Dining is buffet style the food served was of a good standard with a varied choice, even fussey eaters will find something to eat.The hotels many bars provided a good standard of service with attentive bar staff and a great cocktail menu.
There are 2 swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds a great spa, pharmacy and shops selling an array of good quality fashion items. The hotel provides varied evening entertainment for young and old. | said: Just got back from this hotel and we were very impressed with the hotel.
We stayed all inclusive and I would highly recommend everyone doing this. There was a fantastic buffet choice, for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main restaurant for even the fussiest of eaters like my mum!
You can have a variety of choice of drinks from the restaurant and the pool bars/bars without being restricted to the amount you consume, whether non-alcoholic or alcoholic. The hotel was kept spotless throughout.
The staff were very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Pool towels were free with a refundable deposit of 5 Euros per towel.
The views from the hotel are fantastic overlooking the sea. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Amadores beach uphill/downhill! and about the same, to Puerto Rico small marina and beach.
Our small negative points about the hotel were the entertainment, as this was usually mainly just singers and children discos and the adult entertainment didn't start until 11pm. We were disappointed the hotel rooms did not have tea and coffee making facilities but the free fridge did help make up for this if you like cold drinks.
The hotel has two lovely pools with plentiful supply of sunbeds.
If you are a naturist the hotel also has a section partitioned off for privacy, for the sole use of naturists.
The nearest shops and bars were in puerto rico, about 15/20 minute walk or the easiest way 2.5 euros each way in a taxi.

We found the staff on the front desk first class, however there was the odd grumpy waiter.
The food was of a good standard with plenty of choice.
This hotel is less than 5 mins from the habour .Watch out for the lift from the prom closing at 11.30pm.(its a steep hill).
The rooms are large and all have a sea view, however typical of hotels that don't use carpets noise does travel

| said: Once again we took the advice of your reviewers, and we were not disappointed! The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable, being changed practically every day. As with the rest of the hotel, the cleanliness was first rate.
The food selection and quality were excellent; the two outdoor swimming pools were warm and of a good size, and there were plenty of sunbeds around both areas.
The view from all rooms was fabulous as they all overlooked the sea. The glass lift to the promenade was also excellent, and within three minutes we were in Puerto Rico. The buses were also very frequent to all places and the stop was about five minutes from the hotel.
All nationalities were there, as well as all ages, from babes in arms to golden oldies, and everyone seemed to enjoy the hotel.
We did not stay for any of the entertainment, so could not really comment on that.
A brilliant hotel!

| said: We have just returned from the Gloria Palace Amadores. We went for a week on an AI basis with our 1 year old daughter. This hotel should be 5 star in our opinion - it is much better than many 5* we have visited in Europe.
Where shall I start:-
VIEWS - just to die for the hotel is surrounded by panoramic views of the sea with floor to ceiling glass windows. In the salon lounge bar the glass doors fold back to reveal the best view I have ever seen and the room melts into the sea.
ROOMS - we had a gorgeous room, very large overlooking the sea on the 4th floor. It was massive with double bed sofa bed and table and chairs
FOOD - superb there is international cuisine each night to supplement the usual show cooking and unlimited buffet tables - the restaurant is spotless - there is also a lobby bar and pool side snack bar.
ENTERTAINMENT - excellent for the kids - full day time animation programme and then a mini event until 10 30pm including clowns, Tina's mini disco and live duo - at 10.30 the main show starts which ranged from parrot shows, fashion shows, Mr Gloria Palace, viva las Vegas night (excellent) and acrobatics.
ALL INCLUSIVE PROGRAMME - what can I say we spent nothing only on gifts we brought back everything is all in - oh tell a lie they have a thalassotherapy centre and I had a few beauty treatments superb value for money in a top of the range health club.
SWIMMING POOLS - very clean, loads of beds and parasols and even a raised terrace area - perfect for the baby in the heat - it was great weather in the high 70s every day - quite humid at night
LIFT - this glass lift takes you straight to the promenade path. Turn right to Amadores beach - fantastic bay lined with usual souvenirs and beach things - takes about 5-10 minutes depending on how fast you walk. Turn left and Puerto RICO is about 300m - literally 2 minutes to the harbour. All in ALL one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at.

Hi just returned home from the Gloria Palace, Amadoras. Had a brilliant time. Fabulous weather.
The hotel was fantastic, large rooms overlooking the sea. I travelled with my husband and 6 year old grandson and met at the hotel my son and new daughter in law as they got married 10 days before we arrived. There was 13 in total between my family and the brides. Plenty of wardrobe space for the three of us. Loverly comfy beds.
The food was excellent, the desserts were nearly the same every night but saying that there was plenty to choose from. breakfast was fine too even champagne a couple of mornings. Lunch was nice too or you could get burgers chips etc from the snack bar by the upstairs pool. The pools were lovely all the same height through them as i don't swim that was great as there was no big drop to it getting deeper.
The beach was only about ten minutes away too. Very near Puerto Rico too.
The only fault I found was the evening entertainment, ok for the children as they had mini disco, then a film and then in to watch the adult entertainment. For the adults well some of it wasn't bad but on the whole it was bad. There was a duo playing in between mini disco and the main show and to say peters and lee were better would be an understatement. After they began again after the main show they could clear a room in five minutes. And the main show was well we had a fashion show as it one night. Also they did the second week the same shows as the first. Loved the hotel fantastic views but the entertainment really needs a good looking at.
Will go again but will go out in the evening.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were greeted and welcomed with a glass of wine.
The room was lovely very clean and very spacious, cleaned every day, with clean towels daily. The views from the room were stunning and the location of the hotel was perfect 10 minutes one way to peurto rico or 10 minutes the other direction to amadores beach, lovely walk along the sea wall.
The food at the hotel was plentiful and the dining room was never short of clean tables. Didn't think much of the entertainment but that wasn't top of our list we would rather get out and about in the evening.
The two swimming pools are lovely never short of sunbeds you could get one any time of day. The holiday overall was excellent and yes would definately go back again no hesitation.

Excellent hotel, rooms cleaned every day, fantastic view from the balcony overlooking the sea and the enjoyed amazing sunsets every night.
We just wanted a relaxing holiday and this we got. Whilst the food was a bit bland there was always something that took our fancy. The location is great, the staff were friendly and helpful.
Entertainment OK but if you wanted something a bit livelier you could always go to Puerto Rico (ten minutes walk away).
We hope to visit this hotel again in September.

There are two swimming pools one quiet and one a bit lively with activities and so on!
The waiters were excellent and always served us but we paid them cash I think there a little bit less enthusiastic about serving you if your all inclusive because they don't get tipped! You are able to charge all drinks and snacks to your room bill which you pay at the end of your stay! but beware it's hard to keep track of how much your spending!
Entertainment was ok but we never really watched it at night but the animation team that did all the day time activities were fantastic they made our holiday and work so hard thanks to Niko, Bianca, Joseph, and Manuela especially!

Lovely hotel with great views over the ocean actually better if you get a room with pool and sea view - rooms are really spacious and clean.
The only problem we had was getting served at the bar in evening and sometimes snack bar at lunch we were not sure if it was because we were all inclusive but you could wait up to half an hour to be served by waiter.
The location of the hotel is very good but if you want to go up the hill use a taxi (cardiac hill).
We found the waiters in dining room and in the small bar near reception very pleasant
Overall a very enjoyable holiday and would go back to this hotel.

| said: Just got back from a week’s stay in Gloria Palace and have to say it was a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing experience. The rooms are clean and spacious, daily maid service Bathroom has two sinks, excellent water pressure with endless supply of hot water and the toilet is either separated by a door or a wall. We stayed in a Family room with two single beds plus 2 extra beds to accommodate our 2 kids and we still had bags of space in our room.. The baclonies are private, roomy and have excellent views across the ocean and the pool area. A clothes airer is also provided.
The hotel itself is fabulous. The glass lift gives splendid views across the sea and is brilliant for access to the promenade – which leads you to either the harbour and Puerto Rico beach (5 minutes to your left) or Amadores beach (10 min walk to the right). Either direction is a lovely stroll – and a breath of fresh air for me as I’ve stayed in various accommodations in Puerto Rico before, and the majority of places are only accessible either by taxi or stairs (unless u fancy an uphill trod) – so to walk to the beach on one level was brilliant. The promenade has a few steep gradients but there are no steps and there are benches conveniently placed if u fancy a breather. Fishermen are dotted along the cliff side – I was amazed at how high up they were fishing – and they caught their fish too!!
We found the restaurant to be highly satisfactory. A good range of food to cater for all tastes. Meat and fish are cooked in front of you. Wide range of veg, fruit, salads and desserts to die for! Plus various hot and cold buffets. I found the restaurant implemented standards of hygiene ie – food (bread)not to be handled directly with hands, ice cream ladle rinsed after each use. At breakfast time u have a selection of fruit juices, coffee, herbal teas, hot choc, at dinner time there is a wider range of drinks which incur a charge- we were half board. As for the unfriendliness of the staff ( as other reviewers have mentioned) – we never experienced this at all. We found the restaurant staff to be helpful and friendly. Mealtimes did get very busy but we didn’t have a problem getting seated (there were 12 of us in total) and on occasions when we dined together the staff were very accommodating to us, on occasions when we dined separately, we just asked a member of staff for a table – and they were on to it straight away – clean tablecloth, cutlery, etc! Bearing in mind there are hundreds of guests in the dining area at one time, the staff are not mind readers and cannot ‘think’ for each individual – so u have to ask them for assistance – then u will get assistance!! Also there is a separate buffet for children – where the kids can help themselves to a selection of food – prepared for kids – chips, chicken drummers, spaghetti Bolognese, fish fingers etc!
There is a decent gym in the hotel and the thallasotherapy centre is absolutely excellent, there are many health treatments on offer too.
There is a kids playground on site and also a kids club – but be careful near the climbing area as it leads straight to the kids pool thru a small easily opened green gate – that inquisitive kids will go through!! The playground isn’t supervised by any staff.
Entertainment was of a ‘hotel’ standard – and I thought at times that they started some of the shows quite late into the evening – 10.30pm etc!!
I would definitely stay here again. We booked this holiday with separate flights and hotel through Hays Travel/ Cosmos. We organised our own transfers through Holiday Taxis.com – who I’ve used before but found there choice of vehicle this time quite shabby, the driver had to keep stopping to try and keep the door from sliding open with some wire plus on our return journey – the driver turned up half hour late.

The hotel very much deserved it's 4 Star rating. The public areas were all exceptionally clean and well maintained, and there was a good attention to detail to maintain those standards.
The location was fantastic, with great sea views and mid-way between Puerto Rico and Amadores beaches. The staff were the most friendly I have ever come across and the food was excellent. The only down-side to the buffet was that it might not suit someone with a purely English taste in food, and, although there was plenty of choice,I have seen bigger buffets at other hotels.
The entertainment was on a par with most other foreign hotels(mostly poor, but with the odd exception).
We would recommend this hotel to anyone, and would definately return with no qualms.

| said: Hotel rooms and facilities first class, but oh dear, the eating experience was quite the reverse. We were booked half board but after the first evening meal we decided to eat out at some of the excellent restaurants within a 10/15 minute stroll.
If you like average food, you might enjoy the hotel buffet. If you like practising a rugby scrum (comprising largely natives of a non rugby playing country)to get your food you will enjoy it even more. And if you like sitting cheek by jowel with the next table you will really enjoy it. Breakfast can be a bit of a scrum as well and if you like tea made with boiling (as opposed to hot) water, just forget it. Pity, really, because it is a really nice hotel in a good location and with plenty of space for the residents.
Puerto Rico and Amadores are about a 5 and 10 minute walk respectively in different directions along a very safe promenade style walkway and the hotel has a lift that takes you right down to the walkway.

| said: We stayed in this fantastic, newly built hotel. Everything about the hotel from the food to the staff was excellent with the exception of the entertainment which would have suited retired people.
The view and the sunsets were out of this world, and there was a lift from the cliff top hotel down to the coastal path.
The rooms were air conditioned and controlled by thermostat.
All food was freshly cooked in front of you witha choice of at least 20 main courses a night.
We went in February and the temperature was 28c all week. It is a short walk 10 minutes to Porto Rico centre.
You will not find a better hotel on the island. We cannot wait to return.
