| said: The food here for the £253 we paid was ok for a week, lots of salad but ok. Free local drinks but they will only let you take 2 per person so not handy when theres a group of you.
The hotel is 10 minute walk to Yumbo and 2 euro in a taxi, or if you don't like the yumbo its opposite the irish centre, 5 mins walk to the Kasbah.
The hotel is a 5 min walk to the beach, however it had 3 pools and a kids pool, loads of sunbeds. The entertainment was a woman aged 99 playing an organ so I will leave that one for you to rate.
The staff were rude and obnoxious, except on the last day they were all smiles, maybe they thought we would leave a hefty tip for them? well we didn't as they were not worth tipping.
This hotel is not suitable for familys.
Rooms were ok, 2 single beds a living room and a tv that was 3 euro for 24 hours...gggggggreat if you are into sky news as thats the only thing on in english.
There are no fans or air con in this hotel so I would imagine in peak season it would be very hot in the rooms.

| said: the hotel was very basic. we went half board and the breakfast was cold, and the food in the evening was the same every night, no variaty. we had no kettle in our apartment and you have to pay to watch t.v in your room!!
when we arrived we found that our room had two single beds. we asked the receptionist if we could be moved to a room with a double bed, but they said all the rooms in the hotel have single beds!
there was no entertainment at all but we didnt mind as we were out in the clubs most nights. the irish bar across from the hotel wasnt really that noisy, but we were at the back on the hotel not the front.
there was 4 swimming pools, no music on, which i like while im sunbathing!!! i only saw one bar by one on the pools.
the cleaners come to your room every other day, but we locked the door most days as you dont want them just walking in anytime of the day, especially when your having a lye-in, which they tryed to do a few times!
location though was near all the bars and clubs, plenty of shops and beach just down the road.
i wouldn't come to this hotel again.

| said: We stayed in this hotel on an all inclusive basis however we ate out every night due to the poor standard of food which catered mainly for the spanish guests. The hotel is generally clean and we had our towels changed every other day. The location is in the centre of all the clubs and bars with the very noisy Irish centre opposite. We ended up changing rooms to the back of the hotel due to this noise - definitely take ear plugs. The staff were friendly and the receptionist arranged many trips for us including horse riding, water parks and boat trips. There was no entertainment in the hotel and a very small bar which shut early around 10pm. I wouldnt visit this hotel again.

| said: stayed for one week only but that was a week too long!!!! went on all inclusive package but ended up mainly going out for food!!! breakfast was ok but lunch and dinner was basically bland!!! all snacks between main meals would have to be paid for!! absolutly no entertainment at all!! so after dinner you would have to go out unless you had a drink around the non existent bar!!! the hotel was clean and my room was cleaned every other day with a change of towells!!! a couple of staff were friendly but 80% didnt know how too break into a smile!! the location is ideal for young out going people who enjoy late nights which is fine but i advise that you went on an self catering basis!!! irish centre is loud until at least 6am in the morning and is right opposite hotel so this holiday would be absolutly a disaster for any family break with young children!!! had 350am flight but was told to get out of room by 12pm the day before!! offered too pay supplement to keep room longer but was told in no uncertain terms this was impossible due to hotel being full which i found amazing as i cant believe it being that popular!! was given courtasy room too share with about 20 other irate holiday makers!!! i would say do not touch this hotel with a barge pole, there are plenty of other hotels that are more suitable!! enjoyed gran canaria on the whole (superb beaches) and met some great company which probably kept me sane!! but i think i will stick to lanzarote from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| said: Stayed here in July, peak season. We were moved to the hotel by Direct Holidays after we complained about Vista Dorada.
The hotel is very central and big. It has four different swimming rooms and there was none of that fighting for a sun lounger nonsense.
The facilities included a supermarket on site, hairdressers, Internet, pool bar and restaurant.
Had a good stay with the exception of the loud noisy Irish Centre opposite are apartment. Sleeping in the bedrooms that faced onto the centre was impossible and we made do in the lounge.
The noise doesn't stop till after 4.30am and gets louder after midnight. This hotel is perfect, if that's what you want, but being woke up when you've finally got to sleep by countless drunks who can't remember which room is theirs, wasn't great fun.
The rooms are large and clean. The entertainment was non existent and catered solely for the Spanish.

| said: I stayed in this hotel May 2006, I really enjoyed the
holiday.
I found it to be very clean, rooms were cleaned every
other day, towels were changed 3 times in a week!
The location was excellent! it was right next to all the bars and shops, the beach was just down the road,
along with the bus stop that takes you direct to the water park.
The staff were pleasent and helpful.
I would visit again!

| said: The apartments were clean and well spacious. The location was handy to everywhere. Based in the Irish Centre but also close to the Kasbah and Yumbo. Large Reception area and friendly staff. The pools were clean and plenty of room to sunbath. A small shop was based in the apartment block which was handy. All in all, clean, relaxed and handy.

| said: Stayed at the Jardin del Atlantico in December 2005 we had al ovely stay. You get what you pay for by the way if you ask at reception or your rep the hotel will supply you with kettle and toaster. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
The staff were really pleasant and helpful from the maids to the manager.
We found the rooms to be cleaned more than you usually expect the maid on the third floor was a dynamo she never stopped and always so nice to the children.
We were at the back so the Irish centre didn't bother us, but hey your on holiday.
We had such a good time last Christmas that were all going again this December but have booked including the New Year this time will let you know in January how this holiday went.
Playa del Ingles is an ideal base to see all Gran Canaria. Highly recommend day trip to Morgan wonderful place the harbour is so pretty give it a go...

| said: The main problem with this hotel is the Irish Centre opposite. We arrived late at night and the music was horrendous, yet other bars were made to close their windows and doors at midnight.
We moved to the back which was quieter, but still needed ear plugs. The rooms were large & adequate but we had a slight cockroach problem. I don't think the maids clean behind the sofa bed.
The staff never smiled and we felt like they were doing us a favour in the dining room.
Playa del Ingles is good for partying but beware of pick pockets and touts.
Would not recommend this hotel.

| said: We have just spent a week at Jardin del Atlantico.
The hotel was very clean with all the staff working very hard. The self catering facilities were extremley basic you dont even get a kettle.
Take care not to dirty the sheets. My daughter had a henna tattoo on her back and some of the ink got on the sheets and I was charged 14 euro to replace them. Our room was at the front of the hotel so got no sleep with the noise from the Irish centre.

| said: I would say that these apartments were very clean. Bed linen changed twice a week,, towels three times a week. Very compact bathroom, small bath. The kitchen had adequate utensils, no kettle, had a teapot, no oven or microwave. There was not even a toaster but I asked at reception and they gave me one free of charge. Had to buy dish cloth and washing up liquid, no air conditioning but could hire fans at 25 euros for two weeks.
Four pools, one of which was a children's pool and a very good play area. Tennis courts cost 8 euros 41 cent for an hour. No daytime activities.
There are about 20 apartments that are owned by Spanish people. Made life difficult for English and Irish children. There were different rules for the Spanish children, they were allowed to play ball on the grass whereas the English and Irish children were chased by the security guard.
Buy food in the supermarket across the road not in the complex (too expensive).

| said: We spent fourteen nights here the first two nights we where in a room at the front of the hotel and the noise at night was horrendous couldn’t get to sleep until 4-30 am when the Irish centre closed. Luckly the management were very understanding and moved us to the rear of the hotel.
So beware if you have booked this hotel make sure your at the back.
Pool areas are good but there was no entertainment day or night when we were there. No bar at night either only poolside bar open 11-00am to 18-00pm prices at the bar very reasonable.
Hotel staff very good apartment basic but very clean. Handy to bars and cafés, taxis and local buses.

| said: We stayed at this hotel in May 2004 , were allocated on arrival and this could not have been better, opposite the irish quarter. Our room was at the back so we heard very little noise. The pool areas were great but not really a place for children as much more suited to the older couple. Would certainly go back - although not with the children.

| said: We stayed at this hotel in January. we travelled on our own and not with the children. the rooms were very new and modern and cleaned almost daily. lots of clean towels. Cant comment on the food as we were self catering. One bit of advice is bring your own kettle as it is not included with your room. The pool areas are very nice and very clean. The drinks in the bar around the pool were very reasonable. Great location as the spar supermarket is two mins away were everything is cheaper. We drank our own by the pool. One word of warning is the rooms at the front of the hotel are very noisy at night as the irish centre is right opposite. Didnt bother us but a problem if you have kids. We were out every night but i dont recall any entertainment in the hotel. Daytimes there were occasional games around the pool. I wouldnt personally recommend this hotel for kids but for couples it is great.
