| said: Just returned from this lovely hotel, hotel was very clean rooms made up every day. the food was ok plenty of choice and well presented.only downfall was that is wasnt very hot. The toaster at breakfast time was a nightmare only one available and unless you like your toast still white and warm you need to be prepared to put it though 3/4 times to get proper looking toast. If you have difficulty walking or suffer from heights ask for a low floor. our room was nearly at the top and it took 5 lifts to reach the pool area. Most of the staff were very good, reception staff were excellant very helpful. The bar staff were a bit hit and miss sometimes very efficent, other time couldnt careless.Entertainment every night was ok. Even though i wouldnt visit this hotel again we wouldgo back to gran canaria weather fantastic but resort a bit on the quite side. all in all had a really good time. there is a free bus service down to beach and in to Taurito it self USE IT because it is long way down.

| said: Arrived at the hotel early hours of the morning and the check in was efficient although we had to find our own way to our room which involved 2 lifts but this was not apparant.
We only stayed for 7 days and the week we were there, the hotel was relatively quiet so sunbeds were plentiful and getting drinks from the bar was not a problem either. However the week before was extremely busy and waiting was a problem.
The food was good, breakfast was repetitive but this is the same in every all inc I have been on. The lunches and dinners were varied and we found that we could eat something different every day.
The drinks available in the restaurant were excellent, you could order a bottle of wine with your meal and the quality of it was not like vinegar..the only problem we did have was when you ordered a beer in the bar or round the pool, you were only ever given a half pint glass and they do say only one drink per visit, this is not true, near the end of the holiday we were actually ordering bottles of wine as it took less trips to the bar.
Rooms were lovely and made up every day. View was excellent from the balcony and there is a courtesy bus to the beach, Mogan and Peurto Rico which saved alot of taxi fares.
There is a local spar shop which doesn't sell an awful lot but has essentials (litres of wine 89c) ideal for those late nights on the balconies. All in all I would definately go back to this hotel.
As for the waiters (they are not that friendly even when you tip) they are there to do a job and do not really interact with the customer which is a shame....

| said: Reception staff excellent arriving at 3.30am after a 12hr journey from the UK. Delighted with rooms and views but being built into the side of a cliff it would be hard not to get a decent view. The road to the hotel is a disgrace. The hotel should never have been built or opened until this had been completed. Very limited bus service to beach and other resorts.
Reception, rooms and pool areas kept clean with exception of the glass especially at the infinity pool which totally ruined the effect it was designed for, and also the balcony glass. When this was mentioned at reception he joked about it and said it was all dirty and only got cleaned every 3/4 mths.
The dining experience was a disaster area as far as we were concerned. Salad only diners would cope although it was very repetitive. It was impossible to get a completely hot meal with some of the vegetables looking and tasting as though they had been reheated from several days before. We frequently had our table cleared while we were away choosing our next course. Take your own teaspoons as they seem to have a shortage. Severe attitude problems in the dining and bar areas especially from senior waitresses in the dining area who seemed to think the guests were an inconvenience. Avoid sitting near one of the food clearing stations as the noise is more reminiscent of a school canteen, in fact school canteens are probably quiter.
Avoid the entertainment which is noisy and amaturish.
We met a couple who had been here two years earlier and could not believe the drop in standards since there previous visit.
Overall this could be an excellent hotel in an excellent location I am just grateful we didn't visit in the high season. The management of this group of hotels need an urgent look at this place before it slides any further.

I would advise you to go to the market at Mogan(about 8 euros in a taxi) or you could get a taxi to Puerto Rico for 15 euros(each way).
My husband & my self would go back again.
Entertainment is a bit on then weak side and the bar a bit slow (get 2 at a time )but its not to bad on the all.

| said: We visited this hotel during the half term holidays, with our son aged 12 years, and our daughter of 5 months.
Overall, the hotel was average, clean, but not very well organised. the most disappointing part must be the waiting staff, thouroughly unhappy in their work, rolling eyes and sheer ignorance if you ask them for anything.
Only one pool bar serving drinks until 6pm, thank goodness it wasnt peak season!
The animation team are young girls from holland who are more interested in themselves and their visiting families than the guests.
We have been on countless all inclusive holidays, and this was most definately the worst for timings of snacks etc.
All that said, the weather was lovely and we enjoyed some quality time out as a family.

| said: Was disappointed with this hotel. Had booked a studio.
Normally studios have sofa beds which can be made into seating during the day.
In this room there were two twin beds which really made the room feel small and there was only one armchair for seating. The room had a fridge and two cooking rings but only a small frying pan for heating up water for drinks.
We were situated in a room on the top block of the hotel which entailed taking three lifts and walking up three walkways and two lots of stairs(with cases) to get to our room.
We were given rather vague instructions on how to find the room on arrival and wandered around in the dark before finally finding it.If we went to the lower swimming pool we had to get four lifts plus walkways and stairs down.
The food was average for a four star, often tepid and repetative and on one occasion the only vegetable was tinned carrots. The hotel was quite a uphill hike from the small resort. The large lounge seemed only to be open at night when first there was entertainment for children, then loud music and an entertainment act, nowhere to sit and have a quiet conversation with fellow holidaymakers apart from a few chairs in reception.
The positives were that the hotel was kept very clean, the staff were friendly and the view from the hotel across to Puerto Mogan and the sea was lovely, though somewhat spoiled by the ongoing construction of two hotels directly across from the hotel.

| said: Hotel and rooms are nice and clean.
Towels changed daily if required.Beach towels provided.
Food in restaurant not very good have had better at 3* hotels in the past. Food only lukewarm and either over or under cooked. Meal times chaotic as there is no organisation at all. Don't bother with the packed lunch as you only get an apple ,yogurt, jam and butter. No meat or bread is provided yet they put in a knife fork spoon and toothpick.
Staff all miserable and not very helpful. Smokers are pushed out onto a small balcony as the hotel lounge is non smoking and that is the only bar open at night.
All inclusive guests seem to get treated as second class as the staff are only interested in paying guests, but they forget we have already paid up front. All inclusive guests only get the cheapest drinks.IE:If you are on half board and are paying for your drinks you get the good spirits and bottled mixers. All inclusive guests get cheaper spirits and mixers from a dispenser. Only choice of 3 cocktails and these were pre mixed. All tailored for German guests.
Entertainment. What entertainment. If you like kids clubs up till 10pm then you will be in your element. No courtesy rooms available for when your due to fly home as you have to be out of your room by 12 and we were not getting picked up till 8pm. No chance in keeping your room on either. Only 3 rooms available with 30 min slots to have a shower. Once these are all taken you have had it so get there early.
Would definately not visit this hotel again as it is very badly managed.

| said: Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Mogan Princess for the last two weeks in June. We had a brilliant time and would both recommend this hotel for everyone. We felt June was the best time to come as it was not too busy and we were never left having to wait for a table at meal times or having to reserve a sun bed with our towels as there were hundreds. The hotel is very big and it can take a while to get to your room but once there it is worth the treck. Ours was spotlessly clean with a nice balcony, fridge, hair dryer and they are all air conditioned. You can pay a bit extra to hire a safe which is always a good option.
The reviews we read were all very true and helpful. I can see why someone would’ve rather stayed somewhere else if they were looking for a party holiday as this is a very quiet resort. Also, those who have trouble walking will struggle with the steep hill to get up to the hotel (although the hotel does run the odd free bus to various places that will be pick you up directly outside the hotel). The positive reviews state that the rooms are very nice and clean, the staff are helpful, the food is nice with a good choice and that the resort is a good place to go to for relaxing. This is exactly how we found the Mogan Princess to be and it even surpassed our expectations. I read a lot of bad reviews about the entertainment at the hotel so we went away not expecting much in the form of activity and amusement. Again our expectations were proved wrong as we both felt that the entertainment was good, definitely not as bad as a lot of reviews had claimed (perhaps the Princess Hotels bosses read the reviews?). There was always two entertainment staff on during the day running activities such as pistol/rifle shooting, archery, shuffle board and water polo/aerobics for everyone to get involved in and those that came 1st, 2nd or 3rd would get a certificate on stage in the evening. All the activities were announced over the public address system as well as being listed in the lobby of the hotel.
Every night there was different entertainment on in the bar starting at around 10pm, these would be acts such as tribute bands (Abba and the Bee Gee’s) or circus/juggling acts. I thought they were all pretty good and they all tried their best considering there was never a massive audience.
The food at the Mogan Princess was very good. Neither of us had staed all inclusive before and didn’t know what to expect. They had allsorts to offer to cater for everyone, even very picky people (such as me!). Breakfast was from 8-10.30 which offered toast, croissants, bacon, sausage etc, as well as fruits and even vegetables! Dinner time was from 1-3 (if half board this was not included – although for 20 Euros a day you can upgrade) and was in the outside buffet restaurant. They had a big table full of salad with a chef next to this offering up a choice of meats. They’d usually always have some type of fish, with pork and chicken also being a popular choice for the chef. Most days I would get one of each then go back for whatever I liked best if I was still hungry. They always had plenty of chips too! Drinks were served by the waiters, if you were half board you would sign for them. Tea was served in the same restaurant as Breakfast, between 7.00 and 9.30. Here they would offer more meats and pasta with signs on each one in Dutch, Spanish and English. Again the waiters would give you whatever you wanted to drink and you could go back for more whenever, it was great!
There are two pools in the hotel. One is downstairs and has a bar there for drinks and snacks during the day and one was upstairs for adults only. We went to both as the main pool was never full of children anyway, and it was near the bar! The views from the adult pool were amazing and looked onto Mogan, very nice!!
The resort is called Taurito and is a 5 minute bus ride from Mogan or 10 minutes away from Puerto rico (bus number 1!). Here there are about 5 hotels and a beach offering jet skiing, we both really enjoyed jet skiing and I wanted to do it again, but keep an eye on the time because they will drag you off early if they can (and they did!). The island is very easy to get around on busses or taxes which are average price. We recommend a trip to the sand dunes in Maspalomas, the Amadores Beach which is man made with white sand, Puerto Rico for souveneir shopping (during the day!!!), Mogan (on Friday, market day), Aqua Land in Maspalomas (so much fun!!) and the surf and turf trip excursion (with Thomas Cook) to see dolphins and have a jeep ride into the heart of Gran Canaria.
To sum up we both loved Gran Canaria and the Mogan Princesss, we would defiantly go back although we would think about staying in a different Princess Hotel to see another area.

| said: We holidayed at Mogan Princess on a half board basis.
Absolutely perfect for us as you can venture out for the day and just need a small bite to eat as breakfast and dinner were both great. The only possible grumble would be the food was not always very hot and one day not enough meat options for my partner.Apart from that the food was fantastic with a lovely selection and very helpful chefs.
Hotel room to our surprise was two rooms, one with bed the other with sleeper couch and kitchenette. Two bathrooms and two balconies with breathtaking views. We spent much of our holiday on the balcony taking photos.
Location of the hotel is a little out of the way for those wanting lots to do on their holiday but if like us you wanted to relax and have some peace and quiet this is definately the place to go.
The daily animation/hourly activities are a little poor but good enough to keep my partner quiet for quite some time. The free champagne for winning some of the games was a great perk and we got to know some lovely people this way.
Evening entertainment was at times a little corny but fun all the same. Each evening the 3 euro cocktail of the day was a hit for me.
Would I visit this hotel again? Absolutely but I would go for longer than a week.

It did unfortunately rain on one day which meant that getting around the hotel was a little hazardous due to tiling.
The pool area obviously gets wet and witnessed quite a few little ones slipping up and banging their heads - try telling children not to run! Wide variety of food served at breakfast and evening meals, catering for all nationalities.
Slow service in bar areas in the evening, mainly due to understaffing. Varied entertainment each evening for adults at 22.00 hours for about 45 - 60 minutes and then most people disappeared.
Beware if you go for an evening stroll as the road leading to the hotel is not completed and are mainly unlit therefore you could quite easily injure yourself.

The views are fantastic, as are the resturants, the boat trips (dolphins/whales) are great and cheap.
There is just about nothing bad to say about this Hotel or Gran Canaria
We will definitely be going back prob next year.

Food varied and plentiful and always hot and constantly replenished by the staff.
You really need a car to appreciate the local area
Puerto Mogan is worth a visit with its charming harbour and shops not to mention the weekly market.
A little further is the lovely man made beach of playa amadores which has ample cafes and restaurants for lunch.
The only downside was the entertainment very poor which meant that the bar was almost empty everynight. We tended to use our balcony for a night cap.
If you are looking for a quality hotel with good food in quiet surroundings then this one is for you.

| said: The Mogan Princess is a well run hotel, with extremely helpful staff, every request we made was fulfilled immediately. The hotel was immaculately clean and the maid service was excellent. Both of the pools were spotlessly clean, though a little cold.
We stayed over Christmas and the New Year and the food was excellent, the normal buffet was replaced by waiter service. For the rest of our stay the evening meals were very good, plenty of choice with a first class salad bar. I never managed to get to dessert!
The location is brilliant with amazing views over Playa Taurito and Puerto de Mogan. The only things that let the location down are the fact that the pools are in the shade until 11.30, and it is a bit out of the heart of things. It's OK walking down to the shops but on a warm day it would be quite a struggle doing the 1.5 km walk back up.
Entertainment was average, probably be better without Emilio.

| said: We booked a late deal (week before)at this hotel and knew where we were going. We wanted a little sun and a little luxury just before the Christmas rush! We got exactly that! We had a junior suite which is two rooms with interconnecting doors, one had beds the other fitted kitchen and lounge furniture. It meant we had a bathroom each. The hotel is clean, and superior, the food could not be faulted, we took the option of AI later in the week and were not dissappointed, even cocktails were included! The hamburgers were freshly cooked as were the salads and pasta and there was a good range of dishes in the evening as well. The pools were wonderful and sunbeds easily available with no silly towels on beds. There was entertainment every night but we didn't go, it was lovely to sit on the balcony and relax...the views are breathtaking!
The location is a bit out of the way and up a steep hill, a bit daunting when you first arrive late at night but everything you could need is in the hotel. We only ventured into Puerto Mogan for shopping one day, we went in the courtesy bus and it was a nice short trip, we took a taxi home and that was not expensive. Puerto Mogan is called Little Venice, very aptly! A lovely village type area with a harbour and marina, lots of nice little bars and coffee shops.
I would definately go back and take my son who is special needs and feel that he was safe in the hotel and in Puerto Taurito and Puerto Mogan.

It was a lot further from the beach than we first thought. The hotel runs a free bus to and from the beach but timings are poor.
The hotel was very clean and the rooms were suites which we weren’t expecting but fully used both rooms. Food was uninspiring with pork, veal and chips every night but salad bar is excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful but getting drinks from the bar can take a while.
Entertainment wasn’t brilliant but we weren’t't that interested anyway. I would definitely stay in this hotel again

| said: The hotel was opened in 2003, which is a great feature of this hotel, since everything is quite new.
It is a aparthotel, which meant that our room had two interconnecting rooms: one wiht the bed and bathroom and another one with the kitchenette, sofa and another bathroom just equal to the first room. Since we were Full board we hardly used the 2nd room, which was really a waste.
The rooms have wonderful views, because all face the beach and the bay.
The hotel location gives it its great views but has many inconvenients. It is located above the other hotels in Taurito beach, which all belong to the Pincess group and are quite old looking. To reach the beach you have to walk about 1,5 kms because the there is no direct downward path, just a road that pushes you far from the beach. So this is not a very pleasant journey under the sun (yep, no shadows).
The hotel supplies a bus to Taurito, Puerto Mogan and Puerto Rico, but its schedules are not compatible with lunch (if you rely on it, you will miss lunch). Also, this bus serves all Princess Hotels so it can fill up rapidely. There are other public busses but about 750 mts from the hotel.
The hotel is beautiful with its 2 large swimming pools and the bar has a balcon which is gorgeous at sunset. But other than that there isn't really much to do.

| said: Please refer to my analysis of the resort, which complements the information about the hotel: Playa de Taurito: http://www.holiday-truth.com/resort_review_details.php?resort=Playa%20De%20Taurito
Taurito beach is very basic and the beach itself is unguarded and wiht dark sand. there is a huge swimming pool private in the area, which, as far as I can remember is very expensive. And you won't need it if you saty in Mogan Princess because it has 2 huge adult pools, one located in the 2nd floor of the hotel and both overlooking the bay.
Mogan beach and Mogan village are picturesc and worth the visit. The beach is much better than taurito. The hotel has a free shuttle to this village, but it is incompatible with lunch(we were FB).
Puerto Rico is also nearby (by car or bus) but bustling.
All in all, it is a beautiful hotel, with not much to do, and we eventually get stranded there unless we rent a car(which we did and was well worth it, even to go to better beaches and not depend on the Princessbus, which serves all hotels in the are and tends to get late and fill up quickly).
