| said: Just returned from a week at Mimosa Park. Having read reviews before travel was a bit worried about what to expect. We were unfortunate to have a week of poor weather with only 2 really sunny days but apart from that the holiday was brilliant. We are in our 50's and our main holidays are cruises but we like the odd weeks break just to chill out. The location of this hotel is the only slight down side as it is slightly out of the main area but by making use of the exit from the pool area rather than the main door it is literally only a few minutes walk down to the beach and shops - I am not the best at walking but I did not find this to be a problem. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful - yes it could do with a bit of a face lift but hey this is 3 star and very good value for money. The food was amazing to be honest - every evening there is a carvery and we enjoyed beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and veal all in the week and all well cooked and very tasty. There was plenty of other choices too with vegetables and salad as well. Desserts are mostly the usual but there was rice pudding, lovely profiteroles and, my own favourite, bread and butter pudding too. The drinks in the dining room did seem pricey but we only drink water with meals and we did take our own bottle of water in with no problem. The staff in the dining room are just great and do a fantastic job. We did stay in the hotel some evenings and the entertainment was excellent for this level. The four strong Thos Cook entertainment team had unbelievable levels of energy and enthusiasm and some evenings they performed and other evenings acts came in - we saw a Boogie group who gave a brilliant show which we would have been happy to pay for. There were also activities around the pool during the day but due to the weather we only managed 2 days there! One bonus for me here though was that there was no incessant blaring music all day which drives me mad when I just want to relax or read. The room was basic but perfectly adequate with air con provided. I requested 2 extra pillows and they appeared immediately. A bonus was that the TV in the room had actual BBC1 - not just the usual World Service so on a particularly bad weather day I sat in bed and watched Bargain Hunt! Do not be afraid to book for this hotel but do not expect to pay for 3 star and get 5 star.

| said: Very disappointed with this Hotel, went on a family holiday, ages from 6 - 73, a couple of stage parties going on which is not good with all the swearimng going on. The bar staff are miserable if you are on an all inclusive as they dont keep getting tips. The food was very poor, and even though we were on an all inclusive the nice food from the bar wasn't included!!!!!! The location is not good as it's up a hill about 20 mins away from the beach. Overall we would not go back to this Hotel, and would not recommend it.

| said: Myself and my husband have just returned from a week at the Mimosa Park Hotel Palma Nova. The hotel is very dated and could do with updating. The reception staff all spoke very good english and were polite and helpful. We were on the 4th floor and had a twin room. The room was very small with twin beds a balcony and a bathroom with bath and shower. The bath looked ancient with horrible stains in it but the shower eventhough it did not look like it worked perfectly. The walls to the rooms as so thin you can hear everything your neighbours get up to, even turning the lights on and off was noisy. The were quite a few young girls on our floor and they would come in from a night out in the early hours of the morning and make lots of noise, we didn't have a undisturbed night the whole time we were there and that was with wearing ear plugs.
The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels were put in the rooms daily so I could not fault the cleanliness.
We stayed half board and the food was plentiful but there wasn't much variety, chips every night. Breakfast was good with a good variety from fruit, cereal, toast and full cooked breakfast.
The evenings were a bit boring, there was some entertainment but it wasn't up to much. There was a kids disco and a game of bingo, then some kind of entertainment act later on. Most people sat drinking and playing cards.
I think if they spent some money on the hotel updating it then it would be a lot better to stay in but as it is we won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who likes a good nights sleep.

| said: We arrived at the hotel early hours of morning due to 4 hour flight delay, relatively quick check-in although the manager was slightly miserable!
we had a room on the 9th floor which was at the front of the hotel - there was a busy road in front and alongside and you could hear some traffic noise but it didn't bother us at all. Nice view tho could overlook the mountains. Nice good size balcony, bedroom basic and small but ok for just sleeping in! third bed was pulled down from the wall but we just left it down all week - easier. bathroom was nice and clean and all we could ask for the price! Television could get bbc news 24 and a few other channels, mostly in spanish (but what else do you expect!!) Air con which was a real plus and no extra charge like in most hotels!
there are 3 lifts so your not really waiting long for them, except on a couple of occassions some lads were holding them all!
On the same floor as reception is bar/entertainment area, arcades and play room for the children, lobby area, luggage room and internet area (reasonable prices.)Left our luggage in the luggage room and we felt secure leaving it!
Going down the stairs again there is a nice sized shower room/changing area/toilets which they give you a key for on the last day (which we were grateful of to freshen up before flights!)
Access to pool area - we only stayed by the pool 1 day out of 7 - was always busy and had to be up at 7 am to get a bed!! There were rules that you couldnt put a towel over the bed but this didnt seem to make much difference! Beach was only 5 min walk away and long long stretch of lovely beach!
Restraunt on the same floor as pool access - plenty of places to sit for food no matter what time you went. Food constantly being re-plenished and always plenty of choice each night. Plenty of choice for breakfast each day.
Can't comment on the entertainment as we never stayed in to see it. but there seemed to be a lot on the display boards.
Plenty of pub clubs near the hotel but not near that you can hear/see them. 20 min walk to magaluf along the beach to the main clubs/pubs. Plenty of little shops and stores, a spar nearby for supplies if needed.
All in all, for a cheap week away we were pleasantly suprised! rooms cleaned regularly and cleaners were lovely.
some things to point out: we did see a cockroach in the dining room running on the floor but it didnt bother us as it was only one and there are bound to be some somewhere,
another thing, one morning after heavy rain we woke up to go to breakfast to find a few inches of water in the corridor! we told the manager on our way down to make him aware, he said 'its normal' but that didnt spoil anything as by the time we finished our breakfast and went back to our room it was all cleaned up.
and finally, water was dripping through our light in the bathroom, we mentioned this to the reception who said they would sort it but never did.
but dont let those last things put you off it really was a nice hotel, nice location, nice food for the price! (water park nearby worth a trip also!).

On first impressions Hotel looked impressive. Check in fast. 2 of our Families were on the second floor and the rest on the 9th. Our room 217 had 3 beds and 2 pull down beds a Family Room. The Bathroom had 2 toilets and 2 showers pure luxury as I had a daughter who was almost 15 and she takes hours in the shower so I could shower at the same time.
The Pool was fantastic and not really a need to get up early for a bed as was always ones free. I got up early as I wanted to be near shallow end of pool for my young Son.
The food was excellent both at Breakfast and Tea-time. They also have a Pool Bar for Lunch and that was also excellent as we were not all inclusive.
The entertainers were all fantastic. A big shout out to Andy Mac from Scotland, Lauren, Katie, Laura and Ralph who came in on his days off as he was a Rep also. These guys worked so hard during the day from 10.30am till late at night. My Son and his friends took part in the games during the day and if they won they got Certificates at the end of the Mini-disco. Once you had won 3 Certificates you got a Medal. The shows at night were a mixture of Entertainer shows the Mimosa High not to be missed among another few. The ones that came in were good also, the Bejing Acrobats not to be missed also. There is also other acts that were fantastic also too many to mention. They also do Bingo and you win Money. I won 81 Euros one night. So it is well worth playing Bingo, depending on how many play the more money you can win.
I would most definately go back to this hotel as we all had a fantastic time there.
The Staff are also very helpfull.
While we were there 11 out of the 13 of us went to The Famous Pirate Show and is was out of this world for both Adults and Children. So if you get the chance please book and go you will not be disappointed. We booked with our Rep Emma from the Hotel and she was brilliant. So dont delay and book.

| said: Just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel with my 9 yr old daughter. Very impressive from the outside, lovely reception area, very nice looking compared to other 3*'s I have been too.
Room was on the 2nd out of 9 floors. Which suited us as we hate stairs! FOund that the room faced out onto the main road at the back. I had requested not to have this, but we persevered and found that the traffic noise wasnt really an issue. Shut the patio doors and stick on the air conditioning and your fine! Room was basic, but fine for the 2 of us. Cleaned every day.
I had a spot of Spanish Tum one night, not nice. But not sure if it was a bug or something I ate. Just enough food for an adult to choose from, tho I think they could have cut down on the amount of salad items and provided a few more choices for the main meal Wee one struggled to choose anything other than chips each night.
Entertainment was really good! Andy Mac is the head entertainer, a lovely Scots guy from Paisley. Laura, Lauren and Katie all did a fab job too. A few strange "hired-in" shows during the week (very weird hypnotist show, and an even stranger one called Cosmic Cabaret!), but their own shows were fab!
They had a few stag parties in, and they put me and my daughter right opposite a group of 8 of them!!! The noise for 4/5 of the nights was awful. Had to complain one early morning.
Also had a complaint about the cleaning staff, but I will be taking this up with the hotel directly very soon.
I know I have mentioned a few negatives here, and I am sorry if it had put anyone off! But honestly, the hotel was fine....even my daughter says she wouldnt mind going back and staying there!

:The shower worked very well.
First impressions were pleasing, decided to visit pool
bar and have a look around, pool bar staff were not very pleasant soon learned to give a euro, when we went to get a drink.
Staff in the Dining room, which was down stairs, were very pleasant, the food had plenty of choice so even
the pickiest of eaters could find something to eat,you never had to wait for a table.
The location wasn't perfect you had to go dowm the back stairs. It was only a 20 minute walk along the sea front to magaluf.
The hotel enertainment was really good the was mini discos and clubs to keep children happy.
My grandson had his first crush at the age of three on one of the entertainers Lauren. The evening timetable was Childrens disco,Bingo and a show. The entertainers worked really hard making cocktails every day at 12.00 and a quiz throughout the day.
We would visit this hotel again for the price we paid we had a bargain!

| said: We stayed in this Hotel during Oct half term. My first impression of this hotel was that it does need some refurbishment.
The rooms are very basis and small. However, there was enough wardrobe space for us with plenty of hangers. The room was very clean, cleaned daily and fresh towels ecery day.
I thought the food was very good for a 3 star hotel. There was plenty to chose from including traditional dishes. The vegetarian options were also good. Yes - there were chips on most of the time but there was also alternative potoatoe dishes provided along with a good selection of salad and vegetables. If you are going out for the day you can order a packed lunch at reception the evening before, this was excellent and there was more than enough food. The dining room does tend to get crowded, we tried to sit away from the main area which was more relaxing.
The pool area was clean and there were plenty of beds available plus a life guard on duty. The evening entertainment was quite good, I havent had much expereince of this so cant really compare it to anything. The entertainment team worked hard and were always enthusiastic. In the evenings there was a kids disco, then bingo and then some sort of show. Whilst we were there there was a parrot show and a magic show which were both good.
The hotel was in a quiet area and we were never bothered by noise at night either inside or outside of the hotel.
We really enjoyed our week and would return again.

Was all inclusive, fine during the day, but you try and get a drink in the evening, if you like to stand in a long line for 10/20 mins & only allowed 2 drinks per bar visit, this is the hotel for you. If the bar problem was rectified I would go back again, but the bar problem would make me think more than twice about revisiting.
Staff helpful & polite.
Flight-transfers all fine.
All in all we enjoyed our holiday and had a really nice time, no hotel is perfect, overall the mimosa park was good value for a 3 star hotel.

Top marks go to the entertainment team... The shows were excellent and we even managed to win some money on the Bingo...
A word of praise to the Direct Holidays reps... excellent informative welcome meeting... with a little "surprise visitor" added on.. Great stuff girls...
Now the downside... sadly the Hotel has introduced All Inclusive..but without the extra staff needed to cope with the long bar queues...after all people have paid extra for this and should be able to expect good service

The single bed was a pull down bed and was adequate for our 12 year old. The entertainment team were absolutely fantastic, probably the best we've ever had in Spain but they wont be the same team next year, apparently they have to change hotels each year.

| said: We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. The reception, entertainment areas were clean and tidy, we are unable to comment on the entertaiment as we did not feel that we wanted to be in this hotel in the evening.
The pool area was very cramped, plenty of sunbeds but lined up like sardines, this was not a problem to us as we prefer to use the beach.
The food was good, always hot but repetative, chips with eveything. The restaurant staff struggled to empty tables and set them again, it was much easier to do this yourself.
Our room overlooked the road, this was always busy the noise beginning around 6.30am.
The rooms are basic but clean. The biggest problem being the walls ! these are paper thin. Be warned !!
We enjoyed our stay in Palma Nova, this being our third year here, but there is no way we would go to this hotel again.

| said: We stayed at the Mimosa Park in mid August there were 13 of us in total with mixed age groups we were all allocated rooms on the fifth floor.
Our room was 529 and on the end so we never heard anything also had a sea view and pool view. Towels and beds made every day and the maids were very pleasant to us even when we stayed in the room a couple of times to sleep they said no problem and came back later.
The food was very varied and plentiful and was replenished frequently my 2 children ate more than I thought (they are 4 and 2) and the staff in the restaurant were lovely even when my little girl spilt a drink on the floor the lady smiled and cleaned it up and then spoke to my little girl and put her at ease.
The room was a little cramped and in need of refurbishment (could do with a lick of paint) but we were really happy with how clean it was.
The only thing that disappointed me was that Funtasia was closed the whole 2 weeks we were there when I enquired at reception the lady told me that this had not been open for a while. Our children kept asking when they could play in there.
The air conditioning was very good and although it was warm outside we were able to sleep it was also very quiet.
We would recommend this hotel to friends and we would go back again.
The daytime entertainment was very good and we took part in all the quizzes and open the box. We went out every night so cant comment on night time entertainment but the team were very good.

| said: We have just returned from the Mimosa Park and can honestly say that we had a wonderful time. I didn't bother too much with the previous comments, as everybody has different opinions. I decided to just for myself. After all, I am a firm believer in that your Holiday is only as good as you want to make it.
We booked the Hotel and Flights on the internet and after a 4.1/2 hour delay with Easyjet, we finally arrived in the Hotel at 5.00am. The reception area is well equipped with chairs, sofas and a nice decor. We were given a room on the eight floor, and to be honest, for two adults and two children (8&6), it was a little cramped. We had three beds together and a pull down bed as well. We knew that the only time that we would be in the room, would be for changimg and sleeping, so this wasn't too much of a problem. The air conditioning was certainly a bonus. There were three settings, and we had it on at full during the day and at the mid point during the night. I am sure that they have larger family rooms, but with the Hotel completely full, they have to try to cater as best they can.
In my opinion, the Hotel is in a reasonably good location if you have young children. It is only a five minute walk to the beach, but is set far enough back from the centre, that you do not get the noise from late night revellers.
We were all impressed with the food on offer as well. You would need to be really fussy to find a problem with the food. I was quite surprised how much the kids ate, as they can be lazy at home with eating. The kitchen staff were always busy, making sure that all the items laid out, were replaced as soon as they were nearing empty.
I have to say that some of the bar staff did not seem interested in their jobs and looked to be going through the motions. Some of the restaurant staff however, made the effort to have a bit of fun with the young children.
With regards to entertainment, where do I start? I have to give full marks to the five kids (Andy Mac, Anders, Stuart, Claire & Jenny). The effort they put into their jobs was exceptional. From around 10.30am until after 11.30pm, they were wonderful. What a refreshing change to see young people actually take pride in what they were doing, and they actually appeared to enjoy their job. The evening entertainment was so good, that we did not have to go out the Hotel any of the evenings during our Holiday. This was a first for us, as we normally like to go for a wander, to see the surrounding sights, bars etc. Our kids had a ball at the Mini-Disco and even joined in the customary Bingo. The shows that were on, were very good as well, and generally finished around 11.30pm each night.
The only thing that I can honestly say I found irritating, was the fact that I had to get up at around 7.00am each morning for the Towel Run, to get a decent position around the pool. I couldn't believe how many people had actually been out prior to this and left their towels. I am sure outwith the peak season, it will be easier, as the pool area is quite large.
All in all, it was a pleasure to stay at this Hotel, and we would certainly have no problems with returning in the future. I just hope the management can hang onto their entertainment team, as they will have a hard job trying to replace them.

| said: I'd already booked our holiday before finding this site. I really thought i'd booked a duffer. So on arrival, we were all pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a family room on the first floor facing the road and next to the main entrance to the Hotel. I thought this was not an ideal place for a family room, bearing in mind that the whole of that floor and location was exclusively for the hotel's family rooms. The road noise was not really a problem but the noise from guests arriving and departing at all hours of the night certainly was with some guests being less considerate than others. Anyway, in summary, the entertainment was faultless whatever age group you fall in to. The entertainers are first class, Claire, Jenny, Andy Mac, Stuart and Anders absolutely made our holiday for us with a diverse cross section of entertainment and the daily supply of free Sangria and Pina Colada at the poolside demos. Our "kids" are 12 and 15, boy girl respectively and they were very well catered for in the hotel's entertainment package during our stay both day and night.
The food was very good with a varied selection to suit everybody's tastes, however i would agree with previous comments about the restaurant staff, they all seem to have had the same charisma bypass operation.
The room was good with adequate beds, and the bathroom was very good, its the first one i've seen with 2 toilets and 2 showers!! a family luxury indeed when you have 2 kids. The air con could have been better, couldn't get the temp much below 24 during the day but its ok for sleeping at night.
The pool is nice and clean with plenty of sunbeds but a definate lack of Parasols. One word of warning, if you are not a confident swimmer, beware of the pool at about the halfway mark from the shallow end, it drops from about 3ft to about 7ft in two or three steps !
The hotel is ideally situated as long as you're not in a wheelchair, it has no access at all. It's a 5 minute walk to the excellent beach, and about the same for Palma Nova its self. Ten minutes sees you into Magaluf and about twenty minutes on a bus gets you into Palma town.
We would use the hotel again.
Advice: We stayed in room 125 which we suspect has a ghost of some description that keeps dropping what sounds like a coin on the floor of the room at varying times and places in the room. Nothing to worry about, it just added to the already brilliant entertainment !

| said: We have just arrived back from the Mimosa Park Hotel in Palma Nova, and it has to be said we were pleasantly surprised by most things.
Firstly, the hotel is a lot cleaner than we expected after reading previous reviews. We did have to wait 20 minutes to enter our room when we arrived, but we'd rather have waited and entered a clean room, than arrived to a half cleaned room. The maid's were good, the rooms were cleaned every day, and we received new towels every day, even when we didn't request them!
We had two rooms, with two people in each, and I think that 2 people in a normal room is about right, I can see how 3 people in the same sized room may be one to many. As others have said, the walls are fairly thin, we could talk to each other through the bathroom vent, which is good if you know who's next door, however if you don't you may learn the life story of a stranger!!
The pool itself is quite good, but there were not that many beds in the morning, but if you go back up about 5pm there were plenty. There are only a few parasols around for shade as well. But the pool area overall is good. We only stayed at the pool for one full day, the rest of the holiday we just had a quick hour after a day at the beach.
The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the beach, but it is not as far as I expected. Palma Nova is also just a 5 minute walk away and Magaluf about 15 minutes walk- again not as far as expected. When in Magaluf we did speak to people who got taxi's back to the hotel at night for 5 euros, but to be honest it is not that far to walk.
The hotel staff are ok, there are a couple of old Spanish receptionists who could smile a little, but overall they are ok. The waiters at the bar can be pretty slow, and there is almost always a queue at night because of the all inclusive guests making the most of the drinks. The waiters in the restaurant are also mixed, there is one man who is hilarious!!
We didn't use much of the hotel entertainment- we watched the Blues Brother's World show thing before a night out, and that was fantastic! The 5 entertainers are all English and do a great job, working endlessly through the day and night. They did a good job to make you feel involved- but only if you wanted to be, with things like Lilo Runs, and quiz's, to mini disco's and shows. They even provide an e-mail address to keep in touch if you want too, which I have never seen before.
Overall, we would stay at the hotel again, it had a good atmosphere, with the right mix of families and groups.

Food was ok but like all inclusives gets a bit much for two weeks however always something good to choose from.
Hotel was well situated but a long climb up the stairs after doing it for a fortnight.
Staff need to learn how to smile one waiter seems to dislike people in general and should really be doing something else for a living.
Entertainment was excellent the kids were well catered for with the guys working hard to keep everyone happy would be nice if the waiters showed some of this enthusiasm.

| said: Our flight was on time with Mytravel from Cardiff Airport. On arriving to Palma we were met by the reps to take us to our hotel, Mimosa Park.
The reception area look very nice and was nice to get out of the hot weathe rwith the air conditioning.
We got 3 rooms all together on the 4th floor (408, 409,410) with not the best of view I must say! but hey never mind, your not always in the room are you.
The rooms were basic but did the job and the air conditioning was a god send!
The pool area of the hotel was really nice with a nice large swimming pool. the entertainment staff worked hard day and night and always kepy us entertained with killer darts, killer pool, midday quix to name a few!
Food at the hotel was nice. sometimes a bit repetitive but always something for every one and the carvery was very nice every night. As the hotel had all inclusive guests as well the drinks in the hotel were not as expensive as I thought they would be.
Night times at the hotel were great. There was mini Disco for the kids then we had our Bingo!!!! with some good money to be won and then the evening show every night! Well done to Andy Mac, Stuart, Anders, Jenny and Claire. The Blues Brothers World Tour was fantastic to name a few.
Our MyTravel Reps were absolutly useless!!!! Vicky and Emma. They never smiled once and when ever we had a problem they didnt want to know. They only smiled when we wanted to book a trip with them. We had problems with a bit of noise next to our rooms and the rep said "what do you expec tyour in Palma Nova!". Not very good customer service at all!. There was no point in having a rep as I sorted the noise out my self!.
All in all a good holiday but wont be returning back to Palma Nova sometime soon due to the young and lively! Never used to be like that.

The food was really nice plenty of choice for everyone, the pool area was always kepy clean and tidy.
The entertainment at night and in the day was excellent. The entertainers Claire Jenny, stuart, andy and andas were brillant playing games in the pool in the day making drinks for adults by the pool and they did a brillant job at night in the club.
The rooms are a bit small we had three beds in ours so a bit cramped but you only sleep in them, the rooms were cleaned every day and had fresh towels in as well.
We were on the 4th floor right at the end so we didn't notice any noise from next door. The hotel is in a good position just a five mins walk to shops and beach which is lovely.
I cannot fault this hotel in anyway and we will go back with the rest of our family.

| said: Just got back on Saturday from the Mimosa Park Hotel, having read mixed reviews on here and other review sites, we went with an open mind.
When we arrived, we were told the maid was still cleaning our room (someone had paid to keep it on by the sounds of it) and it would be ready in 10 minutes, the maid was jsut leaving when we went up. We were on the 3rd floor, which we were quite pleased about as the lifts were in constant use - we even had to go up separately with our suitcases!
The room was fine, clean, bathroom was basic but ok, we had clean towles everyday, we jut put them in the bidet, beds were made everyday but sheets were changed jsut once in a fortnight. We were at the back of the hotel away from the noisy road, but we did have the air con units grinding away but to be honest, we didn't hear them when we were sleeping.
We did say we couldn't imagine having 3 beds in the room, it would definately have been a tight squeeze.
The only problem we did realise was how thin the walls are! You could hear everything through the bathroom vents.
The food was fine, plenty to choose from, lots of salad and not just chips every night. It did feel a bit like a transport cafe though, everyone was rushing round to get there food, it made us eat our dinner really quick! I can imagine it being really hectic as the summer months go on, one morning every table was full, apart from a section at the back so us and a few other went to sit there and we were asked to move - why I don't know but we had to share a table with someone else.
We were not very impressed with the reception staff, the scottish lady and the young spanish lady were fine but the older spanish gentleman just ignored us when we stood at the counter, so wee bought our paper elswhere.
The entertainment team were great, there was a kids mini disco and show on every night and they really worked hard, during the day too. The kids loved them and we actually saw some crying becasue they didn't want to go home!
There is a park on the way down to the resort although I don't think it's part of the hotel and there is a supermarket round the corner. Beach/resort centre is about 5-10 min stroll away
Pool was lovely, open til 8pm, bit crowded at times, but there was plenty of sunbeds. The one thing I will stress is it is certainly not suitable for people with walking difficulties as there is just steps down to the pool and also the resort centre is downhill, so obviously you have to climb back up!
All in all we had a great time

We were on the top floor (9th)and on the end so there was minimal noise. The rooms were basic but clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in on holiday!
May was a good month to stay as it was not too busy ie easy to access the lifts, tables in restaurants, seats in the bar etc would not like to stay here peak season. The only downside to this hotel was that we went to the beach every day and had to carry the pushchair down the back stairs of the hotel as there was no ramp or lift down.
We would have visited Magaluf more than we did but it was a bit far out than we had hoped. Probably would not visit this hotel again but enjoyed our stay and was pleasantly surprised.

The walls are so thin that you can hear people next door speaking in a normal voice.
The food at best can be described as edible. The fact that tables are not allocated leads to groups of people milling around with plates of food trying to find somewhere to sit.
In general the staff were pleasant enough and the receptionists friendly and efficient. We made our own entertainment by going out to a nearby Irish Pub to avoid the drunks in the bar.
All in all a reasonably nice hotel being wasted by greed and poor management.

The location of the hotel is excellent although there is a bit of a hill climb coming back from the beach.
People should be aware that visiting this hotel in the first weeks of April is not a good idea as this is Spanish pensioner weeks! Travel agents should be telling their customers about this. I am well aware I will be a pensioner one day but until that time I would like to enjoy time relaxing by the pool and having a good time in general and of an evening enjoy the hotel entertainment. (Not a chance of this happening during these weeks.)
The food in the restaurant was for their taste certainly not for ours! Yuk!
The entertainment was dire.

| said: Stayed at the Mimosa Park in Palma Nova first impression when we arrived was great from the outside got in side and my thought changed.
The hotel staff were very rude they were only bothering with the Spanish there was one Scottish lady who was very helpful if you could catch her on duty
The rooms was ok because you only have to sleep in them at night
The lifts were diabolical if you are able it's as well if you can walk up and down the stairs it's much quicker
The entertainment was rubbish so we spent all of our hols down in the main streets in Palma Nova which were great
Pool was ok at hotel but you had to get up at 7 if you wanted a sunbed so we went to the beach every day which was lovely
We went half board and it was hard work trying to find a clean table so most of the time you had to clean someonelse's mess to the trolley just so you could get something to eat. If the waiters saw you they just let you get on with it the odd time they did help they would come and just turn the dirty table cloth over and that was it. There was one particular waitress who needed a coat hanger in her mouth to make her smile.
It was like rush hour at train station people were pushing in like it was the last supper.
Would not return to this hotel ever.

Food is ok breakfast between 7 and 10 and if you missed it there is always snacks in the restaurant during the day. Also after lunch and dinner upto 12 snacks are available.
The bar is open until 2am but beware we ordered loads of drinks just after midnight only to find we had to pay for them even though we were inclusive this stops at 12 until 10am next day.
The rooms are pretty pokey there were 3 beds and 1 more pull down bed, small bathroom and balcony. Livable but dont expect much.
The entertainment leaves a lot to be desired and you'd probably find better entertainment outside the hotel. 5 mins walk to Magaluf and minutes to the beach.
The security guard at the hotel wasn't very nice my daughter got pushed in the pool at 11pm and we knew your not supposed to swim at that time but my daughter was swimming out and the security guard gave her a yelling at armed with a baseball bat and dragged us all to reception for a slapped wrist! Thought it was a bit harsh after all shes only 12 and was pushed in!!
A few of the staff seemed very ignorant unless you happened to be spanish.
All in all Majorca is a lovely place well worth the visit but a diffrent friendly hotel would be better.

Food was disgusting after three days we had enough and decided to eat out.
If you were not down by 7.am to get a bed then you could not get one.
Walls in rooms were wafer thin you can expect noise in the resort but not in rooms, we had to endure listening to the couple next door having sex then the people above decided to have arguments every day throwing furniture around etc complained to hotel staff who were really helpful complained to rep but she was not interested. She said if we had any complaints to note them and complain when we returned home. She said she had lived in Magaluf for 10 years and had no complaints. When I asked her if she had stopped at this hotel before and ate and slept here she walked away and said of course she hadn't then I said she was not in a position to answer me.
We would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you have children unless you want them to have a sex education lesson and hear people fighting. Our rep said it is an old hotel and a certain amount of noise should be expected. Well what can I say!!!!!

The food was great so much to choose from, no queues for anything the bar was so easy to get a drink, also the pool has so many sun beds there is plenty for everybody, this is a great holiday location you are about 500m from shops bars etc and 600m from beach.
I will be going back next year for sure, but this time for longer as we only had a week there,so 2 weeks for us for sure, k, archibald and family,

| said: After reading some of the other reports regarding this hotel we were a bit concerned about what to expect.
We were half board but only used the restaurant for breakfast as we prefer to go out in the evening for dinner. The breakfast menu was very varied and suitable for most tastes. The waiters removed your plate/glass as soon as you had finished and were always polite.
I agree that the walls in the bathroom must be a bit thin as you could hear voices from the next apartment whilst you were in the bathroom, however whilst in the bedroom or on the balcony there was no noise.
My only grumble was that whilst it advertised air conditioning this I was told was not switched on till July so we had to hire a fan from the reception for the night time as it was so warm.
We were on the second floor so only used to use the lift sometimes to go up to our room but never again experienced any problems. We looked out on to the road and were only disturbed one evening when an emergency service vehicle was passing, the normal road traffic was hardly heard.
I would not have any reservations regarding visiting this hotel again in the future.

| said: We had a fantastic time here at Mimosa Park.
I am a travel agent, so obviously I get to hear reports back all the time and this accommodation was recommended to us.
We only paid £98 half board so to be honest we weren't expecting the Ritz, but it was pleasent surprise.
The rooms we nice, clean and spacious (I did see another room that was on the top floor and these were HUGE!) The bathroom was immaculate (I am very fussy about bathrooms!) but the only thing that wasn't so good was the fact you could hear the room next door showering if you were in the bath too!
The hotel food was lovely, a wide choice at all meals times and actually I looked forward to dinner every night!! The setting in the conservatory was lovely at night by the pool to eat your meal.
The staff on reception were ghastly, nasty and rude. No attempt whatsoever to be polite but hey, you don't spend all your holiday at the reception desk do you?!!
The pool was too cold when we were there as it was December but it was clean and the million and 1 sunbeds were well kept and tidy.
Over all a great holiday, accommodation and food.
Would go back tomorrow.
GO BOOK IT!

The room was a good size, it was clean and well looked after by the friendly maids.
The hotel food was in my opinion delicious, there was a large choice of English and foreign food which was all to my taste.
I thought the location was excellent as it was close to the shops, pubs and clubs and about 2 minutes walk to the beach.
The staff of the hotel were friendly, helpful and welcoming and the entertainment I feel catered for all ages.
I have already booked to revisit this hotel again shortly and I am looking forward to going back.

We found the hotel rooms small and in need of redecoration. But you didn't spend much time in them during the day.
The food was excellent, could not be faulted. I have read reviews about the food and they obviously did not visit the same time as we did. The food was definitly 4 star.
The entertainment was not great. The kids disco at night lasted 15 minutes at the most. They could not wait to get the kids away from the stage so that they could start selling bingo tickets. A couple of decent nights entertainment but if you do not have young kids would advise to make the most of the all inclusive drinks and then move on to other entertainment.
If the hotel was redecorated and more for kids at night (at least until 10pm) would definitely visit again. Although would suit anyone without kids who want to go to clubs.

Cleanliness - We reported a faulty toilet 6 times before it was fixed and then the workmans prints were still there when we left after 2 weeks this is just one example.
Staff - The staff on reception were quite good and helpful. The bar staff and cleaners left a lot to be desired.
We couldn't get near the bar for the people on all inclusive getting the inclusive drinks.
We went out of school time and we found a great number of children at this hotel.
The swimming pool was a disgrace with drinks and food left everywhere.

| said: We stayed in the Mimosa Park hotel from 25/09/2004 for one week and it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in if not the best.
There was a very good selection to eat right from breakfast through to the snacks we had before the bar shut. We were staying all inclusive and you got a pint size glass of beer and could get 2 drinks per person at a time so we took it in turns going and geting 4 pints between 4 of us and this was keeping the queing down to a minimum which was not bad anyway.
The staff were all very friendly and always happy to help, rooms were a bit dated but cleaned every day. There is a road outside that is very busy and there is traffic noise so if you can get a room on the other side of the hotel that would be best.
There are some road works going on just up from the hotel and it looks like they are puting in pipes or widening the road that might add to the noise they were digging from 07:30 am but you could not hear it from the pool area.
The entertainment was ok My wife won on the bingo which she promptly spent on 2 pairs of shoes, they have a fortnightly run of turns so it is vared.
We would stay in this hotel again and its only 20 mins from airport.

It is a bit of a trek to the beach but when you get there it is a lovely spot to lie back & soak up the sun.
Palma nova is a lovely family orientated resort with plenty of bars shops & restaurants all of good quality.
If you want nightlife well just walk along the road into Magaluf.
I'm so impressed with this hotel that after a break in gran canaria this year I've booked to go back next july.

The rep wasn`t the most pleasant of reps we as a family have come across but she did move us in the end. Other than the above the two meals we had in the hotel were good and there was plenty for the kids to do and the pool area was quite pleasant too. I certainly wouldn`t stay in the hotel again.

This is so not true the food in the hotel is of excellent standard the buffet food was always fresh and something different every night for a full two weeks. The entertainment staff Alex and Jenni are excellent. The evening entertainment is of a good standard as well. The rooms are quite small and walls thin but this is acceptable and not that bad. The only major downfall is air conditioning too hot during peak summer should have air conditioning would make life more comfortable. Overall an excellent hotel and would go back.

The staff are extremely friendly, especially the entertainment reps ( who by the way deserve medals for all their hard work). You are made to feel welcome as soon as you check in. The entertainment throughout the day is excellent with games both kids and adults can enjoy.
However i do have a problem, the walls are too thin, you can hear people in the other rooms conversations as clear as day.
There was always a good selection of food available which was also delicious.
Overall, excellent, excellent, excellent!!

| said: We stayed at the Mimosa Park for 14 nights. This is the second year in a row that I've been here. We stayed on a half board basis, and I cannot fault the cleanliess or quality of food what-so-ever!!!
The restaurant is served buffet style, and the variety is out of this world, e.g. cereal, fruit, full english breakfast, breadrolls, or cakes - and that is just for breakfast.
The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The reception is clean and spacious, along with the poolside areas.
Because this is quite a 'private' hotel (set in walled grounds), at nighttime, you can sit in the large Victoria Lounge, where excellent Hotetur reps, or professional shows will entertain you. Or you can sit out by the well lit pool area, where the security is fab!
There are numerous pool and table tables, and daytime activity is on-going.
It is true that the rooms are not air-conditioned, but lets face it, thats the last thing on your mind. There are three lifts, which I have been assured will be upgraded in time for next summer. I can't wait to go back!

| said: We booked 2 weeks holiday BUT not at this hotel we were in Hotel Lancaster, but requested a move due to problems we encountered there.
Another 2 families moved there to from the same hotel.
To be perfectly honest I think it would be a nice hotel in season apart from the shabby thin walled bedrooms, but it had opened inpromptu for an influx of clients without being checked out first.
It isnt checked by tour opertors till late March/April to be given its ratings, when all health and safety aspects have been sorted and the hotel up to full running speed.
During our 10 day stay there the heating wasnt running properly, and the rooms were freezing, we encountered screaming babies in the room next door, we moved rooms 3 times, being assured the room was warmer and quieter, finally giving up to wrapping up in blankets, and endured cold water and radiators,
The bathrooms were disgusting with mould growing like forests everywhere, The lift kept sticking a foot from the floor, plug sockets hung off the walls, Painting was being done in all main areas, the smell was awful causing me to have asthma attacks, plus the main door were left open to dry it, so even public areas were freezing,3/4 days before we left we had to use the stairs as the lift wasnt working my husband caught his foot on a loose stair tread and fell 5 stairs down, causing injury, It was promptly repaired but the damage had been done.
The rep was brillient, as was the animation team, they work really hard for you, it was the only thing that kept us sane,The food was brillient with plenty of choice.
Be warned though it does stand on a hill so if you have walking difficulties its not suitable. And dont travel out of season, Abiet the rooms being shabby it is a nice hotel for families with plenty going off.

| said: We arrived at the hotel to find the room we had been put in not only dirty (there was hair on the floor) but also noisy as there is a very busy road at the back of the hotel. We were moved to a room at the front of the hotel which was quieter, or so we thought until 3am that night when we were woken by next door having sex. Ok, so you get this from time to time in hotels but it sounded like they were in the same room. The walls must be made of paper it's ridiculous.
Forget about staying by the pool it's pretty bad anyway and permanently rammed.
Food is pretty bad, standard fare really, nothing to write home about so we went out 3 times in a week to get some decent food.
There seems to be some good reviews of this hotel since we went but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

| said: We have stayed at the Mimosa Park 5 times and we cannot fault it. The rooms were a bit small but very clean.
The staff were sometimes grumpy behind the bar in the Victoria lounge, but the reason for this we discovered is because their tips were down from all the guests that were staying all inclusive. We stayed the first time all inclusive and the bar staff use to ignore you if there was a paying customer to serve instead. The next 4 visits to the Mimosa we stayed half board and found we got a better service.
The pool was great but very cold at Christmas so we used another pool that was indoors close by. You also could always get a sunlounger without having to get up at the crack of dawn.
Now to the food hall, well all I can say is tuck-in it's great, what a choice. Breakfast was a huge choice, full English or continental the choice is yours and as for the evening meal well there’s a good selection for both meat eaters and veggies.
The entertainment staff were brill. And it is custom to throw them in the pool fully clothed during the day
We would certainly go back, after reading other reviews from guests some say it only cost them £1,000-£1,500
how come you got it so cheap? All quotes I now get start from £2,800. This is the only thing stopping us going back at the moment perhaps I should shop around.
We would strongly recommend the Mimosa Park.
