the board basis was fine i always go b+b but never eat breakfast anyway just had a cup of coffee now and again to sober me up. as i was just getting in most mornings when people was having their breakfast.

hotel cleanliness i was really happy with and for the price paid it was immaculate. the cleaners an old lady and guy were very friendly.

i do not have appetite to eat much on holiday with the heat, but on the odd occasion when i did eat at the hotel the food was average and they had a wide selection. the drinks in hotel was quite expensive 7lira for a large coke (0.5l)which is about 3.50 however all hotels prices are same as i know this been going to marmaris for last 4 years.

the location of the hotel is set back in a like communal area the scenery was beautiful and the sun beamed all day. it was a bit quiet for me though as i go to marmaris for the clubs as im only 20, however the location is great for families or the elderly. the clubs and restaurants were quite a trek but u can get on the dolmus for about 60p.

the staff were friendly with the rest of my party except for me. this may have been because i rarely eat or drunk there where as the others did. however this did notbother me that they ignored me as i don't go on holiday for the staff to like me and i still enjoyed myself. there was an english girl who worked there from essex she lived in marmaris with her family for 3 years, one night my party and a few other hotel guests aswell as the woman and her brother chipped in 20 lira each for a barbecue on the beach we got a couple of throwaway barbecues lots of chicken a bit of crab some burgers and 4 bottles of vodka for about £60 which was a bargain, then after midnight we hit the clubs.

the turkish night was ok for what it is but not really my cup of tea however if u stay for 2 weeks do not go to the turkish night both weeks as it is exactly the same.

to be honest the whole concept of the hotel was fine but i would go back as the only thing i was dissatisfieed about the staff. i prefer to go to different hotels rather than go back to the same one. as i been going to marmaris since i was 16 and stayed in a different hotel everytime. i've stayed on the beachfront up near the icmeler end and right near the thursday market up the other end.i'll be in the baris hotel next year 14 august- 11 sept.

We arrived not sure about this hotel.Having our own booking changed. We had a great time both staff and other guest were all mixing together and it made the holiday a fab one. The music was turned down at midnight. The only down side to us was the location as we usually stay nearer to Andy's bar.But the bus was cheap. The walk was great to do to the marina and back.Max the hotel dog came with me on many of my walks.the market was so close it pleased the other half.I would definatley return here again.

The room was basic as expected. the cleaner came in everyday to empty the bin, the staff were very friendly. helping with advise if needed,we had several meals in the evening at the seler but also went to other local places all withing walking distances, there were 3 pools in all, one in the middle of the both hotel blocks, one on the front and a little kids pool at the rear, a large beer was 4 lira, safe deposit £10 english pounds a week, air con £25 english pound a week,
lunch time meals available - chip buttie, pizza, salads and many others, all very nice,
we would definitely go back there,

We just got back off honeymoon we found hotel seler to be very friendly, with mixed types of holiday makers from families to young couples.

The service is out of this world and the food delicious.

The hotel consists of 2 buildings connected in the middle by a bar area where drinks are cheap and staff are great. The music at the bar is loud and is great at night if you decide to stay in, but the music stops around 11.30. We had one bad night when some English lads stayed up till 5 in the bar area they were asked to go to bed but they ignored the staff.

The rooms are very very clean and ample size, I have stayed in many B&Bs up and down England and the rooms at the SELER are the same size and in many cases a lot cleaner.

There are two ample size pools for a dip and plenty of loungers. There is a little mini mart yards across the square from the SELER get your money changed here it is bar far the best rate in Marmaris.

As we were leaving Brand new air conditioner units were being fitted, air con is £25 for the week which we did not get but wish we did, we did not purchase a safe box which is £10 for the week but did not need it.

The rooms are cleaned daily; overall the hotel is very clean, very friendly and very relaxing well worth the £230 each we paid for the week. Big Hi to Mohamed and little Lee lol Keep me informed if any new t-shirts (MR HORNY.

Hotel seler is really lovely. The staff and the people staying at the hotel are really friendly. The food is fabulous and you get plenty for your money. The hotel rooms are cleaned nearly everyday and cleaners can really be trusted. The entertainment is really good to, they have staff shows, belly dancers, break dancers and turkish dancers and they make sure everybody gets involved in it all.

hotel seler is no 5* accommodation but my boyfriend and i thought it was perfect seeing as we booked a budget holiday. While we were there, there were young couples, elderly couples, middle aged couples, families, children, groups and lone holiday makers. There is something for everyone. In peak months you may have to pay the £25 for air conditioning although we went in september we didnt bother with the air con as nights were cool and you just didnt need it. Its also £8 per week for a safe deposit box.

Food at the hotel i thought was fine. Our board was bed and breakfast- we didnt bother with the breakfast as it was a turkish breakfast- bread, boiled egg, cheese, tomatoes and other little bits and bobs. We ate at the hotel for lunch sometimes and twice for dinner as they have a sunday roast on sundays along with entertainment, and another night during the week there is a set dinner which was also nice. Entertainment at the hotel was 3 times a week, they have breakdancers (excellent!) belly dancers, magic show, bingo, fire spitters and some other things. We really enjoyed the entertainment.

There are 2 pools at the seler, one at the front and one at the back. They are not olympic size but big enough for everyone- we could always find sunbeds at any time of the day.(Baring in mind that we didnt go in peak season-sept 5th to 12th- i would imagine that it would be busier in june, july and aug.) We also didnt have to get up at the break of dawn to put towels down- which was nice. There is also a childrens splash pool and a pool table which is` free to use. Hotel seler has a hotel right next door called the hasinci and one next to that called the senfoni. (hotel senfoni is owned by the same people that own the seler so you are always welcome to use their facilities too.)

Drinks at the seler are reasonably priced, imported spirits like archers or vodka are 10 lira, with drinks like budwieser at 6 lira, the best buy is a local beer called efes wich is 3 lira. (2.5 lira to the pound so its very cheap.)Fish bowls are 30 or 40 lira, quite expensive butr they are huge!- if you venture out the hotel you will find cheaper drinks.

The bar staff are very friendly and are always up for a chat, we made so many friends everytime we sat at the bar or pools. The bar is 24 hour but is very quiet in the early hours and they wont play music at that time.

our room at the seler had a balcony over the pool, two single beds which you can easily push together to make a double (they do have double beds on request but we couldnt be botherd to move- they are more than happy to move you rooms if its not what you want) a bedside table, wardrobe with plenty of hangers, and another table with drawer and large mirror. The bathroom had no shower curtain but that was the only fault i could find with the room, hot water was always avaliable although sometimes at peak times of the evening it went a little cooler due to everyone showering at the same time- but it was never cold. Our room was immaculate, very clean and beds and towels were changed everyday. There are afew tip boxes, one at the bar and one will be in your room.

Check in was quick and easy and we were given a welcome drink on arrival.

Ive read lots of reviews on the seler hotel, some people like it, others dont, im quite fussy about accommodation and i was over the moon with what we had for the price we paid- some people have said that the hotel is noisy at night- i dont belive this to be true having stayed there myself. There is music at the hotel bar during the day and night, it is turned down or off at around 12 midnight for the benifit of other holiday makers. If the bar area is still busy past 12 the music may stay on for another half hour or so but that is as far as it goes. If you ask them to turn it up during the day or down at night it will be done straight away. in my opinion they are very considerate. Our room was quite close to the bar and we were never once botherd by loud music. The prayer call in the morning was the only noise we heard and that was only once on one morning. (its played during the day but its hardly noticable and lasts about a minute- if that.)

The hotel itself is in a perfect location, we didnt want a hotel that was close to the bars and restaurants becasue of noise levels, and the seler is in a` perfect place. Its about a 5 minute walk from all the restaurants and bars and the same applies to the beach.

Overall we had a fantastic time at the seler and would go back! Ten out of ten.Its comfortable, friendly and there is a very close feel to the place. You make friends with everyone. I perfer lower star hotels rather than large 5* hotels as you dont get that close family feel. There is something for everyone. My advice to any one thinking of booking the seler- go for it, there are lots of reviews which make you think twice about booking, dont listen. It was great. And to anyone who was already booked...im so jealous.

I dont have anything bad to say about the Seler Hotel.

This is the first time in marmaris and was a little worried when we got off the coach to a couple of dogs waiting to greet us. Once in the hotel we found the room to be shabby - air conditioning unit very noisy after paying £25 for the privilege and the curtains could have done with a wash - other than that the room itself was clean and the staff really nice - we were not hassled to eat there and found we could come and go when we wanted - music was not a problem but the only downfall was from people who had too much to drink smashing their rooms up and waking the entire hotel we only stayed a week and were woken up three times by this.

As soon as I went to the Seler Hotel, I took my suitcase upstairs and went to the room, which is the longest trip I've ever been on probably, as we were on the top floor, and it was quite high up, and they were steep.
The rooms are very basic, no cooking facilities, fridges, etc. except a bathroom, with a shower, sink and toilet, and 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two singles. We arrived about 6 in the morning, and the staff that greeted us seemed a bit unknowing, but when we went downstairs at about 10 in the morning, we got a warm welcome from all the staff there. They are very friendly, perhaps sometimes too friendly, as they can sometimes pester you.
But that is also a good thing, as anytime you need them, they're always around to help. And my mum even trusted the staff to 'look after' my sister & I while my mum went to bed, as she was very tired.
Two of the nights, there was a roast night, where there was entertainment and much dancing. The people there were very nice also, and everyone was lovely.
The area was really good, and you could pay extra for the facilities you wanted.
I loved the Seler Hotel, every bit of it.
I really want to go back!!
I love them all!

Never before have we been made more welcome in a hotel.

Our room was basic but adequate with a nice bathroom (shower). Linen and towels were changed twice a week or extra if requested, room cleaned every day. We only had one pillow each, asked for two more, delivered same day.

Two well maintained pools plus kiddies pool, outside bar and shaded patio area, outside covered restaurant, lounge with big screen TV and 1678 channels (we don't watch TV on our hols but made an exception for the European F1 Grand Prix on the Sunday afternoon on CNN Turkey).

The food was really good, Chef does a fine job whether local or British cuisine. We ate there the first evening and were asked if we would be there for the Turkish Night (barbecue and entertainment) but were never hassled to eat there every night, although we did often, because it was so good.

The hotel was only five minutes walk to the beach, less than that to catch the dolmus to the old part of town, Bar Street, nightclubs. All closeby when we wanted it but far enough away to not have to hear it all night at the hotel. There is a 24/7 supermarket (about the size of a Tesco Express) opposite the hotel.

Entertainment was two Turkish nights per week with bellydancers, breakdancers, fire-eater/juggler, folk dancers, and the fun waiters dance. Other evenings music was played and if guests didn't dance the staff did which in turn encouraged the guests (well, we couldn't let the staff have all the fun! lol). Music was turned down from Midnight.

But what really made this holiday for us was the staff. We were treated like family, very friendly to us adults and keeping a caring, watchful eye on the youngsters without spoiling their fun, in fact they added to the fun.

We will definitely be going back.

This hotel is really more suitable for 18-30. we didnt know until rep told us that the bar was open 24/7 , although music was turned down about midnight. We didnt get any sleep @ all the first 2 nights due to noise from the bar.
Our room was clean & maids came in every day.But the pillows were like boulders! The staff hassled us to eat in their restaurant & then when we did on 1 night they ignored us once we`d ordered ,apart from 1 of them who advised us that we shouldnt eat elsewhere as the food & kitchens in the resort are all dirty! not true!
The night we left 1 of the staff tried to make us pay someone elses bar bill. We`d only had 1 drink in there which we paid for @ the time.
Overall the room was clean & the shower worked & we never spend much time in hotels anyway ,we like to get out & about, something the staff didnt understand.
The main problems were being kept awake @ night (after 2am) & being pestered to eat in the resturant.
We will return to Marmaris but certainly not to the Seler.

We went to this hotel on an allocation on arrival basis.

When we got to the room we nearly died as it was so small, but the staff were brilliant and moved us to a much bigger room right away, they couldn't have done enough to help us.

What we thought was going to be a disaster turned out to be one of the best holidays we ever had.

There was loud music coming from the bar but this never went on past 1 o'clock.

The staff couldn't have been more friendly and the rooms were spotless as they were cleaned every day,as were the towels.

Breakfast was basic but you could buy extras which were priced the same as everywhere else. The food you paid for was very good.

I would definitely come back here even though it was very basic but the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the place would ensure our return.

There was three of us on the trip all 17 year old mates here for a good time,

We arrived in the early hours and the hotel looked tidy enough. The two pools where very small but adequate for the amount of guests.

The food at the hotel was nice, if slightly over-priced.

The hotel staff where outstanding there are many superlatives i could use to describe them. They where polite always spoke. Had a laugh and played table tennis, pool etc.

There was no entertainment in the hotel - but they showed World Cup football and had good music.

The resort itself was amazing - good nightlife.

I would recomend this hotel to anyone.

After a long delay we got to the Seler,4 hours late.

I was told I was staying on 1st floor,Turguy and Mehmet carried my cases up then Turguy went back down to get my daughters pram. They moved me to the ground flor when a room was available.

The rooms are small but they were the cleanest I have ever had so it never bothered me.

The bathroom was nice and clean. I had a huge big wardrobe a small set of drawers so storage was not a problem.

The food was lovely, one waiter was too pushy about you eating there all the time. On the whole the staff were very good Basha would go out of his way to help you. Also the barman Turguy was so nice and frendly.

The entertainment was picking up as I was leaving. The location for me was good a 5min walk from main road.

I will be going back in September as I have made so many very good frends out there.

Noise,Noise and more Noise. every night loud music, bump bump, bump, very little sleep to be had.

Hotel advertised for families and couples, we expected a reasonably relaxing holiday, but no chance with singing, shouting, fighting, banging doors, loads of swearing, ( even in front of the little kids that were there), swimming at all hours of the night, bar open 24 hrs but no control at all by the staff as to what went on.

The food was nothing special considering the way the staff virtually made you eat there. Everything overpriced, and you were shortchanged virtually everytime that you bought something. Some staff tend to be very intimidating, so be warned.

When we arrived at this hotel I really thought I'd arrived at a cellar the room was so small you had to walk sidewards all over the room, it needs refurbishing

We arrived at 5.05am and the 24hr bar was booming and we didn't get any sleep. The dogs outside were barking all the time right through until the morning - nightmare.

In the morning we went to see the rep and asked to be moved. The rep Daniel was really helpful and moved us straight away. After that the holiday was fantastic,
but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody at all. Maybe 18 to 30's should use it!

The location was quite far out of the centre and if we would have stayed there it would of cost us quite a bit of money to get around.

The Turkish breakfast is olives and bread 1 boiled egg and cheese uugghhhh.

I won't be going to this hotel again but would go back to Marmaris tomorrow.

We were a bit shocked when we first arrived it looked very basic and we asked for a double bed but ended up with too single beds if that happens just ask to be moved to a different room.

Although very basic you get what you pay for, the maids are very good and do a good job of cleaning your room. The staff are very nice and will do anything to help you.

The breakfast is very basic bread cheese, be careful with the jam as it is not covered. The music can be loud so if you are wanting to go to bed early I would think twice about staying here.

We enjoyed our stay here and had some very good days and nights out.

We booked this holiday at the Seler hoping for a rest that is not what we got.

The bar is open and serving drinks 24hrs.

The seler appears to have two dogs that bark at anything with an engine and the hotel is very close to a mosque and they call for prayers five times a day.

It is located within the residential area of marmaris but the local people dont seem to mind the holiday-makers.
I can recommend the chips & curry sauce for 5tl but not much else impressed me.

Be very careful with the bar bill system it creeps up on you and also worth double checking every item as some descrepancies were found over the week.
We decided not to have one at all as a bill for 27million appeared.

If you are a party animal the doesnt mind a lack of sleep then go to the Seler if not i wouldnt recommend a stay at this hotel.

Upon first arriving the hotel looked very nice. However, we soon realised that it was in fact located in a residential area, about 5 minutes walk from the main road near the Migros supermarket.

It took us ages to unlock the door to our room (305). I think it had a dodgy lock. You had to turn it one way twice, then back again the other way and pull the door towards you at the same time! We just about mastered this towards the end of our holiday.

We were helped upstairs with our cases by Mehmet – 2 flights of stairs, no lift. When we finally got into our room we were very disappointed. There was a small double bed, one wardrobe with the handle hanging off, a bedside cabinet which had no door as it had fallen off, and a mirror on the wall with a tiny shelf underneath it which was not very stable at all. Only 1 pillow each (a hard one at that) so we had to prop up with towels.

The floors were tiled, the bathroom was not bad but it had a shower attachment on the wall with just a hole in the floor to drain the water away – no shower cubicle.

The balcony was tiny with just enough room for 2 plastic chairs (which had buckled under the heat of the sun) and we were directly opposite a residential apartment balcony, so, no sitting out on the balcony.

There were 2 pools, one L-shaped and one rectangular. The L-shaped pool didn’t keep the sun all day and it got quite chilly in the shade there. The other pool seemed to get the sun all day.

The breakfasts were OK but a bit boring after a couple of days – crusty bread, jams, cheese, beef tomatoes, melon, tea, coffee. One morning we also had hard-boiled eggs which were quite nice.

The family who own the hotel tended to use the lounge/reception area as a living room where they sat and watched TV while their staff did all the hard work. Mehmet and Ali worked very long hours.

If you are the sort of person who still likes to have a good nights sleep while on holiday, don’t stay at the Seler. It is very very noisy at night – there is noise from the hotel bar, people playing pool and the residential apartments nearby. Also, the dogs outside would howl every morning at about 4am when the call to prayer rang out from the nearby mosque. You could also hear cats fighting in the middle of the night, the air-conditioning unit is very very noisy too. However, we managed to avoid using it most nights by keeping the balcony door open a bit as there were no mozzies. Take some cotton wool with you to put in your ears when you go to bed!!

I can only describe the hotel as very very basic but very very clean. Towels changed twice during the week, beds made, bathroom cleaned and rooms tidied daily.

When we go back to Marmaris, we will be looking for somewhere else to stay. The Seler is OK if you’re likely to be out until the very small hours and you don’t need very much sleep, otherwise it should be avoided.
