| said: This year was the Third time we stayed at this Hotel and it gets better and better, the Rooms/hotel and grounds are spotless clean. The AI package is excellent as the food choice can suit all, the variety and quality are bot excellent, they also have a seperate Chinese restaurant that you can book for a change, and no extra cost, and I must say it was delicous. The location of the hotel is fabulous, and the views are breath taking, if you fancy a short stroll in the evening the Mariner is beautiful and its only 10 minutes away. The hotel staff and cleaners etc, are very friendly and helpful. The entertainment was poor, but I quite enjoyed the peacefullness on the veranda in the evenings over looking the sea. I shall definately be visiting for a fourth time

All in all a fantastic hotel and cant wait to go back in june.

| said: We had a beautiful bungalow which overlooked the harbour, unfortunately it had it's own heating system as did all the other bungalows, these were not maintained properly.
The week we went two beautiful little children lost their lives to carbon monoxide poisoning. If you do stay at this hotel please take a carbon monoxide tester with you. The hotel were adamant that the deaths had nothing to do with them the next thing four people from the maintenance company and the Louis group were charged in connection to the deaths.
Please, please be safe where ever you go in any country take a carbon monoxide tester because you just do not know who's hands you are putting your families lives in.
We will never go on another package holiday again.

| said: Best thing about the hotel is its location which is perfect, set in beautiful surroundings and covering a vast expanse of land the hotel gives the feeling of space. Absolute superb backdrop of trees and mountains which take your breath away.
One word of warning, as the view is brilliant due to the trees etc the combination of trees and water inevitably leads to mosquito's and whilst we were there, there was an infestation so take plenty of repellent with you and use all night repellents in your room. Worst time for bites according to the staff were between 5-8pm however swellings may not be apparent until the next day. The local chemist was kept busy with his local potions which worked well and were far cheaper than attending the local doctor.
The hotel is kept spotless by a virtual army of cleaners who are very friendly and do not get in your way but at the same time ensure your room and the hotel and grounds are kept immaculate.
The staff are very friendly and very keen to assist where possible. The air conditioning failed in my room, I reported the fault and later the same day an emergency fan was placed in my room until the fault was rectified,(the next day). Not only good service but the reception staff asked me on two subsequent occasions whether the air conditioning was working.
We booked a "family room" for my wife and I and our seven year old son, the room was one room with three beds together with a bathroom. No interior door/curtain to separate us from our son so we had to go to bed when our son did. The room was not what I would call a family room however was bigger than the rooms which house two people which could not "swing a cat".
Bar staff were very efficient at all the bars as were the waiters who brought drinks to our table during the evening meal.
Food was what you would expect in an all inclusive package. Soups were very good (choice of two) three or four main courses fish, meat and a large salad bar. I was personally a little disappointed there were no barbecue nights or nights where chefs came out to cook in front of guests. As always food did become repetitive in the second week however I must stress food was well cooked.
Entertainment was appalling however no worse than other all inclusive holidays I have been on. By now I know what to expect a mini disco for the kids which was okay and thereafter either piped music (Al Martino "Spanish Eyes" Humperdink, Tony Bennett (catch my drift).
On odd evenings the Hotel hired in the Greek answer to Peters & Lee who sang an array of songs from "Living next door to Alice" to "Road To Hell"
There was at least 65% British guests in the hotel with a mix of French, German and Italian together with a few Dutch.
I would recommend hiring a speedboat for 60 Euro for a four hour period and you could then travel up the coast to Dassia, Ipsos and Barbati, the coastline is breathtaking and you certainly see more than you would on a bus.
You also have to pay for fuel and it cost us 30 Euro making a total cost of 90Euro for hire of the boat and fuel but this was for 4adults and 1 child. I later found out you could hire cheaper if you walked a very short distance to the local beach rather than use the site on the complex.
All in all a very nice complex however I would not return however I would certainly return to Corfu.

The building work is minimal and does not affect any qualities of this hotel.
The food at the hotel is great but after two weeks it became a bit repetative but on the whole there was enough choice for any picky eaters.
The hotel location is exceptional, the surrounding views overlooking the beach are certainly worth paying for. The hotel is in a vast expanse of gardens and you never feel crowded.
Outside the hotel are numerous tavernas and bars. Beginning of season these were very quiet.
The entertainment was dire, but to be honest we just visited for the mini disco for our 5 year old daughter who I must say was very entertained, throughout the day.
If you want a stressfree holiday with children over the age of 5 I would visit this hotel as there are lots of children of different nationalities but they all play together and give us parents the chance to recharge our batteries.

The hotel is set in the most fantastic location with amazing scenery you cant pay for. The hotel and its grounds and massive and you must explore it all as it has various hidden beaches where you can be by yourself.
It was worth going half board as the food was fantastic such a good varity and plenty of it!!
Hotel room was good and very clean. Cleaners where discete not like in some resorts.
Hotel Location was good and only 20 Minutes from Corfu Town which is very much like a cosmoploitan city.
Worth taking a 1 Euro local bus ride to. Late shopping there on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Hotel is 4 star but I rated it 3and a half but saying that when you see the other hotels you can see why it is rated 4 star.
Evening entertainment was terrible!

Hotel is in a good location however, due to the amount of land the hotel owns there area lot of steps down to the pool bar where the evening entertyainment takes place and not really suitable for the less mobile or prams steps galore!!!
Entertainment was poor no-one appeared to know what they were up to that turned out to be a laugh though. The kidzone reps are outstanding and deserve the credit. Just enough bars in gouvia not too mad but everything closes about 01.30am nightlife is low-key.
I would visit this hotel again but self-catering not half board. Had a good time overall.

The hotel location is fine but the steps within the hotel make it impossible when you have a pram and a little one to take care of. The reception staff were outstanding always willing to help and very aproachable.
The entertainment team were terrible. Thank goodness there were the kidzone reps there they were fantastic throughout our 10 days here.
I dont think we would visit this hotel again due to amount of steps around the hotel.

I would recommend the Dimitria bar!!!
The pools were in great condition and well maintained

| said: Review of the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel – Gouvia, Corfu
Having now been to several Louis hotels, I have written this review trying to be impartial and not comparing too much with the other hotels.
Pool area
Kept clean, plenty of sun beds which all functioned well. The main pool started at 1.4m depth but quickly increased to almost 3m, so be careful with children and if you’re a non-swimmer. All-inclusive drinks available at the pool bar.
Lagoon area
Beautiful area, opened at 10 (gate closed) and closed at 6, people queued to get in, not necessary as in the afternoon plenty of beds seemed to become free. All-inclusive drinks available over here. The pool over here was quite cold but remained no deeper than 1.4m throughout.
Beaches
Several small beaches with loads of sun beds, these have been paid for in the all-inclusive package for non-inclusive guests they were 4 euros each. There is a small beach bar between the sandy beach closest to the pool area and the furthest away beach all-inclusive drinks were also available here. This bar closed at 6pm.
Restaurant/food/pool restaurant
All the food that we had we enjoyed, as mentioned previously lots of choice and very fresh salads etc. Great pizza at lunchtime in the pool restaurant! Service polite friendly and mostly efficient, could sometimes sit with dirty plates from starters a little longer than I would have thought necessary in the restaurant in the evening. There wasn’t any show cooking which was a shame, we were looking forward to omelettes at breakfast, this wasn’t to be so.
Breakfast was served in the main restaurant 7.30 – 10am, lunch at the pool 12.30 – 3.30 and evening meal in the main restaurant 6.30 – 9.30.
I would have liked to be able to eat in the main restaurant at lunchtime but this is not an option. The only other dining available was outside by the pool (outdoor seated restaurant), I am petrified of wasps and these were gradually getting worse and worse as our stay went further and further into August.
Snacks were served by the pool these were hot and cold and available at all times from 10 – 12 other than meal times.
There aren’t any self serve drinks so kids and everyone had to queue at the bar (except during lunch and breakfast). Drinks were brought to tables at evening meals.
Bars
Tassos and Maria ran the Main bar in reception well in the evening, more or less any drink you wanted would be available on the all-inc packages using local brands to mix. The chairs in this area (and all other areas) were uncomfortable.
Beach bar- this guy had a steady number! But he was friendly and efficient providing it didn’t interfere with his fishing!
Pool bar ran efficiently the staff here definitely drew the short end of the straw, very busy they were not given a minute.
Lagoon bar again nice place efficiently run, not as busy as the pool bar.
Guest rooms
Despite making 3 requests 6 months before we arrived and then again a reminder sent again 2 weeks before arrival none of these were granted even though I was assured they would be. One of my requests was to be in the main or Nausicca building and NOT the bungalows, another was for 20 extra coat hangers another was that we would like a low floor.
As we arrived when it was dark we didn’t know where the porter was taking us. We walked and walked and walked and stumbled through uneven paths to room 320, a smelly dirty room with broken windows, patio doors which wouldn’t lock and basically would be something I would expect in Tenerife 2-3* self catering. We promptly phoned reception and spoke to the receptionist who passed us onto Paul the Thomson rep, they tried to fob us off saying nothing else was available. When we told them we had made requests and we were frequent travellers to Louis hotels and so far our impression of this particular accommodation and staff attitude left a lot to be desired in comparison, they asked us to wait 5 minutes, which we did. They then phoned back after checking computers to say that our room in the main building would be ready in the morning – we didn’t unpack as the insects and the damp smell would have made all my beautifully clean washing stink!
In the morning we were given a main building room overlooking a fantastic view (just above the patio by the main reception bar).
The room was much better, it felt safer and definitely smelled better. The towels were changed daily, beds were made daily and sheets changed about 4 times during our 14-night stay. The maid however didn’t clean the floor at all and had a habit of leaving the patio door unlocked, which our neighbours could reach without any risk to themselves, as the balconies were huge on the first floor. She also left open on one occasion the strange window from the bathroom that led into a void and had next doors bathroom (open) window facing. When this happened I went to reception to mention this and to tell them it mustn’t happen again as the security was appalling.
It seemed a lot of people we had spoken to had had complaints about the accommodation they were given and were either placated by being moved or taking all-inclusive as a sweetener.
While we were there 2 safes were ripped from the wall in the bungalow accommodation – this is true as the manager told us as our own safe had had an attempt made on it. We were lucky as we noticed and were able to move our belongings into the safe behind the main reception. Apparently it’s a man the police are looking for as he is going all over Corfu doing the same thing.
Setting/resort
This has to be the most picturesque place we have stayed, the hotel is in an excellent location. Although the resort is quite small, if you have teenagers with you I would imagine it would be quite safe. If you like to try different foods it is the place for you, if on self-catering, if you only like basic English food I would imagine you might struggle although more variety can be found in Dasia only 8 euros in a cab, or about 80cents on the local bus (not to be advised).
You can walk easily to the marina, through to kontakali, which is smaller than Gouvia.
We went to Corfu town on the local bus and back in a taxi (13euros in a cab), I personally didn’t like Corfu town it was very busy and didn’t seem at all relaxed for holidaymakers.
The hotel would not be suitable for anyone with even the slightest walking difficulty or anyone who isn’t fit enough for all the steps which you have to use to use the facilities of the hotel. They are slippery and could be quite dangerous.
Weather
We had beautiful weather whilst we were there. One morning while we were having our breakfast we had 30 minutes of torrential rain, the cloud then moved by 9.30 and the rest of the day was boiling, it was great fun watching it through the window.
Would we go again?
Although we enjoyed our holiday, I wouldn’t go to this hotel again although I would go to Corfu again.

| said: The accommodation here at Corcyra Beach was excellent. We stayed in a bungalow with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen and bathroom. The cleanliness was outstanding, maid service every day (clean sheets and towels) apart from Sunday when they obviously had a day off. The buffet style restaurant was excellent with plenty to choose from including a massive salad bar and hot buffet. My kids are picky eaters and they always had something that they liked. The hotel staff bent over backwards to help in anything you wanted. The entertainment at the pool bar was ok if you like that sort of thing (reps jumping around to music) ideal for kids. Thomson rep, Paul, was fantastic. Thomson trips worth every penny. Theo's boat bbq is a must!

| said: Arrived at 3am with a quick easy check-in and a porter took our bags to our sea view bungalow.
Villa was clean and spacious with a sliding partition between the 2 rooms. Bathroom basic but very clean. Old style furniture gave the room a slightly musty smell, Not much choice of satellite TV as the only English speaking channel available was BBC world. The in-room hairdryer was fixed into a drawer, which meant that you would have to rearrange the whole room for it to reach an electric socket! Room was cleaned daily with plenty of fresh towels and bedding.
The breakfasts were plentiful, loads of choice for both adults and children. The restaurant in the evening tended to get very busy if you wanted a table after 8pm. Meals were labelled, hot, fresh and very tasty. They also had a selection of children's food e.g. burgers, nuggets, fried.
Most staff seemed helpful and pleasant apart from one very rude bar manager at the main bar. He would ignore children or shout at them for taking a straw for their drinks.
We had a problem with our air conditioning one night, it was blowing hot air around. Within 10mins of contacting reception, a nice old maintenance guy came to the room and got it fixed.
Hotel location was OK, we tended to avoid the pool area as it was full of noisy teenagers all jumping in over other people. The beach, a minutes walk away, was clean, quieter and had a reasonably priced beach bar with friendly staff. Plenty of sunloungers available at the beach although you do have to pay for them.
Entertainment in the night consisted of the same mini-disco at 9pm followed by some songs etc from the entertainment team.
All in all, a clean hotel with great food, ideal for those who want to just chill out and do nothing much for 2 weeks.
Not for those seeking a lively time.

| said: We visited with our 14 year old son in the first week of the school holidays. We had a family room, 1 double bed and 2 singles (one a small single). We had e-mailed the hotel several weeks before to make sure we would have proper beds, not camp beds or similar as our son is over 6ft tall.
Our room was in the main building and although very clean needed a bit of updating. The views were fantastic.
We found all the staff really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The food was really good. All buffet style but we like that. We were all inclusive which worked out really well as our 14 year old could go off and do his own thing, although we did eat out a couple of times for a change, much to our sons disgust as he didn\'t want to leave the hotel.
We went on Thomsons sundowner cruise which we all enjoyed. It was a trip by boat from the hotels jetty to Corfu town. Time for a look around and a meal there and then back on the boat for a trip down the coast and then seeing the sunset over Mouse Island.
Another trip we went on was the Island tour. This was very informative and we had a good guide but not something we would do again. It was very hot and a very long day following other tour parties around the island. My husband began to feel very unwell with the heat as the air conditioning in the coach didn\'t seem able to cope with the temperatures. We arrived back about 7pm very glad to walk into our air conditioned room.
We went by taxi into Corfu town although you could get the bus. If you ask them the driver will pre-arrange a time to pick you up again which was good. We liked Corfu Town.
I\'ve given the entertainment a high score because of our son. He had the time of his life joining in all the daytime activities and hanging around with his friends and the entertainment team at night. He was on really good terms with the animation team and he made lots of new friends.
We probably would not have originally chosen this hotel if there had been just 2 of us and we would not have gone all inclusive but with children/teenagers it\'s ideal. Also we would most likely have gone about more. But if your children are happy so are you!
We had a relaxed holiday, always able to get a sunbed, the room was clean, the food was excellent, the staff pleasant and our son, in his own words had the best 10 days of his life. Can you ask for more?

| said: The hotel foyer is very welcoming and portrays a good image.
We were self catering and when shown to our accommodation, we were quite disappointed. We had assumed that we would be in one of the bungalows indicated in the Thomson brochure. We were somewhat surprised to find ourselves in a room in a converted farm, that is within the grounds of the hotel. The apartment was dark and very quiet. We probably wouldn't have chosen this accommodation had it been featured in the brochure, but we grew to like it very much. The aircon was excellent, assisted by the dark rooms (The weather was very hot). The quietness proved a problem. We slept passed 10am every morning!!
We ate at the hotel on two occasions. Excellent choice, quality and service.
The location of the hotel is a very strong point, being on a peninsula edge, with superb views.
The staff were excellent. I was injured whilst at the hotel (watch the steps down to the pool!)and needed medical assistance. A doctor was with me within 20mins and within two hours I had also received treatment at a local private clinic. Nothing serious! The hotel staff were very helpful.
So far so good.
The 'Entertainment'. The kids entertainment was fine and I know my son was more than happy. But, the 'entertainment' to use the term loosely, for the adults in the evening, was sad, very sad! The hotel had an entertainments team, who were mainly British, but included members from around Europe. There was one 'Greek' night, when an outside dance group came in (They weren't at all bad actually), but every other night consisted of the entertainment team 'miming' to musicals such as Cats and West Side Story. I have given two stars in my rating, one for the kids entertainment and one as a sympathy vote.
Joking aside, this is an excellent hotel with the food and location making it better than most. Unfortunately a lot more imagination is required in relation to the entertainment.

We were immediately booked in and taken to our studio apartment by a porter, the studio was immaculate with 2 rooms, kitchen and bathroom.
During our two week stay we spent most of the time by the Lagoon Pool, it was perfectly safe for kids and never over crowded, it was also close to the 5-a-side football pitch.
We ate in the hotel on two occasions and were very impressed with the variety and standard of the food. We tried to upgrade to all inclusive but unfortunately the requirement was 4 days minimum and we only had 3 days left.
We would recommend this hotel and would definitely visit again.

| said: The hotel is clean, well maintained and comprises hotel rooms and bungalows in the grounds, which could cause problems, depending on location of bungalow for persons with walking difficulties or prams/buggies etc as they are set on a sloping hillside-but what an outlook over the bay from the terraces of most.
There is a childrens pool and play area, a normal size swimming pool and at the front of the hotel the lagoon pool which is huge, but totally safe for kids.
Food was excellent with great selection of hot and cold buffets breakfast and evening meal. The location of the hotel in its own grounds means that it is unaffected by road noise.
The small, clean beach has sun beds etc, water sports area and a boat which does a variety of trips for reasonable prices.
Staff are friendly and accommodating from reception to maids.Animation team do their best for evening entertainmant, but visiting acts (6 in two weeks)were far better.
I would visit this hotel again as I believe that it has earned its standard.
Gouvia itself is a small village with a crowded main street, but plenty of bars/restaurants if you fancy a change, plenty of small shops and supermarkets.

The rooms and public areas were spotless. We found a very good selection of food from salads and hot food (which was different every day for the seven days we stayed)half board.
Low fat and dietary foods were also available. The waiters could not have been nicer to us explaining the different wines and Greek food which we wanted to taste.
The grounds are out of this world we could not believe that we had been so lucky, Although the hotel seemed to be full the swimming pools and sunbathing areas are so well positioned that there was never a crowd around you, there was any amount of privacy and quietness. Unfortunately for some people the grounds were a bit hilly with lots of steps.
Luggage was collected by the porter therefore there was no need to carry suitcases. Maids kepts the bedroom so clean but the air conditioning needs to be addressed.
Entertainment well the children there were enjoying themselves and parents seemed happy. We were quite content to socialise on the beautiful terrace with breathtaking views.
We would certainly visit this hotel again and take our family along.

| said: The hotel was always clean and the maids were superb.
The food was nice but grew boring after the first few days. Breakfast had no variation and lunch was almost identical everyday, tea time differed slightly.
The hotel location was very quiet and isolated, it was almost impossible to walk anywhere. Although it is sited almost on the sea's edge which was very nice.
The hotel staff were usually very freindly and helpful.
The entertainment was generally horrendous. It started every evening around 9.45 (Following the kids disco from 9 which played exactly the same music every night and became very boring) and was finished by 10.30. It was boring, childish and far from entertaining. The hotel had nothing other than this however so we were in bed every night by 11 latest as we were at a loss as to what to do with ourselves. At the beginning of our second week a storm began, and other than visiting the rest of the island we were again left with nothing to do.
The room was not on a floor that has recently been refurbished, the furniture was falling apart, tiles were broken and the air conditioning was non exsistent. Our balcony was to the back of the hotel so faced a wall of trees and was just above the kitchens, where the staff were very noisey every morning-I was pleased I had taken ear plugs.
Personal reasons meant we had to leave 3 days early and even though we were all inclusive the hotel still charged us just short of E200 cancellation fee!
The reps were fantastic especially the Thompson rep Alex.
On the whole I would not recommend this hotel or the resort.

| said: I loved the hotel especcially during the day at the pool. The animation team were friendly and enthusiastic, as were those working at the bar. The activities during the day were a laugh and they differed each day which meant they were not repetitive. The entertainment in the evening(the shows) were also great! We were in hysterics most nights.
The food was good and there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were very polite.
The hotel is situated at one end of Gouvia so it was a short walk to where some of the better bars were but Gouvia was a nice town to walk through so it was not a problem.
I thought the cleanliness of the hotel was good and the cleaners did a brilliant job each day with our room.

| said: We arrived at this hotel to find that our rooms would not be ready for another 3 hours and worse, despite booking adjoining twin rooms, were on separate floors - not acceptable when one room is for 2 children. Having spent half an hour arguing with a hotel manager who could not see this was a problem we were given rooms on the same floor. Naturally the Thomson rep was nowhere to be found when we needed help!
Having got to our rooms they were clean and tidy and had good views over the bay. The shower didn't work in one room but the hotel did act quickly to fix this.
The food was pretty good and the waiter service good. Drinks were extortionately priced and bar service is frightfully slow.
The grounds were pleasant and the location on the beach was good but watersports were outrageously expensive - 18 Euros per person (inc. children) per 10 minutes. A much better bet is a trip to Aqualand at 60 Euros for the whole family for the day. A taxi from the hotel costs just 12 Euros each way so making your own way is a much cheaper alternative to Thomson's overpriced trip. Thomson tell you that their trip means you don't have to queue to get in but Aqualand was so efficient there weren't any queues anyway. Be aware that any hotel activity costs extra and is fairly pricey - 13 Euros for the children to play one round of mini-golf on a very poor standard course.
The swimming facilities are good for adults but those with very young children may find them limited since the main pool is extremely deep (3 metres at one end) and even the lagoon area (just freeform pool no slides etc. which is open to the public so you don't have to stay at the Corcyra beach to use it) is mainly 1.4m deep though with a small shallow shelf. Parents may also want to know that the deep pool is right next to the evening entertainment area with no barriers etc. so again young children will need to be carefully watched.
The waiting staff were good and friendly but management were rude and unhelpful.
The entertainment was truly appalling. Each night the team did musical numbers (two nights were whole musicals) but unfortunately clearly none of them can sing so every track was lip synch'd. Only Serena and Mirko looked professional and were entertaining - the rest of the team seemed to be there under duress! In fairness games night was hilarious and the only good show of the week but the night of the Rocky Horror Show was a real low!
The childrens club was bad - certainly nothing for older children (approx 7 upwards will be bored) and only 2 hours per day. Thomson say the kids club runs 3 nights a week but this costs extra and surprise, surprise, isn't cheap for what you get.
A real disappointment was the standard of service we got from Thomson. Having had no help with checking-in problems and witnessing the coach rep being exceptionally rude to another family bluntly telling them on the coach that actually they weren't going to their choice of accommodation because Thomson had overbooked, we weren't optimistic by the time we found the elusive rep at hotel the next day. We hadn't received any details of the welcome meeting, which we consequently missed. When we found him he was extremely rude about us missing the welcome meeting, and unhelpful about my enquiry as to why the hotel was trying to charge us for meals although we'd paid Full Board. It transpired that Thomson had listed us to the hotel as B&B but I had to offer to get my invoice faxed out from the UK before he agreed to even phone his office to check that we had paid Full Board and sort the problem with the hotel. His attitude was clearly that he didn't believe that we'd paid and were obviously just trying for a free upgrade. Its disappointing to be treated like dirt when I thought we were paying customers!
I would recommend this hotel to couples, not families, but certainly advise you to choose a holiday company other than Thomson.

| said: I've been to this hotel 4 times and it is by far the best hotel i've stayed at.
The grounds are very large with bungalows spread all across them which can accomodate up to 5 people. There is also the hotel itself with rooms in at a cheaper price, an apartment block and 6 or so farmhouses which can sleep up to 6.
The hotel staff are superb and always ready to help. On our first year there we had some problems with the rooms but since then it has been superb and top class.
The food is varied everynight and serves all, with lots of salads and food from different countries.
The entertainment during the day cannot be faulted. The animators are always friendly and encourage people to join in. There are activities from 10 o clock until 5 with a break for lunch, there is a programme running on a day to day basis with things like volleyball, mini golf, waterpolo etc for 14 yrs upwards.
There are two mini clubs, Thomson and Jet Air. The Thomson club is mainly for English children and the Jet Air for children of other nationalities. The reps speak many languages so the children would always find someone to talk to.
The evening entertainment is different on a daily basis. There is a mini disco from 9 until 9:30 and then the evening shows start at 9:45, these vary from musicals to cabarets to games nights. All the animators put in 110% learning all the dance routines etc. They may not sing all the songs themselves but as they are all from different countries it is understandable that they mime, but they are all very good at what they do.
The hotel is like my second home and plan to go there again next year.
Outside the hotel there are many bars, restaurants and clubs so there is always something to do.

| said: The hotel is in very pretty grounds down a hill to the small beach. We had a studio family room which was in the hotel grounds, a single storey room in a block of about five. The room was fairly basic looking but spacious, clean and plenty of storage space. There was a fridge, toaster and two electric rings. Air conditioning worked well and the room was very quiet.
We only had breakfast at the hotel. This was very good with plenty of choice.
All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful.
We only went to the evening entertainment one night as it was so awful we could hardly keep our eyes open. We mainly went to the Lagoon pool so didn't see the day time entertainment.
The Lagoon complex is huge about the size of 3 or 4 big pools and kept our children happy for the week. As guests have the choice of the lagoon, pool and beach there is no sunbed problem.
The hotel is in an excellent location very short walk to all the Tavernas, shops and bars of Gouvia.
We would definitely consider staying here again.

| said: I stayed in the corcyra beach hotel in July for 1 week with my partner and found my stay most pleasant, the room was kept clean and the standard of the hotel was most certainly 4*. The views were wonderful and we even enjoyed the entertainment at the hotel. The breakfast was great but the dinner lacked variety i'm afraid. The lagoon however was gorgeous, a really attractive, fun pool with a lifeguard and snack bar, everything you would need. The staff were friendly and helpful and i would definately consider coming back here.

| said: When we drove up to this hotel i was very pleased as it was worth its cat A rating.
However, saying that what a disappointment the room was. It was out of the main building and stunk of damp including the sheets.
The redeeming feature was the view, the hotel overlooks the bay, which i found the next morning after a bad night, it was breathtaking and certainly calmed my down from demanding a room change. Saying that once aired it was kept immaculate by the cleaning staff and the beds were changed at least twice in one week.
Food, while not out of this world, plenty of it, lots of choice and very hot. Even replenshing the breakfast buffet and 9.55 (closes at 10). Staff very nice and friendly. We intend going back one day.

The entertainment was the best I'd ever seen and everyone is so friendly I met a lot of good people here.
The water on the beach could have been better though but the boat trips to the blue lagoon were amazing.

| said: We thought that the room we stayed in, which was supposed to sleep 5, did not have enough space. We thought that the room was also very shabby and could do with a good update.
We only stayed on a bed/breakfast basis - the breakfast buffet was quite good.
The hotel's location was excellent, but you did have to pay for sun loungers on their beach which we thought was a bit cheeky!
We found the pool too loud and noisy.
The nightly entertainment wasn't very good.
We definitely wouldn't visit this hotel again!

We had lots of fun here as a family. The entertainment was great and the animators were really freindly and there was lots of different activities for the whole family to join in with.
There was also a club for the children who also did lots of fun things.
The hotel food was great. They had a big variety of food and had a kids buffet. They also had a big range of puddings with ice cream for the kids.
The staff were extremely friendly and helped us get our bags to the room. I would recomend a sea view window on one of the top floors.
The maids visited daily and were ever efficiant.
The location is near lots of shop and resteraunts or pubs. There is many souvenier shops nearby.
The hotel have their own boat, and there are daily trips to many lovely places and the people are very friendly.

| said: Stayed at the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel for two weeks in July 2003. We stayed in a family room for 4 persons with a sea view which was very spacious and the views were absolutely breathtaking.
Food was very good.
Hotel is in a fabulous position with fantastic views and we wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel.
Gouvia itself is quite a small resort and was a little quiet.
Only complaint was the price of drinks. €2.10 for a small soft drink which can work out quite expensive when you have children.
Tip: Ask for a large soft drink and it will only cost €3.00.

| said: We had a frive bedded self catering bungalow to ourselves It was very clean well equiped and we had a patio with table and chairs with views towards to sea over the tops of other bungalows (we were only on the second terrace of bungalows away from the main hotel block).
The gardens were spacious and well kept The hotel was far enough from the road not to suffer traffic noise and at the bottom of the hotel drive you are straight onto the road running though Gouvia with shops resturants etc.
There are many good eating places as it was last year when we were there I can not remember the name of the taverna where we ate each evening but it was run by two brothers and each evening they danced for their guests including a fire dance.
The food was extremely good and the staff very accomodating and friendly.
We did not stay at the hotel at all in the evenings being on B/B were went out to eat so we did not experience either the prices for drinks or the entertainment so I have only chosen the 1star catagory for this as there is no option to say n/a.
During the days we walked quite a a few miles and I only went down around the pool/beach for a stroll and any eats or drinks we wanted during the day we had in our bungalow
A visit to Corfu town in the evening for 'plastic bashing' is recommended the atmosphere in town is wonderful and the sun set we viewed over the harbour area was quite spectacular.

| said: Our second time to this hotel and location. 10 Years ago, Corfu was superb, cheap to eat and drink, clean and good fun. Now we found our stay very expensive, for eating out, and drinks were disgustingly expensive.
The hotel is not so grand now. Clean and well staffed but it has lost its sparkle.
The food was just average. not so good as previous.
Our rep was not so friendly, once she realised we were not spending money on her little trips, she all but ignored us for 2 weeks.
Over all nice holiday, but would never return here. Also it RAINED and every one said it never rains in Corfu in Sept. Well it did!!!!
