i have just returned from the sam remo/ses'estanyol in san antonio, as a travel agent i have stayed in a number of hotels in spain, this is the hotel from hell, there for 8 nts and by the 4th day i was trying to get a flight home!!!!!it is the most dismal hotel on earth.it was filthy, the pool area needed a health warning, not once did we stay at the pool area of either hotels.our room well what can i say, shower flooded room,we had to use the towels to mop up,i left them on floor to be changed, when we got back after a few hours the maid had folded them and put them back on the towel rack!!!!!3 days they were there.
staff my god no one speaks english!!!!! very ignorant, very miserable, not helpful, need customer service skills, back to the room you get a fridge but it doesnt work for 3 days we put milk in there only to find it had turned to yoghurt within a couple of hours, you get a flat screen tv lovely dont work!you have to pay for the remore we think because this hotel has no information about any thing. To my horror ther is no health and safety notices any where in the event of fire i honestly do not know what you would do,as there is nothing in the rooms to tell you were the meeting point is or nearest fire escape.i could go on for ever.all i can say is please do not go to this hell hole. i have been a travel agent for 10yrs and never ever had to complain about a hotel ever, but this one i have emailed the manager direct,i wouldnt even rate this a 2*.save your money and look for something else.

It is now called club S'estanyol the rooms are very nice with jacuzzi bath and flat screen tv.

Very clean as the maid is in daily, as for the food well it leaves a lot to be desired more like 2*.

The problem is that you had to eat and drink next door in the San Remo as they are now joined with a walk way.

There is no entertainment whatsoever so it meant that you had to go out at night although there are bars just over the road.

We ate out most nights and were out everynight for entertainment. All right for us but a shame for those with kids and who did not budget for this as being A/I not a place I would return to in a hurry.

Me and my partner stayed in the hotel S'estanyol for a week on a bed and breakfast basis. The poor maids worked endlessly. The food was ok for the first coulple of days then it got boring. The location was excellent. The staff would walk away when you approached them and were not interested in wanting to help.

The entertainment chap was brill, he worked all the hours god sends.

The hotel was old, dirt, definitely not a 3star. Our balcony was falling off, the taps were not in the wall and plaster was coming off behind them. The socket kept giving off sparks.

The reps were unapproachable. The entertainment room had shabby furniture that if you sat in a chair you needed a hoist to get you out.

The reception area was small, cramped, dark and dingy.

It was very noisy with drunken youths shouting, banging and being loutish. our friend was assulted by a drunken guest. The smell of sewage was very strong during the night so needed the door tightly closed.

We were very disappointed by the hotel and would not visit again. It is more suitable for the 18-30's who are not botherd where they sleep.

Having read the reviews of the hotel-after booking- I was a bit apprehensive of the hotel but had a thoroughly good time. There was a fair bit of noise on the first night we were there- Saturday- but after that we found it pretty quiet after midnight. The choice at breakfast won't be beaten anywhere and most of the guests seemed to make it there at some point!

I'd agree that a room with a balcony should be booked as this was the main thing our room lacked. The rooms themselves were basic but ok- it's not as if you're going to spend hours in them after all. The hotel is ideally located to get the ferry across to San An- a ten minute journey- or the walk which is only 20-25 minutes.

Id recommend it and would stay again.

We went to Fiesta S'estanyol in August and thought it was perfect if you want a mad holiday with no sleep no food and lots of vodka.

The location was brilliant, you would get in from the clubs and go swimming in the sea with all your new hotel buddy's. see you next year!

Stayed at the Fiesta S'Estanyol Hotel in San Antonio Bay in July 2005 which I had booked with Thomson Freestyle.

When I first arrived, it was brilliant. The hotel is right on the beach, literally, and the main bars in the Bay are right behind the hotel. I woke up first morning, and the reps seemed friendly and asked if me and my friend were coming to the welcome meeting.

The meeting was good, and the reps seemed up for a laugh, and I thought I would have a good holiday.

A couple of days into the holiday, we bought tickets to Eden for the Judge Jules night. We were promised a poster and CD's from the reps, but never received them, even though I asked about 4 times for them. I then just gave up!

After that, the reps didn't seem interested in making an effort with anybody, seeing as they had took all your money off you for the nights out for the two weeks you were there, and left left us after nights out, after making a promise for the ''best bar crawls in Ibiza''.
Apart from the reps, the rooms weren't as good as promised, and my room didn't have a balcony, just a railing in front of the patio doors and no air conditioning!!!

All in all, the holiday was good, apart from the reasons above. It was great due to the fact that we were right on the beach, the bay, and the town are two of the best places you can go to for a brilliant holiday to remember.

Me and my friend visited here in June and we loved it.

We were on the 4th floor looking out onto the beach. The hotel was described as a zoo and was busy 24/7. For example when we first got there we were awoken by 3 lads skinny dipping in the sea who were soon joined by others returning from the wild nights out. This hotel is definitely not suitable for those hoping for a relaxing holiday or after a nights sleep but for gods sake it's Ibiza why would you sleep.
The staff were helpful and enthusiastic however did lose interest near to the end of the week, but if approached we found them ok.

The food was brilliant with the biggest selection of food to choose from meaning u could eat so much that it would fill u up for the whole day, however on some heavy nights we struggled to make it down.

The locations great about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the town or water taxi's from the jetty.

The entertainment was good with music all day of the dance/house variety and various entertainment in the evening.

We found our room great and really really clean. Everyones saying it was dated but we didn't think it was too bad and lets face it if your anything like we were we didn't see much of our rooms because we were too busy partying. The pool is small and we weren't told about the pool next door but after making friends at a hotel an couple of doors away with an enormous pool we went there.

Overall an amazing holiday perfect for those up for a loud eventful fun and wild partying holiday!

What can I say!
The location of this hotel is perfect, practically on the beach! It could be such a fab hotel... Unfortunately we were not aware that it attracted such people, who to be perfectly honest, made you ashamed to be British. . .no wonder the staff were so rude to some people, although they were courteous and friendly to us.

Arriving during the early hours, we didn't expect to find such a queue at the hotel waiting to book-in, we had an hours wait before we finally got to the front to claim our key. The poor chap on reception, advanced in years, had no one else to assist him, I must say that under the circumstances, he coped very well...I.m sure the hotel were aware of how many people the were expecting, so this could have been avoided.

While waiting in the queue, the lift doors opened and there stood 2 lads in boxer shorts, who were just as surprised to see everyone waiting as everyone was to see them. They then sat in reception drinking, as they were, until the poor chap working on reception left the desk to ask them to leave, they did but not without giving him a mouthfull of abuse!!

Our room was tired and dated with old fashioned furniture, but as we were asked on arrival to pay a deposit of 60euros on our room, we weren't expecting much. The floor was very marked and the bathroom was clean but old. The maid kept us clean and comfortable with linen & towel changes daily.

We had paid extra for a Balcony with sea view when booking, but found that we were on the first floor directly above the bar and a great big speaker that we later found would play mind numbing dance music from late morning till midnight. Don't get me wrong, I love most music but I wasn't even able to think in a straight line by the time it was turned off!!!
Then as the bar was still full there would be raised voices until around 2am...followed by the return of the not so well behaved at around 3.30-4am. When they had finished skinny dipping in the sea, close enough for us to hear lapping the shore, they would then proceed to their rooms and hold races up and down the corridors, banging on doors and shouting. Then they would retire to their rooms and play their own loud music, eventually this would fade probably due to the fact that by then my sister and I had passed out from exhaustion!!

Breakfast was very good and possibly the best selection likely to be found in any hotel. There was a new selection of fresh fruit each day, plenty of hot/cold food selection, probably due to the fact that not all guests made it to breakfast!!! The hotel asked that only t-shirts are worn in the dining room, a rule that was very abused but the Maitre d' tried to enforce the rule whenever anyone abused it. He even made a few leave in the middle of their breakfast to change, just to make a point. The staff in the restaurant were very polite to us, but you could tell that they were selective who they spoke to.

The cleaners were forever trying to upkeep the appearance and believe me they had their work cut out for them...there was always lots of sand everywhere as we were right on the beach...but it was only evident to us why when we witnessed a few young girls carrying airbeds covered in sand up to their rooms from the beach!!! Some just don't have the brains they were born with or any manners!

All the drinks at the bar were served in plastic disposables including the coffee, that was the first and last of our money that went over the hotel bar!

The staff were overall courteous and helpfull if we asked them for anything but it was very evident that they had a lot to tolerate, my sympathy goes to each and every one especially the maids. Why the hotel owner allows this type of clientele baffles me, considering the location, it could be so much better.

We had no knowledge of Freestyle until this holiday, as our tickets said Thomson we thought we were safe...we were so wrong!!! Although they maintain it is not 18-30 the strong evidence supports that they are!!! At the welcome meeting the female rep said(mainly to the lads in the front seats)'well boys, if you've come to Ibiza for a s**g, this is the place to be...the week went downhill from there!!

As I said...What can I say...I'm gobsmacked and I don't consider myself a prude... I have a son around the same age...I'd lock him up if he behaved the same way!!

We stayed in this hotel at the beginning of June 2005. We arrived at the hotel somewhat disapointed at 4am by the dated decor and the rude hotel staff. We were also greeted by out hotel rep who had just arrived at the hotel very drunk after a night out.

The room itself was very plain and dated. Not much really worked in the hotel room and locks did not appear to be very secure, Would recomend if you do stay at this hotel to request a beach view otherwise you will have no balcony. We were lucky and were put in a beach view room however i would not have been happy at all if i had a room with no balcony!

The food was not to good and we only ate there once, its a good job the hotel doesnt offer half bored!!

Towards the end of the holiday all the Freestyle guest started to arrive and i would not recomend any couples visit this hotel in the freestyle season as it becomes very noisey and people are knocking on your door constantly through the night.

The only plus about the hotel is that it is situated right on the beach which was great, also not along walk from San Antonio Town.

We are visiting San Antonio Bay again this summer however we have picked a different hotel this year.

We got to this room and we found that the ceiling fan was not working correctly, the hotel had no balcony so was limited to not being in our room.

So instead we travelled bout 200m up the road to where our mates were staying and stayed in their apartments 5 out of the 7nights we were there for.

I didn't think the rooms were very clean at all constantly finding dirt on the floors, and the bathroom wasnt very clean, the only good thing about that hotel was handing the key in or departure date.

My partner and I along with two friends, stayed at the S'estanyol at the end of July 2004 for 1 week.

We found the hotel to be rather dated in decor but the location more than made up for that.

We had a room at the back of the hotel, which did not have a blacony and the ceiling fan (no air conditioning), squeaked when you switched it on, but it made no difference to the the heat anyway!.

The food was nice (we stayed b&b), with a wide selection to choose from.

After reading the other posts on this forum I feel that we were quite lucky during our stay as we weren't interupted by any noise whatsoever, although we didn't usually get back to the hotel until between 4am and 6am. I am going to invest in a good pair of earplugs I think as we have booked to go again this year, only this time we have paid for a seaview.

Oh my god never again. Travelled and stayed at this hotel on my own, had a single room with a ceiling fan that didn't work and the patio door didn't shut properly. My first night there people were screaming shouting til 8 in the morning it was relentless even though you're warned not to make a noise after midnight. My room constantly had yobs battering on the door and i spent many nights worried about people breaking in. The local jet wash is right outside my window and it was making a racket all day. That said the staff were friendly and the rooms were very clean

We stayed here for two weeks, was a good base hotel. Was nice enough, our room reminded me never to break the law coz this is what Brixton must be like!

We faced inland change if you can! Great hotel staff _ one of the holiday reps cared more about his hair than anything else so its not worth asking him anything - unless your a woman!

Great prices great food would go back as long as I had a sea view.
