The room when we arrived was so small for 4 of us we asked to be moved straight away, we got moved to a bit bigger room on the 2nd floor, with a balcony. i had to ask the maid to sweep the floor as it looked like it hadnt been done since the last people were in, i ended up buying my own cleaning products, because it was disgusting. The food was ok we only ate there a couple of times, some lovely places nearby to eat a lot cheaper. The hotel staff (waiters) were great nothing was too much trouble.Entertainment was ok but a bit repetative, I had a very nosey maid who took a liking to a pair of my trousers, and suprise suprise, they were missing when i went to pack my case.. Pools for the kids were ok, and there was always sunbeds available for us...

Just got back from a 2 week holiday at the antique palace and there have been many changes. We went last year and so re booked as we enjoyed it so much..But when we arrived we were taken to our room it was ok, we had a 2 bedroom appartment the 2 shower rooms were both filthy with black grime and mould in both shower rooms, looked like they had never been cleaned, the en suite bathroom also smelt disgusting!
The waitors were only interested in the guests spending money in the hotel and constantly harrassed you to be buying drinks, ice creams and paying for there themed nights!!!(which were exactly the same as last years)so we had been there done that and got the t shirt!! we also noticed how filthy all the pools were and our suspicions were proved right as 2 out of my 3 children got bad ear infections from the pool water and had to be put on antibiotics and ear drops for 5 days!! thet eventually took a pool water sample in the 2nd week and closed the pool off it was so dirty!!! 1 of the slides was also broken and not even repared in the 2 weeks we were there!! Also the sunbed situation was a joke with people getting up at 6am to reserve sunbeds and then not coming down til midday to use them!! thet had leaflets up saying no towells on sunbeds until 8am or they would be removed what a joke!!! on the 2nd to last day we were also asked if we would do them a favour and move hotels as they had over booked!!! i said no as it wasn,t my problem but in short i won,t be going back for a 3rd year!!!

we have just arrived back yesterday and so this report is very fresh in my mind.
after travelling throughout the night we were all extremely tired. on arrival at the hotel we were checked in quickly and shown to our room. we had booked a 2 bed appartment and were pleased to see it was easily large enough for the 5 of us. it had a bedroom with a double bed, a room with twin beds and a settee in the living area which easily converted into another double bed. the rooms weren't as bright and clean as last time we stayed in turkey, but the last place we stayed in was brand new so that was to be expected.although we were self catering the cooking facilities were pretty poor. but were found lots of excellent places to eat anyway.
after unpacking we took a stroll to the local supermarket which was only about 20 mins away. the rep who was on the coach from the airport reccommended KIPA as it is the Turkish Tesco.
at the welcome meeting the restaurant/bar staff were very attentive, particularly towards the children, who lapped up all the attention. they were keen to tell us about their menu and things that were happening. although we are not naive and know it's their job they did make you feel very welcome.
the only downside to the restaurant/bar staff was that it was obviously part of their job to keep you on the complex and so we sometimes felt that we were trying to escape from colditz in order to eat elsewhere. Big mention to 'Amadeus Bar' at this point excellent meals and staff. good food at Hot Stuff too. both these bars are only a stones throw away.
entertainment at night was very repetative. but if you looked at other places locally they also repeated the same things night after night so maybe that's just the way they do it there.drinks and food were more expensive on site than other bars. also there are signs up saying that you can't bring food or drinks from shops etc to the pool area, you have to get them from the bar. in the two weeks that we were there i didn't see them uphold this rule.....as long as you weren't too blaten't about it.
our room was swept and beds made every day....although i did hear other people moaning that theirs wasn't.
The pool boys were forever walking around keeping the pool area tidy....and taking drink orders at the same time. they are also up for a swim if you can manage to push them in!we regularly saw chemicals added to the water to ensure it was clean. the slides were only opened at certain times of the day, but these were regular times and stuck to so that kept the kids happy. unfortunately one of the larger slides was broken and so it couldn't be used.
all we had to report maintenance wise was a blown bulb in the bathroom, which was replaced within an hour or two.whilst on the subject of the shower, the bathroom was turned into awetroom whenever it was used.....but then again i've stayed in places when the water barely trickled out so this didn't bother us too much.
the staff worked very long hours, often in the bar til it closed and then back in the restaurant or poolside before 8am.
special mention to Rammi, Charlie, Jimmy and Sam the Man.
also if you are around poolside at 4.30 it's worth popping into the bar to play prize bingo with Duane.....cheeky chappy but made us laugh.
all in all we had a great time at Antique Palace.
(one more thing my son had to visit the pharmace due to a rash on his leg. he was sent straight to the doctor who gave him introvenous antibiotics 3 times and it cleared up brilliantly. they were very attentive and kind to him.)

We have been to Turkey many times before but this time we travelled to the Antique Palace for our honeymoon and had a fantastic time.

We stayed B&B but we weren't Overly keen on the breakfast as it was all Turkish Food but we still managed to eat something from it everyday.

The food from the restaurant for lunch and dinner was gorgeous. We ate at the hotel many times and enjoyed our meals everytime. We never once had a bad meal.

The cleanliness of the hotel and rooms was very very good. The maid cleaned our room everyday and changed our bedding twice a week and the pool area was cleaned every night/morning.

The staff are very friendly and will try there very best to help you. Best Staff member is RIO.

The entertainment at night was very good for both kids and adults. We had a party of 17 meet us on our 2nd week and the kids loved the entertainment every night.

I am pricing this hotel for next year already as i would have not problems in returning to it. We had a fabulous time.

Myself (21) Boyfriend (22) His mum & dad (40s) and brother (11) and sister (14) stayed at the hotel on the last week in June, first week in July.

On arrival after a delayed flight we were told by the man on reception there was no 1 bedroom apartments and we were shown to a floor underground to two hotel rooms instead which consisted of a double bed and a shower room. There was no light what so-ever in the rooms so the offer of free air conditioning was irrelevant. Being 4 months pregnant and having just travelled through the night all I wanted was a shower and to lie down but after being told to wait in reception for 5 minutes (which turned into 30 minutes) we were shown to two hotel rooms which were a few floors up.

After putting the cases in the rooms I went downstairs to see about changing to apartments when they became available and having discussions with a member of staff who was not willing to transfer both parties into apartments - but would provide us with ONE apartment to share.
Anyway - eventually myself and my boyfriend were transfered to a one bedroom apartment the next day but the other 4 people had to suffer a tiny hotel room with only sleeping space for 3 people and no facilities to cook or store food.

In both rooms the showers were rusty, shower curtains stained and falling down. The cleaners were in everyday, folded the dirty towels and changed the bed sheets once and on the first night in the apartment room one of the kids spilled some crisps on the floor under our table - this was still on the floor when we left 2 weeks later.

The location of the hotel was fine and if you ignored the pressure to attend a BBQ on a Wednesday (which you were pressured by the staff from a Sunday to a Tuesday night) you could usually enjoy a day by the pool which was a decent size and plenty of sunbeds.

Cannot comment on the entertainment as I rarely stayed in the hotel but everytime someone ordered a cocktail (which was maybe one every two minutes) all the bar staff would gather round them and sing a song, spray deoderatant and light it - put me off sitting at the bar as this was constant for hours and you could not enjoy yourself.

Into my second week 3 cleaners were involved in a fight which resulted in two little girls being caught in the middle of 3 women punching and scratching one another and one cleaner getting knocked out black - when anyone complained about this behaviour we were told "this sort of stuff happens".

Would not recommend the hotel but LOVED Marmaris and will definetely return!

We stayed in the Antique Palace in Marmaris. To some up the hotel in one word its Disgraceful!

We arrived at 3am in the morning to be given the keys to a room only instead of an apartment. The room was tiny with 2 beds and a shower. wanting to freshen up i was greated by a filthy shower room, the shower curtain was suppose to be white however it was all stained and the shower head was rusty. Being so tired i just headed for bed and thought we would sort it in the morning! Next morning we went to reception to complain that we were in the wrong room and the manager didn't even know we arrived. The manager said he didn't have any apartments, then a room became available at 12pm. The manager gave us the key and told us to take our cases to our new room.. Well we could not believe our eyes, we thought that the room we were in was bad, we couldn't believe that they had not cleaned the room it was discusting. Being tired and 3 months pregnant i was an emotional wreck, i was told the room was going to be cleaned! myself and my fiance complained to our first choice rep and was told if we wanted to change we would have to pay a further £106 they would offer another room but they were all taken. I was in disbelief. Thinking i was being hormonal we agreed to rest by the pool for a bit and relax giving the cleaners time to clean. When going back to out room at 4pm the cleaners had been in but it didn't make a deference the showers were discusting and on opening thE wardrope there was all soiled dirty pillows. I have never stayed in such a dirty hotel. the cleaniness is poor, the corridors are blacked out so you can see the dirt, the lifts are filthy all in all the hotel is shocking! I was so upset that not even the basics were we not clean, we dicided to pay the extra and move to the club alize. which was well worth the money!

my mother and i stayed at antique palace for the first time in may 08. i honestly cannot fault it in any way, was the best holiday i have been on to date. the cleaning of the rooms was basic but adequate. the reception staff very helpful as we needed a room change when we first arrived as the one we were given was on the main road and was very noisey at night. i visited the hairdresser a number of times for a blow dry, the guy that did it was excellent, i went back a number of times (saved doing it myself of an evening)the bar/waiters etc were second to non, they made our holiday a special one, one my mother and i will never forget. nothing was to much trouble for them. murat, ozkam, hamit, rami and memet are the nicest people you could ask to meet.their service was first rate. you do get a bit pressurised to attend the wednesday entertainment though. its a good night out and all the food is included in the price, works out about £10 each.the entertainment can get a bit repetative if you go to often.

Stayed for one week at the Antique Palace 29 May - 6 June 2008. have to9 say was a bit converned after reading some of the reviews but most proved wrong.

The Hotel was really clean and the rooms were basic but spotless. The maid was in every day and fresh towels and linen every two days. the strange thing was if you were self catering you had to supply own toilet roll but if you go B&B it was supplied?!?

The staff were all really friendly and the restuarant/snackbar on site was good value for money. The service was good and did nothave to wait too long. The entertainment was good but a bit repetative. Hot Stuff Restuarant just round the corner was fabulous and the staff terrific.

The hotel is a bit out of the way but the local buses pass the hotel every 5-10 mins and are a great way to get around.

I would recommend this Hotel to anyone it would suit couples or families.

Stayed at the Antique Palace for one week and had a fabulous time. Rooms were basic but absolutely spotless. maid in every day and clean towels and bed linen every second day. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Pool area fantastic with 3 main pools and one toddlers pool. Restuarant/snak bar was good value for money and the staff were a riot. watchout when you order cocktails they go absoultely crazy with sparklers and a unique surprise. Couldnt fault the hotel and I was concerned after reading some of the reviews. My husband and I would definately go back to that Hotel. Suitable for families and couples. Hot Stuff round the corner from the hotel is great fun.

We went on holiday as a family of 5, but in total there were 22 of us and when I booked the holiday I asked for ground floor with pool view due to me being registered disabled and the pool view was to watch my 13 year old son who has ADHD,although they would be requested they wouldnt be guaranteed. When we got out to the hotel, we were all very tired and just wanted to get to out room and collapse. But I was told that I had a 3rd floor apartment with no pool view which I was not happy about.
I explained I had requested ground floor with pool view & my reasons why, but the reception staff were no help at all, even after showing them all my medication etc (as I wasn't getting through to them very well i thought they'd understand by seeing all the medication I had to take) and in the end I ended up sobbing,I was in alot of pain & wanted to sleep.I asked to see our rep, but was told she wasn't here till 9.30-10am,which was 4n half hours away,I had tried to ring on the number listed on the notice board, but could not get through, so I had no choice but to wait.Eventually she arrived,we explained the situation to her,I told her I was so upset & fed up with the whole situation I wanted to be moved to another hotel, but she tried & it was not possible. She took us up to see the room on the 3rd floor, which seemed pleasant on the first impression, so we agreed to stay there, the rep was lovely and very sorry for the way we had been treated and spoken to.Whilst in the room we found that our fridge didnt work so we were unable to keep our drinks cold(which you needed after a day in the blazing sun)we were told it was more of a bar than a fridge (it was clearly a fridge, as it had a freezer part in the top), and they wasn't interested in trying to put it right,we had to pay £45 for 2 weeks of air conditioning, but it was only in the 1 bedroom which was our double room, that left the kids with no air conditioning at all, so they wouldnt be able to sleep, so we ended up moving their 3 mattresses into our bedroom just so we all got some sleep.the cleaner came in to make the beds & saw all the beds in our room,we explained why and she bought us in an upright fan for the kids room, which we would have had to pay £10 a week for, but she gave us 1 for free and asked us to keep it quiet. Our cleaner was lovely, she was very helpful, and we tipped her 20 lira (which she was thankful for, and quickly folded it up and stored it in her pocket out of sight. As was the first choice rep (Michelle), but the rest of the hotel staff were dreadful, rude, arrogant, ignorant, and unhelpful.
The pools themselves were clean, but the poolside was filthy. There were loads of soggy old dirty dog ends from cigarettes everywhere, and plates of unwanted food left on the plates underneath the sunbeds, the slides were good for the kids (when they were open) but not supervised properly, which led to there being alot of injuries, my children had a few of them. The night time entertainment was pretty good though and the karaoke was excellent.there is a kids club which is organised very well.
The lift was broken down all the time, leaving me to walking up 3 flights of stairs all the time. The hotel do offer a laundry service should you want anything washed, they charge 10 lira per load, when I took a load down to them they tried to charge me 20 lira, I questioned the price & they told me I had to much,I basically told them to stick it. I found another laundry service round by hot stuff (down the side of the bike shop) that done the lot for 10 lira and they charged 15 lira to iron it as well (well worth walking out to that 1, smells lovely as well)the internet cafe is 5 lira for 1 hour on the complex, but the 1 outside up by hotstuff (jimmys) is only 3 lira for the hour and is a better one. There is a little fish & chip shop over the road called Harry Rams, they do gorgeous grub there, and there is a lady named Dee there who is a lovely lady, she was sad to see us go.Also if you are looking at having a tattoo, go to the studio outside where we all went, as the 1 inside messed up a mans tattoo which should have cost £140 (which didnt get paid for, and I didnt blame him for not paying either)
We were told by more than 1 person that the hotel Club Alpina is meant to be pukka, so next time we come to Marmaris we will most probably stay there, Never again will we go back to the Club Antique Palace, its write up in the holiday brochure is great, but nothing like the real thing. Its a shame as the entertainment staff were lovely, especially Unique who always called for my husband Lee to get in the pool to play all the water games. And look out for the photographer, he clicks his camera when you least expect it,although they are excellent pictures. All left to say,if you are going, go with an open mind.

Brilliant!!

the hotel was great. at 19 years old this was me and my girlfirends first holiday away from the uk alone. although we had friends a there wen we arrived i was having doubts as i normally get ear infetcions, what to eat, wer to eat, what to do if we got sick? after 10 mins this worry was completely out the window and it was time to chill and wind down, as soon as we walked by the 3 pools and the big water slides we were made to feel really welcome and at home, about 6 members of staff from the bar, shops and even the pool/slide attendant, chatted with us before we had reached our room. we were in block 3 one of 2 newer blocks built onto the hotel within the last 2 years and it was great! the room was nice with what we thought to be a pretty big balcony, until we realised we actually had 2!!
we just left our cases in the room and decided to go out for a walk, more welcomes from from the staff of hot stuff bar/restaurant next door, hamdi, mustafa and elvis wer amazing! we had a full english there everyday for £1 each!
wen we got back to the hotel i had to speak to Mustafa as i have read and heard so much about him, then i realised the he didnt come alone, there was lachin, husnu, another mustafa, abrahim, abrahim being mustafas best mate judging by the way the got on when they were together!! best group of lads ever! so funny.
normally my girlfriend and i would hit the sun loungers but we actually took out an hour or so around mid day to have a drink at the bar just to have a laugh with the staff nearly every day.
the entertainment in the hotel was pretty good with professional break dancers, belly dancers!!! lol, snake shows, michael jackson dancers and a cracking turkish night. oh i just remembered! the turkish bath! excellent!.....
we loved the place, that much in fact, were thinking of going back in october before the end of the season. if not though we will deff, be back next summer. too much to talk about!
we were sad wen the 6th of aug came around and we had a big group hug with the bar staff before we left.
great family hotel with pleanty for kids. turkish people inside and outside of the hotel were amazing. really helpful and friendly. and so welcoming. as soon as they heard our northern irish accents all we got was, whatta bout ye! whats tha craic? all the slang. lol really funny!
we would go back tomorrow!

My wife and I travelled to Turkey for the first time and stayed at the Antique Palace, not knowing what to expect.

We travelled with First Choice, and it all went very smoothly.

We found the hotel very clean indeed, with the cleaners coming round every morning, cleaning top too bottom.

The hotel itself was 'top notch'with clean pools(3 in all),loungers and staff constantly picking up litter.
Talking of staff, they were absolutly amazing and so friendly. They will cater for your every need.

I can guarentee you will not find fault with any of them!

The entertainment changed nightly from karokee to a Turkish Night, which is not to be missed.20 lira well spent! Also dancers and other entertainment.

We were so impressed we are going back again in October with our kids...

Our family holiday in Club Antique Palace was the best holiday we have had, so good that we have recommended it to our friends & they have already booked for next year. The restaurant & bar staff were very friendly & helpful nothing was a problem to them.

Our room was cleaned & towels changed regularly in fact towels were left in heart & flower shapes on our bed.

The food was very good & if we wanted something different they were always happy to oblige. The hotel is on the outskirts of Marmaris which we wanted but it was only a bus ride on the dolmus for 40p. We wondered why it is called the crazy bus, now we know why.

We went to the Turkish night in the hotel & the one that the tour reps organise & we enjoyed the hotel one best.

it is the 12th of july and i arrived back last night from antique palace after a 2 week stay, which i cant fault.
i would definatly go back but i wouldnt go b&b i would go self catering as there was never really alot of choice unless your the first down there but the restaurant food was cheap and very nice so we didnt mind paying, bar staff were amazing especially moustafa we became really attached to him he helped us out alot will miss him.
rooms were made up everyday. when they did the towels the were always layed out with flowers and in the shape of hearts etc.
we had turkish nights, with fire breathers, break dancers, belly dancers and much more.
am thinking of going back next year just a bit worried about the weather as it was nearly 60 on a few days out there.
but no complaints

We arrived 3 in the morning and the staff were very good they had us and our luggage in our room within 10 mins.bar was still open so couldn't resist!!!

The rooms was plenty big enough for the 5 of us the only downfall that ther was aircon in double bedroom which was a nightmare as whilst we were there it was a heatwave and reaching mid 50's.

The hotel is in a place called Armutalan which for families is great. The rooms were cleaned daily. As we were self catering we did eat in the bar a few times which we found good and plenty of choice. The hotel staff in particular were very friendly espically mustafa and emre the manager.

Whilst we were there I had a manicure and french polish and it was the best one I have ever had.

There was plenty of things to keep the kids entertained, with the pools and slides, entertainment was good too.

We will definatley go back.

The hotel is very basic.

Can get a bus for 1 lira in to main streets and bizarre.

Only get room cleaned once a week though.

However good slides an several swimming pools which are good!

Nicki our my travel rep we seen once over the whole 2 weeks!!! However Kelly the kids carer and Gina the first choice rep was very helpful!

Not a lot of evening entertainment so most nights we visited hot stuff an other bars, the best night to stay at the hotel is Friday a children's night Kelly an English girl that works at kids club and her work team think they called fantasa did a party for children an they loved it. The party is from around 8.45 and it finished at 11.15 was good for children. Also a kids club 11am for young children an 3pm for older kids. My children had such fun there they got their face painted played games made stuff they really enjoyed it!

Bar staff was ok but reception was very rude.

Would stay here again but would book with First Choice as the rep Gina there most days to help!

We arrived very early in the season and so the entertainment was a little bit sparse however we made our own.

Well done to all the staff they were great very accommodating they did their best to make our holiday a happy one.

The room was clean and spacious and sheets and towels were changed on a regular basis. There is a wonderful place to be pampered (nails, hair etc) and the shop supplies the basics.

Great holiday great people! we recommend highly

Just returned home yesterday from a two week stay in the Antique PPalace, Marmaris. Could not fault any of
the staff especially, Musti,Emres(bar staff)Emma who was brilliant, also Annie and Gina the rep, these girls couldnt do enough for us.

Our room was tiny,no bin in the room, and the floors in the room were filthy, air con was fab!!!

My 6 year old daughter loved the pool and the slides, although there was a few cuts and bruises off them.

Food I cant really comment on, as we ate out, but I would recommend Hot Stuff, Pallette and the Happy Budda restaraunts, food in these were lush!!!

The sunbeds were uncomfortable as they dont have mattresses on them. Entertainment wasnt up to much but maybe because it was the beginning of the season!!!!!

Well where do I begin. We had a great holiday, the only let down being this hotel, though we didnt let us get us down!!

The bar/restaurant
Service was abysmal, the waiters were nice enough guys but was a job getting there attention to put your order in/pay your bill etc, also seemed to be a bit of a communication issue going on as we ate there 3 times and 3 times they got our order wrong and ended up eating separately - We gave up after that!!

Pools
The hotel had 4/5 pools which were quite nice but seriously overcrowded. From what i gather this hotel originally started with 2 blocks and they have since added another 2, they should have also added a couple of extra pools to deal with the extra capacity. You had no chance of getting a sunbed unless you joined the 5am brigade - And no way was Iloosing any sleep doing that. The sunbed issue would probably be ok in lower season

The waterslides were good(4 in total) but for some bizarre reason were only open for 4 hours a day (9am-11am & 1pm-3pm) would have been much better if open all day(gives you something to do as no sunbeds available!!)

Kiddies Clubs
They had 2 sessions daily(except mondays), 3-8 years 11am-1pm & 8-12 years 3pm-5pm. These were run in a purpose built air conditioned room by a english girl Jeannette who was very nice - No complaints here, though daughter only went about 4 times

Rooms

Rooms are OK, we had a one bed apart which had all the usual facilities. You can tell they are fairly new(3rd season i beleive) But the dull colour scheme of the furniture and curtains make them appear more dated. The cleaner was in every day and gave us clean towels every day, the sheets were changed once in 2 weeks

Reception
We found the main receptionist(wont name him ) very rude and a complete jobsworth, had a couple of run ins with him in the 2 weeks for different reasons, in the end we complained to the manager(who we knew from a previous stay in the sister hotel GO2). Also watch out as when changing money or paying phonebills they never have any small change, only 1 or 2 lira a time, but can you imagine how much they are making doing the same to every customer. Also had a late flight so wanted to keep our room on till 8pm, but could only stay in until 6pm and paid £10 to do so

Turkish Bath
This was quite good, with all they guys and girls being really nice. The standard charge was 35 lira and this included the oil massage, but hubby got him down to 25 lira. They also offer face masques, foot massage(lovely!!) and head massage at an additional cost

Onsite there is also a market, clothes shop, internet cafe, tatooist & hairdresser (does a great pedicure)

Thats about it, Would I go again, no chance, not even if you paid me!! Unorganised Chaos!!

Club Antique Place is a large complex with a mix of All Inclusive, B&B and Self Catering.

Size of rooms vary vastly. Cleanliness was OK, our cleaner was very nice, but only done the basics like making the beds and mopping the bathroom.

Location is very good. Away from the centre but with lots of bars and restaurants to satisfy if you don't fancy getting dolmus into town.

Bar/restaurant staff a bit surly at times and lost interest in you if you didn't always tip or eat in their restaurant. One receptionist, Attila, was very, very helpful.

Entertainment not up to much, you have to go outside hotel to see some real entertainment.

Visited hotel 2 years ago and was very disappointed this time round. Had to view 3 rooms before accepting an adequate one.

We arrived at about two in the morning and were pleased to find the bar not only open but they were quite happy serve and chat with us.

The apartments were basic but clean and we had no complaints at all with them.

The food is good but not much choice but the staff made up for that with plenty of fun in the restaurant, Tommy and Yassim behind the bar always made us welcome and never complaind at all.

The hotel is well located with plenty going on nearby and is just far enough from the resort centre to get away from the hassel you normally get.

If you want a good fun holiday and are prepared to join in then you won't go far wrong with this hotel the lads were brilliant.

Well done!

Hotel accommodation good but basic, we had to ask to move across to the new block as the older ones were a bit small and was not overlooking the pools, as we wanted to keep an eye on the 5 teenagers we had. The air con was expensive and we were not allowed to hire a fan because we had not hired the air con which was only in the bedroom. The staff all round were fantastic, the food was very good, always on time and plenty of and at a good price.Entertainment was good. The location was good far enough away from the noisier parts, the dolmas was frequent and cheap to get to the center. We are coming back this year and bringing more with us. We stayed in the Club Antique Palace, Armatalan, Marmaris.

Went to antique palace apartments this this summer, and had mixed emotions.
When we got there, we were pleasantly suprised as we had paid for a 1 bedroom apartment (sleeping 4), but instead we got a two bedroom apartment (sleeping six). We had two en suites, and you had to swim out after you had a shower as it would always leak. One of the toilets was not working when we got there, but they fixed it straight away when we told them.

Rooms cleanliness was generally ok, not great, not poor. Cleanliness around pools was abit unsatisfactory.

Location was great, as it was not too near the centre, and there were loads of bars and restaurants near. One restaurant I would definitely reccommend everyone to go to is hot stuff which is situated right next to the hotel.

The staff there are friendly, they go that extra mile, and the food was always delicious. We preffered to eat there rather than the hotel as the service and food at hot stuff was ultimately better that the hotels, and it was cheaper.

Some of the hotel staff were abit arrogant, but most of them were fine (as long as they were gettin tips off you)!!!!!

Entertainment was ok, not brilliant, seen better in Turkey, but seen worse as well.

I would visit this hotel again, as the location suited us greatly, but I would not visit the hotel for the staff or the food, but for the atmosphere (which was good), and all the great mates we made whilst we were there - Emma, Michael, Ferdi, Aous, Varti, Marco... missin you all!

We have just returned from our fourth visit at Antique Palace and once again we had a brilliant time.Missed Robbie this year but his brother Ricky made up for him. Was sad to learn Andy was away by October. Great entertainment and food in pool bar.My brother loved Debbie the kids rep.

On previous visits had always eaten at Hot Stuff Restaurant but after waiting an hour and a half for a meal in June we didnt eat there again but still went for a drink but seen the real side of Kadir when he didn't speak to us again. Still returned because Cihat was great but really missed his brother Hamdi this year but still keep in touch with him from home.

Great hairdressers, omers brilliant.

We arrived at this hotel on the Monday tea time. The room we were given was on the fifth floor even though we requested a lower floor. First of all we got stuck in the lift, then when entering the room it obviously hadn't been cleaned. There was water running from the fridge across the floor, the floor was filthy and was covered with human hair. My husband found a dead cockroach in the bedroom.
The camp bed did not even have a mattress on it, none of us could sleep on that for two weeks!

We complained and a cleaner was sent to sort the mess out!Which was a waste of time she never cleaned the room properly.

We decided to have a look around the pool area two of the pools looked ok but the one with the slides looked like it had never been cleaned! The water was so dirty you could not see the bottom of the pool. As there was no rep around at the time we had to stay in this hotel for one night, and don't expect to get any sleep as they play loud music until 3am!

We complained to the rep and we moved to another hotel down the road, but we had to pay an extra £236, which we were reluctant to pay but it was worth every penny to move from this hotel!

We arrived pretty late on a Monday evening, we were shown to our apartment which were like small bungalows just below the water slides, the room was big enough for both of us, we had to pay £50.00 for the air conditioning but we definately needed it.

The apartment was very clean and towels and sheets were changed on a regular basis, the wasnt any creepy crawlies or dirt to be seen. we had a meal the first night we got here and the staff were wonderful and helpful. The pool areas were very clean and to a high standard.

The location was good because we were out of the way a bit, but still near enough to shops, bars and restaurants. The entertainment was great, we had a good time at the turkish night and throughly enjoyed the game of bingo everyday, we had a great laugh. The music was turned down before midnight every day and we had to noisy drunken people at all, we got a great nights sleep everynight. We will definately be coming back.

Food

First of all I reccomend that you do not go all inclusive at this hotel, the food is standard chips and pasta with one choice of meat and chicken, there is alot of places where you can eat out at, only a 2 minute walk up the road. Sahars fun pub was nice and in the new york bar all the staff have a laugh with you. The drinks are okay at the hotel.

Cleanliness

The hotel rooms were kept nice by the maids, but apart from that there wasn't much done around the hotel.

Location

5 minute drive to marmaris town centre in dolmus, people say half an hour walk to town centre but you have to find your way first, easier to use dolmus. If you want to go to Icemeler use a taxi as it is cheaper, the beach is also better at icemeler and water sports are cheaper there as well.

Staff

The one good thing about this hotel was how friendly the staff were cem(gem) especially, everyone was cheerful, and randy andy was a bit of a show off. Cem(gem) took me and my family to bar street and looked after us, great lad.

Entertainment

The kids club is aimed at 3-8 year olds, but for people like me and my freind aged fifteen there was nothing to do, no football or sport activities just one pool table in the resteraunt for around 1 pound, the slides were okay but were only open for 4 hours a day. On saturday night there was turkish night with break dancing, belly dancing and a crappy barbecue, but for the rest of the week they ad nothing, we went out every night.

My family and friends all had bad stomachs at some point in the holiday, personlay I would not reccomend this hotel.

Have just returned from a two week holiday at this hotel & it has been the worst two weeks I have every experiensed!!!

The Hotel was dirty & the rooms were not cleaned to a satisfactory standard the whole time we where there, it seemed the maids just tidied the beds & put clean towels in every few days, other than that they did nothing, sinks & floors were never touched. Rooms were very dark & dismall, very old fashioned decor & furniture & not enough storage space for a family of 4 to keep clothes for a 2 week stay we ended up living out of our suitcases.

Air condictioning very poor quality considering we paid £50.00 for it & when we complained where told this was the best they could do!!

Only spent one day by the pool & that night my youngest daughter was poorly with an upset stomach (later found out that recently a guest had deficated in the pool - Nice!!!)Spent the rest of our time at another hotel where friends where staying it was Fab!!

This hotel May suit some but I'm afraid we found it a complete nightmere & would definatly not recommend it if you have good hygeine standards.

The rep was very helpful, but unfortunalty as all the other hotles in Marmaris where full we could not be moved so had to endure sleeping in the terrible place for 2 weeks.

Just returned from the Antique Palace after a fab two week holiday in this accommodation.

The staff were brilliant especially Andy Ricky Taffy Lee Harry and Leonardo the pools are great 4 pools in all with one at the back with shutes the only quam bt this pool it was only on for a couple of hours a day better if it was on all day!!!!

The rooms were cleaned every day and clean towels. Although when we were there a couple of rooms were broken into and one of our party got money taken from her purse management were really good and the rep as well.

Only thing a would say was check your bill as they had a tendancy to charge you for things that you did not have but once pointed out it was sorted suppose if a worked up to 16hrs a day in soring heat a would make mistakes.

The hotel is very far back but we took a dolmus to the Cira hospital 1 lira each 40p and we got a taxi back at night although the food and drink was brilliant in the hotel and the entertainment was ok as well. 3 lira for a beer and 4 for a bottle of Miller and Bud cheaper than at home pleanty of rest and bars around that area so you dont have to go down the front.

Kids club daily british run and kids enjoyed it. Would definitely go back to this hotel due mainly to the staff.

Our first time in Turkey and we were pleasantly suprised lovely country and extremely nice people. The hotel was great everything you could possibly need close to hand.

The bar/waiter staff are very friendly and attentive as long as they are gettng your money. One tip check your bills as they have a tendancy to add drinks/food on that you never had or charge you twice so be careful.

My advice would be to eat in Hot Stuff resteraunt which is attached to the hotel but run by to brothers, the food is great, prices great and they are genuine people happy to serve whether you give them your money or not.

The Rep Ellen is a waste of space if you have any problems see Jamie-Lee the hotels customer services rep. If you have any need to seek medical advice dont bother to ask the rep to get you a doctor as you end up paying out a fortune take the patient straight to the Private Caria Hospital yourself they are absolutely fantastic and sort everything out for you and speak extremely good English they looked after my daughter wonderfully.

This hotel was really good. It was very clean...the cleaners did a very good job everyday.

The food was great, we had a large variety of food choices cooked at a very high standard, We also had the choice of 2 resturants on site.

Ok, the location wasnt brilliant, the beach and resort was a few miles away but we had no trouble getting there, there was a bus stop right outside the hotel. The buses were very cheap!. Also there was plenty of shops, resturants and club/pubs around the area to keep you happy....no complaints at all!

The Hotel staff were extremely friendly...they would do anything for you to make your stay there more enjoyable, They are also a good laugh...Top job people!

Every night of the week there was good entertainment on the site from Kareoke's, break dancers and turkish nights. They were very fun and enjoyable...we advise people to go to them because they may be suprised how much they will enjoy themselves!

I have already booked to go to this hotel next August and will look forward to it! Cant wait!!!

When we arrived the room looked like it had been on a late booking and had not been cleaned after the last guests. They was dirty toilet paper down the toilet dead bugs on the floor cockroaches dead and alive running around everywhere.

We were a family of 4 staying in 1 of 3 rooms. There was no space to store our belongings so we lived out of our suitcases for 2 weeks. We paid 50pounds for the air conditioning which was a waste, and 20 pounds for the safe which did not work. The cleaning staff was very polite but not very good at cleaning (why did they insist on taking all linen and towels every time they came) we spent most of the time chasing management for towels and sheets.

Pools - they were dirty never cleaned right if cleaned at all. My little boy found razor blades by the stairs in the pool area, when we complained I got a hand pushed in my face. The rep was a waste of space she told us we were lucky that she was there and she don't have to listen to us. That sums it up I suppose nobody wants to listen to the guests complaints, that's why the hotel is filthy and has arrogant staff, if you don't eat or drink there you will be shund.

So make sure you're prepared to live in a hell hole like animals for you're stay cos that's what management expect of you.

OK.. so maybe I am being a snob about it. You might like this place... there were lots of people there who seemed to be enjoying themselves... a lot... until 4.30 in the morning... off their faces... while their young kids ran around the unguarded swimming pool... nice!

IF YOU GO TO THIS HOTEL DO NOT EXPECT TO SLEEP!

There are those I am sure who dont mind that the rooms arent cleaned properly or that they havent slept for two weeks or that they have rat droppings falling on their heads from the suspended ceiling in their bathrooms and cockroaches running around the floor!

I am sure that for some, the idea of being forced to listed to Karaoke until all hours of the night and then being woken at 6.30 either by a loud and aggressive man or a team of "Football lads on tour" shouting and screaming would be a positive delight... not for us.

Worst two weeks I can remember...

When we first arrived at the hotel we thought it looked really good.

At first when we got into our room, it wasnt veryclean and had ants, but as soon as we told the staff at reception it was sorted out straight away and didnt have that problem again.

The entertainment at night was really good with the break-dances, kareoke, the little show the waiters put on every nite, and also the Turkish night was fantastic, the barbeque was brilliant. The staff are all very friendly too.

The location of the hotel was far back but there is very good shaops bars and resturants all close by. But just jump on a dolmus thats stops anywere for 1 lira (40p) and it takes you down to the beach front.

People do have different views on the hotel but I went with quite alot of Family and they all absalutly loved every single minute at the place.

Altogether I thought the time at Antique palace was Brilliant and we have booked to go back next year and cant wait!
I seriously DO reccomend this place to everyone!

First holiday to Turkey and was very impressed by the overall friendliness of the turkish people.

The Club Antique Palace hotel is ideal for families with young children but apart from that there are negatives.

The lower level/ground floors were infested with cockroaches throughout the week, this wasn't helped buy the fact that air conditioning for a room was very expensivre and a rip off!

Marmaris is a wonderful place, unfortunately not matched by this particular hotel.

Found the hotel to be great for families with kid's, but can get a bit noisy at night with people returning to there rooms at night. A little out of the way but plenty of restaurants around and very frequent dolmus'es to take you to Marmaris.

What can I say about the turkish people? Well we went on a boat trip (Captain Bullshit) and while at sea we realised we had left a bag containing a camera on the wall outside the hotel. We got back and it had been handed in to the hotel. Wonderful, thank you who ever it was.

All in all we had a great time in Turkey and is always our favorite destination.

Just got back from Antique Palace. This was our first trip to Marmaris and we will definitely be back. This hotel had everything we needed. I enjoyed the pampering at the beauty salon which is very cheap.

We went with only 1 child who had the time of her life and all thanks to staff at Hot Stuff Restaurant within the hotel. They took time to make friends with her and nothing was ever too much. They are now her new best friends!

The food in this restaurant was absolutely brilliant so we never needed to travel into Marmaris itself (Antique Palace is situated in Armutalan slightly outside). I can recommend the Testi and Ottoman Kebabs and the Fajitas.

Thanks to the Manager Kadir (Tom Jones), James, Rami, Daniel, Homdi, Yussuf (Cheeky), Elvis, Rosa and the chefs who all work very hard to give you the best holiday. Ask advice and they will tell you what to do and where to go without selling you it!

Modern clean hotel it seemed to have loads of entertainment for the kids but also ideal if you want to avoid the noise of the busy town center at night.

We loved it, the town is only a few minutes down the road, from here you can get a bus to almost anywhere in Turkey, for very little money.

We went to Fethiye for 3 days to see our friends that live there, it took 3 hours by a small air conditioned coach and cost 9 ml each ( approx £3-60p )excellent value.

There are lots of good eating places just a few yards up the road from the antique palace so your spoilt for choice.

If your self catering there are plenty of shops to buy from, and ladies while your there try pampering yourself with a pedicure at Vatan it was bliss felt on top of the world after this and it cost about £8 worth ever penny.

We would certainly go back.

The location was just right. If we wanted to go to the busy part of the town then a dolmus at hand stopping right outside the hotel and only cost 1 million TL.

The staff in the hotel were exceptional! Especially in the restaurant. Couldn’t be more helpful. A big thank you to Andy who looked after my daughter when she hurt her wrist. Also Cemo, Mustafa and all the staff.

The entertainment in the hotel was brilliant. Never laughed so much, great atmosphere especially the kids party night and the Turkish night which was first class.

Once again a big thank you to all for making it the best holiday ever and we will definitely be back next year.

We arrived very early on a Tuesday morning and greeted by a happy pleasant reception staff. Paid for the air conditioning and safety deposit box and crawled in to bed.

Once we got a good look at the place I couldn't believe we got it so cheap, the room was self catering with all the equipment we needed and lovely and clean.

The staff in the hotel are lovely apart from Elvis being miserable all of the time.

We ate in the hotel a few time evening meals were always lovely but stay away from cooked breakfast and lunch time menu not very nice.

Pool water is dirty my little boy has come back with raging ear infections in both ears and a couple of other kids were ill whilst we were there.

The location of the hotel is poor not much goes on around that part of Marmaris. Look in to Sam's The Red Rose and Sharas as food and staff here are lovely if you walk right up the road there is an English owned place called Incognito and she uses all bottled water for cooking the food there is gorgeous but a bit pricey compared to everywhere else.

You can go down into Marmaris centre on the dolmus for 1 million TL which is around 40p.

We arrived at Club Antique Palace 13th August. As soon as we got there we knew that we where going to enjoy our holiday very much. The reception was very welcoming and a beautiful entrance.

We had to be downstairs for breakfast before half past ten but the food was worth getting up for and there was a lovely variety to choose from. Whether it was toast, cereal or a full english breakfast that you wanted!

The hotel was very clean and there was no problems with the cleanliness of it at all. The maids where very polite and came every few days. They made your bed covers into pretty little heart and flowers which was a lovely little suprise when we got back in!

The hotel food was absolutely lovely and every meal was delicious. No problems with stomach bugs or anyhting at all!

The location of the hotel is just about perfect as it was not too near to the hustle and bustle but it was by a market row with plenty of variety of stalls.

The staff where excellent! Really good fun and some of the nicest friendliest people you will meet. especially one guy called robbie, he is one of the best staff you will ever meet.

The entertainment is great, but some nights it is not as lively and it gets quite dull e.g there is a karoke and its not exactly fun if you dont like singing!

We would definetly visit this hotel again we where going to this year but it would not be as exciting goin to the same place again! As we like new adventures! I definetly recommend you visit here.

Thanks for a great holiday Antique Palace if you read this! from nick and lora

Went to antique palace last september had a great time met some great friends.kids loved the flumes and kids club the entertainment at night was ok.

The food was good apart from the eggs every morning. The bar staff were very friendly and helpfull. The cleaners were brilliant the rooms were spotless.

Theres plenty of shops and places to eat close to hotel but if you want to go to the marina or to the main shops in mamaris its about twenty minutes walk but the dolmus [bus] will pick you up outside the hotel and take you into mamaris.

We really enjoyed our holiday cant wait to go back in September.

We stayed at the Antique Palace from the 30th Aug till the 13th Sept 2004 we loved this hotel and will definitely be going back next year.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful we loved Andy and Robbie, especially our 13 year old daughter who they treated like their sister, our 11 year old son made friends straight away with Frankie the jeweler who he has phoned since we came home.

The apartments were very clean and the bedding and towels were changed daily. The cleaner was a diamond.

We did eat in the hotel a few times and didn’t have any problems with the food, my son says they do a belter pancake.

We made some lovely friends there with the staff and despite what people have said about Elvis we found him to be a good laugh, he even came to our coach with Andy, Robbie and Frankie to say goodbye to us. Must admit the staff made this hotel.

I myself have never been anywhere abroad on holiday where the people and staff have been so friendly and believe me I have been on some holidays. By the way I forgot to mention the hotel photographer who was also nice and friendly. Andy, Robbie and Frankie must be there next year we love them all xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hotel was execeptionally clean although the cleaning of the pool area's was not done in my opinion in a profesional manner. I would have expected to see the area cleaned using a hose pipe not the pool water.

The food was ok but nothing to write home about.

I was not impressed with the prices of food and drink and I was not happy with being charged double for the first drink at happy hour it was suppossed to be buy one get one free.

The hotel staff were polite and over worked Robbie was the only waiter that I felt the need to give tip when I left he was always courteous and professional and nothing was a chore to him, Andy was ok. Elvis as far as I am concerned, should not be working in a holiday resort he is to bad tempered probably due to lack of sleep and overwork.

Entertainent ok not impressed with flame thrower aerosol can.

I will not visit this hotel again I do not like being ripped off

We stayed at "Club Antique Palace"in Marmaris for us we feel we could not believe how lucky we were to have chosen such a fantastic place to stay! The self catering appartment was extremely clean, basic (as always in Turkey) but sufficient for our needs for our two weeks stay.

We used the hotel restaurant many times, the food was lovely not astronomically high in price as is often the case in hotels in comparison to local bars etc. There is usually on offer an Evenings Special set menu 4-5 courses and a free drink for 16 million TL, ( Very Good Value ) as well as a full choice menu which accomodates a wide variety of tastes.

The reception staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We paid £50 for a two weeks air conditioning and £20 for a safety deposit box wich is usual for Turkey and "not" a rip off! Essential in high temperatures for your own comfort and well worth it!

The waiters and bar staff were exceptionally brilliant!! They not only worked very long hot days and nights but then went on to entertain us dancing and doing party type dances with the children and guests! Robbie and Andy did a fantastic dance with the sparcklers and fire!! All the staff were great, always polite, even Elvis, he just has a dry sense of humour, although he did take on a different personality (for the better ) after he was shown the printed report from this site I had taken with me!

The "Kids Club" was very much enjoyed by our daughter ( aged 6 ) and appreciated by ourselves. This is a kids club entirely free which is run by a British company hired by the hotel which provides entertainment for the children several hours a day. One night a week they have a party night with face painting and games and dancing.

There is free entertainment provided by visiting performers which is good and enjoyable, the lads doing the break dancing were great and deserve a tip at the end of the show!

The pools and slides were fantasti
