| said: been going to the mellissa for years go twice a year and stay there.. the rooms are nice and clean ,, the staff are really nice and friednly they would come and talk to you ,, they would give you good advice on were good places are .., well the entertaiment is not brillant they play music during the day .. and have karaoke nd fortune tellers at night i never stayed in at night but when we came back from centrum we would go into the bar as it doesnt close .. the staff realy made the holiday for us ,,, and the man who is at the pool in the moring he helps you with the sun beds ,, and your luggage when your leaving i would recommend this apartment to any .. be back next year xxxxxxxxxxxxx

| said: I was in the melissa in august and i thought it was brilliant. although we didn't stay in the apartments at night, i still thought that the staff were lovely. The bar is nice a bit quiet but that was because we were only in at 4am. rooms were always clean actually i thought the melissa was a lot cleaner than other places in kusadasi, i wasn't too sure about the food but i only tried it once, the staff were always very friendly and talking to us, i'm going back to kusadasi next year so if i can i'll be staying there again.

| said: Just back today from the melissa appartments.. Loved the place its lovely.. id nearly get back on the plane now.. The credit due to the hotel has to go to the staff. adam on reception, james and gabriel in the resturant and of course justin Sean and Deniz.. they made my holiday... tey were so nice and friendly and really made us feel welcome.. the food was lovely and it was really easy to get into the main bazar and bar street.. sean deniz and justin really made an effort to entertain people.. and i would highly reccommend the mellisa.. if nothing else.. just too meet Deniz, Sean and Justin..

| said: the staff at the mellisa were excellent, they entertained us every night with competitions,games, kareokee etc it was brill!! the staff are very friendly and always willing to give u advice as to where the best places are!! the mellisa was kept very clean. we were only 5 minutes from the town which was perfect! i would def visit the mellisa again it was unreal!

| said: I found the staff pateronising and were always sneering at the women. Cant understand why there is no TV or radio in the rooms, I had to leave the hotel every night and head into town for some entertainment, I would not recommend this hotel to my friends.

| said: The Melissa Aparts may have been beautiful once but now are purely functional.
Ditto the neighbourhood which is now a very, very built up working class suburb. None of the rooms have TV, Radio, ovens or Internet connections. Televisions were obviously
once installed, but no more. On the plus side all rooms do come with air conditioning.
The staff are adequate but continuously trying to persuade the mainly Irish clientele to part with their cash. They do this by trying to sell under the counter excursions
places or urging guests to stay in the hotel for the nightly "entertainment". Having seen the hours they work and heard of the average pay scale I don't blame them.
The one real exception would be the cleaning staff and the wonderful "pool/bell boy" (man)who were the only people I gladly tipped. I had asked the travel agent for "cheap and cheerful" but got "run down and riotous". The hotel catering left a whole lot to be desired as well (don't try the sausages, I don't think they're really sausages at all).
For good home grub try some of the boozers on "Ladies Beach" or "Harry’s Bar" in Centrum. If you do get to Harry's say hello to Brian, their Brit ex-Pat in residence, a nice guy and a wealth of local knowledge.
Other than the Hotel there is no local entertainment, but the Marino Seafront is great and "Bar Street" is a must see.
In closing, Melissa Aparts 5 out of 10, Kusadasi is pushy and if Turkey joins the EU the rest of us should leave !

| said: I am only back from Kusadasi and absolutely loved it, the best holiday ever. Jimmies bar is just the best the guys are so nice and friendly but the Melissa apartments are not so hot.
The location is in the centre of a residential area we had a view of residential apartments which where not too pleasant.
The linen was changed and so where the towels but the towels are grey, rough and torn. The furniture on the balcony was broken, the sheets and blankets on the bed were rough and very hard against your skin especially if you had managed to get a bit of sunburn. The plates and bowls provided were plastic and the pool is tiny.
I can't comment on the staff because we refused to spend our money there we had paid enough and it wasn't what we expected. I personally would not recommend it. I have stayed in other places in Kusadassi with Sunworld that were 1000 times nicer.

| said: I stayed at the Melissa apartments at the end of September beginning on October 2005. In my group we had two rooms. On family with two children of 3 and 8, and two adults and me when I was 15.
The hotel was nice, but a bit run down. It could do with some modernising. It looked like the hotel had lost money over the years. The pool was basic but OK. The cleanliness as you can see was not very good. the rooms were fantastic, we had lovely cleaning ladies everyday who provided us with clean towels, bedding and hovered etc.
The bad thing about the cleanliness was the outside toilets, do not go in these. If I needed the toilets I walked up 3 flights of stairs to my apartment as the outside ones were dirty, constantly blocked and you could not see a thing due to the lights not working.
When I got home I got a water infection from the pool, as by the childrens play area there was a leaking sewage pipe.
The children ran through this and then jumped into the pool causing many to get infections.
The entertainment was not on when I was there as it was late in the season but I heard the Turkish night was very good.
Many Germans stay there who like Germans do reserve beds at 6am. They did this as only few beds got sun all day long. And when I reserved my own bed, they took my towel and moved it! Needless to say I threw their's in the pool!
The staff were nice, reception were always busy and it took a long time before you could talk to them, but when you did they were very helpful and friendly.
The cleaning staff deserve the up most respect. The reps were nice apart form one, who got drunk every night and argued very loudly and swore in front of many little children.
The bar staff Onour, Cemal and Elvis were lovely. but that is because I am a teenage girl and they were always looking to flirt and charm. However, they were fantastic with my cousins and really got involved in making our holiday a memorable one!
I do not know if they still work there though.
I would not visit this hotel again as i prefer something with more to do, and a bit more pricey. But this was a good holiday for a cheap one.

| said: I really enjoyed my stay at Melissa aparts. I have made some really good friends from there.
The staff are great, food was good.
I didn't stay in at night to listen to the entertainment but I'm sure it was brill as the aparts are.
They are really clean the pool is great... I'm going back next year for sure!!!
When going to Kusudasi make sure you stay here it's worth the money and go to Bar street!!!

| said: It was a brilliant holiday. Definitely would go again, only if I could stay in the Melissa Apartments.
They were all so friendly, everybody who worked there.
The entertainer was brilliant. They tried to get you involved in everything and made it so much better. I would rate it 10/10.
The apartments were lovely inside. Nice and clean.
I would recommend it to anyone willing to have a good holiday.
