| said: We have just come back from a fantastic stay at this hotel. The hotel and rooms were kept in an immaculate condition.
We booked a family room which came with a separate sections with two beds in it for the kids. The food was great and they had chefs cooking fresh different specialities each night.
The pool was wonderful and I felt safe in letting my children play around it. During the time we stayed my sister got married here and that was a wonderful day.
We were looked after well by the wedding co-ordinator and the buffet and cake were great! A fab day was had by all!! The only disappointment we had was the entertainment as others had mentioned.
There were the odd quiz and karaoke nights but other than that all the entertainment was in German.

Considering they are catering for such high numbers we couldn't fault the food.
Once or twice we had to queue to go into the dining room but the staff were quick and attentive and had you seated at a table as quickly as they could. We never had to wait too long.
Entertainment was centered mostly around the German children but we were prepared for this after reading the reviews first!
Would I go back? definitely!

| said: We visited this hotel with a large group of family & friends for my sisters wedding which was held in the grounds of the hotel and have to say it exceeded all our expectations!!!
The food at this hotel is second to none and nothing was repeted in the whole 2 weeks we were there even our fussy 2 year old was spolit for choice at the childrens buffet section. Best food we have ever had and we have tarvelled extensivley over the years!!!
There is nothing you could say needs imporoving at this hotel other than as mentioned in other review's the evening entertainment. We went with an open mind expecting that the entertainment was going to be ''International''. Our 2 year old didnt seem to mind that the mini disco had German songs playing she is still singing them now 6 months later!!!! However a few of the older kids were a bit bemused!! To give credit to the german kids team they were friendly and allowed the english kids to join in teh danciong round the pool in teh day and did even allow my child to use the soft play area and participate in a toddler session of paiting as long as one of her parents were with her!!!
The enternatinment didnt really spoil the holiday but had there have been a bit more aimed at the English kids it would have made an excellent holiday even better.
tip: book a family room they are well worth the money!!

| said: Just arrived home from this hotel after a one week stay,we stayed in a family room with a partial sea
view, no complaints whatsoever it overlooks the pool
and the sea, and is very comfortable.
Maids visit every day and give a first class service.
If you visit height of season air con is a must and
all family rooms have this facility. Our air con packed
up one evening at 23.00 hrs we phoned reception they
were most sorry and had it up and running within 20 mins.
I am fussy about my food and must say this was nothing for me to worry about probably the best hotel food I have eaten in a long time so much choice.
For us the location is not up to much, the beach is
covered in large pebbles which makes it a bit uncomfortabe under foot but the water is lovely and clear and ideal for swimming/snorkeling etc.
We spent most of our time by the pool as we have two five year olds, the pools are quite large and a nice temperature also very clean.
The village is about a twenty minute walk and a little bit dissapointing there is not much there about six bars, two supermarkets and a dozen or so tourist gift shops oh and a chemist just in case.
Hotel staff are first class and would go out of there
way to assist you, they certainly made us feel wellcome.
Entertainment is mainly based around German guests
but don't let that put you off you can still sit and watch its fun.
For the chidren the british kids club reps are fantastic, they entertained our children almost every day and they loved it.
In summing up, for us this was a very good family holiday, good food, nice people, location is not up to much but that did not matter to much as it was a family holiday not a shopping trip, go with this in mind and enjoy.

The pool was great you could walk straight into it.
There is a lovely breeze all the time which makes the hot weather more bearable.
The rooms spotless and the bus service to Rhodes Towns is excellent.
The only fault with the hotel is the entertainment which was German orientated which made the British Children feel left out.
As soon as we arrived back home we booked again for 2005.

| said: Just arrived back from this hotel, it is fab, wonderful pools, friendly staff, great food, only lacks some of the more refined details to make a 5 star hotel. the only problem........ Thomson's, probably the worst tour operator in the business.
To dispell previous comments this hotel is not in any way owned by TUI it is owned and operated by the Atlantica Hotel group a Cypriat company and not connected to TUI. to this purpose you can book the hotel direct and not through Thomson's, that way you can book the rooms Thomson's say you cant book, the nice ones that TUI try and snap up for German family's (2 rooms and 2 bathrooms) ohhh and did I mention that they give a nice hefty discount to returning guests bet you wont find that in a Thomson's brochure.
Ok we spent 2 wonderful weeks here, yes the entertainment is cr@p German animation team who mime everything including talking parts in their own language on most occasions. go with this in mind and as we did, laugh your head off. At the end of the day this is Greece not England, there are other people in this world with different expectations of a holiday. If you want everything to be English book Center Parks and stay here it'll cost you 4 times the money, you wont have much in the way of sunshnie, you stand a greater chance of getting food poisoning but at least everything will be in English.

| said: We arrived back yesterday after having had a great week. The pool area is beautiful and clean. They have water polo, and water volleyball and beach volleyball, all run by the german reps, although they are happy to let you join in and also good fun to watch. Plenty of sunbeds are available but you did need to get up early if you want one. The room was lovely with a fantastic view (sea view booked). Very spacious and clean and the maids are excellent. Welcome pack in the fridge was a nice surprise. As the hotel is fairly new the rooms and bathroom were in good condition. The variety of food was excellent and of very high quality. The staff were polite and very attentive. You will never be hungry as snacks are available all day at the pool bar. The hotel is right on the beach and towels are supplied to take with you. The entertainment is mostly for the germans, although you are welcome to join in. The staff however, cannot do enough to help you in all areas of the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel, although we travelled without children.

I work in a German bank I understand the culture, however when I made the booking it was not made clear the percentage of German guests in the hotel, it was not just the English who had a problem with the entertainment it was the Italians and the poles who did not understand.
The Atalantica hotel group is 49% owned by the TUI, my bank owns them....

| said: What a lovely hotel. The staff at this hotel from the manager to the pool boy are some of the nicest you will find. It would be easier to say what is not available to eat rather than what is. The variety is mega.
The pool area is beautiful and clean, it has various water jets and a large jaccuzzi. The beach is not up to much but worth having a swim in the sea as it is much warmer than the pool. A day at the beach also gives you a lie in as you do have to be up very early if you want a sunbed by the pool.
Entertainment well, if you like bingo and a quiz then your fine, because thats all there is in English. The rest of the entertainment is in German and the British are NOT allowed to join in. I was told by the Thomson rep that this was due to insurance. The entertainment for the German children is wonderful they all seemed to be having so much fun. Although it really is very sad to watch the British children watching them when they have been told they cannot join in. The thomson childrens reps were very good with the few resorces they had.
It says in the brochure exclusive to Thomson It should also say 80% exclusive to TUI which is German.

| said: Got back yesterday, a fantatastic hotel, lovely helpful staff, great food, but there is a problem ...... this hotel is 50% owned by the TUI group, and the Guests are 89% German. This becomes evident when the entertainment begins, the daytime entertainment is in german, the afternoon entertainment is in german, the evening entertainment is in german and the kids club is funny enough in german. Predictably this percentage of German guests causes unfortunalty causes a bit of friction i.e sunbeds being reserved at 11PM at night, games of waterpolo turned in to major tournaments. The Germans do not leave the hotel as it is all inclusive and seem unable to spend any money in any of the local bars.
The staff are excellent and still manage to smile even though nobody except the minorites thank them. The pools when you can get near them are out of this world, the beach in the next bay along is fantastic 1.50€ on a bus or 17€ by taxi :-(, the food is excellent prepare to be barged out of the way by stern faced germans though. The entertainment however is total CR@P it is put on by the TUI animation team and is total amatuerish, The Thompson reps attempt to provide the english with some entertainment but unless you like doing 3 quizzes a week (or Bingo) to win a T-shirt you will be very disapointed. The kids club is run by Thompson and the girls are doing the best they can, but as the german kids club has the run of the place only one room is allowed to be used by the UK children as opposed to three rooms (including a soft play area) which are exclusive for the german children. The kids disco is in german it goes on for half an hour every night they play one song in english, the kids show (on stage twice a week) is exclusive for german children, uk kids ar not allowed to take part :-(, imagine telling your 6 year old 'no you are not allowed to join in'.
Do not expect any help from the Thompson rep who is Condescending and talks to everone like they are children, complaints are not taken seriously, the answer to the enterainment is met by the responce ' t only says we do one quiz in the book we do three'
A lovely hotel spoilt by a wrong mix of guests

| said: The hotel was excellent, staff very polite and the cleanliness was first class. Food was brilliant too good infact, ate all day long. The rooms were clean and sufficient for our needs, clean towels every day and our sheets were changed three times in the week we were there.
The surrounding area is a bit desolate only a few shops for tacky souvenirs.
The biggest complaint I had were the Germans. Everything on the entertainment side was based around them. British children were not welcome at the day and evening entertainment. All announcements were spoken in German with a few English words thrown in for good measure. We spent all our evenings in the top lounge being waited on hand and foot, with the Thomsons staff (bless them) trying their hardest, or as best as they could to make us feel wanted!!!
If the British were catered for better then this would be a first class hotel to visit.
By the way you have to get up early to get one of the very uncomfortable beds!!!

| said: Hotel Cleanliness: Very clean throughout spot on.
Hotel Rooms: Although spacious and clean our room like all Thomson british guests was inside the main building which has no air conditioning until July, so it was extremely uncomfortable, particularly with an infant.
Hotel Food: On a two week cycle, so never the same thing twice, lots of variety and a seperate childrens buffet. So no complaints there.
Hotel Location: Middle of notalot. Other than its near to the beach, not much else can be said, if you don't drive abroad.
Poolside: Was quite suprised that poolside they were playing the uncut version of 50 cent rap music with F this and that whilst the kids were about. After I complained they switched it off, I guess the Germans didn't understand it!
Entertainment: Like others have pointed out there was no entertainment provided other than for the Germans. The rep was keen to point out in the brochure it states its for international guests (so whats a British person in Greece if they are not an international guest!) As a former Thomsons group employee I urged the rep to cut the company cover up, and provide an alternative, which was the start of once a week bingo. Fortunately we met a english speaking German couple who translated a lot of the entertainment for us in the second week which was quite funny. As a stroke of luck they were friends with members of the animation team, who then took us out in their hire car. If it wasn't for them our holiday would have been a disaster as theres not much else going on nearby.
The Germans are not all bad, same as us really, it's just the odd one or two that let the side down.
