| said: We have stayed here 3 times. The rooms have 2 bedrooms good size for a family of 4. The kitchen has grill, hob, fridge with little freezer inside they were all very clean. Has glasses, cups, plates etc there is a dining room table with 4 chairs, settee which can be used as a bed, TV with some satellite, chairs & table on the balcony. The bathroom has hair dryer. Towels get changed every other day new soap and toilet rolls.
The back bedroom has big wardrobe in and the front has a smaller one.
The hotel food was good as you can buy a ticket for the buffet, all you can eat. The bar staff were very pleasant, there is a bar by the pool which is very good but sells a lot of chips and burgers.
The hotel staff were very friendly and always very helpful and the complex very clean.
The location is good close to the shops and the bus stop we were on the 3rd level and you can see right across the bay.
The entertainment was ok for the smaller kids, then they have singers on after the kiddie’s songs, they also have a little arcade room in the complex.
We have been to another hotel in Arenal but we like the Sol Isla we will always go back there.

| said: These apartments are basic. But I dont go on holiday to cook. The 2nd bedroom is a bit on the small size. There is plenty of wardrobe/cupboard space. The lounge diner is a good size. The bathroom is very small, one at a time, not so good if you have small children (ie under 4's that need watching in the bath).
The location is good, you are almost at one end of the resort but can walk the whole of it in 15 mins. The only thing is, while there is a bar beside the pool, there are no toilets, so you have to go back to your apartment.
The bar sells beer, ice creams, chips, burgers. But no coffee!
This is a good base.
