| said: well we got off to a good start taking off from Bristol on time with first choice only to find we were circling the seven bridge for 30 min's while the captain tried to fix a fault on the plane, this made 40% of people sick.
then we had to land at gatwick so the engineers could fix plane properly which took 2 hours with us sitting on the plane.
after the problem was fixed we proceeded to dalaman arriving at 1.30 am.
we arrived at club sun city at 03.15 only to find that the hotel had overbooked and did not have the 3 rooms we had booked.so after 30 min's we were given a connecting room with extra beds put in for all 7 of us to sleep for the night.
we seen the rep then at 10 am to sort out our rooms this took all day where they tried to get us to move hotels which we, was not interested in doing at all.by the end of the day we had managed to get another one room but the first day of the holiday had been wasted sitting in reception.
day two and we finally got our third room but what a palaver this hotel made of the booking in the first place.
the hotel is located 10 min's walk from the beach and the shops/bars.
inside the hotel you have 2 bars,2 swimming pools,2 restaurants one of them being an Italian al a carte which you have to pay extra for, this also doubles as the snack bar in the day.
there is a gym, sauna and massage centre also.the animation team are truly wonderful making plenty of things for you to do day and night and if you do not want to join in they do not pester you.
there is also a park and hotel run children's club which is great for the little ones.
in fact all the staff from animation team to waiters/barmen are all very friendly and will try to have fun with you when the managers are not watching as they are not really allowed to associate too much with the guests.
the food was good but did tend to be a bit of the same things all the time which consists of mainly chicken or fish dish's for lunch/diner and fried egg or omelette at breakfast.you will not get any bacon or English sausage at all...
the deserts were excellent though and there was a lady cooking pancakes most of the day for a snack.
the snack bar did burgers, hot dogs, chips and pizza.
ice cream was only for 2 hours a day though which was bad for the kids in the heat.
the rooms were very spacious and cleaned most days where the maid also leaves a bottle of water for you.
in the room is a safety deposit box,TV with about 5 English speaking channels including BBC prime,a fridge, air conditioning and tea making equipment.
a little tip the power runs off the room key fob so ask for two keys or stick something into the card slot so the room is cool all the time and the fridge stays on.
night entertainment is by the animation team and they do some good shows and the kids have a mini disco every night.once a week they have a Turkish night with all Turkish food and entertainment.
there is a tennis court and bicycle hire but its way too hot to do these.
the hotel also has its own private beach on the blue lagoon which is a must to visit as its much cooler here.
there are sun beds, large bean bags, food and drink place, toilets, little huts to get out of the sun for a while and canoes and pedloes..
the hotel runs a free bus to and from the beach.
all in all this hotel is great apart from the management and I properly would recommend it.

| said: On arrival first impressions were good, however after a few days it became clear just how bad things actually were, infact anything to do with the all inclusive side of things was a disgrace. Firstly the food did not cater for children at all and unless you liked either Chicken or salad then you would have starved as this seemed to be the only thing that actually seemed edible. The same food was served every Lunch and dinner time every day, day in day out. By day 7 we had had enough of the food and chose to eat out after that, and at least you could get a decent pint outside of the resort.
People expecting to get drunk in the terrace bar then guess again, as it had the worlds slowest barman who would blatantly ignore the fact that you were waiting to be served as 90% of the time he was chatting up women at the end of the bar. You will also not get Effers lager as all they have is Tuborg which is basically flavoured water.
As for the entertainment well basically that is a contradiction in terms, my wife took my daughter to the ampitheatre (should really be called the armpittheatre) to see the show which contained scenes about prostitution as well as other items of a sexual nature, not something you really want your 10 year old daughter seeing.
We did not go their private beach after hearing bad reports about it, spend 3 Lira each and visit the blue lagoon on the decent side, we went twice and loved it.
Ice cream is available for 2 hours a day, but unless you want to queue for half an hour I wouldn't bother.
Be aware that you will not get clean towels or bedding every day, infact they only come round once every 3 days to change those, which most people I spoke to thought was a bit of a disgrace that towels wern't changed daily.
Don't bother trying to get a lounger by the pool, as most have towels on them by 7:30am, and for once it's th Enlish and not the Germans that are guilty of that, but they have probably done that to get there before the Germans :)
Overall I was not impressed with Sun City at all, food and drink were terrible and most people I spoke to agreed, the majority of staff were totally ignorant (with the exception of a few) or spoke no English at all.
My parents also came with us and they had previously been a few years before and loved it, however this time they never and have also sworn never to return to Sun City again, as they said it has really gone downhill since they were last there, they left 2 days before us and by that time we wished we were going home as well. One group flew home after 3 days and even paid for their own flights back to the UK .
Make sure that you keep your receipt for your safe, as when we came to check out they tried telling me that I had not paid for it, they quickly shut up once I produced the receipt.

| said: I booked this Hotel due to the Agents site stating that it was a Family Hotel & lots for children-WRONG, daytime entertainment was for adults or much older children, the so called Kids Club was a waste of time, the evening entertaiment for children consisted of around 30 minutes in the ampitheatre doing the same dances to the same songs every night! As for the food, they do not cater for children in the restaurant at all my 6yr old was living off chips & cucumber, the snack bar wasn't much better so after paying for All Inclusive we ended up having to eat all our meals out. I have been going abroad for years & this is the first time I've complained & the first place I have ever had to get up around 6am to put towels on the sunloungers, I know we call the germans for doing it but if you don't get your towels down very early you will not get a sunbed or a brolly which is a must when you have children! Very noisy late at night/early hours, doors slamming, children running around screaming & shouting so don't expect much sleep. Ice cream 2 hours a day! 12.30 to 1.30 then 6pm to 7pm which is wrong, the queues where huge & not everyone got served!
The Pivate Beach is a joke, very expensive for food & drink which is wrong, if the Hotel was on the beach you wouldn't have to pay for anything! The Hotel itself is clean, very nice & in a great setting but the negatives outway the positives, very disappointed especially for my 6yr old, would not go back there.

| said: been to oludeniz many times but not stayed at club sun city.travelled with thomas cook ,flight ok but transfer was from 1.30pm until about 6pm when we arrived.asked for double bed didnt get one hotel full, infact some people was transfered to the elize hotel.rooms not bad very clean but noisy walls are like paper, people slamming doors at all hours.
food is luke warm and most day same lunch time as evening time.also all those parents out there beware that children cant eat until 7.30pm the snacks finish at 4pm.the icecreams were only free for two hours a day which i thought was a con for fully inclusive.if you like your cuppa in morning i suggest that you take t-bags with you or a small jar of nescafe as coffee was cold and weak and tea tasted like fags.most days we had bread and jam for breakfast then a chip butty for lunch, evenings we went out every night to eat else where.wine is just about bearable.two people were very ill eating the food so make sure you have insurance.i was told that one lady paid hospital bill of £600 and £100 for taxi for her grandaughter.
the weather was brilliant but turkey has got more expensive.ate in the buzz bar which we have done many times but this time the food was cold, took it away to be microwaved then when it came back still cold so the waiter said he would microwave it again i delclined the offer and left with no dinner.

| said: My family stayed in the club sun city for the second time in October for the last two weeks of the season. I have two daughters aged 8 & 13.
The review I left last year (About 6 or 7 before this one) remains in the majority true, as my previous review is very detailed I will only list what has changed since last year so you may read this in conjunction with that review if you wish.
The restaurant has been completely rebuilt, it is vastly improved over last year and now has many more tables under cover and is all on a single level.(Albeit up a steep 9 foot long brickweave ramp or 5 stairs)
The entertainment this year was very very poor, the D.j. was ok but you could forget the rest. The childrens mini disco and dances etc were exactly the same (Rubish) every single night.
Please bear in mind that star ratings are set to & by the standard of the country you are in, Club sun city has ticks in enough boxes to qualify for a Turkish 4 star rating due to having amongst other things, 4 swimming pools, tennis courts, 3 Bars, ampitheatre, disco, fitness equipment, on site shop, barber, hairdresser, turkish baths, decent security etc etc and your room will have a fridge (even though it is an all inclusive hotel) 2 phones, air contitioning, safe, t.v. a sofa and a hairdryer.
However I would say some of the furniture in the rooms is beginning to look a little tired. I would say the hotel is pretty much to the same standard as a Spanish 3 star hotel (Or in my experience an Egyptian 5 star !o)) Dont expect luxury, do expect clean comfortable & adequate.
We all went on the Microlight flights with Fly-South while we were there and had a superb time doing so, I would definatley recommend doing this while you are there (Much safer than the local alternative).
WE had a great chilled out 14 days and enjoyed ourselves however we dont think we will be returning soon as we would like to try something different next year.

| said: Went to this hotel for my son's wedding. Very good hotel and as for the food you are spoilt for choice. Some nights it was a bit repetitive but because of the vaiety you didn't need to have the same thing twice. All the staff are extremely friendly and all speak english. The only complaint I have is that when we first arrived we were put in a family room on the ground floor and were plagued by mosquitos, I was bitten nearly every day until one night I had had enougfh because we spent a solid hour swatting over 50 mozzies. I went to reception and complained and they gave us another room the next day which was on the second floor, we'd already used one can of Raid fly spray in 2 days. The hotel sprayed the room but it didn't make any difference. We found out on the day we moved from this room that they were coming from a false ceiling just out side our door. Apparently the mozzies are a problem in this area but nearly all the shops sell repellants and room sprays and burners. Aprt from that the hotel is great. The hotel has its own private beach on the Blue Lagoon which it says is only for it's own guests but there were a lot of people there who were definately not from our hotel. On the beach thre are plenty of sun beds with big pink cushions filled with polybeads. They do make you quite hot but are really comfy. If you prefer you can get a mattress like the ones on hotel suneds but you have to pay 5 lira for them. It's not really a childrens beach but it's fun if you take some bread to feed the fishes, they will eat out of your hand if you hold on to the bread.

The entertainment staff are great there was a water gym and volleyball on a morning in the pool, also a darts game and table tennis tornament. In the afternoon there was water polo and everyone had fun that played.
The hotel staff are friendly and all of them speak english. I would definately reccomend this hotel to anyone interested in staying in olu deniz.
On a night everything stopped at 12 so that everyone could get a good nights sleep.
Scuba diving is a must, it was a great day and if you dont want to go down you can just go on the boat and snorkle or swim.

| said: Travelled to Sun City from 25/08/07 - 01/09/07.
Hotel in excellent location 2 minutes from main street - lots of shops, bars, restaurants selling the usual holiday souvenirs, about 5 to the beach. Hotels private beach and the famous blue lagoon about 10 minutes by bus.
Cleanliness - rooms well kept by the cleaners, no problems there. Gardens well maintained lots of plants and flowers. However I felt though around the pool areas this wasnt the case rubbish and cups from the previous day were often lying around.
Staff - bar and restaurant staff seemed unhappy maybe because most of them have been working since the start of the season, but even so, we're the paying guests and could have been friendlier. They were reluctant to chat with you, apart from the chef who fries the pasta in the restaurant very friendly, funny - a top man!!! Hotel was very busy, but you never had to wait too long at the bar to be served.
Sunbeds always an area for concern, the letter you get when you arrive at the hotel says you must not put towels down before 9 am or they will be removed. Fair enough I thought, first come first served without getting up at 4 am to beat the Germans!! First morning went to breakfast at 7.45 not a bed to be seen by the pool, the hotel dont enforce this, so if you want to get up early to bag your bed then go for it!!
Beer, Vodka, Gin, Brandy, Raki are the only alcoholic drinks on the all inclusive package, anything else is charged for. Soft drinks and water included
Food - freshly fried eggs, omelette, boiled eggs, salad, fruit, pastries - not your full English!! You can get that at the restaurants in the main street for 9 Turkish Lira. Lunch & dinner, plentiful normally 3/4 meat dishes, vegetables, the inevitable pasta, chips and salad. Fruit and pastries for dessert. Afternoon tea available with cakes and tea/coffee. Soup from 11 - midnight if you wanted it.
Safety deposit boxes available for 35 Turkish Lira per week. Late checkout very hit and miss, some people were allowed some weren't - the charge was 25 Turkish. We were the unlucky ones not able to keep our room, but there is a left luggage area for your cases and a shower room, not ideal but at least you could get your last days sunbathing in.
Insects/mosquitos - you will need to get repellent, my wife was lucky, but I had 20 odd marks on me over a week.

Location good not too noisy at night. Fantastic value, we had a family room consisting of a room with bunk beds and balcony and bathroom and an adjoining room with a double bed, and we were just a couple!!
Entertainment a bit lacking but we tended to go out into the village every night Been to this hotel three times now, the last two half board but the food was much better than then, perhaps because it is now AI.

| said: The rooms at the hotel are very basic and was not entirely satisfied when I arrived but as my fortnight went by I grew to just like it.
The all inclusive at the restaurant is ok if you like eating the same thing all the time!!!
Most days we wentout for breakfast to the nearby restaurants and if you like your full english breakfasts pepinos is the place to go.
Some days we did stay for breakfast in the hotel they offer a range of cereals and breads.
The hotel snack bar has the same menu every day hamburgers cheeseburgers hot dogs chips and spaghetti.
Ice crean is only available from 12-2pm,
there were a few nights in the restaurant where the food was lovely but others where nobody liked anything.
The best restaurant in Olu Deniz is the joy bar which offers some great value meals and is also a karaoke bar for a fun night out.
If you are lookingfor nightclubs head to hisaronu.
restaurants and bars in Hisaronu are much cheaper with better shopping facilities.
Entertainment staff didnt really do much just wonder around the pool.
Hotel location 2mins from beach. The famous blue lagoon is approx 10mins walk but there is a free bus service it gets really very hot down there and you have to pay to get in.
Main bar staff are lovely rooney loves kids and was always holding my 4month old baby.

| said: We stayed at the Sun City for the last two weeks of October and were among the last guests to stay there in 2006. We have 2 daughters aged 12 and 7 years old.
The food was excellent, breakfast included a choice of about a dozen cereals, several breads, jams, honey, yogurt, cheeses, fruit and every morning a cook would be cooking eggs and pancakes and another would be busy making omblets or eggy bread etc, to go with ther you could get hard boiled eggs, sliced tomato's with cheese tops or sliced sausages in a tomato sauce. Tea, coffee and a choice of 4 squashes were always available at breakfast. A few people were moaning about there being no "full English" breakfast if you really must have a big fry up you do have a choice, go for a short walk to one of the resort restaurants and get one for about £3 or go to Great Yarmouth instead where getting a full English is standard, unfortunately so is the English weather and prices.
Coffee and cake served late morning was available and very nice.
Lunch was another buffet with a huge choice of salads and cold meats and cheeses, and normally three different hot meals you could pick and mix from to suit.
The one thing I wasn't wild about was the snack bar (I should admit though that I dont do burgers etc) My kids loved it though that may well be down to the fact they rarely get them when I am about, and here they were along with turkish pizza, chips, hot dogs and pasta available for 6 hours a day on demand without having to ask Dad.
The ice creams were only available from 12 till 2pm and were walls scoop ice creams in a cone with no more than two choices at any one time normally vanilla and either chocolate or strawberry.
Dinner was once again a big choice of salads, meats, cheeses, and sauces beautifully displayed to compliment the salads. The hot food had at least 3 or 4 options plus vegetables to complement. Every night there was a cook busy making turkish pizzas and flat bread from scratch which tasted wonderful as well as being fascinating to watch. Some nights the cooks barbecued fish and meats and we had kebab meats and fish kebabs all of which were great. We tried everything while we were there and can honestly say ther wasn't anything unpalletable during out fortnight. My children LOVED the deserts and had to be told not to make pigs of themselves every night. It does get a little repetitive after a fortnight (But so does the menu at home if you bother to analyse it) My wife thoroughly enjoyed leaving all the cooking and cleaning of dishes to someone else for a change.
I didn't try the soup served between 11 and midnight but I am sure it was just as good as the soup served at dinner and absolutley fine if you need to eat that late at night.
The drinks on the all inclusive were brandy, vodka, gin, raki, beer, red & white wine, coffee and mixers (which were branded coke & 7up etc) if you wanted anything else it would be charged to your room ready for you to pay at the end of your holiday. My wife mainly had brandy & coffee and I had brandy & coke. Because it is an all inclusive the drinks are poured out of the bottle not to any recognisable measure, it really depended on the mood of the person serving you. I had to quietly ask one of the barmen to reduce the proportion of brandy to coke ( I cant belive I said that) but I didn't want to be falling over before sunset ! This was the first time in my life I have had to make that particular request.
The hotel was only about 1/3 capacity while we were there so we had the undivided attention of all staff on site, the barstaff in the terace bar kept banging a bell when they passed it to try and attract more customers !. In fairness I would imagine that it could take time to be served if the hotel was full, if they are full when you go. When you get served just double your order to save going up a second time thus halving your waiting time !-)
The hotel was spotless with the room cleaned most days and the bin emptied every day. The cleaners arrange the towels on your beds to resemble flowers or butterflies once a week which is a lovely touch.
The location is excellent, only a 100 mtrs from the main street and 350 mtrs from the beach.
The entertainment team tried hard to please however I have to agree with previous reports that say they should vary the daytime activitys for more variety and the report that says he talks like Frank is VERY accurate and very funny. My kids adored the entertainment team because that's the age group they were aiming at. Painfully embarassing for an adult audience but great for kids. We did laugh at a lot of what they did but mainly because it was so predictable.
We stayed in a family room which was a huge Kingsize bed and a bunk bed. There is very little cupboard space and we had to put our clothes on the sofa etc to be able to find what we needed. The mosquitos were merciless and all the sprays etc we took didn't work hardly at all, we decided that the little blighters were living in the void above the slatted ceiling in the bathroom, so we kept the door shut to the bathroom and that did seem to cut down the feeding frenzy. There is a fridge in the room and a tv but no tea/coffee facilitys. We took a travel kettle and were glad we did, another guest took a travel dvd player and some films so when it rained she could plug it into the tv and her children could be entertained. Incidentally when it did rain they showed films on the massive tv in the room behind the snack bar. Pirates of the caribean was in the cinema at home at the same time as they showed it on the hotel big screen.
We had a great hoilday here and met other familys with children of similar ages which always helps. (If your reading this Micheal/Kirsty/Kelsey & Megan we hope you all got home ok and will see you there again next year.)
The first three days we were there it rained non stop just like a rainforest. The locals said it was the worst weather seen in resort for 30 years and the infrasructure of the hotel certainly was tested. The brickweave walkways all flooded because of their design and they had to constantly pump water away from the lower areas of the hotel, before we left they had actually broken some of the bricks on the paths to let the water drain out. We had many power cuts while we were there but none for more than a couple of minites, it was only in the second week we found out the reason. The club Sun City has its own generator which automatically cuts in on a power out.
One night the resort was in darkness for three half hour periods yet we had light's music drinks and entertainment ! I'm sure it was a great comfort to eveyone else in the resort to hear our entertainment team going for it full blast while they were all in the dark and quiet. We heard some real horror storys from people in other hotels in resort and further up in Hisaronu, enough for us to realise we were very well off where we were.
If you want to go on any trips book them in the town and not with your holiday rep as they are half the price or less. Trips in Turkey are fantastic value for money as they almost always include lunch. We went on the Olu Deniz boat trip the 12 Island boat trip and a jeep safari for the four of us all 3 trips all with dinner cost less than £100. Fantastic value when compared with the canaries.
And in case you were wondering, we booked to go back to the same hotel next year within a fortnight of getting home. Cant wait.

| said: We stayed at Sun City for 1 week early September in quite a large group age range from todler to pensioner and found something that pleased everybody.
We arrived in the early hours of the morning and apart from what seemed a very long 2 hour transfer, check in at the hotel was quick and easy.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
We found the hotel and its ground extremly well maintained and clean.
We found that there were always sunbeds available but think this is due to hotel not being full.
Food was always hot and we could always find something to suit our tastes even for my very fussy husband. Tables were always available in the restaurant at any time.
Dont expect a full english breakfast, although lots of other choices.
The hotel is 2 minutes walk from the resort centre and 5 mins from the beach, although from our rooms we did not here any noise from the resort bars.
The private beach is quite small and we only stayed for 1 hour and looks nicer in the picture than what it actually is.
Most of the staff were freindly and obliging, just seemed to be the bar staff in the day that were very slow and seemed to serve women first.
The entertainment team worked hard to try and get guests to join in but didnt pester you if you said no,
I feel they could have varied the day time activities as it was the same games everyday.
Overall we all had a great time with clear hot days everyday.
Some of our party have already said they will go back next year.

We enjoyed the food so did the kids always something different. never had a problem with the bar staff.
Room itself was ok kept clean storage is a problem especially for 4 people for 2 weeks.
Entertainment team work very hard and seem to enjoy there job! Location was good about 2 minute walk to resort and 5 minute walk to beach.

| said: Just returned from Sun City after two great weeks.
Beautiful hotel in a great location with some fantastic views.
Rooms were very clean and of a fair size with everything you need. Towels and bedding changed regularly.
All staff are very helpful and friendly and work very hard to keep the hotel grounds spotless. As mentioned before in another review, majority of bar staff give great service besides one or two who are miserable and do take their time to serve you (bearing in mind that they do work approx 14 hour shifts). Great service, hairdryer in room broke so reported it to reception only to find the maintenance man had only got to my room before I did and fixed it in a matter of minutes.
Food great with lots of variety.
Entertainment staff work very hard with activities throughout the day although evening entertainment not much.
The private beach is very nice with the use of pedalos and canoes and whilst you are out on the water, huge turtles keep popping there heads out of the water.
I have only one moan, which is of course the sun beds. Need I say more. We had a great holiday and would definitely return to Sun City.

| said: Our first time in Turkey! We arrived at the Sun City, very tired, about 1.30am, after a stressful day's travel on the first day of a major terror alert and severe baggage restrictions.
A porter took us to our room which was in Block 7, close to the pool and snack bar, and with a garden-facing balcony. It was quite noisy until about 2am with teenagers hanging around the kids play area just near our room.
Although there were only three of us, our room could have slept five - we had two single beds pushed together into a lovely big double (all to myself), bunk beds for the kids, and a sofa-bed under the window which we used to put all our bits and bobs on, because there wasn't enough storage.
The wardrobes were tiny, with a total of about twelve hangers for three of us for 2 week's clothes, and the drawers were very small and not deep enough to put in more than a few items of underwear.
The air-conditioning was lovely, although rather noisy. I turned it down when we went to bed, and left it on full-blast the rest of the time.
I had to have a new safe twice during our 2 weeks. The first time, the bolts wouldn't line up properly, and the second time there was an electrical fault. On both occasions the problems was sorted within 20 minutes by a charming chap who didn't speak a word of English but obviously knew his technical stuff! The safe cost £2 per day.
We got clean towels every 3 days; the sheets on my bed and the bottom bunk were straightened every day, but the top bunk was only straightened once during the 2 weeks and that was when the sheets were changed halfway through the holiday.
You do have to be up very early for sunbeds, 6.30am was the best time to get a half-decent choice. The management actually decided to enforce the 9am rule one morning, and removed all towels left unattended, this helped slightly, after that you could have a lie-in until about 7am but then people would just put their towels down, take it in turns to sit on them until after 9am and then bob off to the beach/market/back to bed until the afternoon...
There just aren't enough sunbeds for even half the people there, and not enough tables and chairs in the restaurant, nor in the terrace bar or pool bar. We spent most of the 2 weeks rushing to be first at the pool/restaurant/bar just to make sure of a bed/table/chair.
The bar staff are VERY slow, no matter how many people were waiting, it was always more important that they mopped the floor, wiped the surfaces, washed some glasses, answered their mobile phones etc...
The all-inclusive drinks are quite limited compared to other AI's we've been to, you could have vodka, gin, brandy or raki (none of which appealed to me); beer (Tuborg - gassy and not as nice as Efes), red and white wine (okay with lemonade) and the usual choice of soft drinks; Coke, Fanta, fruit juice (Tang), and water.
The food was always freshly prepared and very well presented, the hot stuff was hot, and the cold stuff was cold, and none of us were ill, but after 4-5 days you've seen it all and tried it all.
My plate looked pretty much the same every day: big pile of salad, grilled meat/carvery meat and rice or couscous or chips. There was always soup and bread and usually some kind of meat stew and loads of salad and various dressings.
The desserts were a bit on and off, sometimes really nice cakes, meringues etc and sometimes really sweet icky pastry things which weren't so nice, but there was always fruit.
Breakfasts were nicer than I expected - lots of fruits and yogurts and honey and jam; cereals, pancakes, omelettes, fried eggs, boiled eggs, tomatoes and plenty of bread. The only problem was although breakfast was supposed to start at 7.30, the hot food wasn't available until well after 8am, which could be a problem if you're on an early excursion and want a substantial meal to start the day.
You can get tea/coffee and cake and biscuits at 4pm each day, and ice cream is available from the snack bar (from very grumpy staff) between 12 and 2pm, which was a bit restricting, most AI places we've been to have had ice cream for most of the day, and at the Sun City it meant that there was always a big queue for it and kids were eating their ice cream and then not wanting their lunch. The snack bar had rather limited snacks (chips, burgers, pasta, Turkish pizza) but was open from 12-5pm.
The hotel also does "late night snacks" at around 11pm which was usually soup, bread and maybe pasta or something similar. In my opinion, a big tray of kebab meat and chips would have been better appreciated at that time of night after plenty of drinks!!!
The pool was lovely, the weather was really hot (high 40s, touching 50s some days) and the pool was the only relief from the heat. The adult-only Oasis pool looked nice (didn't actually try it) and the indoor pool was very deep and VERY cold, and very welcome in the heat!
The area around the main pool is extremely slippery. There are notices asking people to beware, but how many small children read notices? I saw many nasty slips and bumps.
The drain around the main pool became rather dirty and smelly while we were there, the pool was cleaned every night but I didn't see anyone cleaning the drain.
The entertainment was OK, the usual cheesey stuff you get in most family hotels, but the entertainment team were what made it special. They worked really hard, all day and night. There would be 3-4 games/activities in the morning (darts, kids water-polo, gym, team game in the pool) and another 3-4 in the afternoon (adult water-polo, water-gym, and some strange game made up with limited resources in the kids play area).
The evening entertainment would usually take place in the amphitheatre and/or terrace bar upstairs, with a kids disco followed by the main show (sometimes professional, sometimes the hotel's own show) or a quiz or bingo.
The entertainment team were fantastic, although Erkhan "the boss" sounds like "Franc" from "Father Of The Bride" ( "Hallo der gast - don't forget tonight's entament in da amphitar and a ruffle in the turasse bar... don't forget you can get shittle bus to de beach...")
Sun City was probably the best entertainment we have had for the budget. If you see Taner, tell him "hi" from us :)
My son won the darts match one day and got a free cocktail and a prize from Macri jewellers. Another night we won the quiz and got a bottle of "champagne", a free family photo from Tweety the photo man, and another prize from Macri jewellers!
The only problem with the entertainment was the same songs being played all day and night (Shakira, Sean Paul and The Pussycat Dolls) but towards the end of our stay some new guests arrived with some new CDs for D.J. (D.J.'s name in Turkish is a rude word in English, so everyone just calls him "D.J.")
The hotel has its own private section on the famous Blue Lagoon with a free shuttle bus and fruit juice and sandwiches available. A lot of people preferred it to the hustle and bustle of the hotel.
The main resort beach (shingle - hard on the feet) is only a short stroll away and the main street with all the shops and bars is just a minute away.
I twisted my ankle very badly in the hotel on our 5th night because there were no lights and no handrail on the set of stairs going down from the terrace bar to the amphitheatre. The next night (after it had been brought to management's attention) we noticed the lights were on and a handrail had been fitted.
It did kind of spoil my holiday a bit, because it was swollen and sore and I couldn't take part in all the activities, but everyone was very helpful, the girl at the bar always brought me an icepack every evening and the entertainment team were always coming over for a natter.
In our brochure it said the Turkish bath was part of the all-inclusive, but this only applies to specific appointment times which are never available anyway! Lots of people paid for the Turkish bath and all said it was lovely.
On our last day we were unable to keep our room for a few extra hours and we were told we could use the showers in the Turkish bath/health centre. The showers in there are absolutely horrid!!! It was red hot with no air-conditioning, a nasty drains-type smell and hundreds of little flies everywhere which fly all over you while you're in the shower. I felt dirtier when I came out of there than before I went in! My daughter wouldn't even take her flips flops off in there, never mind have a shower before we went home.
Some people managed to keep their room until 4 or 5pm for about £10 but our room had already been allocated to new guests arriving at 2pm, so we had to sit on our valuables all day (until the coach came at 7pm) and go home all sweaty and nasty because of the poor shower facilities.
Looking at my review, it sounds really bad, but we actually had a really great time, mainly because of the entertainment team and lots of good people we met.
I don't think I'd go back, although I know my daughter would go back tomorrow (beware if you're taking teenage girls; Turkish lads are devilishly charming young men and you will not be able to get your daughter onto the coach back to the airport after 2 weeks in the company of these gentlemen...)
The weather was too hot for me in August, and Olu Deniz is small enough for me to have seen it all now.
Sun City is nice, in UK brochures it is sold as 4-stars but we have stayed in better 3-star places in Spain/Canaries, however the area is lovely, the gardens around the hotel are beautiful and there are not many places you can lie back and watch paragliders sailing overhead from the huge mountain at the side of the hotel.
The hotel just needs to tighten up on few minor issues, if there were more sunbeds, a queueing system for mealtimes, more variety in the food, and bar staff who actually serve drinks instead of chatting and faffing around, it would be perfect!

| said: Just returned from a two week break in Sun City and am I glad to be home. I have to agree with all the last comments about this place and to add a few more.
We arrived after a 6 hour delay only to be told no drinks were available, then when we finally got to our room, it was hidden round the back with no view of the pool which is what we asked for.
The food was rubbish, so was the entertainment, and if it wasn't for the fact we only slept at the place I would have gone mad.
In the end this all inclusive cost us alot more money because we had to eat out all the time.
I would just like to say I will never go back to Sun City ever again and will advise all my friends not to also.

| said: Cleanliness - Hotel and staff efforts are excellent for both rooms and amenities (guests could help to further inprove though). We had pool view rooms in block 13 and these were (in my opinion) the best located on site; ace views / well presented / secure / well insulated against outside noise (if you want some peace!) (***note:- on departure day we arranged a courtesy room for late pick up, which was a ground floor room in block 5 and nowhere near as good as block 13 - courtesy room cost £20 until 7pm).
Swimming Pools - great; shame the customers could not find it in themselves to respect the 'adults only' intent for the oasis pool. Sun beds remain a problem; hotel did try to enforce 'no towels before 9' with limited success, but the Brits do tend to have a very German mentality, and simply must reserve as many beds as possible!
Indoor pool too small to swim / deep / nice and cool!
Tennis - good / chargeable (15 lira per hour inc racket hire)
Table tennis - free / need to purchase your own bats from shop.
Snooker (pool) - free / deposit for cues payable.
Health Suite - not used / looks OK.
Food - generally excellent selection for all tastes; obviously gets a little familiar after 14 days. Forget toast at breakfast unless you don't want it until lunch!. Restaurant set up good, although no effective air-con so gets a bit hot. We were in a party of 9 and never had much of a wait for a table to be prepared, and service staff were great.
Drink - local beer + spirit OK (drinkable), but beer purchased at loval bars not much better. Availability of glasses (instead of plastic cups) was an occassional gripe, but this i think was more down to poor preparation and attitude from bar staff (mostly ignorant to customers, more interested in chatting to the girls who are too young to drink anyway!); the hotel would do well to sort this out as appears to be a general black mark against what is othewise a great place.
Location - Fantastic, mountains behind, set in quiet street but only 100 mtrs to main bar area / 300 metres to main beach. Private beach is well worth a visit, set other side of blue lagoon approx. 3 kms away (free shuttle bus from hotel, free sunbeds, free juice and sandwich / free pedaloes / bar + restaurant available).
Blue lagoon is short walk from hotel, entry 2.5 lira, sea is calm (almost lake-like) and beautiful. Main beach is shingle, steep shelf in sea but very warm.
Overall Olu Deniz is a beautiful place.
Staff - overall excellent / bar staff need to be sacked + replaced!
Entertainment - in-house team work very hard and long and do their very best (honest!), so good fun generally but gets a bit monotonous and very predictable. Occassional professional entertainment was very good (synchronised swimming / break dancing).
Trips - Jeep safari is unmissable and excellent value / island boat trip also excellent (save money be booking off-site,; we used 'bloody gorgeous' amongst the many touting for your money. ! of party did the tandem paragliding and says it is awesome!
General - Excellent holiday via First Choice / transfers and flights excellent and on time, despote being in the thick of the terrorism scare! Dalaman new airport is a revelation vs last years meat market!
Summary - Fantasic holiday / fantastic resort / fantastic hotel; get booked now!

| said: On arrival we were very impressed. Our luggage was taken to our room for us by one of the staff with a trolly. The rooms were set in small blokes as opposed to a large hotel.
Room was very nice and was relieved that it was not a basement one as had heard bad things about these. Hotel was always clean, staff always round the pool clearing up.But be warned that the area round the pool is very slippy...saw quite a few fall over.
The food was really nice..lots of really tender meat and loads of choice of salad but as always by the end it does get a bit repetative. Wine and squash was on tap in the dining room with a small bar in the corner for other drinks.
Drinks were a bit limited..only gin, vodka, brandy and raki as well as wine and beer. The white wine was nice but the red was like vinegar...yukkk!!!!....I drank gin and tonic and wine...both were nice and very strong.
Entertainment was cheesy but a laugh...they tried really hard, bless them. Most of the staff were really friendly but as had been said before the bar staff are so slow and do tend to ignore you...don't know why because when they do serve you they are really nice. Location of the hotel is really good, only 5 Min's from the town centre.

| said: The location of this hotel is excellent, being very close to the main shopping, restaurants and bars. The accommodation surroundings are lovely with lots of trees and plants.
The entertainment team worked their socks off and there was always something that you could participate in should you wish to.
The food - although there was a wide choice and it was very tasty, did get a bit monotonous because it was all quite similar to the previous evenings, and we did eat out a couple of times. Plus, if you want to get a big cooked breakfast you have to go out of the hotel too.
Sun beds were a problem and as someone mentioned earlier, although the hotel had a sign up saying no towels before 9am, no one enforced it, so be prepared to get up early.
There are no cocktails free on this all inclusive although there was a 50% off night which we took full advantage of. The are four locally produced spirits available and the vodka did taste a bit odd and was quite weak. In fact you could probably drink them all night and not feel much different.
The pool area is the only area where you can sunbathe and relax as there are no grassy areas and it can seem a bit claustrophobic. Also at times it did seem as if there were too many people for the facilities available.
Although I did enjoy this holiday and there were some positive points, I would not say that this was the best All Inclusive package that I have been on and do not think that I would return.
However, all that said, just because it wasn't the type of hotel for me, does not necessarily mean that you won't enjoy it. If you like accommodation with 98% of holidaymakers being families with children and teenagers, then this would be the place for you. Myself, I prefer a hotel that has a more even percentage of families, groups, couples, and older people.

Yes we could have found things to moan about if we had looked hard enough, the only critisism we had was with the bar service and staff who were without exception the slowest and most disinterested I have ever come accross.
In addition the all inclusive local brands of spirits only covered raki, gin, brandy and vodka. Moan over. We would definatley return.

| said: We simply love Sun City – great, hard working, friendly staff, nice and large pool, clean all over, very beautiful area and good, spacious rooms.
Many things have been written in the previous reviews which we will not repeat - we will just add a few comments.
In the restaurant – with plenty of selections of Turkish food for all meals (they are very good at varying the food from day to day)– you help yourself with water, juice and wine – nice and easy. If you need drinks, beer or soda, you find bar in the restaurant.
Sun beds – at nine o’clock you can still find vacant sun beds.
Bar - you have to wait for your turn and we usually were served right away, but when the hard working bar staff were very busy we waited maximum a couple of minutes for our drinks.
Diving in Ölüdeniz is just great. We did not manage to see all the different sites, but there were great caves and “swim troughs” for the experienced diver, and we cannot wait to go back to see the rest. We dived with Dive Med from Ölüdeniz. Great fun and only a maximum of 12 passengers all together plus great staff (including 3 to 4 dive masters) on the large, former sail boat.

The hotel is set in a lovely location sort of apartments dotted around the very well maintained gardens the room we received was very spacious and spotless.
The food was well presented and a lot of choice although it was nice to get out and eat elsewhere.
The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The entertainment was very much the same as last year and it did get alittle boring the biggest down side to it all is the sun beds!!!!!!. I found my self doing something I vowed I would not do and that was getting up at any time between 6 30am and 7 00am. You couldn't go back to bed even, as some one would just nick your beds. I suppose the answer would be the hotel police it better and us English stop being greedy and take two beds per family.
Overall a very good holiday and would go back again in a few years time

The rooms were basic but kept clean by hard working staff. The facilties are really good.
Food is buffet style and can get a bit repetitive after a while but even my fussy son found something to eat each day.
Previous reviews referred to poor bar service but we had no problem whilst we were there.
Trying to get a sun bed was very problematic as have to get up very early. Sign by pool says should not be reserved before 9am but no-one takes any notice and it is not policed by hotel - one morning people were reserving them at 2.30 in morning!!!!
Piece of advice if on a late flight home then pre-book late room as no courtesty room available have to get ready in Turkish bath!
The entertainment team work very hard and at times are very amusing.
I would recommend this hotel for a great family holiday.

| said: We had an excellent holiday at Sun City. I couldnt really fault the Hotel for cleanliness. The food was fine. Ok it wasn't always piping hot but then again it was self service buffet style. I am a bit of fussy eater but there was always something that i was happy to eat. Yes it would have been nice to have an alternative to chips. One of the tables next to where we often sat for our evening meal was always reserved. We asked the waiter who it was reserved for and he replied "The boss and his friends" we noticed that both the manager and his friends ate exactly the same food as was given to all the guests so the food couldn't have been that bad.
The location of the Hotel? What more could you want you had the back drop of the mountains behind you and when you sat within the complex you would not have been able to tell you were less than 5 minutes to the resort centre and the beach.
If you wanted to go to the private beach a courtesy bus took you there for free where the sun beds and shades were also free, Yes you could only have juice and sandwiches free on the beach.
For the main part the staff were friendly and helpful except for behind the bar. The short lad with spiky hair seemed to take being miserable to an entirely new level.
The entertainment was mainly by the hotels animation team who did their best. There were shows from outside professional entertainers and these were on the whole very good.
The sunbeds. No one took a blind bit of notice of the 9.00am curfew so if you wanted to find a sunbed you had to get up early.
The hotel was allegedly full in our second week and I still found that 7.30 am was early enough to just about allow you to select any plot you required. One word of warning we were in a new block on the ground floor and the back door isn't always locked when you think it is.
After arriving in the early hours of the morning and then getting up for breakfast upon our return we found our room had been entered and my wallet stolen. As for getting a courtesy room forget it I didn't know of one person who got one.
There were plenty of older teenagers for our 16 year old children to make friends with and they thoroughly enjoyed their holiday. All in all it was an excellent holiday and
I would definitely return providing the price was right.

The one disappointment we had was breakfast, as we all like full English and this did not happen. Having said that all the food was very nice and we adjusted. The tea and coffee was grotty, from the bar as it was always served in plastic cups.
The location was good a nice stroll to the town centre or beach.

Can only say that we came up trumps with this hotel.
Cleanliness was second to none staff came in every day to clean room and make beds, any towels that were used we placed in the bath and they left clean towels. sheets were changed every 2/3 days.
Around the pool you had to get beds by 8am to ensure getting a place even though there is a sign saying no towels on beds before 9am.
Pool was great but if there are none swimmers you have to keep a watch on them as our 7 year old could not reach floor in shallow end.
Small pool for children can get crowded
Entertainment staff worked very hard to keep both children and adults happy with pool games, darts etc
Restaurant was very clean and always well stocked with a variety of food although could get busy on evening and we had to wait forr table a couple of times.
Would recomend if you are booking to ask for a upper floor room with a garden view as basement rooms were very dark and seeme to attract mozzis. Rooms with a view of the pool very very near to the nightly entertainment and although it finnished by 1am I would of thought you could get early night if required.
Evening entertainment staff worked very hard but although kids loved most of the shows they were very low budget.
Only gripe about staff were that barstaff were not the quickest and were prone to inoring on occasions.
Overall we would recommend this hotel and have no problems revisiting.

Everything you read about the sunbeds is true, against my own beliefs I found myself getting up early to secure a spot by the pool, this is particularly frustrating as there is ample room for more beds around the pool. This is the only negative thing about the hotel, the staff, grounds and food are all great - the hotel is kept spotless.
Breakfast could be better but its typically Turkish.
We didn't watch the evening entertainment but did join in during the day - Oscar is a good guy who the kids love but at over 6ft tall you don't wanna come up against him in water polo.
Hotel location is great
The only thing which spoilt my holiday was watching the behaviour of my fellow Brits who believed that as they were AI they had to start on the Vodka at 10.00am - a young boy in our hotel was actually assaulted by a member of a large party who wrongly accused him of bullying his 7yr old son - To witness such behaviour from an 'adult' was shocking - I hope this man was pleased with himself - It didn't make him look any bigger which is a pity as he was only bout 5'4

Staff are all very pleasant and keep the complex very clean. Access is limited to the upstairs bar for buggies.
The entertainment is good during the day with games in and around the pool but if you want a holiday were your children are entertained all day this is not for you.
The night time entertainment was OK but it would of been nice to see a few more outside acts. But the entertainment staff themselves were all wonderful people.
The food was very good although breakfast was a little basic the honey more than made up for that.
Yes you do have to get up early for the sunbeds but we never had a problem getting them.
Although all inclusive we never had any problems getting served drinks even the children.
If going to book a trip or have a Turkish bath (which is a must) go and see Ahmet (to the left of bloody gorgeous).
Private beach is fine if you like beaches the pedalo's and canoe's are free to use and very good.

| said: We visited this hotel in May Bank holiday week and the hotel was full. Getting a sun bed around the pool meant getting up very early (everybody seemd to ignore the "no towels on sub beds before 9am" rule!). The pool area was very full every day with little space between the beds.
The hotel is a good standard but we would describe this hotel as a 3+ star not 4.
Rooms are kept clean but the towels and bed linen are only changed every three days.
Staff are extremely friendly and very helpful.
Entertainment staff have a go but don't expect too much. the sketch show one night was not family friendly so beware.
Food was good, plentiful with lots of variety. Dine early or late if you want to eat outside (which is the only place to be when it's hot as there is no air conditioning inside).
Our kids(9 and 12) loved the hotel, made lots of friends and they were very safe in the complex so we did not see very much of them all week.
If you go on a night flight don't expect a courtesy room especially during school holidays.
Overall a great holiday and was value for money this year although seems to have gone up in price considerably for 2007?

There was no entertainment at all on for our first 3 days they till I complained on our 3rd night they did put a quiz on and that was it the next night they put bingo on.
Our kiddies aged 7yrs and 3yrs were so bored on a night on our 5th night they put a kiddies disco on.
We would visit this hotel again the rep stated that it had just opened on the 1st May the day we arrived but that’s no excuse everything should off been up and running
Our kiddies lived off the snack bar which was open 12am till 5.30pm Ice creams were only on I hour per day which was silly really.
We did however have a lovely time and the entertainment lad did do his best after we complained about things.
What we didn’t agree with was given our small kiddies glass beaker for drinks around the pool side and also in restaurant. The food for adults was lovely but no kiddies menu at all they was midnight soup on which was nice.
This hasn’t put us off going again just in a later month when everything is sorted out.
But we paid nearly £2000 for the 6 off us to go here so we feel it wasn’t worth it at all
All our children did everyday day in day out was play on the swings because there wasn’t anything else to amuse them

The hotel was very clean and rooms were always kept neat and tidy by the cleaners.
The food was nice but got a bit repetitive but it was all very tasty, (especially puddings)
When we arrived it was midnight so we couldn't see the scenery but wen we woke up and stepped onto the balcony we were amazed by the beautiful scenery surrounding us.
The staff in the dining area were very pleasent and were quick to clean your table and take used plates.
The night entertainment was good with competitions and bingo!!! It was very fun and my dad won a free Turkish shave!
I'd love to come again it was my favourite holiday

| said: Just returned form 2 weeks at the Sun City Holiday Village.
Had a great time.
We thought the food was fabulous with loads of selections with very little repetition during the fortnight.
We got allocated a High Floor Room with Pool View (As requested) although the view was a little obscured by a large palm tree in front of the balcony. The room itself (Room 915) was quite basic but clean. The beds were a little uncomfortable with one flat pillow on each single bed. Our Son had the "sofa" bed but was more uncomfortable than our ones!!. The rooms were cleaned daily and sheets changed around every 3 days. The bathroom had seen slightly better days with the bath panel coming off and ceiling's plastic panelling a bit untidy.
This was our second trip to Turkey (Turgutreis on a B&B basis last year) and our first trip on AI.
We personally found AI so much better (Works out fine as long as the food etc is OK which proved beneficial at Sun City) than finding restaurants each day. We noticed the prices for eating out a lot more expensive than last year in Turgutreis when passing the price boards at the resort.
I would say the largest majority of the staff were excellent and most helpful and friendly towards us although one or two (The man behind the Burger Snack Bar for example) to be a bit grumpy at times.
We arrived in the early hours of Tuesday morning (10th October) and found the reception and porter staff very helpful.
After a few hours sleep we went to the usual Greeting Party with the Rep in good form (Still trying the usual hard sell though on trips etc) and also had the experience of coming to the resort during a torrential downpour.
The weather thankfully picked up after this and we found the 2 weeks to be excellent (Ave. 78f over the 2 weeks) with only a couple of cloudy days. The mornings and evenings were considerably more colder than anticipated.
I heard people saying that this was the coldest temperatures in a few years for this time in October.
We found the food excellent during the 2 weeks with the only annoyance being that the food was never hot but instead more "luke warm".
The bread and cutlery frequently ran out and found that sometimes the queue for the one "toaster" a bit annoying. It didn't toast it very well either.
We normally ended up having the omellettes when on and fried eggs with pancakes on other days. The annoying thing here was you constantly had to ask for the eggs to be turned over and cooked on the other side as they usually lay on a plate above the grill so therefore were quite cold. We also asked for the omellettes to be cooked a lot more as they were otherwise very "runny". I can see that this being put down to our our preferential taste so can't really say this is a negative thing.
The Snack Bar burgers, hot dogs and chips from noon till 5pm were pretty basic and sometimes not very hot either. They seemed to grill a load of burgers and then take them from the top to put on your roll. The turkish pizza and pasta were the same as they were only heated over a small flame. The ice cream's were nice on the hot days and were provided up to 3pm.
The Lunches were good (Chicken kebabs etc) from 1pm with Tea, Coffee and Cakes (Some of the biscuits tasted like they had been left out a while) around the 4pm mark. The Tea and Coffee did run out quite a few times and the staff were keen to get you out to get the tables prepared for dinner, however.
Dinner we found was excellent throughout the holiday with the only complaints being that the food was normally "luke warm" and the Tea and Coffee did not get put out at Dinner time (You had to go across to the bar afterwards to get this!!, which I could never understand.)
We usually filled our 2 water bottles (In the fridge on arrival) with lemon and orange tang to save us from visiting the bar as often. The same applied to the large Water bottle we purchased from the shop as we refilled this from the water dispenser at the restaurant once empty. (Saving you money on buying bottled water!!)
The bar sometimes took an eternity to get served at and we found that when the manager was in attendance all the staff quickened up although did give him preferential treatment over others at the bar.
You would see the girls having to prepare Turkish Coffee or drinks and have them delivered to their table on a tray as soon as they requested anything!.
I even saw one of them at the bar (while it was very busy) asking for more raki to be put into the drink that he had delivered before everyone else in the first place. The barman had to stop preparing the current drinks order for someone at the bar to make sure he got it straight away.
We don't really drink and only had a few vodkas and spent all the other time drinking Coffee. They did run out of Sprite and some spirits (Brandy etc) which would probably have annoyed a few people. (On our day of departure the Sprite ran out around noon!!)
The pool area is larger than a lot of other hotels in Olu (From what I could see looking in on other hotels) although is let down by the reservation of beds (From 7am onwards when we stayed) even with the signs up stating (No towels before 9am). Nobody payed any attention to this and on the last days all the beds were taken by around 8am!!!!
We went to the Private Beach a number of times due to the noise and sometimes rowdy people around the pool and found this area to be excellent and a lot quieter probably due to the fact that AI did not extend to the beach (Apart from Orange and Lemon Tang and some cheese salad rolls at noon). Pedaloes and canoes were free for Sun City too (30 minutes at a time) with a free shuttle service to and from the hotel at various times.
Entertainment was OK I suppose but found the day games limited to darts, water polo and morning exercise and the evenings very repetative (Comedy Sketch show etc) and also found them quite bland. The kids disco started each night around 9:30 with the same songs which got a bit painful after a few days.
The kids play area was fine for very young kids and the pool table and coin arcade games a little outdated and broken. The pool table was terrible!! The girls tried their best with the things they had to offer and were very nice to talk to. The times available for using the facilties were pretty bad though and there was very little for older kids to do to keep them amused.
All in all it was an excellent holiday in a complex that Thomas Cook rate as 3+ although most rate as 4 star. With a little improvement in some areas the Hotel complex would certainly be a 4 star.
The complex could do with treating their staff a little better which would rub off on the guests too (These people work from around 6am to midnight every day for only 9 lira a day), an improvement in the entertainment, sunbed situation and warmer food would certainly go a long way to achieving the 4 star status. It would appear the complex is being run by Accountants therefore I do not see these areas being addressed in the future, unfortunately. If they are adding more rooms to the complex (so I have heard) then I can see it being very crammed for next year.
We also had the Turkish Bath and Full Body Massage at the Sun City and got the 3 of us (Our son didn't want the massage!!) for £55. The "All Inclusive" use of the sauna and turkish bath just mean you can use the facilties between 4-7pm as long as no one has booked them.
We have also agreed that we would return to Sun City next year but earlier (probably September) to get better weather (Warmer at night/morning).

The location of Suncity was brilliant and what a view from around the pool as the hotel looks like it has been dropped in between mountains with the lovely smell of pine all day - totally lovely - worth going just for that!!
You did have to be up with your towel before 8am to ensure a sunbed or you would have no chance, but that's holidays in general!!
The entertainment was ok, better during the day with darts/pool games/water polo for the adults and kids games to keep them entertained.
The evening entertainment was not very good and the poor kids were subjected to 4 "disco" songs a night of Aggadoo and I am the music man!!!
Although the staff work very hard and are very polite.
The food was ok but with just one buffet restaurant it can become a bit boring but certainly lots of choice - you wouldn't starve!
the pool-bar food was good as well but only a limited choice but did all the favourites, ie burger and chips etc..
The drink measures were huge, so much so we had to ask for small vodkas!!!!
Would definitely go back to Turkey and would go back to Sun City - fab holiday!!!

| said: Well where do I start. This is the best holiday we have ever been on.
The rooms where very spacious and clean and were cleaned everyday and linen changed every 3 days. The food in the restaurant was excellent and there was always a lot to choose from and varied from day to day. The entertainter were great with adults and children Mieker, Akan, Erkan, Ali and Talan. They work so hard and long hours they do all the entertainment during the day and most evenings.
We hardly see the kids my youngest was always off in the childrens club or in the adventure playground and the teenagers made friends quickly and were off doing there own things.
In the restaurant the waiters were all very friendly and helpful and are always clearing the tables very quickly. This hotel is wonderful for a relaxing holiday surrounded by mountains and the scenery is beautiful The town is just a short walk away at the top of the road and as most things that you would need there.
If you are a one for desiner gear then this is the place to pick up very good replicates at very cheap prices, a tip dont take many clothes with you and buy when you get there what you need most items dont cost no more than £10.
I would highly recommend this holiday to anyone and was very upset to have to leave and am definitely returning there within the near future.

| said: Well what can I say, I arrived home this morning from my second visit to Sun City and it was fantastic. I thought it couldn't get much better but I was wrong.
The hotel is cleaned thoroughly everyday. There is always a member of staff hosing down the paths or watering the plants. The cleaners seemed more relaxed this year as our rooms were cleaned late in the day and the baths could have been cleaner however the standards were still way above average. Resturant staff are friendly, especially Mario, who are eager to clear your table.
The food is great. It is mostly turkish food which is lovely to try. There is still alternates for the more picky eaters like potato and other foods you may find in England. The puddings are out of this world. There are cakes drenched in cyrup and many other things such as yogurt or fresh fruit. The food is repetitive but managable as it is so good.
The location is great. The hotel is cut into the mountain side creating shade in some areas of the hotel and sun in others. The hotel is practically intown already however you do not hear anyother noise than what is in the hotel. Olu Deniz is the perfect resort for this hotel to be. Other reviews give bad views on basment rooms. We were in a top floor room last year but ended up in a ground floor this time. Some rooms arent actually basement rooms, they appear to be underground due to the hotel being cut into the mounatin however our basement room had lots of natural light flooding in and was on ground level.
Hotel staff are wonderful. All turkish and friendly. Bar staff Emre and Ercan are super and made getting the drinks in a lot of fun. Always up for a laugh. The staff are all very nice and are happy to sit with you for a beer and a chat.
Enteratinment is perfect. A typical day starts with morning stretches withe the girls followd by water polo for kids. Pool games which were a right laugh. Water polo for adults then water gym. There is a staffed mini club for youngsters where they did a variety of things such as colouring or hupla. The evening programmes were good. You were greeted by the staff at dinner. Each night there was the classic mini disco with the agadoo and all the usual then followed by a fantastic show everynight. On our last night there was water ballet which was really cool. The shows ranged from music quizs to traditional turkish folk dancing
The entertainment crew were fab; Erkan, Kuytay, Mustafa, Taner, Anya and Marina- Seni Seviyorum, (I love you!, Erkan also gave turkish lessons!)Also don't forget barmen Ercan and Emre- Seni Seviyorum too!
After visiting the hotel twice I have really enjoyed my time at sun city however I wouldn't revisit next year as the novelty would wear off but i wouldnt definatley consider this hotel in the future.
