after 10years of visiting this resort on a b/b basis we thought we would try an a/i for the first time hotel food acceptable, the hotel was dated but clean, we had to move rooms from the front of the hotel to the back due to the awfull noise that they called entertainment,we were also led to believe that there was air conditioning in the rooms (not true) centrally controlled ,unfortunatly 95% of the time the management decided to save money and turn the air con off, most of the holiday company representatives complained to the management about the lack of the a/c with little impact this meant that we had very little sleep for the 14nights we had at this hotel, it would appear that they mean a/c is controlled for the reception area only this was the only area that was noticeabley cool.

This hotel was great. We have been to turkey about 12 times now and we try different places all the time and if we had of found this hotel sooner we probly would of stayed in it more times. The hotel food was good their was always alot of choice. The weather was very hot. The hotel location was great as it was only about 15-20 minites walk to the icmerler market on a wednesday and their was bars near by the hotel to. Hotel staff were very friendly you could never fault them, and anything you asked for they tryed to get for you. The rep Laura was excellant she was alway on hand if you ever needed her for anything, you could tell she really enjoyed her job. The entertainment was okay as they tryed their best. Yes we would visit this hotel again as we really enjoyed it.

We went to the l'etoile for our honeymoon, we were very pleased with the hotel. It was very clean, the towels were changed every day and so was the bed linen. Being honeymooners we have a complimentary bottle of wine and a basket of fruit waiting for us in the room which was lovely. There was a fridge in our room and a safe. The air conditioning was on all the time. The lock on our patio doors broke and reception sent someone up to fix it straight away.

The food is buffet style it had everything you could think of from salads, soups, hot food and desserts. They even cook the hot food infront of you so you know its fresh and hot! There pancakes for breakfast were lovely. we never went hungry there was so much food all day. You have breakfast, lunch, snacks (hamburgers/chips ect), tea & biscuits, dinner then soop at 11 o'clock. I dont know why anyone could leave a bad report of the food.

The location is perfect you have your own private beech right outside the hotel, your own shop, gym and spa and a quick walk to all the shops.

The staff were all lovely you couldn't meet nicer people, they were there straight away cleaning up after you and pulling your chair out.

The only downfall for this hotel was the entertainment, there is pleanty during the day for kids and adults that want to join in. but at night time it not great some nights there wasn't anything at all, but the turkish night was fab if they had entertainment like that every night it would be perfect. But due to it being all inclusive we just stayed in drinking before we went out so that was good, and the entertainment people take you into mamaris at night by bus and bring you back for free so if your interested in that it was really good.

I would definately go back to the l'etoile as i was very happy with my holiday there.

We stayed at Hotel L'etoile for one week. The hotel was very clean, in a good location near to the beach.
The food was good, varied buffet style menus, well presented and plentiful.
The room was comfortable with a fridge and safe as standard.
The only fault was with the availability of air conditioning. It was limited to three times a day to begin with. After three days of over 43C, it was increased to an afternoon session and overnight. It was not very efficient. Otherwise we had a good holiday and would come back to the hotel again, probably earlier in the year.

The hotel was absolutelly spotless, there was always a daily maid service and rooms were mopped out everyday. Food was fine, usually some strange mixes but all very nice. The location was brilliant, right on the sea front, 2 mins away from the bars and restaurants. Hotel staff were all very friendly and cooperative, the holiday reps are also very outstanding, always on hand! Entertainment could have been better but fingers crossed there is a new entertainment team in now and thing should liven up. This is been the best holiday i have ever been on and i will be returning next year.

Just returned from L'Etoile, great hotel, staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean hotel bright and cheerful to be in, meals great put on 1/2 stone during visit.

Entertainment staff tried hard but lacked a little umph in the evenings, will return again as we love Icmeler and this hotel.

Laura the Thomas Cook rep was probably the best rep we have ever had in 24years abroad, hope shes still there next year.

The hotel was spotless, rooms were very clean, couldn't fault the cleanliness
Food was good, good choice and there was always salad, soup and a number of desserts to choose from. Fruit selection was particulary good but the selection of desserts made up for this!
Location, right on the beach front, surrounded by bars and shops, excellent.
Hotel staff couldn't do enough for you, very polite and friendly.
Entertainment team were lovely but the entertainment program was poor.
Didin't want to leave, would definately go back to this hotel.

Tha All Inclusive part of the hotel was fantastic. There was always food on and always 2 bars open. There was one at the back of the hotel near the beach was always open in the day time and always one by the pool oopen 24 hours.
The hotel cleanliness was always at a high standerd. there was not one part of the hotel you would see a mess because as soon as there is dirt or muck it has been cleaned up. Very high standerds.
The hotel food wasn't so great. The turkish obviously like their chick and chips. Chicken was the main meet of the day everyday. there wasn't really much change in the food but it was eadable enough to eat.
The hotel location was ok. Near markets and the beach and just down the road which was walkinable in 5 minutes was very good.
The hotel staff are very polite and have a laught with you. They help you in every way shape and form. Very polite and helpful.
Entertainment at night was very poor in the hotel but you do have 5/6 clubs in walkable distance. In the day time there is alot of entertainment on.

The food was disgusting and repetative, food was often uncooked in the middle or heated from a previous meal. Sprouts that were not eaten turned up in a seafood dressing on the salad bar the next day. The staff were alright but not as helpful as they could have been. The hotel location was ideal for the beach and for walking around the resort.

Entertainment was terrible, the guy couldn't sing and didn't know the words to almost all of the songs he attempted. A few people offered to pay for his taxi home he was that bad.
We would never visit this hotel again, one room was off limits due to a bridge tournament, which left one bar for everyone else. Take my advice and book elsewhere.

Hi.
We have just returned from the Hotel L'Etoile and I must say I enjoyed everything about it.
The food was excellent, there was always alot to choose from. The dining area was spacious and the outside dining area was particulary nice because you could see the beach and overlook the garden.
The room we stayed in included 3 single beds, an amazing view of Icmeler as we were on the 4th floor, a nice sized bathroom, A/C, and more including a balcony.
It was always very clean in the Hotel, maids changed your sheets and provided dry cloths and clean towels daily. The staff were incredible. They were extremely friendly and never once hesitated to help us out, they were always making sure we were comfortable and happy. The atmosphere around the hotel was enjoyable.
The location was perfect. The beach and sea were just outside the Hotel and you only had to step outside the front door and within view were a variety of shops and restraunts to choose from. To be honest the entertainment wasnt a problem for me as there were bars and all sorts going on in the town, I didnt mind that the Hotel didnt provide 'loads' of entertainment if people wanted it they could easily walk a few yards to a bar of something similar. There was music played at the side of the pool, a BBQ , a room where a t.v and computer were provided along with comfy sofas and much more.
Overall I really enjoyed my stay at the L'Etoile Hotel and we will be visiting it again in April.

We have just returned from spending a second year at the L'Etoile hotel, Icmeler. What a wonderful time we had. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, the staff were very friendly and most helpful. The majority of the staff spoke very good English and we found no problem in holding a conversation with them. They also had a good sense of humour. The food although repetative is lovely with several choices for every taste. How anybody can complain about this hotel is beyond us and if you want to eat English...stay at home. The only grumble we had was about the room allocated on arrival, but after speaking to reception, we were allocated another room almost immediately and we were completely satisfied. The hotel pool is kept very clean and there were ample sunbeds available for use. The entertainment wasn't great, but definitly an improvement on last year. Sarah the Thomas Cook rep was most helpful over a minor problem we had and was always available for advice if needed. She was wonderful. We will definitly be going back to this hotel again.

we booked two weeks all inclusive at the l'etoile. it was first class for cleanliness, and located on the beach front. staff were excellent really friendly and helpful. food presentation was excellent lots of choice. entertainment adequate but was fine for us as we wanted a quite relaxing holiday. only negative aspect was not enough sunloungers and you had to set your alarm for 6 am to get one haha. i would definately visit this hotel again and highly recommend it. the thomas cook rep sarah was very friendly and helpful. due to a family bereavement we had to cut short our holday. sarah and the staff were very helpful and could not do enough for both of us.

The biggest issue we found with the hotel was noise.
I don't know why but they had two big marshall syle speakers around the pool playing music all day.
Generally rap, reggae and mixed pop not my cup of tea!
If you are there in high season, the pool is small and if you can put up with simon cowell's finest etc you will have to be up like a lark to get a sun bed, I failed most days!
The hotel is a far cry from 4 star- i would say 3 tops.
Food was fine, unless you are wanting jellied eels and steak pie.
Good soups, salad's and main course selection with a range of sweets as well.
It's not a hotel to recommend, a two hour journey from the airport, long flight, i would say there is just nothing to recommend it or make the effort for.

We stayed at the l'etoile for 2 weeks all inclusiv. The fod was quite repetitive but thre was always something there you liked it suited all ov the 11 who went even though there was a few fussy eaters.
The maids cleaned the room everyday, and were always cheery when you saw them.
The hotel is located in a very good place in between all of the bars and reseraunts etc. The beach is just right outside of the hotel. The dining room is set half outside, with usualy all the hot food and the bbq and half inside where the buffet style food is such as your starters and dessert which there was a big choice of. The dining area outside is very nice as you can see the sea from you seat.
The hotel staff are friendly and are willing to ddo anything to help you.
The entertainment was poor, everynight was a diffeent man playing an instrument and (trying) to sing. This wasnt that bad as we stayed in the hotel for an hour or so while the entertainment began, then we went out of the hotel to different bars.
I would deffinatley visit this hotel again and so would the ret of the party i travelled with.

Hotel was more of a 2*+,some staff were friendly, on reception, if you were a young female they would help, if not they weren't helpful at all.Rooms were cleaned every day maid was cheerful.Bar staff served the warm beer in plastic beakers which had been used that many times some had teeth marks in. Ice you had to ask for then given 2 small ice cubes in drinks which melted straight away as glass warm as well as drink. Entertainment well what can I say if you liked Billy Bontempi on his organ trying to sing English songs, making the words up.During the day there was water polo for adults, which was terrible. For children there wasnt much,a pool table 1 Que which was selotaped together. Food repeated it self, chips, scabby, what was left over was used in salad next day.Plus flys on food.Air conditioning centrally controlled was told by rep ment, hotel turned on and off. When it was hot they turned it off! Sun beds you got 1 if you got up at 6am.

Hotel is located in the heart of all the bars, shops etc. and very close to the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful.Rooms are basic but very comfortable.Rooms are cleaned every day with fresh linen and towels.Staff in hotel are always cleaning.
Entertainment is very limited for a big hotel, mainly being someone singing or a turkish folk group and a turkish belly dancer.Food was very repetitive and not a lot of choice.OK if you like spicy food.Very well presented and always hot.Swimming pool very small and have to get up early if you want a sunbed. Not a lot to do for the 13 to 17 year old age group.I would stay at this hotel if I could go self catering or B&B but defiantly not All Inclusive.

The hotel was very good apart from two things.

Air Conditioning did not work well at all and we struggled without it. Fans can be bought from the local shop at approx £20. Well worth it.
The enterainment was poor but suited us because we wanted a quiet holiday.

The pool area is great, lots of sunbeds.

The staff could not do enough for you. Very friendly always willing to help.

We enjoyed the food but it was a bit repetitive.

A well situated hotel close by the water front in a pleasant resort.

This was the 7 day cheap and cheerful holiday we expected, let down by two problems.

The entertainment was very poor and secondly, of much more importance, the food was terrible.

It was repeticious and of poor quality. Vegetables not used during dinner appeared in the salad offerings for the next day's lunch.

I stayed at L,etoile last year with my teenage son. I was told before going to remember that a Turkish 4 * differed from an English 4*.

The rooms were very clean(always leave the toilet seat shut) view was amazing. We spent most days by the pool and explored at night.

We enjoyed the food, so what if hot veg from 1 night turned up in a salad cold the next day, there was always plenty to eat and drink If you want more from a 4 * in turkey you need to book 5*.

We got a late booking and it was brilliant value for money, so much so we are returning to the same hotel next week.

What a great holiday.

Clean hotel. Staff very friendly always on hand to help. Food was good. People expecting British food stay in UK be prepared to try everything you never know you may like it I know we did.

Not much entertainment at night but there were loads of bars etc locally.

Go to Icmeler market it was good we went to Marmaris market but found it very claustraphoic.

Always use dolmus its cheap and to be honest an experience we loved.

All in all was a great holiday and Sarah Thomas Cook rep was so helpful she was A+++++

Will return again.

Just back after a week at L'Etoile. The hotel is very-well located, very clean and the entire staff very friendly and hard-working. I went all-inclusive and the food was OK. I'm quite a faddy eater but managed to find something to eat every day. The choice maybe could have been a bit more extensive but the salad selection was excellent. Just one choice of beer is the other slight moan I'd make on that count.

If people are looking for entertainment in the hotel they will be disappointed but, to be honest, I dont think it's something you should expect a hotel to provide. There's plenty of places around the resort for that as well as places to eat cheaply and excellently.

We were a bit apprehensive about visiting this hotel after reading some of the more recent reports however there was no need to be concerned as we had a great time.

The hotel was very clean food was really good although i can understand what people may say about it being a bit repetitive in the second week.

It was the end of the season(they're finished at the end of October)but you didn't feel as though they weren't bothered or that the choice wasn't there.

I did hear a couple of grumbles about the condition of the rooms and as soon as they asked the reception they were moved to a different room.

What I can gauge from this is that one wing of the hotel is currently under refurbishment, so maybe next year it will be better.

Hotel location is great. Right on the seafront with lovely views across the bay(obviously you need to be on a higher floor for this)Perfectly located for all the seafront restaurants and bars and very close to all the shops.

The staff were great all very friendly and willing to help in anyway possible. Can't give a honest opinion of hotel entertainment as we don't tend to partake.

But could hear some kind of activity everynight.(we're book readers on holiday and tend to curl up with a drink and a book in the evenings)

Am off to Thomas Cook later to book again for next April.

The hotel was very clean generally. Decor was of a very high standard in the public areas (eg hotel reception/foyer) but the bedrooms were more of a basic decor/standard say 3***.

Location-wise, it was great - right by the beach/bars/shops.

Entertainment was VERY poor - it usually consisted of a singer and an electric organ/guitar but really it was just background music - there was no joining in/games/quizes etc.

Bar-wise, there were less bars open than advertised in the brochure which was disappointing and sometimes it took longer to get served if you were a woman which is naughty.

Food-wise, it was generally very good and there was a lot of choice. Unable to take drinks/water to the room which was disappointing.

The air-con in the bedrooms was very poor.

I stayed at the Hotel last year, and came back again this year, my comments are:-

I found the food horrible.

The air conditioning didn't work as it was supposed to, at night switched off at 2am, when most need during the night.

When we booked in on arrival, we were shown too our room, which was a 2 beedroom, and we booked a 3 bedroom, the bathroom was smelly and it was just most disappointing. I have to say after travelling for hours and hours we were not happy at all, the view we had was of dog kennels, barking and just not nice.
We were informed to see the Manager same day and our Rep, we got moved next day for a better room top floor, (537) nice views but again the A/C was not working and even worse, and why switched off at 2am, surely it should stay on 24/7, at night the A/C is most needed.

The rep was just a waste of space, he was more on their side, and just no help at all to us, very disappoiting.

We'll never book with Thomas Cook again, we are going back next year but not to this Hotel.

Not recommened for a family or couple, the food poor and entertainment poor, nothing put on during the day really for kids.

The pool a good size.

A/C poor.

I've just returned from a 2 week holiday in Icmeler it was our 1st time at the L'Etoile hotel and I thought it was very good.

All the staff were very friendly especially the maids and bar staff ( JJ and Isaick) were very helpful.

The rooms were ok but at night it as very hot because the air conditioning turned off at 2am and even when it was on it wasn't brilliant.

The food was ok but most of the time it was the same sort of thing and there wasn't alot of choice for children.

At night we never stayed in because there wasn't really any entertainment and during the day there wasn't any either.

Even though the hotel is 4 star would say its about 3 star.

We have just returned from a two week holiday at the L'Etoile Hotel in Icmeler.

This hotel was advertised as a 4* Hotel on the Brochure, it was more like a 2*. The furniture was very shabby and in great need of repair. The air conditioning was inadequate especially during the night.

The staff worked very hard to keep the hotel clean and tidy and most of them were very helpful.

The food was very repetetitive and did not cater for children. The chips were usually very scrappy and cold, which resulted in us eating outside the hotel after the 3rd day. This resulted in a very expensive holiday because we had paid for an all inclusive holiday.

The entertainment during the evening was very poor, there was an odd musician and for the very young a disco that lasted approximately 15 minutes.

The hotel did not really cater for teenagers to which there were four in our party. There was one pool table and one table tennis table. Often there were long queues to use these facilities.

Luckily for us the hotel was situated in a very delightful area, close to the beach and a short bus ride to Marmaris.

Altogether a very disappointing stay.

Although the hotel is 4*, I felt that it was more like a 2-3* hotel.

We went all inc but after eating the same food every night ate out after day 5 (we went for 2 weeks).

The staff were excellent, vert helpful and friendly and polite.

The hotel itself was very clean, as soon as you used an ashtray the staff would replace it with a clean one.

The rooms were basic for a 4*, twin beds with 1 very hard pillow each and the waffle blanket that was very uncomfortable....the air con didn't work at night and we were told by another guest that it was switched off 2am-11am.. I woke every night at 6am to have cold shower as it was so hot...the bathroom was basic but at least the shower worked and didn't run cold !! We asked to move after the first night as we were over looking the road and deliveries woke us at 7am, but we were moved to a pool/sea view next day without a problem.

The entertainment was shocking, 3 diff men singing badly on rotation and luckily we had no kids with us as the only entertainment for them was a CD that played 5 songs exactly the same every night to dance with an over excited lady.

I would visit Icmeler again as it was an excellent resort but not the hotel as the rooms/food and entertainment were very below standard for 4*

This will be our third time at the Letoile and we cannot fault this hotel in any way it certainly delivered on all departments.

There is so much food to chose from you dont know where to start! Staff and management so helpful ( hello to Mehmet ,Isaik and the lovely wee lassie behind the bar)

You could not be situated in a more fantastic location. I wouldnt be too concerned about the lack of entertainment unless you have kids, but for couples its perfect and the fact that there are guests from all over the worldmakes it a great multicultural experience .

Just relax and soak up the atmosphere Icmeler is one of the most beautiful clean places I have ever been in and the Letoile is the perfect base for your holiday.

Regardless of what negative reports youve read there are some people you can never please.

Roll on 29th June !

Hi. Me and my girlfriend visited this hotel last June and we oved it. The staff were all very helpful and we found our room spotless with beautiful views (but I do agree about the A/C being lame).

The food was tasty and had a wide variety of choice. Most of the day we spent by the pool and the bar was more or less poolside so it was handy when we needed a drink. Activities happened through the day with water aerobics and water polo.

We didn't spend much time at the hotel in the evening as we prefered to have a wander around the other bars so I can't comment on the entertainment. Me and my girlfriend have just recently went back to Thomas Cook and rebooked our holiday back to Icmeler and we are staying again in the Le'toile.

Just returned from a wonderful two week holiday staying in Icmeler at L'Etoile Beach, and after reading some of the reviews here before we jetted off, I felt compelled to write about our experience of the hotel.

Hotel looks impressive, better than in the brochure and was very clean. It was very cosmpolitan with plenty of Dutch, German, British and Russian tourists. Staff very professional and hard working.

The rooms are fairly basic but have all you need and are cleaned to a high standard.

Food was excellent with plenty of choice and few repetitions over our two week stay. Breakfast selection was brilliant with lots of different breads, cereals, fruits, yogurts, eggs, cheeses and meats along with a daily hot selection. Lunch and dinner included plenty of fresh salads, breads, cheeses and hot dishes from stews and pastas to roast chicken and lamb meatballs. Everything looked appetizing and was well presented. Desserts to die for too, including baklavas, cakes, mousses and tarts- the clothes certainly feel a bit tighter now I am back! And if that is not enough, there are burgers, chips and pizza in the afternoon, follwed by cake and biscuits at tea time and even late night soup and bread!

The only downside was poor entertainment but there are plenty of other places to go in Icmeler and nearby Marmaris if you prefer.

The staff were very good the air con needs updating the rooms I have been in have been excellent but I have seen some of the others and they are in need of an update. The carpets make them look shabby they need to have wooden floors like some of the nicer rooms.

The entertainment is still not very good but in the day they now have a new entertainments leisure person his name is Arpel, he is excellent very friendl and helpful. Likes a laugh. His bingo nights are great and the prizes are fab!

All inclusive but we went out to eat the second week as the food made us ill. The beer is warm and the wine is cheap and taste like vinegar. There is a poor selection of drink and you'll probably not get your money's worth.

Staff were ok however male staff were too over friendly wanting to take you out most nights and don't understand the meaning of the word no. When we saw male staff outside the hotel they would tell other English lads not to talk to us.

Can't fault the location at all and love Icmeler but the best night life is in Marmaris.

Entertainment................ is that what you call it? We decided to go in September as kids are back at school but because there was all of about 3 kids in the hotel they catered for them all night singing the same annoying songs. Over and over again.

I would recommend that if you do go to Turkey trust me it's worth knowing a few words to understand what the men say to you............ You'll be shocked at the lack of respect for English women.

I won't be going to this hotel again probably be going self catering as the food in the restaurants is fantastic.

Arrived at the L Etoile in the dark and it looked much nicer than the brochure. We asked for a top floor apartment but were given a 1st floor room.

We couldnt complain though because we had a room with 3 balconies 2 bathrooms with shower and bath, plus a lounge and lovely views.

When we woke in the morning we noticed that the carpet was absolutly filty !!! Fantastic pool area and the dining rooms and lounges were decorated to a high standard. Hotel was in a very good position and only a few paces away from the hotel gardens.

The jetty for all boat trips are right by the hotel. I dont think you could get a better position in Icmeler than the L Etoile but 2 things let this hotel down !!

Food..awful. Entertainment... even worse. We found or selves eating out most days and finding entertainment else where. I would certainly return to this hotel due to the position of the hotel but, only if it was self catering. No disrespect but your fine if your German or Swiss, you get all the attention then.

I shall have to learn the language before we return next year.Icmeler itself cant be faulted, its fantastic.

The L'etoile looks on arrival as discribed in brochure but if you like to be cool in your room be prepared for a shock. It is like having your heating on in winter in England it is so hot,so any women thinking about doing their hair at night forget it you know the old story 'leave your hairdryer at home you won' need to bother' no sooner dry your hair it's wet again this make's for all your images of having a glam holiday gone through the window?? All you woman will know what I mean.

Also any women wan't there hair colouring try hotel hairdresser they are Toni @ Guy of Icmeler My hair has never looked better and for 30.00 pound I normally pay treble that if air con was working this would be fanastic, ruined my hol as so hot. Take plenty of wet gel with you,be prepared!!!

Hotel staff ok except for reception blokes who think it some sort of joke if you complain about air con, they look at you as if to say low life English how dare they, but we pay as much as the Germans/Swiss if not more why should'nt we get same treatment .

We had to change rooms 3 times to get some air con so persevere it will happen. Although we shoul'dnt have to go there, the Germans don't have too.

I would never stay in this hotel again too much for too little.

Food ok cannt fault plenty of stew like mammy use to make dont waste you money`

We arvived at the hotel l'etoile early hours of the morning with a suprise of it looking nicer than in the brochure!

The hotel was clean enough not stopless but not skin crawling!
The food is eatable but not to our families taste but we manged to find something to eat!

The location is spot on with the hotels entertainment not up to scrach we went out everynight!

The problem was with the some of the male hotel staff which took a liking to my 15 year old sister they are a bit perverted! friendly enough.

There is a woman that works behind the bar who is very friendly and helpful! Lots of people complained about the air con but we think it was ok we took the key fob off the key and left it in all day which my have helped. the men behind reception were helpful to us!

The Hotel was exceptionally clean with sheets and towels changed every day.

The Hotel Staff were typical Turkish people - Very Friendly and Very Helpful.

This was our fifth visit to Turkey, but it was only our first visit to this hotel.

The entertainment was very repetetive with groups and singers appearing several times during our 2 week holiday.

The food was very boring and the menu was often repeated over and over again.

If you like rice and meat stews then this is the hotel for you!!!

Do not leave it to long to dine because we often found the food was quite cold towards the end of the meal time sittings.

After the first week we decided to eat out and found the restaraunts outside the hotel to be of a much higher standard.

The air conditioning was little more than a fan built into the bedroom ceiling.

I was often forced to sit on the balcony in the evenings in order to cool off and get my breath.

I never slept with a blanket on during the night as the air conditioning was turned off by the hotel during the night, presumably to save money!!

Also watch out for the three huge dogs that are kept in a cage by the adjoining Aqua Hotel. Their barking can be very disturbing some nights.

The "All Inclusive" System was not well supervised so people from other hotels could often be found sampling the all inclusive food and drink - Free Of Charge!!

So to conclude - Icmeler is a fantastic place for a holiday, but you would be better off going there on a self catering holiday and using the many top quality restaraunts which are very reasonably priced.

Just returned from L'etoile. What a fantastic holiday.

The rooms were very clean and the towels and sheets changed nearly every day. The air conditioning never broke down, but was centrally controlled and could have been cooler. We had a room overlooking the pool but had a lovely view of the sea and shops and bars opposite.

We went all inclusive and the food was excellent. Always a good selection of both hot and cold, something for everyone, we were never hungry. Plenty of drinks available at all times.

The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, always working hard but smiling.

Plenty of sunbeds round the pool and only minutes away the beach, with lots of beds on the waters edge.

The entertainment was ok but there were plenty of bars nearby and The Canal was good for an evening stroll, with small stalls on either side where you could practice your bartering skills. All music stops at midnight so you can always get a good nights sleep.

Must go to Icmeler market on Wednesdays, very entertaining and some good bargains but go early(8am) because it gets busy and very hot.

All in all an excellent holiday.

This is a hotel we will gladly go back to.

Located right by beach, shops and other bars/hotels if you wanted a change of scenery. Couldn't get a better location really.

Staff polite & friendly, do their jobs well.

Food was good, i'd never been all inclusive before so was worried about the food. But a wide variety given & its best just to try a bit of everything (you can always just leave it). By the end of the 2 weeks i got a bit bored of same things though, but I am fussy!

Annoying lady for entertainment, so just went out every night, seems a shame not to have taken advantage of free drinks due to her but she was that bad!! :-(

Hotel excellent! Room Excellent. Although there were only three adults we had four single beds in our room but it could have fitted eight, the room was that big. Three windows one overlooking the sea. Air conditioning worked well. The maid service was excellent as was all the staff at the hotel. Food excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel is being redecorated and to a high standard. Plenty of activities for children (my daughter is 16 1/2 and really enjoyed the pool table, table tennis etc).

The hotel is situated in a very good position.

The only problem we had was the sunbeds. We had to get up every morning at 6.45 for a bed, and I might add that we did stay on our sunbeds from that time on. Sometimes most of the beds had been taken by this time. (Many holiday makers were saving the sunbeds and were not using them until late afternoon, mainly the English)!! I do think the hotel should do something about this. If you cannot get a sunbed the beach is not far away but you do have to pay for your sunbeds and you have to pay for your drinks as well, as again, you cannot take your drinks from the hotel down to the beach which is only 1 minutes away from the hotel.(I might add that the pool area does smell of sewers occasionally!!!)

The only other point I would mention is the fact that the water is not included in your all inclusive holiday. You cannot take the water up to your room you have to buy it!

All the drinks finish at 12:00 pm if you want a drink after this time you have to pay, saying that the resort closes mainly at 12:00 pm also. Cocktails are not included in your all inclusive holiday either!

We had a lovely holiday and we would recommend this hotel as the hotel in itself is excellent. We have been on all inclusive holidays in the past but to the Dominican Republic and basically you do get all inclusive there, from speaking to people who have been all inclusive in Europe this hotel we stayed in was pretty much the normfor Europe.

We got a last minute booking to this hotel in July last year. Very shocked to see how lovely it looked compared to the pics in the book.

When we got in to our room we were possitioned at the back of the hotel. It was early hours and the prayers had begun and we was disturbed by the constant barking of a dog.

Our room location was changed the next day and to our amazement we were put in the rooms which look over the sea (above the restraunt on the end)

I go on Holiday twice a year and have been to Turkey 5 times. This has to be the nicest and cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in.

The food wasnt great although we didn't have breakfast and lunch due to lack of sleep in the night times!

Hotel staff were friuendly although I did find the maids rather ignorant at times. They never knocked on the door!??!

Entertainment was rubbish but hey... your in Turkey... people don't stay in the hotels!!! Get out and explore!

Great holiday and can't wait to be back there in 9 days! yey x x x

I have to say the hotel location is just perfect being right in the heart of Icmeler which is a lovely resort.

Hotel staff were very helpful, although I thought they went out of their way to look after the German clientele first.

Despite other reports on this site the food was lovely - you must try the flatbread which you can watch the chef making.

I won't be visiting Turkey again as I think the greed culture has set in and it's not the cheap place it once was. I got charged £4 for 2 cokes in the resort and the beer is now about £2.50 for a half litre - almost double last year. Having said that I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Icmeler.

We stayed in the Hotel L'Etoile in June 2005. We arrived at 5am after all night travelling to find that we didn't have a room! Not the best start. Though, they sorted out our room, it wasn't to our liking as it wasn't what we asked for. After a while, they sorted out the room but then offered us the suite which we accepted. It was lovely. 3 balconies, 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms and a lounge.

It was really clean and the staff were very friendly.

The meals were great. As we were all inclusive, we could eat at the set times, as much as we wanted! There was a wide variety of food. Turkish, English, salad etc. to suit everyone's needs. Also, we could go to the pool bar at any time and get a drink!

The pool was clean and big, but the entertainment wasn't so good.

It's not the best place for kids as all there is is an annoying disco twice a week and water polo for half an hour!

Hotel food was quite good if you dont mind trying different things to what your used to eating in the uk,saying that it wasnt bad at all and you must try the variety of pudding there lush.

The only thing which was a pain they could do with better entertainment,it gets predictable each day,we had a few drinks in the hotel in the night and then went out to the local bars which were good also the air condition needs a little inproving. We decided on this hotel after reading the reviews just was not for me and my family. Very poor indeed.

Food was repetative and it took a while to get drinks at the bar and food areas.

The hotel was kept clean.

The staff were very friendly.

The location was excellent.

The entertainers were good, however there wasn't enough variety, but this would have been because it was the beginning of the season.

We enjoyed ourselves at the L'Etoile and I would recommend anyone to go there.

Just returned from Icmeler. The hotel was great very clean

The food was excellent plenty of choice and plenty of food for everyone

Rooms towels and sheets were clean and changed most days, once or twice they missed but were changed next day. They were changed 11 times in 14 days Staff were either clearing away glasses crockery or polishing also very pleasant and friendly always eager to help.

Hotel was well located and everything was within walking distance

Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and plenty of chairs both inside and out. Found out you could have towels every day from reception to take to pool and beach on our second last day so if you go to this hotel be sure to ask.

Plenty of bars and entertainment near hotel if you want to go out as entertainment not up to much and not much variety of drinks for being all inclusive but we went for a fly and flop holiday and that’s what we had

Not a lot of Brits but plenty of Germans but soon learnt to behave like them lol.

All in all a very good holiday

We will return

We stayed at the Letoile in Icemeler. Great holiday only one complaint wished the air/con worked a lot better.

Overall, a great place to go to.

food OK, staff good - very helpful - Bedrooms OK but not great - had to change twice, 1st room overlooking the pool, very small - air con not cold enough and too noisy.

2nd room side sea view, OK but dog in marti-la-perla barked all night so not much sleep.
