fantastic hotel very clean food beautiful with lots of variety to suit even the fussiest of eaters. staff ok not the friendliest bar staff very rude unless they were getting a tip. Hotel a bit remote but it was a beautiful walk into san antonio only about 15 mins or bus stop directly outside so really also you could get the boat did not see any problem with that. Entertainment was very poor nothing for adults except dismal shows they put on at night, kids on the other hand were well catered for. would definetely recommend this hotel i noticed a few very unfair reviews on this hotel but i always find there are a few people in life that pay for a 3 star hotel but in return they expect 5 star treatment!!!!

This hotel is listed by First Choice as 4 'Suns', but do not expect the equivalent of 4* as we did, you will be bitterly disappointed.

It is a cheap and noisy 3* hotel, average food, awful entertainment and rather run down and scruffy decor.

The staff were pleasant and the rooms were kept clean although the rooms at the back of the hotelget no sun and have views of disused and overgrown apartments.

The pool area was overcrowded even in October and very rowdy. We used the beach below the hotel which is really nice.

First the good points. Traelled with Thomsons from Gatwick on a 6.30am flight, flight on time and we were at the hotel reception waiting to check in by 11.00am.

Reception and surrounding hotel public places very clean

First surprise out hotel room was ready and it was only 11.00am, room very clean, bathroom spotless, combined with TV and balcony we were very pleased.

If you are a fussy eater you will have no problems at this hotel, full english breakfasts with English sausages, piping hot and plenty of other alternatives ie cereals, continental, toast, unlimited fresh orange juice and coffee.Lunch, soups, various International dishes, desserts, fresh fruit, cheese and biscuits. Evening meals, same as lunch but different international meals as well as a meat carvery. Wine on tap as well as soft drinks, just help yourself. I am a very fussy eater but had no problems and never once looked to go out to a restuarant for a meal. All drinks were local spanish brands but were acceptable, if you want premium brands you have to pay

Hotel location is isolated, but a 30 minute walk took you into San Antonio, very pleasant walk with plenty of seating along the coastal path, Bus stop a few yards from the hotel and taxis into San Antonio approx 6 Euros. Take mozzie repellent got bitten several times

Hotel staff vey pleasant and helful especially bar staff.

I am sorry to say that the only downside of the hotel was the entertainment, mostly for children and repeated every night, adult entertainment consisted of staff miming to Mamma Mia and Moulin, the 2 acts they brought in were very good, Take that tribute band and professional dance act the hotel needs to look at their entertainment programme in order to encourage their guests to stay.

Would I stay at this hotel again? the answer has to be yes, the price we paid was extremely good and I classed it as a value for money holiday.

Drinking outside hotel proved to be quite expensive, Beer £3+ a pint, 2 coffees on the front £7, prices have really shot up in spain, so if you are going, go to an all inclusive hotel and you will find that you are getting value for money

We stayed here with family and friends and had a great time. I normally stay in four star hotels and apart from little points this hotel was not far behind. The food choice is realy good with full english the best ive ever had abroad. The evening meal choices were to many to mention but all good. The hotels location is just right in my opinion just outside san an but short walk if u want to go in or a taxi is not expensive. The staff were very friendly and worked hard. The beach is stunning and only five minutes walk away. Only negative would be the sunbeds having to get up seven thirty if you wanted one they need to sort this out.And if you have a late flight you are out of the room from midday with the shower room a lottery also the hotel is very very busy.

The hotel was always clean as were the pools and outside areas. The food was lovely, something for everyone, often too tempting to stop eating!!
The reception and bar staff were pleasant apart from the odd one here and there but top marks go to the entertainment staff, they work long hours but always seem happy to be there and are always doing something! Admittedly, if you sunbathe around the main pool area, you do tend to get asked if you want to participate in every activity that takes place throughout the day but most of them are fun and break up the day a little.
During peak times, there are lots of children there but this is to be expected, we have a child and so dont mind about this, whilst our child never went in the kids club, lots did and seemed to enjoy themselves especially with the mini-disco at night.
Within 2 weeks of getting home, we have booked again for next year and are taking some of our relatives with us. It cant come soon enough!

We booked this holiday 4 weeks before departure and paid only £375 each for 10 nights all inclusive in mid-August. Our bedroom was really bright and spacious on the top floor with a full sea view (we didn't pay any supplements for this but signs up in the hotel state that a room with a sea view can be arranged for an extra 14.50 euro per night).

The hotel was kept spotlessly clean throughout and the food was excellent for a 3* hotel - the buffet did get a bit repetitive and boring though after a few days though to be honest, but that's the way of it if you're not eating out in a different restaurant every night. The queues in the restaurant were sometimes bad (but it was peak season, so we weren't surprised at this really).

The sea view from our balcony was beautiful and I would say to try to get a sea view if you can - watching the sunset from up there each evening was really lovely.

The reason we would be unlikely to return to this hotel again is mainly because of its location - it's very isolated and we like to go for a wander in the evenings with the kids.

One big negative was the water in the pools - I don't know if it was too much chlorine or the salt water but most of our swimwear got completely ruined in the water (lycra in the swimsuits and bikinis was wrecked) and also my daughter's hair has been very badly damaged by the pool water - so bad in fact that I had to get 3 inches cut off it when we returned home. No matter how much conditioner we used on her hair in the shower each night, it was impossible to get a brush or comb through it - we go away quite a lot and we've never had that trouble before in pools.

The staff are friendly on the whole - one or 2 sour-faced ones in the bar but you get that everywhere I suppose!

The hotel entertainment was great and our kids loved all of the team. The First Choice kids club, however, was only for children up to the age of 8 so our older child couldn't go. We didn't think much of the First Choice reps in the hotel either - both pretty miserable looking and kept themselves to themselves.

The shows that the hotel entertainment team put on are great though and they put loads and loads of effort into their job all day every day. We did have a really great holiday but would only come back if we got another last minute cheap deal like we did this time. On the First Choice website, the same holiday for the same 10 days next year is currently £1000 more than we paid, so think twice before you book in advance!

Fantastic holiday overall. Hotel was excellent, food was plentiful fresh and great variety. Rooms, pools and communal areas all spotlessly clean. Great hotel for kids with 5 pools in total (2 at Tanit, 3 belonging to Cala Gracio-other hotel in same grounds). Life guards at both pools, security was also great in the hotel and no bad behaviour was tolerated.

Kids clubs only available up to 8yrs, activities provided throughout the day by hotel entertainment team who were excellent and very hard working. This was not in your face though like at some hotels.

Food/drinks/ice creams available throughout the day and all excellent.

The hotel staff were polite and friendly at all times and cleaners were very thorough. The entertainment staff were excellent but the shows aren't to everyones taste and this wasnt helped by the evening entertainment been held indoors.

Would definitely visit this hotel again - highly recommended!!!

The food at this hotel is excellent, plenty of choice to suit all tastes, the all inclusive package saved a fortune as 4 drinks 2 x beer & 2 x coke in a San Antonio bar cost 14euro

Very clean both rooms and communal areas and the staff are polite and extremely hard working

The entertainment is just ok

If you have teenagers with you as we did take a laptop so that they can use MSN and Facebook the lobby is a WI FI area or you can pay 8 euros per hour to use the internet in reception

My friend and myself stayed at the hotel Tanit for a week. We are both in out 20's but went away for some sun rather than clubbing.

The hotel and rooms were really clean, the room was air conditioned which was well needed with the temperatures been around 30. We had amazing views of the sunset from our room too.

The amount of of food available was amazing, breakfast was definitely my favourite meal which choises of pancakes, omelettes, full english, toast, cereal, croissants and much more, by the end of the week we were getting a little fed up of the food, (or maybe just eating all the time). but no complaints about the quality or choice.

The pools are really deep. the bigger ones arn't really suitable for young children without an adult, but both the Tanit and cala gracio (the neighbouring hotel which we had use of their facilities as they are on the same site) have children's pools. both have life guards throughout the day. We went first week of sept and had very little problem with sunbeds what ever time of day we went down. The hotel gracio pools were nicer but less going on around them where as the tanit had music and the entertainment going on.

The location was fine for us, we knew it was a little way out when we booked it. It was about 15 mins walk from sunset strip, which is well worth the walk for sunset, but we did get a taxi into the bay or town, which was about 6 Euro, as is the ferry boat which goes from the bay. although I'm sure it could be walked although it is a little dark at night, but felt safe enough when we did it . There is a super market across the way and a little pub which has a cigarette machine. (the only tobacconist we found was in the bay). Also buses around the Island are really cheap. from cala gracio (just outside the hotel) was 1.45 Euro to San Antonio, and only 3euro something to Ibiza town which run every 15 mins. really easy to get around the island.

i would recommend the Chilli Peppers boat trip, its an adult trip but without the club 18 - 30 feel. It was really chilled out with drinks provided and lovely laid back people running it. If you walk along the bay you can book a trip, if you do it through Thomson you pay a stupid amount more.

Overall a pleasant holiday, the staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The only main problem was getting a seat for the entertainment. the room is way too small. The hotel itself wasn't too busy so we did manage to get in when we wanted but if there was a group of you I think you would struggle.

The Tanit hotel has lovely clean spacious rooms and the food it excellent but it is situated quite away from anything with nowhere to walk in the evening. The entertainments hall is far too small for the amount of guests therefore we never went in, so cannot say what the entertainment was like. The pools are nice and have a life guard on duty but lilos or toys are not allowed in them. There are plenty of sun beds but not enough space to put them around the pool so many were left unused. The beach is very small and littered with rubbish and cigarette butts. We were also warned that there are a lot of jelly fish this season. All in all a good holiday but very noisy and loud music all the time. Not a relaxing place.

We took our 13son,the hotel was great.the only thing 2 things i would fault was the entertainment should have been outside, there was just not enough seats in side.Trying to get a sun bed was terrible but the beach is not far.The roams were best we have ever stayed in loads of space, cleaned every day.We only ate out once as the food was so nice. And that was because our son wanted a chinese.Location was great after tea it was lovely to walk along to see the sunset.would def go again.

Hi everyone,

Just got back from the Tanit and I am definently booking for next year. Our party was the wife me and 6 + 4 year old kids and we could not fault anything. The Hotel itself was extemely secure for the kids to run around unattended as there is only one entrance/exit and that is the front foyer where there is a security guard at all times, the pool is manned by a life guard at all times and also has a seperate first aider at most times by the pool. I personnelly checked the perimeter before letting the 4 year old out of my site and there is no way out other than the front. The food was freshly cooked with amazing variety if you can't find something you like then you must eat some rubbish back at home, there is always something available even outside the restaurant opening times. Now I've never been one for Hotel entertainment but I must say they had some pretty decent acts on during our stay and the entertainment/activity team were really funny, helpful and entertaining even during the day around the pool they would come and get to know you and want to get you involved but not in an in-your-face kind of way. The rooms were of a good size and were cleaned every day religously you could set your watch by them as they cleaned our room at 10.30 every morning on their rounds.

And this year (as I had read reports about the Hotel next door and their pools etc) the Cala Gracio next door is available to book when you arrive for 15 euros a night as an upgrade but the pools are available for everyone to use. Last but by no means least the beach is beautiful and really secluded a proper sun trap. Try the secret beach as well by crossing the first beach and traversing around the rocks of the small peninsula to an even smaller beach with its own beach restaurant and big fish that swim around your ankles as you plodge or swim.......idylic!!!!

Can't wait for next year.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the hoel the 3rd may (weather was grate but did rain the last too days) and had a really good time.

The hotel was very clean and the maids came evryday but they came quite early and they did walk in so we put the do not disturb sign on the door.

The food was great, the breakfast was the best (full english) it eas the same ost notes but suh a wide varity.

The staff were lovely and the reps were always there in case of a problem.

We didnt really like the entertainment and got a bit board in the evening (but we are both 18) it was more for family.

Its about 15min walk to sun set strip which was brilliant.
We would go again but with other people so we dont get board again, but a lovley relaxin holiday.

The hotel was great! All of the entertainment staff were amazing. My son really liked Pico & Steffi he enjoyed the mini disco everynight.... he keeps asking where "yah man" is (Pico's saying).

The entertainment staff put on a really good shows I really enjoyed the "we will rock you" they were friendly.

The food in this hotel was really good I am a really fussy eater but most days/nights I found something to tickle the tastebuds. The hotel was really clean everywhere you went there was a cleaner.

I would definately go back to this hotel.

The down side to this hotel was it wasn't near anything you were a 30min walk from San Antonio so you couldnt just go out whenever you wanted also the pillows in the rooms werent the best I had a sore neck every morning.

Over all the whole was good I would definately consider going back & I would recommend it to a friend.

We returned on Sat from here for our second year in a row and although i was concerned before i went cos of the reviews we had an amazing time yet again!

Fodd is fantastic and no disrespect but if anyone complains they must be extremely fussy eaters i mean we have 3 children ages 6,5 and 16 months and there was something for everyone!!
It was a little disappointing not to be able to use the other pools this year and the pool at Tanit was fairly busy on our first week but there is a fab beach and you can still get beds down by the other pool and it is beautiful so don't know what all the fuss is about!
Well as the the fiesta staff we know them from last year and speak regularly to Pico etc and they are fantastic Dj sadly won't be there next year but him and Pico are fantastic and Chris well my daughter was besotted with hm and he was fab with her! Lou and Dana too such fab girls and made you feel part of the family!!

all in all i suppose if you go July and Aug its gonna busy but thats life we went 1st sep and had a fab 2 weeks and WILL be rerurning after all your holiday is what you make it if you go with a negative attitude you will give us brits that moaning reputaion and won't enjoy!!!

Thanks Tanit once again

Been to Ibiza 3 times before but not to this hotel or fully inclusive, food was excellent, hotel very clean, rooms cleaned every day, staff very friendly, location ok, a bit out of the way but only 15 mins to san antonio.

Wouldn't return here until they sort out the pool area, 1200 guests. 325 sunbeds!! You do the maths. It was OK before when you could use the pools at the adjoining hotel Cala Gracio but this has now been stopped because its only for the French!!

Although they can still use all the facilities at the tanit, inc the resturant! NOT ON! SORT IT OUT THOMSON!!

Having read the other reports, I would like to add the following:
The pool is a bit of a joke with people putting chairs out at stupid o'clock to reserve their spaces as the beds are not unlocked until 9am. We couldn't believe our eyes, when we saw people sitting outside in a lightning storm that lasted most of the morning. There is a problem with the French having sole use of the pools at the Cala Gracio hotel. They can still come and use the pools at Tanit which does seem a little unfair.
The entertainment team work very hard even though some of the equipment is a little dated.
Rooms were clean, although with 2 teenagers it was a little cramped.
The hotel just does not seem to have a big enough pool area for all the guests, if the hotel is full.
At night the entertainment is inside, which again is not big enough for the amount of guests in the hotel.
I know that this sounds as if it was a bad holiday, but it was actually a very good holiday except for the minor points listed above.
The location is a very quiet although it is only a 15 minute wlak into San Antonio, or you can take a water taxi for 3 Euros each.
The beach is lovely and if you go onto the rocks early in the morning, then you can see all sorts of creatures in the sea. We saw an octopus walking along the sea floor which was amazing.
The pool situation does need to get sorted out and the hotel probably needs to get a grip on people reserving their beds at ungodly hours.

just got back from a week at the tanit and that was enough.when i booked the holiday last nov it showed that we had the use of 6 pools,3 at the tanit and 3 at the cala gracio hotel which is in the same grounds.when we got there we found out that the 3 pools at the cala gracio were not for our use as they were rented out to french users only,as was the disco at the tanit hotel.so in a nutshell the poolside was an absolute fiasco, people geting up at silly o`clock to reserve sunbeds and everybody was squashed in like sardines with no room to breath which was awfull,we used the beach more than the pool cos of this.the rest of the hotel was quite nice, food good, hotel very clean,,,,would not recommend this hotel till the pool fiasco is sorted out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We returned this morning from this hotel and we are glad to have left the total bedlum!

Firstly let me say that we are a "normal" family, we work hard for our money, we are Mr and Mrs average, this is relevant because every person has a different perception of what is acceptable behaviour, and I would like you to bear this in mind when reading about our experiences. We found those that enjoyed the Tanit experience were those that had lower standards than our own.

GOOD POINTS
Excellent standard of cleanliness.
Good standard of furnishings in bedrooms, with adequate room for family of 4, 2 children aged 12 and 10.
Food kept at correct temperature, hot food was hot and cold food was cold.

BAD POINTS
During our 2 week stay the Tanit had in excess of 1,100 guests every day, causing severe overcrowding in restaurants, entertainments room and the pool.

326 sunbeds around the pool in an area designed, in my opinion for half that amount, white garden chairs added to the pool area to accommodate even more guests. Absolutely no space between sunbeds, sunbeds pushed tight against each other to maximise space unless a white garden chair, parasol or small table was inserted between them. Often impossible to put your legs either side of the sunbed in order to get up. Access to the pool and to steps leading down to the gardens often blocked by sunbeds, very difficult to use pushchairs around the pool area and impossible for the wheel chair bound gentleman who was staying when we were there. The hotel has ramps for wheel chairs but during the day there is no pathway through to the ramp due to the sunbeds.
Guests reserve "their" space at the pool side fom 5.30am. Despite the Hotel's policy of non reservation of sunbeds, people mark out their territory with towels, plastic chairs and parasols and then replace these with the sun beds once they have been unchained at 9am. The hotel does nothing to discourage this behaviour.

The withdrawal of the use of facilities of the Fiesta Cala Graccio Hotel, which has additional pools within the grounds of the Hotel Tanit. Fiesta guests have the benefit of using all fiesta hotels in Ibiza and are not told prior to departure that this benefit has been withdrawn in respect of the hotel that shares it's grounds, however the guests at the Fiesta Cala Graccio have full use of the Tanit's facilities and exclussive use of the Hotel Tanit's disco.

A restaurant seating 525 guests with 2 hot drinks machines at breakfast and 2 toasters, guests often queuing for 10 mins for tea and then another 10 minutes for toast, by which time their children had eaten their breakfast and were bored waiting and became boisterous and noisy.

An entertainments room with 220 comfortable seats despite its official capacity to seat aprox 320, restricted views from pillars within the room. Seats were reserved from 7pm onwards for entertainment, the main element of which starts at 10pm.

No evening entertainment geared towards the older children (12+) and no facility for them to chill out anywhere, hence large groups of teenagers hanging out in reception, in hall ways, out side the front of the hotel and in the foyer. The least they need is a room with chairs, a free juke box and drinks machine.
This is a loud, noisy, boisterous hotel, do not book this hotel if you are a normal family looking for some good quality time with your children. We experienced clients at this Hotel who were willing to let their children run riot through the hotel, climb over furniture and deface it, some parents seemed not to care what their children were up to or where they were. People rarely dressed for dinner and many wore the same clothes they had been wearing around the pool. It seems the all inclusive facility at this hotel encourages the "got to get your moneys worth" attitude ,discouraging exploration of the island and it's culture. In my opinion some clients would be more suited to a budget holiday camp in England with a bar, a large screen TV for the footy and a solarium for the tan.

Just awfull, repetitive food, no sunbeds, noisy kids running around all times of night, no respect from guests and no control from hotel. Reps can't do anything about the hotel no longer letting guests use extra pools in the grounds, seems to go against you here if you are English, the French get exclusive use of a disco and extra pools.

I have been going on package holidays for the last 30 years and this has surpassed any other! it was the worst I have ever been on. If you imagine tranquil surroundings, ambering from your bed to the nice quiet pool to read your book...... well this is not the hotel for you! imagine noise getting up very early to reserve a sunbed and getting very familiar with the stranger next to you! thats the TANIT!

This was our 4th stay at this hotel and we were really looking forward to another return stay.

As usual, the hotel was truely immaculate as were the rooms. ALL rooms are thoroughly cleaned everyday - all furniture is moved and cleaned behind! Since the refurbishment, the bathrooms and bedrooms are really modern, bright and cool with very quiet air conditioning. The rooms are huge - we had 4 beds in ours and we could have fitted 2 more in! Most rooms in this hotel are huge - it's only the 2 bedded ones that are 'normal' size. Walkways inside the hotel are now covered in carpet too so you don't get disturbed by clonking heals on the floor!

As usual, if you want anything for your room (we always need extra hangers!), the reception staff are very helpful (they ALL speak very good English) and they simply fill out a form and what you've requested is in your room within hours.

The food was as good as ever - always piping hot, loads of choice and lots of lovely dishes (e.g. avocado & prawn, fresh seafood, various roasts (carved off the bone), massive fresh salad selection.....). This is a 4* hotel so don't expect to enter the dining room in sarongs or anything else too revealing - staff wait at the door and will turn you away unless you are dressed appropriately. There is a huge outdoor section of the restaurant if you want to eat in your swim-wear (just salads and snacks though here).

The entertainment is good if you haven't seen it before but get there early as the saddos reserve seats early - probably the same ones who actually reserve concrete floor space around the pool using chairs/towels as they have to have 'their' particular spot! I was smart this year and packed a sun-bed in my suitcase but had the hotel not rented the beautiful Cala Gracio apartment pools out to a French Company (and given them sole use of them!), sunbed space would not be a problem at this hotel.

The main reason we booked to return to this hotel was because the additional pools were beautiful, perfect for young children and less noisy etc but to arrive and find that NO English can use them but the French can use these AND the main 3 pool that are 'supposed' to be for the Tanit only, was very disappointing - and the ONLY reason we won't be returning next year. It's a shame as everything else at this hotel is lovely - we can't fault it (and we're pretty fussy!).

Staff are always polite, friendly and helpful.

Luckily, the management at this hotel don't suffer fools gladly or put up with noisy, aggressive or badly behaved guests - they take any complaints seriously.

If you're worried about bugs, food poisoning, clean rooms, pool areas etc etc then go to this hotel as all these things are first class (in the 4 times we've been at this hotel, we've never known anybody have food poisoning etc). However, if you don't like crampt sunbathing conditions, I'd choose another hotel.

If you love your food, you'll love this hotel as again, this is wonderful and certainly better than most of the local restaurant standards.

the room was clean and sufficent the maids attempted to clean whilst hoards of people spilt their all inclusive drinks all over the stairs. The food was good however a little repetative after two weeks, the hotel staff were impolite (but so would I be in their situation). The entertainment was interesting. I would rather stick pins in my eyes than spend hard earned cash on visiting this hotel. It reminded me of the recent TV programme "Benidorm" featuring Johhny Vegas, infact I think I saw him on a Lilo in the pool, or maybe participating in the quiz, I can not remember!

This hotel has certainly gone down hill. The best fun was watching the down stairs disco at about 11 30 pm lots of trouble. You can not use the pools as described in brochure and for two weeks know chance of sunbeds. Talking to people who have being going for five years and said they will never return so if you want to be a sardine around a pool this is the holiday for you but not for me. Met a lot of good friends and all said they would never recommend to anyone reps not helpful at all so if you have booked this holiday good luck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

things have got worse in peak season you have to get up at 7am for a sunbed, I have just escaped this place and de-tagged myself. Although the rooms were nice and the food quite good this place is packed to capacity in peak season. I would estimate over 1200 people during the last week in July first week of August. This hotel is out of control all the rules and regualtions are flouted i.e not reserving sunbeds etc. The single most thing that spoilt this holiday was not to be able to sit around the pool with my young children. The place was noisey until the early hours of the morning with teenagers running around shouting explitives and talking about their recent exploites. This is the worst hotel I have been to and by no means is it four star as the Thomson brochure suggests. Ibiza is beautiful the sunset at San Antonia is great. We hired a car and checked out other Fiesta hotels which were nothing like the Tanit, they were nice!

The hotel, gardens and surrounding areas were always kept very clean and tidy. There was always a very good choice of food, although we did find some of the combinations a bit unusual. Our son is a very fussy eater and he managed to find something he liked every day. The hotel staff were always very polite and friendly.

Our main complaint, as with everyone is the lack of room for sunbeds. This was not helped by the fact that people would reserve sunbeds at 8 in the morning (although signs are up not allowing this) and more often than not only actually use them for an hour or 2 and then disappear. Most of the time half of the sunbeds were only occupied by towels! It was a shame that the other pools could not be used because these were usually half empty.

Had a great time. Hotel was kept lovely and clean. Only problem was that the french at the other hotel, where the nice pool is did not like us using it, so no one from hotel tanit can use it now. Which is wrong really considering in the thomson book it says you can use the pool. Also they used our pool which made it impossibble to get a sunbed!!! They do clean out the kids pools completely every morning though, which i thought was very good.
The food was good, only problem i found was they did not really cater for young children, pizza every day and the occasional chicken nuggett. Also they do not supply juice for young children. they do have a juice machine in the resturant but you can not get to it outside opening times, also it was always breaking down, so the only thing to do is buy a bottle of juice from the shop and keep making your own. Also if you are an early riser, you can not get a cup of tea or coffee until the resturant opens, as they take all the cups in for the outside machine. The thompson rep did not know a lot, she could not even give us the correct directions to get into san antonio, do not use the hotel washing machine!!! not only is it old and rusty, but it also makes small holes in clothes. I did inform the rep, but all she said was well it is a free service!!! The reps were hardly around anyway. For all you lager drinkers, there is no lager only beer, it is very strong, so if you like lager do what we did, take your own into the hotel. It is quite cheap in the supermarket. Also buy your ciggys at gatwick, as the hotel does not sell them. the only place near the hotel to buy them is in a little bar down the road from the hotel. San antonio is the only place you can buy 200+, for all you shoppers out there, i found some great bargins in san antonio.
As for Pico and Dj, all i can say is fantastic, it was dj and picos birthdays while i was there and they both got thrown in the pool. The shows they put on were great, a lot of hard work went in to it.
The reason why i will not be returning is because i only vist one place once, i like to try different things. I have already recomended this hotel to a number of my friends. Mainly because of Pico, they love the photos. I think you ladies will know what i mean!!!

We stayed all inclusive at this hotel and this place is spotless, I have never seen such clean rooms and public areas, the rooms are cleaned perfectly as often as you like by putting a request on your door.

The food is superb I cant fault any of it there is a large range of cooked meals both dinner & evening and you can then also have freshly cooked food ie steaks, chops, fresh fish and their pizza is fantastic! Cooked fresh in the hotel, fresh pancakes for breakfast the food is totally faultless, there are snacks available in between meals but this never changed and was always hamburgers, kebabs, chips and salad.

Drinks were OK, not too impressed with the local liquors they didn't taste the same as the real stuff. Entertainment went on all day with the usual bowling, water polo, darts and on there was a show in every night mainly performed by the Animacion team.

We were really looking forward to visiting this hotel after all the fantastic reviews we had read about it. We thought we had booked a connecting room but on arrival were given a room with 4 beds...even on our booking form it stated connecting!!

There seems to be too many sun beds and not enough space. So set your alarm clocks and have your towels ready to be up and waiting by the pool at 8am, when in fact the beds aren`t unlocked till 9am.When we booked this hotel it stated we could use the pools next door.

When in fact you can`t. Ladies BE VERY CAREFUL the last week of our visit a couple of ladies had their handbags snatched off their shoulders as they walked home from san antonio.

The food was fine but very repetittive.Would not go back to the tanit. We love the island just not this area.

Go on the trips we thoroughly enjoyed the aqua day out and the castaway.. brilliant and would do these again.

We have just come back after spending a week at the hotel Tanit.

What a good time we had hotel very nice and clean. Weather was hot. Food excellent only fault we had was the pool not been able to get a sunbed. There was not enough room for the amount of people the hotel holds. You had to be up at 8am to put a towel on a bed and queue for it. So what we did we went to the lovely beach 2 minutes walk away till late afternoon then went to the pool and you could get a bed then.

Only stayed to watch entertainment a couple of nights what we saw was ok. We used to get a taxi into San Antonio only 6 euros. We also had a night round at the bay which has loads of bars with kids stuff in.

We might return in the near future but like to try different places, but we would highly recommend it.

Location good hotel has a large driveway which is nice as dosen't open on to a main road. Staff friendly and polite. Always found thomson reps to be very friendly and helpful. Entertainment typical hotel cheesy style not our choice but if you like to participate then fine!! Kids enjoyed the childrens games/songs. Would visit this hotel again but only out of main season as imagine it is riot it in the middle of august!! Hotel about half full when we where there first week of may and busy enough for us. I am 11 years old and went to the Hotel Tanit with my
parents, brother and sister, aunty and uncle, and grandparents.

We all loved this hotel and will return in the future. My nan was annoyed because she couldn't get a sunbed, even though she was up very early. People were reserving them with towels and then not using them until after midday. I thought this was very selfish.

We loved having water fights in the sea and the beach was really nice.

I would recommend this hotel.

We have just recently returned from Hotel Tanit after spending an enjoyable week there. My grandchildren really enjoyed themselves and have asked if they can return next year for a longer period.

The food was really good, and we all enjoyed the pancakes at breakfast.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms are cleaned everyday and towels changed everyday. The maid and all the other staff are really friendly.

I had a problem with the shower in my room, reported it at 10 a.m. and it was fixed and working perfectly by 2.30 p.m.

The private beach is beautiful, but difficult to access if you are disabled.

I cannot comment on the entertainment as I never watched it.

We would all definately return to this hotel

We have just come back form the Tanit a couple of days ago. There are some good points and some bad as far as I am concerned, this is merely from a family point of view, some issues will not be relevant if you are not in this particular grouping.

Firstly the good - Ideal location, just 15 min walk from San Antonio and 2 mins from the private beach.

The hotel cleanliness. Superb, the staff were always cleaning.

The pools, plenty of choice, bearing in mind you could use the Cala Gracio pools as well (Subject to the ususal problem of people reserving beds with towels.

Now the bad.

The entertainment was rubbish, the kids disco, which was on every night consisted of them singing the same 5 songs in a row and playing 1 game, which was a variation on musical statues. Whilst they played, they gave no thought to the fact that smaller children would have more difficulty and thus an older child always won.

The adult entertainment was no better, I went two nights, the first was bingo (whoopeee) the second was a game where you had to guess a song and then run and sit on a chair at the front, where if you got it right you were given a prize consisting of a sangria (urm...all inclusive means this is included anyway). Then you had to down it in one whilst "shaking your booty". I don't know what was more disturbing, the fact that the hotel entertainment team had the audacity to call it enterntaining or that some people seemed to enjoy it!

Now meal times, definitely a complete mess, there was an ok selection of food moost times, but unless you actually queued up from 7.00pm, you could not get a table for the next hour/hour and half unless you literally waited next to someone, who looked like they were going to finish. It was chaos, never experienced anything so bad.

The highchairs were dated and totally inadequate

The hotel's private beach was nice, but the only way to access it is via 2 sets of steep steps (no good with a puushchair)also most days the coasline was littered with jellyfish, so unusable.

Plus (and I realise that I might have known this beforehand)the hotel was literally filled with screaming kids until about midnight, there is no where you can grab a quiet moment.

If you are unlucky enough to be put on the first 3 floors, the "Entertainment" will keep you awake if you fancy an early night so don't bother.

I appplaud the cleanliness, but would not stay here again and would never recommend it to a friend.

Hotel staff, cleaners, chefs etc are excellent workers and payed peanuts for the hours they do.

Entertainment staff Pico,DJ,Ruth, absolutely excellent,Pico and DJ are definately the funniest entertainers I have ever seen and are great with the kids. Ruth too is very good with the kids I would defintately return to the Tanit again!!!

We have just returned from the Tanit for the 2nd year running. A family holiday for 5 adults, children @14,8,6 and 5 and what can I say EXCELLENT!!!!!.

We stayed all inclusive and it was definitely worth it we ate out once in San Antonio and I feel was ripped off so go for the All Inclusive option.

The hotel was immaculately clean. The maids came in every day and cleaned the room to a very high standard, changed towels everyday if you needed them and there were lots of towels too.

The bedroom was air conditioned and boy did we need it. The restaurant has changed slightly from last year they now have a grill section where the chef cooks fresh fish, meat, burgers every lunch and dinner and at breakfast they cook scrambled eggs, omelette's and fresh pancakes.

They have a huge salad bar with everything you can think of on there including fresh prawns and salmon. Breakfast was the usual cooked for some, continental for others, fresh fruit, toast and pastries.

They also have another section for main meals which are varied quite a lot and also a dish of the day in the evening included paella, lamb, roast chicken, beef etc.

Overall the food is very good it's difficult to please everyone but they do do a good job. The waiting staff in there are very friendly and remove your plates as soon as you have finished and they are very helpful and friendly.

The hotel location for me is excellent as its nice and peaceful not within the madness of San Antonio but only takes around 15 Min's to walk in the centre or between 5-6 euros in a taxi. We didn't experience hardly any noise from other guests.

The pools are lovely we sunbathed down at the bottom pool near the original Cala Gracio Hotel however this year they have let this out to a French Holiday Co so as you can imagine there were lots of them there not that they did anyone any harm but down where we were it was all geared up for the French.

A little further down the complex down some steps is a little beach which is lovely with a bar on there however the beach round from that is so picturesque and is real paradise visit if you have a chance.

The entertainment team were as always EXCELLENT Pico and DJ are like a double act, Pico is lovely to look at as you will see and DJ is funny as. Ruth is in charge of the kiddie entertainment and does a good job with various activities.

Evening entertainment was good but didn't see as much as last year as another member of the family joined us a week in but wasnt staying with us so we ventured out more.

As a whole the Hotel Tanit is an excellent hotel which I would recommend everytime.

Wow another great holiday this was our second visit to the hotel we last visited this hotel in 2003 prior to this visit.

Again the standards were very high and the staff well you couldn't wish for friendly-er people the standards are very high indeed and everyone is always smiling and polite including all the house keeping staff.

Food was excellent choice however the sweet side was a little disappointing there is only so much Jelly and Ice cream one can take and after 14 days it got rather boring.
The whole of the Fiesta entertainment staff worked really hard very entertaining well done!

The only down side is that prior to our first visit the entertainment as been moved inside do to noise complaints and the pillars in the room obscured your view a little and to get a good view of the stage you needed to be laying claim to a seat at 7pm.

Will we visit this hotel again? you bet we will see you in 2007

Stayed at the Tanit for a week at the end of September.

Hotel spotless even at the end of season.

No problems getting sunbeds could walk to pool at 9:30 and still get 6 beds for my family.

Food good but had better lasts yesr at Flamingo Oasis Benidorm.

Entertainment fantastic the hotel has its own entertainers Pico, DJ, Nikki, plus more daily program of activities never stoped.

Hotel staff fine to say they work long hours for little pay.

This hotel is going for its four star next year they only need to change lifts and put double glazing in stair ways so book now before price goes up "we are"

We went to closing party at Eden 33euros Hotel 2mins away from Mambo and Cafe del Mare.

Hotel has own steps to beach but watch out for jelly fish.

Met some great people had a fantastic time and will be going back Sept 2007 for two weeks....

We are just back from a weeks holiday in the tanit. The hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious considering there were four of us. The hotel staff are all friendly.

The food is good. There was a choice for everyone and their roast leg of pork was cooked to perfection - delicious.

The location of the hotel is not great. the walk into san antonio is not that easy with a buggy because of the narrow and dug up parts of footpath. although we did get taxis prices ranging from 5 euros to 6.20 euros. I could not understand the price differences. Across the road from the hotel you can get the ferry which is worth it as is the sitting at the bar overlooking the sea waiting for it.

The entertainment needs to be improved. Only one professional show all week which was a drag artist in dresses miming songs. The Thomson staff entertained the rest of the week. They worked their butts off every night and earned every penny they get.

They were very good with the kids. This is definitely the best hotel we have been to for childrens entertainment day and night. The Thomson staff cannot be praised enough for their hard work. They had the kids clubs plus during the day they played games with the kids outside club hours.

I would not visit again but that is because I do not go back to the same hotel.

First time for an all inclusive holiday- we were not disappointed.

This hotel is superb, the standard far exceeds 3* in all categories.

The staff are hardworking and very friendly, constantly smiling as they make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.

The hotel is of a high standard in cleanliness and decor.

The food is plentiful, tasty and with plenty variety.
There were two vegetarians in our party and there was plenty choice for all.

The room was delightfully decorated, spacious and spotless.

The entertainment was as varied as the food - but perhaps not to everyones taste.

The pools were lovely, again spotless.

The beach was private for the hotel residents, small pretty cove with sandy beach to relax on and clean water to cool off in.

Would definitely visit again for relaxing break.

Was a bit unsure what to expect at this hotel, due to previous guests experience with rowdy familys, but we didn't have any problems.

The hotel is very clean, all inc food and drink was of a high standard, staff worked very hard, never had to queue for long at the bars.

The hotel is busy and lively lots of activities going on in the day for all ages, really impressed with kids club reps.

Only downside was sunbeds, yes people mark there spot from 7am, beds unlocked at 8am!

The entertainment being inside, room not big enough and hard to see the stage through pillars.

Other than those two points excellent hotel!

I've just returned from the Tanit and came back with mixed feelings. First the good points.
The hotel was very clean and well run, and the food was of a very high standard.

Now in my view the bad points. The hotel is a family hotel, so it would be full of children. But we have never been to such a noisy one as this.

Doors slamming at all hours and kids charging up and down the corridors screaming. Also the sun beds around the main pool is a joke, set your alarm clock for 7am, mark your spot with the white chairs then wait until 8am when they unlock the sun beds.

The main entertainment is held inside due to noise complaints, the room is to small and makes you think that your at a Haven holiday camp.

If you want a Hi-Di-Hi type break in Ibiza, with all the Football shirts, tattoos and oggy oggy oggy chants then this for you. However you might be looking for a nice quite break, then if so STAY WAY!

Have just returned from one of the best "family" holidays we have ever had. With two boys who could eat for England, the "all-inclusive" was fantastic.

They could help themselves to drinks & ice-creams although the sandwiches were not too clever. Snack bar good but be prepared to wait as there is only one chef who cooks everything to order.

Food in restaurant was fantastic. Loads of choice, fresh and well cooked, salads were especially good as was the choice of main courses. There was a really good carvery most evenings.

Drinks were freely available although served in plastic cups. If you ask the bar staff they will serve drinks in a glass but you are not allowed to take these out of the bar area (for safety reasons).

The pool area is a bit of a nightmare. You have to be prepared to be down with towels at 8am if not earlier. We used the quieter second pool at the adjacent hotel (which was shut), however this was still busy and you did get the feeling that you were sunbathing on top of each other.

We loved the beach!! Sun beds & brollies for hire at 4Euros each. The water was clean although on a couple of days jelly-fish were sighted. If you get the chance try the "Thai Massage", wonderful!!

Our family room was just about big enough. It was cleaned daily. At times it was rather noisy in the corridors but certainly no worse than any other hotel we have served in. We did not see any teenagers misbehaving, yes, they could be loud but they are on holiday!!

We did not bother with the Entertainment in the evening, preferring to sit and play cards. The bits that we heard seemed OK.

Book any trips with reception, just as good and cheaper. Take the water taxi over to San Antonio. There are loads of cheaper boat trips from the bay.

Take your own tennis & table tennis stuff if you can, when we were there only one out of the three pool tables were working.

Just returned from a family holiday to the Tanit. As previous reviewers have stated, this is a very clean hotel with brilliant staff, probably the friendliest and most efficient hotel staff I have seen in Spain.

The all inclusive package on offer is fantastic, food and drink of a good quality always available, with few restrictions.

I was interested to read the comments by the previous two reviewers "Dave 57" and "McCann", which are a very fair reflection of this hotel. I particularly agree with Dave 57's comments about the UK yob culture in this hotel. This was something that sadly, was noticeable in this hotel and spoilt an otherwise good holiday. It should be noted, that this is a very large hotel which does attract a rowdy element who deliberately slam doors late at night and generally make a lot of noise to disturb other guests. Some parents also exercise no control over their children and allow them to behave as they please, I even saw drinks being chucked down the stairs from the 1st floor. Also why do so many people feel the need to wear England shirts, shorts, bikinis, flip flops etc?

McCann's comments about the chef in snack bar are spot on. He works his socks off nearly all day making wonderful freshly cooked burgers, hot dogs etc.

Another disappointment was the evening entertainment. The fact that it is indoors does not help, but it was truly awful veering between woeful and dire. Totally lacking in quality and originality. How many times have we seen someone racing round the audience, trying to find a bra? Pathetic.

Thomson reps. also not up to much. If you don't purchase any of their overpriced excursions, it seems that they don't want to know you.

We have stayed at the Tanit 6 times before & have nothing but praise for the Hotel.

Now the down side.... we would probably not return again due to the hotel management & tour op's reps inability to deal with trouble makers on this visit and our last visit.

The UK 'yob culture' was alive & well, more so this time ( & not just isolated to teenagers, parents brawled as well). This time it was a family brawl in the rooms above from 1.30am till after 5.30am, despite numerous calls & visits to reception. Then again 3 nights later on our last night till gone 3am, with constant daytime noise of shouting/swearing & banging/crashing sounds .

Despite all guests signing a waiver that if your conduct is not good or inconsiderate to other guests you will be asked to leave. This was not enforced & they were allowed to stay. Chatting with other guests we were not the only family affected by them. It also was not an isolated family as there seemed to be several large family groups with the same purpose in mind enjoy their holidays whilst ruining as many others as possible.

Apologies for the long rant, but I feel that this small minority has been allowed to get away with this behaviour with impunity for too long.

On the up side the hotel generally is good:

Food varied & plentiful
Hotel refurbishment excellent especially air con
Cleanliness 1st class
Staff very helpful & cheerful
Entertainment only suffers from being moved indoors, unfortunately despite the very hard efforts of the team.

This hotel was excellent value for money.

The rooms were immaculate and the beds very comfortable. The food was very good and always plentiful although the layout of the food could have been improved to cut down on queues, it would have been better if the salad bar was separate from the hot food.

All staff worked very hard to please the customers and on the whole very friendly. The location was nice if you were content to stay within the hotel area but it was quite a walk to San Antonio although only 5 euros in a taxi but we only ventured down a couple of times and felt we had to get back before it got too late.

The entertainment being indoors was a definate downside for us as the room only held 1/3 of the guests. Having stayed in Fiesta Hotels for the past 8 years and enjoyed the outside entertainment this time we did not get to see one single show. The pool areas are nice and also the beach but there was an 8 O clock rush for sun beds on the sunny side of the main pool

We enjoyed going down to the Aquarium for a drink early evening and to the bar over the road for a pizza. We met some great people and all in all enjoyed our holiday.

The down side for us was unruly teenagers abusing pool tables and lying across them all day and also adults who were disobeying the lifeguard to the cost of other guests enjoyment and safety in the pool. The hotel should really be stricter with these guests and they would get much more respect.

A final mention to the chef in the snack bar - what a worker !!!!

I loved it at this hotel and want to go back next year.

There was always something to eat, good selection. Some of the bar staff could have been abit friendly- smiling at you, but the rest were nice to you.

The bedrooms were so comfy and always clean, in fact the hotel was clean ever where. They cleaned alot.

For the entertainment team well they made it the best, I loved it to bits, the show they did were so good and they but alot of hard work into it, they made you laugh so much. I loved Pico and DJ they made the activities so much fun, they work so well together and I hope there still there next year. They're the best!!!!!

This was our second visit to the Tanit having visited the same time last year. The reception and public areas had been refurbed since last year and that followed a total refurb of the rooms last year.(this winter the restaurant areas are next for a makeover)

The hotel is spotless overall and the cleaning staff work like Trojans. The rooms are as good as anything you will find in this class of hotel.

The food as been covered in detail in other reviews and is excellent (got to day 10 before we got a bit bored with all the eating).

The facilities are great and daytime activities are there if you want them with Pico and DJ working well with the guests.

If you want a prime position by the main pool you do need to be by the pool before 10am but there are two pools and it is not as bad as other reviews state (Early June, you do get people who take the towel laying to the extreme but show me a hotel in Spain where this doesn't happen!)

The hotel is positioned in a quiet area but is a 20 min walk from the west end of San Ant (I think with this you get an option of a quiet area but a busier time if you want it.)

Now for the minus points, we didn't enjoy the evening entertainment as much as last year mainly due to the fact that it has all been moved inside and space is limited, this leads to people getting in early and kids getting bored and then parents letting them run riot (mine are at an age where they do as their told but not everyone had the same respect for others! However it is a family hotel so kids come with the package)

Overall a fantastic place to come however after two years running I think we will have a change next year.

When we arrived at the Tanit the hotel seemed very clean and the staff were very friendly.

They were quick to get us settled in. The food was fab and was very varied which was excellent. The location was quite good and the beach was gorgeous. In San Antonio if you want to find the good shops head for the dock and around that area you will find all the shops and markets. This is only a twenty minute walk away.

In the hotel the staff were great and shows were on every night even though some shows were a bit boring you still had a good time. The rooms are very spacious and are tastefully decorated and are cleaned daily.

Though some noise was heard in the night from other holiday makers. Overall I would go back to the Tanit because it is a relaxing, friendly break in the sun.

P.S. I would advise you to check with your agent what type of room you have purchased before you leave for your break. xx

Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Tanit and for the first time ever I couldn't wait to get back home, a week would have been long enough at this hotel.

The hotel itself is spotless and if you arrive when the reception area is empty then you are sure to be impressed, this soon changes.

The food plenty of choice although confusing at times, I would advise a walk around both sides to see what is on offer before joining the queue. If you struggle to find a table wait next to a used one and the staff clear them straight away.

The main pool is always busy and we gave up trying to stay there. There doesn't seem to be any one spot that gets the sun all day and we did notice some people (probably in the minority) putting towels out on both sides of the pool, using one side on the morning and then moving to the other on the afternoon. We went to the beach instead which was much safer for our 3 year old and even going down at 11am you could always get a decent spot. Beds and parasols 4 Euros each for the day although I think this might increase in busier times.

The location of the hotel is terrible, the supermarket over the road is only small and shuts at 8:30. San An is a good 20-30mins walk away and if you like an evening stroll there is no where to walk to.

The play area wasn't really suitable for our 3 year old.

The hotel room itself was excellent, the nicest one we have stayed in, plenty of room, cleaned daily, nice size balcony.

The reps and the entertainment are all very friendly, although we didn't bother with the entertainment we either stayed in the bar area or sat on the sofa's.

Hired a car for 3 days and toured the island and every resort we went to was better than where we were.

This hotel was very busy and very noisy.

Well where do I start I have stayed in a previous Fiesta Hotel namely the Don Toni and the Tanit is of the same very high standard.

We emailed the hotel before we left the UK requesting a high floor and a sea view and this is exactly what we had we were on the 7th floor with a lovely view of the sea.

What greeted us on arrival at the hotel were a lobby full of teenagers play fighting and making a load of noise bearing in mind we arrived at the hotel at midnight no parents to be seen just a bunch of unruly kids which made you feel intimidated to walk through which you had to to get to the lift.

The food although a bit repetitive was plentiful and the staff in the restaurant worked very hard through, there was something for everyone, breakfasts consisted of eggs, (fried, boiled or scrambled) bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, hash browns, toast, cheeses, meats, cereals, toast, cake, croissants, biscuits, jam marmalade, yogurt, fruit, tea , chocolate, coffee, orange juice you name it , and it was probably there, lunch consisted of soup, rolls, salads, chips, jacket potatoes, mash, boiled potatoes, roast potatoes, vegetables, various meat dishes, fish, burgers, pasta, cheeses, jelly, ice cream, custard, gateaus there was certainly something there for everyone. Dinner was very similar put there was also a carvery or special dish, roast beef, paella, gammon, pork, etc besides all of this there was a snack bar running in between, with burgers, hot dogs, kebabs etc and from 1st thing in the morning there were 2 fridges full of sandwiches, various types, and 2 tea & coffee vending machines also a freezer full of different ice creams (my son had plenty of them).

The staff there work really hard and well the things they had to put up with whilst we were there rudeness, children not knowing how to behave properly, this is what spoilt our holiday for us, as there were basically running around the grounds when it go dark in gangs. My son aged 9 did comment about 2 people on the pool table under the canopy laying on top of each other kissing (tongue in cheek)(this was at 10 o'clock in the evening). There were too many incidents to mention foul language, under aged drinking because although the hotel wouldn't supply them with alcohol as they had seen their passports and they were wearing kiddie bands they could buy it in the small bar opposite or in the local shop and get drunk that way, even during the day on the beach, in front of toddlers and little children.

The cleaning staff seemed to be working constantly and all hotel staff are very proud of the hotel, the location is a bit far out so we hired a car for 4 days to get about.

The entertainment staff during the day worked hard to try and get people involved, but well the evening entertainment was a joke very amateurish, and unless you wanted to sit there and reserve a table from 6.30ish onwards then you wouldn't get a seat and the entertainment didn't start until 10pm, which we did go to one evening and it wasn't worth the wait, especially to lose so many hours waiting.

Not sure if its true but it did seem to be the hotel has lost it outside licence this was due to complaints about the noise levels from neighbours which is why the dining terrace outside is not open also the entertainment stage outside isn't used which is a shame.

There are 2 pools the better one being within the grounds by the Cala Gracio Hotel/ Tennis Courts, but be prepared to get up early we British knocked the spots off the Germans. I watched people with arms full of towels more than they could comfortably carry struggling down to reserve sun beds at 8am 10+ at a time so anyone that got up at a normal time after breakfast had no chance, the Thomson Rep (Ian was great very helpful)said that their hands were tied as there are other tour operators within the hotel therefore they can't remove towels from the beds as there has been several complaints about this.

There are sat televisions within the rooms but well only 3 channels in English world news, eurosport and the travel channel (which we watched mostly when we were getting ready to go out)rooms spacious, also for the ladies hairdryer already there and a good one no need to take this with you.

The hotel/holiday was spoilt by unruly rude British children who didn't know how to behave.

Just returned from the Tanit having read reviews I was expecting a lot.

The food is not excellent - yes its OK but its typical spanish hotel fare -basic and repetitive in just one week but on all inclusive basis its plentiful.

The hotel is clean - the only thing making a mess are the kids spilling drinks in the lifts and messing the toilets - but the staff do work hard.If the Tanit was not all inclusive I guess it would be less than half empty - as it is its full to bursting in June with people enjoying the constant drink and food.

The location is awful - there is nothing around the Tanit , if you want a decent supermarket you walk at least 20 mins. There are two tiny bars and a very small mini mart outside.

There is a small cove nearby but it is not cleaned like a main beach and is full of fag ends. If you want a sun lounger be prepared to rise early as we - the English have now taken over from the Germans for the "Towel laying " title !!

The hotel has got sports facilities but the evening entertainment is poor - not up to working mens club standard although the staff do try its really for the kids. Good luck.

We stayed at the hotel tanit 2 weeks ago. When we arrived we went to reception and got our room keys/cards and went to our rooms to unpack. The rooms were excellent! They were modern and clean and we had a perfect view even though we were only on the first floor.

The food was excellent! I loved it! There was something for everyone and at 4:30 pm they brought out biscuits and cakes! The waiters/waitresses were hard working and they never semmed to stop working! the food was excellent(I wouldn't want to go into detail because there is so much choice!)

The location of the hotel was very good, but they didn't have any shops or cafes around. The nearest shops are a 20 minute walk away in San Antonio and there is a cafe/aquarium nearby(follow the sighns you should see them) the hotel has its own private beach just around the corner, check it out!

The hotel staff were friendly and funny and do lots of activities during the day (apart from children activities the hardly have any) all the staff are friendly appart from certain receptionists.

The entertainment was excellent they have something different almost everynight appart from the 2 musicals but they are really funny too!

Sorry it is really long!
I'm only a kid :-) but its my opinon!

Just returned from the Tanit. The rooms were absolutely lovely. Clean, air conditioned double glazed. We were on the first floor overlooking the pool so when the door was open it could be noisy but as soon as you closed the door you couldn't hear a thing.

Food was not bad. Lots of choice.

Pool was lovely and clean. Smaller pool for little children. Small private beach just down a few steps which was really nice.

Hotel seemed a bit far from everything but San Antonio is only 15 minutes walk away.

We made loads of friends which is easy if you join in games during the day etc.

Overall I felt the hotel was a really safe environment to let your children off the leash a bit to wander and make friends. They had a small playpark right near the entertainment part so you could keep your eye on them.

'Some' of the bar staff could have been a little friendlier at times but the best part for me was the Fiesta entertainment team. They were on the go from morning till 12pm at night. They never let you sit around bored between activities. The time between the childrens disco, bingo and the nighttime show they played a game involving the audience.

They did a couple of professional shows and they did a lot of the shows themselves. Lion King, Moulin Rouge, Mama Mia etc and I found that the shows they put on were the superior ones!

They must get tired but they were always so enthusiastic as though it was their first day. You win cheap bottles of champagne and a certificate if you won any games during the day and have to get on stage to collect them that evening.

We made some lovely friends and are all booking to go back again next year. So Pico, BT, Airi, Kris and the rest of the Fiesta entertainment team thank you and I hope you'll all be there next year and look forward to another fantastic holiday.

Anyone looking for a relaxing, fun filled holiday you will not be disappointed.

We visited the Hotel Tanit in July for 14 nights. The hotel is spotlessly clean with maid service every day and clean towels. Our room was very spacious with 3 single beds and a pull out bed. It air conditioning is free and a godsend.

The hotel was refurbished during the winter of 2004/2005. It is a large hotel that is great for families. This was our first all-inclusive and we would definitely do it again.

The pool bar opens from 10am- midnight. The staff were all very friendly especially with the kids. I thought the food was really good but if you like pie and chips every day you might not.

Lots of fresh salads and fruit, hot and cold meals as well.

The Hotel Tanit next to the beach at Cala Gracio. You can catch a water taxi across to San Antonio only 3 euros or walk about 20 mins into town.

You must go see the sunset at Cafe Mambo it is a fantastic atmosphere and just a walk down the beach. Be aware Cafe Mambo charges about 10 euros for 2 beers so do what the locals do and buy your beer at the supermarket and sit on the rocks. We love Ibiza and would always go back.

This hotel is spotlessly clean.

The bedrooms are very spacious and tastefully refurbished with good air con. Maids clean rooms thoroughly every day and provide clean towels daily.

Restaurant is pleasantly cool and food is of a good quality and very plentiful. Menu a little repetitive after the first week but plenty of choice.

Hotel staff very pleasant and efficient, without exception. Bar staff cheery, even the cleaners pass the time of day with you.

The hotel is not in an ideal location ie. in the middle of nowhere! It's a good 20 min walk into San An or 5 euros in a taxi. To this end, the evening entertainment needs to be improved eg. more professional shows.

The Hotel Entertainment staff do work endlessly all day and evening but the evening entertainment was at best laughable and at worst downright painful to watch. However this did not spoil a lovely holiday.

If you go to this hotel, you will find the pool at the Cala Gracio Hotel within the grounds is quieter and prettier than the big pool at the Tanit. There are plenty of sunbeds at both pools and no need to get up at the crack of dawn to stake your claim to them.

This hotel is the best I have stayed in. The food was excellent, even the fussiest of eaters will find something here. The hotel in general was always very clean. The rooms were cleaned daily as were all the public areas. The location is lovely, our balcony had a great view of the sea and the area surrounding the hotel is quiet and peaceful. The hotel staff work extremely hard, especially the waiters who have to wait until we have all finished drinking up before they can clear up. The entertainment staff were fantastic and also work extremely hard to make sure everyone - young and old enjoy themselves. I don't know where they get their energy from, (especially Jordi and Pico) They organise activities throughout the day and then go on to entertain you throughout the evening. There are various dances to learn and I advise everyone to have a go, they aren't that hard to do and its quite fun really.

I would reccomend this hotel not just to people with children as at the grand ages of 24 and 26, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Its perhaps not for your typical "clubbers" although you don't have to stay in the hotel in an evening and a taxi ride into town is only about 5 euros

I would definately go back to this hotel again, in fact I will book it asap.

This hotel was nothing short of fantastic. The hotel staff were polite and helpful (the hotel also arranges excursions etc, which are cheaper than the travel companies).

The hotel was spotless and everyone seemed to abide by the no noise after midnight rule. There was no need to get up at 5am to get a sun bed, a stroll to one of the six pools at anytime would guarantee you a bed as there were enough sunbeds for at least two per person.

The restaurant staff were superb and the food was lovely and plentiful. The hotel entertainment staff seemed to work very hard all day every day to ensure everyone had a good time, the majority of the evening entertainment was especially impressive(the Mama Mia rendition was unmissable).

Rooms are clean and of a good size with air conditioning, views over the bay are lovely .

Would not hesitate to re-visit this hotel, the Fiesta group obviously have a very good reputation which they are very keen on upholding.

The Hotel Tanit is the eighth different A/I we have visited over the last ten years.

Hotel gave the first impression of a older hotel with new fixtures and fittings ,spotlessly clean, rooms nice size with fantastic views ( we were lucky enough to be allocated an adjoing room at no extra cost which my two kids loved).

The food was as you expect plenty of, but repeated the following week, it was well presented and varied.

The location of the hotel was not a problem for us as it is only a couple of k/ms from San Antonio the best way to walk this is along the sea front its a little rocky for a bit but easily done and it brings you out around The Golden Buddah and Cafe del Mar ...(Drink time) or get the bus it stops outside the little shop opposite the hotel 1.5 euro each.

The staff were very good especially with all the kids,..the reps were ok but then again holiday reps are.... holiday reps.. they try but maybe not hard enough.

Entertainment, mmmm. Have seen a lot better but for effort you could not fault the team ,daytime activities were as normal, darts, archery, shooting all done very well.

As for noise, had dozens of holidays and havent been to one yet where kids dont run round and parents turn a blind eye (probably never will). You have to live with it , too many people put obstacles in front of themselves.

One tip hire a car and tour the island. Its quite small but full of beautiful coves....Return... YES quite easily

Location for us it was fantastic in a quiet setting but if you wanted more, less then 10 mins walk and you had bars shops. Hotel staff brilliant so helpful, entertainment staff great. There were 4 adults two 17 year olds 14 & 11. We joined in something everyday.

We had fantastic sea view rooms with nothing blocking your view, and we had three rooms next to each other. The beach very clean and safe with easy access.Plenty of sunbeds round the pools.

This hotel to me should be upgraded to a 4+.

Would we go back YES please.

We've just returned from the hotel Tanit having really enjoyed it.

Having read reviews saying the rooms weren't great we arrived to find they had been refurbished complete with air con.

We found hotel and entertainment staff very friendly ,evening entertainment from the proffessional shows was poor but the entertainment staff always put on a good show there were a variety of kids clubs in the day and a mini disco early evening.P

lenty of adult activities during the day as well. The food was not bad but the dining staff were friendly and efficient.

There isn't a lot in the area around the hotel so you would need to walk into San Antonio for a bit of life. We found it cheaper to hire a car rather than pay prices for excursions .

We would go back to this hotel in the future.

Having never been all inclusive before or never even considered Ibiza before it was daunting when we landed at the airport for a 7 day break. But hey, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Hotel Tanit is excellent in every way.

Food selection at every meal is fab, every food you can ever wish for.

Hotel is spotless, every day they clean from top to bottom.

Location is great for everybody, right next to two beaches, and some hidden caves should you like to explore.

Staff in general okay depending if you are polite to them and take an interest in them. The problem comes that a lot of holiday makers are just plain right idiots, and uneducated idiots at that and just abuse the staff.

Entertainment great.

We stayed at the hotel in mid September and were a bit worried about what the weather would be like. We needn't have bothered as it was lovely, we didn't even get any rain during the fortnight.

We found the hotel to be excellent for families with something for eveyone.

The food was lovely, varied, hot and labeled so that you knew what you were eating. Lots of fruit and veg and not just chips. They even cooked some food in front of you and had a focus to the food (such as a cake section one night and a pancakes with sauce another, as well as a cavery most nights).

The hotel also offers packed lunches which although basic (bread, water, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit and cake) were just what the doctor ordered if you were hungry on the beach.

Snacks were also available in between meals and ice cream was in freezers at the bar (there was chocolate milk shake at the bar as well - the kids liked this and I had it with snaps - yum)

The hotel was very clean and you could always see staff doing something, cleaning the pool, jet washing the patio etc.

Entertainment was adequate at night and during the day the team always worked hard to make sure everyone was having a good time. Kids club was really good - the kids loved it and we got time off.

We also ate out (supper mostly) this was due to us enoying the restaurant on the corner where to roundabout is (on the way to San An)- the olives with bread and garlic mayo is out of this world, as is the tapas there. Oh - I can also recommend the paella here as well, delicious.

Finally - the pools were good and not too packed, although I didn't find the main pool sunny enough, we spent our afternoons by the sister hotels pools, easier to watch the kids as its smaller (and a little sun trap).

One final recommendation is the bar just down the road where there is an aquarium. You can get a boat from here or watch the sunset to the sounds of chilled out Ibiza (wicked)

After just spending a week in Turkey all inclusive - with rubbish food and entertainment, it really makes you appreciate how good the Tanit really is (by the way, if you go at this time of year there is no need for air con - we slept fine and even had a room above the speakers - ok - quiet as anything after midnight)

Hotel was dated but cleaned constantly. The stair carpet was quite marked when we arrived but was cleaned thoroughly while we were there, leaving only the chewing gum that the guests had dropped on it!

The food was very good and there was always something to suit all tastes. Breakfast consisted of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, full English, bread, rolls, croissants, jams, cheese, cold meat, cakes, toast etc.

We only had lunch twice but there was a good choice of salad, pasta, fruit etc. Sandwiches were available from the bar outside, as was tea and coffee (at all times).

The evening meal was very good and no, you didn't have to have chips with everything! In fact I didn't have them at all. Some of the dishes included paella, t-bone steak, roast pork, mussels and also crepe Suzette.

The location was good, right by the beach where we went snorkelling which our older children really enjoyed. There is a small supermarket by the hotel and two bar/restaurants - my husband was pleased that they had they occasional football game on Sky! Hotel is within walking distance to San Antonio.

We found the hotel staff to be very nice, especially if you were nice to them and showed a little respect and were friendly to them - behaviour breeds behaviour!

The staff (Fiesta and Thomson) all worked very hard and although the entertainment wasn't always to our taste you couldn't criticise the time and effort spent on it. Our children enjoyed the entertainment and the activities although they didn't join the kid's clubs.

We booked two adjoining rooms with a fridge, and although the fridge wasn't there on arrival the staff quickly dealt with the problem.

We used the pool of the Cala Gracio hotel which was smaller and quieter but only about 50 yards away and nearer to the beach. A real bonus (both pools) was the lifeguard that was on duty which left us to relax.

To sum up:
- a good hotel for families
- great choice of food
- excellent all-inclusive drinks
- fun entertaining staff
- spacious rooms but could benefit from air-con.
- friendly staff

This hotel is only spoilt by the guests that at times can make you feel embarrassed to be British. One example being the litter left for the staff to clear up before the evenings entertainment (plenty of litter bins around).

We have just returned from holidany in Hotel Fiesta Tanit and this is our second visit to the hotel.
Staff are really helpful and friendly. Hotel is extremely clean and you have the use of two pools one in the Tanit itself and one nextdoor in Cala Gracio hotel both are family friendly.
The Hotel is in need of air conditioning in the bedrooms but we have been informed they are going to install this in winter 2004 which will greatly improve the hotel.

Since we last visited in 2002 bathrooms have been updated, decor in the rest of the hotel slightly old fashioned but does not spoil your holiday at all.

Cold water is available in resteraunt and also at the pool area. Anyone with small children could easily make their own soft drinks.

Food selection very good and our children aged 14 and 10 were able to help themselves to a large selection of foods.

Walk into St. Antonio is about 20 mins but the local bus leaves from just outside the hotel and the walk back is quite pleasant when it it not too hot.

Glass bottom boat trip from the harbour is well worth the money for all ages and can be booked direct from hotel reception as can most other trips too.

Congratulations to Hotel Tanit for another brilliant
family holiday.

Where to start. I had some reservations regarding this holiday due to previous reports that I had read on this site, however, this turned out to be unfounded. True the hotel Tanit is slightly dated and could do with a refurb and yes it does need aircon, but rather than moan about it throughout the holiday and in this report my wife and I took a fan with us which made sleeping really comfortable and ensured that our 10 month old was comfy.

I booked directly with the hotel and requested both a cot and a fridge, which we received no questions asked and without having to book adjoining rooms. The room was cleaned to a high standard daily and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was also to a high standard.

We were in a group of 12 and the only problem this caused was not being to sit together at every meal, but for the majority of the meals we were together(apologies for our rather loud baby at meal times). The food on the whole was really good and the variety was there if you looked beyond having burger & chips and a fry up for every meal. The carvery section provided some excellent alternatives to the main hotplates and salad bar. There was plenty of fresh fruit and veg and we found that we could feed out baby no problem with what was on offer.

We foundt the staff at the hotel to be friendly and approachable and in the main would do all that they could to assist us with any issues we had. The facilities were average with the main pool being quite overcrowded on most days, and yes people are sat by the pool to ensure they get the best spots, placing chairs with towels on until the beds are unchained at 08:00, this did not cause a problem for our large group because we went down to the pool of the hotel Cala Gacio, wich is almost a part of the Tanit, this was much nicer and avoided being subjected to the booming music that was put on by the reps during the day.

The entertainment at the hotel was what you made of it. The kids had a number of kids clubs to attend and were well looked after and involved with the activities they provided. For the adults we had a different act every night (2 weeks) and this ranged from being really good to a little embarrassing, again as a group we got a couple of tables together and if the act was not to our particular liking we played cards or actually talked to each other and had a great time most nights.

The location of the hotel was, to me, perfect. It was within easy walking distance of San An, either along the coast path or main road, admittedly the surrounding areas are a little shoddy but you cant have everything, just over the road from the hotel are two bars/restaurants, good for an alternative meal if you want a change from the hotel, and accross the road from the hotel is a path that rins down to a bar called Cap Blanc which is great for the sunsets and a jug or 2 of sangria and there is also an aquarium there, which I was told was great value for money.

We have just got back from the Tanit today and felt we needed to express our opinion of it. The reception area is generally clean and tidy although the decor throughout the hotel is very dated and in desperate need of a refurb. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE BOOKING OF ROOMS, we were misled into believing we had booked connecting rooms, we were only given one 4 bedded room and told that we had to pay for two rooms to get connecting rooms although we had paid a supplement. In August the weather is very hot and the fan is inadequate, aircon is definately needed in the rooms! Restaurant is clean and the food is generally good with a wide choice, although you can only get tea or coffee at breakfast time. The hotel attracts quite a lot of older teenagers and families especially at this time of the year.

The bar staff are generally efficient, however, the outside bar closes at midnight and they expect you to be drunk up and off the patio by 12.10, if you do not move they threaten to remove your drinks and get quite agressive with the chairs, slamming them around. We reported this to the Thomson rep, who spoke to the manager, he said he did not know anything about this and said he would put a stop to it, as we should be allowed to sit outside as long as we want to have a quiet chat with friends. This, however, seemed to fall on deaf ears of the bar staff because they reacted the same every night.

Pool area is definately not big enough for the hotel. Plenty of beds nowhere to put them though! The sister hotel has a nice pool but that gets busy at this time of the year.

Be aware of the hotel shop owner. Not a very nice person. We were accused of being liars and thiefs when we asked for a bag, that we had purhcased from the shop, to be exchanged that had broken after only 1 days use. Understandably, we were very upset and avoided using the shop again. There is a very nice bar and shop over the road from the hotel, much friendlier!

Overall the hotel is ok and suits its purpose. It is very near to San Antonio and therefore is quite attractive to older teenagers! The rooms facing the front are noisier as buses, cars, clubbers and dogs! barking at all hours can keep you awake. We would not go back to this hotel again, but we did have a nice holiday and the weather was excellent.

We stayed at the Tanit for 2 weeks in July of this year and found it to be en excellent family hotel.

Upon our arrival at the hotel we were greeted at reception with a cool drink, only fruit juice but just what we needed, and were booked in and allocated our room quickly and efficiently.

The room was spotlessly clean, with a lovely refurbished bathroom. We were at the front of the hotel but didn't have any problems with noise. The only suggestion we have to better the rooms would be to add air con, and update the decor.

The cleanliness throughout the whole hotel was first class, cleaners could still be seen checking toilets, and cleaning them if needed, at midnight.

We felt the food was good, especially as we have a fussy 5yr old child, that won't even eat chips, who managed to find something different to eat every day.

The location was ideal for us as with it only being a 15 min walk along the coast, or short boat trip to San Antonio town we were close enough to the biz if we wanted it, but far enough away if we didn't.

The staff were very courteous and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, especially the reps caberet evenings, Kids club fantastic, 2 hours of freedom every day.

Enjoyed it that much we were home a week and re-booked for next Summer.

All areas of the hotel are really clean and nice and airy. The rooms were left really clean every day.
The food was excellent and our children had no problems in finding something to fill them up, even our 11 month old. Would have liked to get a coffee with our evening meals other than just breakfast though.

The location was excellent for us as it was quiet outside of san Antonio, especially at night. We requested a quiet room as all 3 of our children are very young and was allocated a room right above the stage on the pool side, (asked to move but they could not accommodate us) which was very noisy at nights even with the door shut (which the children found very difficult to sleep in) One of the best things was that the noise level came to a standstill at midnight each night which for a family hotel i think is essential.

The staff in the reception areas are very friendly and went out of their way to help us on a number of occasions, but i have to say the rest of the staff especially the bar staff around the pool were very miserable and treated you just like a number in a queue waiting for drinks, also miserable with the children.

We spent most of the time down by the lower pool which was a lot quieter in the day and very safe for small children. Although we did notice that this was not cleaned daily and every 4-5 days the area got very gritty on your feet when getting out of the pool.

Excellent childrens clubs and superb childrens reps.

right the hotle was ok but, some things did not take my amuzment. Rooms were cleaned everyday and that tended to be good, and also the hotel was very clean in all areas.

Along with that food at the Tanit was also good, but was very repetitive on some days, the restaurant was clean but wasnt best. On busy hours around dinner about 6, there would be no where to sit due to emptey table had not been cleared. There was staff there to do it but 1 in particular called the pimp jus liked chatting up girls instead of doing his job. Next was the way the staff in the restaurant spoke to you, they came across very agressive when u tried to leave the restaurant with food or a drink in your hand, in any other hotel you would be aloud to take food out, but not in this one.

The location, i admit was superb, placed 5 mins away from san antonio it was great for the shops. Also two bars next to the hotel were fantastic, where you could get a proper pint an not a water downed version they were giving us in the hotel.

The entertainment staff were fantastic in the day, why at night they wernt so good, luky we made friends who made holiday fantastic by drinking to early hours in morning, which stopped us from watching the awful entertainment. A few bar staff were freindly all the other were quite aggressive towards us. Now this might be beacause we were getting the drinks for free, and not giving tips frm left over change if we were to buy them. apart from that the bar was ok.

The hotels structure wasnt so good, as we had a storm one night an ended up having the reception ceiling leek with water down on us the next moring, it was an utter disgrace. The games room for the kids was closed, due to ceiling falling down, and the kidds disco was closed to, that due to they didnt have enough staff to run it. I also didnt lik the way hotel staff (not thomson staff) were blaming the children for things in the hotel that happened months maybe years ago before they had even came to the hotel. That was not on.

Was worried about previous review about located in a ghetto, but this turned not to be my opinion. The area has good facilities with an aquarium and 2 GREAT beaches - Cala Gracio and cala Gracionetta - superb beaches ! Cleanliness is perfect - zero complaints. food was run of the mill - typical brit food - chips , burgers etc but then if thats what they are asked for thats what they get and thats what most were asking for. Entertainment was "OK". We would visit this hotel again, the location is perfect being just 10 mins walk from San Antonio Sunset coast and in a quiet yet accessible area for the more discerning tourist who is prepared to make the effort to explore this beautiful area rather than stay in the all inclusive "brit" environment. There are some great bars / restaurants within walking distance.

Visited this hotel on 10th July , 13 in total in the group , the hotel has a large open reception area with plenty seating in it , it is fully air-conditioned which was great when returning from a walk into San Antonio , we were registered and booked into our room very quickly and efficiently.

Rooms are very basic and only have a ceiling fan (no air-conditioning) , this was no problem for us as we had a room at the rear of the hotel , however others in our party had rooms over-looking the pool which have sunlight on them for most of the day so the rooms did become very hot and therefore the ceiling fan was inadequate.

Rooms were cleaned and made up daily with new linen issued once per week.

The resturant area was tidy and well maintained and the food was always plentiful and hot , the choices were excellent , however toward the end of the two week holiday it did become a bit repetitive , the bar staff were efficient , some were friendly others not so , this may be due to the fact that it is all-inclusive and not many tips are given , their was a bar woman called Rene who always had a smile for everyone and was always very cheery.

The pool is of a reasonable size and one good point i liked was they did not allow large inflatables into the pool therefore making sure the pool did not look like an inflatable with water around it (small cylindrical inflatables were allowed) , they are plently of sunbeds available but as usual a lot of people were up at the crack of dawn to ensure a prime space , we usually went to the pool around 10 am and usually managed to get a space , albeit in a shadied area (you do eventually get the sun at some point during the day).

The pool also has a lifeguard and first aider constantly overseeing all the shenanigans around the pool.

The Tanit has a sister hotel next door (The Cala Gracio) this was closed during our stay but the pool at this hotel could still be used.

The entertainment staff were exceelent , i have never been on a holiday where i have seen the entertainers work so hard , so well done , Jenny , Anna , Marcel and the rest of the team , one point however is that the evening entertainment is no so good , they have a couple of professional acts on , the dancers they put on were good , forget the Human Volcano , very poor act indeed , if the Tanit could support their own staff with better and more varied professional acts this hotel would be an outstanding holiday choice , (i have previously visited much smaller aprtments on Ibiza which was family owned and they had put professional acts on 10 nights out of 14 , surely the Fiesta group can do this also ???)

Overall the hotel was very good and in turn we had a good holiday.

Just got back from hotel tanit 30/6/2004.
Ok i'll be totally honest dont pack to many clothes we spent all our time in shorts and t-shirt and sue my partner shorts bikini top and bottoms.
The hotel is ideal for families and couples, we went as a couple and we do like night life, (we are late thirtys/fortys).

I'll start with the rooms they are pretty much basic and i recomend you take a fan, the air con in the rooms are awful we had trouble sleeping but as i said if we had a fan it would have been perfect. But to be fair the hotel was nice and cool downstairs.

Ok now to the food, we found the food a little repetetive but otherwise above average some things did get to me though... like chips in the morning for gods sake i know we brits like our chips but in the morning no thanks.

Now let me ask you when you come home from work and sit down to eat your tea i dont know about you but i love a nice cup of tea with my meal, well thats the problem you dont get any, only at breakfast what about an afternoon brew i hear you ask? sorry but no chance ps same applies if your a coffee lover the only way is if you run out to the pool area get a plastic cup and make your own, drinking tea out of a plastic cup YUK!!!
But you can get cold drinks in the dining room at all meal times, but as i said only being allowed one hot drink with a meal really wound me up.

Now to the nightlife well what can i say there is stacks of it.
Get a bus into the town you cant go wrong and best of all you can make it all nite partying ...or lively but not to much there are plenty of shops stalls and sights to see we went for a week and we were still finding different things to do and places to see.

Now i've got to recomend the glass bottom boat cruise, this is a definate must its a seven hour trip visiting islands ,coves you can swim with the fish sunbath on some of the beaches ,you even get a meal thrown in if you dont do anything else you gotta do this the reps by the way are fantastic if you need anything just ask they go out of there way to get it for you.... errm a cup off tea with your evening meal is the only exception, that is out off there hands although they are going to mention it at the next reps meeting.

Well all in all we had a great time apart from one or two things i can recomend this hotel and would apreciate anyone letting me know any update cos were thinking of going back but i dont fancy packing a fan and a kettle and a box of tea bags hopefully this will get sorted by then, say hello to mannello he owns the bar next to the hotel this is a great place for a drink and if you fancy it, he does a really great breafast as well if ever you miss yours oh and a nice pot of tea.

He stays open longer than the hotel bar which closes at twelve am which is another gripe but we preferd going into town after or somtimes we went over to the bar its not far to stagger about 100 yards anyway enjoy yourself we would apreciate any feedback thanks ....John. Sue

All public areas like the bars, restaurant, and pool area were very clean and well maintained. The room that we had was quite basic in decoration but did have a nice new looking bathroom, the downside to the room was that there is no way of locking the door from the inside, to stop our 2 1/2 year old son escaping we had to block the door with a table.... not good in an emergency!

We could not fault the hotel staff, all hardworking and polite at all times, the entertainment team were good with the children but were sadly lacking where the adults were concerned, and the visiting entertainment was pretty rubbish to be honest.

Although the hotel and its grounds were nice, the surrounding area let it down, it was like going for a walk in a ghetto. However, with the main part of the san antonio nightlife a 20 minute walk away it was ideally situated for either a peaceful or lively holiday.

Absolutely no problem with the food, there was so much choice, and so much of it that we found ourselves eating for the sake of it.... not good if you are on a diet !

A little bit of care is needed when walking by the swimming area, as i found out (nearly breaking my still bruised arm) the stairs were very slippery ( we mentioned this in our comments form)

We would have no hesitation in visiting this hotel again

This was the best holiday we have had by far. The food was fantastic and there is a wide choice for everyone.

Everywhere is so clean and the maids visit daily. San Antonio is a nice walk away and we visited it everyday.

There is a lovely beach within the hotel grounds down quite a few steps, so maybe not so good for buggies etc. The staff are friendly and made us feel welcome. A great family holiday we have booked to go again next year .

Just returned from this hotel - really enjoyed our stay. The all inclusive was excellent - food wonderful. At least 5 different choices for lunch and dinner. Main pool at the hotel very busy - plenty of beds but nowhere to put them. We used the pools at the sister hotel on the same complex - lifeguard on duty all the time and plenty of room. Much nicer.

Went to the Aquamar waterpark in Playa d'en Bossa - don't pay what they want for this trip - ask if you can book the Fiestaland bus. They don't advertise it, but we found out from some friends we made at the hotel. It goes Monday, Wednesday and Friday and only costs 2 euros 10 per person, compared to the 10 euros that the hotel wanted for their coach and even more that Thomson wanted for their trip!! You can get the tickets from the hotel reception at the same time - tickets are 14 euros for adult and 7 for children. Be quick to book when you arrive, because it only has about 12 seats and picks up at the other fiesta hotels in San Antonio. Drops you at the Fiestaland complex, about 100 yards from the waterpark entrance. Reps excellent - hardly saw my 2 boys. Always wanted to go to the Kids Club in the day, then they have 3 evening sessions 7.00 - 8.30, which meant that you could have a meal in peace whilst they were at the club. We would definitely return to this hotel
