| said: 5 of us stayed at the hotel Mercedez for a long weekend (friday - Tuesday). Really did not know what to expect when we arrived. I have to say, we had a great time. Although the deco in the hotel was traditional (lots of browns etc) it was very clean. We were made welcome from the outset and the staff were extreamly helpful. We stayed on a B&B basis, but only managed to get up for breakfast on the first day. Food was ok. It was your standard continental breakfast (cereals, breads, hams, cheeses, juice, coffee etc). Location was fab. About a 5-8 minute walk through the shops to the breach front. If you dont want to go to the beach, the hotel's pool should do the trick. Not massive but good enough. In terms of distance from all the nightlife, again, this was only a short walk away. With regards to restaurants, you will be spoilt for choice. They are all on your doorstep.
Would I stay here again....yes, no doubt. The rooms were cleaned daily, we had air con which was a life saver, cable tv, balcony. The views from the hotel room wasnt the best but we werent too disappointed. Everyone had a great time. I hope this helps
