| said: This was my first time at this hotel and I was very worried before going due to the terrible reviews that had been posted. I needed have worried as this hotel was excellent and my family and I had a great time. There are in my opinion improvements that the hotel could make and I and other guests have suggested them to very receptive management and I believe this hotel will only get better over the coming months and next year.
Reception - Very professional and friendly staff. Spoke excellent English. Only complaint here was the price of the safety box (70 YTL) and the late checkout (68 YTL)
Rooms - We were in a room under the kids club and it didn't get much natural daylight due to the location but the room was spotless, big and the beds were comfortable. We hardly spent any time in the room so this wasn't a big issue but if we go back to this hotel then I would ask to stay in the rooms overlooking the Olive Garden.
The maid, although didn't speak good English (although her English is better than my Turkish!), did a very good job.
Hotel Grounds - The grounds were superb. The landscaping was lovely and there were flowers growing everywhere which gave the hotel a lot of colour. There were plenty of marble benches and shaded swinging benches to sit and relax. The gardeners work very hard to keep the grounds looking so good.
Look for the huts with bean bags just past the Olive Garden. They were great to relax in the shade. There are also two large shaded areas at the Olive Garden and where the huts were.
Pools - I can't comment on the relax pool as I didn't go there as we had a small child but it seems like a very good idea and was busy.
The main pool was excellent and very clean. I'm not sure why people are saying they had a problem getting a sunbed. I was there when the hotel was full and as long as you got down to the pool by around 9am then you would get at least 4 beds in a row with a parasol - I did not see anyone having a problem getting a bed. If you just wanted a bed then you could get one at any time.
Only a minor criticism here is that there wasn't much space around the kids pool to put a bed and there weren't as many bins (although staff would regularly pick up any litter of empty drink cups.
Meals
If you come here looking for purely British food then you will be disappointed. The food had to cater for all Nationalities and was a good mix. To be honest, why go to Turkey if all you want to eat is what you get back home!
Also there were no issues with getting a seat. We generally went at the busy times and the 3 of us usually got a table to ourselves but occasionally shared, which was no problem. If you went as a group of more than 6 then you may struggle at busy times but the waiters did a very good job of getting a table for you.
There was also plenty of plates and cutlery and if by chance there was none on your table then the waiters would put new cutlery on your table straight away.
The waiters were very friendly and helpful. They would clear your plates right away, help you to your seat with your food if you were older or had a young child and would get drinks for you. By the end of the holiday, they even knew what drinks to get us without asking! They had to deal with some very abusive guests and to their credit, never reacted!
Breakfast - There was a very good mix. The bread and rolls were fresh and excellent. Plenty of cereals, yoghurts, cheeses and cold meats. The hot section consisted of eggs (boiled, scrambled, fried, French toast and omelettes). There were pastries and sausages (No bacon but Management are looking into this). There was also plenty of fresh fruit.
It did get a bit samey towards the end of the holiday but I don't see what else they could provide for breakfast.
Lunch - Again a very good selection. This time there were soups, bread & rolls, pastas, meat, pizzas, breaded chicken, rice, potatoes, veg, fresh fruit. Basically spoiled for choice.
Dinner - 2 soups, plenty of salad, bread, lots of choice on the self service. This was generally meats in different stews or sauces but all hot and tasty. There was a section where different foods were cooked in front of you. There were stir fries, pastas, grilled meats (fish, chicken, kebabs and steak generally). You sometimes had to queue for 5 mins to get this food so a good tip is to get your rice or potatoes last so they stay hot. There was also a carvery section most nights with either chicken, lamb or beef with gravy or different sauces.
Plenty of fresh fruit again and the sweets were generally cakes which we didn't bother with but there was ice cream some nights.
We never went hungry any night and there were always at least 4 options that we could choose from (sometimes more!).
You could also get Turkish Pizzas at various times of the day. They were lovely and very popular. If you looked, there were also Turkish pancakes being made in one of the shaded huts just past the Olive Garden. You could have meat of lemon & sugar pancakes. These were also superb.
I wasn't impressed with the snack bar as this is not the type of food I generally eat. The food quality here is just like any snack bar back home but this was very popular and the kids seem to love it!
Bars & Drinks - The bar staff were on the whole excellent and friendly. There were some new guys learning the ropes so they were a bit slower. These guys work around 14 hours a day in the heat and have to deal with very demanding customers. I never once had to wait any longer than a couple of minutes for a drink but if I saw the bar we really busy then I would go to the lobby bar or olive garden bar where there was never a queue.
The beer is decent and the vodka is good (and not watered down - trust me!). The white wine was ok with a meal but we didn't drink this any other time. Other guests loved the Gin and Raki, not to mention the cocktails as well. I didn’t hear one complaint about the quality of drink or the barstaff.
There is plenty of water and soft drinks in numerous locations throughout the hotel and if anything ran it then it was replaced within minutes.
Entertainment - I'll start off by saying that they work very hard and are friendly and decent guys but they are not the most talented set of entertainers and the entertainment is very amateurish. This was improving as I left and they have employed a new entertainment manager to oversee this. There was also some live shows that were quite good.
You will end up doing the club dance (as cheesy as it is). The music choice isn't the best at night though and seems to be Turkish club music which was suited best for the guests - a mix of music would have worked better.
The best nights were the beach party, Turkish night and the nights the football was put on a big screen on the stage. We were lucky enough to witness Turkey doing well in the competition and the atmosphere was electric and when they won the 1/4 final the full place erupted and staff and guest partied the full night.
There were activities during the day (water polo, beach volleyball, darts etc) - my tip is to get involved. This is a great way to meet people and have fun.
I met many lovely people on holiday and this was a very friendly hotel where all Nationalities mixed. Many of the people I met are already booking up for next year. I may do as well, we haven't decided what we are doing next year but if we go back to Olu Deniz then we will stay at this hotel.
So in summary, this is an excellent hotel, that may have had some teething problems but the Management team are working very hard to address any issues and if anything this hotel will only improve further. If you are considering not going after reading some earlier reviews, please take a chance as you will not regret it!

| said: We have been visiting this hotel for 8 years now and this was our 14th visit. We were disappointed because all of the staff we knew had gone.
The general cleanliness was not as good and the food standard was also nothing like it had been in previous years. The entertainment was also different.
However things did improve over the holiday. We talked with the new general manager and voiced our feelings about the changes.
However although it had changed for us, anyone visiting who hasn't been before we don't think would be disappointed and we will return.
The changes were because the hotel has been rented so all new management who I believe are trying to get their act together.

| said: We Really enjoyed our stay at the Olu Deniz resort hotel, there were a couple of things we thought maybe could have been a little bit better but this may have been due to it being the first week of the season. The food selection was generally very good, if you want english food dont come to this hotel, but then i can't understand why people go abroad if they arent prepared to try the local food !! The breakfast selection was sometimes a bit strange we coudnt work out if the turkish have warm carrots and cucumber for breakfast or if they think we do !! but there was a wide selection of breads and rolls, cheeses, meats, jams, yogurts and cereals, there were also freshly cooked omelettes, fried eggs and pancakes. At lunchtime and teatime there was a wide range of hot foods and salads and lots of lovely cakes !!!!. At the end of the restaurant there is an area where food is freshly cooked during dinner, watch out for what looks like bits of freshly grilled steak !! it may be liver as i found out !!! The hotel is a main block with lots of smaller blocks of rooms laid out in lovely gardens and is very very clean we had a family room which was quite big enough and the maids did a very good job although we did have to complain one day when we got back to our room and found that the door had been left unlocked and the balcony door was open, which is ok if no-one could get onto the balcony, which they could on ours. The manger offered us a free meal at the a la carte restaurant which is an extra £2.50 each if you want to try it, we had a kebab which as very nice. Most of the staff were very good except for one of the ladies on reception who was quite miserable !! The entertainment staff were very enthusiastic. The pool area was spotless although not vey big for the size of the hotel it was full in may, i dread to think what it is like in august. There is another pool called the relax pool for adults only which is near the tennis courts. The hotel is on the edge of the beach, and about a five minute walk to the main street. If we went to this area of turkey again we would definitely stay here again.

| said: We stayed at the Olu Deniz resort for 2 weeks in May 2008. We arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night and did not really know where we had landed, so coming out our room in the morning was a huge surprise. The resort is STUNNING. Huge mountains surround the Olu Deniz resort and paragliders sail above all day long, landing just outside the hotel grounds.
The staff at the hotel are so friendly and Ozzy at the kids club was a big favourite. The hotel is all-inclusive, and the food was very good – the puddings were fabulous (breakfast was a little strange sometimes – rice pudding and chips!!) – but there was always something for even the fussiest eaters. Drinks and coffee were available all day long which was fantastic. The hotel resort was very clean, the maids did a great job every day and the pool area was kept immaculate. The rooms were very dark which is the only thing I could fault (but very clean), and as we spent so little time in the room it didn’t really matter. The hotel has its own private beach at the blue lagoon (5 minutes drive away) with a little bus 3 times a day, where you have free use of the pedal boats and canoes, and can sit at the lagoon on huge bean bags, although the sand there is still a little uncomfortable.
The hotel was located I would say in the best part of Olu Deniz, right at the beach front, away from any noise, and felt very safe for children as the security men (and whisky the dog) were at the front and rear entrances and only residents were allowed entry to the hotel).
The entertainment team worked very hard all day long, and the kids loved the early evening discos. The evening entertainment for adults was not brilliant, but I’d give them 10/10 for trying so hard with the props they had.
If I were to return to Olu Deniz then I would most definitely stay in the Olu Deniz Resort Hotel, and would recommend anyone visiting to stay here.

| said: This hotel deserves all the praise it gets. Clean and tidy throughout with any spillages or litter promptly tidied up.
Food. You are in Turkey so please don't expect 'British' grub! There is a large food selection to choose from, not only with the cooked meats and fish but also with the vegetable dishes too, definitely something for everyone. The desserts went down a treat with our family, also the pancakes made on the spot were a hit with the kids and me!
The hotel is right next to the beach so you only have a 2 minute walk to get there. Very nice location with plenty greenery and scenery!? spread throughout the complex. We loved the deep red, purple and pink colours of the flowers as well. Nicely laid out paths with nooks and crannies along the way with nice spots in the grounds to take some good holiday snaps.
The staff could not have been more helpful, always ready to help with any enquiry or problems. The cleaners were punctual and efficient (with two kids in the apartment they had their work cut out!). Dining room and bar staff were prompt and helpful. Even the gardners were out in force every morning, to tidy up the flowers and fallen leaves etc.
End of season, so the entertainment was not as good as I believe it was during the summer months. We spent more time down the streets at the stalls rather than at the hotel, although there always seemed to be a small crowd watching the entertainment.
Would I visit again? A resounding yes, beautiful location, beautiful hotel, friendly staff and a wonderful beach. Just what you want in a holiday!

| said: We stayed for a week and could not believe previous reports about rubbish being swept into the pool and the quality of the drinking water. Absolutely untrue. Just look at the previous reports! The hotel was spotlessly clean and was in a good location. The food was a good selection of salads and vegetables as well as meat and fish. If you go there expecting pie and mash or chips you won't get it. The only complaint we did have about the food was that there was no bacon or sausages at breakfast, but we made do until lunchtime when we had a lovely meal. The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for you. We complained after a couple of days because our room was near to the disco and was too loud at 1.00am so they moved us to a quieter location. The entertainment was not top class, but Bob and his team did a wonderful job and Bob should be admired for his pure energy and command of several languages - absolutely brilliant. Yes we would book to go here again - a great hotel.

| said: This hotel is def not 4 star, it lack the quality you usually find. We had a family room that was super, the maid came every day, and when we were ill, she would come when it was convienient. Did I say ill, they have a big sign that says all the drinks and food is prepared from bottled water... why did I find them filling up the soft drinks straight from the tap.. the locals dont even drink this water.
do not drink the water they give you at the bar or restaurant. you will be ill.
We used the thompson holiday line midway through as the pool was so dirty you could not see the bottom. also the snack bars, and the main bar closed when they felt like it. The complaints we made were addressed ,but towards the end it had slipped back.
Best bit is watching them sweep up the rubbish around the entire bar area, and sweep it straight into the pool.
the food was ok, sometimes hot, they have a microwave in the restaurant, so you could heat your food up. Nice salad bar, good deserts, not 4 star.
entertainment team were rubbish, in fact they were so bad they were funny, they organised a diving game, one lad hit the bottom and went to hospital, this was right under the no diving sign !!
the entertainment team during the time I was there had great fun entertaining each other and anything in a skirt.
on the whole this place wasnt terrible, but was it not for the decent holiday makers there I would of left after a week.
We are still all on antibiotics for ear problems etc, incidentaly so were 2 of entertainers.
The best bits, nice big room, and mints at reception and drinks on the beach.
the worst, the illness, the ice,
some guests said they had enjoyed it. I think we were spoiled at the Belcekiz the year before.
this place could be good, they need to sack some staff, sack the manager and his son, give the rest a kick, it certainly has the potential to be good, but they lack quality.

Could not fault the food even though we ate out on a few occasions,it was all good quality, well presented and lots of variations each day. hotel gardens are well kept and the place is spotless. hotel is located on the beach front about 200m away from the sea. fresh towels are given out daily for beach or pool use. staff cant do enough for you, very friendly as are all the locals.I noticed streight away you dont get the holiday hassle of touts and flyer pushers in the town its self.
we would defo go again....might try the hotel next door the beckias beach , just for a variation.
to summ up i would say thety the oludeniz beach resort is a 3stars+ hotel but the staff and the food get 4stars from us.Great value for money!

| said: stayed in 3 rms, 1 family ( very big but air con rubbish ), 1 standard and 1 economy( for the teenagers).
Pools - had seen comments on being crowded, noisy etc, were slightly worried, however we always got a sunbed and we didnt try till about 9am, was fairly busy but it was the sch hols,( what do you expect?) I think having the over 16 pool has probably helped.
Hotel very clean, maids efficient, came every day. Waiters always busy and cleaned tables as fast as you ate. Mehmet, Tuncay ,Omar and Kenan all desserve a mention. Each one covered certain tables and were happy to get your drinks once you had sat down.
Food good, good selection, typical Turkish, lots of lovely salads, pancakes cooked at breakfast, omelettes freshly made in the restaurant and the Olive Garden from 10 - 11am. Some gorgeous baklava one evening for dessert. Children ate loads of ice cream and the turkish pizza very nice.
Went to the a la carte, well worth £2.50pp loads of food, very relaxing.
Ask for a cherry liquer and lemonade at the bar, these aren't publicised and are free, also cocktail happy hour 11 - 12am kids and adults, free !!
Location very good, right next to beach about 10 min stroll to main street.
Staff we met all friendly and helpful, entertainment staff worked hard, a bit amateur, but this is Turkey.
All in all a brilliant time had , this was third visit to Oludeniz, have stayed in Majestic hotel and Club Sun City.
If theres one trip you do book a jeep safari, should cost around £10pp, £5 for kids, brilliant fun, suits all ages, prepare to get wet as its one big water fight. We saved our water bottles, put holes in the lids and we were ready ! A long day 8am- 7ishpm but do it every year!

| said: The first thing to say is this hotel is very International people from all over Europe and Eastern Europe, so dont expect all British.
The food was very good with a wide variety of choice our waiter Kenan was very nice and took the time to get to know us.
The barstaff were busy and sometimes had a way of avoiding eye contact to serve you but if someone shouts in their language from behind you they got served straight away.
The entertainment wasn't good suited for really young kids i think. karaoke nights were good, hearing all the voices from different countries.
The turkish pizza was nice served on sun/tues/thurs at poolside at 1800 to 1930.
Pool was small for amount of guests and there was not enough seating at night time.
Room was kept very clean.
The ultra all inclusive means you get bottles of water put in your mini fridge.
Paragliding company at hotel was very good and very proffessional compared to some others we seen at top of mountain.
The towels for the pool and beach was a good touch and could be changed daily.
Adult pool nice and quite with pool bar we only used it once because of kids but would be good for adults to get away from the hustle and bustle of main pool.

Had a great time , hard to fault anything . Many people we met were returning 3,4,5 years on the trot & this sums it up .
ALL staff were extremely helpful & work tirelessly , the hotel itself is in a great location & is kept spotlessly clean . Food is the best hotel food i have had , fresh , plentiful & varied .
The entertainment team work from morning to night & make a real fuss of the children & adults alike .
When leaving you feel as if you are saying goodbye to long standing friends as bar , restaurant & entertainment staff hug you & give you their email adresses etc.
Outside of the hotel you MUST visit 'Spice Boy' who runs a small souvenir shop approx 100 yards from the hotel . He is a real character & everyone in Olu Deniz knows him , please visit him he is so friendly & genuine wether you intend to buy or not he just enjoys having a chat with you .
Olu Deniz is a small resort but has everything you need , bars , restaurants , shops etc. , but for couples it lacks any buzzing nightlife although this can be found at the next resort (Hisaronu) approx 10 minutes away .
I am not easily pleased but would have no qualms recommending this hotel & resort to anyone .

| said: Our first ever trip to Turkey saw us book a last minute All-Inclusive deal to the 4 star Olu Deniz Resort Hotel situated in the resort.
Our first impressions of the hotel were very good as the low rise complex gives you almost unhindered views of Mount Babadan situated behind the hotel with its towering cliff face and twisting roadway.
After a speedy check in our bags were taking to our room by the porter who smiled and made us feel welcome after a long tiring journey made worse by a 4 hour delay and slow mountain transfer from Dalaman Airport.
The room itself was compact but had every thing you needed with decent cupboard space in which the safe was situated and a large double bed and a smaller single bed strewn across the carpeted floor. The bathroom was clean, fully tiled with a smart bath/shower,WC and wash basin incorporating a large mirror and hair-dryer.
Our room(612) was situated on the first floor at the rear of the this complex overlooking the road behind the hotel and views of the next block and tennis courts.
The Hotel had 3 swimming pools with a separate kids pool and a private Adult only pool to the rear.
The Food and staff at the hotel was superb with a buffet style selection of hot and cold dishes to suite all the guests tastes from around Europe. A special mention must go to the staff who simply could not do enough for you and wwere both polite and at times amusing.
The entertainment team did a fine job of keeping the poolside activities going whilst serving up a nightly programme of shows in the evening under the stars.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an above average beach type get away set within the friendly resort of Olu Deniz.
We would highly recommend the Olu Deniz Resort Hotel.
Yes we would return.

We booked to go back to Sun City (nice place) but Thomas Cook overbooked us and transferred us to Olu Deniz resort, but as it turned out the place was wonderful.
We were there for 2 weeks over the children's holidays, yes the beds are close together but there was never a problem getting one. The adult pool opened this year so I think that took some of the pressure off but throughout the day there were always beds available.
The entertainment staff were brilliant Bob arrived 2 days in and really should be in charge as the place lifted, then there was Maria Gusel D.J Mustapha and Meedo they made my boys holiday. The food was lovely and plentiful, you could eat from 7.30 till midnight.
The place is spotless and you get a card when you arrive for towels around the pool and beach so beach towels aren't really needed they replace your water daily in your fridge and also put in sparkling, but you will need an opener.
The bar staff are very quick to serve you.
All in all we had an amazing holiday here.

The leader of the activity team was just a little too fond of his own voice and tended to use his mic to shout at his favourite guests across the pool.
However the food was brilliant and the bar staff excellent. We had fresh linen every day and the rooms, although a bit poky and some dark (ours wasn't) were adequate.

The food is fantastic, and we thought the choice was superb, with a bit of everything. Possibly not a lot if you only eat burgers and chips, but if you're willing to try something new it's definitely worthwhile.

The hotel is clean, the food is second to none and the walk to the village of Olu Deniz is safe but during the day you do have to watch out for the parascenders decending on the promenande. The beach is clean and not crowded. The sea is warm and makes for a thoroughly relaxing swim. The Olu Deniz Resort have thought of everything the holiday maker is looking for and your only problem is where to visit should you be bothered to leave the resort.

Friendly staff, paragliding booked though ReAction was brilliant. Food and drink from breakfast til bedtime.
The Hotel is going Ultra All Inclusive for next year - extra pool, a la Carte resteraunt, stocked minibar etc and amazingly the rates are onlg going up by a couple of pounds per night. We'll be booking for next Spring!!!

| said: We have recently returned from holiday from Olu Deniz resort hotel and thought I had better make a report
after shortly arriving at the hotel we were informed by other guests that there was a bug going round and sure enough me and the wife caught it.
After 2 days of imodium we were still the same with a small amount of other guests comming down with the same systerms we had to go to the local chemist and get some antibiotics which meant no booze.
We reported it to the rep and she confirmed that the bug had been going round for three weeks and stated it was the water so please buy water from the shop .
Now for the good bits the hotels location is very good with the rooms kept very clean and tidy clean sheets and towels every day the grounds are kept beautiful.
The food is all buffet style and looks very well but we didnt eat much in fact u can eat from 7 30am till 9 30pm if you wanted.
The activites are the same every day darts local radio for an hour morning gym, table tennis, rifle shooting, water polo and kids water polo.
Trips to go on are the mud baths and the boat trips.

| said: We stayed at the resort in July, it was my first time in Turkey also all inclusive so I didn't really know what to expect.
I would definitely pay to be all inclusive again, I found that with having a seven year old child that I benefited from the Al, inclusive features.
I found the resort very clean and the maid tidied the room daily.
The location was superb but I felt that they relied on the beach to heavily for customers to sunbathe therefore there was not enough sunloungers to do so. People were getting up at seven am to put towels down to reserve loungers, we found this very annoying, perhaps an addition pool or policing of the area around 7am would ease this!
I found the Turkish food beautiful however it needs to be more varied because eating similar foods for two weeks can become boring, I think that newer options need to implemented to keep up with competition from other hotels.
Hotel staff were efficient and work extremely hard, I particularly enjoyed the shows they were funny and entertaining

| said: We have recently returned from holiday to the Olu Deniz resort hotel and, after reading all the reports on here prior to going thought I had better put one on myself.
On arrival at the hotel we had the speediest checkin ever!We had our wristbands fitted(unfortunatly)and the bellboy took our cases to our room. This was in the ideal position, far enough from the pool area not to be disturbed by the noise at night but close enough for convenience.
The room had a double bed and a set of bunk beds for the kids.It was immaculate with a good size bathroom with bath and shower. The aircon unit was very efficient and was definately needed. One afternoon we returned and the beds had been decorated with flowers and rose petals,a lovely touch. the maids did a fantastic job.
The food here is all buffet and was to a very standard. The Staff in the restaurant were amazing and Mustafa, the assistand manager, always found us a great table. Huge choice of salads plus a great hot counter with meat dishes, veg and potatoes plus always a pasta option.
Occasionally they had a stirfry stand withall kinds of meat, veg and pasta which they cooked with sauces.
All in all the food was great but the place could have benefited from an additional restaurant choice. The food during the day was a little poor and very restricted to certain times of the day, ice cream 10.30-11.30 burgers fries and toasties11.30-12.30,Cheese rolls 2.30-4.30 tea and cakes 4.30-6.30. sometimes they made turkish pizza in the barbecue oven near the pool but only about twice a week.
The pool area was great if a little crowded but we did not have any trouble getting sunbeds, the pool area was, again, spotlessly clean. You could get soft drinks from taps at any time or from the bar.
The alcaholic drinks where a bit limited but we found there to be enough choice for us. They did pool games and aquarobics around the pool and also some other games away from the pool area.
The entertainment team at this hotel are great. Anil, Junior, Eddie, JJ were all fantastic doing shows of an evening which were extremly funny.
The hotel is ideally located for a five minute walk into Olu Deniz and along the beach road you must speak to Spice Boy who is great selling spices and Turkish delight.
Also do book all your trips with East Rider who is along the beach front road. thier trip to Dalyan with mud baths was fantastic. small group, great food, fantastic guide.
My son had agreat time driving the boat along the river. Also loads better value than the reps trips £24 for four for dalyan and we did a sea boat trip which was £5 each with lunch for a a full day trip and both the kids were free! Again great food and waiter service for lunch so no queueing.
Shopping is great and so was meeting the Johnny Depp lookalike dress as Captain Jack Sparrow who works in one of the bars(you can't miss him he stands outside to entice all the ladies in to the bar!).
I loved Turkey even though I was worried about taking the kids and getting ill, we never had any problems and I would recommend it to anyone.

| said: I thought I had already reviewed this hotel from my June 05 holiday there.
I think that says it all doesn't it, it was our second visit.
Location is great. Only three hotels are beach front in Olu, the Belchizi beach (sp??), the oyster residence & this one. The oyster is a small boutique type of hotel. The Belchizi beach doesn't I think do sea-view rooms. The Olu is beach front & does sea-view rooms. They are up a slope like Mount Everest so not for walking difficulties but worth it.
Very clean hotel, gardens kept beautiful, it's like building a hotel in a garden centre. Flowers & shrubs everywhere.
Food very good, great choice. You can eat from 8 till I think 9.30 or 10pm & there is popcorn at 11pm if by any chance you can fit any more in.
Chefs, waiters, bar-staff, chambermaids, gardeners & reception staff great & entertainment staff really good fun. Actually I think the staff are the secret of the success of this hotel, we had the same chambermaid 2 years in a row. Most of the staff were the same.
Water fountains all over the place for drinking water, free bus to take you to lagoon & free beds & brollys at lagoon. Free canoes & pedaloes on main beach & cheaper than normal price sun beds for hotel guests, Oh & free soft drinks on beach & afternoon cake & biscuits delivered on the beach.
Worth the supplement for the bigger, better sea-view rooms. If you do it with First Choice they stock your minibar fridge & put in his'n'hers robes.
Shower gel & liquid soap in the bathrooms (I didn't use it, but hubby like it).
We nearly booked for next year but got the Aegean Dream for a great price. My sister says it will be strange not going there in 07. Her & her husband love it too, only time back to same place for her too.

| said: This is the 6th Visit I have made to Olu Deniz but the first visit I have made to this hotel. It has exceeded my expectations but did take me a few days to adjust to the different style of holiday, normally I go bed and breakfast.
A word of caution I will state however do not request a seaview room unless you are athletically fit as these rooms are situated out of the complex and slightly up the mountain at least a 15 minute walk. Although very beautiful it did not suit me as I am asthmatic so therefore they moved my partner and I to a room right next to the swimming pool which was a very good location. Needless to say the staff are extremely helpful where needed.
Although my holiday was better than expected the advertising in some areas are not quite accurate so I will clear that up here:
It is described that the hotel is sat on a sandy bay- Oludeniz beach is a shingle and pebble beach but special swimming rubber shoes can be bought for £8 if you aren't a strong swimmer beware because the current is strong and there is a shelf about 3 metres out which drops steeply. There is a shuttle bus that will take you from the hotel reception to Suara Beach free of charge which is 10mins away and is sandy this is situated on the lagoon but is not called the blue lagoon, the blue lagoon is shingle like Olu Deniz beach and is a national park so you have to pay an entrance fee. The Suara beach is on the other side of the lagoon and is free entrance it has a cafe toilets and showers and sunbeds parasols and pedaloes and canoes. 15 ytl for 1 hour on a Pedaloe which is about £4.80 GBP and the sunbeds are 5ytl each which is £2 GBP.
The next thing is the ''cuisine'' is the same buffet layout every night you have a choice of chicken, kofte and fish, pasta, rice, potatoes and chips, lasagne, salad vegetables, bread 'a' plenty some nights also there will be a gala night which have chefs chopping up and preparing your choice of salads, also some nights they do stir frys the queue took me a good 25mins but was well worth it.
There is also a selection of deserts including traditional Turkish baklava, pancakes, profiteroles, fruit and ice cream, the ice cream flavours are toffee, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry all served in a wafer cone so great dessert for the kids.
Breakfast consists of bread, croissants, pancakes, omlettes, fried egg or frankfurter sausages, also salad, cereal milk, orange squash, baked beans fried tomatoes, and scrambled egg.
Water jugs are available with your lunch and tea and the spread is similar for both.
The snacks are available in the olive garden from 11:30 onwards. from 11:30 till 12:00 there are toasties, burgers and chips and fruit. from 16:30 till 17:00 there are biscuits sweet and savoury and cakes. and from 17:30 till 18:00 burgers chips and toasties again.
Breakfast serves from 7:30-10:00 Lunch 13:00 till 14:30 and tea 19:30-22:00
Also during the evening Turkish pide will be seen being cooked from time to time in the old traditional Turkish kiln. Turkish pide is regularly mistaken for pies but it is actually pizza. it is a naan style bread with plain melted cheese on top or kebab style meat both very delicious and well worth trying. Popcorn and pancakes are also made on some evenings.
The bar is open from 10:00-00:00 and all local alcohol is available unfortunately the beer is not Turkish Efes but Danish Tuborg which comes from a beer tap and was nicknamed by alot of people as fizzy water. soft drinks and hot drinks except apple tea and Turkish coffee are plentiful.
The satellite TV mentioned in the hotel description is ok if you can speak and understand Turkish as there are only two English speaking channels: BBC Prime and BBC World. The music system described is one of the channels on the television which is a local radio station which plays a mixture of English and Turkish music. A safe is available in your room for £1 a day which is definitely worth having to keep money passports etc safe.
The activities are the same every day. During the day there is Darts, morning gym, water aerobics, table tennis, rifle shooting, water polo and beach volleyball.
At 21:00 every night for half an hour there is a mini disco for the children and it is a selection of 6 songs including agadoo, okey kokey and music man these are repeated every night either to make the DJ's life easy or to give the children a routine to learn.
After that there is a show the entertainers put on for you including one of their not so family friendly shows as there are usually light sexual references made in jokes, Karaoke, bingo and Professional Turkish dancers.
Then there is a normal disco.
The swimming pool is of a nice size and depth with two separate children's pools, one next to the normal pool, the other in the mini club. The sunbeds are the only problem, they are crammed together round the pool meaning you cant walk between them easily.
The fitness centre is below the reception area but the prices of spa treatments and hair cuts shaves etc are extremely overpriced a traditional Turkish shave is highly recommended but not in the hotel.
The Turkish bath mentioned included is not it will cost you £19 when it says Turkish bath is included it means you can sit in there and bath yourself free of charge and it is basically like a sauna.
The indoor pool is actually a cold plunge pool/jacuzzi for people to use after a Turkish bath. The gym is free but very basic. The people in this section of the hotel do not speak very good English.
Excursions are well worth doing there are boat trips Oludeniz boat trip is better than Fethiye, The traditional Turkish bath is well worth having and is £7.50 in other places but £19 in the hotel. There are the mud baths in Daylan temple ruins in Pammukale, the saklikent gorge, pony trekking, paragliding and scuba diving.
The paragliding and scuba diving are well worth doing but very expensive the cheapest price for scuba diving is £40, and paragliding is about £50-55 but some companies will charge as much as £70!
There are also the two markets Hisaronu which is on a Monday but not very big or very cheap or the Fethiye market which is on a Tuesday this one is the best as it is in a local town so cheaper and much bigger selling things such as apple tea, spices, clothes good fake brand names on belts bags hats purses wallets, bric a brac etc.
I have booked up to come back in October for another 2 weeks with this hotel as this is the best place in Olu deniz I have been that is value for money plus in October on the week starting the 23rd there are air shows where you get to watch stunt paragliders from the beach.
The people are very friendly and will do whatever they can for you.
The hotel also has a gold jewellers a silver jewellers a local shop selling drinks and snacks and a tattooist/body piercer.
You can buy the Sun out there for 4 YTL which is £1.60 and it is up to date as it is printed in Turkey.
If you are like me you will go there and fall in love with the place and find yourself going every year forever more or maybe look at properties like me to live there.
The rooms also have bah tubs which is rare for Olu Deniz hotels and their water is filtered which means it is safe to drink.

| said: I stayed all inclusive and this is the best holiday I have ever had.
The food was really good, pancakes and omelette's were cooked while you wait at breakfast time. There is also a large selection of fresh fruit and various breads. About 10.30 the ice cream started in the olive garden lovely walls ice cream in sugar cones I ate far too much. 11.30 till lunch time there were burgers, chips, fruit, toasties etc. Lunch in the restaurant was nice there was always something to eat and if you don't want to be adventurous there is always chips. There are a couple of water machines to fill your bottles up and there is a small bar at the back of the restaurant to get alcoholic drinks and fruit juice. Dinner/tea was pretty much the same but the food did vary on certain days they lit the bottle oven thing and they made pies they are lovely you can either have cheese or meat, highly recommended worth a try.
The hotel is really clean and you get the same cleaner everyday cleaning your room. We had clean towels everyday and the sheets were changed regularly.
The pool area is kept clean and the staff work very hard collecting the plastic cups. (Beware around the edge of the pool area is very slippy we met a couple with two boys and one of the boys slipped over and banged his head on the floor (really big painful looking bump).
The hotel is located within walking distance to the town of Olu Deniz and yes the shop keepers do try to get you in their shop/restaurant if you don't want to go in just smile and say no.
The beach has a lot of pebbles but the sea is lovely and would highly recommend the boat trips, we went on Volkan 3 and swimming in all parts of the sea even my 4 year old loved it.
The hotel staff were very friendly and couldn't seem to do enough for you we got talking to the entertainment team and had a laugh with them as we participated in a few shows.
The bar staff were also friendly and the more you got to know them the more alcohol they put in your drink, towards the end of the holiday i was drinking vodka and coke but had to ask where the coke was.
The entertainment was brilliant, you need to have a sense of humour as it is not Broadway but it's a laugh and hey thats part of the holiday.
Anyway hope to go back one day and i hope that everybody else who visits this hotel/area enjoys it as much as I did.

Arrived during the very early hours and found the reception staff to be freindly and made the booking in easy. Arrived at room and found to be very clean.
All area's of hotel inc room kept to a high standard of cleanliness throughout holiday, also the maid was very nice.
Hotel food at all times was excellent with a varied choice, allthough after 2 weeks it was starting to become repetitive.
Location at end of beach good. a perfect distance away from the shops. shingle beach very close.
The hotel gardens always looked fresh and in good order.
olive garden was good except it seemed to the area that the mossies liked to bite.
Most hotel staff very nice and efficient, pool bar staff not quite as friendly (due to it being a very thankless job I would imagine)
Entertainment okay most of the time and could be funny.
I found the holiday to be excellent and found only 1 thing that could be improved which was the lighting which we found to be inadequate as there are small steps that could not always be seen.
Tea/cofee facilities in the room would be good, allthough not a great problem as it was usually available.
I will probibly book again in 2006.

Hotel was so relaxing, no rush for sun beds, we went to breakfast at 9am and had no trouble getting 7 sunbeds anywhere we liked. Hardly ever had to wait for a table for 7 in restaurant, they came out and fetched us if it was busy.
Entertainment a bit patchy, but our girls liked it (14 and 15), I think the entertainment staff could have been the reason!
Food was excellent with loads of choice, never got bored, but have had to re enrol at slimming world (again!) The on site jeweller saw me quite a bit! I was made to sit with my back to the shop in the end(by my husband!) Shops nearby, went to market in Fethiye, really enjoyed that.
Our room was plenty big enough and kept very clean, no complaints at all. Can't wait for next year!

Your room is cleaned daily, and although not large has airconditioning, hairdryer, fridge etc. The food is good, plenty of fresh salad and fruit and a wide selection of lovely breads! Two of our party were vegetarian and had plenty of choice, although the menu was the same most nights and a bit repetative. This was the first time we had been all inclusive and would definatly recomend it, very good value. The location of the hotel is good, the beach is on the doorstep and 5 minutes stroll into the main resort. The staff work very hard, but it is noticable that the facilites are not adequate for the number of guests staying there. There are insufficient sunloungers by the pool, you really do have to get up early to book them. They are also placed so close together that you are touching your next door neighbour. The evening entertainment is poor, a half hour show each night. On two of the evenings there was a film show - but again not enough seats for all those who wished to see it. The childrens club is not good. Our son went one day and it involved having an owl drawn on his back in felt tip pen.

The hotel was great - very close to the beach (just a short walk out the rear gates from the complex and you were there!).
The accommodation was small but very clean and had everything you needed, including a fridge and a hairdryer.
We were about 200m from the bar and entertainment area, but could still hear the loud music well into the early hours - this was the only thing we didn't like about the hotel.
The food was lovely - lots of choice and fresh bread, salads, pastas and veg every day. I am a vegetarian and found plenty of choice. The free drinks were great, although the local wine and vodka too some getting used to!
We found the beach very nice although pebbly (take some aqua shoes). The sea was lovely. It was great to see the paragliders landing on the footpaths near the beach (only saw 1 land on the beach but that was in the evening).
I would recommend Quad Biking in Hisarano (sp) to anyone who fancies 4 - 5 hours of fun. It only cost £20 each (if you have a bike each - less if you share one). The experience was exhilarating and you were kept cool by the breeze whilst you were driving - which was very welcomed as it topped 47 degrees on one day whilst we were in Turkey.
The only other disappointment was Dalaman Airport - not a fun place to be stuck. It took us over an hour to queue up just to get inside! Take plenty of water and food as the prices are horrendous once you get in the departure lounge.

We were repeat visitors, having returned after a good holiday last year. We booked our flights and made our reservation directly with the hotel, having been quoted clearly in English pounds. We paid by credit card, and were horrified to find we had been overcharged on our return, by over £100.00
The exchange rate they used at the hotel bore no reflection to official bank rate of any country!
When we complained, their attitude was, we have got your money, bad luck.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, the resort cleaniness was very good and upkept well. The food was good, although not great in variety was of excellent quality - none of us suffered tummy upsets!
Two complaints - the sunbeds around the pool were too cramped - there was no space in between any of the beds, so if you value your personal space - forget it! Also, to get 3 sunbeds together my husband had to get up at 06:30 every morning (along with everybody else) to reserve them. If you left it until, say 07:30 you were out of luck!
Also, our room was very small - too small for 3 people. There were two single beds for me and my husband and my son had to sleep in a camp bed which had beed added into the room, which was not big enough to accommodate it. Therefore, we were constantly banging into the corners of beds and bruising ourselves!
The entertainment was OK - nothing spectacular but the team did their best with the facilities available. The location of the resort was great, just a short walk to the shops, bars, restaurants and about a 15 minute walk to the Blue Lagoon.
The beach however was not comfortable - very stoney and constantly bombarded by parasailors.
All in all however we had a great time and would most probably return in the future. Good value for money.

We paid for sunbeds on the beach outside the hotel and at the Beautiful blue Lagoon, the hotel does have a free bus to a very small beach at the far side of the lagoon were they have very limited free sunbeds, we went once.
There was also a problem with tables and chairs around the pool and bar in the evening, you found your self sitting miles away from any entertainment in the olive garden which was very boring.
If you are a couple going to this hotel and you are both physically fit ask for room K118 the sea and Lagoon views are amazing well worth the hike I promise.

We stayed on the last week of the hotels opening and the entertainment staff were exchausted from working a long summer but didn't show it, they were very good.
I would come back to this hotel again probably with my friends as it was very relaxing.

This hotel has everything that you need on your holiday the rooms are always kept very well, the maids do a brilliant job.
Food is great and there is a good range to chose from the chefs like to have a laugh with you and are very funny.
Entertainment is from morning to night, water polo/exercise/darts/disco/tennis/films and lots more.
The location is good you can't really get any better. Through the back gates, and the beach is there with lots of shops all along the front.
The staff are always very helpful and always well presented.
One couple in our party went to Cuba this year in May stayed at a Sandals resort and said that it was not as good this resort so that say enough really. We love it here and can not wait till next October.

| said: Like every time you first arrive at your hotel, the environment is strange, but at this resort everyone was so friendly and the surroundings where amazing! The rooms where cleaned daily by some lovely ladies who always had a smile on their faces and always greeted you with a good morning!
The food was good for the first couple of days but then we did get a bit tedius, There is plenty of local resturants you can visit at really low prices!
Hotel location was just right, the beach just situated at the front and the water is so clear and blue.
Well the entertainment crew made you laugh, sing and dance all the time, with plenty of games to take part in. The only thing i can really say is that some days the entertainment was abit slack, maybe because they were tired i dont know but maybe they should work on that. I would return to the hotel, with friends as i think it is ideal for 18-25.

Disappointed that neither ourselves nor our friends were allocated the double rooms that we had booked with First Choice. Spent the first day and a half getting the rooms sorthed out. Reception staff were not helpful on the first day of our arrival. Luckily different staff sorted the room out on the second day for us.
Restaurant staff were obiging and helpful at all times.
Food was excellent - best we've had anywhere. Lots of variety and choice, and all very well cooked. Well presented. Never run out of anything.
Bar staff were not particularly helpful and kept giving plastic glasses. Did not appreciate it when asked for them to be changed to glass.
Hotel cleanliness was good. Lovely grounds but rooms very basic. Fridge was ineffective and failed to keep the water cold.
Hotel location was good, right by the beach.
Needed to pay for beds and umberella daily but the charge was quite cheap. Hotel provided a drinks dispenser on the beach and also nibbles at 4p.m. daily.
Would return if returning to Turkey.

| said: In my view this hotel does not warrant a 4 star category. Although the staff are really helpful and friendly.
The location is in a good position of Olu Deniz resort.
The food is of a good quality (although lacks variety).
Other important facilities such as the swimming pool and evening seating area need serious and urgent review. To elaborate, you would expect a four star hotel to have an appropriate size pool and sun loungers to accommodate the guest. Not likely, the pool area was unbearable. Sardine city.......the pool was jam packed, and in the whole two weeks there we were unable to get sun loungers.
Again, in the evening the lack of tables and chairs meant we had no option but to go outside of the hotel for drinks and to ensure that we were able to sit down and relax with out autistic child. Certainly, not an appropriate hotel for children with special needs.
The room was unbearably small (there were 4 of us), with damp and smelly carpets. The style was extremely old fashioned.
The pool on the hill side was much more suitable, but had no facilities i.e. toilets or food. But much better than the main pool.
Value for money.........not in our case, for we had to resort to going outside the hotel in order to sit down and have a drink. Furthermore, the is a charge for fresh orange, which was seemed a cheek for an all inclusive hotel (so we had to pay towards my vodka and orange each time!!).
Would I recommend this hotel? Not as a four star, in my opinion it is more like a 2 - 3 star.
If you like sitting side by side with others on sun loungers, don't have toddlers to worry about (for there is no chance of getting a lounger by the pool), don't mind standing all evening for a drink, and aren't bothered by damp smelly carpet rooms, then go for it! But me, never again. Although, we did meet some lovely people whom we will remain friends with.

| said: The hotel and the grounds were pretty impressive. The rooms were set out in blocks and no block was over 3 floors high which made you feel you were part of a little village rather than a large hotel. The mature gardens were daily tended by a gardener. We were quite a long way away from reception, restaurant, and swimming pool but we never minded the walk!
The food, entertainment and overal cleanliness was second to none. The choice and presentation of the food was fantastic and we never tired of the all inclusive choice. Sunbeds were a problem once the schools broke-up. Most were gone by 7.30a.m! The beach was a stone's throw away although the sea might be dangerous for poor swimmers or children as the breakers were strong and it became deep quickly.

| said: The hotel is set in beautiful, mature gardens. There were lots of flowers, shrubs and fruit trees (peach, apple, lime and bananas) and the gardens are immaculate. The whole complex was very clean and the rooms are cleaned every day.
As others have said on this site, the food is wonderful. I'm a bit fussy, especially where meat is concerned but the choice was brilliant. There was always a good selection of fresh vegetables salad and fresh fruit at every meal. My daughter, who is 7 and a very picky eater was always able to find something that she liked in the restaurant. The snack are good too with a different selection at different times of the day. Every 2-3 days, in the restaurant, there was a chef cooking pasta. You choose what you wanted cooking from a very varied selection of meat vegetables and pastas and the chef would cook this thoroughly and add very tasty sauces, and when cooked added cheese and parsley. A super meal.
The hotel is right on the sea front and on the edge of the resort, so noise could not be heard from other bars, and is set against a mountain side. Makes a lovely change from tower blocks. Our room was on the ground floor and was quite cool, even without the air conditioning. It was a bit on the samll side, but adequate for the two of us. This was a twin, and I think that the double rooms a a bit bigger.
The hotel staff are very friendly and always give good service. There was a cheeky little monkey at the snack bar who ( I think his name is Orman), if you aksed for two chips, gave you just that - two chips - and watch out for the double icecream cone. The entertainment team worked very hard too, giving super shows and making sure that everyone was included. Nelly was great, and you must join her in water gym and Turkish lessons. The staff also love it if you try to speak a bit of Turkish, and politely help you out if it's not quite right.

| said: This was our first family holiday so didn't quite know what to expect. Chose to go with Thomson because of their reputation but there is no need to go with a large company as the resort is run by locals and your rep is only a point of contact. Everywhere is very clean, food is great unless you have fussy kids, they might get fed up with the same thing, but plenty of choice if you will try anything. Hotel staff are all really friendly and helpful, from the cleaners to the managers. Entertainment team are fantastic. They all work extremely hard and long hours and are very entertaining. They try to get to everyone not always remembering your name but then they do see a lot of guests over the whole season. We all enjoyed our holiday so much we will be going again next year!!!!

From the cleaning staff though to the managers the staff are really warm and friendly, and nothing seems to much for them to make your stay a great one.
The hotel is situated on the most photgraphed beach in Turkey and the sunset views are astounding.
The entertainment team work exceedingly hard and are really great.

There was food and drinks on all day. The pool was very small and you had to get up very early to get a sunbed. The pool is not big enough for the amount of people it holds. Sometimes I would go to the children's pool where it is was quiet and empty. The hotel staff were very friendly and so were the Entertainment staff. The sea was dangerous and deep. The shops are great and cheap and the Market on the tuesday. I am going back to Olu Deniz in August 2004 but I am staying in Sun City it looked nice Has anyone stayed there ?
