Myself and my partner have just returned from a break staying in a Villa in Shangrila Park.
We both found the Villa and the complex perfect. We had rented a 2 bed Villa for a week,it contained everything that we needed to make our break hitch free, from the cork screw for the wine to the charcoal for the BBQ.
The villa was cleaned and cared for by a lovely couple who live in Shangrila, Barbara & Ian, who gave us both fantastic inside advice on local Resturants, taxi's and general goings on in the Village.
We did't hire a car, we were on holiday so looking forward to having a drink, a taxi from Playa Blanca full of shopping to Shangrila was never over 4 euros, and Barbara & Ian had given us the Local taxi number to call if we wanted to go in to the Village, It is about a 40 min walk, along a fantastic costline, so walk in cab back!
All in all we found Shangrila park to be just what the doctor ordered, quiet, very clean, great gardens & ground's, very well maintained, and yet still conected to the rest of the island, the Villa was spot on and the roof terrace was our second home - we didn't want to leave and go back home. Living in London, It was great to stay on a complex that had no traffic and was total pedestrianised.

| said: We stayed at 90 Shangrila Park, from 5 May for 14 nights. I booked the flights in April last year via Flightline (www.flightline.co.uk). The villa I found by searching www.holiday-rentals.co.uk.
We flew on a Wednesday as I wanted to avoid the Thursday rush, being 16 weeks pregnant I didn't need the stress! It worked out great, the flight wasn't full and there was only us and one other plane arriving at Arrecife at the same time.
We'd booked a car via Anthon rent a car, which was waiting at the airport for us.
Drove to Playa Blanca, which is really straightforward, although I did have prior knowledge of the route thanks to my new friend Bawbee who lives in Playa Blanca.
When we arrived at the villa it was still being cleaned (we were early), but Chris and Emma-Jane (the owners daughter and son in law) let us have a look around and were really welcoming.
The villa was fantastic. It stood in really well tended gardens and was truly magnificent. It had a lounge/dining area with two sofas, tv, dvd, video, stereo and dining room table and chairs to seat 4. The kitchen was fully equipped with oven, halogen hob, microwave, dishwasher, iron, kettle, toaster, and every kind of pot, pan and utensil you could possibly need. Bedroom 1 was a good size with built in wardrobes, bedside tables and 2 chests of drawers. Bedroom 2 was 2 single beds, again with built in wardrobes and a bedside cabinet.
The bathroom was spotless with toilet, washbasin, bidet and bath with shower over and screen. My only comment here is that I would have liked a slip mat for the bath (but I guess I can't have been that concerned as I'd have gone out and bought one!).
The whole villa was pristine and spotless, you couldn't fault it. Outside was a huge patio with table and chairs, 4 sunbeds and a barbecue. We had a couple of barbecues before the owners brought in a brand new barbecue!! There was also a laundry room at the back with washing machine and tumble drier.
There was a roof terrace with 2 or 4 further sunbeds and fantastic views over Mount Roja and Fuerteventura.
The villa was cleaned again on the Saturday with a towel change and a full clean, towel and linen change the following Wednesday (mid way through our holiday). The whole place smelt beautiful and sparkled. Believe me, I am fussy.
The owners had also left us a welcome pack on arrival which contained, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, water, bread and chocolate biscuits. There were other things as well, but I can't remember (put it down to the pregnancy hormones!!)

| said: We stayed at 62, it was located on the far left of quite a large estate (?) of villas. Shangrila Park is quiet with no shop on site and about 10 mins drive from Playa Blanca. The villa had a large dining area, and sitting room combined, a fully equipped kitchen with every thing you could possibly need, one large bathroom with shower, bath and toilet. Two bedrooms with twin beds and a double bedroom with en-suite, all with fitted wardrobes with loads of hangers. It has a sun terrace on the roof with chairs and a bbq. It was cleaned once thoroughly while we were there and the towels changed, you could pay for more frequent changes if you wanted, but there was a washing machine so you could wash anything yourself anyway. There is a very nice pool, we didnt use it as we traveled round the Island so didnt have time, it looked clean and had showers and a changing area. The only thing I would say is if you didnt have a car there is not much street lighting so walking back after an evening out could be difficult! There was plenty of parking.
