| said: We stayed on a self catering basis. The apartments where in a great location near the beach, town centre,bus service,mini train. They had a variety of different pools to choose from but the main one was across the road from the reception area and was very nice indeed. It seemed to cater for mostly Germans and we were the only ones checking into the apartment from our bus. The only issue I had was that when self catering you expect a kettle/toaster - we did not have this. Apartments reasonable size, with a good sized balcony, plenty clean towels supplied daily. The reception/bar area very modern. Entertainment for Germans/Dutch we did not go, they rehearsed during the day for the show that night.

| said: The apartment was booked idependantly through Cosmos and the flights separate. We were offered the option of upgrading to all inclusive when we arrived and as this has always worked well for us in the past with 3 kids we went for it. Big Mistake!
The food was terrible with very little choice, 1 or 2 dishes, on one occasion tinned ravioli. The kids wouldnt touch anything on a night and lived on chips, which I have to say is not like them at all they are pretty adventurous when it comes to eating out.
The hotel is geared towards the German client, we were 1 of only 2 british families staying there. I dont have a problem with it and we met some lovely people but we were getting some very funny looks at dinnertimes, like we werent meant to be there.
The entertainment is mostly German, but the team were smashing and I kept up the Great British pride by winning a beer downing session.
We did enjoy our stay but I wouldnt go back. Cala Dor is lovely, but i would stay somewhere else. The kids although they made friends did struggle with the language barrier.

| said: Bang in the Centre of Cala dor-10 out of 10 for location-near shops/pubs/retaurants/entertainment - yet not too noisy.
Cala Gran beach [large cove] gets a bit crowded.
Rooms nice and airy we overlooked the pool. Catered for Germans more than anybody else.
Staff friendly and helpful.
