We stayed in the Phasalis Princess in Tekirova,I think the driver got lost going to the hotel from the airport as it took three hours in a bus.The hotels grounds were beautiful and very well kept, the food was very good and plenty of it, the chefs and restuarant staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar boys were dedicated, friendly and helpful. The domestic ladies were always smiling and daily changed towels and presented them on your bed in the shapes of birds with colourful petals, the rooms were basic but clean. The hotel did serve bacardi which I was surprised at as it is usually their local brand or none at all, the all inclusive was for 12 hours rather than 24, the bars closed around 11 at night and there was a lack of entertainment, there was an American bar that stayed open till 2400, after that you had to go to bed as the gates were closed from the hotel onto the beach at night so you couldn't get out. There was security to the entrance of the hotel which led to the town . We never seen a holiday rep all the time we were there. The location of the Hotel was beautiful with a mountainous background, and a lovely sea view. The pools were lovely and clean, and sunbeds were available I suppose that was because it was a quieter time of year. The entrance to the hotel and the ground pools and restuarants were lovely and I would give them a 5 star the rooms very clean but more 3 star. The entertainment team tried there best to entertain but this was quite poor, we went to the amphi theatre within the grounds for an hour a night and that was all there was. The beach was ok there was a pizzeria, bar and burger stand which was very good as you didnt have to leave the beach and go back up to the dining room at lunch time. There was motor sports available, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the grounds and pools.

This is no five star hotel. The whole place is dirty and needs some TLC. The lobby toilets were never cleaned, our bathroom had mould growing all over the shower curtain, the bath plug was attached with string.
the food was tepid and if you arrived after the Russian invasion you were left with the pickings. The pool are was fine but the beach area was awful with large rocks impeding entry to the water. Be up early to bag your lounger (albeit not allowed)Towels are changed every three days. 3pm= ice cream time and 4m= Tea time!

Myself and my mum went on holiday as we needed a break from everyday life. We flew into Antalya airport and the transfer time was much longer than Thomas Cook had advised us. It took approx. 1hr and 45mins.

The private beach was clean but shingle made it unenjoyable and there were huge rocks in the water.

On arrival the bellboy waited around tapping his foot for a tip which we weren't too happy with as I believe it should be our choice whether to tip or not. Our room was certainly not 5 * quality. There were stains on the chairs and carpets and hair in the mini bar... this was obviously overlooked by the maids. The glasses in the bathroom looked like someone had spat toothpaste into them. The air conditioning didnt work properly and was really noisy. The beds were really uncomfortable and pillows were really flat. I have stayed in many 5* hotels and this certainly wasnt 5* standard.

The food was really strange. They definately cater for the Russians as there was options like peas, carrots and cauliflower for Breakfast!!!! Lunch and dinner was better but everything was very watery. Watch out for the Russians pushing in and being rude. They obviously dont understand what a queue is! They also are very greedy with fruit and leave little for other guests, but worst of all, they dont even finish it and waste most of it!!!

The staff were really nice though and nothing was too much trouble. The pool area was clean and there was never much of a queue at the bars. The maids did make an effort towards the end of the holiday with making animals out of our towels on our beds. There was much entertainment to be had watching the diving instructor Alex prancing round the pool.... nice eye candy for sure!!!

Entertainment in the day and evening was poor. There was little to do and the animation team had little on offer other than bingo, a few nights of karaoke and a kids club. If it rains dont expect any entertainment at all!!! Dont choose this resort if you are looking for a busy holiday!!! There is little outside the hotel other than a few shops. You have to get a bus to anything that resembles a nightlife. Watch out for expensive restaurants outside the hotel, especially in Kemer. (We paid £75 for a prawn salad!!!) They will try and con you into paying a lot after you have eaten the food so its too late to quabble the price and being two females on our own there, we didnt really want to argue.

The saturday market here is something your rep will tell you to go to, to pick up bargains but be careful, if you barter too much (as you are told to do), the market sellers are rude and abusive!!!

The weather was amazing but that fortuately was not controlled by the hotel lol.

I would definately go back to Turkey but not back to this area, or this hotel as it was certainly not worth the price we paid!!!

We were very disappointed with the hotel, it is advertised as 5* I would say 2* or maybe a 3* Very dated décor and the rooms were tiny, the bathroom had everything you needed but very cramped (if you step out the bath you put your foot in the toilet) Take a hairdryer, the one provided is rubbish. Two hard single beds with one sheet, It was also advertised that there was sky TV, well there was but only one British channel which is inaudible because of the static (not that this was a big problem) The pool was fantastic. Some guests might find the loud music around the pool a bit annoying. The beach was disappointing; I think it is made from builders gravel. The sea is lovely and clean, we swam in it everyday. The food is plentiful but the quality was poor and always cold, it caters more for the Eastern Europeans, the bread however was lovely, the wine and beer were also good. The staff made us feel quite unwelcome, like we were a bother to them. I read all the other reviews and promised myself I would not let the Eastern Europeanan tourist get to me……They did, the large majority of them were so rude and greedy. They would always take so much food at meal times with no intention of eating most of it. They treat everyone like rubbish not just the hotel staff, everyone, even there own families. I saw one very aggressive man even spit on his 4 year old daughter. Very sad. Some of them seem to be extremely volatile especially when they had been drinking. This said we did have a good holiday, but just because we made the best out of a bad job. If you value quality do not go to this hotel.

This is the second time we have visited this hotel and we will return again.
the all inclusive package is second to none and such good value for money. The mini-bar is stocked daily, drinks served until 2am, high quality icecreams, fruit smoothies all at no extra cost. The food is of a high quality and the service is excellent.Forgot to mention Turkish coffee, tea, liquors and fruit flavoured bongs served above the captains bar every night, along with candlelit tables, waterfalls and authentic Turkish music, again at no extra cost.
The hotel is spotless as is the pool area, beach. rooms and restraunts, with beautifully well kept gardens.
The food is excellent and plentiful. The ala, cart restraunts cost £3, the food is lovely and you are treated like royalty, you are served right near the sea, with candlelight and gorgeous views.
In a perfect location, Tekirova, is not a very busy resort. there are plenty of shops a market on Saturdays and a few bars and eateries. There is nightlife in Kemer about 8 miles away if you want it, however there is a fab disco at the hotel which my teenagers loved.
I could go on and on about the great staff, they really are a credit to the hotel and to Turkey.
There is plenty of entertainment to keep you busy all day and night long.

Yes, yes, yes, I would go back tomorrow if i could.
ps, Visit the hairdressers massage and beauty parlour, I had the most wonderful and thorough manicure and pedicure including a french polish for 40 ytl about £20.My son had his haircut, done expertly with a razor for £6 !

Fantastic hotel with a great choice of food. This was our first all inclusive so we were a bit vary about the food and drink in case we had to spend extra money eating elsewhere. We never stopped eating and there are so many different options to choose from each night.

The hotel rooms are slightly small but clean enough. The entertainment was fine at night and very lively during the day if you had the energy.

The only down side we found was the vast numbers of Russians. I can honestly say I have never met a ruder more obnoxious group of people. All the other English speaking guests we spoke to said the exact same thing. They were all having a great time, finding the food good but were amazed by the rudeness of the Russians. They would continually jump in front of you at any point and ignore queues. In the pool ojne group played volleyball with a proper ball smashing it everywhere and on one occasion their ball hit a small child and they all laughed. All the Russians had a really arrogant attitude to fellow guests (who they seemed to think were not as important as they were) and a disgusting attitude towards the staff who they treated like skivvies. They clicked their fingers at them and expected them to treat them like royalty. The staff invariably did which suggested the hotel might be Russian owned as they certainly seemed to get preferential treatment. The only fun side was their dress sense. Hawaiian shirts it seems are a fashion item in Russia along with Bermuda shorts, long white socks and white shoes.

Have just returned from a weeks holiday from here and it was amazing. The hotel is full of Russians who are quite rude, but the staff and food make up for it. We stayed in the apartments which are a 15min walk of a courtesy us away and only british tourists stay here. Not much nightlife around very quiet town, but would definately go back. Treated like a celebrity!

All inclusive is great value for money. Excellent, high quality food and drinks served in abundance throughout the day and evening. Mini bar stocked daily, all inc drinks server until 2pm on disco nights.

Exceptional cleanliness throughout the hotel, including the pool area, beach and extensive gardens.

Amazing food of high quality, beautifully presented, always hot and fresh.

Set in a quiet area with enough shops and a great market on a saturday to keep you busy.

Located directly on a private stretch of beach, this hotel is perfect for people who like everything to be easily accessible.

The hotel staff are eager to please, friendly and efficient. The Turkish people are wonderful!

There is plenty of entertainment to suit all tastes. It does however have an international flavour, so be prepared for anything.

One night there was a foam party on the beach!
Yes,yes, yes, yes, we are returning July 08.

This was our first time 5* all inclusive and the only complaint I could make to the rep was that I had no complaints! The food was great, weather hot, the staff were lovely, friendly and couldn't do enough to help. I agree with the previous report in that we too found the Russians surly and rude. Personally we had no problems but they treated the Turkish staff badly and rudely.
The hotel room was cleaned thoroughly every day, and the mini bar topped up.
We loved the nice touches of having champagne delivered to us by the staff at our sun beds in the afternoon. The kids - teenagers, loved the disco and the slides and the watersports and diving off the pier. We felt it was a very safe complex for the kids to be in and could therefore relax ourselves.
Of course there was the sunbed march in the morning with towels, seems unavoidable whereever one goes these days. Again, the Russians seemed to think they could just have sunbeds whenever they decided to take one away from anywhere!
The variety of food was amazing, fresh all the time, the omelettes in the morning were fab, the grilled meats delicious and the watermelon out of this world.
Drinks flowed and ice creams delivered in the afternoons followed by afternoon tea and cake.
It was hard but somebody had to do it!!
The private beach was locked up from us at night which was a bit of a disappontment to us but one could have walked out of the hotel and on to the public beach if one had really wanted to, but it would have been nice to have a stroll along the beach at night.
It was good that the armbands meant my 16 year old could not buy alcohol without me knowing about it, the staff being kind but strict about this.

All in all a fantastically relaxing HOT holiday which we all enjoyed for different reasons.
The airconditioning worked very well and what a blessing.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay in the Phaselis Princess Hotel in Tekirova. We found the hotel excellent and very clean.

We found the food varied and very tasty. Visit the seafood restaurant if you get the chance. You pay £3.00 each for the privilege but its well worth it with champagne on arrival, a 4 course meal and as much wine/spirits as you can drink.

The location is excellent, directly onto the beach with a beautiful backdrop of mountains.

We found the staff varied. On the whole they were friendly and polite but some of the bar staff tended to ignore you until you caught their attention.

The entertainment staff were very good. There was plenty going on around the pool in the day, and different shows in the amphitheatre at night, a good selection for everyone.

I would only visit this hotel again without my little boy and only as a couple as, although there was a kids club, unfortunately there were not many British holidaymakers in the hotel. The majority of holidaymakers were Russians, Ukranian or Turkish. Sadly we found the Russians arrogant and surly.

We found the hotel to be very clean, tidy and well looked after.

There was always a good selection of food available through out the day, watch out for the Russians.

We really liked the hotels location we enjoyed seeing the real Turkey and not just the English orientated parts.

The hotel staff were fantastic, they were so friendly, helpful, nothing was to much trouble, and they kept the place so clean, we made good friends with some of them.

The entertainment team were a great laugh, we had fun playing the pool games. There wasn't much entertainment at night but we were there just as the season was starting so there wasn't many in the hotel which is probably why it was limited.

Yes we are going back next year were going to try a bit later on in the season, ie. begining of August instead of the first two weeks in May.

Hotel... hm... is rather good, but still has lots of troubles!

Food is ok, but lunch is the worst one! Chips, burgers, spaghetti - Lots of it! Though it wasn't a big problem.

One of minuses is that about 90% of tourists in hotel are from Russia or Ukraine.

I didn't attended any entertainments.

In general still a pretty hotel

I like phaselis design...

Food is OK for such money, but lacks of fresh juices...and strawberries...

Hotel is exactly on the finest beach...with clean water with wish...

Entertainment is for people who do not like too much noise and energy...just an animation...

We stayed in the Princess Orange apartments, they were very clean and rooms were cleaned daily, fridge contained bottled water, sparkling water and fanta, we did not have a kettle which was a bit disappointing, but towels were supplied and extra towels for use at the pool.

Breakfast was omlette, boiled eggs, pancakes, cornflakes, cake meats pastries etc.

It was nice to see that the pool was tested twice a day every day.

Staff were great especially Akif, Okesh and Karen the rep was really friendly staff will do anything for you and nothing is too much trouble, lunch at the apartments was disappointing burger, pizza hot dogs and chips thats it .
apartments are in the middle of a residential area and it was great to see the real turkey.

Evening meals served at hotel and we got there early as Russians dominated the place and would grab every table if you did not get there first, and they push in the queues right in front of you so be assertive and don't let them do it to you. Food varied but quite oily, fish, chicken turkey.

Cocktails by the pools yummy. Great pools for the kids but the beach had a texture of cat litter very sharp on the old feet.

Saturday market great but barter like made, 15 minute walk to main hotel or 3 minutes by bus which is free.

Brilliant holiday will go back.

Stayed at the Orange Appts for the last 6 years.
This year wa very disappointed with the Hotel.
Food was Chicken,Turkey or Fish every night. (was told Russians can't eat Lamb as it is too rich for their stomachs). FULL of Russians, everything seems geared towards the Russians here this year. Very different from the other years so dissapointed don't know if we will return.
Staff at Appartments fantastic & make our holiday every year Rep Karen was fantastic best yet even arranged Quiz nights at the appts. Best thing is the appts are ALL ENGLISH, so no problems with the language with staff.

We stayed at the Orange apartments, the standard of cleanliness was high both here and in the main hotel complex.

Lunch and Dinner was excellent, breakfast at the apartments could of been more varied.

The apartment location was at the top end of the main road from the phasellis princess hotel, you could either get a bus or walk down, bus took 5 mins, walking took 10-15mins. We did think that maybe at busier times there would need to be more buses laid on.

Both apartment staff and hotel staff were probably the most friendly and helpful people we had ever met at an holiday destination, nothing seemed to be to much trouble.
Entertainment wasn't always good, even so neither was it bad all the time,We did think that in busier times there would probably be more laid on. Saying that the children did seem to be well catered for.

Our rep was the most disappointing part of our holiday, apart from seeming to just want to sell trips, we saw very little of her, and if we needed information, we sought it from hotel and apartment staff.

All in all we had an excellent holiday, will definitely be returning. Turkey is a beautiful country, steeped in history with the friendliest people you could hope to meet.

One thing to be aware of in Turkey, is although their currency is Turkish Lira, they much prefer you to pay in either Euro's, Sterling or even dollars!!

We stayed in Princess Orange Apartments, Which we were told upon booking that they were just off a larger complex.

When we got there we were in the middle of a residential area about half hour walk to the main larger complex. I wouldn't advise couples to stay in this apartment as it seemed to be mainly families who let their children run riot all around the complex on the marble flooring.

The only food you got were eggs, eggs, and more eggs for breakfast, lunch was basic hotdogs or pizza, dinner you had to go to the main hotel.

Upon returning from you meal and entertainment if you got back after 11 you couldn't even get a cup of tea or coffee as the machine was locked up and there was no kettle in the room.

One last detail we saw in the news that bird flu had been found in Turkey but nothing was said by the rep when we got there and as we arrived in the middle of the night was rudely awoken by several cockerels. when we walked to the main hotel we realised that we were in the middle of a residential area in which every garden had at least one cockerel and about 15 Hens.!

We stayed in the Orange apts, we found we were treated like children. One evening after getting the bus back from hotel at 9.0'clock [next bus wasn't till 11pm which was too late for us having young children] we were told we could only have 2 small drinks at 10.50 pm and were refused if we asked for more. All we wanted to do was sit with other holiday makers and have a quiet chat [it was quiet as the kids were in bed ] we still sat [without a drink till midnight ] when the waiters told us to be quiet we carried on talking, we were then approached by the manager who told us to shut up and go to bed. He went on to say the bar shuts at 11.00pm you should go to bed by 11.30pm when we tried to reply to his comments he became what can only be described as aggressive so much so my 10 year old daughter became very upset.......so no I and most guests who were there at the same time said we would never return.

Also when you pay all inclusive you expect more than what we got. Breakfast was eggs cornflakes or muesli. Snacks from 11am finished 4.45 pm so there was no food available to us after this time unless we went to hotel which was 30 min walk away in 40 degrees, or catch the bus which ran 5 times daily.

Ice creams were not available at the apartments we had to go to hotel where they were served once daily between 3 pm and 3.30 pm.

The beach was really gritty and the rocks in the sea made it impossible to walk into without falling.

Beds by the pool were impossible to get as they were always covered by towels even though no one seemed to be using them.

The children lived on chips for 2 weeks as they didn't cater for the children, even the adult got fed up with the same food day in and day out.

The noise at night from some holiday makers was terrible they stayed up all night. The food was disgusting.

I would never visit this apartment again. My kids enjoyed the entertainment. The bus to Princess Orange where we were staying was not regular enough. If you arrived back at the apartments after 10pm the staff would only give you 2 drinks even though it said it was open until 11pm.

This was our third stay at the hotel and thought that it had got better each time.

THE ROOMS: as we are a family of 4 we were put into a seperate block, not in the main hotel, which was better as they are only 2 stories high.

They are kept very clean and tidy on a daily basis. Soft drinks and water is replaced daily in fridge in room but only if bottles are almost empty. FOOD: Food is very good with chefs cooking fresh fried eggs, omlettes and pancakes in the morning plus normal breakfast food.

Lunch is best taken at the beach bar where you will be spoilt for choice with great pizza, pasta and other foods. Evening meals are also as goods with chefs b-b-q-ing and stir frying fresh food outside plus usual salad etc inside. I would say that most people would be very satisfied with the standard of food.

DRINKS: The drinks are very good with a pleasant choice of cocktails included, with a couple of interntioal brands. The bar staff are very pleasant and can't do enough for you. The ice-creams are only served between 15.00-15.30 but are of good quality.

The swimming pools are very clean and tidy and one has two slides, which are now open 11.00-12.30 and 14.00-15.30 every day. The daytime entertainment is very good if you want to take part, if not you are not hasseled.

The night time entertainment is very good, but as it's our third time we were dissapointed that it hadn't changed so we found that this was a slight negative point, but all other points of hotel over shadow this.

All in all yet again we had a great time, and were made to feel welcome and would reccommend to anybody thinking of going here. You will not be dissapointed.

We recently returned from a two week stay at the Phaselis Princess in wich we had a fantastic time.

The hotel is very clean and spacious.whilst during our stay we spent a day on a safari jeep tour of the mountains arranges by the rep,we highly recommend this trip and is not to be missed.

The hotel is idealy located and is perfect for beach lovers like myself. Some watersport are available free of charge and are very entertaining.

There is a kids club for younger children however there was no entertainment for teenagers under 16. Food was very good , but we did not take full advantage of the resteraunt at lunchtime as we always ate at the beach hut.

Staff are very helpful and friendly.daytime entertainment was exceptionally good. We hope to return next summer.

We have just recently returned home after a 2 week stay at the Phaselis Princess/Princess Orange and we wish we were back there now,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the pool was great, food was really good, entertainment through the day and night was very good especially the animation team could not fault them,Sinem,Neil,Hosan, imray,Morad,Dimitri and Ohmad they made our holiday very special and have become good friends of ours, we wouldn't think twice about going back, the only down side to our holiday was the breakfast at the Princess orange apartments as there wasn't much variety, the buses from the apartments could be more flexible however the staff at the apartments were very helpful and willing to help in anyway they could, the most disappointing thing was our so called rep, didnt really see her much but when we did her attitude stank and she was very unhelpful towards us.

This hotel was great!!!! It was cleaned everyday and the pools were great!!!!! The food was delicious at both hotels and catered for a wide variety!

The location of the hotel is good there are plenty of shops and a bus that runs between the hotels. The staff are very friendly and can be flirtacious in a friendly way they are also very helpful and have a positive attitude.

The entertainment during the day is good they do many water sports and dancing. the entertainment at night was also great the shows varied from dancing to singing. It really got you in a good mood! I would highly reccommend this hotel and we have booked to go agian this year with friends!

Had a fab holiday, especially because of the people we met. Children had a great time, the slides are a bonus and although only open twice a day, it is enough. Right on the beach and the water is beautiful. Rooms are cleaned daily and to a high standard. On the downside, the drinks were watered down and when you have paid a lot of money, this should not be the case. No named brands and ones available have been topped up with water. Beer a bit gassy and no MALILBU!! Entertainment very poor especially for children. More variety needed and especially the English reps could be more involved in the shows. All they want to do is sell trips - I wouldn't bother if I were you as you can sort that out yourself. Food is very good, lots of variety and something for everyone. Beach restaurant very good especially for kids. Do try all the speciality restaurants as you will be waited on and enjoy a lovely evening. Very hot!! Do slap the suncreen on. All in all one of our best holidays and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The staff are lovely. If you get friendly with the pool man, he will save you a sunbed every day! Don't forget to give him a million or two (lira!!) or feed him!! I don't think you will be disappointed although next time I would take some branded spirits to top up the drinks! Enjoy!

We stayed at the Orange Apartments. The staff were brilliant unfortunatley some of the other people staying there had little regard for others.

The food at the appartments is very limited. But it is alot more peaceful than at the main hotel - sometimes we had the pool to ourselves. Meals in the main hotel are good and everyone should find something to their taste. At seven it is very busy. I would suggest going a bit later, there is plenty of it and you won't miss out on a thing.

Sun beds - well there is a problem, you have to get up very early or tip the poolman in order to get a sunbed. Some sunbeds remained unoccupied all day but had towels on them! While we were there they did get a delivery of new ones but the problem did not seem to get any better. My son enjoyed the daytime activities organised by the hotel itself.

The evening adult entertainment is not very good but it has to be very difficult catering for such a wide range of nationalities and they do try. Any trips that you decide to go on are far better booked through the agent up the main street from the hotel. They were far better value for money and you got more time there. With Thomas Cook/JMC more time was spent picking people up from other resorts.

The Rep. Well that can I say. Ours was useless. Only interested in selling the trips. Any problems she was not interested in,infact the hotel staff were far more helpful. The area suited us down to the ground. There was a small selection of shops, restuarants and bars and a market very Saturday. We do not like to go somewhere too built up but it did take a while to get used to being approached in the street by the shopkeepers all the time.

The beach at the hotel was in our opinion not very good. It was very rocky and the beached shelved steeply and there are no romantic walks along it in the evening - its shut off. But the pools made up for it and alot of the time they were not very crowded. Except when the waterslides were open.

We have stayed at this hotel for the last three years.First year without kids and the last two with them. It is a superb family hotel and very welcoming. Food is superb and drinks are OK albeit a bit more variety would be good. The rooms are only 3 or 4 star but exceptionally clean. The only complaint would probably be the interest of the JMC reps who are about as much use as a chocolate teapot - just trying to flog trips! Don't bother with the first day meeting as everything can be figured out for yourself. We found it a great place for families and we're going again this summer!

we stayed at the princess orange apartments july 2003,on an all inc basis, apartments were clean but basic, the food was very poor with hardly any choice, only did basic breakfast and burgers or pizza in the afternoon no evening meals. the bus ran to the phaselis princess about every other hr,so you had to wait for the bus or walk and it was about 40 min walk in boiling hot sun, lastest afternoon bus back was 4.30 then next was 7.30 so we had to leave at 4.30 when we would have liked to have stayed another hour so you could use the facilities and eat at the main hotel which was supposed to be 5* i would give it between 3-4 too many rules and food that brilliant, food was only average to good.there were about 3 restaurants to choose from but 1 only allowed children on fridays it was mainly fish with 1 other restaurant open which was a fish restaurant. most of our party didnt eat fish so we complained but after arguing we eventually got some food, but this is ridiculous having 2 restaurants serving fish on fridays.

it has a pool with slides but these slides were restricted to one hr in the morning and 1 1/2 in afternoon again terrible as the kids were gutted, this was not mentioned in the brochure. ice creams were 3 -3.30 only, cakes 4-430 only, too many rules and regulations felt more like being at school.

i do not rate this a 5 * star, the town was ok just one small road of shops, didnt see any beaches except hotels beach was was again just ok, in general holiday was just average and i wouldnt recommend it. the weather was way too hot. the staff were average not as helpful or friendly as i have had before in turkey, the rep was useless she was seeing one of the waiters and was more concerned what he was up to than guests. entertainment was reasonably good.hotel was clean

This was supoosed to be a 5* hotel - i don't think so - had better food & entertainment at a 4* in Olu deniz (Hotel Olu Deniz resort). We did go later in year (by a couple of weeks) than usual - so eat may have been a factor in our general lack of enjoyment (compared to previous visits to Turkey). Hotel was clean (we stayed in main hotel) & though room was big enough for 3 (2 adults & 13yr old daughter) the bathroom was poky - marble floors & wet feet & poor manouverability don't mix well. definately not 5* accomodation - didn't see any of the (larger) rooms in annex (looked o'k from outside) or facilities in 'Orange apts' - except from outside - though they looked dire (from outside - definately not 4*). Hotel was rather isolated in that the local area was not very well developed (though it is being worked on I believe)& a lot of the adjoining beaches were 'private' & like our hotel had security - so couldn't move about much unless you went into the village - which was to be avoided unless you like being pestered to go into shops etc. A simple 'no thankyou' (even in Turkish) didn't help sometimes - which I have not experienced before in Turkey.

Food was boring - not much variety & few if any Turkish dishes - had 3 speciality restaurants (one 'free' visit per holiday - italian & Fish & turkish & a 'silver service' (couldn't access that as daughter too young) Fish restaurant was nice - though we didn't eat everything - after tasting (but others might like. Entertainment - piano & singer - good voice but not our type of music. Italian restaurant - it was my birthday & they put on extra's for us but got some surprises e.g. the 'steak' was more like sliced roast beef - still tasty though. Entertainment boring - was going to say unless you are old but i am in my 50's & some would say that was old. Turkish restaurant(& entertainment was good). For the unadventourous (or kids) there was a 'snack bar' serving the usual chips, burgers, pizza's etc (& siome 'Turkish' dishes (e.g. their version of Pizza) which also had a gril for fresh meat & fish (which was generally very nice). we tended to use this rather than the restaurant proper as the food there tended to be luke warm & with even less choice than the 'snack bar'

Staff friendly & those that couldn't speak english - got someone who could if we needed help. Generally though hotel was more geared to Russian & German & other European guests rather than British. No complaints about that but if they wish for british guests then they need to get more staff who can speak the language (first hotel I went too in Turkey - only 4* had staff who could speak English, Russian, German Italian & other European languages - *& it was much cheaper & nicer food)I am not critizing staff here - they did their best - but critizing mangement. However the then rep (a nice scottish bloke) could speak Turkish & did his best - very helpful & informative

daughter enjoyed entertainment (especially disco - which was in a sound proof basement)but generally -except for a couple of shows - we found it to be of poor quality - even compared to Lykia World (previous hol) which we thought was dire. However there were free bsnana boat & other rides from the beach at certain time each day - si daughter took advantage of that & enjoyed it. Otherwise u had to pay. Went on only two trip - boat ride to Islands - paid extra - enjoyed that & food was nicer than in hotel.

However although I said i wouldn't visit the hotel again this is because it didn't compare favourably with other visits especially given the * rating - if it had a 38 0r 3*+ then i would say yes good value for money. Also i think a big problem was the fact that the hotel hadn't geared itself up for visitors from England in relation to language problem only. Also there were some guests whom i think were russian (but can't be sure) who were very obnoxious - getting drunk every night etc. (Hotel security eventually did something. Finally my one complaint re; the 'International drinks' aspect of the 'all inclusive' - the white rum definately wasn;t Bacardi - even if it came out of a bacardi bottle (I was jealous of the drunks. I can't speak for the other 'international brands'

I went to the Phaselis Pincess on May 21st 2002. It is a five star hotel on the Turkish coast. The staff where very helpfull and kind & tried to speak as much English as possible. The rooms where plenty big enough but the air conditioning was noisy. The food was nice and there was plenty of it, you could eat all day! The drinks were ok apart from the water was warm at some bars. Durin the day time there was plenty of games by the pool or on the Beach. At night time there was a show in the open top theatre. There was a disco every other night that was on untill 2am.

VISITED HOTEL 16/7/02. STAFF FRIENDLY,BOOZE GOOD AND FOOD GOOD. ALTHOUGH THIS IS A 5 STAR ALL INCLUSIVE, THE ROOMS ARE NOT 5 STAR ACCOMODATION. CLEAN ENOUGH BUT SMALL. THE TIMES FOR MEALS ETC ARE VERY REGIMENTED AND ARE STRICTLY ADHERED TO, BUT OVERALL IT IS A CRACKING GOOD HOTEL.
