The staff at the Carmina make your holiday Memmet the gaffer will look after anyone if you have a problem he will sort it out for you.

Elvis (Turgay) walks around the pool alday asking if you would like drinks or something to eat always helpful. Abraham helps in restaurant Sal and jimmy behind the bar flame throwing all the works.

Rooms very basic, a/c not very good in the apartments, very clean maid in everyday changing towels, washing dishes and leaving some lovely designs with the towels. Excellent location for bars and restaurants.

Food in restaurants is excellent proper english breakfast for £4 "The Lemon Tree" excellent you will have to go Delboys and honeymooners lovely.

Turkish baths fantastic £8 boat trips £5 people will try more but thats what you should get them for. Market day monday go early 8.30 gets really full and too hot after 10.30.

We are just back from 2 weeks staying at the Carmina the staff were friendly and helpful but was a bit noisy after 1am when you are trying to get some sleep.

Our cleaner was fantastic the designs she did with the towels was amazing have some lovely photos of them Turgay and Sal were great with my son and his friend.

Also my son celebrated his 16th birthday while we were there they helped me organise some surprises for him. I recommend going to a Turkish night great food and entertainment.

Also if you if you want to eat out try Pizza Pizza up the town also Arkada's just along from the Carmina> Husan and Betty gives you a warm welcome and a hearty breakfast great evening meals as well

DO NOT go to this hotel. It was minging. If you like Blackpool and being ripped off then Hisaronu is the place for you. If not avoid it like the plague. I have been to Turkey 6 times and have vowed, after this experience NEVER to go again. The gardens were disgusting, the young male staff are only interested in any young girl that will listen to there drivel. The "clean" towels looked as if they're the same ones used since the day the apartments opened. Grey, stained and threadbear. Anyone who says different must walk around with their eyes shut or don't give a flying for the surroundings.

We had a one bedroomed apartment which was enormous. All facilities exellent. Removing key switched off all the electricity but we just asked for a master fob so we could leave the fridge on all day - Maids were wonderful, making swans and hearts with towels, and leaving flowers everyday. Perfect location, quiet but only 100m from the main street. Bar staff efficient and good fun. Pool table needed replacing.Have already booked again for next year. Holidays 4 U reps were exellent, always available, well organised but no hasseling to book trips etc

Visited the Carmina with my partner. The rooms were very clean, had no problems with showers like some people have mentioned. Could have done with a fridge as we were self catering (apart from breakfast which we never actually had from the hotel) so spent more money with having to eat out all the time.
The air conditioning was too good really because we often woke up freezing and had to turn it off.
The hotel is in a great location as its only a stonethrow away from the center but set back enough to not hear all the noise at night.
The staff are extremely helpfull and always happy even after doing a 17 hour shift which was the norm!!
We didnt really spend much time by the pool as we went to the beach a lot or did trips but it was a good size and plenty of sunbeds etc.
We would visit the carmina again!!

The Carmina hotel & aprtments were great! the situation of the hotel was excellent as it was quick and easy to reach the centre of everything. The cleansiness of the rooms were also excellent as they were always up to a high standard and cleaned thourougly every day. The hotel staff were very friendly, bubbly and always willing to help. The entertainment throughout the days and nights was great. As the staff were always willing to run games of bingo etc.
I would consider visiting the hotel again as it was very enjoyable and an unforgetable holiday!

For a cheap (£170) weeks holiday in June We certainly wouldnt complain but have one or two bits of advice that may come in useful to some.

Although we went B&B the breakfast certainly wasnt up to much and we found it more convenient to nip up to one of the many bars or restaurants, even if it cost us a few quid extra. I have stayed B&B in Turkey before and would be quite happy with the usual fare but a decent coffee and orange juice is a must and the Carmina really didnt deliver here.

Our room was a single, a double and a sofa bed and was clean and comfortable and a few steps from the decent sized pool. The shower was like warm rain at best and didnt work at all at times but again this is fairly typical for Turkey. A fridge would have been a godsend but I can see why they dont for B&B and the water they sell is cold and cheap enough so no big deal.

The location is excellent, at the bottom end of the resort with loads of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Dolmus and taxis stop about 50 yards away and other than if rowdy guests are staying at your hotel no noise, I think it would be fine for families.

As always the staff cant do enough for you, an older holidaymaker was taken ill while we were there and the staff were excellent, helping as much as they could. Think they must have been warned about the pool-throwing though as we never saw it once (and they had plenty chances). No real entertainmnt to speak of but the bar is okay. I wouldnt bother with half board personally as its a set menu and never changed while we were there. The private beach at the lagoon the hotel is linked to is fine although the toilets could have done with cleaning. Its free and picks up at ten, bringing you back at four.

Clean, quiet(ish) and comfortable budget holiday, would probably go back if a similar deal came up, but maybe not for a while.

I stayed at the Carmina hotel for two weeks with my partner!

Overall it was not a bad hotel the majority of the staff were lovely. Unfortunately a couple of the staff were not so nice and they upset me, also a couple of others that were in the hotel by their cruelty to animals which really upset me, as you do not expect to see this when you are on holiday!

Also you can book drinks etc to room and pay at the end of your holiday there was a lot of confusion with things being put to our room that was not ours!

The rooms were clean and so was the pool. The breakfast could do with upgrading.

The swimming pool is a good size and quite warm.

Our apartment was spacious and clean, although we could have done with more storage space for our clothes. We had one wardrobe between four of us.

The shower was a little temperamental and we were disappointed in the power system: you have to insert your key fob in a slot to work the electricity. Therefore, whenever you are out of your room; from 9am - 7pm in our case, the fridge does not work!

The complex is about 5 minutes walk to the main resort area.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and very fond of pushing guests in the pool.

All in all good value for money.

We had a great holiday. We were made to feel very welcome with the friendly staff, who would go to any length to ensure you had a good holiday. The self catering apartments were basic but clean, however could do with a little better kitchen facilities.

Pool was great for the kids, the meals in the snack bar were brilliant, the drinks in the bar again great. The location of the accommodation was very good, just a short walk away to the bars, tavernas, shops and the main street.

The Holidays4u reps were very good alwasy onsite to help you and again nothing was too much for them to assist you in anyway. We would definitely return to the resort and especially the accommodation.

Just back from these apartments they are in a great location. Apartments are very clean and comfortable, the staff were all very friendly, nice pool area too
the tour operator Holidays4U were great in particular the 2 reps we met Lynn and Ali who had lots of knowledge of the area ( particularly lynn as she has lived there for over 15yrs ).

I don't know much about the entertainment as we went out a few times but we did catch some karaoke which everyone seemed to be enjoying- I would certainly go back.

The Hotel was friendly and clean. The food around the pool was good and cheap and compared well to the restaurants on the main strip. The maids did come into the rooms each day to clean and give fresh towels. The staff around the pool and bar area were excellent, however not much entertainment as end of season.

We stayed at this hotel from 27august until 10 september 2004 and travelled with holidays 4u the hotel itself is best descibed as fawlty towers, we had no water for 5 days either hot or cold the toilet didnot flush and guests had to shower naked in public using the shower beside the pool, the hotel did not have the facilities for showers in the apartments due to an inadequate water pump when the hotel was filled to capacity, the management could not do anything about it and simply replied not interested.this did not apply to guests staying B&B only SC.
The card system were by you get your drinks and food on
account please beware as they often put things on that you have not ordered and its hard to get a refund afterwards pay as you go. its much better.
would not go back even for free

The breakfast was nice,we had atraditional turkish breakfast. Breakfast starts at 7-10am, reasonable times. The hotel food was ok and the hotel was relatively clean. cleaners come in the room everyday to provide us with new clean towels and they also take out any rubbish. The location of the hotel itself was perfect, very close to the beach(10-15min, 2mins away from local shops, restauarants, bars and clubs. The hotel staff were friendly, however some were rude. There was alot of enetertainment at night, especially on wednesdays when they have turkish night.Other nights is like a bar, everyone up until 2-3am.Overall it is a nice place to stay, nice sunbeds and big pool.

Our stay at the Carmina Hotel was one of the best holidays we've ever had. We were there from 18 July - 1 August 2004. Couldn't fault the Carmina at all - and I'm not just saying that, it's really true! We were half board and the food was lovely even though I'm really picky!

A very good location, not even 5 mins walk and you will be on the main stretch, but far enough away to still get a good nights sleep after all that partying! During the day there is a nice breeze as you are up near the mountains, it's helps make the heat more bearable and saves on the air con!
Maids cleaned the rooms everyday - had no problems with the cleanliness. Also swept around the pool if there was too much water around from people getting in and out.

Hotel staff: well they were the best! Jimmy, Eddy and Apo ran the bar. They were such a laugh and were the ones who made our holiday! I was really sorry to say goodbye to them but we have kept in touch. They do work such long hours but they are always there when you need them. They deserve a medal!

They had a Turkish night every week with a buffett, belly dancer and a dance troupe which was an excellent night. Also had pool parties on certain nights with races and games, inevitably people got thrown in the pool fully dressed! But if you told them you weren't up for it they would leave you alone.
Stereo system around the pool so you could ask to have your own CD's on sometimes.

It was my birthday while I was there and they arranged to get me a cake with my Mam and Dad as a surprise. They also bought me presents. They love celebrating.

One word of warning though: don't walk around the pool with your mobile in your pocket because 9 times out of 10 you will get pushed in if you don't keep your eyes peeled! And if one of the bar staff seem to have the same hat or sunglasses as you, that's probably because they are yours! It's all harmless fun!

We travelled to the Carmina hotel in July 2004 and it was one of the worst holidays you could possibly ever go on!

The room was dirty and didn't get cleaned hardly. One morning the sink collapsed onto the floor and there was water all over. They didn't get it sorted out for two days.

Next, the staff totally riped us off. During the day you could just go and get any food and drink you wanted and they just asked you for your room number and they would make a bill of everything you had bought. One day all we bought was two portions of chips and 2 bottles of water and they charged us £50. I went and complained and checked the bill and there was all sorts of the bill from alcohol to ice-creams.

In the end we didn't pay the bill and we ended moving out and renting a villa (which we then ended up buying) to stay in for the rest of our holiday! It was the worst holiday ever.

The place (hisaronu) is the best place ever but I reccomend never to stay at the Carmina hotel.

The hotel was very clean and very tidy, the cleaners came to clean the room every day and took out all the rubbish and brought us all new towels. Also if you had a late night then they would visit your room later when you were ready for them.

The hotel food was great. We were self catering, but we ate at the hotel in the day time and found that the prices for the food were very cheap and very nice. The cooks at the hotel were very nice they even gave us a lesson in how to make Turkish food,it was great.

The location of the hotel was great it was close to the beach about 10 minutes away by local bus which costs about £0.50, and also about 1 minute from the long Bar street which was packed with bars and clubs and loads of great places to eat, it couldn't have been in a better place because you were just out of the main street that when you had had enough you were out of the way.

The hotel staff were, well just great as well. We found them to be some of the nicest people that we have met they really made the holiday special. The bar staff were great, they were lovely they worked really long hours but always had a smile on their faces and went out of their way to help and show you good time. They were so nice that when they had a little time off they took us into the town and to some cheap shops and to some of the bar that were great which you might have missed it you didn't have some one who knew about the area. Over all they were very helpful and friendly.

The entertainment at the hotel was great. There was always something going on. On Tuesdays there was a pool party and on Wednesday or Thursdays there was a Turkish night but for the rest of the week there wasn't any entertainment set up but they do things to involve every one like a quiz and drinking games. But overall for the rest of the week the bar staff were your entertainment but they were great entertainment and the bar didn't really shut till about 4.30 - 4.00 in the morning but they were not loud after 12 at night so people who were trying to, could sleep.

Well all I can say is brilliant, the entire bar staff were superb from start to finish. Hotel is in an excellent location. The food was really good and very cheap. The entertainment at night was good too especially the Turkish night.

Apo, jimmy, Eddie the three main barmen/waiters were superb I never had to move off my sunlounger as beer was on hand at a click of my fingers.

Clean rooms and lovely gardens lead to a great all round holiday, I am going to go back there for the next ten years it was that good. don’t hesitate book today I promise you wont be disappointed, the most touching part was leaving , we left at 3am and they came to the coach with us and everyone was genuinely upset we were leaving especially the tear in apo`s eye. 10/10 for me!!!
