| said: As a person who makes the best of every holiday of which I have had many, I would sincerely recommend that if you are contemplating a holiday at this hotel then just do not go.
I read the poor reviews and thought it cannot be that bad- well it is. I wish I had saved my 1800 pounds and not gone.
The food was bad we were all ill, we were hassled constantly and it is not all inclusive in fact there is a padlock on the fridge freezer where the ice creams were.
The main problem was our room was directly between two mosques and whilst I am aware that there are many traditions and respect these beliefs we were kept awake from 3.30.am most nights as the calling to prayer was so loud. We complained asking to move rooms but no body would help it really distressed our 4 year old, who was very frightened.
My advice to anybody is cancel this hotel and either pay more or stick with Europe.

| said: Went to this hotel following a week's cruise and so I expected to be a little disappointed... The first impressions were good, very clean, nice views etc but it went downhill rapidly from there. We were given two rooms with a view over the bay. But unfortunately it turned out that the disco was next door (despite being advertised as on the beach, finishing at midnight) it went on until after 1am and was so loud that things were vibrating on the table in our room. When we called Reception to complain, initially we were told that they had turned the music down (not noticably) and then we were told it was "Tough ****" and not to call again. I tried to bring this up with reception the following day and received pretty much the same reply - they offered us a room change which was totally unsuitable - too small, no sea view, next to the beer tent and given no other option.
The food seemed to be the reheated leftovers from the previous night, and the salads had obviously been left out as they were dry and in one case going brown. We resorted to eating out on a number of occasions after one of the party became ill. The meals on the beach were of better quality.
We had a big problem with people hassling us constantly when we were on the beach to buy things/trips etc. They would go away when you said no but returned after about half an hour and tried again.
The entertainment was laughable, the first night was advertised as a Comedy Show, which seemed to consist of getting people out of the audience and embarassing them. There was a singer in the tent, who I thought was just there for the Karaoke, but was in fact the act for the night, every night...
The beach was very good (apart from the hassle) and the snorkelling was great, and accesible for pretty much anyone who can swim a little. There was however no Lifeguard on duty and no first aid provision anywhere around the beach - I was told to go to the clinic to get a plaster as there were none available...
All in all I wouldn't recommend this hotel - I tried to speak to the manager and the rep whilst in resort without success...

| said: Just returned back from 4 days at this hotel and cetainly won't be going back again!
From the moment we arrived it was a battle. Firstly we had booked 2 large family rooms, they tried to put all 4 of us in 1 room with 2 bedrooms and a living area not large enough to swing a cat and with the view of the back of the tent which is the only 'indoor' bar! It didn't go down well when we said no that wasn't what we had paid for. Our second room wasn't bad but my sister was sent to the opposite side of the hotel to a small grotty room which she refused! In the end we got 2 rooms with fantastic view over the sea, but still not very big, so we decided they would do. Our air con/heating didn't work so over our 4 days I complained at least 8 times to be told they would come and fix it but didn't! It gets really cold at night time a little heat would have been nice. Which brings me to the bar... an out door 'tent' with holes in the roof! Far too cold to enjoy sitting in and most people sat with blankets round them.
The staff in there made you feel as if it was a chore to serve you! They were so ignorant.
On the beach at lunch they did pizza, burgers etc but if you wanted chips then you had to pay! I pitied anyone with children as they were spending a fortune at £1.50 a go. No ice cream either unless you paid £3! I could go on but I think you get the gist. Wish we hadn't moved from the Calmera but wanted to see different parts of Sharm.
My advice don't go!!!!!!!!!

| said: The hotel is kept spotlessly clean. That is about the best and only good thing I can say about this hotel. The staff are very good - only exception is the reception staff! who can be very surly and if they can't help its because all of a sudden they don't understand English!

| said: The staff were very friendly and enjoyed a bit of a banter, had great fun trying to speak Arabic as their English was near perfect. Got on well with the entertainment staff, although the entertainment itself was a little lacking, as long as you make the effort so do they.
Great mix of people in the hotel, Egyptians(other than staff) Russians, Germans and Brits. Position is right on the beach with a fantastic house reef just off shore with plenty of different coloured fish to see while snorkelling.
Looking forward to going back again in March 2005, having just come back from there in January. Taxis to narma bay as little as £3.00 English what a bargain.

| said: Stayed for a 2 week all inclusive break at this hotel in September 2004 and would NEVER return.
The rooms were very basic, the room maids worked very hard and were one of the few people who had a smile. He was one of the very few people who deserved a small tip each day.
The pool area and beach were well kept. The food at the A/I beach cafe was as bad as the main restaurant.
The all inclusive drinks at the bar were awful, don't know what the spirits were. The food was the worst I have ever eaten on any holiday. We spent most of our holiday getting a taxi to Nama Bay and eating out, lunch times we had various deliverys of fast food to the hotel! I was looking forward to fresh fish and local dishes.
The lift to the beach broke down twice during our stay with my daughter in law stuck for quite some time so we used the steps after that.
Made a couple of very short telephone calls home and when we booked out the bill was enourmous. The reception staff are so rude when you challenge them about the cost per minute.
Would NEVER visit this hotel again.

| said: Our room was clean but lacked balcony or sun terrace which according to hotel literature all rooms had! Advertised as a 4* while there we discovered it has been down graded to a 3*! Wide variety of food but not convinced on hygiene standard. Location was in the middle of no where and the live evening entertainment was diabolical! Some of the staff were very helpful and some were unhelpful! Both of us ill while there as were the other 2 people on our transfer.

| said: First visit to egpyt and thoughly enjoyed myself.
There is a real mix of people at the hotel, Russian and German. We seemed to the minority, however this didn't bother us. Location was great! views over the sinai mountains were surperb. just a quid or two into Sharm, which is great for diving - April was really good time to go as the dolphins seemed active!
