after a long and tiring journey we were greeted by our holiday rep, to be informed that our room at the deluxe blue bays hotel was not available. therefore we had to spend four nights at the standard blue bay hotel when we had paid for five star accomadation. bearing in mind we were only staying for one week so had only two nights in the deluxe blue bays hotel.

this caused us most inconvience as we had to pack and unpack our suitcases a number of times, causing unwanted stress and frustration. Both rooms we had were very poor. for example there was very little space for three people to share the one room and very little wardrobe space, resulting in us living out of our suticases all holiday.

the food was was not what you would call five star quality resulting in us chosing to eat out in the resort most evenings.

the entertainment was catered for the large group of russians that were staying at the hotel. most of the music was in russian and we couldnt understand it. however the hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, there was never a problem with any of the staff they all work extremly hard.

overall the best thing we liked about the blue bays deluxe was the spa treatments which were well worth the extra money. also the turkish baths were excellent i would fully recommend them.

When we arrived we were very impressed with the hotel, it looked exactly as it does on the internet which was a relief.

We checked in with no problems and was even upgraded as we were on our honeymoon!

The reception staff seemed nice but didn't speak good english, which I suppose could be frustrating if you had a problem.

The food was good, concidering they have to cater for all cultures, they have chips on every night which i suppose would be good for children.

The hotel and pool area was very clean.

The entertainment team were good too, they played good tunes whilst we laid by the pool, they did play he music loud but we liked that, but older couples may not like that.

There was lots of Russian guests staying which were very rude and would push to the front in the restaurant. No manners at all!

But to sum up we had a great, relaxing time at blue bays and met some great english guests, we would defo come again.

Thankyou

Firstly, take a towel for the sunloungers. The hotel wants to charge £8 a week to hire one! All the other all inclusive hotels we have been to provide them free. There are no facilities for making a drink in your room either, take a travel kettle if you like a cuppa when you wake up. The rooms are adequate for 2 but they would be very cramped for three, I assume they would take out the chair and table to get a 3rd bed in.

The hotel is very clean and staff very friendly. Don't expect good views from all the rooms, we were lucky and got a sea view but looking down to the right we overlooked a block which bar staff from the local bars lived in and they were not afraid to walk round with the 'curtains' open. They were living in hovels with rubbish thrown over their balconies onto the yards below. Not a pretty sight in anyones book.

The pool area was kept very clean but it is quite small so do what everyone else does and grab a bed before 8.00am.

The food was adequate but chips were served every night and the meat was limited to chicken in some form or another with occasional meatballs. There was also a pasta dish most nights. Salad choice was quite good thought. Breakfast was the same every day. If you were here for 2 weeks I think you would get to hate the food here.

Entertainment takes place next door at the Blue Bays Hotel. The sushi bar was not included in the all inclusive package and drinks here had to be paid for. The Al a Carte restaurant was never mentioned by anyone although in their website it says both of these are available as part of the package.

The beach was only a 2minute walk away with free sunbeds but no facilites for getting a drink or snacks.

We won't be back, but our week was relaxing - the animation team did not start until the end of our stay but were not pushy and were friendly enough. They liked to talk to you to learn English.

All in all a good week, but Marmaris is not for us bu the old town is lovely. Visit it for a totally different view of what this resort is all about.

This is possibly the best holiday I have EVER had! Apart from sleeping on the sofa the rooms were very clean.

The food could have been improved as it did not have mant different varieties each night. There is one thing i would like to note: There were chickens playing musical instruments on display and were left there for 2 days! Salmonella city, that's what i would call it!

Anyway, the Pol-Kar entertainment team are the best ever! They are so kind and its such a good job to be able to socialise with other people. They are lovely and i am coming back in the summer! One entertainer in particular was always saying at breakfast 'enjoy your meal' it sounded so sweet! The team are always happy to give you a hug when you are leaving and i am missing them greatly...

I would reccommend this hotel to everyone!

My sister, nephew and I arrived at this hotel at 4am, absolutely exhausted, only to be told that there were no spare rooms and that we would have to wait until 2pm for our room! OR surprise surprise, we could stay next door in their sister hotel- the 3* Blue Bays. We were adamant that we had paid to stay in 5* accomodation and we would wait until a room became free.
The male receptionist treated this matter like it was a big joke and him and a male colleague were actually laughing and smirking! He then asked if we wanted to stay in the TV room until a room became available (to keep us hidden no doubt). I told him that we would set up camp in the main reception area so that all the other guests could see the disgraceful way we were being treated.
To his credit though, the receptionist did offer us breakfast at 7:30am but this was the least he could do really as we had already paid for a week long stay on an AI basis.
At 9am, 2 other guests arrived at the hotel. Again, there was no room available for them. What really wound us up though was when the female receptionist told them that a room would be ready for them in 20 mins. Never mind the fact that we had been waiting a mere 5 hours and my 6 year old nephew was left to sleep on the sofa- hardly 5* is it?!!!
After yet more complaining, we finally had our room at 10:30 and we were given a free upgrade to the junior suite to make up for the inconvenience. I should think so too!
Anyway, the room itself was nice and clean and spacious and the view from the balcony was great. The room also had a decent sized fridge and a TV (only 1 or 2 English channels though). The room did have air-con which worked absolutely fine on our 1st day, but then it wasn't very effective after then. We spoke to other guests who said the same thing had happened to them. I think the settings on the air-con were prob changed to save electric!
Before booking this hotel, I was led to believe that this hotel was on the beachfront. In actual fact, it is a few mins walk along a dirt track. Still, at least you're not stuck in the middle of nowhere having to rely on the dolmuses.
What we did notice was that there were absolutely loads of Russians staying at this hotel and they were the main culprits who put their towels on the sunloungers before the crack of dawn. (We witnessed this when we were waiting for our room. A group of them got up at 5:30am and then proceeded to put their towels down- unbelievable!) The hotel has got notices displayed, which says that people aren't allowed to put towels on sunloungers until after 9am, or staff will remove them. These notices had no effect whatsoever. This resulted in us 3 not even spending 1 day at the hotel due to there being no free sunbeds. This was at 7:30am!!!
The food was ok, not really 5* standard though. Sometimes, we would have some weird food combinations on our plates as this was the only food we liked!
I think that the glasses used behind the bar were far too small. Oh yeah, and there was an unsolved mystery at the pool bar... Whenever we ordered Sprite, it tasted like Dandelion and Burdock- weird!
The staff were really friendly, some overly-friendly though! One or two kept trying to invite themselves out with us in the nights, asking us what bars we were going to, and then asking us to meet them at a certain time. We would have to keep telling them we didn't know where we were going to be. When we saw the waiters the next day, they would demand to know why we didn't meet them- take the hint!
As well as the hassle on the streets to book diff trips, one of the waiters would pester us morning noon and night when we were trying to eat. He wanted us to book a boat trip with his friend, and would proceed to show us the photo album of the trip every single day. Honestly, we couldn't even eat in peace!
As we had a 6 yr old with us, we were keen to see what the kids club would be like. We chose not to bother with this when one of the other guests told us that the kids club was held in one room and is apparantly quite a walk from the pool area.I found this quite odd- what child wants to be kept in a room when it is so hot outside? Other hotels we have stayed at in Turkey who have kids club do outdoor activities eg mini-golf, pool games etc.
I can't really comment on the entertainment night or day, as we didn't spend much time here.
In the daytime, we went to the waterpark a few times. We would never pay the asking price though, which was 25 lira each (approx £10). Normally, we paid 15 lira each for my sister and myself, and my nephew went in free.
We also went on a few boat trips, which were great value- £10 each for my sister and myself and again my nephew went free. This was on an AI basis, so drinks were free all day and we all had a lovely lunch too!
The place that we went to book these trips was a stall on a side-street round the corner from Gima Supermarket, and I would def recommend booking all your trips here to get the best price.
We found the best place for entertainment was called Robinsons which was on the beachfront. The entertainment was fantastic and the breakdancers 'People on the Move' were the best I have seen anywhere!
In my opinion, this hotel was a waste of money. Ok, it looks nice but that's about it. We should have just gone self-catering. Next time we return to Marmaris, we def will. There are just so many nice places to eat and they aren't expensive at all.

Upon arrival at the hotel we were told they had received our booking late and therefore did not have a room for us .They could put is in their sister hotel which is also the Blue Bays Hotel but not deluxe. They would move us at 12 or 1300hrs the next day.

We had read reviews that warned of this so we were adamant about not accepting this as our booking had been accepted as far as we were concerned. We were told we could speak to a rep that was at present speaking to some other guests. We waited at reception and spoke to her and explained that as our booking had been accepted we were not prepared to accept the compensation of a £10 safe for 3* accommodation when we had paid for 5* .We pointed out that due to our flight times we were already paying for a nights stay that we wouldn’t use and as it was then 10pm at night our weeks stay was being disrupted enough without having to change rooms. She spoke to the reception staff and a room was found for us and the comment made that someone else would now have the same problem the day after. We saw several people over our short stay being moved from one hotel to the other mid morning curious isn’t it?

The room although nice was not deluxe in our opinion. TV had no remote and only 2 English speaking channels one of which was news. No tea or coffees making facilities, also a fridge with no contents not even a small bottle of water. Two narrow wardrobes one with hangers, no drawers at all. The only table was a small round coffee table. Not what I would describe as 5 star facilities.

The food at the hotel was ok, again not 5* but ok. No bottled water available except from outside the hotel.

The pool was clean and ok for size except that there were not enough sun beds for the guests. Chemicals were added to the pool filtration system twice a day whilst patrons were still swimming we have never seen that elsewhere at all. There is very little shade available and not enough parasols for one between two beds this is also unacceptable. Towels were not provided for guests free but were available for 2 lire a day rental.

As not everyone was all inclusive and only they wore bands it was difficult to tell where the patrons were from. As we did not see a large proportion of them use the dining room at any time they could be half board or from another hotel. As they had to pay for drinks that could be why they were not discouraged.

The staff at the Pool Bar also enjoyed very loud booming music but unfortunately only three songs seemed to be available and as they were in Turkish I don’t think they were for the predominantly English guests. When asked to reduce the volume this was done for about 10 mins, and then increased to disco level. The staff seemed to be surprised that the guests were not enjoying the music.

The other bone of contention for us was no cocktails on the All Inclusive menu. We are not connoisseurs and don’t care if cocktails are made with local spirits but no, cocktail’s were “extra”. We tried to order white rum, lemonade and pineapple. (Poor mans Pina-colada)No pineapple was extra, is that an import? The bar staff would also finish their personal conversations either to other bar staff or on mobiles before deigning to serve us the paying guests,

We paid approx £1200 for seven nights including flights and taxes to stay in what was billed as 5* luxury we would rate it at 3.5 possibly 4 but definitely not 5.

We paid for all inclusive to remove the need to shop for anything and did not expect to have to go outside the hotel for bottled water .There was water available but by the glass.

arrived at the hotel and was intitally very impressed. i had booked a twin room and a suite, and was very happy to learn that i had actually been allocated the grand suite!!
the reality wasn't lng setting in. the food was diabolical. we were there for 2 weeks and only ate in the restaurant 3 time, and 2 of those were breakfast.
the food was either gone off or raw!! i was so disgusted that i complained to the Rep who said that she was aware of the problem and that it was an ongoing issue with the hotel.
the staff were also rude and very inappropriate towards young girls. i had my 16 yr old and 21 yr old sisters with me, and had to threaten the waiters on several occasions. i was also very put off by the number of russians at the hotel, and the resort as a whole. the majority of whom were prostituting themselves. they were very ignorant and i was not happy about the way they behaved in front of my 2 yr old daughter - which i quickly informed them!!
i have been to Marmaris on may occasions, and i think i can honestly say that i wont be back. there is no way that this hotel is 4* and certainly not work going all inclusive.
on a more positive note the turkish baths in the hotel are amazing!! they are definately worth paying the extra money. Mehmet from the baths is a little darling and will go out of his way to help.
So DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, BUT VISIT THE TURKISH BATHS!!

What can i say, well having being mislead and told over teletext it was 5*, well what a huge disappointment we had. On arrival we realised straight away it was a 3*, unlike the rep who suggests its 4*.

We had an awful start the receptionist kept looking at our booking and told us to take a seat, then a good 15mins later a bell boy who couldnt speak english motioned for us to follow. We followed him with all our baggage through a pool area, up and down a set of stairs, through a gate another pool area and up another flight of stairs to another reception, and was greeted with "oh would you like a room for the night".
After explaining we should be in the deluxe hotel she said it was fully booked and that we had to stay there.
We were shown our room, which was absolutely awful. My husband and I have travelled for many years in 5* hotels and all inc and know what to expect. The corridors were full of beer glasses and my husband slipped on a glass plate, and the room, well it was shabby, the fridge rusty, the cupboards had stains, it smelt and the door handle was missing from the patio door leaving a gap, and the view, well it was looking onto a concrete building which was ready to be pulled down.

We refused to stay and meraculously we were found two rooms in the deluxe, which were nice. we were really fed up by now having had to drag our cases all the way back.

The food was very basic, one choice of meat and one of fish and plenty of salad, but became boring, the same every day. The bars were constantly running out of ice and local drinks.

Loud music blared away each day (Rap music), no peace. The staff well some were lovely but there were some who were awful. Serving others in the restaraunt for drinks and when they cant be bothered telling you no its self service get your own.

Also when my first visit to the bar the barman put his hands in my bikini top wanting to know what number I was. Also at the pool bar, I asked the barman for a glass instead of the awful plastic beakers, as I was sitting at the bar and not the pool, he said no, and then served the next couple straight with glasses. Some of them are just there to wind you up.

This was an awful hotel, great if you have never experienced luxury before. I would say it would make a great 18 to 30`s holiday, nothing more.

Also no entertainment and no snack bar.
But plenty of prostitutes shown up to rooms.

On arrival at the blue bays deluxe hotel we were all impressed with the fancy lighting and glass lifts etc..it really is modern and lovely. We were given two rooms, one was the standard double room and the other a family room which was much bigger.

The double room was quite small, but clean and modern and all you really need for two people I suppose. The family room had a living room area and separate bedroom and was also clean and tidy and a great size. Both were on the top floor (5th) and so the view from the balcony wasn't brilliant, but it isn't good from any room really, as the hotel is just surrounded by other hotels.

It was tea time at the hotel when we arrived so we went down to the main restaurant and took one look and walked back out again - lots of salad etc but not much choice of hot food. However through the week we did eat quite a few meals at the hotel and some of it was quite nice, there is usually around 4 things to choose from as well as chips and soup and a lot of salad.

Breakfast is okay but dont expect a full English as its not! The food was not what we expected at all really, so we ate out most of the time but its okay, and we are all fussy eaters.

With your all inclusive wrist band you can only get certain drinks, like vodka, gin, brandy, larger, etc but no imports - all of these have to be paid for!

And all inclusive stops at 11.30 so you pay for everything after this. You can use the gym which is good and the steam and sauna room with the band, but you have to pay for Turkish bath and massages etc..and although u can use the indoor pool you have to pay to go in the jacuzzi!

The location of the hotel is okay, at first it seemed rubbish but when you realise where everything is, its actually really good, because its close enough to everywhere.

For nightlife I would recommend Long beach rather than bar street as bar street is so expensive for drinks and full of locals rather than people on holiday. Although there are some great clubs there!

Long beach is very close to the hotel and along the beach (about a 5 min walk). You can find some good entertainment down there for kids in the bars but there are also plenty of clubs.

We done 3 trips out - the quad safari, jeep safari and dalyan boat trip to the mud baths/turtle beach. All were good value for money and excellent days out so would recommend them!!

We also went to Atlantis water park which is about a 3 min walk from the hotel and this was good, a change from the hotel pool and there are some good slides there although it is quite a small water park compared to others we've been to.

Overall I think the blue bays deluxe is a good hotel its clean and modern with a good location but I wouldn't recommend going all inclusive there as it would be hard to get your money's worth unless you are going to drink a lot of vodka, larger etc and eat the food. We got a cheap last minute deal that worked out cheaper than a self catering holiday so we were not bothered about spending money going out to eat, etc. But if you paid full price I feel you would be disappointed.

Had a great holiday apart from us all getting food poisoning on the last day and having to fly home with it (not sure if this was from the hotel food or food on the boat trip so I won't blame anyone!). If you are going the blue bays deluxe you will have a great time! Its a nice hotel to stay in. We wont be going back to marmaris as it is expensive now to eat out and for drinks, etc..but maybe this is because we have been to Bulgaria 3 times in the past 2 years and there it is so cheap in comparison!

We were a group of four adults and a two year old child. We booked two rooms, one of which we paid extra for a room with a sea view.

We stayed at this hotel for one week from 14th to 21st May 2007.We arrived at this hotel via a transfer shuttle bus from Dalaman airport with a company called Youtravel.com.

As there were a number of people signing in at the reception at same time it was quite chaotic so we just went with the flow, filled out the relevant forms and allowed the porters to carry some of our cases to our rooms.

We were taken on what seemed like a marathon hike around the hotel complex having to drag our heavy cases up and down stair cases walking around the edges of swimming pools and through the middle of sun bathers which we thought was really odd but we carried on dragging our bags regardless.

Alarm bells started to ring when we rushed through another hotel reception area. The porters couldn’t wait to get us up the lift and out of the way.

Thankfully there were other guests waiting for the lift and we asked them if we were in the Blue Bays DELUXE and they replied “NO you’re in the Blue Bays and NOT the Blue Bays DELUXE”

On realising this my daughter I and tried to communicate to the porters we were in the wrong hotel but they were ignoring everything we were saying, pretending they didn’t know what we were on about and were just intent on getting us in the lift and out of the way of other guests.

My daughter and I were adamant we were not going in the lift and asked them to bring out cases back to the reception but they wouldn’t let go of them and in the end we had to ask other guests to to snatch the bags away from them and bring them around to the reception.

The receptionist wasn’t very helpful and again tried to get us to our room but when she realised we weren’t going to be a pushover she got on the telephone and made a call somewhere.

She then asked us to go over to the other side of the reception into the bar no doubt to get us out of the way so that we didn’t warn other guests being treated the same way.

She said the manager wanted to see us and that we were to wait to see him. She again made another phone call, no doubt to tell who ever that we weren’t going to comply quietly and on her return to us she said that we were to go back to the Blue Bays Deluxe hotel.

We were once again frog marched up and down steps, weaving in and out of sun bathers dragging and carrying heavy suitcases, by this time our two year old grandson was screaming with frustration and we just wanted this nightmare to end.

We arrived back at the Blue Bays Deluxe reception where upon we were magically offered a choice of three rooms but no matter how many times we told them that we had paid for a sea view they would not listen they just wanted us out of the reception area so as to not make other guests aware of what was going on.

In the end we were so mentally and physically exhausted and so glad to be in the hotel that we had booked, we accepted the rooms.

I have stayed in many hotels around the world but I have never ever come across such ignorant receptionists as those at this hotel.

The rooms were quite nice, reasonably clean and modern. They aren’t huge but big enough to not have to climb over each other.

If you are in need of a cot please be aware they are not cots as we know them in the UK, they are hard to describe as I have never seen anything like it before. They very low and my two year old grandson thought it was great fun scaling the sides as soon as he woke up.

The next day we attended the meeting with the You travel rep. It transpired that we weren’t the only guests to have been treated in this way.

The room was full of unhappy discontented guests, all of whom had been treated the same way as us except they hadn’t caused a fuss like we did and they were still at the Blue Bays hotel all of which were up on the 7th floor.

One couple which did cause a fuss in the meeting were called out of the room by the rep and were given a free spa treatment by the manager just to shut them up. It seemed the reason for all the upset was because of over booking by the hotel.

The “you travel” rep wasn’t interested in our problems or anyone else’s her main aim of the meeting was to get bookings for the day trips and to get out of there as quick as possible just so she didn’t have to listen to the grievances of the guests.

As other reviews have stated the food really is dire. We had one good dinner which we all enjoyed but other than that it was the same thing every day.

I do realise that as this is a Muslim country that we could not expect pork but to have turkey every single day is taking the Mickey. Meals described as Beef goulash and lamb stew were not beef or lamb, it was ‘TURKEY’. In fact every thing was turkey in disguise. By the 4th day we had had enough of different variants of turkey and ate out. The only good thing I can compliment the restaurant for are the waiters.

They are the loveliest of people. Nothing is too much for them. They always have a welcoming smile and they treat children like little VIP’s. Be prepared to sweat when you use the restaurant as the air conditioning is rationed, when I asked for it to be put on first thing in the morning I was told that the manager doesn’t allow it before 8.30am.

If you want a really tasty meal then I can recommend the Friends Bar over the road from the hotel. The staff are lovely and will do everything to make you welcome.

The so called private beach available to the guests of this hotel is reached by a dusty track through what seems like waste ground. The hotel guests have a narrow strip of beach which has free sun beds available to those staying at Blue Bays.

The so called sand is a real disappointment as it is not sand it is grit; our 2 year old grandchild was so disappointed as we had promised him he could dig and make sand castles. It depends on which hotel you stay at as to what quality of sand you have as each strip of beach has different qualities of sand.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel and I feel sorry for those who have already booked to go, as it is probably to late to cancel, however please please do not let them treat you like they tried to treat us and if you find the porters taking you out of the hotel and past sun bathers then they are taking you to the Blue Bays and you are not getting what you paid for.

I could go on and on about this hotel but if you go you will be able to fill in the blanks yourself. Good luck!!!!

When I walked into the hotel I was amazed. The glass lifts and the lighting at night make the hotel stunning. The rooms arent large but they have everything you need. I even got to watch Eastenders on sky.

The pool was very luxurious and the bar staff helpful. The food was as expected- continental. I had eggs and jams and cereals and fruit for breakfast. I had a choice of rices and salads and meats or pizzas and chips at lunch time. And dinner whilst not the biggest variety in the world I am happy to say mixed Turkish cuisine with international.

I do not travel to eat like I do at home so this was refreshing. The animation team were a let down. They had two good nights on a week the rest were poor. THe night club was empty so had no atmosphere- tourists should use it.

Holiday from hell!!! How dare they call this a 4* deluxe hotel!! I've stayed in better 1* hotels!! If it wasn't for my family being there we would have been back on that plane in a flash!

We got a very unfriendly welcome when arriving at the hotel, to make things worse they messed the rooms up we had booked.

The food was enough to make anybody ill I threw up twice from eating it. The staff were very arrogant and didn't seem like they were there to cater for us yet to just be rude and laugh at us!

I can't comment on entertainment as there was none so anyone planning on going to this hotel think again!

I think first choice should take some blame for publishing all the great stuff about it that doesn't even exist!!

Big dissappoinment for a lot of money!

Gorgeous hotel shame about everything else.

The food was disgusting it was the same food every day that I wouldn't even feed my cat! This forced us to eat out every day.

The staff were rude, very unco-operative and definatley lacked people skills!

Its location is perfect just across from the beach and bars which is handy as no entertainment was provided throughout the stay yet first choice advertise 'daily entertainment'and the on site night club was the biggest joke out!

It was a little room with no bar just a DJ box which was only open from midnight to 1ish! The bar was a big dissapointment by closing at 11.30pm yet again first choice advertise a 2am close and if you are in a group you have to get your drinks yourself you can't fetch drinks for each other!

I could write all day about this place but I can't be bothered because it winds me up!!

The hotel to look at is very beautiful and posh well so it should for a 5*. We went all inclusive for 2 weeks and after a couple of days the food gets very boring and repetative.

I am a vegetarian which gave me a great option salad and bread mmmmmmm yummy, the restaurant staff and reception staff were great really helpful, but the bar staff were a nightmare, because we were in a group of 18 they would only let us have one drink each and in the brochure it said unlimited drinks this was clearly not the case.

They were always checking your room number everytime you ordered a drink even though we all had all inclusive bands on and they would come round and count how many beers you had on the table, it just felt like we were being watched all the time, there attitude was awful.

Entertainment well that was non existent, they played the same cd at the bar 24/7.
When the bar closes at 11pm even if there are people still finshing drinks or just talking they turned off all the lights which was dangerous as my Mum found out, she could not see the step fell and broke her ankle, so she was in a wheelchair for a week and a half.

You can not fault the location of the hotel its close to the beach, shops and lots of bars and restaurants so there was always somewhere to go to escape.

We did have a good holiday but I would not go back to this hotel if you paid me to!!!!!

The hotel was beautiful and very clean, the food was awful Ive never had chicken and rice every day for 2weeks before!!

The restaurant staff were great as were the reception staff, it was only the bar staff that had terrible manners.

Its location is perfect so you can go and find entertainment round the corner..a good job because the hotel doesn't provide any! although it states on the notice board and in the brochure entertainment every night!

I would recommend the hotel to anyone but certainly not if you are looking for all inclusive you get treat like dirt.

We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel as we had been led to believe we were going to a disaster area and this was not the case.

This is a modern hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff who were always welcoming and happy to stop and chat.

We had no problems with the cleanliness of rooms with maid service every day- both cleaning and replenishing stocks.
I would endorse the comments about over-hearing in the
bathrooms but we were lucky in that our group had adjoining rooms so it was less of an issue than if you don't know your neighbours.

The breakfast situation appears to be sorted now with a reasonable choice available and the toaster issue has been sorted out and it was working all through our stay - it is true there are three settings and the staff tend to turn it back to 1 when it is not in active use but it is not a problem to turn it back up if you want your toast browner.

Although I always found an option at mealtimes that I was happy to eat I would agree that it was a bit uninspired - however it was nowhere near dull enough for us to abandon and eat out. It seemed to me that the guests who were not interested in the midday meal choices simply ate a little later when a pile of chips and pizza was presented to cater for the snack market.

Sunbeds did become an issue with tempers fraying between a group who simply took over beds that were in use. I too think that this was due to people from the sister hotel walking through and taking beds at the "nicer" pool. A constructive suggestion would be staff doing checks on room numbers of people using the beds as well as when they request drinks. Staff did bring in extra sunbeds during our stay but anyone who preffered not to arrive until after 10:00 would struggle to get a sunbed.

The entertainment was generally poor - I had always thought that belly dancers were supposed to be female. However with the nighlight of the beachfront only a few minutes walk away this was of little consequence to us.

One tip I would give to imminent visitors is that if you intend to use the holiday company to book your day trips with - take UK £££. You will pay extra if you try and pay in the local currency. Alternatively, we booked a jeep safari from the beachfront and had a brilliant day of water fights and sight seeing for a fraction of the hotel price - it's your choice.

We arrived at the hotel at about 0600 after an over nighter from Manchester. If you can avoid a late flight then choose an early one as check out is 1200 and our transport to the airport was 2330. It can be a nightmare if you can't get a late check out. We did and it cost £20 until midnight. They tried to tell us that our all inclusive finished at 1200 but if you put up a fight then you can have it till you depart.

The hotel itself was clean along with the rooms. The hotel I found to be quite dark inside and all the rooms laid out in a square with 2 elevators taking you to the various floors.

The food was boring with poor choices in all sitings. If you love salad then no problem. There was a choice of 3 hot foods and salad which we found very repetitive. Breakfast was more continental style and so a lot of people ended going out for a full English breakfast for about £2.

The location was about a hundred or so meters from the beach and a short walk into the centre. If you stood by the pool and turned 360 degrees you could not see through the tightly packed hotels that surrounded the hotel. A good position if you want to be in the thick of it all.

I found the hotel staff to be very helpful and friendly. Service at the bar was good and you didn't have to wait long to get served although I did notice that paying customers came first and then AI.

Entertainment was very poor and a few of us looked at each other with disbelief as we thought they were having a joke.

The facilities were good with nice pool and good sun loungers. Get your towel down early as they go very quick. Some people from the other side Blue Bay Hotel and Apartments just walk straight in with nobody stopping them and start taking the pool over which I thought was naff as we had paid more for our hotel and facilities. Who can blame them if no one controls entry.

Get your trips outside hotel don't use reps.
Go on lazy boat trip it's a lovely day out but put any drinks you take into a backpack as some people had their water taken off them before they got on the boat.

The hotel was probably a 3 star and I certainly will not be going back.

We visited this hotel expecting a 4* Deluxe, first impressions of the hotel was impressive nice and modern to look at. The room was very nice (small) but good enough. One critism with the room was the bathroom, it was very nice and morden but I was a bit shock to how clearly you can hear the person next door, you can actually hear every little thing.

There was no real entertainment during my stay and the night club which is advertised in the brochure does not excist.

The biggest complaint of all was the food it really was of very poor standard no choice what so ever, every day the same selection and the food which was being served was just so tasteless.

The staff was nice and helpful and the hotel was very clean. The location was the best thing about this hotel.

I would not visited this hotel again.

We were transferred from the Pegasus Palace to this hotel. The staff could not have helped more if they tried. We were given a family room which was large and spacious and also had a separate double room so we had some privacy from the kids.

The hotel itself is really nice but could do with the bedrooms bring re-papered.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and always on hand the only grip we had was the food and the asking of your room number every time you got a drink.

The food was disgusting for breakfast it was egg, egg or egg. We didn’t eat at dinner time but tea time was no better.

We had no problems getting a sun bed any time of the day although the Dutch seem to hog the beds and put the towels on them the night before but they seemed to stop when they found their towels in the bottom of the pool every morning.

The entertainment was very limited but the staff did there best, we went to the sister hotel with the kids has they had more on there for them.

The hotel is in a brilliant location and we couldn’t ask for better we would definitely go back to this hotel but only on a bed and breakfast basis.

Trips to go on are the Jeep Safari which was excellent and you can drive yourself is you ask. The horse safari was brill and the dune buggies, we went to Turtle island which was ok but the boat trip there is two and half hours long. The beach is great but you only got 45 mins there before you were off to the mud baths which is great fun but you don’t have enough time to let the mud dry.

We have just come back from our holiday in Marmaris which was fantastic! Accept for our accomodation The Blue Bay Deluxe Spa Hotel. This hotel is rated 4* I would be inclined to disagree giving a more realistic 2*. We stayed on a half board basis. On first impressions the hotel was very modern with the glass lifts and fancy lights we thought we had struck gold. Our room was rather small but as you dont spend to much time in there it wasnt worth the worry. We had an amazing balacony. A couple of chairs and a table would of been nice to soak up the atmosphere. For a 4* hotel you would expect those at least. Our first night and we ate in the restaurant I was gob smacked at the lack of choice and what was there was cold and to be quite frank I would not have given it to my own cat. We decided to eat out - which was the best thing we found an amazing indian on the main road!! Breakfasts was entertaining? If you liked eggs, eggs or tomotoes with little bits of cheese you where made up but every day for 14 was taking the mick. We received a toaster half way through our holiday but the chefs kept coming over and turning the toaster off!

The staff where appaling, we have travelled to many holiday destinations and have found staff to be friendly at all times. Not at the Blue Bay Deluxe. Staff were arrogant and rude, the waiting staff in the restaurant was intemerdating and rather intrusive and would sweep your plate away while you were chewing your last mouth full. Asking for drinks seemed a chore to them! On a rather hotter than usual day we decided to give the pool a miss (get down there early or you will not get a bed) we thought we would have a game of table tennis. We asked at reception if we could have the bats and ball and she said because we were half board we had to pay 2 Lira. A bit unfair as there is no mention of a local charge in the first choice brochure. We decided to pay only to find the bats had gone missing and the receptionist had no intest in finding them for us. Next day both the table tennis table and the snooker table has gone for good!

For your own health do not go in the jacussi in the gym we got in to find the water was stagnant and it smelt vile! The indoor pool area was not completed so be aware of the building material lying around!

The hotel is mainly aimed for the dutch and russians not very english friendly. We highly recommend Marmaris but with regret not the Blue Bay Deluxe.

This is not a 4 star hotel.

No roof bar.
No night club.
Had no internet.
No gift shop.
Could not use pool bar during a circumcision party for turkish familiy.
You also could not use the pool table and table tennis.
The rep was useless (just there to take your money for excursions)cheaper on front.
The food was very poor, we ate out every day.
One meat lots of salad.
Do you want to eat like a rabbit!!!
No entertaintment.
Try to find there beach bar if your all inclusive
you got to walk back half a mile for your free drinks and food.
The Dutch and Russians are so loud
they were checking out at 6.30 am and were shouting in foyer
wife went out to tell them people are trying to sleep
they carried on.
Went down to dinner, there were 4 of us and could not get a table, couples were seated around a table for 6 people
were told to sit with them.
Would you sit with Russians!
This hotel is a year old looks more like 5.

The worst point about this hotel is the very unappetizing food that was on offer. Having been to Turkey before, the standard of food in all the restaurants/bars is of a very high standard. So we were expecting the food in this 4* hotel to be decent. It was not.

Out of the whole two weeks, we ate there only 5 times - this included 3 breakfasts. The rest of the time, we ate out at the superb restaurants along the beach front but as we were half board this was an added expense on the holiday.

For breakfast, you could expect to have egg, egg or egg and a bit of stale bread or cereal or ham! We stuck to sugar puffs! It may have been a little better if they'd had a toaster. The evening was just as good, although I could not describe exactly what it was they were serving!

The hotel restaurant did not have a designated smoking area so if you are a non smoker like we are, you have to put up with the smoke as well as the poor food.

The rooms are a bit small but were cleaned everyday and also had air conditioning. The walls are also very thin.

The pool was packed everyday and if you did not claim a sun bed before 8.30am, you'd be lucky to get one.

I would say this hotel is more like a 2 to 3 star.

Pool so deep in both ends that one of the adults was unable to stand in the water, childs pool unacceptable in size, location and cleanliness.

Entertainment was in sister hotel with limited space and very poor quality.

Rooms were the smallest we have ever stayed in and the toilet door was within arms length of the bed! (Unhygienic?)

Food unacceptable for children and only just palatable on a few occassions for the adults. NO TOASTER FOR BREAKFAST.

Snacks not available for all inclusive guests as advertised and packed lunch for day out was refused by hotel.

We had booked to go to this hotel in 2004 but it was cancelled at the last minute so we thought that we would go this year. While in Marmaris last year we visted the hotel before completion and was showed round we were impressed with what they had to offer.

Upon visiting the hotel this year the hotel was well worn it looked like it had been open for years the carpets were heavely stained and dirty, they didnt fit correctly, walls and wall paper were damaged, dining chairs looked second hand and years old they were very dirty.

Our room was very small not at all like we had been shown the previous year, the so called cleaner never hoovered or swept the floor in the whole fortnight,we had put some sweet papers on the floor to see if she had cleaned but they remained there. The bathroom towles were replaced but had a very fusty smell as if they hadnt been washed they were dark coloured so we were unable to tell if they had. The bathroom floor was tiled but very dirty and badly stained, they were never washed in the fortnight we were there, the bath had deep scratches in which was holding the dirt. They room stated mini bar but there wasn't anything in it. We had to go and ask on one occasion for the room to be cleaned.

The bed linen had tears and rips in.

The staff were very ignorant there was insufficient seating for guests in the dining room. We were seated on one evening and were rudely told that we were unable to sit there now because somebody else needed that table.

The meals were of very poor standard and not fit to eat i am surprised that there has not been a outbreak of food poisoning, it was nearly the same type of meal nearly every evening. I complained to the rep about the meals and was informed by the Rep that this was Turkish food i have visited Marmaris many times now and i havent had food like it. Fresh fruit wasnt fit to eat it wasn't just bruised it was actualy rotten. I had a cup of coffee and i nearly choked on it there was a strip of plastic in my drink. We had to eat out most mornings and evenings because the food was so poor.

There was no entertainment or shops whatsoever.

The steps leading to the hotel were very dangerous when wet there were insufficient hand rails to help you up.

We do not feel that this hotel is worth a 4* in our opinion a 1 star would be to much.

The hotel manager was never on duty when you wanted to complain you was told to go back again and again.

There were many guest that complained to the Rep and had to spend extra money to get better quality food. The rep was unhelpful and she had to many complaints to handle she was more for the hotel than the paying guests.

I will be taking this matter up with the Tour Operator.

It is nothing at all like the brochure stated you had to pay 4 more things that you got inclusive the food was really poor and we spent most time eating out at our expence.

Entertainment was non existent in the hotel, the nightclub was only open 1 night in the 2 weeks that we stayed there, it said in brochure that it had own beach but after walking a while to find it eventually we got there to find didn't have its own bar so still had to pay for drinks there as the beach was so far away from the hotel.

All inclusive mini bar in hotel only had 1 bottle of water in it through all the holiday which we found was very poor. a
Also the food was really poor and there was no choice. The food was only aired which consisted of only 4 tureens to cater for the whole hotel. I wouldnt give the hotel a 1 star, we have had 2 all inclucive hotels in side and 1 in mexico and 1 in bulgaria and was very pleased with all 4 but this 1 doesnt come close to these.

We stayed all inclusive and we got nothing the food was very very poor eggs every day for breakfast with half of grilled tom with a bit of cheese on top. Dinner was same poor one day we went in for snack bar my wife was eating turkish pizza and started to choke when she coughed it up there was cling film baked in the pizza.

The next day I went in for snacks and there was chicken strips on I picked one up and it was raw inside not pink raw I took a photo and the manager saw me when I walked away he chucked it to the back for someone else to get.

We asked the waiter if he would get us a drink and was told you get your own I only wait on those who pay not all inc. We did'nt have a bar in hotel as stated in broucher we had to walk round to pool bar even if it was raining. The sushi bar was also payable even though it did'nt say so in broucher.

The room we had was pokey and dirty. Dirty vallance, gum on the carpet, wallpaper hanging off. Just outside the room dark stains like coffee on carpet.

One night we had to get security because a couple were having a serious fight and his wife was screaming they were Germa,n they also had a dog in the room with them which kept barking.

We recieved a letter when we got there saying they had belly dancing turkish folk law ect we never got any entertainment the full 2 weeks we were there we complained to the hotel guest manager and our rep and was told at first well everybody else is happy nobody else has complained it was only through talking to other guest we found out a lot had complained when we confonted our rep with this she admitted she had had loads of complaints about 15 to 20 to be exact one day.

The hotel was bringing flowers, strawberrys ect in, they was decorating the pool area which we had to leave early with fancy tables flowers ribbons ect we was told we could'nt use the pool bar and for one night only we could drink in the sushi bar because the hotel was booked out for a private party which we though was a wedding it turn out to be a boy getting circumsized and they closed of the pool area and pool bar for that and also the party went on till 3 in the morning.

The hotel put a good display of food for the guest at the party but the next day in the resturant we got the same old rubbish.

I was also told at the bar I could'nt have a cocktail so when I asked the rep she said she would speak to the manager la\ter she said she'd sorted it providing I had one made with local cocktails I could have so that night I went to the bar explaned and was told no you must pay.

When I asked for a large beer I was told only the guest that pay can have large all inc. must have small my wife had a cup of tea at breakfast and if she wanted another cup after that she had to pay.

One night in the resturant we had 3 meats on kebab meat, turkey in orange sauce and meat balls, no potatos, no veg so I asked the resturant manager where are veg and he showed me to the salad bar where there was cold sprouts and brocolli there a lot more I could put but dont have time.

All together we filled 6 complaints forms out and if we don't get any joy we'll take the matter further.

Blue Bays Deluxe was rated 4 star however I would rate it maybe as a deluxe 2 star at most. Whilst it was clean & modern, many of the advertised facilities were unavailable, e.g. internet, only 1 bar.

The choce of food was very poor however the salad selection was nice. Choice of hot meals was limited to 2!! One night it was a choice between roast chicken or roast turkey!! The restaurant was smoking with no seperate are for non smokers and this was enough to put me off my food.

The hotel was also full of Dutch who were ignorant, expecting to jump the queues at the bar etc.

I certainly would not return to that hotel.

We visited the Blue Bay Deluxe Hotel on an All Inclusive basis (group of 10) and needless to say we were all very disappointed. Whilst the hotel was very modern and is in a great position the service was extremely poor.

Considering this was meant to be an 4 star All Inclusive the food was terrible only luke warm and not a varied selection at all, there is only so much times a person can eat "Squash with pasta"!

On arrival asked for pool towels were informed hotel does not have any, asked if I could use ones from room was told no, asked for Iron informed hotel does not have one, so would have to use their iroing service which of course would have to pay "EXTRA" for. For a 4 star deluxe I definitely expected the latter two services to be available as the norm.

No local currency available at reception and it seemed only one person was able to converse in English. Card to access room turned electricity on and off so if not in room could not keep drinks cold in fridge and charge any of your appliances.

Thanks heavens the weather was good and we went with a good party of friends cos if not this holiday would have been a disaster.

This recently refurbished hotel was architectually pleasant. The layout and facilities are overall very good. However, less thought has been applied to the private areas - your room. Amongst many niggly things two fundamental flaws provide me with lasting memories. You can, without raising your voice, have a conversation with the people in the adjoining room, particuarly while in the bathroom. This was ok for us given our neighbours were friends we travelled with.

More daminlgy, the electrical system for the room that also powers the mini fridge shuts down upon removal of the key card you need to access your room. You can imagine our shock to find first, the phone and camera we left to charge flat and second, warm drinks we had purchased during the day to quench that late night thirst. The bar shuts at 11.30pm and there is no room service.

More than this, and i think that you would agree with me. Health and saftey is paramount. The hotel failed misserably on this count and did not fully acknowledge our concerns when alerted to this. Some things they overlooked include; a used drinking glass was left in the room for four days, too few towels and no bath mats were allocated to each rooms.

The food was luke warm, largely unedible, lacked variety, no fresh juice (only powder-based mixes), and overall very disappointing even though it was all inclusive.

Hotel location is probably its best selling point. 5 mins from beach, main strip, and a very good bar next door that is open after 11.30pm when the hotel bar and resturant is closed (although advertised as being open until 2am) should you fancy a coffee, beer, or snack. At this bar the staff were exceptionally; helpful, friendly, informative, and polite.

Staff at the hotel lacked basic customer care skills. There was no evident desire to make you welcome. This reminds me. The hotel did not possess any local currency. The member of staff on duty did not seem to think that this was abnormal.

No entertainment at hotel.

I would definately not visit this hotel again. The staff and service do not match up with the chic-ness (advertised 4-star deluxe rating) of the building nor the presentation on the website.

I was very disappointed by this hotel. Having to get up early to save a sunbed is not my idea of relaxing. With the hotel in the midst of changes it all seems unorganised and unfinished.

The food was very basic and had a very limited choice unless you liked salad. There was never any butter for bread in the evening?

The rooms where quite small and had no draw space. There was also a problem with noise. On a few nights music was played through the hotel speakers so loud it woke us up and I had to ask for it to be turned down. It seemed the bathroom walls where very thin you could hear showers from above and next door. You also had to get in quick if you wanted a warm shower at night before dinner.

I did find the staff very pleasant and helpful they more than made up for the surroundings

The usual definition of All Inclusive does not apply to this hotel, most things are "Extra". There are no complimentary towels for the pool, the selection of local alcoholic drinks are limited to say the least and the bar shuts at 11.30 not 2.00 a.m. as stated in their literature.

On their cards they say there is a Black Bar it does NOT exist and the only bar is the one shown by the pool.

The food selection is extremely limited and most things (if you are brave enough to eat) are tasteless and bland. Ok if you like hard boiled eggs though.

There appears to be no kids menu so beware if you are bringing small children who like English food.

The hotel has recently been refurbished and as such is clean and looks nice from the outside but be warned the hot water doesn't work in the mornings, and the walls are paper thin (be careful adults!!).

The hotel is located in a good spot, close to McDonalds!! And less than 5 minutes walk from the beach.

The hotel staff are not rude but make no attempt to talk to the guests unless they have to and then do so in very limited English in the quickest time possible.

There is no hotel entertainment whatsoever.

This wouldn't be a good hotel for families with children as not only don't they have any entertainment on site the pool does not have a shallow end and what they describe as a kids pool is more like a foot wash.

The indoor pool looks nice but is even colder than the outdoor pool.

I definitely wouldn’t visit this hotel again but if you choose to don't go All Inclusive just use it as a clean spot to explore further a field.

Finally we had a night flight 2.00 am back to England, the hotel expect you to vacate your room from midday and offer no complimentary washing/shower facilities prior to your pick up time which for us was 9.30 in the night.

Surprise, surprise if you pay "Extra" £20 quid they will let you stay in your room.

My wife and I spent two weeks in the Hotel. First impressions are excellent. Very cosmopolitan and almost modern Art-deco in design.

The staff were friendly enough.

The pool area is very nice.

The cleaning staff were excellent.

The situation is excellent, very close to the beach and the town. Those are the good bits.

The down side is that the atmosphere isn't quite right. It doesn't feel like a holiday hotel, more like a business hotel.

There are not enough tables for the guests. We had to wait for a table to come available on more than one occasion. Whilst we queued, of course the German contingent tried to barge their way through. The food is very poor, not at all what you would expect of a four star plus hotel. Breakfast was basic. No toaster, and only one bread knife to cut the bread!! Not once was there any form of potato served.

There was an evening when roast beef was on the menu, and it was served with macaroni!!! The result was that we very quickly decided not to eat in the hotel.

That is not too bad as there are many restaurants very close, all cheap and all of a good quality. The Bella Vista in the Harbour area was particularly excellent.

Sunbeds on the beach are free, provided that you buy drinks etc. from the bars. The best area was out of the hotel, turn right to the end of the road, then left to the beach and turn right. The sunbeds there are spaced much further apart, and can be reserved for you once the staff get to know you. One thing to watch out for if standing in the water are the small biting fish!! My wife and I were both bitten, and the bites bleed! It is quite entertaining, thouth watching others jump as they get bitten!!

We would stay at the hotel again, but only on a room only or, at a push, bed and breakfast.

That said Turkey is a very cheap holiday, and the Turkish people are very friendly and welcoming.

My wife and I had the misfortune to visit this hotel last year. We had reasonably high expectations as we were expecting 4 star service, how wrong we were. Here is a list of the complaints that I sent to our tour operators on our return.

· Toilet in 1St room didn’t flush properly and the cistern took 10-15 minutes to refill

· Air conditioning remote control didn’t work properly in the 1st room neither (there was no manual operating option), air conditioning was erratic at best.

· We asked for a twin room and we were put into a double.

· Our sea view was very poor in so much that we could only see a sliver of the sea and instead had to look over a very squalid building which turned out to be the quarters of some of the staff from a local bar.

· The hotel was absolutely full of Russians who are the rudest, most ignorant and miserable race of people we have ever had the misfortune to have to deal with. The Turks hate them, we were told this by the rep and the Turks themselves. But because the Russians were all inclusive they received the better service whilst we were pretty much treated like second class citizens. To be honest it was really quite unfair for us to be put in a hotel with a predominately all inclusive clientele, particularly when we were so under represented.

Everyone that we have spoken to in Marmaris and at home who have had dealings with the Russians have said that they really shouldn’t be allowed to mix with other nationalities, yet we were put into that rather uncomfortable predicament. Incidentally we also heard rumours that Russian prostitutes were operating from the Blue Bay’s Deluxe (not bad for a hotel that had only been open for 2 months I think that you’d agree).

· Air conditioning in the hotel reception/ foyer was hardly ever working it was actually cooler outside.

· Hotel had a very nice lounge/TV room with chess tables etc, air conditioning was never on (making it hot as hell) and rendering it useless).

· Hotel toilets (the ones actually for use by all of the hotel patrons) didn’t have any hand drying facilities until the Sunday before we came home when a paper towel dispenser was installed.

· No gardens.

· No A la Carte restaurant.

· When one of us was feeling a bit poorly we enquired at reception about room service, and was told that it wasn’t available. Yet after struggling down to the restaurant the restaurant manager informed us that preparing some food for the room wouldn’t have been a problem.

· Pool bar staff (who were aged about 16) weren’t sure how to deal with non all inclusive guests requests or attempts to buy drinks or food, they didn’t know the cost of pool bar items and getting change was a nightmare. They were also extremely surly, unfriendly and unhelpful. This also applies to the only other bar in the hotel. The pool bar staff also didn’t speak very good English which is bizarre considering that all the other hotel staff had more than adequate English, and this also didn’t help problems.

· The swimming pool and pool bar area had approx 20 speakers surrounding it, music was played at a ridiculously loud volume and because of the amount of speakers it was impossible to escape. Most of the music played was either rap or monotonous trance music, this combined with the volume made reading, relaxing etc impossible. When pool bar staff were requested to turn it down they did so for about 10 minutes and then turned it up to the volume that it was at initially. In one day I asked 6 times for the music to be turned down each time with the result described above, eventually we had to retire to our room just to get some semblance of peace and quiet.

· Indispersed with the music described above we also had to put up with various “gangsta rap” music being played at anytime of the day when we were sitting by the pool with enchanting lyrics including words like “Mother******”or just describing doing a driveby’s and someone dying in a hail of bullets, or taking drugs.

· When we did order food at the poolside bar it had to be brought in from the Blue Bay’s Deluxe neighbouring hotel the Blue Bay’s.

· Food to be consumed in the Blue Bay’s Deluxe restaurant was brought in from the Blue Bay’s Hotel in temperatures exceeding 110 degrees.

· We only ever saw the hotel manager once and that was at the welcome meeting apart from that he was an invisible ostrich.

· In our second room which we had to move to the air conditioning also didn’t work properly and we spent the day watching the maintenance man trying to fix it, from approx 1pm to 8.30pm at no time did anyone suggest that we might leave our room and let him get on with it. Insult was added to injury when the hotel manager sent a half bottle of wine (with no means of opening it) and a few pieces of fruit to our room as a supposedly “good will gesture” for our inconvenience, we subsequently saw the same bottle of wine retailing in a local supermarket for £2.00.

· We were given a card for the hotel restaurant which had the wrong opening times on it, subsequently we missed a meal because of this mis-information.

· Distance of the hotel from Marmaris was supposed to be a kilometre or walking distance, we looked at the tripometer in a cab it was approximately 2 kilometres (which had we been elderly would have caused us additional problems), and in the heat that we were experiencing it was just about in walking distance.

· We also had problems with the incursion of English residents of the adjoining 3 star Blue bay’s hotel coming in and using the pool and lounger facilities. These English people were the sort of tattooed oiks that any decent minded person would cross the road to avoid, yet we had to put up with them taking sunbeds that we had paid for and we also had to contend with their foul mouthed yobbish antics in and around the pool. When we told the reception staff about this they informed us that they weren’t supposed to be there but they weren’t prepared to or couldn’t do anything about it.

· We also had an extremely embarrassing and bewildering experience in the hotel restaurant the first time we went for our evening meal. We got our food and helped ourselves to some orange squash. After finishing our meal we got up to leave the restaurant when all hell was let loose. We were asked to pay for our drinks. We had paid for half-board and at breakfast all drinks were free, however it turned out that this wasn’t the case with the evening meal, the problem was that no one had informed us of this. Consequently this resulted in the aforementioned embarrassing scene.

This hotel shouldn't be considered by anyone who has any expectations of a reasonable level of service as it is blatantly apparent that the management couldn't care less about their patrons.
