| said: As you can see from the scoring on the side we thought this was the best hotel we ever stayed in. When we arrived we were given a room on the first floor which isnt very good as it is level with the solarium and I just didnt feel safe for by not having any view. The next morning we asked at reception for a new room and were given 6th floor with pool view an excellant room. The cleansliness was second to none we had clean towels every single day. The food in the hotel was brill and we always found somthing to eat, anyone just going be sure and try the sea bass it was amazing. We also liked the location of the hotel it was far away from the strip but in a very nice area, we loved manos that was facing also the piano bar on the roundabout and a little kareoke bar called Rendevous. The owner of this last bar called Adrian was an excellant host. The daytime entertainment round the pool was fantastic shooting boules water polo volleyball archery and all the big kids including hubby had a ball. We didnt see much evening entetainment as we always went out. WE would love to go back to this hotel again and are really jealous of anyone going out now, if you are going say hello to the entertainment team from Les in Scotland I am sure they will remember him.

The Hotel is the best one I have ever stayed in .The food is always spot on, Plenty of choice.
The pool area is fine with plenty of sunbeds, also a small childrens pool, I prefer the beach because the pool area can get a bit busy.
The location of the Hotel is great because its away from the main area of bars , but close enough to walk to the strip if thats what you want.
The hotel staff are friendly , I don't know about entertainment because we go out .although during the day there is a great entertaiment programm for children and adults.
I cant wait to go to this hotel again only down side is I have to wait 49 weeks !!!

| said: Stayed here many times before, and it was excellent, but this year rubbish. It was full of groups of golfers and bikers, great in the day , nice and peaceful, but mostly males and out till all hours at night.
Be warned the walls are that thin on the top 2 floors you can hear their conversations, not nice. Ask for lower floors better off noise wise.
Food was excellent as always, Staff fine and pleasant, but this year was understaffed in the restaurant and tables taking ages to take away your plates etc. but the food makes up for this. Rooms are lovely and big.
Pool always clean and plenty of sunbeds. The entertainment was almost nil, although beginning of season, been before late and early and always had a show on not this year though, probably because too early. Don't think would go here again if full of groups, if you are a group ideal for you.

| said: Just returned from a weeks stay in Magaluf. Excellent Hotel, rooms cleaned daily, overall cleanliness was excellent.
Food in hotel was fantastic, full English with everything you needed. You could also have other styles of breakfasts if you preferred.
Hotel pool is very good and has a lifeguard which surprised me as most places I have been there has not been one.
Resort itself is great, recommed Rambo's restaurant and Happy House on the Beach Front. One suggestion would be to get tickets for the waterparks in Magaluf, do not pay on the door as it was more expensive.
The only issue with the hotel and this has been mentioned by other people are the thin walls. It is a little annoying but turn the TV on and the air-con and it is fine. Overall a great holiday and a great place to stay will definately be going back.
Prices:
Pint Lager - Average - 2 Euros
Meal for 2 (With Drink) - 20 Euros

The only compaints I have was the walls are very thin and you could hear the people next door talking/watching tv etc. Also the staff did chase you away from the pool at 6pm to tidy away the sun beds.

| said: We booked for 13 girls on my hen week at the Guadalupe. We booked independently with XL Airways, and directly with the hotel - well it was brilliant!
We had such a laugh on the plane, we got given free champagne and snacks for all of us as it was a special occasion - all staff on the plane were great. Flight on time too!
Got to Palma and taxi to Magaluf about 30-40 euros, so not bad. Got to hotel and we checked in and paid upfront, quite quick and efficient.
Weather was fantastic all week and didn't rain once! The hotel is mostly for couples and families and the hotel was very busy which made getting sunbeds a chore!
We were ok though, we were well behaved in the daytime! On our first day, we were constantly told by the 'pool manager' (ha!) " You cant' lie there, you can't put your sunbed there" etc etc! was funny really, a little man with a big attitude! However, we got up early and dutifully put our towels out, like everyone else did!!!(Even though there was a 'strict' rule that you couldn't do that!- What rubbish!)
Food in this hotel was amazing! After a heavy night on the lash, a bacon, sausage and egg bap was fab, and as much cereal, omlettes, toast and every preserve under the sun, juices anD tea and coffee, we thought brekkie was great!
We stayed in 5/7 nights for tea too, great selection from traditional Spanish food to good ol'British roast beef and mash (if you want it!!)plus usual favourites, pizza, lasagne, pasta, chips etc. Very good choice and out of the 13 of us, we rarely complained about the food.
Rooms were spacious and roomy, with good aircon, cleaned daily with fresh towels, maids are a credit to the hotel and so friendly and nice.
Pool was lovely, we got good sunbeds (by getting up about 7.30 to put towels on - well there were 13 of us!) Pool entertainment was good too, aqua aerobics was fun and quite energetic, warded off the old hangover! Pool bar was reasonable for drinks and great for snacks - Slush puppies are a must!
Bar inside ok, service a lot to be desired, seemed to serve everyone else under the sun before you, even when you told them 'excuse me, I was next!' - Manners were lost on them! Be pushy, that seemed to work!!!
Hotel entertianment was funny - dead cheesy and you heard them rehearsing all day if you stayed by the pool! Was ok though, we saw a magic show and a traditional dance one night, then went into Magaluf after (which is 5 mins walk away).
Hotel was clean and well maintained, would definitely go there again with the girls, Magaluf is not really a resort to go to if you want a quiet relaxing holiday, but it was great for us and I had the greatest hen do!!
Have fun there! And go to Coyote Ugly - best bar in Magaluf man!!!!

The food in this Hotel was the best I have ever had when it comes to Sol Hotels infact most hotels I have stayed in have never had such an array of food...good food something for everyone.
The Hotel is a 5 min walk to the beach and 1 min to the night life.
The Hotel entertainment team were fantastic, my 9 year old daughter enjoys watching the nightly shows a long with 100's of other guests...you need to get a table at 9pm as by 10 pm showtime there is no where left to sit it's that popular!
I would definatley return to this hotel, the rooms were clean and modern, the food and staff were fantastic.

| said: We had requested adjoining rooms, pool view and low floor and were delighted to be given 403 & 402 ( out of 9 floors) Rooms had lovely view of pool and to the right the hills.
Rooms had an extra bed in each which admittedly limited space but were very well maintained with daily towel change and cleaning. Each room had a tv with BBc1, BBC2 & Sky New and BBC World along with air con and a ceiling fan. Room safes were old key type and cost 2euros per day plus deposit. Car parking was also 2euros a day and fridges cost 30e per week.
Restaurant was the best I have ever seen. Two soups daily, bread baked in restaurant and varied salad choices. Girls were happy with Italian section with fresh pizza and pasta. Waiters and waitresses were very friendly and provided drink service to table - 50cl water 1.40e and beer 1.85e.
Reception was well maintained and security guards were visiable on a couple of occasions. Pool area was well maintained but it was difficult to get a sunbed withour being by the pool for 8.30.
Hotel accepts hen and stag parties and they arrived Fridays onwards. (Not too much noise)
Girls only used Kids club a couple of times but enjoyed face painting and t shirt printing.
Witnessed a brilliant Flamenco show one night but didn't stay in at night.

| said: When we booked on the internet we asked for lower floor rooms as I cannot go in lifts due to being claustrophobic. When we arrived at about 10pm we found we were given rooms on the 5th floor. The man on reception was very nice when we asked to be moved but said he'd change us the next morning as it was a bit late. Our rooms had a lovely pool view but they changed us to rooms on the second floor with a view of the car park. Not very nice. They said they didnt have any others but I didn't understand why when half the hotel was empty. It all became clear when three days later 1800 new guests arrived, so I guess the rooms had been prepared for them and that's why they wouldn't let us have them. They were a huge group of Spanish parents and their sons who had come for a football tournament. The hotel let all of these guest book in from 7am onwards. The noise was unbearable and woke everybody up but when we complained to reception they didn't really want to know. We thought you weren't allowed to book in until after 10am.
The rooms were very clean and the maid came every day though the bath and sink were never cleaned. The walls are very very thin and you can even hear what the people in the next room were saying especially if you were in the bathroom. I could hear my brother-in-law snoring two rooms away!
A word of caution, the hotel reception gave two new guests a swipe card for my sister-in-law's room by mistake. I don't know if they'd forgotten that we'd moved rooms but she got the shock of her life when two strangers walked in at 7.30am while she and her husband were still in bed.
On our last day the maids were literally outside our rooms waiting for us to leave. We had to be out by 12 o'clock but they were there before 10.30 and we felt as if we were being rushed.
The food in the hotel was excellent with plenty of choice. The only fault we had was that if you wanted water with your evening meal you had to buy it and it wasn't cheap. We never had to queue for meals but this was probably because the hotel wasn't really full. Don't know what it would be like in peak season.
The location of the hotel is very good. The shops are just around the corner and the beach not far. It wasn't noisy when we were there but this again could be because we went before the peak season. Just around the corner from the hotel, down one of the side streets we found a lovely chinese restaurant. The food is really tasty and they do a lunchtime special for 3.50 euros. It's well worth trying.
Hello to Laurena, one of the hotel reps. We had a really good laugh with her and joined in a lot of the hotel games which she organised. It became somewhat of a competition between us to see who could win the most certificates. She's really lovely.
Windsors bar which isn't far from the hotel is good fun. The lads who run it are funny and full of fun. As long as you are drinking, they will stay open.
All in all we had a brilliant holiday and apart from my little complaints, I would still probably stay at this hotel again.

Well we were not dissapointed we got the good end of the deal. Lovely and clean, excellent maid service, plenty to do if thats what you wanted.
The food was the best i have ever had in a hotel, you could not fault, it and plenty of choice to. The only drawback is the walls are very thin {our neighbours had to move because of my snoring}and the corridors are tiled so you can hear every high heel, suitcase wheel and maids trolley. otherwise a great hotel, can well recomend it if you take some ear plugs.
I would visit this hotel again.

Would not advise anyone to take a room there in the morning bikers revved up they have a sort of garage there, the noise of a generator goes on all day, what a drone, unless you are going out early for all day it would give you a headache.
Did not find the staff friendly, but the maids were.
The food was good.
The walls seem very thin could follow next doors conversation, would not visit this hotel again.

I honestly dont know how you can all complain because Magaluf is one of the livliest young places in the world and obviously you were aware of this when booking your holiday so if you dont like it I suggest cyprus etc.

| said: Just returned from the Sol Guadalupe.
Safe hire is 15E per week (traditional key style).
Fridge hire is 30E per week.
Good points:
Room size, cleanliness and decor was very good. I would say equivalent to some 4* hotels I have stayed in. The air conditioning was fab, with both an air con unit and a ceiling fan. Got the room nice and cold.
Internet use available downstairs for 2E for 30 minutes, 3E for an hour.
Hotel near to the waterparks, took us about 10 mins to get there when we walked.
A good selection of food, but did get repetitive. I was glad I was not there for a fortnight.
Bad points:
We asked to be charged in Euros for our stay and confirmed this several times, but were charged in £s. This meant that the rate they used was loaded by 3%.
Bar staff were miserable.
Noise! I've never stayed in a hotel with such thin walls. We had to keep the air con unit on every night to try and drown out some of the noise of people walking past our door, and also put blankets around the door.
Maid service did not clean our bath during our entire week long stay. As you stand up to shower inside the bath, you can imagine the colour of it by the end of the week.
I've never stayed in a hotel where they demand payment of drinks as soon as they put them on your table (during the evening meal). Found this quite strange on our first night.
Entertainment was shockingly bad.
Lifts were very erratic.
Pool area is very small for the size of the hotel. We didn't spend a minute around the pool due to all the sun beds being taken by the time we got down there, and also due to how crammed in the beds were. Very claustrophobic.
The fact it's in Magaluf. We visited in 2002, and I can honestly say the resort has gone majorly downhill since. It's very dirty, although you see the council out in the morning trying to clear up the vomit, food, broken bottles etc from the pavements, it's still filthy. I felt that it was also expensive and there is no incentive for them to provide decent food to eat anymore, as it seems it's all drunken 17 year olds eating it anyway. Anything that I ate in Magaluf outside of my hotel was of a poor quality.
We often had to avoid eggs and wet tissue that was thrown off of hotel balconies, obviously a lot of children away on holiday without mummy and daddy for the first time!
The immaturity of most of the visitors. I was awoken at 2.10am by somebody doing a tap dance in the corridor. Who then ran, slamming their feet down, down the length of the corridor. Obviously trying to disturb as many guests as possible.
The noise the cleaners make in the morning! Don't expect a long lie!!

| said: I stayed in the last week of July in Sol Guadalupe with my partner. This is a 3 star hotel and overall lives up to the Sol Melia standards, so it compares with some 4-star independent hotels. It was built in the 70’s but was refurbished in 2000/2001 and has 503 rooms. It is a huge hotel, so be prepared for the confusion it entails.
Hotel: the infrastructure was in a good state. The swimming pool area was small and most people reserve the sunbeds and leave, so there were few sunbeds available (obviously that is not the hotel’s fault, but the guests’ lack of manners). There was a kids swimming pool, an adult one (half of which was more than 1,70m deep), and an interior one (the water was much colder here). Personally I don’t like the games in the swimming pool, especially when very few people are participating and they become a nuisance. Also, some of the guest used floating mattresses in the main pool, thus hindering the other guests space.
Food: The dining room huge and the food very varied. I believe this was one of the best buffets I’ve had in a beach hotel. There was always a selection of 2 grilled fish and 2 grilled meats, 1 roast, 1 type of paella, 2 soups, pizza and pastas, and the rest you can expect. Given what’s on offer outside the hotel (mostly british pubs with the limited selection of food to cater for English tastes), the food there was very good. We were on full board, but each meal cost 13 euros (the same in any of the 3-star Sol Melia hotels in Magalluf), so next time we won’t buy FB in the package: it was cheaper buying each lunch separately! And on the days we weren’t there for lunch, Sol Melia hotels don’t give us the traditional “pic-nic”, because they are afraid the food will spoil. They gave us instead a 3 euro voucher to spend in drinks at the hotel (we paid a lot more than 3 euros for the meal!!). In the restaurant and in the vending machines, a 1/2l bottle of water costs 1,35 euros.
Rooms: very spacious with air conditioning and ceiling fan. You have to pay extra for the fridge and safe. The room was well maintained and quite clean. We asked for a double room, instead of a twin and the reception staff kindly accommodated our request. There was some noise during the night, but that is mostly the guests’ fault. Unfortunately there were some English and German youths staying there who were particularly noisy. We complained in the reception and they told to report the noise to them, that they would go upstairs and try to solve it.

| said: Has been a lovely family hotel in the past but is now catering for stag & hen party's which due to the foul language, rowdiness and drunks do not mix well with a family holiday.
The hotel is clean and the rooms are lovely but the walls are like paper and god help you if you get noisy groups next door.
The hotel has had certain rules at one stage [no diving into pool, long trousers for dinner, no reserving sunbeds, etc] but these are now totally ignored.
The food was good if not a bit repetitive [fish ,veal & pork].
The location though in a slightly quieter area was still very noisy all night but the double glazing kept the worst of it out.
Hotels entertainment performed by the staff was diabolical to say the least and the occasional pro.show wasn't much better.
Been, done it, wouldn't go back.

| said: We spent a fabulous 2 weeks at this hotel.
There is plenty to keep you occupied during the day if you want to get involved, the entertainment staff were great, not to pushy.
The hotel was very well run, there seemed to be staff everywhere, the cleanliness was first class, they even had a guy cleaning the pool daily. The only thing that was annoying sometimes was being chased from the sunbeds at 6 pm, this was because the shows where all held outside and the staff had to rearrange the chairs/tables for the evening. There is a solarium that you could use till 7 pm.
The food was excellent, always a great variety to please all ages and nationalities, plus I never had to stand in a "Hi de Hi" type Q, very efficient service.
The location of this hotel is good because your not in the middle of the strip (or noise) but only a short stroll away if the mood takes you.
Mano's across the street is good for families, the square behind BCM also has live shows most nights, check out the girls dancing on the tables my 9 year old son loved them!!!!
The water parks (Great Western & Aqua land) are 10 mins walk from the hotel (turn right at the hotel main entrance)kids can get free entrance (when accompanied by an adult) with a voucher found inside MacDonald's Happy meals, save yourself 12 euros. We had a ball, didn't try the " Beast" to much for me try it if your mad enough.
Entertainment was varied, with professional shows & participation games with the entertainment staff, they were all nice people, Hi to Laurann, Andreas 1 & 2, thanks.
I look forward to visiting a Sol Hotel again soon.

The food was plentiful and varied.
The staff were wonderful if anything they seemed overstaffed.
If I had to have one moan it would be to say stop having large hen and stag parties they can be quite noisy and intimidating around the pool they got quite bad when we were there they had to bring the police in because the security couldn’t deal with them. Just because this hotel is in Magaluf shouldn’t mean it should be filled with short term holiday makers who come for three and four night breaks have individual parties in their rooms and just generally spoil it for the holiday makers who are here for longer. It wouldn’t stop me from going to this hotel again or recommending it to someone.
We loved it and had a great time.

There was always a lifeguard on duty. Never had a problem getting a sunbed but if you came down after 9am you would have struggled to get one.
The hotel entertainment staff were brilliant some of the best I've seen (thanks Laurena, raquel, maria and andreas for a fab time).
The mini club for the kids was fantastic hardly ever saw them Thanks to fransisco for that!!
Food was really lovely fresh and always hot never had to queue no matter what time we went down to eat.
Rooms were a bit on the the small side but you are only sleeping in them and the air con and ceiling fan were very welcome (weather was really hot).
Towels changed every day and bed linen twice a week maids were really friendly.
Only problems were too many stag and hen parties in the hotel but if they got to rowdy hotel security sorted them out,but what can you expect when you are in Magaluf.
All in all had a brill time and would def go back.

| said: This was our second visit to this hotel, the first time we went as part of a package tour this time we booked privately. We did this through the Sol website, they also do a price match and then knock an extra 10% off (which we took advantage of)! Upon check when we showed our Sol Mas card they asked which room we wanted!
There is not much more to say about this hotel thats not already been said its location is very good (close to the beach, nightlife, shops), staff very good and friendly, clean and tidy hotel with nice food.

| said: Visited this Hotel from 31.5.04 to 04.05.04 with Flyglobespan. This was a last minute 'reward' for my 17 year old daughter working so hard for her exams.
Didn't know what to expect in what is advertised as a 3 star Hotel. I have to say I was delighted with what we got. Quite a large Hotel but excellent facilities for it's 3 star rating.
Rooms a bit on the small side but very clean with daily maid service. Television for free but if you want to use the fridge you pay for it. (Fair enough I thought).
Large dining area similar to most Hotels I've been in and I would say that the selection and quality of food was on a par with two 4 star Hotels I have stayed at in Tenerife.
Large pool with a similarly large kiddies pool. Lots of free sunbeds and parasols although I acknowledge we were there early in the season so I would imagine they would be at a premium in July and August.
We spent most of our time on what is called the solarium. This is just a raised area with sunbeds and parasols which mostly seems to be the domain of the adults.
Plenty of entertainment thoughout the day and night and it looked as though the kids were well catered for. In closing I would add that the reception staff were the most friendy and helpful I have come across for a long time.

| said: Well we had a very welcoming arrival by the staff and they insured we had the best possible. The kids club was good to get away for a while another good thing is we could have a small walk to the beach and in the outher direction is the water park only a 10 min walk.
I enjoyed all the entertainment and the cleaners i could talk for hours on how good this hotel is and i am going again in 2 weeks.
