| said: We arrived at the Asena Beach in the early hours of 17th August. We were shown to a room in Block 0 and upon looking out of the window could see that we were opposite a bar on the strip. At 3.00am in the morning we were a bit alarmed that there were still people drinking in the bar and music playing. Our second night then arrived and we realised that the noise from the strip was going to be unbearable and not allow us to sleep until 2.30/3.00am every night. We were then moved to a room on the third floor of block 8. This was quieter but the noise from the pool bar competed with that constantly coming from the strip. The Thomas Cook representative did not seem at all surprised that the room in Block 0 had been noisy and neither were the hotel reception staff - why use the rooms if they are that noisy. The beach was lovely and the weather could not be faulted. However, we do not feel the hotel offers a relaxing holiday for couples seekihg peace and quiet. Parts of the hotel did seem a little tired and in need of renovation. The maid service was daily, however, we did have to have a word with our 'rep' with regard to the emptying of the bins in the bathroom following which they were emptied daily. We had to pay £25 to keep our room until 8.00pm but note the Thomas Cookweb site says that we should only have been charged £16!

| said: The Asena Beach Hotel was a very good hotel, very nicely located about 5 minutes to the beach front and about half an hour in July heat to the lagoon.
The pool bar staff were great fun and quick with your drink and lunch orders, we had burgers, chicken sandwiches, omelette's etc.., put them all on the hotel card and then paid it off at the reception every few days.
Games in the pool every afternoon, volleyball, water polo, good to watch, but I didn't join in a bit rough at times.
Went to the Hotel barbecue night with lots of entertainment, including the waiters dancing!!
Good breakfasts, something for everyone.
No noise at night, was in block 3 on level 3. Great rooms, small shower for a large husband, but room cleaned every day.
Pool very nice, lots of sunbeds both in sun and in shade if you prefer.
Would go again, perhaps earlier in the season.

| said: We stayed at the Asena Beach Hotel in September 08. We had 2 rooms, 1 room was my husband, 16month old baby and myself and the second room was for my mother. The rooms were in block 7 that backed onto the main strip and unfortunately were very, very noisy at night. We also were put on the top floor which was up 3 flights of stairs, which was an issue as carrying a small child, buggy etc was a mission to say the least!!. The rooms were very clean, and the maid service was acceptable. The air conditioning in both rooms was not great, as it struggled to cool the rooms and that was not in high temparatures. The Hotel provided a cot which my daughter struggled to sleep in as the mattress was very thin and she could not get comfortable. The shower was very small.
The Hotel staff are friendly, but not over bearing and the location is ideal. The only issue was if you wanted to go to bed before midnight and your room is in the blocks backing onto the strip then you will be listening to karoke till early morning.
Breakfast was okay. The staff do work hard to try to entertain you, however Bingo & Karoke are not my style.
If you are travelling with a young child that cannot walk or struggles with stairs, or disabled then this Hotel is a nightmare as there are loads of stairs and hardly any ramps.
I am looking to book this hotel again, but will stress that I am not in the blocks that back onto the main strip, as it really is very noisy. The Hotel was friendly and very helpful.

| said: This was our 7th visit to the Asena Beach Hotel, this time we booked direct wih the hotel and found the whole process so much better than booking with a tour operator. The mini bus was waiting for us as soon as we stepped outside the airport, no hanging around for other people, we were soon on our way to the hotel. We arrived to be welcomed by our freinds from previous years, Sulyeman the reception manager, thnaks for all your help.
Our rooms , 3 in total were all in good positions and as always nice and clean. Money has been spent on the rooms, new windows and curtains.
The bathrooms are clean but the showers are very small. We didn't really use the mini bar although the prices weren't too bad.
The pool area hasn't changed still a lovely pool but the bar area needs some work, we had been told 2 years before they were getting a new bar! The chairs ere very uncomfortable and this rally needs looking at for next year.
I had heard the pool toliets were disgusting, with Urine flavoured air freshners!!! I didn't use them, I would go to my room. The hotel management say the toilets will be renovated over the winter months.
The staff generally were great. What can I say, our old freinds Young Ramazan, old Ramazan, Ozzie how great to see you all again. Some new staff Micheal Jackson Bob and Eddie, great guys, hope to see you all next year.
Entertainment in the hotel wsn't the best and where as in the past the pool bar would be open until the laast person went bed this year we was told "goodnight we are closing now!" How disappointing!! We ended up not going back to the hotel.
Our kids (12 and 14 ) went back to the hotel as they met lots of freinds and spent time in the Terrace bar, and had a fab time.
Breakfast in the hotel was a bit of a let down this year, no omlettes! The staff all tell us it is due to 40% price increases and everything has gone up and so the hotel has had to cut back alot. Very basic breakfast and not alot of choice. We didn't eat in the hotel in the evenings as we were B&B. We ate out at many nice resturants, but the hotels Fish resturant " Captain Hooks" is one of the best in the resort, we would definately recommend. The service and quality is fantastic, especailly the Sea bass, which they filet for youj at the table! Delicious.
All in all another great holiday, i hope the managemednt spends the money on the hotel over the winter months otherwise it may loose some of its regular visitors.
we looked at other hotels but after constant winging from our kids and husbands have agrfeed to go back next year!
I hope we won't be disappointed:-)

| said: I have just returned from a family holiday at the asena beach hotel in Olu denez. I have been to the resort five times before, but this was the worst hotel i have stayed in. This was a big surprise, because it had a good reputation. The entertainment team were unfriendly and the activities rarely took place. 2 games of water polo and only one water gym in the two weeks we were their. The drinks and food were expensive compared to other hotels. The rooms were clean and the clearners were fantastic, but the room descriptions were not accurate. the mini fridge turned out to be a mini bar, full of expensive drinks, which were checked by the hotel each day. During the holiday 7 of the gropu were taken ill. two were taken into hospital with ear infections. the hotel showed no concern. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Regardless to other reviews the breakfast was fine, plenty to chose from, bioled and scrambled eggs, omlettes some morning, toast, fresh bread jams, fruits etc. If you wanted an English breakfast and fresh orange you pay a small charge. There was plenty of juice tea, coffe etc. It was served from 7.30 and 10 am, but if you went at 5 to 10 they were still putting fresh food out. the location was perfect on the strip but behind, so quiet at night. The pool and surrounding area were beautiful. The staff, well what can I say they were amazing couldn't do enough for , they made our holiday specail especially Cihan, Mohamad, Goucan. Ramazan, Emma , thank you all.A very big thank you to Selda our cleaning lady.
We would highly reccomend the Asena Beach Hotel.

| said: Just returned from a 17 day holiday at the Asena Beach. We have been to the resort of Olu Deniz four time before but this was the first time at the Asena Beach. We stayed bed and breakfast but purchased a flexible dining option which they operate. We purchased six nights evening meals and got the seventh free. This worked out at £5 each per meal.
The room we had had two beds and an extra bed was provided. The hotel have a number of large family suites and we will certainly ask for one before we go next year.
The rooms and the hotel are spotlessly clean. We could find no fault with the room or any part of the hotel. The room itself was modern with laminate floors, mini bar and TV.
Having stayed at other hotels in the resort in the past the food at the Asena beach beat all of them. There was plenty to eat and the setting of the retaurant made it a pleasure to eat in.
The hotel is situtated in the town and is ideally located for every thing. Having said that we never had any problems with the noise from the town.
The staff at the hotel were excellent and could not do enough for you. We made a number of friends there and could not fault any of them. They all worked extreemly hard at making the holiday enjoyable. We also found that the staff enjoyed what they were doing.
There is some entertainment at the hotel put on by both visiting acts and the hotel staff.
We are already planning to return to the hotel next year and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

| said: well we went to asena beach in june. And it is by far the best holiday ihave ever had!
The hotel is situated in a wonderful setting. It is literally a two minute walk from the beach (if that)!
Well that is if you can get past all the shop owners! Saying that though, they are not half as bad as people make out! If you don't want anything simply just keep walking!
As for the beach, numerous amount of sunbeds.. the sea wow!
Clear blue.. fairly cold but when your in that heat its just wonderful!
Also there is lovely beanbags and table to sit at whilst having a drink and bite to eat from the cafe which is simply a hut(but very dilicious!)
The hotel staff, well they made our holiday!
People say they were annoying and in your face..
which i canunderstnad.. but if you understand there humour it is fine! They are simply there too make your holiday enjoyable, and they genuinly mean it!
Be warned though, you couldd be pushed into the pool.
It's fine, they will only do it if your actually sunbathing during the day, not if your on your way in or out!
I really cannot fault this hotel.
When we were leaving all the staff we had made friends with saw us off in the morning, and believe it or not it was very emotional!
We are planning to go back as soon as!
It is actually amaizing!
But obviously not everyones cup of tea, but it is definately worth a try, because the settings will certainly make up for it!
Get booking.. you qon't regret!

| said: The asena beach hotel was in a good location, close to all the shops and restaurants and a 2 minute walk to the beach.
Asena has a fantastic pool area, nice and clean.
Our room was not up to scratch on arrival, but a word with reception and it was soon spotless, I can't fault the maid service, clean towels and sheets 10 times out of the 2 weeks.
There was a waterpolo game every afternoon, this was the only entertainment I noticed.
There was a pool party, a Turkish night, a bbq night, and a foam party, these were free if you were half board.
Be wary of the "card" system they use at the pool bar,
we cleared our tab every couple of days and found there was always an error on the bill.
My daughter went to kids club run by the hotel once and came back early.
There was little entertainment for kids, all the theme nights started at 10 and by what I saw were not what I call suitable for kids.
Captain Hooks restaurant attached to the hotel very good with 10% off for hotel guests.
Breakfast was ok, lots of olives, fruit, cheese and pastries but to be fair there was cornflakes, boiled eggs, occasional scrambled eggs, they cooked omlettes twice when we was there. A full English breakfast and fresh orange are extra.
I think this hotel is ideal for couples or older famillies.

The Terrace bar is quiet and I think they need to think about the entertainment in here, to compete with some of the outdoor entertainment. Rooms are a bit on the small side and we did have some problems with water in the shower after around 6:00pm. But this is our second time here and we would return.

| said: My husband and I (in our 30’s) have just returned home from 2 weeks at the Hotel Asena Beach in Olu Deniz. The first thing that struck us when we arrived was how friendly the staff were. We got to the hotel at 3am and the reception staff were very helpful and even made us a cup of coffee. There are many great members of staff at the hotel, Ozzi, Suleyman, Ali, Esat, Cengiz, Hatash just to name a few. The bar staff and waiters double up as the entertainment staff on hotel theme nights such as the pool party and karaoke night and they form the group ‘Asena Boyz’ who do plenty of dancing!
The breakfast is quiet basic and included the usual contionental spread. You can pay extra for English fry up but we weren’t interested in eating too much first thing in the morning. The food in the Half Board rooftop restaurant is excellent. The homemade soups are delicious, as are the sweets. There is plenty of choice so everyone is catered for. The lunches at the pool bar are also delicious, but beware the portions are HUGE. We ended up sharing a dish between us for lunch as one each was too much. The drinks prices in the hotel are a little bit more expensive than some of the bars outside but not by much.
The location of the hotel is excellent. It is very near to the beach and close to the bars, but far enough away that you can still have a quiet night if you want to. There was always plenty of sunbeds available and as it’s predominantly English people who stay there, there were no Germans to put their towels out early!
At first, we thought the room was a bit small and it was hard to get two people in the bathroom without getting in each other’s way. This turned out not to be a problem though and there was enough space for clothing and a good safe in the wardrobe. The only thing the room lacked was a kettle and cups for tea or coffee. We learnt later in the holiday that you just call reception if you want a hot drink and they will bring it to you.
The standard of maid service depends on which maid you get. Our maid, Hatice was lovely, she put flowers on our bed a few times and made love hearts with the towels. She had a couple of days off and we could certainly tell the difference. The general rule here is be nice to the maid and she will go the extra mile for you.
This is the first holiday we have been on where we have said we definitely want to go back. This is undoubtedly because of the friendly nature of the staff and the facilities at the hotel. Would we recommend this hotel? Without a doubt!!

Friendly staff, pool bar, terrace bar and moonlight terrace, have friendly staff with a couple of good shows a week from the staff.
We stayed half board the breakfast is bland you have to pay extra to get any more than toast and cereal, the evening meal are just ok no more no less than that they can both do with a big improvement.
We were made to feel welcome by the staff rooms cleaned 6 days a week very good as well.
We will return to this hotel.

Room was lovely and clean, maids in every day who looked after you. The food was plentiful with lots of choice, but on some occassions the food was only luke warm which spoilt things a bit.
Staff are very friendly, but a bit over keen to take your plates away.
Hotel is in a ideal location not far from beach, shop and restaurant. The pool is kept clean.
Entertainment was ok we stayed for the Turkish night, but beware they sell raffle tickets to win gold jewellery which sounds very good but, this is to get you to go to Fethiye gold centre, once there you are followed around to try and get a sale from you.

| said: Room cleaned every day by very dedicated staff. Bedding and towels changed daily.
There was a very good choice of food which included an outstanding array of salads (all very fresh] and desserts. The only reason I gave the food an average mark was because of the cooked food, it was just not hot enough. Luke warm food is a big no no in my book.
Hotel location is fine if you want to be on top of the bars and shops etc. Step out of the hotel's front door and you are on the main "strip” This was our main problem with the hotel. My wife and I are both fifty seven and want a bit of peace and quiet now and again but with the constant loud music coming from the hotel pool and surrounding bars this was impossible. I don't want to give the impression that we are a couple of old f***s,far from it but if you like a bit of a siesta in the afternoon or want to get to sleep before 2am at night...forget it! Most people will think we are too fussy, maybe we are but I'm trying to be truthful for all those "fussy" people out there.
I read all the reports about this hotel before we booked it and it had rave reports, all of them are true but no hotel is perfect and we've found the older you get your likes and dislikes change, so this is for all you "oldies” out there.
Staff are so helpful and friendly, they can't do enough for you(special thanks to Hero and Reception Manager)It was like going back in time to the old days in dear old England when you used to get SERVICE, remember that? Our bags were taken from us as soon as we arrived and whisked away to our rooms while we signed in and were given a cold drink...ah bliss. The service was like this for the whole fortnight, they even collected our luggage from our rooms when we were going home. For example...I stupidly picked up the wrong bag at the airport and didn't notice 'til we were in our hotel room at 5pm.I told reception what had happened and was told not to worry and go and relax in my room. Ten minutes past and a porter came to fetch the case I'd picked up by mistake and it was taken to the owner 3 hours drive away in another resort. My bag arrived at 10o'clock that night as if by magic and was brought to our room. I’m sorry but that’s what I call service!
Entertainment was ok but it was just a bit of dancing on a couple of nights ,it was free if you were half board but had to pay if b&b only.
The only reason we wouldn't return to this hotel is because the pool and its noise is far too close to the rooms. If you like your kip.....take ear plugs.

| said: We were a family of mixed ages (70's to our 3 year old) visiting Turkey for the first time. We booked the Asena Beach Hotel Half Board, based on the good reviews it got and quite frankly we were disappointed. We only stayed a week and by the third or fourth day we were eating in the restaurants in the resort. My daughter and I do not eat meat and there was very little choice for us to eat and not once did I see fish available. We did complain to the manager one night and he couldn't have been more helpful as he brought my daughter some battered fish from Captain Hook's restaurant. Breakfasts were the same every day, and after a few days we didn't even bother to go to the restaurant. I don't ever want to see a hard boiled egg ever again!
The staff were really wonderful and accomodating. They work very hard and they were pleasant at all times. They made a tremendous fuss over our daughter, but at times it was too much for her. I really felt sorry for the staff actually, we saw where they lived, in such cramped quarters, no airconditioning and earning very little.
Our room was very clean and adequate for the three of us, albeit small. The maids were very effecient, friendly and thorough. We did lack hot water most evenings and had to ring the front desk, but it really was never sorted out.
Our room was inbetween the restaurant and pool and if you wanted to get to sleep before 2am it was impossible. They had evening entertainment of sorts above the restaurant, and 'very loud' music at the pool bar which competed with each other. This is fine if you are young and don't have children, but not what I want when I go on holiday. One night we gave up and decided if we can't beat them, let's join them, so we all decided to go to the entertainment above the restaurant The waiters were putting on a show of the 'Full Monty' and when they didn't drop their trousers at the end, the manager went and pulled them down. I'm sorry but this is not appropriate for family entertainment.
We loved Olu Deniz and the Turkish people are wonderful. The staff were lovely at the Asena Beach Hotel, but would we go back? No. We go on holiday for a rest, good food, entertainment and lovely sun. We got the sun and very little else.

| said: On arrival we were helped with our cases to the rooms which were small for 3 people, but manageable. Every day our rooms were cleaned and linen were changed and on 2 occasions they decorated the beds beautifully with flowers.
The hotels has 5 restaurants - We ate at Captain Hooks and The Chinese Restaurant that belongs to the hotel and the meals were fantastic. On the terrace restaurant there were occasional turkish nights and barbecues which was beautifully presented as a buffet. Ertas and staff at the pool bar ensured that my 16 yr old son was kept entertained and thoroughly enjoyed their friendship due to lack of kids his age there, due to being at school.
The hotel was kept spotless at all times and the pool area was lovely especially at night when lit up. I will always remember a certain floral smell about this hotel, but I couldn't trace it, it was lovely.
My only complaint about the hotel, is in my opinion, that it was costly for drinks. The card issued by the hotel was useful and meant we didn't have to carry money, but my son used it 'too' conveniently. This was paid up whenever we chose to and receipts were available.
The Asena Beach is a very beautiful hotel.

The hotel was absolutely brilliant, the staff were so kind and very friendly, especially Oner, Fatih, Oz, Edi, Zafir, Irslem, Gohkan, Batu, and Memet-restaurant. They made our holiday so much fun!
The entertainment was really good, especially Turkish night, pool party night, bbq night.
The location of the hotel is ideal for families, and the turkish people are so nice. The rooms are clean and they are regurlarly cleaned...watch out for mozzies though!!
The food is very good, but does not cater in the evenings enough for young kids..no burgers, chips, pizzas etc.
We liked the hotel so much my friend and I are returning by ourselves in October 2004.

| said: I am returning to stay at Asena Beach in October 2004 for the 3rd time! The hotel is in a fabulous location and is handy for the beach, shops, bars and restaurants but it also feels quite quiet and peaceful. The rooms are cleaned daily to a very high standard. We eat at the hotel quite frequently as the food is of a very high standard, and the turkish nights and other entertainment they offer are always good fun to attend! The hotel staff are most helpful and friendly, perhaps some of them can be a bit too friendly, but i think that is just turkish men in general! They never offend and it is all done in good fun! The pool area is lovely with a bar serving snacks all day. The only small criticism i have, is that all meals, drinks etc purchased at the hotel are charged to a kind of credit card that is yours for the duration of your holiday. This means you have to settle the bill at the end of your stay, when i'm sure a lot of people, like myself, would like to pay for things when they have them. However, this does not affect my view of the Asena Beach in any way, and i cannot wait for my next visit in October!!

| said: The Asena Beach is an excellent hotel and we would recommend it to anyone.
Tthe hotel gardens are kept immaculate and the rooms are kept looking fresh and clean by the maids who have to be the friendliest people ever. they even decorate the beds with flowers.
We ate at Captain Hooks one of the hotels restaurants almost everynight we were there for the two weeks, this can work out quite expensive but it is well worth it for the quality of the food and the excellent service you get. when we told the staff we were eating at captain hooks they would decorate our table with flowers.
The hotel couldn't be in a better location in our opinion it is just five minutes walk from the beach and all the bars and resaurants are right outside captain hooks. you dont need to travel far at all.
Entertainment at the hotel in August was great with a pool party every sunday where the staff would dress up as women and just mess around. there was kareoke at the terrace bar and bingo. and in the day you could play football or water polo. you were never bored.
Even though everything at the hotel was great the thing that really made the holiday were the staff at asena beach, they are so friendly and up for anything! if you ever found yourself with nothing to do you could just go to one of the bars have a drink and a chat, they always ahd time for you.
We all used to go out when they had finished work so they became your friends we are even in touch with some of them even now.
Must say a big thanks to Ertas, Seskin, Muzzy, Boris, Ramazan, Kemal, Memhet, John, Micheal you are fab!
Miss you all loads and cant wait to see you all again!
cant wait to go back to asena beach, and if your reading this go book your holiday there now you wont regret it!
