We visited these apartments as a last minute choice and were extremely pleased when we arrived. We were fortunate to have been allocated a 2 bedroomed bungalow (no. 16) right beside the pool and it was brill.Very spacious with a twin bedded room on the ground floor alongside the lounge and small kitchen (which is adequate enough for cooking). Upstairs is the bathroom (no bath) shower tho with plenty hot water, another twin bedded room altho much bigger than the downstairs 1 with plenty of space to store luggage etc. The balcony is attached to the upstairs bedroom with a great view of the pool. The complex is fab as are the staff (very nice and helpful)however there is NO entertainment at all in the complex or a snack bar where u could get daytime snacks, NO bar either sadly. Location is great as we prefer the quiet location away from the beach area but it can get lively at night out on the main street. The Italian restaurant directly outside the complex is lovely food is delicious altho quite pricy as is the supermarket adjoining the complex (better to shop for food at the spar nearby) Taxis are cheap to go to the beach (too far to walk) and shopping bazarrs. We are definately returning to the Parquemar apts this year along with our Welsh friends but going to request a downstairs loo this time as its no joke climbing the stairs in the middle of the night lol oh one last thing Ants and Cockroaches are present but complex staff will take care of this for you as will the local cats (theyre lovely)we had a great time but could def have been better had there been any entertainment or even music, but you make it your own dont you? Try it for yourselves I bet u'll love it.

We had an apartment that was not located by the pool. I can't speak for the little cottages, but the room we had was pokey to say the least. The cupboard stank of moth balls and so we were unable to use it. The beds were so small that if you were a restless sleeper, you would spend most of the night on the floor.

The reception staff were helpful but did want to relieve us of our passports over night on our arrival. This we declined and asked him to process us at that time. Not a place I would stay at again........

Have just returned from the parquemar and found these apartments to be excellent.

Staff very helpful, first day there locked ourselves out of the apartment but staff couldnt be more helpful, janitors managed to get us in.

We were located in an apartment on the 3rd floor which was great as it hit 35 degrees when we were there so it was great to sit out on the balcony as the wind was cool because we were high up.

Maids were excellent and always seemed to clean our room. Towels were changed 3 times in the week that we were there and bed linen was changed once in the week.

The location is brilliant the only downfall is that you are right next door to the centro commercial which has a few pubs and you can sometimes hear the music but it didnt bother us too much as it wasnt extremely loud.

Overall I thought these apartments were great value and would definately visit these apartments again.

I have to be fair, the staff were very helpful with all queries and the location is excellent.

However, I am very dissatisfied with the beds which were hard and uncomfortable. I think we only had one change of clean towels all week. There is some renovation work going on there and many mornings after a late night out we were woken up at around 10 am by a cacophonous dissonance of banging, drilling and knocking as workers replace the railings on the corridoors. They could have started a bit later to allow us to have a lien in!

Never coming back to stay in these apartments.. that's for sure.

The hotel never had any entertainment....at all. it didnt even have a bar area that you could have a drink. the rooms were quite nice.

We were there for a week and the maids only cleaned the room twice and gave us clean towels twice. when we asked politly if we could have a few towels they said no.

The water was always cold so you had to have an icey shower and it always flooded. A certain member at the reception was always complaining about something, we were not alowed 2 wear bikinis during the day.

It said it was a 24hr reception, but when we came in th 7am there was no1 there and had 2 get our own key which isnt very secure!!

We stayed here at the Parquemar for 4 weeks in a 2 bed duplex bungalow. Couldn't have wished for a better positioned bungalow, it was right on the pool edge.

Cleaners replaced towels and bedding regularly and were extremly friendly, but we did seem to have a huge problem with ants.

The location is ideal as all bars and restaurants are on your door step. First time away for Christmas but they don't seem to celebrate this festive time and that was the only thing I can say was a little disappointing, although New Years Eve was terrific with lots of parties and endless fireworks.

We have rebooked our Winter holiday at the Parquemar for this year, would highly recommend this small friendly complex to anybody wanting a quite relaxing atmosphere in all year round glorious sunshine.

We found that the accommodation was very clean and was adequately equipped for a self-catering holiday. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

The location of the apartments was very central to lots of commercial centres and had an abundance of bars and restaurants nearby. The pool was a bit cold but that was mainly due to it being November.

We would definitely visit these apartments again. We had a fantastic holiday and felt very 'at home' in the duplex.

We stayed in a duplex bungalow, very clean tho we had a problem with ants!

Lovely to have our own garden. Maids were very good and staff always very friendly.

Did not enjoy the long walk to and from the beach especially coming back uphill in the heat! Got a bit fed up with people who always reserved loads of sun beds with towells for big groups, when their owners did not emerge until late am/ early afternoon!

Otherwise a pleasant holiday destination.

We stayed in one of the 'bugalows' which we found very clean with regular maid changes of towels and linen.

On site supermarket has everything you need. Have to hire a toaster, kettle and safe but overall a great place to stay and nice and quiet.

A few negatives were that with a 3 and 5 year old the walk to the beach was 20mins + (uphill on the way home), however the taxis were very cheap.

The cooking facilities are sparse with a fairly random selection of cutlery/crockery and no cleaning equiptment.

The pool was a little too cold for the young ones with the toddler pool very cold - although it was February !

We stayed in one of the Parquemar studios, which are suituated in the main reception area of the complex,3 levels high we were on the first.

All the studios look out onto the main road, with the door and bathroom looking into the back where the bungalows are. The room was quite big and very clean, nice fresh white painted walls and nice clean bedding. The balcony was big enough for the 2 of us with large table and 2 chairs.

Maids came almost every day the whole 2 weeks we were there, plenty of clean towels and beds changed a few times.

There is no bar or entertainment which i liked for the peace n quiet when we came in after a night out. There are vending machines, computer and telephones in the reception area.

The pool is big and also a childrens pool too both are very clean and plenty of sunbeds.

A great supermarket and restaurant is on site too.The staff are very friendly and I would go back to these studios again.

These appartments were quite clean, some are in the main building (studios) others are two story, 1 bedroom down stairs separate to the kitchen and living room which were a good size, out side was a large garden, up stairs was another good size bedroom with a balcony and bathroom. the accomodation was nearly next door to La Chaparal complex with bars, restarants and shops. The beach was walking distance, but a cab was cheap. The staff were O K, you could rent things like fans from reception, there is no entertainment but all shopping and bar complexes were only a short walk. The pool area was clean and the sun stays on the pool till sun down, so longer time for children in the pool, there were icecream/lolly, sweet and drink machines on site. Only down side were cockroaches as there is alot of grasses areas
