| said: Having read all the reviews about Ozzy and Tariq, I expected a great holiday. However, my first impression of Ozzy was what a Lech he was. I also found him to be very quiet. We went in October which was end of season so maybe he had just had enough.
We spent no time at the hotel, maybe one day by the pool... Because it was quite boring and the ensuite toilet wasn't fit for a pig to use.
I found the staff rude and unhelpful and spoke little English which surprised me considering millions of English people stay there every year.
Paragliding was the highlight and I would recommend it.
I won't be going to Turkey let alone the Majestic. But each to their own I guess.

| said: Breakfast cleared away on the dot of 10, wouldn't even fill up juice etc just before so if you just scraped in for breakfast, you needn't have bothered. Tea stewed as well, disgusting! Never once did we get provided with serviettes with snacks etc, annoying with a child to clear up after and none to be had on any tables either - such a small issue but sloppy on their behalf, had to ask for cutlery as well - just no attention to detail, spoilt it so didn't bother with the evening meals based on the little choice and 'service' we'd experienced breakfast and lunch. From what i heard from other guests, we made the right choice not to bother.
Room not cleaned for 3 days in a row and in the end had to go on a covert operation to pinch towels from the cleaner when she wasn't looking as ours stunk - they just put them out in the sun, they don't replace them. Ants in the room and our 'balcony' opened onto the next rooms wall/window directly opposite - no pool/garden view as promised.
Attitude of the main staff was apalling, 1 bottle of water 1 lira, 1 iced tea 2.50 lira, buy them both together and it suddenly became 4.50 lira, made it up as they went along...
Not for us, think we'd been spoilt on a previous trip to a different hotel (fully booked sadly this time) so maybe we were expecting too much, but wouldn't go back to the Majestic, no atmosphere at all.

The food was nice but there was no choice. If you didnt like the soup there was no alternative. If you didnt like rice you were stuffed!
The room was not ready for our arrival. No sheets on the third bed for 2 days. They arrived at 2330hrs!
No shower door so bathroom floor was soaked and slippery. Shower didnt drain properly and so water flowed onto main floor. This was only fixed after 4 days.
My 12 year old son went back to the room to watch a dvd and upon our return we put the tv on. Channel 12 was 24/7 porn!
We only booked 1 month before and so got what we could. Never again.

| said: Will not be returning to this hotel ever again. Although Ozzy and Tariq were the best out of all the staff the rest of the boys were more interested in getting my 17 year old sister and 16 year old sister in law into bed!!! The food were very poor, you couldn't even eat in the breakfast room with all flys everywhere. There were 2 boys walking around late at night trying to peek into the groundfloors rooms!!! And my partners cousin had 2 bottles for Vodka stolen from her room. Overall wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, it's way overpriced for basically a 1 - 2 star hotel.

We kept in touch with all the staff from last year and what a fuss they made of us they were so pleased to see us again. Ozzy is just the best barman ever and ugar the manager is one of the friendliest people you could ever wish to meet. They made our stay this time even better than last year and last year was fantastic.
Location is spot on and the hotel is spotlessly clean.
Just the best.

| said: This was our 3rd trip to Olu Deniz, which is a resort that we love, however, we would not return to this hotel again.
As you can see from the scores, we do not believe it represented good value for money. The rooms themselves are very dated (albeit I believe they may have been mid-refurbishment on some of them, but sadly had not reached ours!). The toilet was broken upon arrival in one of the rooms. Bedding was threadbare and also the towels too. The carpet on the floor was very old and tired.
Food was OK, but the most simple that I have experienced in a hotel in Olu Deniz, due to this, we only spent 2 of the evenings out of 10 in the hotel on the half board basis, we chose to eat out instead.
We also had to pay addditional for extras such as air con/safes, where as in the other hotels we have not had to. We only ever saw 2 people working at the hotel - a young lassy on the desk who hardly spoke, and a chap behind the bar.
On the plus side, the location was very quiet and we had a room overlooking the pool. The rooms were cleaned daily and we were able to extend the stay.
If you are not fussy about the room and food, this is a reasonable hotel that would suit you, but if you are, there are nicer hotels in the area and closer to the resort centre/beach than this one, and in the same price bracket too

| said: In arriving at the Majestic we were quite pleased with the overall look of the Hotel, appeared clean and friendly. Introduced to the Rep, who we did not see again for the rest of the holiday!
Went to our room, and was shocked to see how small it was, could hardly walk round the bed. Had a strong musty smell, looked dirty and dingy. Thought we would stick it out though, as we were so tired after all the travelling. Went to have a shower a few hours later, this was broken so had to hold it up! Coming out freezing cold, and in droplets! Really had enough so decided to go and have a sleep, but this was impossible as the aircon was very noisy! I finally had enough, and went to complain at reception. Spoke to a young girl who said she couldnt do anything, wanted to see the manager but said he werent around! Finally after much complaining was moved to another room, which seemed to be slighlty better. Was bigger and luckily didnt have that horrible musty smell! Overlooked the pool onto a very small balcony. Paid for the aircon, which was very good at night, however was leaking and covered the wall in mould. Also had a few clothes ruined which were on the seat by the aircon! Shower was much better, nice and powerful unlike the other room!
The pool was nice, however had a shortgage of loungers, was impossible to get one after 10am. Only had breakfast once in the hotel, was a typical turkish breakfast, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber and toast. Not bad, however didnt fancy this every morning.
Good location, about a 5 min walk to beach and shops. Hotel was quiet at night, always had a good nights sleep.
Entertainment was ok, was a turkish bbq night, food was lovely! very enjoyable! had to wait over an hour for belly dancer to start, was ok got the crowd going. Fun night, apart from the wait.
Overall good holiday but unfortunately disappointed with Hotel.

We found the hotel to be very clean and our room was cleaned daily and the towels changed every day, sometimes the towels were a bit on the holey side, but always very white.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful location with mountains all around, and it is not far to walk to the shops and beach, a bus stop is just at the end of the drive.
The hotel staff were brilliant. We had some good laughs with them, be good to see them all again.
The Turkish night was very good the food was lovely and dancers entertaining. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

| said: It is interesting reading other reviews as I find it hard to believe how 'entertainment' can achieve a 5 rating. There was entertainment, once a week, and frankly the belly dancer was rubbish although the Turkish dancers were good. We only ate there once in the evening and the food was very good so you can be confident about staying there half board. Yes, the hotel is very well run and very clean but they have a problem with noise. Olu Deniz is meant to be for people wanting a quiet stay but the hotel allowed guests to make a lot of noice around the pool, sometimes until 5am (!) so if you find it difficult to ignore noise when trying to sleep, do not visit this hotel.

We were made a complete fuss of from beginning to end. The staff are so helpful and cannot do enough for us.
The rooms are kept spotless and the hotel is always cleaned to a high standard.
The staff keep everyone entertained throughout the day around the pool side and in evenings at the bar. My thanks to Ugur, Ozzy, Tarik, Adnan and Gulsum for everything I cannot thank you enough

| said: We went half board, although never ate there in the evening, (part of our holiday is eating out), althought the breakfast was very nice - traditional turkish.
The cleaners were in every morning without fail, sometimes a little to early if you wanting a lie in, but there are 'do not disturb' signs to put on door.
The location was just right for us, we enjoyed the stroll to the bars etc in the evening(about 5 mins to beach & 15 mins to the blue lagoon). Although because we where on the main road we were woken up every morning by the bin men(6.00am on the dot.)
Never really spent much time around pool/bar so can't comment on entertainment, but do know that they did water polo, and had bbq night & Turkish night.
If you depart the early hours of the morning and want the room for that afternoon, you have to pay an extra £20, well worth it just to make the most of your last day.
Wouldn't hesitate about going back again.

Ugar the manager was the most friendly and accomodating manager we have ever had the pleasure to spend the week with. Yes he really did spend the week with us and all our friends we made whilst at the hotel.
Tthe pool and the bar area was more than adequate and the rest of the staff were fantastic. Watch out for Mad Ozzy and Cookchef Adana who were the most friendliest and funny guys ive ever met.
The hotel is in the best location in Olu Deniz five minutes to the shops and the beach and a dolmus stops right outside to take you to Hisonaru or Fethiye.
We will be going back every May forever and we cant wait. The room door doesnt lock so beware of women in the night, push the button in so youll be safe.

The pool was a good size and kept nice and clean with plenty of sunbeds and sun shades around.
The rooms were also nice and clean and were cleaned daily by polite friendly staff.
The breakfast was the same every day, very basic but ok.
The hotel staff were friendly and polite.
As far as the entertainment goes we only had a Turkish evening with dancing and B.B.Q. which was quite entertaining, the only downside was they held a raffle during the evening and the prizes turned out to be an invertation to a local jewellers which was a rip off, so beware!
The only problem with the hotel was that the music from the poolside bar, it was so loud and I do mean loud and went on from early evening till one in the morning,
because of that I dont think we would go back to that hotel.

We would like to give special thanks to Tarik the barman,Gulsum and the two other staff on reception and last but not least Ahmet and Erik(rocky) the two waiters who we had such fun with, they were always up for a laugh.
Hotel is in a fantastic location surrounded by the mountains but only 5 mins or so walk from the beach, the hotel will even get someone to pick you up free of charge and drop you off at the beach.
You can't actually see any other hotel when lounging by the pool only the paragliders descending from the mountains.
Rooms cleaned every day and bed linen changed every other day, large rooms with big bathrooms and excellent shower. Air conditioning is very good but you do have to pay extra (£3 per day ) but it is worth the money.
We had lovely time and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of going to Olou Deniz the prettiest and cleanest resort we have ever been to.
Thanks to all the staff again

| said: Having previously stayed at the Karbel we tried the Majestic this time round. Nice and quiet hotel if you don't count the cock and hens and the pool bar next door which was extremely noisy on a couple of days!
Only 2 mins walk from the main shops and restaurants and less than 10mins to the beach.
Good: - big clean room with lots of space to put your belongings away - room clean and had a telly - balcony - big bathroom - room cleaed daily - decent size pool and lotd of sun lounges - we were able to keep our room until 11pm on our last day for only £20 - kiddies playground and generally nice grounds
Bad: - hardly any hot water, mostly just about luke warm - towels had holes in, one day we only had 1 towel between the two of us - reception staff unhelpful - very basic breakfast compared and had nothing left at 9.30am - aircon costs £20 a week!
Can't comment on the dinner as we never ate there. The hotel is truly a 2 star and very nice but we will go back to the Karbel next time.

The rooms were cleaned every day. And the general condition of the hotel was good. Although there is a fairly limited menu available, the quality of the food provided was excellent.
I would definitely return to the Majestic Hotel and would certainly recommend the hotel and its hospitality.

The hotel was suitably clean. I do not have any complaints about the hotel. It was a bit of a stretch to the beach in the extreme heat in July.
The rooms were cleaned and tidied every day.
The resort cannot be beaten and the Lagoon is a must if you are lucky you will see turtles coming up for air.
The menu was a bit limited but we ate out nearly every night. We stopped for the Turkish night and the barbeque, which was very entertaining, and got every one involved.
The town it's self was very nice not too busy.

| said: Having booked this hotel from teletext we wondered what it would be like and as we arrived in the very early hours were a bit dubious. But we need not have worried we were met in reception and taken straight to our room which was I must say quite large by Turkish standards.
It was spotlessly clean and was cleaned every day only down side was that the balconies are not very big and it was rather a squeeze to seat two people. Also they and the pool area are surrounded by trees so you get quite a lot of mozzies I got bit to death so take plenty of repellant.
The pool was one of the nicest and warmest I have been in and there are plenty of sunbeds and brollies. There is a pool bar which serves most drinks you require and a large screen tv should you want to watch anything although it is all in Turkish but some nights they do screen an English Film for you.
Staff were very friendly mostly students studying. Breakfast was Turkish plenty of it but it could get boring if you were there for more than a week. We were half board and although the evening meal was eatable that to tended to be a bit bland and not very exciting. We eat out a couple of times as there are plenty of restaurants and bars. All in all I would recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay here again as it was only about a ten minute walk to the main shops and about 30mins to the Lagoon.
