Our studio was overlooking the pool even at 9 am it was still quiet. Hotel staff very friendly and helplful.Hotel is just 5 minutes walk away from restaurants, shops, bars etc., so you do not get any noise from the bars.

| said: Just got back after a quick week away. The room I had was facing the pool and was very quiet. The room it's self was spacious and well equipped and as far as self catering in Europe goes it does not get much better. The pool area is very nice and well kept. The on site super market is very well priced and the bar has some decent offers such as £1 a cock tale between 15.00 and 18.30. I would definitely specify a pool facing room when you book though, as the other alternative is facing the road. The location is pretty ideal and is only a few minutes away from the restaurants and the beach. I would most definitely recommend this accommodation

| said: Hotel well situated for main strip area, busy road to cross but pelican crossing works well. Nicely out of the way of the late night noise (which is not in any event excessive as this is a quieter resort), rooms at rear better still. Hotel is well kept both inside and out and cleaners did a very thorough job. Staff always friendly. Hotel has a policy re guests putting towels on sun beds and then not using them (i.e. going off somewhere else or back to bed if early in morning), rule is they will be removed if left unattended for more than 10 - 15 minutes. Nice idea but we never saw it enforced. That said we never had a problem getting sunbeds when we wanted them as "most" folk at the hotel behaved in the right way making it better for everyone. Only downside was that the apartment only had aircon in the bedroom which meant that it was less pleasant for those sleeping in the lounge area. Had we know we would have booked two apartments. Restaurant is as good value as anywhere else in its class, basic food, pleanty of it at a competitive price. Owner/manager has a memory party trick on remembering names, all helps to make the stay nicer.

The overall cleanliness of the aprtments were great, and the same with the pool area. Food and drinks were great, not to mention the friendly staff who were superb....really polita and always willing to make conversation.
Would definately recomend staying here as it is literally a 5 minute walk from the town, beaches, shops and local supermarket.
Am actually going again this year but for 2 weeks.

| said: Read the reviews before we went, was not disappointed. For the price we paid we were very happy with the hotel.Took two 15 year old's who went to 'the strip' every night, very safe for them no trouble.
We had a studio at the front and as stated in previous reviews try and get one at the back as the road can be noisy.
Tasos and George made you feel very welcome and the free brandy's went down well!!
The hotel is in a good position, everything just a short walk away.
the beach is lovely just a shame there are too many sun beds on it so gets very crowded.
Try to hire a car if you go and visit the mountains, fantastic views and excellent local food.
Would recomend staying here and would return.

| said: Our first time to Cyprus for a family holiday. Got back 4 hrs ago!
Choose Andreotis because of quiet location. Not disapointed. Situated just off the end of main strip of bars/restaurants etc, perhaps 2mins walk.
Apartments facing the road could be bit noisy due to the occasional scooter but ours was at the back, so if you get the choice you know which one to go for.
In the main strip, usual fare of pizza/burgers/kebabs plus some places doing origional greek food too. We ate mostly at the Andreotis own outdoor restaurant as it was very good value and good quality although you could wait a while for your meal when busy (I recommend the home made chicken curry for C£3.95). Tassos (Owner/barman)is friendly and try's to learn all your family's first names! Room cleaner was ever so nice too. She even came back later one morning to clean because the kids were still sleeping in.
Good size pool which closes at 8pm, so no late noise from there. Couple of times during the week were Greek night and Kareoke night but not too loud to disturb kids. So all in all a nice place, just off the main strip, friendly staff, good value home cooked food from onsite restaurant, large warm outdoor pool, good local beach (Figtree beach) 5-10 mins walk - Enjoy!

Thanks so much for the fab hoilday to Thomas Cook and the staff!

| said: Good location for beach and town - just slightly away from all the noise, so good for families.
Staff extremely helpful and all worked very hard to make sure you had a good holiday. Tasos had an amazing ability of remembering not only your name but the name of everyone in your party for the duration of the stay.
The food was as good as you get anywhere else and reasonably priced, especially the nightly 'specials'.
The only down side was the amount of flies, which drove us all mad, especially when eating or laying by the pool. And the entrance slop to the pool was very slippery, not great for small children.
Would we go again - absolutely! We had a brilliant time.

My kids loved the pool. I got a bit fed up with hearing the same music all the time though.
We ate most of our meals in the resturant on site cause the food was brill.
Location was great as you was just outside of all the hussle and bussle, but near enough to everything.
Would definitley come again.

The bar staff could not be faulted, George, Tassos and team were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Room was only minimally cleaned, ie beds made, bins emptied, the floor never saw a brush or mop during the 2 weeks we were there.
The apartments are well situated though, 3 mins walk to the main strip in Protaras so far enough away from all the noise.
Only thing would have liked was a promenade to walk along at night, got fed up of walking up and down the same. street each evening.

The only thing I did not like was that all the TV's in the bar showed was FOOTBALL boring. Also its not worth having the TV's in the rooms as nothing is in English. But we only used the rooms for sleeping in as their is so much to see and do.
We have already booked for next year, some people were greedy with the sun beds one man had 2 with towels on for the morning sun and 2 more around the other side of the pool for the afternoon sun. The meals were excellent in the restaurant only place were I have not had a dodgy stomach.

he staff (Tassos and his team)are first class and they do everything to make your holiday a great one.
Sunbeds around the pool can be difficult to get if you are not up early enough to reserve them, but apart from this the appartments, pool and hotel grounds were very good.
We would definitely visit the Andreotis again in the near future.

There was a well stocked pool side bar where you could order food from at lunchtime, also there was a restaurant where you could eat on an evening as we did on a couple of occasions.
The staff in the apartmrnts were very friendly especially george and tassos who ran the poolside bar and restaurant.
I would recommend these apartements to a friend, and i would visit them again.

Rooms cleaned daily except for Sundays.
The staff were great, espeically Tassos and George, they make you feel very welcome from day 1.
Food in resturant is good and well priced and the on site shop has everything you need.
Pool is cleaned every night and also checked during the day.
Location is excellent, nothing directly around you making it peaceful at night, but beach, bars and resturants all within 5 minute walk.
Plenty of resturants to choose from on main strip and all cater for kids.
Only negative point was the sunbeds, had to get up at 06:30 to get a bed,but this was being addressed towards the end of our holiday, (better late than never I suppose).

| said: We arrived at the hotel to find we had been given our room allocation on arrival and was disappointed by what we had got room above the reception with a strange design as we had booked a pool view and also had booked this holiday 12 months in advance my wife went to reception to see if we could change the staff could not have been more helpful and on Sunday we moved into one of the bungalows much better.
The rooms are clean and well kept and the staff very friendly and the location was very great only a few minuets into the main night life.
The food in the restaurant was good as was the service Tassos and George made you at home as did all his staff (how Tassos remembers all the names of the guests is beyond me ) the Greek night was well worth the money and the cocktails !!!
The pool was clean but the music was a bit repetitive only so much James blunt a man can take and the next problem was the lack of sun beds even though there was signs asking you not to reserve them every one did but its taking the Mick when people put out there towels out late at night early morning and I'm talking 2.30 (I do apologise if you towel got wet)
So to sum up great hotel and staff but don’t go in high season if you want too relax by the pool unless you have insomnia.

| said: The hotel was really clean and the staff were very friendly George, Tassos and Andrea knew everyone by name even when it was their first day there. You have to try one of Andrea's cocktails they are to die for.
The Pool was clean and and poolside was kept clean and tidy, You can't use the pool from 8pm-8am as it is been cleaned over night. The pool side bar is really nice.
Don't leave food laying around because you will be surprised at how many ants appear.
The food was excellent, don't go if you are dieting you have no chance of losing weight.
The hotel was a 5-10 minute walk from the main strip with all the bars and shops.
You have to try the Cyprus night if you are there, its on once a fortnight on a Friday night, you have Greek dancers and you can sample the Greek food, it cost £6 CYP and for those who like Karaoke the hotel has one every Tuesday night.
The rooms are cleaned everyday and bedding changed twice a week. Don't worry if you find a small lizard in your room, (like I was) its not harmful and it is suppose to mean good luck will come your way. (or thats what George told me anyway). The travel rep Nadine was really nice and helpful too, and nothing was too much hassle for her.
Its an excellent place to be and I wouldn't hesitate to go back and stay there again.
Have a great time and say hi to George Tassos and Andrea from us.

| said: We booked this holiday with the intention of having a relaxing and stress free 2 weeks how wrong could I have been.
We booked a one bedroom apt for 4 people but when we arrived at the hotel/apartments we were given a room for 2/3 people with just enough storage space for a pair of shorts and if you were lucky a t/shirt as well. After complaining to the manager we were eventually moved the following Wednesday to a much better room not the best start to a holiday.
We arrived at the hotel about 01.30 am and after having a few hours sleep got up about 07.30 am I thought might as well go and get a sun bed before they had all gone (previous experiences). Shouldn’t have bothered too late, got talking to a guy who had been there for a week and he told me that if I wanted to have any chance of a sun bed I would have to be up about 05.30 am I said you must be having a laugh. He wasn’t joking, for the whole 2 weeks if you were not sitting on a sun bed at 05.30/05.45 am you had no chance so much for my relaxing and stress free holiday.
If it had not have been for Tassos,George and the girls at the restaurant I would have been well fed up. I would not stay at these hotel/apartments again but next time I go to Protaras I will pay a visit to see Tassos and the gang.

if i was to visit this resort again i would definately stay here... The resost itself is great with lots of bars and great restaurants to fill 2 weeks easily.. we ate at 12 different restaurants during our stay...
Teh beaches of fig tree bay are also fantastic with many watersports and boat trips available...

| said: The Andreotis hotel apartments were excellent! The apartments were ever so clean because of the daily visit from the maids, they changed and made the beds, they swept the floor and changed the towels plus giving a general tidy round.
The apartments had all the necessaries required including a toaster, 2 rings to cook on and a kettle. The shower however sometimes was not very powerful.
The food served in the resturant near the bar area was very typical 'homemade' style food which made it very appealing to us, meaning everybody could find something that they liked. It is served by very friendly staff too!(Little tip though, the nuts in the icecream are salted!)
The location was excellent due to it being only a minutes walk from the beach and the bars and resturants. Fig Tree Bay beach is so nice with white sand and a warm sea. The beach stretchs for miles. Protaras is also near Ayia Napia, we hired a scooter to go and explore this area which was very enjoyable.
Hotel staff, like I have already meantioned, were really friendly and made a real effort to learn all your names!
There was not loads of entertainment put on at the resort. There was a kareok night however plus football matches shown. Although due to the excellent location there is plenty of fun to be had out in the town.
The pool area was really nice with plenty of sunbeds and a good size pool. There is also a pool bar and a shop.
The people in this area were all absolutely lovely!! We made many friends and were even taken out for a meal and given free boat rides by the local watersports man!
We recieved a free meal from the local resturant we ate in on our last night as a farewell and got free tickets to 'boogies' a local nightclub. Getting to know so many local people really made the holiday!
This hotel was perfect for couples but also many families were there plus groups of friends.

| said: The Andreotis Apartments Protaras Cyprus, are fantastic apartments.
They are in a brilliant location, about 4 minutes walk to fig tree bay, but this gives you chance to pick up your paper and a drink on the way.
Close proximatey to the start of the strip where all the bars and restaurnats are located. The Andreotis are just far enough away from the bars to be in a quiet and tanquil of protaras.
The apartments were spotlessly clean, with any problems rectified straight away. There was always space around the pool and never a problem with reserved beds, although I can imagine in August you could have problems.
Towards the end of the holiday there seemed to be more kids arriving, unusual because it was second week in September, they should have all been back at school.
If you are booking a holiday here, I would suggest that you request an upper floor room, not above reception. We were above reception and could hear all the arrivals, although this was only twice a week. A small price to pay for everything else being EXCELLENT!!!
All the staff were very friendly with the night watch man wishing you a good night when you returned from a night out. (Watch out, though he usually falls a sleep infront of the television and wakes up to the sound of heels !!!)
Our hoilday was a gift from our friends and family for our engagement.
On the hoilday the reps informed us at the welcome meeting that they could arrange a visit to Melekhi's jewellers in Paralimni, we decided to get our wedding rings and the rep arranged a chauffeur from Melekhi's to collect us. When we arrived they greeted us with a glass of champagne and left us to browse the shop. WOW girls I've never seen anything so beautiful. It's well worth a look. We chose two fantastic ring and they engraved them with the date of the wedding, (free of charge).
When we got back the staff all wanted to see them and insisted we go back to the Andreotis for our honeymoon.
Actually we are going to America, but would definately go back asap.
We met some great friends, and are still in touch with them, but they stayed in a hotel on the main strip. When they saw our appartments they said when they go back they want to stay at the Andreotis.
We also found out our holiday was nearly £300 pounds cheaper than theirs.
Plenty of good restaurants & bars, places to go at affordable prices .
well worth a trip I won't stay any where else when I eventually go back.

it was fantastic.
The apartment was really clean and cleaned everyday.
The hotel staff were brill especially George, Tassos and Paula they are the bar staff and made sure everyone a good time was had by all(How Tassos could remember everyones name I will never know!)
The pool area was good only problem not enough sunbeds to go round in high season, due to alot of people deciding to do the beach in the morning and pool in the afternoon, we managed to grab a couple everyday though.
This was the second time we visited the Andreotis and are going back again for 2 weeks in August 06

Apartments very clean and ideal for a family.
Resturant gave a very varied menu and all staff very pleasant and helpful especially tsakos, Paula and George.
Maids cleaned rooms every day apart from Sunday and plenty of clean towels, bedding changed every 2 days.
Ideal apartments for visiting Protaras night life but not having to listen to it all night.

| said: We came to the andreotis on a self catering basis in a group of 12 adults and 7 children. The food in the hotel was great and also very reasonable. cheaper than going into the town.
There is a well stocked supermarket that you could get almost anything from and was also cheaper than going into Protaras for anything. The rooms were kept immaculate and towels changed regular.
The kitchen was well stocked with a full sized electric kettle, microwave, toaster and every utensil you could need, also had 2 cooking rings. The balconies are very spacious, and the grounds were lovely.
We did notice a couple of the rooms overlooked a main road, and would request a pool view if possible as the road is quite busy. We stayed in bungalow number 6 and was literally 30 steps to the pool.
The hotel held a karaoke night which seemed to go down well and a lot of the guests stopped for it. The barbecue and Cypriot night was not worth the 6 Cypriot pound. There was nothing on the barbecue for the kids and only had, small roast potatoes, pork, chicken on the bone and what I think was meatloaf? Salad and coleslaw. The quality of the barbecue food left a lot to be desired. All other foods at the hotel were great and you got massive portions.
One steak house to visit is the georgio steak house, the food was great served quick and plenty of, recommended chicken a la creme, steak on a plank, stefado, and kleftico (knuckle of lamb). If you have kids head down to Flintstones which is near across the road from sphinx bar.
Would definitely return to this hotel and also to the resort.

| said: The Andreotis was a very good place to stay. It was just far enough away from the town not to be bothered by noise but close enough for easy access.
We liked the fact that there was no entertainment except the karaoke once a week as we have young children and go to bed fairly early so it was great not to have noise late at night.
The only gripe we had is that the air contitioning is in the bedroom only and if you have children with you they set up their beds in the living room which is unbearably hot at night (31 degrees when we were there). We ended up moving the kids beds into our bedroom but as they both would not fit, ended up with a mattress on the floor.

| said: We stayed at the Andreotis apartments Protaras.
We were in the main section of the building which at first I was disappointed about however we were actually better situated on the ground floor as we had two prams. Also I thought there would be noise from the road but there wasnt it was nice and quiet.
Rooms were basic but very clean and the maid was very friendly with all of us. Towels and bedlinen was changed twice a week. Cleaning was 5 out of 7 days. Staff at the apartments were very friendly Tasos, George and Paula were lovely, with both ourselves and the children and even helped out my mum and dad who were staying at the Vrissiana when they had a bit of trouble.
Would recommend this complex to my friends with children, stayed in room 109 and it was excellent right by the pool but very quiet.

| said: The Andreotis apartments are ideally located in Protaras just a short walk to the beach and the strip of shops and restaurants.
The accomodation was spacious and clean and well furnished.
We had asked for a pool view and hoped to be in one of the bungalows pictured in Sunsets brochure but unfortunately were allocated a room in the main block facing the road.My disappointment was short-lived when I checked the bathroom and found an enormous whirlpool bath!!!
We later discovered it is the only one!
The pool area was spacious and spotlessly clean and all loungers have cushions. There were plenty loungers and plenty umbrellas, and at most times of the day there is a part of the pool area in the shade making it suitable for those who would rather not bake all day.
The food at the restaurant was great at lunchtime with a reasonable selection of snacks or meals. Tasos who runs the bar is very friendly and his wife is Scottish. His brother George runs the pool bar.
All in all I cannot fault the Andreotis and would stay there again when visiting Protaras.

Breakfast at the restaurant was the best in Protarus!!!
Evening meals were great, just far to much!!
Nothing was to much trouble for the hotel staff, but the bar/restaurantstaff, Tasos, George and Paula made our holiday unforgetable. Cant wait to see them in September 2005.
Tasos and George put on a brilliant Buffet and entertainment for their traditional Cyprus night.

| said: We travelled directly from Larnaca airport to the hotel. No other drop offs. The journey took 50 to 60 minutes.
The apartments are situated on a main road about 5 minutes walk from the start of the main strip and probably 8 minutes walk from the beach. The road isn’t particularly busy or noisy so if your room/balcony faces onto the road this shouldn’t be a problem except on the days when the hotel bins are emptied when you may be woken up at around 4.30am
Rooms are quite basic but adequate and always very clean. The TV only worked 2 out of 14 days while we were there and the only English Channel was the BBC world news channel. The receptionist said there was a problem with the local satellite link which was out of their control.
There's a local charge for air con. We didn’t need it as we visited in April but this would be essential when it gets hotter! I believe the charge for air con was £2.50cyp per day. We didn’t hire a safe either but I think the charge was £10 deposit and £7.50cyp per week.
Maid service seemed to be every 2 days. Clean sheets and towels once a week. Be sure to take your own coat hangers as there weren't enough provided. (We’d taken our own so this wasn’t a problem
The bathroom consisted of a wash basin, a loo and a shower tray with a curtain around it. I don’t believe any of the apartments have baths. The floors were constantly wet after showers as the curtains were pretty useless so please be very careful especially if you've got children! There was plenty of hot water during the day but got as bit luke warm around 7pm.
The complex has a small shop which claims to be the cheapest in the area. We found that this claim was true on most items. They stock items ranging from loo roll to tampax to sweets, wine and toys for the kids. The shop was open from 8.30 until around 6. They stay open much later on days when new arrivals are due.
There are 2 bars on site. One by the pool which was open from around 10am to 6pm and served drinks and ice creams. The other bar was open from around 9 until late and serves drinks as well as food. This is run by Paula and Tasos and George. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. On Friday night from 9pm there's karaoke and on Saturday night there's a quiz.
Rooms situated close to the shop/reception area can be rather noisy as the kids use this area to play football. Not a problem during the day but a pain when they're doing it after midnight!
The pool and pool area was very clean and well maintained. There were adequate sun beds and umbrellas. Bed reserving was rife but not a problem as there were plenty to go round but this might not be the case in high season. The only thing that needs addressing is the area around the kiddie’s pool which hasn't got a single umbrella.
All the staff were polite, friendly and very helpful.
I'd certainly be happy to visit these apartments again.

The location was excellent as it was only a short walk to night entertainment and restaurants.
The hotel staff were friendly and most helpful and nothing was too much to ask.
We went in October and the season was ending but even so the staff were most helpful and obliging.
The appartment was cleaned every other day and clean bed linen and towels were also changed every other day.

The staff at night were quite miserable which doesn’t do it for me on holiday. I prefer Greece where we'll be going again this year.
The place itself was clean but not a lot of scenery about.
Very Blackpoolish

We went as two families and loved every minute as I was in Cyprus at the Frogs bar a must go place that everyone should visit. I met a group of friends from home that I could not believe, then I stayed with them excellent.
Getting back to the hotel the staff were very nice and the owner looked like Sharon Osborne but she was very nice and owns most of the busses in Protaras. Get in well with her and you’ll get some free travel to Aiya Napa.
There was not much entertainment apart from the same old karaoke do not go to the Cheers bar unless you want to be robbed. Watch what they say you have had and you can't argue with them. I will be there next year but with friends in Aiya Napa and the same two families will be there, so watch out in September this hotel is excellent
