This is a lovely complex but unfortunately contrary to what we believed it is not family orientated the entertainment was geared towards the young people with loud music constantely day and night the bar is a 24hr one too so the young people came back around 5 in the morning making a lot of noise Not sure if it was the time of year but I would not advise anyone with young children or older people to frequent this We went for my daughters wedding and even the young ones who came up to visit us couldnt stand the constant noise meals were eaten outside in the bar area not in restaurant as we had thought as we were hb entertainment changed without warning in a matter of mins so not sure what was going on Food for hb served from a menu which was limited different menu if you were paying

We all had a great time at the Macronissos Village and would not hesitate to book again. Some of the best accommodation we have had, and a very large pool which the grandchildren enjoyed immensely. The location is good if you don't want to be in the centre of Ayia Napa (we didn't). A hire car would be useful if you want to get out and about, but if you are happy with a pool/beach holiday then you wouldn't need one. The excellent waterpark is walking distance and the bus runs frequently into the town centre. The entertainment wasn't really our cup of tea, although the hypnotist was good. We drove over to Pernera for most of our dinners as we like the restaurants there. Only had one meal next door at the Garden of Eden, which none of us enjoyed, and it was the most expensive meal of the week.

The Macronissos is a large sprawling "village" centred around a huge family swimming pool with plenty of beds. There's a childrens play area, football pitch and tennis courts. The rooms were a little "tired" but we were informed that during the winter months they are all up for refurb. Could not fault the cleanliness or helpfulness of any of the hotel staff. There's a bar area which is reasonably priced and the food is very good from small snacks to proper meals. Plenty of entertainment throughout the day and evening, I've never been anywhere where they give away so many free drinks!! The evening entertainment is different every night and of a very high standard. A must is the bbq night, only £7 for all you can eat and kids under 5 eat free.

The food at this place is excellent The weekly barbecue costs 7 Cypriot pounds and is all you can eat from a very good selection including Sweets. The maid was very helpful so the rooms were spotless. The site is 10 minutes walk from the Waterpark. Plenty of space for children to play safely. The entertainment was not so good and our representative was hard to find The childrens rep was away sick and when she returned she ran the club for only an hour and a half in the morming instead of the advertised 2 hours saying she had another job to go to. In fact on the first day our 4 children attended she "forgot" to tell us it was finishing half an hour early and returned the 4 children to our rooms with a quick apology for this! I would return to this site for the location, accommodation and especially the excellent food

Im only back from Macronissos Village on Sunday. It broke my heart to leave. My mother and I stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed our stay so much.

I will definitely be back here again.

Matt the enterntainer was great fun. The staff (Adam, Jimmy, Panos and so on) were so friendly and made us feel welcome it has been the best holday so far yet!

The food was lovely aswell. We stayed in room 510 and the maids had our room spotless everyday.

I Think we will be back in september!!

It has everything you need you have your huge pool, which isn't at all deep even in the deep end. You have a jazzui and then kiddies pool.

During the day you have your water sports and games while helen takes care of the kids club.

There is a play park, gym, massages, tennis court, football pitch and pool tables everthing to keep the kids happy.

You have a different entertaiment each night which is great fun.

This was our second visit - our first being Sept 06.

The complex is fantastic, beautiful layout, amazing gardens, spotlessly clean and great maid service.

The bar/restaurant is excellent with great food and bar staff who are extremely hardworking, courteous, and still great fun. They are all great characters and helped make our holiday.

The entertainment was great with the team doing a great job with the kids and with the adults.

All in all I can't wait to go back.

Maybe I shouldn't be writing this as the more people know how good this place is the harder it will be to get booked. On the other hand the staff deserve the recognition.

Will definitely be back

We visited with great excitement after reading all the reviews before we departed. Firstly the appearance was fantastic really up market and staff were very friendly to be checking in the middle of the night.

The pool and bar areas were great, the food was lovely and very reasonsable with the nicest chip butties in the world, with bacon toasties a close second!! The pool was amazingly clean but a tad cold (but expected for this time of year - once in a while it was fine. The maintenance around the pool and gardens was fantastic they really did take pride in the complex.

The cleaners were lovely and 6 out of the 7 days clean towels and room tidied and dishes washes - Faultless. The reception was very helpful and informative on what trips were good and booking scooters (Frosa was her name)

Only one down fall which to our party was a big disappointment - after reading all the entertainment that was offered and at the standard that previous customers had received we felt very badly treated. 2 weeks later I couldn't tell you the guy's name that was was our entertainer - which proves to me the amount of communication he had with us. The girl was a total mess with a frown permantely on her face, one day we watched at the pool her walking the kids around the pool area with her about 10 steps in front with very young kids making their own way to keep up - these poor kids weren't even being talked too, and I felt that considering the age of the children a closer contact with them would have been appropriate especially beside the pool areas where they were left making their own way to keep up....

The whole 2 weeks I don't think anyone in our party was spoke too not even addressed with a 'Hello' not once... which I thought was totally rude. Now in saying that the Guy (which I am only assuming is Danny due to him telling us about his previous fame!!!!! as a rapper as people have wished him well on the forum and to get back into it again - but maybe I'm wrong) he did try sometimes - possibly to hard to get noticed more. The one day we had music at the pool he constantly turned volume up down up down, then changing songs half way through and then the music would have been turned off after 1/2 hour... There was an entertainement schedule at the side of the bar which I did actually find amusing - not one thing that was on the schedule happened.. Apart from one day in first week scuba drivers came, but didn't stay long as when I looked again they were away!! A lot night things never happened or when something was orgainsed it was cancelled due to weather, times like this we were sent into the restuarant to sit, this is a closed area with a roof and games and entertainment could have resummed in there but didnt. Although one day they did play copy dvd'd of a very low standard which we decided just to go into town. From this I was disappointed we were looking forward to aqua aerobics, killer pool, water polo, drinking games, but unfortuately whether it was due to end of season or that they couldn't be bothered did affect our holiday. We did say to our rep when booking trips on the entertainment and he never came back to us on our complaint, it did seem that there was a friendlyness between reps and entertainers which to them we were the hassel. Morning wake ups for the girl were given over the mircophone and when she did arrive a hangover was more then obvious. I just felt for entertainment staff they could have entertained their holiday makers than sit together and stare at them.

Apart from that I would be back to Ayia Napa and this hotel as it was otherwise was faultless. Just maybe the hotel might want to change entertainers as it was very dishearting...

This village is a family orientated village situated on the outskirts of ayia napa, also within walking distance of the water park.

The garden like areas in which macronissos village lays are kept immaculate at all times and scenery is absolutely outstanding. The pool area is kept very clean and has a nice little jacuzzi and a small kiddies pool aswell.

The accomadation at macronissos village is fantastic, Much more than what you would expect of a 3star hotel and they are kept clean by your personal housemaid, 6days a week.

The bar area which is called Mac's Bar is not to expensive and the food which they serve is fabulous. They cater for all ages and the children were made very welcome by bar staff and waiting staff alike.

Entertainment in macronissos, as i was reading some of the reviews, most of them are correct. They have a full entertainments package presented by your in house entertainments team, and they are absolutely amazing.
Danny and Natalie were also the entertainers when me and my family were at this village and they were very very entertaining indeed, They entertained all age groups and they were excellent with the adults and children alike. They run an excellent kids club during the day where there is plenty for the little ones to do. And theres also a full activity programme for the adults ranging from aqua aerobics down to water polo, killer darts and much more.

They then come together to entertain with a full evening entertainment programme which consists of Bingo, mini disco for the kids, caberet acts, gameshows and much much more. There is something on every night, and you can sit back and relax as the two people mentioned above take over. Most people who visited would know both Danny and Natalie the "One Stop Entertainments Team" and if you ask anyone, im sure they'll agree with my review on this.

I will deffinately be re-visiting this hotel next year.

Macronissos Village is set just on the outskirts of Ayia Napa but is far enough if you just want to pop into town. The complex is right by the water park in Ayia Napa.

The pool is probably the cleanest pool I have ever seen and the surrounding areas of the complex are kept clean at all times.

The apartments and bungalows are all stunning and are kept immaculate every day by your personal cleaner.

Mac's bar is the pool bar/restaurant in Macronissos Village with very friendly staff and absolutely stunning food. Adam and george were the bar managers this year and the bar was better than ever.

Entertainment in Macronissos Village is nothing short of fantastic, I have been to thomson and first choice superfamily resorts and nothing compares to the entertainments team at Macronissos Village. The friendliest entertainment staff ever. The 2 entertainers when I was there were Natalie who run the kids club and Danny who run the activites in the day. They were both amazing people who I'm sure if anyone travelled to this complex this year you'll all know who Danny is because he been there all season.
Natalie on the other hand only joined in August and is brilliant as well.
They both come together in the nights and entertain both adults and kids. Mini disco is amazing with Danny and Natalie as they do their mad dances on the stage and teach them to the kids.
I'm sure if you been there this year you'll all know about the Absolutely AMAZING voice of Danny. Go on mate your gonna go far. I hope they're there next year.
Danny get back out there mate.
You're awesome.

We stayed in an apartment in the 100 block which was <50m from reception and <100m from pool and pool bar/restaurant. We stayed chose to stay full board, which apparently is a bit rare for people staying at this hotel. We had a set menu to choose from which changed most nights, this included 3 starters, 3/4 main courses and 3 desserts. We chose to pick something off main menu one night and they charge you a little extra for that. The food is quite good and you get BIG portions!

The rooms were cleaned 6 days a week and with that they are cleaned spotless, clean towels each day and the maids will do the dishes!! Good cleaning service although sometimes they do leave your patio doors unlocked and other people said the same. So check on room after your maid has been in.

Hotel staff were brilliant, we asked for a fan for the living room and got it same day! (because air con is only in main bedroom and if you have someone sleeping in living room you will need the fan!) All staff at Macs Bar are nice and friendly, do anything to help and to make sure you are enjoying your meal etc. Entertainment staff are good fun, great with the kids. Although they do not do all it says in brochure, water polo, water basketball, aquarobics, pool tournament, football and kids club still happen.

This complex is situated 5 min journey from centre of ayia napa centre, 5min walk to beach. Perfect location for us.

We have stayed in Ayia Napa twice before at Adams Beach. Because we were taking 2 children with us this time, we decided to opt for a spacious bungalow here instead of paying out for 2 rooms at Adams Beach (big difference in price). However, were very dissappointed with a few aspects of this hotel.

The bungalows are great - having loads of room, but the air con is only on in the main bedroom (and costs you 3C£ a day), which means the rest of the bungalow is like an oven. The children were sleeping in the lounge and the heat was unbearable for them. The air con only comes on when you are in the bungalow, so you couldnt even cool the place down for them before night-time.

More worryingly, on four occassions after the cleaner had left our bungalow, either the patio doors or the bedroom sliding back doors were left unlocked, giving anybody easy access to our bungalow and all our contents. I complained about this...and it happened again the very next day. We resorted to taking our passports, cameras, camcorder and all our money to the poolside with us everyday then - not really ideal.

The pool is lovely, and the staff in the bar were nothing short of fantastic. The pool is great for kids and adults alike and kept immaculate, as is the gardens all around the hotel - lovely.

We paid for breakfast - 3c£ each per day, and I think breakfast and evening meal is only 5c£ each per day - well worth paying out for if you are happy to stay in the hotel at nights - food was very generous and very decent from what I saw. Entertainment on most nights, mostly tribute shows, but ok for light entertainment.

Kids entertainment however, was atrocious. Very dissappointing indeed. Activities were announced but then cancelled, some took place without any supervision or control, with small kids being thrown together with big adults to play games such as water polo, football etc. The One-Stop Entertainment team seemed to be more intent on telling everyone about their hangovers and late nights over the mike than announcing the pool activities for that day....kids club was very poorly attended - I think I saw 5 go one day, but normally it was just one or two.

I love Cyprus and I love Ayia Napa, and this hotel will suit a lot of people, I am sure. Just be prepared for the bungalows to be roasting hot, possibly left unlocked and unsecure, cope with a rubbish trickling shower in the bathroom (we used the changing room showers for a week, which were slightly better, but meant trecking through the bar with your towel and shampoo...)and dont keep your hopes up high for the entertainment!

I hope wherever you book for, you have a great time and enjoy your visit to Cyprus!

Just back from my holiday in cyprus and I cannot really fault anything here.

We stayed in room 518, which was near enough to the pool but far enough not to hear any music or noise from the pool bar.

The rooms were very basic but for self catering we did not need anything else apart from what was there.

Also kept very clean by the maids. Oh and one huge bonus was uk plug sockets...no need for adaptors.

Just couldn't fault this complex.

We normally holiday in All Inclusive 4/5 star resorts in the Carribean and this complex was not disimillar in the layout of the rooms

We stayed in the 600 block top floor and had views of the pool.

The maid service was excellent and she even does your washing up!

We only ate at lunch time but the portions are masive and prices really reasonable. The drinks are also cheaper than in the main resort of Ayia Napa.

On the downside the entertainment lasted till 2a.m which meant if you were staying in a room near this area it was pretty loud.

Overall we had a great time and will be visitng again next year.

£5cyp in taxi to town or 70 cents on bus! Not too far away from Ayia Napa if thats your thing, far enough away if not.

Water park 5 minutes walk - highly recommend.

Whilst out there last year with my mate,we stayed in one of the bungalows for 7 nights. Itit was absolutely perfect. It was spacious, modern, safe and immaculately clean.

We thought we would give the hotel food a try on the first night and it was so good that we never ate anywhere else. The location itself was terrific. 5 mins in a taxi into town for the nightlife, but ideal for a relaxing holiday during the day.

The staff couldnt have possibly been any nicer. They constantly had a smile on their face, nothing was too much trouble for them & they had a great knack of remembering your name and taking an interest in your holiday. The entertainment was spot on lots to do during the day or at night, weather on your own or with other gueasts.

Try the Cypriot night in particular for good fun, great food & for getting to know everyone....

There was so much on offer at this place. we were never bored. To begin with we had a lovely spacious apartment. Loads of room a massive balcony.

The staff were so welcoming. They were continously entertaining. Really made our holiday. They always made you feel welcome.

There was so much on offer entertainment wise they always had something on. You didnt even need to leave the place in the evenings. The food was excellent. FIRST CLASS. Ate there everyday. The best holiday ever, and we are hoping to come back next summer and for bringing some friends with us this time.

A beautiful place, extremely clean, everything to offer, Perfect location. Definitley worth visiting.

Very clean and peaceful location with beautiful flowers
and plants on the complex.

Cannot realy comment on the food on site as we ate out every day.

The complex is the perfect location for anyone that likes peace and quiet with great beaches and you know its only a 45 minute stroll or a 5 minute taxi ride.

Staff are good and the cleaners do a proper job. Again because we didnt spend a lot of time on site we cannot realy say what the entertainment was like but I only heard good reports from other holiday makers.

We will definately go back an I would recomend the
bungalows even though at first sight they look a bit
of a queer design and they are not realy for small children. For us they were perfect with a lovely sun terrace on the first floor.

We ate at the bar resturant most nights as my husband is in a wheelchair and it was very good. It was a long walk into town with a wheelchair but taxis were very reasonable in price. Most were very friendly we got on very well with the lady that served drinks and meals her name was Steff she was great and very funny.

The entertainment was a bit of a let down but it was ok. I will definatly go back we really enjoyed it.

I cannot fault the hotel as a whole. The people are extremely friendly and the hotel is kept really well. It is very clean.

However be careful on check in. We found that because you are Irish and perhaps because you booked with Budget travel, I do not know, that the hotel will tend to try and give you the lower end of the apartments they have available. Only on complaining and threating to walk out that they accomodated us with more suitable apartments.

The apartments that were offered to us were on ground floor level near a busy walkway. Totally not suitable, noise etc. The hotel eventually accomodated us and our holiday was fantastic after that.

My son and I visited last year and loved it.

The pool and bar next to it was lovely, we arrived at night and it was all lit up and it felt fantastic and very exciting.

The entertainment was amazing, very funny and just to warn the ladies, Sean is totally gorgeous, although is only eye candy as he is not into women which is a shame.

All the staff were fantastic, security guard Vassos and his friends, go down to their beach and you will get a warm welcome.

The apartments are pretty basic but spacious and the cleaners very efficient.

We did not find the location a problem and even walked into Ayia Napa a few times, you can hire a bicycle from the next door building.

The restaurant on site is brilliant but you must go to the "Limelite" in Ayia Napa town, amazing food.

We were not too impressed with the bar snacks but ate out mostly anyway.

Did not use any kids clubs or anything as there is so much to do and only just down the road from two lovely beaches (Macronissos is better than the main one in Napa).

You must hire a car and travel up the other end of the southern part of the island, the views are breathtaking.

We would def come back. I loved the cocktails too! Thanks for a lovely stay.

Just back from these apartments. Stayed in the bungalows, these are really spacious with a garden downstairs and a balcony upstairs. Clean towels everyday bar Thurs and Sun. All the staff are really friendly. There was no entertainment during the day however we later heard this was due to the death of the reps mother and he had to go home.
The pool area is great with a really large pool. On the downside they are 4 miles from Ayia Napa so you have to either bus it in (bus stops just outside complex) for 55 cents or taxi between 3 & 4 pounds. We hired a car for 4 days and explored the surrounding area. We are going back to Cyprus next year only staying in the center. Would recomend these apartments if you dont mind being a little out of it.

This was our third visit to these apartments. Pleasantly surprised with the new and massively improved pool area. Very clean room with a cleaner every day. The room next door did have problems with cockroaches though. Breakfasts and evening meal great but pricy. The staff remembered us and welcomed us warmly. It felt like we were coming home! Shaun is a legend - very funny and genuine and great with the two small children. Looking forward to next year!
