool and 1 euro 50 for the "hire" of the table tennis bats and balls this wasnt refundable either) The pool was ok, very warm, although people could smoke in this area and it did get quite smokey. there was also the largeish outdoor pool and small kids pool, limited area around it however for sun loungers, but it caught the morning sun. The other side (beach side) has a grassed area space for sun loungers. In high season, I should imagine it gets very cramped and hard to get a lounger, especially if there are guests from the other hotel using the facilities.

The entertainment was nothing to write home about at all, it was shared between this hotel and the ses savines, and included things such as brazilian dancers, karaoke and a drag artist. Kids disco, again, nothing exciting, and not really worth staying at the hotel for to be honest. But then, everything was so quiet all over the island, choice was limited. I never imagined it to be so quiet as it was, and although we were ok, it would have been better to have a bit more life. Guess you wouldnt expect someone to be saying that about San Antonio in Ibiza however!

In all the hotel was a good choice, meets its star rating, but the rooms could do with some updating and brightening up. Towels provided, rooms cleaned well daily, beds VERY comfy and roomy, they will quickly provide you with extra pillows if you need. Internet access at 1 euro for 10 mins. there is a sauna and a gym and tv area in the basement altho we didnt venture to have a look.

if you hire a car as we did, we hired it at portmany cars which is opposite the hotel, great service and price much cheaper than the tour company. Be aware that parking at the hotel can be very cramped, not much area, but when the staff arrive for work, they use the guest car park and park anywhere, 3 mornings on the trot we had to get reception to work out who the cards belonged to so we could move ours. There is some on road parking however, but 2 people at our hotel had their cars broken into while out on the main road.

Our rep, left a lot to be desired. He was NEVER in the hotel when he said he would be, the kids would often say hello to him, but he couldnt even muster a hello. He was always complaining he was tired. The reps on the incoming and outgoing airport transfers weren't much better either. And although our flight home didnt leave til 215am, we were disgusted to find out that people in the sister hotel had been allowed to keep their rooms free (last night of the season) but those at ours not only had to pay, but to pay for the evening meal too! Having lost the whole first night accommodation, we didnt think it would have hurt them to have helped with this, especially with the amount of kids. As it was, we had to take refuge in the lounge area, but when they closed the bar area and moved everyone into the same area where we were all waiting, it was noisy, and not the best of places to sit.

The hotel had a lot of families here, whether it is like this in higher season I dont know, but you could definitely witness wear and tear to the doors and walls along the corridors to the rooms! it is perhaps more suited to families. Although some of the locals were saying that San Antonio has quietened down a lot, and more families are returning to this resort following so much bad press. although they also said, this year has been far quieter than previous years . . .

All in all, the hotel was ok, roomy, clean and the food was better than expected. Ive only answered no to returning to this hotel because we rarely travel to the same place twice, and it has to be a special place to make us do so. As it was, this was an "extra" holiday at the end of the year, but didnt come close to our earlier holiday to Turkey. We wouldnt return to Ibiza even in high season, or at least nearer to the summer, we travelled round the whole island by car, its easy to get around, driving ok, roads good, altho there are good bus services although they all go into Ibiza town and then out to the smaller places.

On arrival to the hotel at 5am we were checked in very quickly, we went to our room and had 2 single beds as a young couple this was not good for us. We went straight down to reception and they changed us straight away no questions asked! result!! The Room was spacious with clean bed linen and towels every day. Air con is available but we choose not to have it, the ceiling fan and door open is good enough.

The food was disgusting, bland and just a big heap of mushy stuff (and no I'm not a fussy eater) so we ate out all week which is cheap enough. The staff were friendly and always happy.

Entertainment most the time is in the sister hotel just up the road. Kids disco starts at 9pm and finishes about 1:30am but what do you expect...your in ibiza!

The hotel is right on the beach about 3 minutes away from Eden and Es Paradis and yes there is noise all night but once again just remember where you are! Our first choice rep Spencer was always helpful and goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy yourselves even more.

Well named the God Father hotel by me and my friend it was like living in the film itself!

The day we got there we thought it was a bit out of the way but towards the end of the holiday we realised we were in the ideal location.

The hotel is really clean.

Food not upto much but it saved us money so we had more to spend on alcohol....I would not recommend this hotel for a group of young lively people.

First Choice told us it was a adult only hotel but when we got there it was mainly families and couples that would be the only reason why I wouldn't return to it next year.

We stayed in the Arenal for two weeks, and had a very enjoyable holiday.

The hotel was very clean, maid service was daily and you also had clean towels every day.

The hotel food was very basic, alot of cold foods and salads. Not alot of choice.we didn't mind as much as our evenings consisted of drinking rather than eating!we always found something we liked.

For a young group of friends the hotel is in an excellent location. The bars start just beside the hotel, and you can work your way up to the west end. There is also a burger king,KFC and Pizza Hut next door.

On booking we requested room with sea view but we got a pool view. It seemed all family bookings got sea views and young group bookings received pool views. As the hotel doesn't have air conditioning we had to leave our balcony door open during the night. This was very noisy! and still very hot!!

The staff in the hotel were very friendly, especially the bar staff. The cleaners tend to open your rooms and leave them open whilst cleaning other rooms. We had a few things stolen from our rooms, whether it was due to this we are not quite sure. But I recommend a safety deposit box for everything! including cameras, jewellery, purses and English money!

The hotel entertainment seemed very basic, not many guests stayed to watch. we didn't see too much of it as we didn't come down until midnight most evenings.

We didn't go to our welcome meeting on our first day so we didn't know who are rep was. We rarely saw any reps during our stay. On departure from the hotel, our party was the only ones leaving. We waited outside for our coach, when a coach finally turned up the rep got off and said it wasn't for us. After waiting a little longer, it then turned out it was our coach and they had gone without us! We then had to pay for three taxis to the airport, so its probably best to try and meet your rep so you know whats going on!

If I were on another singles holiday I would definitely go back to the Arenal, but I wouldn't return as a couple or a family. The hotel was very noisy during the early hours with clubbers returning to the hotel. We were the ones making the noise!! but we never had any complaints from staff! Excellent for young groups of friends!!!

On the whole, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

The food was tasty, enough choice, entertainment could of been better though.

The rooms we're very clean, a bit small. A bit disappointed that you have to pay 6 euro's a day for your air conditioning on.

Pool area's good.
Ideal place for young people.
Staff we're very polite

On the whole, I enjoyed this holiday very much. Although good changes could happen.

Ages of party: 53, 50, 39, 34, 12 and 7 years. Stayed 2 weeks at Arenal.

Cleanliness: Our rooms, and the hotel in general were very clean and well maintained. Both the pools were spotless. The maid service was excellent, and cleaners were spotted around the hotel cleaning all the time.

Food: We found the food very good. Yes, there were occasional bizarre combinations (pork curry and sprouts?!), but there was a massive choice, so you could always pick and choose your own combination. My daughter (7 years) is infamously fussy, but found several somethings she liked every night, and just ate a lot of those. There was plenty of salad and fruit with the evening meal. We felt that the children were able to eat healthily and did not stuff chips every night.

Breakfasts were very average, but again, there was fruit, toast and cereal. If you are an incredibly fussy eater, there is a pub accross the road serving all day breakfast (very good value at under 6 euros), and a pizzeria accross the road (food good, service very good).

Hotel location: Good in terms of being near town. You are right in the centre of the Bay. It is inevitable there will be some noise from revellers. If you are very sensitive about noise, don't stay here. It did not bother us. If you want a quiet night, turn left outside the hotel. If you want a wild night out, turn right in to town.

Staff: They take a while to get used to! A smile costs nothing and if you are friendly, they will be too...eventually! The reception staff are particularly helpful.

Entertainment: Oh dear! The big let down of this hotel. We werenot expecting much (having read previous reviews) but it was truly abysmal. The entertainment guy (calls himself James Bond) is funny and he tries really hard, but you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. The one evening that we enjoyed was the parrott show. The rest...zzzzz.

**A few tips**
*A glass of diet pepsi is 1 euro 60, a can (twice as much) costs 1 euro 90.

*They charge you 1 euro 50 to "hire" table tennis bats (each time!!). Buy yourself a set over the road for about 5 euros and use your own.

*You have to pay for air con, but it was so worth it in July. It worked properly, consistently, and it was swithched on before our arrival (lifesaver).

All in all, would we stay there again? You bet! Now we're wise to the ways of the Bay.

Enjoy!

This is a large hotel located in between the town and the bay, about two hundred yards from Bar M and Itaca which faces directly onto the beach.

The rooms are very spacious although a little old, giant single glazed sliding patio doors open onto a very large veranda which either face the busy San Antonino road or on the promenade facing the sea. Room service was excellent with rooms being cleaned and towels changed every day.

Food was a little basic and typical British affair with the usual fry ups for breakfast (although cereals were available) although food tended to be greasy and bland. In the dining room, it is reminiscent of a butlins camp, row of tables to which your are assigned one for your entire stay.

Entertainment, didn't stay in for it but seemed to provide something every day although it seemed a little tacky, such as Mrs personality, parrot show, magic show etc

The location although good for convenience to the town and facing the beach is a bit of a problem, if you have the sea view (I did) then you get constant noise during the night from night club revellers returning to their hotels and the hotel fronts the promenade, (it was noisy in May so god knows what it will be like in August), on the other side of the hotel is the busy San Antonio road with constant scooters and traffic.

Staff were very polite and helpful and they offer a range of equipment to hire such as hair dryers, toasters, radios etc etc with reasonable rates.

There is a basement gym which is very basic and a steam room which you have to request a key from reception to use. Overall the hotel is very spacious and although dated quite comfortable, however I won't be going back due mainly to the noise problems.

We stayed at this hotel for a week from 14/05/06, We found the hotel a little dated in its decor but very clean.

The food was ok there was a fair bit of choice. In the mornings there was an attempt at a fry up but also cereals, continental breakfast and fruit. In the evenings there was always different meals, only a few warnings though.. some days there would be onion rings and one night we found they changed them to squid! It was noted but we didn't see it until too late! Also they do sometimes put peanuts on desserts or in meals with no warnings near to them (a problem if like me you are allergic to them!)

The hotel was based right next to the beach with a lovely walkway between the hotel and the beach, this was nice for an evening walk after eating too much!

The staff were really nice and friendly, the maids would usually say hello to you in the mornings and the restaurant staff were pleasant too.

The entertainment was interesting to say the least, we didn't see most of it but what we heard was enough. Avoid the karoke it was terrible and some of the bands who are paid as entertainment where trying to sing in english and when they didn't know the words they mumbled instead! I know I can't sing in German, Spanish etc but it was funny to listen to!!

We would not go back to this area or hotel as we paid the extra for air conditioning but the hotel refused to turn it on as they did not turn it on until later on in the season. Not something you care about when you have already paid for it! Because of this we had to have the sliding doors open to stop us from melting and as previously mentioned the noise made from other inconsiderate tourists to the area. We were woken up at least twice if not more times a night! My husband (just married!) also suffered with heat rash because some nights we had to put up with the heat just to try to get a few hours of uninterrupted sleep! As I mentioned before be very careful if you have nut allergies. This is either not something they worry about in the hotel or hope you will be able to work out the ingredients of the meals without a list! I was quite poorly whilst on holiday because of this

The hotel is right on the beach in San Antonio, not far from the clubs - Es Paradis, Manumission and Eden, the harbour is also nearby offering lots of diving trips as well as boat trips - both day and night. The hotel does also do diving trips and on the beach pedaloes can be hired.

The food in the hotel is quite good, but it depends on what your tastes are. Before I went, I read a lot of reviews saying the food wasn't good, but when I got there, I found it depends on what you like and don't like. I did notice that they don't really cater for vegetarians, most of the food they served was meat or did include meat in it. Breakfast wasn't particularly that good, but again it does depend on likes and dislikes, if you like cereal and fruit for breakfast, there is a lot of that, but not much of a cooked breakfast. The restaurant is quite relaxed, you can take food out of the restaurant for the day, on the last day of my holiday, I made sandwiches for the afternoon, so I had some food for when I checked out, and no one made a fuss. I saw some guests taking glasses of juice upstairs and no one minded.

There is a very relaxed dress code in the evenings, as long as you don't go in without a top on or without wearing swimwear, you can wear what you want, I wore shorts, t-shirts and trainers and no one bothered. What does happen is that you are given a table that corresponds to your room number for the duration of your stay in the hotel, but that is not normally mentioned until you are sat at someone elses table and the manager approaching you saying that you are sat at someone elses table.

The meal times are between 8 and 10 for breakfast and between 7:30 and 9:30 in the evening, but if you do get hungry, there is a snack bar in the hotel offering hot food for decent prices, and if you do like icecream, there is an ice cream parlour underneath the hotel selling icecreams as well as meal deals including pizza, coffee with milk and an icecream for about 7 - 8 euros, if my memory is right, but it is something around that price.

The hotel also let you bring food and drink in from outside the hotel to consume in your room, but if you want to consume anything downstairs by the pool or in the bar, it has to be bought in the hotel. The staff are friendly at the hotel and are quick to sort out any problems with the rooms, I had one problem, I reported it in the morning, 30 mins later, a member of the maintenance staff came to see what the problem was, as he could not repair it, a carpenter was called, and the problem was sorted out in the early afternoon.

Air Conditioning is not included in your room cost, it does cost extra, but there is a ceiling fan in each room, which does a good enough job of keeping the room cool, but as I found out, the cleaner always seemed to switch it off when I was out of the room. There is a safe available to every room, it costs 2 euros per night plus a returnable deposit of 3 euros, but if you lose the key, you will be charged 12 euros.

If you are on a late night flight and want to keep your room for the day, which is subject to availability and 26 euros, you need to see the reception 24 hours before your flight to see if your room is available for that. The one person rooms are not as small as I was lead to believe by some reviews, they do not have a balcony, but you do get a good view of the harbour and the Zinema Bar, the noise of people coming back from the clubs isn't too bad, but you can hear the karaoke from the Zinema next door.

The entertainment provided by the hotel management is shared between the Arenal and the Ses Savines which is the sister hotel and is less than 10 mins walk from the Arenal and is a variety in entertainment, as well as that, there is a mini disco for the kids held every night in the Arenal.

There is an internet access point just behind reception but is quite expensive, about 1 euro for 3 mins, there is however a clubbing shop next door that offers internet access but not sure on their tariffs as I went to one right round the end of the bay on the street next to the pharmacy, past the cafes, restaurants and perfumeries, which costs 90 cents for 15 mins, 1 euro and 80 cents for 30 mins and 2 euros and 70 cents for 1 hour.

I definitely recommnend this hotel to anyone who wants to go to San Antonio.

Fab location, overlooking Promenade and beach far enough away from the Town but easy enough to walk to.

Very poor choice of food and often cold!

Entertainment pretty good, had a real laugh several nights, even saw a couple of the shows both weeks.

Rooms clean but very basic although new and large bathrooms. Loads of storage space and wardrobes.
Worth paying extra for sea-view, really large balconies with excellent sunsets over the sea.

Would possibly go back to the hotel but wouldn't want to eat there again. If they improved the food I would definately go back!

The hotel was clean, large rooms, food was very poor edible, but not enjoyable.

Close to town 5 minutes walk, very close to Eden night club, not good news for anyone with pool view as the noise is very bad from about 1am - 6am with motorbikes
road noise & the groups going home after a night out.

Entertainment not too bad, but don't expect too much.

Good for groups of young people.

Not many sun beds.

We didn't enjoy it & won't be returning.

Area: we travelled the last week in October and everything was closing or already closed. This had the effect of making it a very quiet relaxing holiday. The hotel is situated a stroll from the main town and in the other direction a pleasant walk takes you further into San Antonia Bay. The beauty of the position of this hotel is the walking in either direction is made along the beach front. I should imagine in high season it would be a very different story judging by the number of hotels in the vincinity

Hotel Arenal: classed as a three star hotel and well deserved. The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage. as one person mentioned earlier, there are no tea making facilities in the room and no fridge to store milk. So take a kettle, stock up on the little long life milks from cafes before you go and "borrow" a cup from the restraunt I washed mine up and hid it as the cleaners are quite thorough and removed my first cup. The sea view rooms are wonderful. You can sit and watch the little boats and also the ferries chugging into the harbour nearby. At night you can hear the waves crashing on the shore as you are so close.
Meals: if you are not a fussy eater the food is more than adequate. The breakfast selection includes: croissants, brioche, rolls, toast, dried fruit, cereal, yogurt, doughnuts, something cooked like bacon or sausages. cold meat and cheese and teas coffees and fruit juice. Not many cooked vegetables to be seen in the evenings but a very good choice of salads and desserts. The dining room is quite cramped and again I should imagine that in the height of the season it would get extremely busy with long queues. One word of warning, if you have young children or like to eat early you may be disappointed to know that evening meals are served from 7.30pm

There are two swimming pools and two sunbathing areas. One pool is indoors and heated in Octber and May. It was like getting into a very warm bath! Only one brave soul attempted the oputdoor pool in October. The sun loungers all have cushions. The back of the hotel faces the sea and has just a paved promenade separating the beach from the sunbathing lawns.
The staff are variable as you would expect anywhere but I could not fault anyone when it came to an emergency. They were second to none. Even the restraunt manager who rarely smiled was very accomodating

This was a lovely hotel in an absolutely lovely position, right on the beach the view every morning was breathtaking......We visited the Arenal mid september and it was still quite warm in the resort.

The staff are more than helpful, rooms are clean and tidy and the overall feel of the hotel is very welcoming.

Food here is mediocre........basic .....but the dining room staff are really nice and cater to your every whim.

I would definately visit this hotel again if only for the beautiful view......anyone booking this hotel ..ask for a sea view as otherwise you may get a room on the other side of the hotel ...facing the road.

Walked in the front door at 3 in the morning and it looked impressive compared to others around it, with a friendly face to greet us.

The room was clean, big and a great view but with old looking basic decor.

The food, although seemed loads to choose from, was not to our taste, we had half board for 10 days but we only ate 1 meal and 3 breakfasts mainly croissants, as, the English breakfast for example, the sausages were weird little tasting things.

Facilities were not as stated unless you kept coughing up more cash e.g. TV, kettle, safe, which I thought should be basic items included, gym was never open.

Great location for that side of Ibiza but I was glad to go by the end of the holiday as the main clubs are by the hotel and shouting until 6 in the morning wears you down, the noise level at night is the worst thing about this hotel.

Had a tiff with one of the normally friendly receptionists as he got ratty with us because we didn't wait in the exact spot for a taxi he had called, I put it down to the Spanish temper but gave him a bit of British attitude back, he was ok later about it. TAXI is a swear word in Ibiza why don't they get more, I waited at the airport taxi rank 3 hours when we arrived.

The only problem is, I don't think I could find much better in the area so I would recommend it, but go self catering and prepare to pay extras.
