| said: Rodos Village, Kiotari was a great disappointment to us. We will never visit a Mitsis hotel again. We arranged our own transfer by taxi to this hotel which quite frankly was terrifying. The taxi driver was travelling far too close to the vehicle in front and making mobile calls and taking his hands off the wheel until my husband stopped him. On arrival, very tired, we were given dry unappetising rolls from the Reception counter, together with rotten apples. We sat in the cafe area on chairs that should have been thrown out. They were cracked with veneers lifting. Our room was small, with cheap old damaged furniture. The sink in the bathroom was practically blocked and it took us 8 days to get anyone to sort it out. (Even though we actually ended up going to see the Manager who promised to send someone to sort out problems the next day and we heard nothing). Air conditioning was not working correctly. Didn't always get a warm shower. Hairdryer too hot to hold. Only the restaurant was air conditioned. Main reception was uncomfortably hot. Pool dirty. My husband has been to hospital today to get an eye infection treated. We think the pool is to blame. Inadequate sunbeds for clients which caused friction between holidaymakers. Only one female and one male toilet by pool. Female toilet became blocked and nobody came to unblock it for 2 days. We ended up using the toilet in our own room throughout the holiday. Drinks very poor. My husband had to keep telling restaurant staff that his coke was flat or watery. It got very tedious and annoying. Wine wasn't worth drinking. I preferred soda water in the end. Food in the restaurant was, however, good and we all enjoyed it. Charge for safe in room was 40 Euros which we felt was excessive. This hotel is poorly run and is definitely not our idea of 5 star. We will never return.

| said: The Hotel was a health and safety nightmare. Photos of discussing conditions were sent to our holiday company to complain and to the rep at the hotel but nothing was done. The holiday company have been very patronising.
Hotel staff were rude and not interested. The food in the hotel was poor and their were long queues to enter the restaurant and again to access the grill.
We didn't have a proper shower for the whole holiday and several nights no water came out of the shower at all!
Our room was infested with flying red ants that were coming through holes in the bathroom floor.

| said: On arrival it looked much liked we had expected very impressive from the front of house. Our first room was up on the very top up 3 flights of stairs along corridors and 2 floors of lift. It over looked a area between the main building and pool not very nice and stank of sewage. The room itself was small and I had 2 teenage kids with me expected to sleep on camp beds, complained and was moved the next day to another room by the pool overlooking the sea. The bed situation didnt change was not happy with this as I expected proper beds for a 14/15 year old the small fold up ones were not strong or big enough for them to sleep on.
The fire situation - when the fires started we had no contact with the rep everyone was calling her to update the situation as the fire by this time was about 1.5 miles away and we have pictures of the smoke and flames coming over the hill, the hotel made no annoucments to help settle the situation and resulted in mass panic the only communication was a notice posted on the board saying dont worry but no rep. This was not only alarming but very unprofessional to leave us all with no communication as it was very apparent that there was a potential problem that they at one point could not get under control.
I would also like to add that I chose my holiday based on the information on the screen and the pictures that were depicting the hotel and its facilities, this in fact was totally misleading as many of the pictures belonged to the sister hotel down the road eg. dining room, pool, hotel rooms, and beach area not the rodos village. Under the trades descriptions act this was a breach of advertising as we had booked expecting what we were shown which couldnt be any further from the truth. The pool needed remedial work on the grating as it was cracked and dangerous, the pool tiles itself was really dirty and needed a good clean and the sunbeds were not fit for purpose as many had been broken and bodged back to gether with nuts and bolts that were sticking out from the bed. I pointed this out to the pool manager who really was not interested and wandered off.
A big thumbs up for the animation team MIdo Ramsey and co excellent without this I think I would have gone a bit mad, The snack bar at the pool has excellent staff very efficient and Maria in the dining hall was a star looked after us really well as my son has a food allergy.
Overall dissapointed not what I had expected, but made the most of it as cant afford another till next year.

| said: Just returned from an excellent holiday, we were overlooking the main pool, room was spacious with fridge air con etc. could probably do with refurbishment but no real complaint. i got up most mornings about 8 am for loungers as you do in any hotel always got them.
the entertainment and activities at this pool were first class always something to watch or take part in, Mido and Ramsay made our holiday, very friendly entertaining and talented as you will see in the fabulous shows at night. The kids club people are very good too, our youngest who is 8 went most days our older girl 10 stayed by pool and took part in activities there.
There are 4 pools on site, a large pool up by the pizzeria, a smaller one and an indoor pool just off the rock bar, we often sat in the open air rock bar later in the day and kids would play in pool. I liked the fact you could go for a drink to the different bar areas and the ampitheatrefor the entertainment and kids discos.
the food was very good, so much variety and good standard, the pizzeria was great too, service and food. our pool bar had variety of food if you didnt want to go in for lunch and the staff in there were very friendly and helpful at all times. The kids and ourselves made good friends and all seemed very happy with hotel.

| said: The hotel is some distance from the airport, so instead of using the shuttle bus, we arranged private transfers from the airport. This reduced the transfer from 2 hrs to 45 minutes, and whilst we had a good daytime flight (First Choice), it also meant that we could start the holiday immediately.
Staff - When you arrive at the hotel, there is no one to help you bring in your cases into reception as one would expect from a five star hotel, but then again this isn’t really five stars (three star plus perhaps). Reception were quick and efficient and suggested we have lunch whilst our room was organised. We found all the staff to be pleasant, helpful and friendly in the bars, restaurant and the cleaning staff too.
Room - We were allocated a room in the main block overlooking the main pool. The room was dated and in need of some refurbishment, so we asked for it to be changed and asked for a room close to the top pool (this is where all the Brits seemed to hang out) and were offered a room overlooking the amphitheatre. This would not suit everyone, as the disco there ends at midnight so if you need complete silence to sleep then steer well away. The rooms in this block are much newer, although slightly smaller, so we found.
Entertainment – On the first night we stayed in the first room we were offered and thought we’d check out the entertainment at the amphitheatre - we were pleasantly surprised. I must admit that we don’t often bother with the hotel entertainment, due to how poor it usually is, but the team at this hotel were the best I have come across. They consist of a very hard working team of 14 or so people, many of whom are very talented, led by Gino. They start early morning, and finish late night, and in the week we were there, the evening adult entertainment was different every night. This is by far the best thing about the hotel. We therefore changed rooms, as it allowed us to watch the entertainment from our bedroom balcony whilst the kids slept in their beds.
Food – another tick. Hotel is all Inclusive and was better than many others I have been to. It offered a variety of food, from different parts of the world, and I always found something tasty to eat. Admittedly, some of it was bland and dull, but I never had a bad meal there. The deserts look good, and many of them taste good too. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the wine (tried rose and white, and would have been better suited on a plate of chips) and juice (apple is the only decent one). Many reviews raved about the pizzeria so we too gave it a try (you have to make a reservation early morning before breakfast for two days in advance), however, we found it to be disappointing and nothing special. Yes there are lots of flies, but this is a hot country.
Hotel – Hotel has two main pools and two mini pools, one of which is indoors and used mostly by us as it was the right sort of depth for our two young kids and you did not have to wake up in the early hours to secure a sun lounger. This in fact is the worst thing about the hotel – the fact that people are up in the very early hours with their towels to secure a lounger. The main pool is very busy and has lots of activities which means that you cannot use some areas of the pool at will. The top pool gets very busy also, and a couple of days how rowdy teenagers (many British amongst them) messing about.
As with many large hotel resorts, the hotel is spread across a large geographical rea, and given the area is quite hilly, there are many slopes and stairs to climb. hence the hotel is not suitable for the elderly or infirm, and whilst there are slopes as opposed to stairs I guess it would be difficult if you had to make use of a buggy, thats not to say there were many guests there with plenty of young children.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere which is the main reason we wouldn’t visit again. We were aware of this and for this holiday this suited, however, we like to go for a walk in the evening, and apart from a few shops there wasn’t much else. The temperature was 30c when we awoke, and hit 40c by midday
Beach – a mixture of sand and shingles, and the closer you got to the water the more pebbles there were. Plenty of sun loungers, and a good bar which also provided snacks. You have to cross a bridge from the hotel to the beach.
All in all, a nice hotel which we enjoyed very much, but more three star plus than five stars and the earthquake that took place whilst we were there (6.3) just added to the experience.

| said: Just got back from this hellhole. This hotel is Butlins Abroad. No it is not 5 star as is claimed. I would rate it as a reasonable 3 star at best. However this review is NOT for the able bodied, who will be able to cope with the fact that you need to be a mountain goat to participate in even a percentage of the facilities. It is absolutely NO GOOD AT ALL IF YOU ARE DISABLED IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM. Similarly if you rely on a buggy for your children, you will struggle, no doubt about it. Top pool? - forget it. Ampitheatre where all the entertainment is held? - an absolutely nono - loads of steps down. Go onto the beach? - long walk and a rough path await. Want to use the internet or play games? - down a spiral staircase!
The ramps either side of the steps shown at the front of the hotel are marble and people SKATE down them, make sure you have shoes that grip or you will slip. Need a sunbed? Get up at 7am and you may have a chance of getting one. Everywhere but everywhere is either steep slopes or steep stairs and not a handrail in sight.
Feeling a bit dodgy in the morning? dont ask for a coffee to take out of the restaurant - it wont happen, similarly if you want a coffee from the rock cafe after 11pm - they dont serve it even though the bar is open until 12midnight.
Food was very samey - no traditional greek dishes per se.
As you can guess this is probably the worst holiday we have been on. My husband has MS and we always check out hotels quite thoroughly, so this was a huge let down. Mitsis dont have this information on their website, but apparently it is mentioned on another website (hotels4u.com) that the hotel is not suitable for people with walking difficulties - be aware is all we can say.

| said: Well, this was the best holiday i have ever been on. 23 of my family went to the hotel as my auntie was getting married at St.Pauls Bay in Lindos!
The hotel was very clean however the maids didnt change out bedding enough and we didnt get fresh clean towels each day but they said the washing machine had broken so i suppose its a good reason!
The staff were superb and very friendly and if you were waiting alone for someone they'd be more than happy to sit and talk to you while you waited.
The entertainment crew were hilarious and made the holiday such a treat, especially correcting them at there own dances. Their shows were really good and creative and were really clever!
The food was quite nice but i'm a very fussy eater and found some of the food was quite revolting but that was my opinion really!
The cocktails were very nice and the bar staff were really funny and enjoyed showing off while they were making it!!

| said: Having read some of the negative comments about this hotel after booking (Telextext late deal)but before arriving, I thought "Oh no, what have we done?!" So on walking into a large and clean reception area I was pleasantly surprised. I was also surprised that the hotel staff arranged for our luggage to be sent on to our room, especially as we were only upstairs in the main block. The room was large and well decorated. We didn't have a sea view (but then we hadn't paid for one, so fair do's) and although we looked onto the interior of the complex I could not say it was an awful view. The whole room including the bathroom was clean and continued to be cleaned daily with frequent fresh linen. There was no problem with hot water and both the fridge and the hairdryer worked at all times.
The complex is large but a map was provided in the booklet the reception staff give you telling you about the facilities; this was a useful thing until we found out way round. All public area's were clean, no sign of rubbish (or smashed glass, as some have reported) and even the beach toilets were cleaned mis afternoon. There was no problem getting a sunbed at the top pool (didn't use the main one) or the beach, and of course these are free as part of the AI.
I am a fussy eater but could not complain about the food, there was always plenty to chose from and it was at the right temperature. Waiting stff were friendly and there was only one occasion when the outside dining area was too busy for us to get a table and we had to sit inside. The pizzeria is very nice, we had lunch and dinner there, and it is nice to be waited on. The all-inclusive drinks are not international brands but there is a good cocktail list and the lagar(Lowenbrau) and rose/white wine is all fine. No problems with queues even though the hotel was nearly full.
This is an ideal hotel if you want everything paid for before you go, and do not want lots of late night bars and clubs. I would go back again if it came up on a good deal.

A problem on the first week with lack of sunbeds (people reserving them with towels) so by 9am couldn't get a bed. It eased off as the week went on.
The entertainment staff were excellent - Willy, Adela, Gino etc helped make it a great holiday.
Only down side - our son got a ear infection and unable to fly so we had to stay on for 4 more days. Reception staff could be quite unhelpful and got mucked around a bit (moved to 2 different rooms and had to pay upfront for accommodation). Entertainment staff went out of their way to make sure we were OK after rest of the family went home.

| said: We have stayed in this hotel twice and have to agree with the more positive reviews that it is a good-value all inclusive hotel. The staff are very friendly (with the exception of one or two haughty reception staff) and they are very helpful if you need anything like a doctor or prescription meds.
The food is good and plentiful, without the incessant burger, chips and chicken nuggets that some people seem to expect, which may account for some of the bad reviews. The rooms are clean and well furnished with a couple of english TV channels and poweful aircon.
Yes, there are steps and slopes between the different blocks but this has been made clear whenever I have seen the hotel on a booking site or brochure. There is a good kids club and the animation team always try to get everyone involved.
There are a couple of shops in the hotel but the shops over the road are much cheaper if you can be bothered to cross the bridge. The only hesitation that I have in recommending this hotel is the tendency to overbook.
It is quite common for arrival to be sent to another hotel for 1 or 2 nights and, in some cases, even longer. This happened on our second holiday here, the first time we went we booked with 'On the Beach' and were given our rooms straight away, althougn we met lots of people who had been sent to another hotel initially.
The second time we went we travelled with Sunstar and it happened to us. The receptionist blamed it on a German airline problem but we knew that it was a rubbish excuse. We would have protested but they sent us over the road to the Rodos Maris and we quite fancied trying it for a night, so we didn't argue too much! We were sent back on a mini bus next day.
Basically, I would say that its a good hotel for a family or group of people, don't expect to experience much greek culture unless you get out and see the rest of the island, and be careful who you book with - make sure they have their own allocation of rooms otherwise you could find yourself a few miles up the road for half your holiday.

| said: The room was quite large and very clean. There was ample furniture and the towels and sheets were changed daily. There was a fridge in the room, which unfortunately switched off when you went out. We were not in the main hotel but had a sea view. The balcony did not have your usual plastic furniture and the cane chairs even had cushions.
The food was very well presented. There was ample choice and catered for any taste. There was always food on the grill and it did not matter whether you arrived at 7.30 or 9.45 there was always plenty to eat. As soon as a tray was empty another full one was brought in. You could sit out or in and the staff always welcomed you to your table with a smile. There were plenty staff on duty so tables were cleared and re-set with the minimum of fuss. On the downside the flies were a bit of a nuiscance. They would not go away and kept coming back. A few fly papers would not have gone amiss.
The hotel is on a steep slope so if you have walking difficulties or are elderly this is not for you. We knew before we left that in Kiotari there are only four all inclusive hotels and a few shops. The beach was across the road (you had to go over a bridge) The beach bar was great although the food could have been more inspiring (rolls, rolls rolls). Many of the sunbeds were broken but I guess this was nearing the end of the season. We never used the pools, although there were four to chose from.
The staff were friendly although we did not get to know many of them. The bar was not particularly well staffed but on an all inclusive holiday I think that is the norm. The longer you wait for your drink the less you manage to consume!!. One of the bar staff was great and just looked along the bar to us, With a nod of the head we were able to secure a drink when he was next free. Did not use the Rock Cafe much but it was always busy.
The entertainment was mediocre but hey everything else was great so who cares. Got on the bus to Lindos and Rhodes town. An experience never to be forgotten. Can you really get that many peoople on a bus. Still all part of the fun
Would go back to Rhodes and this hotel.

| said: We thought the hotel was excellent. Went at busiest time of year so expect bit of queuing & towells on sun beds but as long as you don't go expecting the Savoy (which some people seem to given the reviews) you'll have a great time.
Can't fault cleanliness and staff.
Foods was great. We have 2 sons and they had loads to choose from and always had really good food. Also nice to get local food and not English food (if we'd wanted that we'd have gone to Blackpool!). Also worth visiting the Hotel Italian resturant which is also spot on. Didn't sample the "all inclusive" pool food much as always too full from indulging at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Location was just as expected. We knew from broucher that was "man made" type resort full of hotels so you do need to accept that you'll spend most of tiome in hotel (though hiring a car is worth it cos Rhodes is great island to explore). Aso can get bus to Lindos from outside hotel. Its nice not to have any English bars and lager louts - if you want that this isn't for you!
Entertainment not best we've come across but fairly typical. If go open minded and dont expect west end you'll be ok.
In summary, we'd go back to Rhodes and this hotel, we love Greece!

| said: I stayed in this hotel for one week at the end of July this year (2006). On arrival we knew something wasn't right when a minibus turned up to take up to our hotel room. (The hotel clearly has bits added to it every 6 months when it is closed for the winter and all in all is a bit of a shambles).
Thankfully we are all young and fit but this hotel is not suitable for people who are unable to walk long distances or up steep hills. On arrival to our room, we discovered that we had been put in to what we later discovered were the staff annexes (where the hotel staff board). The rooms were appalling with a smashed balcony door, mouldy wall and bath, the telephone and wires were hanging out of the wall, the air conditioning didn't work and the beds had been crammed in making it nearly impossible to get up at night without causing your self an injury.
Worst of all, we thought we had purchased a 5* all inclusive holiday, we fully understood that 5* in Greece is obviously not like the 5* in the UK, but for what we had paid for the standard was abominable.
We had been informed prior to booking that we could have 2 x family rooms that comfortably sleep four. This was our preference, although not to cut costs as we still paid the same amount each (£550). We were horrified to see that 2 of the beds were camp beds with foam mattresses.
Reception were extremely unhelpful that evening and we were finally moved to another room, in the main building the next day at 6.00pm. We had nearly been at the hotel 24 hours when we could finally unpack our bags. The general standard of the hotel was less than satisfactory but so as not to ruin the rest our holiday we decided to get on and sort out complaints etc on arrival home.
When the rep came to visit the hotel, we were unsurprised to see that around 12 other people were complaining about the state of their rooms and the terrible service which they had received. The rep, also dropped herself in it as she admitted it wasn't actually a 5 star resort, but then went on to contradict herself when relaying the dress code for dinner due to the hotel being 5 star.
Since returning home, we have sent the complaint letter and are yet to receive a response. All in all I found the hotel very unhelpful, it is the middle on nowhere, therefore the authentic Greek buzz is somewhat lacking.
All I will say is if you have bought this holiday as a 3* all inclusive package and there is no confusion with regards to your room on arrival then you won't be disappointed. You must watch out for companies who try to sell this as 5* at unreasonable and completely unjust prices.

The hotel was very clean and always tidy, but no way was this a 5* hotel more like a 3.5*.The room was very
clean and tidy and was serviced every day with clean towels and change of sheets.
Food
Quite frankly the food lacked imagination and on 9 out 10 occasions the food was luke warm or worse still, cold. Not what I would call 5* food form a so called 5* hotel. My 11 year old son ate mainly the pasta (main meal times) and the pancakes for breakfast. And oh yes sometimes it was you against the flies to get to the food first VERY off putting.
Location
What is it they say, "Location Location Location" well this hotel hasn't got one.The hotel is in a remote location with little or nothing to do in Kiotari.
The beach, well it's not what I would call a beach there's NO sand, it's sharp shingle, not kind to your feet and as you get near the water this turns into large pebbles. There are no wooden walkways to the sea and with the hot sun it makes it all but impossible to walk on. You will need to invest in a pair of beach shoes/flip flops. If you not good a walking or you have a disability getting onto the beach will prove to be very difficult or impossible. If you have a child in a buggie then just stay at the hotel pool.
Staff
Staff were friendly most of the time and were always very smart. But I would say that the reception staff need to do a lot better. Staff a the bars, well there needs to be more of them. The hotel the hotel wasn't busy but had to wait for long periods to get a drink .I would hate to think what it's like when the hotel is full (could die of thirst).
The drinks always seemed to be cheap local blends and not premium brands and don't even get me onto the mixers or so called soft drinks.
Will they see me next year I don't think so

The food was good, always something to eat even for the fussiest person, my youngest ate pasta most days. The staff were brilliant, everybody told us how friendly the Greeks were and that they liked children, this is so true, all the staff always spoke to my youngest.
The lady who greated us everytime we went into the Restaurant was especially nice, always happy and seemed genuinely pleased to see us.
The entertainment team were great, Gunther who was the entertainment manager was brilliant as was Lorenzo, I have never seen everyone get up and go the club dance as they did the week we were there.
Beach was good but take good beach shoes as the shingle gets very hot. We would definitely go back.

| said: I travelled to Rodos Village on 5th July with my parents and two friends for my 18th birthday. We had another two friends who went out the week before for two weeks so we were lucky as they were able to show us around. Otherwise it would take you a week to work out where everything is as it is a big complex.
We went to a sister hotel of Rodos Village last year a Mitsis hotel in Kos and thought that we would be on the safe side going to another Mitsis this year, and from hindsight it was an absolutely fantastic holiday. However first impressions were something different. I thought to myself i don't want to spend my 18th here as the hotel is very hickeldy pickledy. The Ampitheatre is at the top of a mountain, the beach is over the bridge and at the bottom of a mountain but you soon get used to it. We were lucky that we requested a room in the actual hotel.
We didn't spend much time on the beach but if you do i'm sure you'll have fun as Animator Lorenzo was down there most of the time! We instead spent most of our time by the pool being entertained by animator Roman and Anya who were great. If you want to spend your time by the pool you have to be down there at 7.15am to get a sunbed.
The rooms were very nice. We were over the kitchen so from our balcony the view was of the kitchen roof and the room opposite.
The food was in my opinion the hotels downfall but everyone has different opinions and the majority of the party in which i travelled liked the food.
The hotel staff we the nicest people ever! The lady there to greet you on arrival to the restaurant should be one of the entertainers as she was so funny. The waiters and bar staff too were incredibly nice.
The entertainment team were the hotels best quality and made my birthday that much more enjoyable. I had 'happy birthday' sung to me about 10 times and all the men in the hotel had to line up and kiss me on the animation teams orders. Just thought i'd warn you if you are going out there for a birthday! The activities consist of darts, water polo, coffee quiz, crazy game and cocktail game (changes every day) and aqua gym by the pool and other games such as volleyball on the beach. If you lose you have to do the infamous wishy washi dance! The nightime entertainment was great and one show was of a very high standard (surprising for an all inclusive hotel!) There were 11 animators in total and them just like all of the staff worked extremely hard!
I would definitely want to go back there again and would recommend this hotel to everyone except those who hate hills!

| said: Hello everybody !!
The first time I stayed in Rodos Village was in October 2000 and I loved the hotel from my first visit on. After these great holidays my family and I kept going there every year.
We really like the nice beach and the refreshing blue ocean. Moreover you get a nice tan there.
The food in the restaurant is very good and in the pizzeria at the top pool as well. The rooms are very comfortable and big. Having a room to the seaside is awesome because of the wonderful view.
You are able to do many sport activities
( beach volleyball, beach soccer, surfing, tennis, stretching, jetski, waterski, darts, watergym, waterpolo etc. ).
Moreover the animation team is doing a great job during the daytime and the nighttime. Playing cocktail games and doing sports at the pool and on the beach. If you don't like animation every day you can go to one of the top pools to relax because animation is just on the bottom pool. The night animation with shows, mini disco, bingo or tombola and adult disco is fun for everyone.
The last time I was there was in June 2006 and they had the best animation team ever. I am so excited to be able to watch the night entertainment again this October. It's going to be the seventh time for me visiting the hotel.
I can't say anything bad about the hotel. I've read many times on this page that the staff were rude. I really can't agree with that. We never had any problems with the staff and everybody knows that 5 stars hotel in the Mediterranean can't be compared to a 5 stars hotel in Britain, Germany or Austria. I can tell you that the hotel never disappointed me.
One last hint: Don't just stay at the hotel the whole time. Go on some trips. Rhodes is very pretty and exciting to discover.

Only a short walk to the beach across a bridge and through the neighbouring hotels grounds to the beach. The beach is coarse sand and shingle so you need beach shoes. Once in the sea there are lots of fish even at ankle depth. Always seem to be sun loungers free although hotel was fully booked.
Food was perfectly adequate, although not the most vegetarian friendly place on earth I always found something even though I'm the fussiest eater ever born.
Rooms were a good size and very clean. The maid made the bed each day and changed the towels. Never a queue at any of the bars and some good cocktails are included. There are three outdoor pools and one indoor and they did not become overcrowded.

The all inclusive drinks get a bit boring after 4/5 days Lowenbrau lager instant hangover. Definitely not enough seats to sit on at night in the bar area it’s like a sun bed fight.
The plumbing in the rooms not adequate exploding loos.
Some more sand on the beach would be good its not much fun trying to sun bath on rubble/shingle make sure you take beach shoes or boots.
Entertainment was a bit like songs from the shows but some people like that sort of thing not for me. All the bar and cleaning staff spot on.
The management a bit hoity toyti.

| said: Hotel was clean and well presented. Would not recommend room 643 unless you are very fit as I have recently completed London Marathon, but still found this one a challenge every day, especially after visiting the bar. At least a 1 in 25 hill climb, your luggage is delivered by minibus as you are not able to use lift.
Staff were friendly at all times!.
Entertainment staff were very good, made every effort to get to know their clients. Especially Lorenzo! a absolute star, he even got my husband playing volleyball!
Food was not very appetising, cheap cuts meat, lucky if you got two small pieces for main meal. Got feedup by end of week with selection of food.
Bar staff were very good, tried to please even though they only had one choice of beer to offer!! and no option to purchase other than All Inc. offers. Good bar directly adjacent to hotel, we had a very good evening with entertainment as well as the company we were with.

The buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner were all excellent with loads of choice.
If you want a change from the buffet style meal at lunch time or dinner time you can book the restaurant near the top pool and have waiter service - the food there was also very nice.
It was a bonus having the beach bar for snacks, drinks and ice-cream (which was in on the ai deal).
The staff were all very smart and helpful.
The entertainment group did try there best, if you didn't want to join in the day activities at the bottom pool you just needed to go up to the top pool but it is quite a climb!
The only down side to the hotel was the shower, it was not very good and the water was often coolish.
The sunbeds at the pool were always taken by the time we arrived or should I say booked by towels, it was annoying if people didn't appear to use them.
I would go back to this hotel, it was lovely for a nice relaxing, chill week.

The food left a lot to be desired, the meat was cheap cuts and the variety was poor, the veggies and salads were ok.
Queuing was a problem towards the end of the week when the hotel was busier. The pools were good but there was a foot bridge and 400 yard walk to get to the beach, there was no mention of this in the brochure.
The staff were friendly and the animation team worked hard, they didn't pester you and the kids seemed to enjoy the entertainment. There was windsurfing paragliding and waterskiing at a charge.

| said: The hotel was lovely. It was great to have a choice of several pools - and a beach as well.
Four bars altogether and snacks available all day including Greek salads and fruit.
The food available for lunch and dinner was fine. A wide range of pasta dishes, salads, meats (being grilled in front of you, fish dishes, vegetables etc etc. There were probably around 15 different desserts on offer. There was a wide range for breakfast as well. Our kids tried most things. Again like other people have said - if you are pie and chips people and your kids just eat chicken nuggets then you'll not like the food!
Entertainment was the first I have seen where they have got almost all of the audience to participate.
The drinks were definitely not watered down at all!!
We drink a variety of wine and enjoyed the red, white and rose!
There is an outside 'lounge' as well as other area to enjoy a drink if you don't want to watch the entertainment, as well as a games room.
The hotel has a nice gym and beauticians - even its own amphitheatre although there was nothing happening in it while we were there.
The rooms were cleaned/towels changed/sheets changed everyday. The maid would even tidy up for us as well.
We found all the staff, including reception really friendly.
Straight across the road are 2 supermarkets, a jewellers, a couple of restaurants and a bar and a couple of car hire. A five minute walk away is a complex of shops with supermarket, bar, café, jewellers, cash machine, gift shops, aqua massage, leather shop etc.
I would recommend hiring a car from Rodos cars and driving to Lindos and Rhodes town.
The only downside to the hotel is the rooms - 3 star I would say.

| said: This hotel was probably a 5* a few years ago, but a 3* is more realistic. The hotel reception area is very impressive, as is the view from the hotel to the sea. The receptionists (depending on whose on duty)were quite surly and at times rude.
The drinks were great, beer(Lowenbrau)and spirits were good. We dont drink wine so couldn't comment on that. Ice creams were tasty, lunch time snacks of pizza, salad, chips (v. greasy but kids didnt mind), and hotdogs. Food in hotel of an evening was hit and miss, but could usually find something edible most nights. Cheap cust of meat, not a chicken breast in a fortnight!. Italian restaurant, for which you must prebook was lovely shame you couldnt eat there every night!
The pools were very cold, and cleaned only every other day which is not enough in high season. The floor areas were very clean. Not towels on sunbeds before 8am, otherwise they end up at reception which is a great idea and worked well. Beach was nice & quite, soft shingle beach, all inclusive bar and snacks & icecream available there too.
Entertainment was great, a bit full on during the day, but they never hassle you to do anything you dont want to. Evenings are a bit rowdy, mini disco, bingo, and then a show, but they work very hard and some nights it was great. However if you dont enjoy it there is NOTHING else to do, the area is dead apart from one bar and restaurant and a couple of supermarkets. The kids enjoyed it so cannot complain, if they're happy, we're happy. However, wouldnt return here as food not great and a bit too far out of the way.

Mostly clean and staff helpful.
The food became boring after a few days - I could not have taken it for more than 1 week.
The beach (though it is stones not sand) was much quieter than the hotel pools.
There was little in the resort itself so it would not suite someone hoping for an opportunity to have evening walks to shops etc.

| said: The hotel is fantastic, the staff were great, the rooms were lovely if you were in the main part of the hotel. The rooms were cleaned every day and as a family of four the rooms had tons of space.
The food in the main resturant was good did not find anything to moan about in the whole eleven days we were there, if you do get bored the is an italian resturant at the top pool if you fancy a change.
The entertainment team were the best we have ever seen,
Kurtz kept everybody laughing for the whole day every day and at night the whole team were fab! Makrim, Kurtz, Lorenzo, Miriam and Barbra had the whole hotel in stitches with their fantastic shows which they put on every night themselves. The bar staff were great and very welcoming they could not do enough for us.
The beach is just a short walk away and you also get the all inclusive at the beach, the beach is very clean and loads to do there.
We only booked this holiday a week before we left for eleven nights and we should have booked it for two weeks as we did not want to come home!! This was the best holiday we have ever had and we are thinking of going back in september.
So, if you want a holiday where you can have as much fun as your kids then go to this hotel.

I really didnt want to come home.
I will definatley be back to the hotel, the staff are really nice, apart from a couple of snooty receptionists.

The staff were excellent, there was a total of 20 people in our party. We all traveled to Rhodes as my Father inlaw was getting married. The management layed on a top table which was decorated and the wedding march was played for the happy couple as they entered. They also closed down the Pizzria where the function was to be held. and all the staff stayed on late to help with the function. Specilal foos was layed on and All 3 hotel managers were there to ensure the function went well. This was all done at no extra cost.
The animation team was brilliant for all the family.
One of the best holidays I have had.
I recommend this holiday and every person in my party would agree with me. Well done Rhodos Village!!!

| said: This place was fantastic, very clean, lovely friendly staff and obviously the people that don't enjoy the food prefer pie and chips!
Breakfast juices are a little on the sweet side but you can have tea, chocolate and coffee for breakfast, even WATER!
There is a varied choice of food for breakfast from a croissant ( freshly made) to fried eggs and bacon. All the main meals are excellent. The hotel caters for people from Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Spain and and ensure that they incorporate some of each of the countries foods in to the menu... not an easy job! My husband is very fussy but he found food to eat and my son is even fussier yet he coped.
The pools are fantastic, clean and there is a great entertainment team on hand, Lorenzo and Kurt are brilliant! Sunbed wise, we got 4 of these every day and we weren't on the pool side until at least 10.00am each morning. The Germans and Danish preferred the beach (word of warning it is a shingle beach).
Staff are all really friendly and helpful, though I do think that some of the reception staff are a little to full of themselves. Need to come down a peg or two.
The drinks are all okay, lots of them. The lager is excellent though they do close the bars at midnight so get a few cans in the room.

When we arrived at 2am there was no electric on and no-one could be bokked in. We sat in the foyer until 6:30am and were exhausted.
After a short sleep we got up and a scout around and decided to hire a Jeep (highly recommended as the countryside around Rhodes is breathtaking).
We ate in the hotel the first night and there was a good choice of food which I would say was adequate but not really upto my standard. I would agree that it is probably 3.5* rather than 5.
The staff were tremendous and taught us bits of Greek which proved very useful in the more remote parts.
We did the full tour of Rhodes in the little Jeep and I have to say enjoyed every minute. The hotel provided a packed lunch which could be ordered in the restaurant or from the snooty receptionists.
In the evenings we took the Jeep and ate out in a small town called Lardos at a place called Roulas which is a must, they are fabulous with exceptional food very reasonably priced.
In short a must, but do hire a Jeep and see the islands its stunning.

The hotel was very clean - maids come in and clean your room daily changing sheets and towels and wiping the floor - and were also very friendly.
The reception staff were also very nice as well as well as the restaurant and bar staff.
The food was nice at all times - if you didn’t like what was in the main restaurant you can go to the Italian or the snack bar.
The animation team were very good. Trying to get you to take part in all the activities and weren’t too pushy if you didn’t want to get up. They also did the entertainment on an evening. First of all the kids disco, then bingo (which was quite expensive but you don’t have to take part!!) and then the shows - most of them very funny!!
The pool area was also clean, staff came around regularly to clean away any plates and glasses from the snack bar.
As the restaurant is built into a cliff it isn’t suitable for people with mobility difficulties, but anyone can tell that from reading the website.
All in all a very enjoyable holiday!

The hotel is basically clean, and is kept that way by it seems of an efficient cleaning staff. But it is not a five star by any stretch of the imagination. My room was clean but the bed was very hard, however i did have hot water(some guests said theirs was cold. The food on the whole was terrible, although there were highlights- like the pancakes in the morning, the Pizzeria was good but you need to book. But on the whole the food was bland, lukewarm and repetative, also on friday seemed it was all fish dishes I came home with an upset stomach.Staff were quite friendly and helpful and most would smile and greet you. The entertainment staff worked very hard and were very friendly. The drinks are bearable after several (of the alcholic variety). The fruit juices were palatble. I asked if i could have a bottle of water for my room and was told that this was'nt possible ???!!!

Hotel location was a bit more remote than we expected,
it was very clean 75% of the time, food left a great deal to be desired. After numerous people went down with stomach complaints the food improved slightly (luckily it is only 10 minutes on the bus to Lardos excellent resturants and pubs).
The entertainment is great if you are under 8 years old or want to watch the same sort of thing every day.

| said: Rodos Holiday Village is not 5 star by any means. Hygiene is poor. On trips to the pool bar I asked for two beers and there were no clean glasses. The barman rinsed two used glasses under a cold water tap and filled them with beer. Also in the outdoor pool toilets there was no soap, no towels or any means with which to dry your hands and on many occasions no toilet paper. Also people were walking in to the toilets barefooted which was awash with water and goodness knows what and then promptly dived into the pool with wet feet.
We also observed the chef using the same toilets with no hand washing facilities before proceeding back to the kitchens. I myself went down with a bad tummy bug and was visited by the doctor. This bug lasted the whole of the two week holiday.
I am now seeing my own doctor after several days of being at home and am awaiting hospital test results. I hasten to add we will not be returning to Hotel Mitsis Rodos Village.

| said: We found the hotel to be clean at all times. Food was o.k as I eat most things, but my husband and daughter were disappointed in the choice for veggie food. The location is not for the under 25s unless they are loooking for a very relaxing holiday. All the hotel staff were very friendly, especially Stellios who guides you too your table in the restuarant.Say Hi from the PENDA lady... Also you must have lunch and dinner in the pizzeria by the top pool..wonderful pizza and pasta... served by none other than Byron.. say hello from Emma.. The entertainment staff are excellent, how they keep going is beyond comprehension although it can be very child orientataed and then at 9.30 very adult even though the kids may still be up.. Best shows were, The transexual show, and the sketch show, very funny. Yes I would go back just for the relaxing time that we all had..

| said: Returned 2 days ago from our holiday at the Rodos Village hotel.
Problems started at the airport - having to wait over a hour for our luggage to be taken off the plane. Too many night flights arriving from the UK within the space of a hour!!
Got to the hotel only to be given a room which seemed miles away - one of the highest spots on the complex - over 100 steps and ramps. A nightmare as we have a 5 year old and a 10 month old. Straightway asked to be moved - only to be told no chance until Wednesday (4 days wait). Bear in mind the temp was in the 40's every day. A nightmare having to traipse all that way with our son in his buggy along with all the usual paraphernalia. The room itself was OK. 4 single beds were provided.
The guy at Sunstar had ordered a cot for our son but they supplied a bed for him. They did finally change it though. Got moved to room 133 on the Wednesday as promised. Much better but we were all glad of the earplugs I'd packed at the music from the bar was defening until midnight. (Great if you like Bon Jovi).
Food was pretty non descript - but our daughter enjoyed the pancakes at breakfast. By the end of the holiday though it was awful. Queing was a major problem - reminicent of school dinners. Only seemed to have 1 CD in the resturant -
I never want to hear 'Lady in Red' or 'Carrie' again.
'Animation' staff did their best but after a couple of evenings of the mini disco and bingo we gave up.
Three swimming pools - Main one spoilt in the day by the animation team. 'Darts?' - give me a break - if we'd have wanted Butlins we'd have gone to Minehead!
Small pool half way up was nice - highest pool spoilt by groups of teenagers snogging and swearing at the tops of their voices.
Staff were OK - reception staff all need lessons in good customer service though. Had to pay 50 euros to keep our room until 11pm on the night of departure (2am pick up followed by 3 hour delay at airport finally left Rhodes at 9am the following morning.)
Hate to complain about holidays - we were determined to enjoy our selves but I came back more stressed out than when we left.

| said: I stayed at the hotel for one week in possibly the most busiest week of the season. we stayed all inclusive, i found the food to be great always well cooked, always hot and the desserts to be amazing. Although the fod was great there is no variety same old same old. All food tends to look the same and i would go as far to say as taste the same. Drinks not bad all tasted the same again me and my family gave the juice a name 'mystery juice'. Whether you ask for orange, pineapple, grapefruit you will get this one juice. (also i will tell you all of the juices are cordials and they mix them up with there own tap water, not goood for your stomachs.
All round the hotel was clean and tidy. although round the pool the glasses were left for quite a while, that can be dangerous.
The location of the hotel is very much isolated but found that fine. With the exception of a few small tavernas and bars and two small tourist shops opposite there is not much. If you are looking for nightlife Kiotari is not what you want!.
We had no problems at all with the hotel staff. Receptionists spoke good english and were as helpfull as they could be. Waiters again pleasent, along iwth cleaners, gardeners and maids. I will mention the shop in the hotel is rediculously expensive compared to the two others across from the hotel. It is well worth walking the extra 5 mins to them.
The entertainment in this hotel is awful unless you are under ten. The team were always pleasent and always smiled but if you did not sit at that section of the pool, were the entertainment happend nights became pretty boring.
All in all i had a good family break away. i would go back to this hotel and i would reccomend it. Altough i would not reccomend you booked it with sunstar leisure (what a waste of time holiday company)
apart from that the holiday was fine no complaints.

| said: We went to Rodos Maris on an late deal on an all inclusive basis so can't fault it for value. We have 3 kids ages 1,8,12, the older two absolutely loved it, they really enjoyed their freedom around the pools.
Entertainment was more family orientated, but the kids were happy and then so were we!! The staff in the main restaurant were great, always helpful didn't have to wait for a baby chair, they were straight there.
The food was more continental but was always hot when we were there, breakfasts not good at all though. The staff at all the bars were brilliant especially George at the pool bar!!
You do have to pre-book the taverna but it is well worth it we all enjoyed it. Staff can't do enough for you. The room was a little bit cramped but only because we had a travel cot and 2 camp beds.
The weather was great so we hardly spent any time in there. The cleaners came everyday and they kept everything spotless.
The sea had a sudden drop after a few feet so I would advise a little caution with the kids until they are used to it. The sand is red hot!!!!!
We would definately go there again.
P.S. no problem with international branded drinks they were always on offer!

| said: On arrival at the hotel we were giving two rooms in the main hotel building on the second floor. On entering our rooms we found filth under beds which was still there when we left. Outside the rooms there were beds left for 4 or 5 days, there was broken glass which was not moved even when we complained to reception. Each morning between 5 and 6 we were woken by extremely loud banging coming from the kitchen as we were directly above it. This was for the entire holiday. The pool, is the most dangerous place we have ever come across. Immedietly around the pool is tiled, extremely slippy, during our stay one male guest had a tray full of drinks which were in glass and china plates, slipped fell onto his back, glass shattered in every direction including the pool. When reported to pool bar the guest was given a pan and brush to clean it up. We were horrified. Another guest had her holiday ruined due to broken glass again around the pool, which she had walked into and ended up in hospital for the remain of her holiday.
Night time entertainment was OK, but the shortage of chairs was ridiculous, the so called bar was a table with a cloth over it, and the ques were just beyond belief. My husband was spoken to in an extremely rude manner after ordering his drinks, he was extremely upset, for which there was no apology.
The location of this hotel is extremely hilly which we found difficult for the push chair. To say it is 100m to the beach we find questionable. After walking it twice in the extreme heat, we gave up.
Both restaurants were very good, however the pizzaria would have been better if you didn't have to book, to make it more available.
We as a family would DEFINITLY NOT vistit this hotel ever again.

| said: I love the whole sand, sea and sun aspect of the holiday idea's. I was in a party of 15 and had 2 children under the age of 9 and an elderly lady in my party, the rest of us where between 14 and 50.
I found the the hotel catered for every age group and made us feel welcomed and relaxed, the food was nice, the maids were very pleasant and always folded the sheets in a way that made you feel welcomed throughout the two weeks we were there.
The location was nice as it has a shop near by and the beach is only about a 5 or 10 minute walk away. This made the place nice and quiet.
The staff were very helpful and this made the holiday enjoyable for the whole group.

| said: Arrived at Rhodos Village on the 26th July from the minute we arrived we enjoyed ourselves, the staff are exceptionally friendly, but like everyone else they can have a bad day!!!
The food was good most evenings, the odd night didnt find too much that we liked to eat so a couple of nights we went out to eat in a village called Lardos well worth a visit it is a small local village with some nice bars and restaurants to eat in.
The entertainment was very good and the animation team work very hard indeed doing darts' water gym, waterpolo etc and if you don't want to doing anything they don't push it too hard. We met some very nice people on our holiday and had a great time drinking and chatting etc. There were some very moany ones as well that didnt like children enjoying themselves like them jumping in the pooland generally enjoying themselves!!!
All in all had a great holiday would recemmend the hotel

| said: After reading terrible reports about the place we were dreading going. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM! Hotel was lovely(not 5 star by our standards, more like 4).The food was fantastic with a great selection every day. Staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. It's pretty hilly but that wasn't a problem, and the beach isn't pure white sands, but hey, you can't have it all! The only problem we encountered were moaning English holiday makers who did nothing but whinge about anything and everything. Forget the German's and the sunbed thing, believe us, we are much worse. Apart from that, we had a great holiday at this hotel, and also recommend venturing to the nearby taverna's, which were lovely too.
