| said: We travelled here in March-April 2008 as a group of 6 - 3 couples aged 19-21.
We really enjoyed our hol and would definitely stay at the Mayra again.
It doesn't look great from the outside but is basic but fine inside and very clean.
But dont forget to take your own toilet roll with you as you only get one!!
Not far from the beach and the bars and restaurant also there's a market at the end of the street.
Pool was too cold for us to go in tho but apart from that I would give it about 9 out of 10!!

| said: We are 3 couples all in our early sixties.
The Mayra Apartments are very spacious. As it only cost £98 in total per two bedroom apartment for the 5 night stay, each couple had a two bedroom apartment to themselves, but 4 people per apartment would have been fine.
Everything was in full working order. Don't expect 4 star luxury at this price, but the cleanliness could not be faulted.
No soap is provided and the towels are only changed once per week, unless you wish to pay 2 euros for a clean one.
Only one toilet roll is provided so take a spare one.
The cafe downstairs is not the Ritz, but it is clean and the food is basic but well cooked. Breakfast is excellent.
Draught Amstel is only one euro a pint!
The 150 euro cash security bond which you have to pay on arrival is a bind, but there is no problem getting it back at the end.
We have stayed in far more luxurious accommodation, but all six of us agreed that for the price you pay Mayra is excellent value and we would all go again.

| said: We travelled as a hen party and stayed for 4 nights.
We booked via the internet and at the time of booking were not informed about the holding deposit of 300 euros. This is refundable at the end of your stay however if you are a group of younger people the lady that is there, does not like to reimburse your deposit when you ask for it. We had to be quite forceful in our approach to her when trying to get this back. Understandably there has to be a room check before she will part with your money.
Also as there were 5 in each of our rooms there was not enough bath towels, we didn't have a change of towels in the 4 days. Other than that, the rooms are bright and clean and spacious, pool looks small but it is adequate. I wouldn't return with children.
The hotel bar area is very cheap for drinks, its a good place to start before heading into town but the food isn't very good.

| said: We went on a hen weekend so only needed basic rooms to stay in.
We found the rooms very clean & spacious just what we needed. We were not expecting the rooms to be as nice as they were. The only thing that we found wrong was that there was not enough toilet roll & had to pinch the bar downstairs roll(haha).
Would highly recommened these apartments they are close to the beach only a 5 minute walk & close to the main strip ie shops, restaurants, bars & clubs.
Would highly recommened the English cafe next door for a good breakfast.
Going back next year (cant wait).

| said: Well I personally think the hotel compromises alot considering its size the bar they had served Spanish food which was not to my taste as I am a vegatarian but they have amazing vanilla milkshakes....
The pool was always extremely cold which took me five minutes to slowly dip myself in which was cool....
The hotel was ok towels were changed every week but we stayed for 4 nights but you can buy towels from the hotel which are cheap and the hotel was pretty clean but basic so if you want something luxurious try hotel Nereo but there are much better ones with great entertainment....
Try out Stardust pub to see Tony Scott

| said: The rooms were clean when we arrived although there were no cleaners throughout our stay and no clean towels either so take your own.
We did get a complimentory toilet roll in the room however this was the only one, so if you're too lazy to walk around the corner to the shops just head downstairs and nick the ones out of those toilets haha! Not sure what was in the kitchen as I didn't go in there.
The location isn't too bad. Close to several shops and the market. 5min walk from McDonalds and many restaurants. The bar/cafe under the appartments was great for snacks around the pool and a bottle of Amstel was only 70cent (50p!!) So if you're looking for a cheap day around the pool it's the place to be.
The staff in the bar we're all very nice, unlike the staff from the apartments who were rude and didn't speak English very well. The staff aren't there all the time either.
The apartments are only a 10min walk from the main strip (Cafe Benidorm, etc...) and it's a strait walk to them which is mostly flat, apart from the 100m slight incline to the Mayra.
For a group of lads/girls the apartments are just somewhere to stay and are ideal for that.
Can't grumble at the cost either, you only pay for what you get folks!

The small cafe/pub below was very cheap but quality food.
The hotel was in a good location and it was not far from most of the night life, markets, cafes/restaurants.
The hotel staff were pretty friendly although could not understand most English but they did play football with my son (under my supervision).
I wouldn’t say there were entertainment as such but there was a small pub next door which had karaoke I would visit the apartments again

| said: These apartments are situated on a slight incline in the Rincon area of Benidorm, just across from the indoor market. They are in a 16-storey block, with two apartments on each floor.
We were on the 11th floor, and the views over the bay were fantastic. There are two bedrooms in every apartment, with a further (if required) two bed-settees in the lounge. The kitchen is well equipped, with a full oven, kettle and toaster. The balcony is small, but does get the sun for most of the day.
There is a small pool on the complex, but being January, we didn't care to try it!!
Under the apartments is a busy, clean bar with very friendly staff, which does cheap tasty food. There are also complimentary nibbles that go well with the cheap (1 euro/pint) Amstel.

| said: The hotel was lovely, enough room, comfortable except for a few bits & bobs but no harm done.
The location was suitable although the staff were not that understandable and to my likings.
Me and my grandparents and my brother and sister stayed in the apartments, the apartments were lovely. There was enough room for all of us and it certainly had all the resources we needed.
The rooms where clean apart from some matters with only 2 rolls of toilet paper for the whole week, but then again it didnt harm no one.
The pool was cold and the view from the balcony was stunning but there are too many hotels/apartments for the sun to get through to you. We found it quite upsetting that we couldnt understand the staff a lot of the time, and where to go and what to do.
On the other hand, the reps that dropped us off and picked us at the end of our stay where very polite. Unfortunately I couldnt say the same for the kitchen staff downstairs. Although it was a lovely place to eat and the prices where very reasonable.
It is a good situation where the apartments are and my favourite bar yet has to be either The Nags Head or the Goerdie Bar.
I would definitely stay here again.

| said: This hotel I would strongly recommend.
I read a few of the posts about this hotel and wasnt sure if it was a hotel for my family to stay in, but I'm glad to say that this is an ideal hotel for people of all ages.Well apart from one's that want a constant party in there hotel.
It is only 5mins to the beach from this hotel and the hill isn't steep. I would recommend that people who use this hotel to use the main streets as this is the best way to acess this hotel. The back way is a steeper climb up a hill.
The apartments are basic but what do you want on a self-catering holiday. The small restaurant gets very busy with locals and holiday makers from other apartments as the prices for food and drink are quite cheap.
I would use this hotel again. The thing worth mentioning is that the pool is small and not really for young children as its 6ft deep and the steps are a bit dodgy
but my kids had a good time in pool...and it was freezing.....

| said: Sorry, would never return to these apartments. The staff are rude and the I had to share a single bed with my daughter because the mattress on the other bed sagged so much it was like sleeping on the springs. No point complaining. Showerhead wasn't fixed to wall. Took 2 days to fix. Benidorm is a great place but these apartments are a disgrace.

The staff were not very helpful and the pool was dirty, i also found the cheap cafes food not very appertising.
I would not go back to this appartment again, however any body looking for somthing basic may well find this suitable.

The rooms only got cleaned on the day that we were going home.
The tiles in the swimming pool were falling off.
We never got our towels changed and we got one roll of toilet paper the whole two weeks.
Would go back to Benidorm but not in the Mayra apartments.

The pool is very small and was very dirty when we were there.
If staying at these apartments make sure you get your keys as there is not 24 hour reception.
Sorry wouldn't ever go back to these apartments ever.
There is also a very steep hill up to them.
The wee pub next door to them is great though and very cheap and the couple who run it are very friendly.
