When we first arrived we were quite impressed with the size as it was a spacious apartment. We didnt get a welcome letter, we got an A4 piece of paper with a list of how much things cost if we break anything. When we went into the kitchen there was a towel under the fridge and the fridge was broken, the toaster had water all under it too.
The shower was also broken where it was attatched to the wall so it was a mission every time we had a shower. The tiles were all cracked too.
After a few days the toilet became blocked and flooded the apartment. When we told reception they were very rude to us and sent someone down who didn't even fix it. The apartment floor was covered in waste and water. The next day one of the receptionists gave us a different room key to stay in so we packed all of our stuff and went to the different room.
In the morning though, a maid, and the manager came in at around 8am, woke all of us up screaming telling us to get out because we were only supposed to be "showering" and using the loo. (Bearing in mind our room was 3 floors below and covered with waste still). So we explained that we couldn't have seriously have been expected to shower and wee 3 floors above then come back down and get ready to go out in our own faeces. They didn't care about us at all. Then we were without a room fullstop!!... luckily it was our last day anyway.

Don't go to this hotel!

Alot of things were wrong with this hotel here's a few of them;

The kitchen floor was covered in water when we arrived, including the kitchen side making the toaster wet and the plug sockets, not very safe in anyones opinion.
The light above the table in the living area was practically hanging off the ceiling exposing wires, it looked like it was going to fall off at any minute!
When you first run the tap/showher the water is a horrible brown colour :s
The Lift is just scary it shakes and rattles and breaks all the time, we had climb out of it one day between floors, helped out by a not very surprised or apologetic worker
The pool is tiny, i've seen bigger paddling pools, seriously and its filled with crap, i dont know what it was but it looked like bile floating around, ick, when you get out of it you feel all slimey

Also on our 5th night the toilet decided it didn't want to flush at all so we went up to reception who said they would send down a plumber, when we woke up in the morning the whole of the bathroom was splattered in water and about 3 inches deep on the foor which had come out into the hallway, the toilet was pulled away from the wall and the 'plumber' had put down one of our sheets to try and mop it up, we went to reception who didn't apologise but offered us a room key to use the toilet and shower in there and we asked them if someone was going to clean our room, they said they would sort it, pfft, they didn't and the room stank so we moved our suitcases up to the spare romm they had given us and slept there that night, we were woke suddenly by a cleaner and one of receptionists letting themselves into the room, shouting in spanish at us, the cleaner pulled at my bedsheets and opened the curtains saying we had to get out! the receptionist was saying he said we could use the toilet and that was it and that he had never given us permission to sleep there, they stood there shouting at us untill we had packed our cases and then literally pushed us out the door, i have never met anyone so rude in all my life, i can't believe the they expected us to sleep in a room the was covered in toilet water, but obviously they did! Also our room was cleaned the second day we were there and that was it! no clean sheets/towels nothing it was disgusting and covered in ants, we also had to go get our own toilet roll as the maid never came, theres more i could say but i think i've probably said enough to save anyone from staying here!

The only plus points about this hotel are probably the view and the location.

When we first arrived in Magaluf it wasn't what I would of expected. There was 6 of us, 3 couples. We booked in to the Torrenova playa and asked for 3 rooms near eachother, we got given room 001, 002 and 066 so we then had to chose who was going to be far away!

We decided to get 001 and were kinda dissapointed that we were next to the pool and right on the bottom. The rooms are plain but okay, nothing special. Its a self catering hotel but our hob didn't work. You basically have a kettle, toaster and a hob.

Our first day there we wanted to look around to find food to last us for our 2 week stay but couldn't find a supermarket, all the local shops are wayyyy over priced, I would advise to ask where there is a supermarket and get alot of food there, it will save alot of money!

To be honest I wouldn't really recommnd magaluf for couples, It's full of drunken 50 year old men who would do anything to get into young girls underwear, which would end up in the other half getting into fights! The spanish police are scary!

They have huge batons and guns and look more like male stippers than police! And don't leave your door open at night, you'll wake up to find a room full of lizards the next day!

Another thing, Heart attack hill isn't bad lol! It's steap but you get used to it lol.. I would reccomend this holiday toyoung single men.

We arrived at the Torrenova Playa on the 23rd of October, when booking we requested adjacent rooms, on arrival we were allocated a stufio on the bottom floor of the hotel and a twin room on the top floor, to be honest the rooms could not have been further apart if they tried. Staff were unfriendly. When we made our way down to our room we found that it was very dark and dingy, the paint was falling off the walls and the apartment was not clean, the bath had not been washed out and there was a dead cockroach under the sink.(This was the room on the bottom floor with three girls all aged 18) We decided it was ok, we were only intending on sleeping in the room, that was until we discovered that our toilet did not flush, and every morning we woke up to a toilet that was completely backed up with other people's waste. After a heavy nights partying this is not a sight you want to see. In the upper room in which two of the girls mothers were staying in there were no beds, just two sofas. The main light in the living area was undoubtly an electrical hazard as the wires were exposed. Thankfully we were not relying on the self catering faclities as a the cookers in both rooms were not working. The kettle in the upper room had bleach in it, which was thankfully noticed before usage. The lift was another diaster, it often got stuck and scraped the whole way down. The hill as mentioned by others unbelievable. Although bearable, the two older ladies on the trip favoured to get a taxi from the local shops up the hill at a cost of 3euros. The hotel was close to the local facilities, and local nightlife. On the Sunday night the three of us were lying in the bedroom chatting away before getting ready to hit the strip, one of the girls got up and went to the toilet, a short time later I could hear a trikle of water I assumed my friend had left the tap on in the bathroom as it was dodgy at the best of times, I ofcourse being lazy sent her to turn the tap off, although she quickly returned informing me that the tap was indeed off, by this stage the noise of the trickle had worsened, so the three of us headed to the kitchen to see if it was coming from there I went turned to switch on the light and luckily noticed that there was water pouring from the ceilling, well noteably from the light fitting, I can only thank god that i didnt turn the light on! As i would not be here to write this review today! We opened the door of our apartment to be greated with another stream of water coming through the ceilling, as a group we decided to split up, one of us went to reception to inform them of the problem, whilst the other two went to the room above to tell them to turn the water off, only to find that there was no one there but a stream of water flooding out from under the door way. We then headed up to reception to meet up with the other girl, to find a member of staff telling her we would need to move rooms ourselves and bring our bedding as they were unable to provide us with any more. He handed us a room key and left. He didnt even tell us how where are new room was, the other two girls went pack down to start packing, when i went up to get the mums to assist us. By the time I got back down to the room the water had spread all the way up the hall and all round the room. As we packed the water reached our ankles. Just as we were trailing our suitcases through water the member of staff passed us with two blankets presumeably to soak up the water, which would indeed be useless against the masses of water that had now flooded the apartment. He never even spoke to us as we tried to address him, he just walked on by. Not once did any member of staff apologise for our inconvience or check to see if we were ok. There is an extreme ant problem in the bar and pool area. Each day this area closes at 5.30, the staff are ignorant. On the Monday the bar ran out of beer and informed us that there would be no more, they also ran out of food and packed up the pool table and all but five of the sunbeds. I would not reccommend this hotel to anybody, it was a complete diaster zone, and just seems to be falling part, if you have already booked for torrenova playa i can only apologse for not getting this message to you sooner.

Just got back from the torrenova playa and what a great holiday me and the wife had. The apartments were large and spacious with air con and free tv. The rooms were very clean but the bathroom could have done with a lick of paint. Not one ant or cockroach was seen. The staff were excellent and the little shop was open 24/7.
We would defo stay here again

The hill was trying but my legs looked better in my bikini! Was close to the nightlife and shops without being too central. Great hotel.

The hotel wasn't as bad as I thought it would be after reading these reviews.

The view from the balcony was well nice and the beach was only down the big hill.

The hill really was "heart attack hill" and seemed worse when we were drunk lol.

The staff were quite friendly but one was a bit mean and rude.

The apartments were in the best location really close to everything and wasnt even that noisy at night.

There was quite a lot of ants but it didnt really matter that much cos we weren't in our rooms very often except for sleeping.

Our rooms got cleaned every other day but the only problem was that we didnt have enough towels, and the bath leaked but the maid mopped it up for us.

I'd probably stay here again cos it wasnt really that expensive for what we got.

Hotel was basic but clean, rooms were a perfect size for 2 people, yes there is a ant problem but it is not major.

The view from our balcony was breath taking and we were not over looked at all..no loud noise at night but you could here the night life from the room but that is why we went.

The Torrenova is situated ontop of a hill it is steep but only 5 Min's away from the night life. [well worth it].

The hotel staff were o.k but we did get charged 80 euros to keep our room open for 9 hours extra..which was nearly as much as the whole weekend we'd booked for the room cost, so beware.

I will be going back to this hotel again same time next year as we made some great friends from Nottingham. Mark [the printer]10.. Joe and there friends.

We went here on a hen party for the weekend and when we got there we were booked in fairly quick, but the rooms are fairly basic and have a serious ant problem. We never had clean towels for the 3 days we were there so that says it all really. Seen a maid once who give the room a quick tidy up. One good thing was the view from the balcony it was beautiful and it was really quite at night as well never had a problem getting to sleep but did not come in till about 6 am.

The staff were all helpful.

Very basic room. Approx 10ft wide, a bit small for my liking, 2 sofas which were our beds and not very comfortable. Very strong sewerage smell which would be difficult to live with if you planned on spending time in the room. Fridge didn't work and it took a day to get it fixed. Maids changed the towels daily and gave it a general tidy up.

Staff were friendly enough.

We got to the hotel on the Saturday night after been on the go all day and our first thought was oh my god what have we booked, the loo was filthy, the tiles had big cracks on them.

Then when we saw the kitchen the loo looked ok,the doors were hanging off the frames. The fridge was a mess ( but it did work ) we could not put bottles on the door it had no bar to hold them in and it was so small when you had a few bottles or can in it was full.

We thought the room area was shabby as well, the light was hanging off the wall and the area again needed a good clean.

The nice part was the balcony. Sunny all day and an ace view over Magaluf beach, and down to the very small pool area.

We made the most of the holiday, did not spend to much time in the room,

Oh yes that hill, I go to the gym 5 days a week and boy did I find it hard going,my partner was fine but I found it just a bit too steep.

If you do go visit Sammys bar out the hotel, go left dont go down the big hill walk by that till you get to stairs on the left. Go down them and down the small hill honest its a small hill, and sammys is next to the hire shop. Fab staff, pool table, sat tv ace for the footie and Trish does an ace cheese burger.

After reading other reviews on these apartments i was a little worried about what i would find, especially as we had a 3 year old with us.

On arriving at our apartments we found our room to be fairly spacious and clean. It was basic but there was everything you needed. A maid came twice in the week that we were there and changed sheets etc and she was friendly.

Reception staff was also friendly and helpful when asked anything.

The first night we stayed was fairly noisy but after that night we had no trouble and the hotel was fairly quiet and we had no trouble sleeping.

We had a lovely view from our room and the balcony had plenty of space to sit out on.

The only thing that let these apartments down was the small pool so we opted for the beach everyday and the very steep hill to get back to the apartments after being out all day. The hill never got any easier although we did find that if you went into a cafe at the end of the beach there was a lift that brought you up through Triannon 1 apartments and you cut out half of the hill.

All in all we found these apartments satisfactory and wasn't as bad as some of the other reviews made out.

This hotel is in a prime location in walking distance from the main strip of magaluf the only problem is that it is situated right at the top of "Heart attack hill" which as people have said does not get easier as the week goes on.

The staff were reasonably friendly they will smile at you but the do not seem to speak very good english.

the hotel itself is the worst ive ever seen the room smelt really horrible when we first arrived we had an infestation of ants, the walls were cracked. There was mould in every room we also had yellow water. Outside our room we also had a lake of water from what looked like someone had left a tap running and the water was running down the walls.

There was no entertaintment at the hotel but you dont really need it when you have the main strip within walking distance. however it would be better if the bar was open a bit longer as 9 is very early to go out in magaluf.

Don't stay in this hotel if you want to be kept awake all night with loud music banging doors and young people running down corridors naked. The hotel is full of young ones between the ages of 18-20, but you do get the pool area to yourself till about 2pm because they sleep in late after waking everyone else up coming in between 4 and 6am.

The staff were very friendly at the pool bar. We decided to eat there one day but i was totally put off as there were ants on the table and on the floor.

The rooms were cleaned every other day and the view from the balcony was the sea which was very nice.

I like to chill out after being in the sun but it was impossible in this hotel. The steap hill was a nightmare but on the way back at night we stopped at the bar in the middle so it wasn't too bad.

When we arrived we weren't the happiest people as we had been delayed.

I asked when we booked the holiday to be on the top floor, but we werent - we were on the 3rd floor. As soon as we opened the door we saw 2 cockroaches followed by another 5 or 6 during the week, asked the maid to spray something but never got any results. There were ants all over the floors and dressing table. The bathroom tiles were all cracked and falling off the wall.

As for the staff I cant really complain as we didnt see much of them.

As for the hill, that didnt bother me because they didn't hide that fact when I booked it.

The hotel was situated on top of a hill and it was quite steep but it did give you good exercise after all the good food you can eat whilst in Majorca. It does get easier as the week goes on.

After reading all the bad reports on this hotel I was very weary about going there but I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean, the room was massive and so was the balcony. The view was amazing as well.

The hotel was situated close enough to all the nightlife and supermarkets and shops. I thought the hotel was in the perfect place and I really enjoyed stopping there.

The pool area is not massive but it very clean and the pool bar serves plenty of nice food and drinks.

The hotel staff were very helpful and always said hello and goodbye.

There wasn't any entertainment on in the hotel but when your in Magaluf you don't really need any as theres plenty of other entertainment you can visit in the bars, pubs and clubs.

All the rooms had air conditioning which helps a lot when it's warm. It has a card on the door key which just slots into a hole, but all we did when we went out of the room was to put a tesco club card in the slot and it kept the air con on.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back to both this hotel and Magaluf.

We didn't try the food in the hotel but it did look very good. The staff always seemed to be happy and helpful. The best thing about the hotel is the view, get a room on a high floor and the view is amazing.

The hotel doesn't go direct to the beach. You have to go down half of the hill then down 100 steps. Going down ok, coming back up not so easy!

The hotel was filthy, rooms not cleaned before we arrived, no clean bedding, staff were so unhelpful although the cockroaches entertained us. Had to ask for clean towels and toilet roll. Toilet was dark green with a little light so you could not see to shower.

Hotel at the top of a hill so for any unfit people, families or anyone who never came on holiday to climb mount Everest just don't go there. Rep offered to move us to the East Coast away from nightlife (that's why we booked the centre of Magaluf).

I have just got back form a holiday here and found it pretty good. The hotel was normally always clean except form a few leaks in the roof here and there.

The maids were fantastic and always cleaned to a high standard. A few of the reception staff were miserable and a bit sharp but were still helpful even if they had a face on !

The hotel is situated a a big hill and it's a struggle in midday heat but at night you just sort of stagger up it and don't really think about it !

Our rep was absolutely brilliant and she was always around if there were any problems with your room etc.
Always managed to keep a smile on her face too which was a pleasant change from the receptionists.

No real entertainment in the hotel but we went out during the day.

Couldn't have asked for better staff they were great our rep was so lovely she always come and spoke to us she was a second mother to us all.

Not much entertainment in the hotel but that didn't matter we just had to go outside for fun. When I come back I will be staying at the Torrenova Playa for sure

The Torrenova Playa Apartments were a pleasant suprise after hearing some bad reviews.

Don't expect anything luxurious but for a week in Magaluf with your friends they were perfect.

The rooms were clean, and the daily maid service was excellent. She did move things but didn't tidy them away, and left you with a nice clean bed to crawel into after a night on the town.

The other staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were also tolerant of noisy and lively guests.

Warning this is not a family hotel in peak season, as did tend to be noisy throughout the night with people coming and going. However, the groups of young people made it very easy to make new friends.

We thought this hotel was very nice and clean and very bright. Our room was spotless and in perfect condition, and was well furnished and decorated.
The beds were a pain though. Two seperate couch things that if you want to sleep as a couple had to be pulled together. Only problem was they had 3 sides each, meaning when together they did make some sort of cot as I read in another review of this hotel!

Satellite TV stated in brochure consisted of CNN, eurosport, German MTV and a pile of Spanish channels, so dont hope for too much to watch!

All rooms had amazing view out over Magaluf beach/bay.
We didnt use the S/C facilities as we ate out every day but they looked fine, kettle, toaster, fridge, hob, sink, etc.

All rooms had aircon which was great in the nights to get a comfortable nights sleep. The keyslot power thing for the room takes anything card shaped not just the keycard, so slip a tesco clubcard etc in there and keep your key on you, and you can leave the aircon on whilst out to come back to a lovely cool room!!!

Only two complaints we had.

Although we found this in the main airtours brochure, there were lots of groups there on escapades holidays as its also in that brochure, hence they were very noisy and we were woken every morning at 4-5am by our neighbours coming home, either running about corridors screaming, banging on the doors, having very loud sex, etc, etc, but I spose what do you expect for coming to Magaluf!!!

Secondly the pool area is a total disaster.
The pool itself is tiny, about the size of a small room, and the sunbeds are crammed in so close you are practically sat on top of each other.
The pool area was mega busy all day long and if you didnt get down by about 11ish you had no chance of getting a bed all day!

We didnt try any food from the poolside bar, but saw others eating there and it looked ok.

Dont buy any alcohol from reception, its literally half the price in the supermarket down the road, and most other food stuff is about 30-40% cheaper too!

The staff were great mind, always helpful and friendly, and when we complained about the 5am noise they put a sign up in reception asking everyone to be quiet coming back, so they do care about your complaints and try to act on them!!

View from all rooms is brilliant.

Cleanliness in the public areas was OK. Bar is a converted cellar and closes at 8pm every night,
however, the general state of the rooms and the building is appalling. Paint peeling off, plaster was cracked, ants and other wildlife abounds. Cats urinating on the sunbeds was enough to stop us using the pool area.

Staff were ok but the manager is prone to berating his staff in public which is not good for moral of staff or visitors.

The hill gets steeper every time you have to climb it
rep was good but banging his head against a brick wall as the manager didn't really want to know about your problems.

Could be so much better with some investment both in time and money.

We visited this hotel recently and found the hotel staff very friendly even when we were coming in at 6am!!

The hotel was very clean as was our room as well.

The snack bar served pretty basic food but it was nice and the tables were spotless.

The hotel was located at the top of a hill so may not be ideal for people with walking difficulties but if your fit and able then its fine. Its a 5 minute walk from Magaluf beach and not much further to "the strip".

We definately enjoyed our stay there so much so that we plan to go back next year.

Hotel situated at the top of a very steep hill. You could very well slip walking down the hill. Not recommended for those with young children.

Hotel staff quite friendly. Very hard though to find an English speaking maid.

Entertainment non existent while we were there.

Yep, they're right - it is on top of a 'hill'. Nicknamed Heart-Attack Hill infact! Apart from that, the location was a bit too far away from Magaluf - right at the top of the hill above the strip.

The rooms were not very clean, mouldy, dusty and just plain dirty. the balcony was not washed once while we were there. the sheets were changed every 4 days, which we expected to be every day.

We didn't even try the food - the dining room put us off.

The Hotel Staff were sympathetic to us, but could hardly understand. The kept saying to complain to the Reps. (The Rep for Airtours was completely ignorant and made us feel petty for complaining. I complained abour her seperately to Airtours)
