We have been going to Greece now for approximately 14 years and never in all that time, have we stayed in better self-catering accommodation. The attention to detail and the cleanliness around the entire grounds is second to none. It is a family run business with very friendly, polite and hard working staff. The rooms were very clean and on arrival we we’re met with water in the fridge, fresh fruit in a basket, savoury nibbles, sweets on the pillows, chocolate in the fridge, washing-up liquid, shampoo, shower gel, shower caps, and a sewing kit. Whether you use them or not a very nice touch, provided by the owner’s not the tour operator’s.
Also in the rooms for use was travel plug, toaster, microwave, kettle, hair dryer, ceiling fan and oscillating fan.
In the bar area food was available and a wide range of drinks, food up until about 8pm and the bar was open until 2am, but one night our eating plans fell apart and the staff were good enough and kind enough to make us something a little later that evening.
The location of the San Lorenzo was at the top of a hill, we booked knowing this and when we arrived I was a little disappointed when someone had described it as a hill, but as the fortnight went on the hill got steeper, but that may have been down to the earthquake that we experienced while we were there, nothing to serious though, or the extra weight gained by some of the very good restaurants and Tavernier’s that were just a nice short walk away.
The beach was a little further than expected or hoped away, but nothing to complain about, the San Lorenzo has a pool away so no problems, the beach is worth the walk down anyway because its was one of the best sandy beaches I ever been on not very wide but again worth the walk down.
The staff, at the San Lorenzo was just the icing on the cake for me, and just to mention a few, there was Adele the polite, friendly and informative Greek speaking English lady, Olympia, the very debonair again polite, friendly and informative Greek lady whom speaks 5 languages and then there’s Dorothy the crazy one, lots of fun, again polite, friendly, informative, I found can be a bit of a double act when with Olympia great fun to be around. I have never missed a place and the staff like this ever before. I really hope to return in the not to distant future. Tony.

| said: We have recently returned from Kefalonia,we stayed at the San Lorenzo Village after reading other peoples recommendations on this site. All i can say is all previous reports are true, an excellent week & we would certainly have no regrets about staying at the 'Village' again. The only reason i have given the location a 4 star is the hill leading up from the main road, it is steep but only about 100 mtrs.

| said: We stayed in a studio apartment. These are quite small compared to what we have previously stayed in although having made friends with other people apparently the apartments all vary in size. However, that said the studio was spotlessly clean. Cleaners are really nice and fantastic - they clean every day, thoroughly. Towels changed every day - even when we didn't use all of them. Toilet rolls replaced all the time - unheard of anywhere else! Welcome packs of necessities which was a lovely touch. Only 2 slight faults: one was lack of air conditioning - there was a ceiling fan which helped a little but as we had temps of nearly 40 degrees it got quite sticky at night, the other was the lack of privacy on the terraces as we had a ground floor studio. You have to get on well with your neighbours or sit quite obviously ignorning each other! Sometimes you don't want to talk and we had some neighbours that intercepted us every time we came out the studio door - others clearly got very irritated by us having a child although we are extremely conscious of keeping him quiet and respecting other people's peace. The pool area is great - pool is very clean, very safe. Surrounding areas of pool and village are beautiful - the gardener takes a lot of pride in what he does. The staff are all friendly. The bar prices are very reasonable - limited snacks which are all you need (although we didn't eat there), bar is lacking atmosphere at night but on the plus side it was beautifully quiet. Very nice people that generally go there - respectful. Would return in a flash!

| said: This was our first visit to Kefalonia, and we had the most fantastic holiday at San Lorenzo.
The hotel staff were absolutely superb. Welcoming, helpful, knowledgable and the cleanliness and appearance of the rooms was spot on.
We will certainly be coming back to Kefalonia, and back to the San Lorenzo Village. We couldn't find a single fault with our entire week, except that we were not staying there for one more week.

| said: We have just returned from the fantastic san lorenzo village in Lassi. We had the best holiday ever!
The self catering facilities are of a very high standard with a microwave, toaster kettle etc.
Clean towels were provided every day and beach/pool towels were available for hire.
The location is superb with awesome views and the beach a 5min walk. The hill is very steep but short which you soon get used to.
The staff are very helpful and great fun. We can't wait to return, and highly reccomend this property!

| said: We have been twice to San Lorenzo, nice rooms with balcony, friendly staff, always helpful.
Cleaners are just amazing at their job, left our teenagers to sleep in and cleaned other apartments first. Always first rate clean.
It's bit of a trek up the hill to get back up after a night out, beach not to far, nice size pool, everywhere was clean and tidy.

| said: San Lorenzo Village. We had an apartment and a studio. It was my second visit, but my relations have been 6/7 years running. It is beautiful, peaceful. No televisions in apartments just one in the pool room. It is the most wonderful two weeks of the year and we are going back this year and have already booked up for next year.
The staff are wonderful. Always happy and nothing is too much trouble. The apartments are spacious and clean

| said: This was our second visit to this accommodation and once again we were not disappointed.
The maintenance and cleanliness were excellent, bar/reception staff very friendly and very willing to help.
I would say the accommodation is more suitable for couples or families with young children, there is very little for teenagers to do, although the beaches are lovely and very close by.
No entertainment other than a film shown at 10pm and a quiz once a week, but this suited us very well, it meant the accommodation was always nice and quiet to return to.
There is a steep hill but not really a problem unless you have walking difficulties (or too many beers!)
I would definitely recommend the San Lorenzo Village to any of my friends and will be returning there in the future.

| said: Small and quiet. Very relaxed atmosphere with excellent pool and accommodation. Set at the top of a short but very steep hill, you soon get used to this and it works off the meals and beer!
They leave you alone and don't bother you. No entertainment except 1 quiz night, just what we wanted.
I recommend this hotel and with great restaurants locally it is hard to beat.
