| said: We Stayed at Julian Forest in August 2009 and I have got to say that this Hotel is excellent, it is imacuatley clean and all the hotel staff were fantastic they couldnt do enough to help you, the entertainment was excellent. There is also a great kids club which is free to use and the children are well looked after. The only down side to the hotel was that it was a litlle way out but this didnt bother us at all as there is a bus that picks you up every five minutes to take you into the town. Overall this hotel is 11/10 a must visit.

Nothin g is to much problem for them. The entertainment guys were brilliant and worked really hard. Flexi dine at the hotel is well worth the money, the food is excellent. The whole complex is immaculate all the time. We are already booked up for next year for our fourth visit, this time for three weeks.

| said: Well what can I say!!!! We have just returned from our 4th visit to the Julian Forest with around 30+friends which range from the age of 8month baby to my parents who are 60yrs old, Julian Forest has experiences that accommodate all ages!!! Julian Forest is situated within the old village a short dolmus ride from town centre. Dolmus will cost you 1lira which is 40p they run from 7am-1am roughly every 15mins, a much better service than back home!!!! Getting back to the Julian Forest, offer a wide range of experiences, flexi dine is up grading to half board for as long or short as suits you, this could range from 4day to the whole duration of your stay. 4days will cost you 132lira which is £52 per adult for 4days, breakfast or lunch & al a carte evening meal, children are half price working out at £13 per adult per day & £6.50 per child, and under 2’s go free. The great thing about flexi dine is that you don’t need to use your breakfast or lunch the same day as your evening meal; you are on holiday so you do what suit each individual also happy hour twice daily, buy one drink get one free!! Back to staff from manage, bar staff, restaurant staff, cleaners, pool man, receptionists, photo man entertainers, kids club, Turkish bath staff, hairdresser and the rest they all give 110%; manager makes sure that he knows all his guests and that they are happy, if they aren’t he will do everything in his power to make them happy, bar staff; do everything to accommodate every guest as do the waiters, cleaners are supper and are in your room every day making it very homely, apartments are modern and very clean with up to date amenities, newly adapted Turkish bath will cost you a meer £25 for 90-120mins of sheer pleasure, if you fancy a trim or a shave this will only cost you a few £’s, entertainer try hard to encourage all the guest to participate but do not force guest as they realise that they are on holiday to relax, Steph in the kids club is fantastic with the kids. If I were to grade out of 10, I would give 11 if possible, the owner should be very proud of his management and staff team as they are a credit to him as they all give 110% dedication and that is why guest keep returning. We have already booked for next years and we are staying for 3weeks to meet up with friends that also return each year, during our stay my brother has booked his wedding at Julian Forest this is another facility that is on offer, the list never ends!!!! We have returned feeling sad that the experience has ended but its only 350 days until we return, can’t wait!!!! Go on book a holiday at Julian Forest and enjoy this experience for yourself, why not visit web site, www.julianforest.com and see what the hotel offers, look at pictures and read the guest book!! See you all next summer!! Thanks again for another fantastic holiday Ahmet and staff!! Wendy, Gary Ryan & Nicole Knight, Dundee Scotland

Its quieter as its out of town, but for us this was a bonus. The Dolmus is at the hotel and always waiting, they even took us to our corrert stop when we got a bit lost. The music around the pool started at lunchtime and finished at 12, we didnt have an issue with this at all. The only down side is one loo roll per week...didnt go far with a family of 4! We will be back next year definately. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for a lovely time

| said: My boyfriend and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at Julian Forest Apartments and had a lovely time.
Yes, it is a little way out of the resort centre but not once did we find this a problem. The Dolmus (bus) was 9 times out of 10 waiting outside our hotel and only cost 1lira each to Icmeler centre. If we were to go back we would definatley stay here again and not get anywhere closer.
We were very very impressed with our room, spacious, clean, modern, 2 balconies, quiet and free air con! Although you only get 1 loo roll for the week!!
We found all the staff very friendly and majority of them spoke very good english so easy to communicate. Although they do ask you several times about their Flexi-Dine and Turkish Baths, we didn't find them overly annoying. I instantly declined the Flexi-Dine as I thought we'd be out and about more but I wish we had taken advantage of the 3 day offer as we ended up eating here a few times and the food was brilliant, well worth taking a few mins to listen to. But, even when we said no, the waiters still made the effort to be friendly to us.
There is no cash taken at the Restaurant, bar or shop and they operate on a wristband system which you top us as and when you like at reception with a 10lira deposit. We found this quite useful as we didn't have to worry about leaving our money round the pool. The waiters give you a receipt each time you buy something so you can see how much they've taken and they even took our money and topped it up for us when we ran out!
We had a Turkish Bath at the hotel on our 1st day which cost £14 each and was lovely. We were both treated in the same room so felt very comfortable and safe. Not at all seedy as I've heard some people saying about Baths in the Town. Very nice way to start your Holiday.
BBQ Night on Wednesday was well worth the money, lovely food and entertainment. Also very impressed with the on site photographer who will take as many photos as you like with no obligation to buy.
The 2 entertainment guys were fun and kept us amused as they're a little bit crazy! They remembered everyone's names and made a point of making everyone feel welcome even if they didn't want to get involved in the activities. We weren't too keen at first but found it a relaxed way to chat to other guests.
Probably the time of year but there were always sunbeds avaiable all day and music didn't start till about 12noon so we had a few lay ins! Music and bar stopped at 12pm so didn't keep us awake either. One bad this about this hotel was that the sun went down behind the mountain at about 4.30pm but it was still hot eough to sit around the pool for a while longer. You will have to go to the beach if you want to sunbathe till 7-8pm!
If you go into town to eat, we highly recommend The Love Boat, which is just off the main strip down to the beach. Slightly more expensive than the other restaurants but well, well worth it.
Would definatley recommend for couples of all ages and families.

The hotel and particularly the rooms were cleaned daily and sheet and towels changed every 2 days. The food in the hotel was excellent, good sized portions and excellent choice. Flexi dine was an brilliant idea as you could have the choice of 4 courses. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful escpecially Buster. The entertainment was ok in the day but i do prefer to be left alone in the day. The nighttime entertainment was must better, with Kareoke, quizzes and different singers.

| said: Staying in Julian Forest was myself and two female friends. Our stay started off well, we were a bit put out by the location, it is definatley a lot further away than made out, put it this way, you could not walk to the centre of icmeler and I wouldnt dare walk there in the dark.
The hotel staff were not particularly friendly, we had a laugh with Spa man and a couple of the bar staff but one evening we found the reception staff and security to be very intimidating and aggressive towards us. They did not go out of their way to help us and made us (3 single females) feel on edge for the last two days we were there. So much so that on our last day we stayed in our room except to go and pay for late check in.
We were hounded on the first day we arrived to go for a spa (I HATE massages!) and to take up the flexi dine, however their menu does not sport a huge choice. We ate in the hotel next door a few times as they had a better menu. Drinks are also extrotionately priced.
Dolmus bus stops 100yards down from the hotel and is a bit crazy but only cost 1lira to get into icmeler or 2lira to marmaris. Taxi's are expensive - 15lira to get back from the centre of icmeler.

| said: Well if you like being in the middle of nowhere and feeling trapped wiyh nowhere to go then julian forest is a must because it is as far away from anywhere as you can get. It took us an hour to walk to the nearest shop and back. Within half an hour of us arriving one of the waiters who calls himself Bruce Lee hounded and hounded us into buying their flexi dine card which enables you to eat at their restaurant for a slightly cheaper price. You dont have much choice seeing you in no mans land. When we didnt buy it from him and got it from someone else he was rude and never spoke to us again. The prices at the hotel are 300% dearer than england. The reception staff are so un helpfull and sarcastic. The entertainment??? What a load of old S**T, boring boring. Sinan the photographer is lovely and interesting to talk to,so is the hairdresser and the man who books the turkish baths. Ashley the rep is wonderful and cant do enough to help. But if you are considering going to this hotel dont dont dont, because you will feel trapped and will need at least £2500 for two weeks.

| said: Just came back from this great hotel, it was our first visit to Turkey and we are glad we went.
The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough for you, Ahmet the manager is always on hand to have a chat about anything you like to talk about and is interested in you and your family.
The bar staff are great as well, the waiters are great as well, a big shout goes out to Adnan, Ishmail & Yukan.
The entertainment team was a bit of a let down ad 4 of them left at the start of our second week, but DJ Martin is fantastic, he always has a smile on his face and will do anything he can to make your holiday special, Water aerobics, killer pool, darts & mega splash are the activities that go on everyday.
Turkish night is on a Wednesday and will cost you 30 lira, that is if you don't take up the option of upgrading to flexi dine. The hotel is at the very end of Icmeler and you cannot go any further, there is a bus service (Dolmus) which stops just 100 yards from the hotel every 10-15 minutes to take you into town or Marmaris, town will cost you 1 lira, Marmaris will cost you 2 lira.
There are more than enough sun beds for everybody so you don't have to worry about running down with your towels every morninig, the only complaint i have is the price of spirits at the bar, Vodka & Lemonade is 9 lira, so it might be worth you buying a bottle at duty free then putting it into a small water bottle.
The food from the kitchen is of a good standard, but sometimes you will wait ages for it as it is prepaired fresh for you.If you go into town to eat the best place we found was Venice, they will collect you from the hotel and take you back free of charge, Mustafa & Apo are great there and will always be happy to assist you to help you make your choice, we also tried Valentinos (Good), Romance (Ok), Majestic (Ok) CD (Very poor).
Most bars will change money for you and give you a better rate than the hotel, whilst we were out there it went down from 2.40 to 2.21.
All in all it was a fantastic holiday but a little more expensive than what we were lead to believe, one last thing is make sure you weigh your cases before you get to Dalaman airport when coming home, the couple in front of us had to pay £152 in excess, it will cost you £8 per kilo you are over.

| said: The accommodation is fantastic. Simply put full turkish baths, huge pool with entertainment during the day and night, jewellers, free unlimited aircon in the bedrooms, a restaurant with a bar and rooms cleaned daily (towels and sheets changed every 2 days). Better than this was the warm hearted friendliness of the staff.
As the resort centre was so easy to get to we spent most of the evenings in the resort centre but the hotel entertainment was good, especially at the pool during the day. The BBQ night is a must. The flexi-dine was good value as you get a dinner and breakfast or lunch for a set price but I'd only do it for part of the stay as the foods good but there could have been a bigger varity.
Julian Forest has all the convenience of being within 5/10 minutes of the resort centre yet being surrounded by the beauty of Turkey at it's best.

| said: Julian Forest is a lovely complex for a couples holiday. It was just what we wanted - away from the hussle and bussle, but only 10 minutes on the bus (which runs very frequently!). The rooms are the best I've stayed in abroad for self catering, with free air con. The pool is lovely, and the surrounding area is kept immaculate.
Like Clare below, we had the turkish bath at the complex. It was very good and we were made to feel relaxed.
Went for the flexi-dine for 3 nights, which is worth it as you can include the BBQ as an option. Didn't rate some of the dishes we had, but on the whole the food was good.
The entertainment around the pool during the day can become a little annoying, but was fun most of the time.
The staff are very friendly and helpful - have no complaints there.

| said: i went to turkey for the first time and travelled alone.....1 2 3 awwwwww. i was really looking forward to it. the tour operator said it was a nice hotel and close to all the amenities. when i arrived i was surprised to find the hotel so far away from the resort centre. if it wasnt for the mountain behind i'm sure it would have been further back. good job i didnt have difficulty walking.
on the whole, the hotel itself was very clean and tidy and the staff seemed pleasant enough.
i spent most of my time in the resort, which was a bit of a pain, having to go back and forth all the time because of the location. if you had a late night out and decided to walk home it would take you about 3/4 hour at a steady pace, providig you didnt get lost. failing that it would mean a taxi, which were cheap enough, providing you agree the fare beforehand otherwise you could get ripped off.
if you are some one who stays in and around your hotel most of your holiday then this one is fine, lovely backdrop of the mountain, plenty of wildlife and such and the hotel itself was fine. On the other hand if you are like me and like too get out and about all the time then i dont reccommend this hotel, purely cos of its location. hope this info is of some help.

| said: This is a tourist village, the local village is slightly too far away to be reached easily, therefore you are at their mercy.
The locals and staff view you as cash cows to be milked, prices are inflated by 300% making it much more expensive than back home. They feel "The Great Satan" in the west owes them a good living. (Yes this phrase was used!)
You, the tourist, are bombarded with anti-west/christian propaganda, sexual harassment if you happen to be a young or attractive female and a total absence of customer services.
A girl in my party felt unable to return to the pool for the majority of her stay after having the waiters throw water on her and attempt to pull her towel from her whilst she was sunbathing with her bikini top open at the back.
All in all a horrible trip and I am using my democratic right to complain here as none of my complaints were treated with respect while over there.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Bargain on paper, nightmare in reality

The julian forest is up in the hills but we found this much better as it was quieter and there was a dolmus just outside than run every 15mins into icemeler or marmaris. If you fancy a ride into marmaris during the day then go down into icemeler to the beach and get a taxi boat it is great and so much better than being cramped up on the bus. The staff are absoutely fantastic nothing is to much trouble for them and they will do everything to make your stay perfect.also the entertainment staff are just the same nothing is to much trouble and they get everyone joining in we love these apartments and r going back next year because we know we get value for money. Not a problem as there is the local dolmus outside the complex which runs every 15 mins to take you into the town and only costs 1ytl which is 40p. I would recommend this rather than getting a taxis as the taxis drivers are a bit mad on the roads. I would say the dolmus is a lot safer. There was only one fault we found with staying here is that they only supply you with one toilet roll then you have to buy your own. That has not put us off as we have booked again 3 weeks next year.

Took 3 days to sort out ant problem we had
Had to get rep involved before problem solved
Also shower head holder broken asked for it to get fixed
Not fixed when I left 6/10
Changing money at reception was just the same rate as going
In to icmeler take English pounds and they will give you better
Rate 2.6 ytl to the pound
Bar
Drink were ok watch got charge as much for lime in a beer as I did for the beer Meals were very good every thing comes with chips 9/10
Great water slides plus adult pool very clean. 10/10
I was in room 4201 top floor kids in room 4203
The two draw backs were the heat from the roof kept the rooms very hot all the time and the air con is only in the bedroom also
We got a lot of noise at night as the lift is next door
[Best to get a room on lower floors]away from lifts
It’s about 25 mins walk in to Icmeler town but you get a dolmus every 10mins cost you 1ytl about 30 pence English or you can go in to Marmaris as well, cost you about 2ytl about 60pence English. But a taxi to icmeler will cost 5ytl during the day if you
Haggle or they will charge you 10ytl but they will not haggle at night

Although the board is self catering the Julian Forest operates a flexi-dine alternative. I purchased a 4 day flexi-dine for £39 which can be taken either as 4 breakfast or lunch and dinner in the evening. I found that after purchase that I had made a mistake as the menu included very little Turkish food and everything came with either chips or roast potatoes.
The staff were excellent - very friendly and entertaining.
The entertainment was a mixture of traditional Turkish and British pop music.

The flexi dine was great value for money and the food was brill (t-bone steaks to pasta) every night and they also have really good kids meals.
We really would recommend you to go there if you have not been we will definately go next year again.

| said: This has got to be the most beautiful hotel i have ever stayed at.
The journey from the airport was a bit of a nightmare but once you arrived into the hotel foyer you could do nothing but admire the cleanliness of it.
After reading reviews before we went i was wary of all the wasps around our baby and also for our room not to be too close to the bar.
To our horror our room was on the ground floor right next to the bar but decided to leave for the night as we were all tired from the travelling.
Contrary to reports that we had read about the noise coming from the bar area on a night, it is not bad at all we are light sleepers and it didnt wake us or the baby.
The wasps and there are a few are a nuisance at times but they are not as bad as was reported and should definitly not put you off coming to this beautiful hotel.
The staff were really friendly and they try to help you as much as they possibly can and are always on hand whatever time.
The food was absolutely fantastic could not have any complaints and we bought the flexi-dine which in the long run is well worth it for the food quality you get.
The entertainments team were good always joking around trying to make you enjoy your stay, with there killer pool, bingo and water polo during the days there is always something to do no matter your age. Well done to DJ, Compo and Jimmy for doing a great job and keeping everyone happy.
Overall this was a fantastic holiday and everything about it was great and we have already looked at going back the same time next year.

The wee one had a ball as she went on the flumes in and out the pool it was great.
The supermarket was not very well stocked and I would advise using the supermarket in Icmeler for anything you need, but that is the only thing I would say.
The staff were all very friendly and especially Haluk behind the bar and Hasan in the resturant. The kitchen was spotless and you could sit and watch them making your dinner it was brilliant.
We are going back next year and have even talked my in laws into going with us.

The apartment itself was very spacious, clean and new.
The meals are first class plenty to eat and of good quality.
The pool was large and you could have a sleep on the sunbeds as music is not played loud here all day.
However we did find it a bit of a nightmare fighting for sunbeds as at one piont people were having to put their towels out at 6.30am (silly o'clock).
Staff are only to pleased to help overall we had a fab time met some wonderful people and have booked for next year.

The hotel is clean, has all the facilities you would look for (even a hairdresser!) Staff are helpful and friendly as were the airtours reps.
Although being slightly further from the beach than most other hotels, it's only a 5 minute dolmus ride to Icmeler beach and 10 minutes to Marmaris which only costs 30/50p. A taxi back at night only costs £6.
I would happily recommend this hotel to people looking for a nice relaxing hotel which is quiet at night allowing the well needed sleep.

The food was terrific and the menu was great, a lot to choose from.
The kids really enjoyed it, they got involved with the sports during the day and they met friends there. Our favourite waiter was Apo, he is fantastic and really made our holiday one we will never forget. If you're reading this Apo we hope you still have the football shirt that we gave you. Also Adnan the waiter was great fun too. Also our friends Alan, Annemarie, Kayne, Ellis and Rhys from Liverpool. Hope to see you soon.

The wasps were not as much problem as I anticapated apart from BBQ night on a wednesday where they had a field day !
The staff at the hotel are the friendliest I have ever met apart from one who totally ignored us and other familys who refused to buy his flexi time ( who ever has been there recently knows who i am talking about!!!...) but that was his loss.
The rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday, it is a bit out of town but the bus into Icemeler are only 15 minutes apart and there are also taxis who do go cheaper when you haggle with them, the pool and bar areas are immaculate has there are cleaners constantly walking around having fun with everyone, the entertainmant was was ok, but the Funtasia team of Leanne, Dwayne and Alyson soon had most of the families up socializing with theyre activities they were an highlight for us.
Sorry to leave in the end but would go back another time.

There are regular buses or taxis, which do not cost much to take you into Icmeler, but as a family we like to stroll into the town, which was almost impossible with the heat and 2 young kids.
The staff were very friendly there is nothing they would not do for us, all you have to do is ask and they do there best to please.
We used the kids club everyday, thanks Gaz and Vicky you made Tommy(spiderman) and Charleys holiday very special.
The day time entertainment was ok, we did not go to the bar in the evenings. The only thing letting the hotel down is the location.
Apart from that no problems at all. We all had a fantastic stay.

The apartments were spotlessly clean and the food was good, the pool areas were fantastic and the staff were very friendly.
The one downfall was the location,as getting into Icmeler and Marmaris required transport, dolmus and taxis were available every few minutes but with a family of 5 could work out quite expensive over a 2 week period.
Barbeque night on the Wednesday is well worth going to. Wasps in Julian Forest are not as bad as some of the comments left on here by previous visitors.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would definately recommend Julian Forest to families with young children.

When we went down to the pool to eat or drink we where plagued with wasps. Which meant you where never able to relax as we where frightened of getting stung. The hotel staff where very helpful at trying to relieve this problem, they use small burning pots of coffee and are on constant squat patrol with the menus. The root of the wasp problem seems to be the location of the hotel itself.

| said: My first impression was that the pool was HUGE and the rooms were also big and very clean. The next morning was when I could see clearly what the hotel was like as we arrived at 5:30 am.
There was a little shop with essentials like sun cream, bread, water, ice creams, milk, butter and many more. The boy in the shop Mehmet was very friendly and sweet.
The bar and restaraunt area was very big, on one side of the bar was the tables where people could sit and drink or watch the football with 2 pool tables and on the other side of the bar was the 'restaraunt' which was very nice.
The food was delish, we stayed for the bbq and had our last meal there and I miss the food :(
The staff where amazing I've never met friendlier people in my life!!
Haluk(bar man), the camera man, the Chef, the receptionist, Security Gaurd (Fattie) and the hairdresser where amazing and extremely friendly in particular The Captian (Chaglar) and Mehmet made my holiday special. They all deserve to be mentioned and to be praised for all the good work they do!!!!!
The hotel was about a 30 minute walk away from the centre of Icmeler as long as you follow the canal you cant get lost. We walked every night and if you dont want to walk there are taxi's and Dolmusis every 5 minutes for only 5 lira which is quite cheap.
The wasps where annoying and my little sister (12) got stung 5 times although she did flap alot. If you just try to egnore them and DONT flap about they will go away. Also if it gets really bad you can just tell the staff and they will give you a special insence that goes on your table and the wasps go away!!
The entertainment was great and all the kids loved it all thanks to our rep Nick who was also great, very funny and he renamed me TROUBLE :)
You really do have to give them a chance and judge for yourself.
All I have left to say is thanks for everything guys and ill definately be back every year from now on!!!!

| said: First impressions on arrival. A nice hotel set in its own grounds which included security and cctv, from a safety point of view an excellent start.
Once in the foyer my youngest child (aged 6) was in desperate need of the toilet. I stood in a packed foyer area minding the cases and my eldest (aged 8) while my wife attempted to ask the staff where the toilets were. She was grunted at and pointed in the direction of outside near the pool. Looking outside we couldnt easily find the toilets, we asked what we thought was a rep (wearing reps uniform) he said "its near the bar" excellent. After 10 minutes my wife was able to get my youngest to the toilet. (not so good first impression).
Once booked in which took nearly half an hour, we were shown to our apartment. It simply had the WOW factor. Walking through the door, to the right was a spacious kitchenette with pine units, Microwave oven, fridge and freezer, a two ring cooker, toaster simply everything you need really, in the middle was a pine table that extended out from a pine unit and cupboards, beyond this was a single bed which looked out onto one of two balconies. To the left was one of two bathrooms which comprised of a sunken bath (very rare for Turkey), a over bath shower, sink and of course toilet with build in bidet.
Next to the bathroom came the first of two bedrooms, two single beds seprated by a bedside unit with wall lamps, plenty of storage space and window that overlooked the pool. On the right was the second bedroom, this consisted of a double bed, two bedside units and window that overlooked balcony number two, and an on-suite, same utilities as bathroom one.
The view from the balcony was breath taking, although very narrow it overlooked the pool, bar, with a gorgeous back drop of icmeler's famous mountains, simply beautiful. Our second balcony more or less had the same view, this we found more spacious with table and two chairs.
As far as good points for the hotel this was it. The hotel enjoys a mini market, barbers, jewellers, extensive bar serving excellent range of drinks although we found the wrist band abit annoying and difficult to track what we had credit and what we spent, so we didnt spend much time there.
This was our 5th time back to Icmeler in succession, we love the place its as simple as that. The hotel however did not live up to the impressions we first enjoyed when walking into the apartment.
We had done our homework prior to coming to Julian Forest, so we knew about the wasps, although it must be said i thought people were been a little harsh, that was until I witnessed them for myself, a real problem if you want to eat there. The poolside is lined with sunloungers almost military style there is no room for anything else, and lots of children, which wasnt a problem at all. The problem was the teenagers, underage drinking, smoking and quite annoyingly alot of swearing, and more swearing. Parents seem to be quite happy to allow their teenagers to roam around, drinking, smoking and did I mention the excessive shouting of swear words at each other ? oh I think I did, sorry.
This was not just by the pool area, it was everywhere you went with in the hotel, I was cashing some travellers cheques when a group of teenages came bursting into the reception area swearing at each other in some kind of humourous laughter, as I had my 6 year old son with me at the time I took exception to this and told them to curb their language.
The night entertainment was loud, I mean very loud. It reminded me of Butlins, but hey you are on holiday so not a problem. That was until week two. The same records played over and over and over again became laughable, you could predict every track and in which order it came, well done for trying guys.
The staff are friendly and very helpful once you get their attention. The hotel was exceptionally clean and very well presented, but to be fair the unsung heroes of the Julian Forest was the cleaners, Well done to all of you.
We never paid for the bbq nights, although reasonably priced we felt between the mucky mouthed teenagers and the wasps, we chose to eat out in icmeler.

On arrival I thought we checked in extremeley quickly, are bags were carried to our rooms, which were very clean and tidy.
The pool was cleaned everynight, the bar served us but only with parental approval.
The booze was cheap unless you was drinking spirits, the food wasnt as bad as you would expect.
The staff were very friendly some you could have a laugh with some of them, two bar men in particular (gurkan and haluk) others could get too friendly as you probaly well know Turkish men love English women and its not really just the blondes.
The only complaints I have are the amount of wasps but they did confirm that mosquito netting is going to be put around the hotel to minimize the amount of wasps by 2006.
Also the eldest son of the family that came with us was assalted by a grumpy bar man who was attempting to strangle him, the bar man was sacked immediatley and the manager applogised as much as he could.
Apart from that it was a brilliant holiday - best ever I intend to go back many times I met some lovely people both from Great Britian and Turkey.

| said: I'll start with the good points first!!
Apartment was brilliant. Big, air-conditioned, 2 bathrooms, 2 big bedrooms, Sky TV, 2 balconies, extremely clean and tidy. Couldn't ask for more.
Facility itself was fairly new with decent sized pool, small kiddies pool and a separate flume / slide facility which was very popular with the Dads! Bar area good with pool table and a couple of other things. There is also a stage area for 'entertainment'. All in all an excellent first impression.
Staff very friendly. Always smiling and can't do enough for you (once you have got their attention...).
Turkey itself is lovely and so were the people.
Unfortunately there were some bad points.
Sunbeds crammed in. No place for kids to run about and enjoy themselves without either upsetting other people or basically being a pain.
Wrist band payment method is a licence to spend as much money as you can in the shortest amount of time.
Wasps are really a big pain especially having breakfast in the morning. If they wanted my food so much I would have bought them a full English. Many people stung. BBQ night a bit disappointing but the wasps enjoyed themselves. I'm sure I even saw one jigging to the Turkish music they were playing.
The hotel is expensive and so is the shop which should be re-named Harrods. Food very average -nuff said.
Entertainment was supplied by Nick and Lez. Two really nice guys who tried their best. If Bingo, irritating kiddies songs and Butlins is your bag then you are in for a treat. Like I said really nice guys though.
I really think they like to extract as much money as possible from you due to you being at the back of the resort.
If they sorted this out I would highly recommend Julian Forest but on this occasion I can't and will not be returning.

The food was ok but the wasps were always around you so you couldent eat it propley, but if you dont bother with them they go away.
The Hotel is set back in the mountins so you couldent walk into the center of Icmeler but there was a dolmus that stopped outside the hotel which takes you into the center for 1 lira 50 or sometimes 1 lira or there was a train or taxies.
The staff are very very nice expessialy memhet from the little shop, the jewler and receptionists are very nice and even the security guard was nice.
We only stayed for the entertainment once and went into icmeler the rest of the nights because theentertainment werent really good for ourage or the adults.
We would defintly go back to the julian forest but next year we are staying in marmaris but us three will be coming into icmeler a few days and going to visit the Julian forest.

The hotels food was nice but it was sickening when the wasps would dive into your food and try to attack you while eating but if you got to finish your food it was nice.
The location didnt bother as much as it bothered other people, if you wanted to go anywhere there would always be a dolmus that would get you there in 5 minutes.
The staff in the hotel were wonderful and were always at your service they were very friendly and you couldnt of got better.
There was a down fall and it was the entertainment I didn't like it at all but it didnt bother me as there was other stuff to do.
I would definately come back and would recommend it to every one.

The entertainment staff work hard and if they can keep my 15 yaer old son ammused for two weeks then they deserve a medal.
As for the shop it is ok but a bit expensive.
The waiters are superb and are worth a mention and our thanks.
Book trips in Icmeler as it is much cheaper
We will go back.
PS. the happy hour is great 2 joogs for the price of 1

The hotel is absolutely spotlessly clean.
The food is nice much better than last year when we went.
The entertainment is also better than last year.
The waiters are friendly kind helpful and pleasant all the time specially Kasim, Adnan (who were there last year) and Sapil, Gokhan, Kavanch and Haluk.

Spotlessly clean and well looked after, both in the apartments and in and around the pool area.
Although it was a little far out from the centre of Icmeler, regular dolbus service available just ouside the front of the apartments, or taxi service.
All staff based in the apartments were very helpful and friendly. Both managers went out of their way to make sure you had an enjoyable stay.
We only went to the Barbecue Night at the apartments, and that was great, choice of food was excellent. Mainly ate out at Stonehouse Restaurant or in Icmeler centre. Couldn't fault the food.
We will definetely be going back to Julian Forest nesxt year!

The pool and slides were great and regularly checked for cleanliness.
The hotel is a bit far from the centre of Icmeler but there was a cool breeze that helped as the temperatures were between 35 and 40 degC.
We only ate in the restaurant once as we were plagued by wasps.
We booked our own trips through a shop that claimed to have Turkish Tourist Board insurance and they were cheaper than going through the hotel rep.
Entertainment was good, especially for the kids.

Big splash comp was wicked..Dads best part of holiday..
Food was lovely and I'm very fussy about eating abroad but was well worth eating it .yum yum.
Booked to go back next June 06 with friends we made there..can't wait well worth booking....
Wasps are a pest but bar staff was great at getting them away with their menus..

My daughter loved this holiday but,we felt not much for adults.Repetitive music which didn't change for two weeks.Glad we were situated to the back of the complex cause people at the front were complaining they couldn't sleep. Also children playing football at the bar area a big problem, suprised no one has had a glass broken in their face.
Most of the waiters were very nice especially Erman and Kasim.Location of the apartments suited us because of the breeze and dolbus always available.Tried the 20 minute walk to Icmeler(so the rep said)took nearly 1 hour.
Tranfers were long, nothing like the two hours the brochure said-from leaving apartments to Glasgow all in all 10 hours and thats without flight delays.
Been to Turkey before, love the place but don't see us returning to Julian Forest.

The complex was wonderful for us as a family with 2 young children. The waterslides made a big difference to the children’s entertainment, and to their fathers! There was fierce competition to obtain a Megaslide certificate amongst a lot of the dads. Happy to say mine got one (even if it was not quite justified)! Big thanks to Nick for making Keith’s day.
Good place to make friends for adults & kids.
We have booked to go back same time next year with Debbie, Mark & kids whom we met this year.
The bar staff are good fun and the happy hours do help with the cost as a bit more expensive than in main resort.

| said: 1st time at Julian Forest and have already booked for next year along with two other families we met there.
The hotel is far back at the base of the mountains well away from all the hustle and bustle however, the town is easy to reach by dolmus or taxi. This is the most relaxing holiday I have ever had, the kids loved it especially the mega splash competition every afternoon (the men really enjoyed this too, and became quite serious discussing tactics).
Can the night manager and Hammett the day manager were terrific and could not do enough for you, and the bar staff especially our Kivanc and Haluk were superstars. Les and Nick the entertainers were great with the kids and kept them busy doing different competitions, and yes the night-time entertainment was a little repetitive but the children loved it.
Yes the transfers are horrendous so a taxi is recommended and yes there are many wasps, however neither of these ruined our holiday in the slightest. One word of advice is that it is better to eat when it has gone dark, as by then all the wasps have gone to bed!

| said: Just returned from Julian Forest, we had a fab time. Complex is very clean all staff very friendly and helpful, only drawback for us was the location of apartments, if walking to Icmeler it would take over 30mins, but bus or taxis always available bus journey approx 60p (1 lira 50) pp and taxi approx £2 (5 lira).
Transfer journey to complex from airport I am afraid to say took just under 4 hours, that on top of a 4 hour flight made it a very long day for the children, but by the 2nd day that was forgotten about. We arranged a private mini bus back to the airport which took just over 1 hour, made a big difference.
Rooms cleaned daily and linen changed every 3 days. 1 bedroom apartments quite small for family of 4.
We did not each much at the apartments except for the turkish night which was lovely and good value. Brochure advertised a kids club, but we found there was none on arrival, and entertainment for YOUNG children during the day was vertually none existent.
Last bit of advice take wasp and sting repellant, as julian forest has a very large amount of wasps, loads of children stung.

Location was a bit far out of the town for us but can get bus for 40p each but buses stop at 10pm and maybe later as season gets on, £4 at night we managed to get this price by asking for lower price, otherwise 35 - 40 mins walk into town.
Hotel staff very good and helpful.
Eentertainment was there if you wanted it day and night but too many children for us at night-time so we went out every night.
Bottle of beer in hotel about £1.70 but in town you could get it for about £1.50.
Meals were excellent in town steaks were only about £8 and chicken meals worked out to be about £6 in most Turkish restaurants plenty of choice for every taste.
Fourth time in Turkey, very friendly people.

It had all the amenities you would get back home,tv with sky, hairdryers, well equipped kitchen, air con,and beautifully done out mostly in marble. The staff were very friendly too and did try to ease the wasp poblem as much as they could.
The wristband you need to use at the hotel is a bit confusing as you cant keep a track of how much you are spending. We only ate at the hotel for breakfast as we like to be out and about, but the ones we had were very nice.
The hotel is a bit out from the centre of Icmeler but the dolmus(local bus)stops right outside the hotel every 5 mins or so.This was my first holiday in Turkey and I think Icmeler is a beautiful place, very sereen and not as busy as Marmaris but just as lovely and very picturesque.

When we arrived at Julian Forest we thought it's miles away. We soon found out from the staff there was a bus every 10 minutes and it cost 1250tl about 50p.
The hotel was wonderful, clean, 3 pools, slide pool, kids pool and large swimming pool. We didn’t spend much time on the slides as our kids found them a bit scary.
The food was ok but the small supermarket in the hotel was limiting and it was quite a walk to the nearest shop.
The reception staff were helpful and it had 24 hour security.
The entertainment staff couldn’t be more different while Musti spent all his time chatting to girls, Helen was in and out of the pool with our kids, played games, airplane making, and water polo. It was difficult to get our children away from her. Evening entertainment was ok but some nights there wasn’t any. Musti would put on a disco which people enjoyed. My husband had an ongoing pool tournament with Tolga the restaurant manager. Helen taught our kids the cha cha slide dance which they still dance to now. Next year I must learn.
We are trying to book again for this year.

Abo thought my 14 year old daughter was stunning, a prospect which filled me with dread! Not for me but I understand that is their culture.
Otherwise, hotel spotless and tastefully decorated, staff very friendly, food lovely, slides keep kids entertained, kids club ok but not great and the entertainment hit or miss, although we did have some very entertaining nights!!
Few english headers fighting too while we were there.

From the moment we arrived Helen (the Kids Rep) was there to entertain our kids. We hardly saw them all week we were there but we always knew where to look. I don’t know how Helen kept going!! Musti was more the adult entertainer who always had a trail of teenage girls following him. But the games we played were ok.
The water polo was interesting and my hubby enjoyed killer pool every day.
The bees were a problem but if you were careful it was ok. We didn’t get stung but people around us did.
The food was excellent in the hotel. The BBQ night was a must and we really enjoyed the breakdancers. Helen did a kids disco each night which my kids loved to do.
Overall I will go back next year I only hope Helen is there to entertain the kids again.

| said: Well laid out clean hotel.
Rooms very clean and comfortable.
Facilities in room more than adequate.
Spacious pool area with more than enough sunbeds & parasols.
Snacks & drinks available during the day at restaurant near pool.
Hotel location away from centre means you enjoy a more spacious layout than hotels in the town centre.
All staff are very friendly and helpful.
The entertainment team does its best with games enjoyed by children & adults during the day.
At night they have a battle to keep guests at hotel with the great variety of lovely restaurants to eat in and bars to entertain you to compete with.
No mosquitoes is a bonus, although flip flops are required when walking round pool as wasps tend to be on ground.
These are attracted by the honey in the pine cones in the trees on the mountains that surrounds the hotel. We saw some wild goats come down from the mountain one day.
Geting to the town from the hotel is no problem. Go either by bus, taxi, train or walk. It takes no longer than 25 minutes at a leisurely stroll to reach the beach. The journey can take you through the old village where you see the locals going about their daily chores.
All in all we could not fault the hotel and would recommend it to anybody. It was our first visit to Turkey and will certainly be going back.

| said: We stayed at JULIAN FOREST ICMELER in august, ( first time in Turkey). We had a 2 bedroom apartment, these apartments are superb, well equipped and of very good standard (home from home).
The complex is very friendly, all staff more than willing to help, serve or just converse. Sulleyman was our favourite, he was the most sincere.
The pool area is superb, lots of sunbeds, brollys and space. The water slides are brilliant, no need to go to waterpark.
Food is OK if you are having chips or salad but everything else is poor and not very hot. The breakfast is best left alone. BBQ night food was better than the restaurant, but half the nights entertainment failed to show up which made it a poor night out.
Musti, one of the entertainers was very friendly and game for a laugh but Helen the other entertainer did not have the same attributes as Musti, she showed no personality or enthusiasm in the two weeks we were there.
The biggest downside of thE JULIAN FOREST was the bees, all 10,000 of them. Between us we were stung over 12 times, and spent many an hour or two batting them away. Wasp-eze is as essential here as sun-cream.
Dolmuses(1 million lira-40p) run very frequently outside and are cheaper than taxis(5 million lira £2.00 in daytime and approx 15 million lira £6.00night time). The dolmuses are bags more fun than than the taxis.
Holiday accomodation dosen`t come much better than here!

| said: The location was lovely and the staff helpful and friendly but it was very noisy - the entertainment went on until the early hours - the family next door to us called Security one night having been woken (as we had) by guests returning at half three in the morning yelling to each other.
The music at the swimming pool during the day was also very loud. Our 10yr old son was stung at the pool by a bee and the hotel nurse said he had to go to hospital for an injection - a little OTT as it was only on his foot! a fellow holidaymaker came to the rescue with a Bite-Ease pen - I recommend that every family should take one as lots of people got stung when we were there.
We found the one-bedroom apartment quite cramped - couldn't get into the wardrobe if the boys were at the table. But it was spotlessly clean and we loved the family of chickens which clucked for bread outside our balcony every morning - luckily we had a roadside room.

the scenery for starters, you could lie on a sun-bed whilst looking at the rocks and slightly swaying trees that surround you. i never got bored of looking out my window of the view outside!
the hotel is extreamly clean and looks fantastic from every derection.
the pools are cleaned out and are suitable for any kind of people. there is a childrens pool so that parents are safe taking smaller babies into the water without getting splashed. there is a pool for the water slides whice i found entertaining and would deffenatly keep any child (if they are) entertained and safe. the larger pool has games played in everydy or so. a member of staff comes and asks you if you would like to play and if not it is no problem and you can still swim whilst the game.
i got on really well with the staff getting to know them and they are always up for a laugh and to learn new things about you and where you are from. we liked the staff so much we went outwith a meal with one and on a boat ride with the other.
drinks and food may be expecive but the non-alcoholic coctails are very good and well worth it made by server.
there are many places to visit and amny things to do from quad biking and snorkling to lying in the sand and mudbaths.
i am deffinatly coming to this hotel again and it was a holiday i shall never forget.

You didnt have to carry your money around with you around the hotel because you can buy wristbands which you could pay for food and drinks with.

I do hope that the hotel will address this issue for next season as it could put people off returning.

When we arrived everything was spotless and very new and stylish.
The staff were so friendly especially some of the pool bar staff.
The location we thought would be a bit of a bother but the dolmus ride into town is perfect and is something different. The scenery is also breathtaking and because it's in the mountains there is a cool breeze to soften the heat.
The entertainment was a bit of a let down but we only saw it one night so who are we to judge!
We had a great holiday and hope to visit again soon!

Modern, bright and and rooms cleaned every day and the maid even left her own little touches by leaving us flowers in a vase. We had a great view looking out onto the pool.
We ate out in the hotel bar and resteraunt on several occasions which was always of good standard although sometimes we had to wait for a while.
The location of the hotel was at the back of the resort of Icemeler but the dolmus and taxi's both stopped outside the reception and even the Hoye's jeweller was happy to give us a lift into the resort centre.
Hotel staff were very friendly and worked very hard and were good with the kids. Etertainment was ok but was repeated a few times - the kids club and the daytime entertainment was excellent and was great fun even if you were just sat watching.
We have visited Icemeler 3 times and we love it and in three weeks time I will be visiting the Julian Forest again and can't wait!!!!!

| said: We stayed in three seperate apatments, all of which were of the highest standard, we had both one bedroom and two bedroomed apartments so we was able to compare the difference. Our apartment (one bedroom) was adequate for me, my husband and our two daughters and we had a lovely pool view. The apartment was cleaned daily by a lovely caring lady who use to leave us flowers in a vase on a regular basis. The apartments were well equipped with toaster, microwave and hairdryer so we could not have asked for more.
We never actually used any of the equipment though as we always ate out both at the hotel resteraunt and in icmeler town. The hotel resteraunt had a fair choice of menu and even my daughter who is a very fussy eater found something that she liked on the menu. The staff were very friendly and made us all feel welcome and during our stay became good friends with some of them. Helen kepy our youngest daughter entertained in the children's club daily and we found it difficult to prise her away if we wanted to go out. The location of the hotel was a bit off putting when we first arrived as it was our 3rd time in icmeler so we were aware that we were quite some way from the resort centre but we soon discovered that this wasn't a problem as the dolmus and local taxis stopped outside the main doors and even the hotel's jewler was kind enough to give us a lift one evening. Entertainment was ok but by the end of the 2 weeks we had seen each act 2-3 times, but the entertainment team kept everyone going day and night. As I have said it was our 3rd time in icmeler and this was by far the best hotel we have stayed in and I would have no hesitation in returning there again.

| said: Club Julian Forest is the best place i have ever been its the best holiday i have ever been on. It was surrounded by trees which made it lovley to be away from the town. there was a big pool and a baby pool there is also 2 slides which are really good so you don't have to visit the water park. you can get a bus into icmeler town center which only costs 40p per person its easy to catch as it comes and picks you up from your hotel every 10-20 minutes. The food is really nice we ate in some nights but everyday we had either a breakfast or dinner. there is a supermarket on site which sells all the essentials the prices are reasonable. the drinks at the bar where a reasonable price aswell they did offers every night and happy hour every night. there was a bbq night every wednesday which is well worth while going to you get as much as you can eat a break dancing show 2 belly dancers and traditional folk dancers. Entertainment was excellent and all the bar staff espessially ozman he was great my mum and dad where always with im talking to him. but my favourite entertainer was musti i spend most of the holiday with him he was really good and did lots of games during the day. We are even keeping in touch with the staff we have only been bac 1 day and already we av heard from ozman and musti. I recomend this holiday to anyone and i am definitly going back next year i love musti!!!!

| said: Myself (John) Carol, Morgan, Sophie, and 14 month old Grace had a lovely 2 week stay at Julien Forest.
We arrived in the early hours (Approx 5am)
Unfortunately there was no welcome pack so be aware that you will have no food, water, tea bags etc in the room when you arrive and the hotel mini market will be closed so buy these items at the stop off from the airport or bring as much food with you from England as this will save you a lot of money, especially cereals for breakfast!!
We could not fault the appartments or the cleaning staff who were very good. The staff were very friendly although most of them did not speak English especially the bar staff.
The main pool is large and the baby pool is a good size too. There are also 2 slides.
The bar is very expensive, almost 3 times more expensive than the supermarkets
The best thing to do is shop at Tansas (big supermarket that Turkish residents also use) in Icmeler, where the bus drops you off which is a third cheaper than anywhere else.
The appartments are quite a way out from Icmeler centre so taxi or bus is really the only option, which can be expensive by the end of your holiday if you have a large family to consider. Bus was 1,000,000TL EACH person (approx 50p) and taxi averaged 7,000,000TL (approx £3) per car.
There are local supermarkets nearby but be careful, you can easily be ripped off if you do not understand the money. One example in the nearest supermarket, on the counter are cans of corned beef for £8 each!!!
The entertainment was a bit rubbish and the management did not do a lot to persuade families to stay in the appartment because the beer at the bar was very expensive, the food is not brilliant and the entertainment rubbish.... we saw the same 4 or 5 shows six times each over the course of the two weeks!!!
Overall the hotel is great and the staff are great also. We had a lovely time at Julien and would definately go again. The children enjoyed themselves and so did my 14 month old

the pools are fantastic we stayed at the small one with slides which my daughter hurt her foot on but the nurse sortred that very quickly and she was back to her old self we had a great time by the pools and the slides are really good for the kids
All the staff are really helpfull they cant do enough for you the entertainment at night is ok we had some good nights watching the caberets and shows
This hotel is quite out of the way but the dolmus comes every 10 minuets which is handy

| said: We were also allocate on arrival but our invoice showed Julian Forest so I had a chance to look at the reviews before we went and I must say we were very happy. Beautiful well equipped apartments with two bedrooms and bathrooms – we were only expecting one – spotlessly clean.
We liked the location – a little out of the way surrounded with trees. The dolmuses now are running roughly every ten minutes outside the hotel – excluding Sundays when they are less frequent. Easy to get to Icmeler for 1million lira (40p) and to Marmaris (50p) with a change of bus. You don’t pay for the first leg of the journey if going to Marmaris. They also run quite late and we were able to still get one at 1.45am back to the apartments. Taxis are everywhere all the time – ask for a price – it was only metered once while we were there. We paid anything from 4 – 12 million (£1.60 - £4.80) depending on the time – usually about 8 million (£3.20).
Taxi boats run during the day from Icmeler to Marmaris for 5 million (£2) and also the other way to Turunc.
We don’t like to spend all our time at the apartment complex especially in the evenings so it’s difficult to comment on the entertainment. Food and drink was much more expensive in the Julian Forest than outside. There were a couple of complaints from people that said prices for some items had doubled during the week before we came.
Although prices have risen in Turkey you can still get breakfast for a £1 in Icmeler and the bars and restaurants are very good. My 16 year old daughter and 12 year old son had a great time at the Majestic Boys and Friends Bars where they made great friends with the staff.
Food was good wherever we went.
We did make use of the pools which were great. Kids loved the slides. Very comfortable wooden sunbeds with mattresses. For most part of our holiday we had no problems getting one at any time but it was noticeable before we left that they were filling up as it got busier.
The shop at the apartments doesn’t carry much and is expensive. The little supermarket – twenty minutes walk - towards Icmeler is much better. There is a nice bar there as well.
Icmeler has a reasonably big supermarket and it was worth going there and getting a taxi back with supplies.
Having read the reviews I was a little paranoid about the towels. We were not charged but I noticed on checkout several carriers bags which looked like they contained towels ready for reception to pounce. They asked our room number and went through them but we escaped the embarrassment.
All in all it was a great holiday - superb accommodation in a nice resort and would highly recommend it.

The location of the Hotel was out of the way slightly but that was perfect for us, as the dolimus stopped right outside every couple of minutes and took us into Icmeler or Marmaris.
The Staff were fantastic and nothing was to much trouble for them. From everyone to the owner Ahmed right to the entertainer Musty they were brilliant.!!!
We had such a fantastic time that we arrived home on Wednesday morning and booked to go again in 5 weeks time. CANT WAIT!!!!!!!

| said: Julian Forest Apartments were absolutely fabulous.
We stayed for a week, we loved it so much we went back two weeks later.
The staff were brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble for them, from keeping little children active to keeping adults entertained. The Bar Manager Tolga (AKA Steven Segal) was very helpful and friendly as were all the waiters.
The pools were kept immaculate, and sun beds were always available.
The entertainment was good, and the location is beautiful, with a stunning backdrop of the Turkish mountains.
We would definitely visit again, hopefully this year!
P.S Hi Phoebe ;-)

From the rooms being cleaned every day to the apartments having everything you need, with kettle, toaster and even a microwave. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The supermarket was expensive and didnt really sell anything that was needed. We didnt like having to use a wrist band though. We met some good friends and the staff made us feel very welcome. But be careful you dont damage or stain any of the delf or towels as you have to pay for them. We had a brilliant two week holiday and would go back some time again.
P.S, We met phoebe, and her mum and dad while we were staying there, and we'd just like to say hello to them if they are reading this. Hiya phoebe :)

| said: Wow....what a place!
I had booked a 'allocation on arrival'
we were taken to 'Julian appartments' and were pleasantly surprised,i would class this complex as a 4 star.
fantastic time was had by all.
Temperatures was 45-50!!!(end of june)
met lots of people from the uk and played with 'phobe' she was a lovely girl with a uk family.
The 'hotel/apartments' are brilliant and we would recommend this place to stay to anyone.
The pool was very clean and well kept.
a childrens pool is also available with two fantasic slides, what a good time we had!
Had trouble with one staff member who was rude to my daughter, but was sorted by management.
Overall the staff was very friendly especially to the women(seems the thing with turkish men).
The entertainment laid on is various and very good.
'Bracelet system' that you put credit/money on and is easily used up.
The marketshop in the apartments is very limited but it's early days as the complex has only been open for about three weeks.
Next door to Julian forest is also a new complex open 1 week exactly the same building type.
There is a very good local store just down the road about ten min walk.
We had trouble getting a dolmus to the local town of ichlemer as the complex is located at the end of there 'round' and they were reluctant to go all the way there.
I'm sure this will change in time to come.
always taxi's available at a standard rate of 7 mill.
Ichlemer town is buzzing and i couldn't see the point in going into Marmaris which was only an extra 5 mins away.
went to Marmaris one day and was too busy for us.
Unfortunatly talk was going around that we were used as 'guinie pigs' for the resort to see the opinions and views of us and they would amend there pricing policy accordingly..
I DO HOPE that they wil be sensible and keep there room rates down as anyone and everyone should stay here if they can afford it.
Brilliant.

We found the Julian Forest Apartments to be excellent, it is set at the bottom of mountains past the old village of Icmeler. The rooms were spacious and were cleaned every day with linen change. The staff were lovely, really friendly(maybe our 3 17/18/19 year old girls had something to do with that) but they were helpful and had a word for everybody despite having to work an average of 16/17 hours a day. Musti 1 and Musti 2 from the Animation entertainment team were great from Killer Pool to Water Polo, Turkish Night to Karoke. The drinks in the bar were expensive(bracelet system used to pay) compared to the village bars and restaurants, and with the exception of the Bar-B-Q night the restaurant food was average. The Julian Forest was the best apartments that we have stayed in( 3rd time to Turkey). It is situated a short distance from the resort but it can be reached by Dolmus bus or taxi that can be got at the front of the apartments. All in all we had a lovely stay here and met great people especially Phobe & Jordan and all the staff. Will definitely go back.

The entertainment programme is varied, fun and enjoyable. although the evening acts tend to be a little repetative.
Cleanlines is exceptional with a daily maid service.
Food at the Julian Forest is on the whole a high quality, table service is excellent.
Our little boy Jordan was made to feel like a king and sobbed his heart out when it was time to leave. WE loved every minute of our stay , it all ended too soon.
We would highly recommend The Julian Forest to others.

| said: This hotel is new and has only been opened for 4 weeks. The apartments are very nice and a maid service is in operation, changing sheets and towels.
However, be very careful using these towels as you will be charged 8 million lira for a hand towel and 16 million lira for a bath towel should there be any mark on them, even if the mark can be easily removed by washing. If you stay at these apartments, my advice would be to use your own towels.
