| said: This hotel is first class in every way, the wooden cushioned sunbeds at the pool are on wheels which always shows a place has finesse - the ones at the privado beach were plastic but still wheelable!!! Towels are free subject to a 15 euro returnable deposit.
Rooms are well equipped and although no A/C, there is a fan. Bathrobes and flip flops are supplied and a fridge on request. All rooms have a sea view - some are much bigger than mine was, so I gather, but it was very comfortable and had TV and a small balcony. Complimentary wine and fruit and bathroom toiletries were also laid on. Bathroom has a very good shower and full bath.
The half board option in fact meant you could have lunch OR dinner. I realised this a bit late which was a pity as I found the evening meal a bit boring and the atmosphere stiff, it is waiter service and a trifle stuffy!! As a previous reviewer says the courses are somewheat odd too, there are 4 most evenings and 5 on a Sunday!! Lunch is a wonderful, and I mean WONDERFUL buffet, hot roasts, steaks and fish cooked to order - and a cold table that had everything, prawns, smoked salmon, salads, vol au vents, smashing desserts etc etc... breakfast is similar, bucks fizz if you want it and loads of hot and cold dishes.
All in all Los Fariones is not to be faulted except perhaps the bar staff could do more in the way of smiling and looking cheery. Maybe it was my imagination but their faces seemed very long, especially after Spain went out of the World Cup...;)

| said: The hotel was very clean and remained this way as the staff are contstantly maintaining the high standard. The hotel is beautifully decorated. We had a slight problem with ants in our room but the staff came to spray them for us.
The food was always of a very high standard, but not always to everyones taste and was rather unusual some nights. Enough options were on offer to resolve this though.
The location couldn't be better. Everything is in walking distance, whether you was a fancy meal in the old town or a night out in the bars.
The staff were always there to help and if you're nice to them they will always return a smile. They bring you chocolates every night to your room!! One thing though when they do bring your chocolates, they knock but don't give you enough time to get dressed if you happen to have just got out the shower.
I got caught a few times. But this became a running joke while we were there.
Entertainment is quite dated and the singers were sometimes painful. But the quiz/bingo nights are brilliant and get everyone laughing.
I would definately return again.
