We have just returned from a week at Hotel Pollensa Park and would definitely not return. This hotel mainly caters for retired people and if you did not fall into this age bracket then I am afraid you would be quite lost. The entertainment as far as I could see was very 'middle of the road' and the many elderly people there seemed to rnjoy it. TRhis included, bingo and tribute bands. I guess I just picked the wrong hotl as I reall did feel like a fish out of water. The residents were friendly enough but I spoke to one chap ar 63 years old and he siad he felt quite young there. I and my husband are in our forties and although we do not like to go 'clubbing' every night, we just felt that this was not the hotel for us. The food was OK, but the Mallorcan night was excellent. Thw staff are friendly and helpful. If you are young then do not go here.

we stayed half board and found there to be a good variety of food, but was some times a little lukewarm.the hotel is clean but the room we had was old looking, but had a great view out to sea we were on the 7th floor and some rooms have been updated.the pool is very good and there is a nice pool bar for snacks at lunchtime. hotel is 2min from lovely beach 11euros for two beds @shade.you will find lots of bars/retaurants and shops near to the hotel and even more up by the merina, takes about 2o to stroll along the beach front, also nice bar on the beach.we hand a great time and would go back but hope by then that all rooms will have been refitted when we do.

This was our first visit to the Pollensa Park Hotel. The hotel itself was nice and clean and the staff were all very nice and looked to be working hard, especially all of the waiting staff whether it be in the poolside bar or in the hotel resteraunt.

The first thing that's very evident about this hotel was that there were lots of older couples rather than families!

The resteraunt itself was fine, plenty of food but very repeptitive and no childrens choice which for most families is not very suitable. Breakfasts were better than evening meals.

Also note that men must wear long trousers and a t/shirt or shirt - no vests. We hadn't travelled with long trousers so had to go out and purchase a pair, not an easy task in a small resort like Puerto Pollensa.

The pool was big, but in high season when we travelled it was really difficult to get a sunbed and/or a sunshade. The beach though is at the bottom of the road if you are really stuck. The beach was lovely.

The hotel itself didn't have a lot to offer my 5 year old, only the pool and a playpark. The hotel run kids club was for older kids possible 7 or 8 plus. The mini disco at night always went down well and the evening entertainment although not fantastic was of a good standard for a holiday!

I liked the location of the hotel very close to the beach and close to some local shops with a short walk to the marina where there were loads of other eating places and some shops. About a 10 to 15 min walk, all on the flat though which is great.

All in all I would go back to this hotel but would choose to be just B&B.

Mom and I had a great week at Pollensa Park. Our room was clean and spacious, overlooking the pool area. There was a variety of food for breakfast and dinner and evening enterntainment was good. Hotel staff were great and made the stay enjoyable.

We were literally 2 minutes from the beach which was clean; no litter, dogs, etc.

Just a short walk past the marina you'll find lots of bar/restaurants. We had lunch a few times at the Miramar (lovely!)

We would definitely go again.

First time at this hotel staff all very helpful nothing too much trouble.

Really good variety of food plenty of choice ie salads fish meat pasta and lots of delicious sweets.

Two minutes walk from beach.good clean pool area entertainment every evening. Easy access to bus stop for Palma and Alcudia.

Would recommend this hotel but not a lot for children to do.

Great area for walking or cycling very flat.

Great hotel with a short walk to the beach and local shops.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble.

The rooms were cleaned every day and if there was anything extra that was needed then you only had to ask.

The food was buffet style and was always varied and well presented.

The entertainment was ok but nothing to write home about.

We will definately return to this hotel in the near future.

We booked this holiday just days before departure and were pleasantly surprised by what we found on arrival. From check-in to departure, we found all of the staff to be friendly, helpful and efficient. We had two rooms, one sleeping two, the other sleeping three both of the rooms had partial sea views and both were kept immaculately clean. The food in the hotel was very good, we found the choice and quality surpassed many of the 4* hotels we have stayed in in the past. The entertainment was varied and on the whole it was OK. The hotel was just a couple of minutes walk from a lovely clean beach and approx. 15 minutes walk into the resort centre. The local bus stop was less than 2 minutes away with a regular service to Alcudia and beyond. The only drawback for us was the weather; unfortunately we had a really cold and cloudy day which tempered what would have been the perfect last-minute break. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone thinking about a holiday in northern Mallorca.

Had a fantastic week at this hotel. Quick check-in, fab bedroom with sea view and air con. Large swimming pool which was a good temperature. Hotel very clean. Loads of things to do for adults & kids, good evening entertainment. Only thing that could of been better was the dining room - not big enough and tables too close together, food was ok with plenty of choice. Shops & bars near to hotel but it's about a 15 min walk to centre of resort. Only a 2 min walk to fab beach with sunbeds and clear, warm sea. We would go back to this hotel.

We have just returned from a 12 night stay at the Pollensa Park and we would definately recommend this hotel. We booked a family room to sleep 4. The room was very clean and comfortable with a balcony over looking the sea and mountains. The beds are laid out with 3 single beds all together in a row and a single bed to the side on it's own. The linen was changed every other day. There were ample clean towels in the bathroom and rather than change the towels daily they request that you leave dirty towels in the bath when you require clean one's. The main part of the hotel itself was always very clean and it catered very well for the large amount of guests. There are plenty of seating area's indoors for smoking and non smoking where you could just sit and relax and waiter service if you want it.

The pool is large and proved to be very popular along with the sunloungers set around it! Unfortunately as ever there are not enough sunloungers for the amount of hotel guests and to stop people reserving them at some ridiculous hour the doors to the pool area are kept locked until 9am by which time a large queue has built up. The cleaner left the door unlocked the one morning and people lay their towels out before 9am but the hotel staff went around and collected all the towels back up so they are strict about keeping it to 9am. There are some nice grassed area's which have sunloungers and these proved popular as they did tend to be a little more shaded and less cramped. There is a pool bar serving drinks all day long and snacks. We found the food and drinks to be reasonably priced and the waiters worked very hard and quickly to get you served.

We have stayed in a few hotels and I would say that the food in this hotel is the best we've had especially as it is only rated a 3*. The breakfast had a good choice of English or Continental, the only problem I had was with the milk for the cereal, I just couldn't take to it but many other's didn't have a problem. There was always plenty of choice for the evening meals and a nice choice of desserts and plenty of fresh fruit. There's waiter service at the table's if you wish to have a drink with your meal and the staff in the dining room always worked quickly to clear the plates away. They do have a dress code of an evening where men have to wear either long trousers or 3/4 but it's quite informal as some of the men wore 3/4 jogger's.

There is entertainment during the day for both the adults and kid's. There is a daily programme of what's on in the reception area of the hotel and they just make announcements through the day of when the activites are due to start. The entertainment team seem to work very hard and you don't get badgered into joining in with anything it's there if you want it. We enjoyed the entertainment of an evening which takes place outdoors around the pool area unless the weather's bad which we did experience the one evening so they lay it on indoors. There's a mini disco for the little one's each night and every other night before the main entertainment at 10.00pm, they played a quick game of bingo.

The hotel is ideally situated literally 2 minutes from the beautiful beach. There's an English bar right opposite the hotel which as many have said does have rather loud entertainment each evening but it does finish at midnight. There are 3 mini supermarkets also opposite the hotel but we did find the spar shop on the opposite end to the Palm's English bar to be the cheapest for certain things especially if you are buying bottles of water. If you cut through the grassed area to the left of the pool it brings you out right opposite the shop.

I would definately visit this hotel again. The only gripe we had was that the room we were allocated was right next to the lifts so we got constant noise from them day and night. It wasn't too bad in the day as we were hardly in our rooms but of an evening the constant noise went on into the early hours and then started again at around 6.30am. We booked this hotel direct so next time I would request a room away from the lifts.

The hotel is ideally situated for bus routes if you want to get out and about and the buses are more like coaches which are very reasonably priced.

The hotel proved popular with young families, couples, and families with older children so I would say it's a good all rounder. It seemed to cater well for the disabled or young families with pushchairs.

If you have booked this hotel or are considering booking it, I don't think you'll be dissappointed.

We have just spent a lovely week at Pollensa Park Hotel, the rooms were very spacious and very clean we had fantastic view of the mountains and the beach from our balcony.

The food was much better than what we expected although we did eat out twice, there was plenty of choice each morning and evening.

The staff were all very friendly considering the hours they put in. There was plenty of activities during the day starting at 11am until 5pm.

The evening entertainment was ok the Elvis act was our favourite, my 12 year old daughter loved the bingo that was on each night at 9.30 she was determined to win and on our last night did.

We would recommend this hotel to our friends and family and look forward too going back one day.

We have just returned from the Pollensa Park Hotel and I would recommend this hotel to families very much.

The room was large enough for four of us, having four beds, but still room to move around. We were on the ground floor which had nice views of the mountains.

However, we did not have a balcony or terrace which was not a problem for us but some people might prefer that they have one.

The dining room was large and we never had to queue at mealtimes. The food was very nice and there was lots of choice which was nice as we could try dishes we had not had before.

The staff worked very hard and cleared plates away quickly.
The entertainment was OK the staff again worked hard during the day and night and were very friendly.

I would visit this hotel again.

Visited this hotel with a disabled friend. Everywhere was easily accessable, with ramps and lifts to all floors. There is even a chair lift into the very large and clean pool so my friend could use the pool with ease. The hotel was spotless, linen was changed daily and all areas were kept clean by friendly staff. The food was well presented and varied, though the buffet style was not to all tastes. It does mean, however that you can taste dishes that you may normally have not tried. The staff are fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they were always available to help. The entertainment laid on varied. The acrobats and the Flaminco dancers were superb. The Elvis tribute and Robbie Williams Tribute seemed dodgy, but other guests appeared to enjoy.

As others had stated, decor a little dated, but spotlessly clean. Towels changed each day. Main drawback the nightly kiddies Disco, far too loud, drowned out the English channel T.V. in the Lounge.
Same music Night after Night. Pool Area clean with plenty of beds and umbrellas - Free. Main downfall of the Hotel, nnot really bothered that you have a 4.15 a.m. flight, had to give up room at 12 noon. No where to sit and relax, lights full on, not very sympathetic.
Bike hire available on site only 7 euros each for whole day. Also trips arranged through the Hotel, cheaper than the tour company. Overall good old fashioned Hotel

This is our third visit to this hotel. On this occasion we met up with friends whom we had met there on our first stay in 2000. It is an all British hotel and very friendly. The animation team run a good programme of activities throughout the day.

The best is the French Boules in the afternoon, it is a great way to meet new people and good fun. There is nightly entertainment to suit all tastes. If you go out there is a lively scene in the town which is suitable for all ages and not a purpose built resort.

The pool is huge and the view from our room overlooked it and the sea, lovely.

The hotel is kept clean and since our last stay in 2004 the bathroom and bedroom had been decorated and upgraded. This is a gradual process and there are still a few rooms that are still to be done.

The food is fine for a 3*, plenty of fresh fruit and choice of meals. The wine list is excellent.

The location is ideal. A 20min walk along the sea front to Puerto Pollensa, not a problem. Opposite the hotel there are good shops and bars. You can go and buy a chilled beer or wine from the shop fridge to sit and drink on your balcony before dinner if you like.

We were OK because we got a decent flight time to and from Gatwick.

An excellent value hotel which people return to time after time.

The hotel was immaculately clean, although we asked for two rooms together our room was on the first floor and the children were on the second but as they are 15 and 13 this was not a problem. The hotel was a bit like a stately home with antique furniture and pictures on every floor and with large sweeping staircases. Food was first class and the way the dining room was run was a work of art. Would definately go back to this hotel again.

We were very impressed with the general standard of this hotel.

This was our first visit to Majorca and friends recommeded this hotel.

The only downside of the hotel was the small room. We booked what we thought was a sleep 4 family room but it was infact a very small double room with two single beds squeezed into a limited space.

As we were staying for two weeks it was not at all comfortable for us. With a 10year old and a 7 year old we should have booked two rooms but we were told that we couldnt have adjoining rooms or any guarantee that the two rooms would be near each other.

The standard of food was impressive with a good selection every night. The evening entertainment was fine and we enjoyed sitting out in the evening to watch.

The kids disco was a bit to young for our two children.

Just returned from Pollensa Park Hotel (our 6th visit)and what a fantastic time we had. The hotel is very clean and well presented. The staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. The entertainment staff are excellent with the children (especially Cati). Varied activities during the day for adults and children alike.

The evening entertainment moves outside from midsummers day (21st june)and is much more enjoyable sitting outside. The evening entertainment is varied and of a fairly good standard.

This is a excellent hotel for families between mid June and mid Sept. If you want a quiet holiday I would recommend you come outside of these times.

The Pool has recently been refurbished and is well maintained.

The food is generally of a good standard, although the restaurant is a little dated and could be larger. The waiters are a little keen to remove your plates, although the plus side is you do not have dirty plates on the table when eating your next course.

All in all this is an excellent hotel, with friendly staff, We have already booked for next year 2006 and can't wait to return.

2nd time to pollensa park. Great hotel, great food - but still seems a bit too much like the works canteen (beware the plate snatchers). Can`t realy comment on the entertainment as we travelled early and it wasn`t realy up to speed yet.

Had a great time helped by the weather, peurto pollensa is a fantastic place. Go visit Pollenca old town and walk up to the Monastry takes you most of the day but the views are worth it. Do the bus trip to Formentor bit like the last bit of the Italian job.

If you go to this fantastic hotel get a poolside room as it can get a bit noisy at the rear lower rooms(but the views are better). Always say I will not go the same place twice but will definatly go here again - for the third time.

Tip -as with most Hotels the trips are well marked up - either get on the excelent local bus or book them locally as they are a lot cheaper.

My husband and I returned to Majorce for the sixth time in 6 years. This time however we had my mother with us on her first real trip abroad.

We stayed in the Pollensa Park Hotel(for the fourth time) and had one single and one twin room on the seventh floor. The hotel is very clean and the maids change towels every day.

We were not in rooms that have been refurbished bit they were still very comfortable. The location of the hotel is good although a little bit out of the town centre.

The food was simple and there was plenty of it. I have to say that we felt that it has improved over the past two years. We did not go out for dinner at all which is most unusual for us.

All of the staff are very good especially Domingo, Antonio, Tolo and Toni. The was entertainment most night with three professional shows. On Sunday there was a terrific a singer who performewd for over two hours. The Flamenco show was also very good. We were not impressed with the Elvis impersonator. The two girls who carried out the links and the entertainment on the other nights were good especially with the children.

On the whole this was a very enjoyable holiday and we will return at some point in the future.

I have very few good comments about this holiday, but then again most of that could be down to the weather - it was awful. I had no problems with the cleanliness I thought that the maids were brilliant and friendly they cleaned our room every day leaving clean towels and I'm sure they changed the bed sheets every day too.

As for the food, well I just say thank god for Burger King even though it was about a 20 minute walk away. It was awful, the same thing every day for breakfast. My mum and dad thought the food wasn't too bad but I hated it. I'd go to the food buffet thing get a plate and find myself with a plate of chips every night, because there was nothing else I liked and even the chips weren't nice. Pudding was worse, they all looked like slop, I found myself eating ice cream for my pud but then I saw someone scooping it out with a teaspoon and licking his spoon after every scoop and going back into another flavour with the same spoon.

The hotels location isn't too bad although it is a way off the shops, which I didn't mind when it was hot and sunny but we'd get to the other side of the town and it would chuck it down but I suppose you can't help the weather, but it made me a bit pig sick when I heard that the week before had been the hottest in October ever and the weather changed the day we got there!

It's nice and close to the beach but unfortunately we didn't get chance to sit on it.
There are plenty of cars hire places; we decided to hire a car to see the rest of the island as we got bored sat inside the hotel because of the rain.

We had 1 for 3 days the highlight of the holiday was when we drove down past Palma and came across Marine land which we went into while we were there and the dolphin show was amazing.

The hotels pool looked nice but I didn't go in it I never got the chance.
The staff were friendly but the entertainment wasn't up to much scratch at all. The entertainers were Spanish, which meant when they spoke English everyone had problems with understanding, so you can imagine what a quiz was like!

I thought the children in the hotel enjoyed the entertainment a lot more they got taught a Spanish song that they would sing and dance to at the mini disco. It was probably better for the elderly too as there was a tea dance.

I got there on a Wednesday early morning in the October school holiday, and there were lots of teenagers my age and I made a some friends. Although this was the case by the next Monday the hotel seemed more like a home for the elderly.

I was glad to leave the next night.
I would never return to this hotel ever again but i'd probably come back to Majorca again 1 day.

Hotel location is good, approx 15 minutes walk to the pedestrianised area of Puerto Pollensa. We liked the location and on the whole we liked the hotel. The food we had was hot, tasty and varied. The Reception staff are friendly and helpful but you could dehydrate whilst waiting for the waiters at the poolside bar to serve you! We had to serve ourselves. The hotel states in it's "Rules" that sunbeds cannot be "reserved"...what a joke...the same selfish Brits placed their towels on the same sunbeds day after day, whether they were in the hotel or not, and nothing was said or done about it...this needs rectifying as all guests pay for their holiday.

The problems we encountered were with badly behaved British children and teenagers, who constantly ran around the hotel, daytime and evening time with no regard or respect for other hotel guests. The parents, of course, were not bothered about their unruly offspring because they were not bothering them! We found it impossible to stay and watch the entertainment as the children running around, screaming and shouting was not our idea of fun!

The other problem we had was due to the fact that we arrived on a late flight and left on a late flight. The "courtesy room" which is not air conditioned, had to be pre-booked, the hotel would only allow 15 minutes per person, to shower, dress, make up, etc. I defy any lady to shower, make up, blow hair and dress in 15 minutes! Also, the hotel does not tell you until you go to take your shower that they do not provide towels once you have vacated your room....so be prepared...if you arrive on a late flight and you know you are leaving on a late flight you need to "obtain" towels or you will not have a towel for your shower before returning home!

I really dont know how anyone could complain about this hotel I thought everything about my weeks stay in this hotel great.

We took four teenage daughters and even they say how much of a good time they had we made lots of new friends weather was great too. Their was lots for us to do or we could laze by the pool and take advantage of the loverly majorcan weather.

The pool was great and the beach near by was also lovely. Entertainment of a night was good but their was also a good night life in the town.

I can honestly say this was the best hotel I have visited.

Very clean with friendly and efficient room maids. Staff on reception desk were good and most of the bar personnel too. But Oh for the waiters and waitresses in the canteen. (Couldn't call it a restuarant).
The food was not of a high standard and we ate out most nights even though we had paid to go half board. Breakifast was such that two of our party went without rather than eat it!
Entertainment was very loud but actually not too bad.
Would not wish to return until the restaurant improved.

the hotel itself wasn't too bad,a bit old fashioned, but clean. reception staff were very nice and extremely patient. the restaurant staff must have been on some sort of bonus, as to how quickly they could clear the tables, one took my plate while i still had my cutlery in my hands, i was left sitting there like someone out of Oliver Twist, waiting for 'more'.
the entertainment was ok for the first week but in the 2nd week it was inside every night, which was horrid as it was so humid inside.having said that, it was the only place i witnessed with any entertainment at all, so i shouldn't really complain.
From the 2nd week onwards it was beginning to resemble a home for elderly people, i knew then it was time to go!
the children enjoyed it and made loads of friends, i'm just glad it was a last minute deal as i would have been broken hearted to pay full price!!!!

Biggest Hotel In Purto pollenca domanates the landscape you can see it from Alcudia.
Room was very good but we had one of the referbished rooms so no complaints there.

Dining room was appalling bright white lights more like a works canteen!!
Entertainment 10 pm-12 midnight very loud OUTSIDE so no chance of getting any sleep before it finished if you wanted.
Staff always arguing between themselves, and snatch plates away soon as you finish eating.
Would never want to go back there again and would choose a smaller hotel.

I find it hard to say anything good about this hotel apart from the bedroom was clean. We had maid service everyday with towels changed daily. The maids were very friendly and obliging and so were the reception staff.

But apart from that I have nothing good to say the food was terrible especially breakfast, the waitress staff were very miserable and unfriendly they even took your plates away from infront of you before you had finished. The food was never hot only warm I am surprised we got away with out getting a spanish tummy but we did. As the food containers were emptying they would bring out a fresh one walk althrough the resturant with it uncovered and then tip what ever food was left in the existing container on top of the new one and mix it around.

On a Monday and Thursday evening then have a bar b que in the pool bar you have to book so they know how many are going. We booked for 8pm when we got to the pool bar there was not smell of food cooking at all, we were asked if we would like steak or fish as you could only have one or the other. We had steak but for the first course could have some salad which we did. There was a basket on the table with 2 rolls in but no butter so I asked the waitress politely for some and she said it is over there and pointed to a table so we had to get our own. When we had finished the salad course she came and took the dirty plates away but left the dirty cutlery as she said we had to use them again. When the steak arrived it was like a piece of leather which had obviously been cooked earlier and left in a container as it had gone all dry and stale looking, there was a small jacket potato wrapped in foil and a portion of boiled mixed vegetables which had lost there colour due to over cooking, when desert arrived it was a piece of cake with a scoop of ice cream and a plate with a banana, orange and a peach on it. You can tell how bad it was the lady on the next table to us took a photo of it she was so disgusted.

I can honestly say that we will never go to this hotel again and if I were you I would seriously consider another hotel.

Superb hotel. The staff were fantastic as was the entertainment. My room had a fantastic view and was cleaned every day. Great facilities for me and my child and about a one minute walk from the beach. Great view and a friendly atmosphere. I will book again for next year.

I feel that i have to write a report on this hotel as we all enjoyed our time there very much and will definantly be returning. We traveled with frinds that had all been there at least four years on the trot, and i can see why.The hotel and rooms were very clean and had not long been refurbished. As we had children with us the buffet style meals went down very well as it gave us alot of choice and the food was always of a high standard. The location of the hotel was great not right in the centre of town but in easy walking distance'the beach is just at the end of the road. All the staff were very frindly, and a special mention to olga who kept all the kids entertained in the kids club, and a big thank you for the kids leaving pressies!!although the entertainment was very good it all took place indoors, and our freinds said on previous years it had been outdoors which i feel would have been better but i do know that they were going outside the following week.We made alot of frinds some who already knew the rest of our party fron previous years a lovely frindly family feel to this place!!!!see you all soon.

I stayed in the pollensa park hotel in Majorca! I have been twice now and we are going back next year! Me and my friend Jo think that it is the best! The entertainment is brilliant all day and all night and the entertainment staff are such a laugh! They make you feel very welcome and make sure most people join in the all day’s fun and games! I think it is good because there is a wide variety of activities for all different age groups!

When I went the second time which was 2003 it was really good as there were loads of people my age so we had such a laugh! I think the TV lounge and the certificates are great ideas!

Me and my dad love the food! We just recently went on a cruise and it was way too fussy for us! We love the pollensa park for the fact that you can eat what you want, how much you want and when you want! It is just perfect the whole place.

Right near the beach, right near the shops oh yes as well there is phones boxes near by that are very cheap to use! I tell everyone to go to this hotel. So if you are thinking of going do it! I will be there summer 2005 so see you then! Carly xx

I have no idea how anyone could find anything to complain about when visiting at this hotel. I first came to the hotel at 8 years old, and loved it. The childrens clubs are busy all day and they are flexible enough for families to plan the holidays without having to stay in constantly. This is wonderful, because as fantastic as the hotel is, the area is even better boasting stunning beaches, gorgeous restaurants, and many interesting places to visit nearby. Since that holiday I have visited regularly, and am going again, for my 6th visit next Month.

There are many people from Britain who also go, and have been many times connoting the success and popularity of the place. As I got older, I loved the hotel just as much as I did as a child, but realised that although the area seems like a quiet family place, late at night there are certain clubs and bars that really appeal to teenagers, where the locals go to too, and here you can really enjoy yourself as a teenager while you experience the real spainsh culture too.

However these places although in walking distance, are far away enough to keep the hotel quiet and relaxing, and you would never guess how good the night life is around.

Decor is beautiful, especially since the whole place was refurbished in 2003, and rooms are always sparkly clean. Food is always delicious, and althoug it is in a buffet style, this only means that the selection is greater, and there is always something for everyone, whether thats traditional spanish dishes, fresh salads, fruit and vegentables, chips and other food for children, then soups, and roasts always piping hot. The breakfasts and deserts are just as tasty, and the queue for the restaurant really is just 5 minutes long at all times.

You are right next to the beach here, and many coaches and buses are also right next to the resort, offering cheap visits to extraordinary places.

The hotel has the most amazing staff, and I have always felt extremelt welcome, and they will always class you as one of their 'amigos'!The entertainers are lively, funny and always friendly, and in the evenings always organise good music and shows for people of all ages. The waiters are also accomodating, cheerful and chatty (although since my boyfriend is one of the waiters I may be slightly biased!)I am now 19 and still visiting the hotel every summer, and cannot say enough about it, you could njot wish to go to a better place...

I guarantee a trip to Pollensa Park will be your best holiday yet...visit and find out for yourself!!

We have just returned from a fortnight at the Pollensa park hotel and have to admit that we were a bit worried about the reports of the entertainment being aimed at older people as we took three children. In the jmc brochure it says ideal for families and advertises a childrens club we arrived to find qite a few children as it was halfterm in Scotland but no club. After complaining to our jmc rep (who was very rarely there when he was supposed to be, and was useless!) he said that jmc didn't even know that the club wasn't running and it would start again on the saturday. When it started it wasn't very well advertised and took several days for people to realise it was there but it was run by a very nice lady called Maria. There was also a mini disco in the evenings but when that had finished the children had to move out of the way for the ballroom dancing and bingo. Sometimes no one wanted to dance when the ballroom dancing started but they still instisted on playing the music for the whole hour!! At 10pm there was either a show or a disco the children enjoyed the magician, the flamenco dancers and a circus show but a couple of acts where a bit dodgy!! The entertainment was definately aimed at the older person. We knew floors 6,7& 8 had been refurbished so i asked for a high floor and got floor 5 !! but although they could do with decorating the rooms were nice and clean we had a lovely view of pollensa bay.
The food was nice although if your children only eat burgers and nuggets etc they will spend two weeks living on chips! There were some queues but they didn't last too long and we managed to avoid them. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the hotel was nice and clean with a nice large pool although it's very cold at this time of year !! The resort of Puerto pollensa is lovely with a lovely beach which is a very short walk from the hotel. Overall a nice hotel but it shouldn't be advertised as "ideal for families" younger kids are ok if the kids club is running but there is nothing for teenagers. We would go again but without the kids ( we should be so lucky !!!!!)

This was a last minute holiday, and we couldn't believe our luck! The hotel was good, the staff were good, the food was better than expected and the location couldnt have been better. I find it difficult to understand how people can complain about this hotel.

This would be one of the few hotels and resorts that we would definatley visit again.

we have just returned fron the above hotel end september and feel i have to comment. i cannot believe that people can find anything good to say about this hotel, from the first step inside the doors you knew what type of week we were going to have, drab interior, poor decor and general need of updating.
rooms were adaquate apart the the mould down our walls,no television,no hairdryer (or none to hire )
Meal times were an absolute joke, every morning every night 15 minute queues to get in the so called restaurant, food buffet style based on 2 food islands restaurant closing at 8.45pm but at 8.00pm staff are clearing the food from one island and putting it in the same trays as the other food on the other island including the meat (this seriously needs looking at at as the meat and other goods were always luke warm)the whole thing resembled a service station on the motorway.choice of desserts ranged from ice cream to ice cream (but a different flavour everynight)breakfast times the same luke warm food ,milk left in its original plastic container and tea you get for yourself from a kenco type machine.Entertainment if any was rubbish apart from 1 night but entertainment ranges from ballroom dancing to a pub quiz or big prize bingo ,so big if you win you can only spend the money in the hotel (on what ? )If you have already booked than eat out and don't risk food poisioning
apart from the big size pool this hotel should be avoided although the area is beautiful

Wefirst went to this hotel in September 1999 for my honeymoon. Admittedly there were a number of older couples but the Hotel is not exclusively for the over 60@s as some of the comments suggest. We returned in September 2000 and in both cases had a really good holiday. The rooms are comfortable and we had a good view overlooking the pool. The food was enjoyable although we did eat out on a couple of occasions. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Domingo the barman. We enjoyed the breaks so much that we are returning this September for another two weeks and are looking forward to it immensley.

We have just returned from a two week holiday at The Pollensa Park. It was very AVERAGE. There was absolutely no activities whatsoever for the children. Indeed the majority of the other gusets were oldsters and were irritated by the children running around. The food was your typical 3 star buffet. Same thing day in day out. The rooms are really basic but the cleaners are very thorough which is good. For those of you with families don't be seduced by the seemingly good value for money. Go to Puerto Pollensa - the best resort on Majorca but stay somewhere else!

My girlfriend & I stayed for 2 weeks at this hotel in March, when it's full of elderly people and cyclists, of which we are neither. The food really wasn't up to much, none of it is cooked in front of you and they seem to have a problem keeping it warm. However, the hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and the sea views from some of the rooms are beautiful. It's a 10 - 15 minute walk to the town centre, which can be a bit of a pain sometimes, but there are some local shops.. It's easy to see why the hotel is so popular, it seems to be the biggest in Puerto Pollensa, which is a fantastic destination for a holiday. Very clean and very friendly.
