Me and my friend went on August 14th 2008 arrived there and the entertainment that night was very lively and upbeat but we never spent any nights in the hotel. The food was standard but you spend some time waiting for it! The pool area was lovely although we only went in it twice because it was freezing! The staff were very helpful and polite. The only thing that I can say was bad with out hotel was the shower it overflowed if you left it runnin for more than 5 minutes so you had to keep turning it off! I really enjoyed my holiday in Lanzarote and I was so depressed wen I arrived home. I would deffinitly go back to the same place but pray that it has moved to the bottom of Cardiac Hill!!!

I really would not recommend this hotel.

The evening entertainment is appaling ... thankfully there are lots of bars and clubs within walking distance.

Most of the staff are rude and unhelpful. It is only the bar staff that seem to be able to understand English near-fluently.

The restaurant was terrible. We ordered a take away ... paid upfront and was told it would be ten minutes. Over half an hour later, we are still waiting and have trouble getting our money back!

Our apartment was behind a locked gate. In hindesight, this turned out to be a Godsend. But we were only given one key for it when we are a family of four including two adult children.

The reason why we were thankful for this gate? On the night of our arrival a fellow guest told us safes were being stolen from peoples' apartments. Neither First Choice nor the hotel told us anything about this. It continued for the whole two weeks that we there with nobody informing anyone of what was going on.

I do not recommend this hotel. Puerto del Carmen is a lovely resort. But Alantis/Los Lomas ... steer well clear!

Got back yesterday, god what a dive. we got room 410, pray you dont get it.

The wallpaper hung off the wall and where it didn't the border of the wallpaper didnt even fit the wall properly, it was dirty from where they hadnt finished painting properly at the botton of coving and doors was brown!! yes brown!!!, they didnt change the bedding once in the week we were there, the towels stank like they hadn't used detergent. We had no TV but every other room did. The cupboard doors didn't fit together and the patio doors were too low for the floor so it was scratched up really badly.

The evening entertainment in the week involved a crap party night for the kids where the barman dressed up in the worst clown outfit you'll ever see spent 5 minutes of his introduction to the kids shouting HELLO?? seriously HELLO? the other was a quiz night that lasted for 50 questions.

Lanzarote is great, lovely and hot, clean, no bugs so no bites and has great bars like sunset beach and the tavern, if your'e looking for nightclubs they have TITO's and 928 which i heard was pretty good

Would i go again? Sure!!!

Would i stay there....HELL NO!!

A final word...Cardiac hill, its a killer, im 24 and fit enough, the first few times are fine but if you have heart problems, or have respiratory problems try to avoid getting the hotels near there!!!!!!

We travelled on valentines day this year with my husband and 2 children, Arrived about 8pm at night, Excellent time only 10mins from airport, As soon as we arrived we was given 3 keys for 3 different apartments, We looked round all 3 rooms and chose the best view, With 2 pools, I thought this was excellent service. As soon as we walked in the fountains where on shinning over the two mains pools and looked amazing, The next day just got better, The weather was so hot nearly 100 degrees. But be carefull the sun is hot and can burn easily. Teh food was great, We dint try the entertaiment as we found REDZ Bars at the bottom of the hill was excellent foe family and even younger ones. For Great english grub, Try sunset beach Fantastic!!
We loved it that much we have decided to go back in may for my younger brothers 21st.

Just returned from these apartments. We booked two one bedroom and asked to be around the main pool. We were given the rooms we asked for. The rooms were basic but we had booked two star and I had stayed in worse three star's.
The Pool area was great with plenty of sun beds, but no sun shades which would have been nice. Main pool not open till 10am and sunbeds locked until then which was nice, no getting up early to get a bed.
The Staff were all friendly, and helpful. The cleaning was a let down, we only had maid service three days out of seven, towels changed twice, sheets not changed at all. Cleaning very very basic.
Entertainment, there was none at night, the evenings we went back to the bar for a drink we doubled the numbers. Day time entertainment was one guy on his ow, but he did make sure he gave the children something to join in.
Location was spot on, a short walk to old and new part, Yes the hill is steep but short, and we did not find it a problem and our ages ranged from 14 to 74 years.

Couple of great places to eat, best breakfast we found was in Bottles, say hi to Alex if you go in, and the Toby Jug did a great Sunday dinner.

Hotel is sited very well,in short distance of both new town and old town.Could do with more entertainment both in day and evening.Hotel staff polite and helpfull.Cesar resturant food is very nice for lunch times,as food is light which is what u want.Ate out most evenings as it is a lovely walk along the sea front.
Only draw back was the lack of first choice rep. There was none. She went back to England and no one else seemed to be interested almost a chore for them.On the whole yes would rec to people but it is basic.what u pay for is what u get.Lanzarote is great place if u never been before.

We had a lovely time in Puerto Del Carmen at the atlantis/las lomas apartments. The apartments were good, considering they r only 2 star.r apartment was right by the bar. At 1st we thought it would wake up r daughter but once ur in the bedroom u don't really hear much noise. The main swimming pool is good. That's where we spent alot of time as r daughter loved playing in the water. There was plenty of room by the pool and we always managed 2 get a sunbed. There is plenty of daytime entertainment 4 everyone but quite limited of an evening. We went out 2 eat most evenings. The food in most of the restaurants was very good, with lots of choices of different foods. Cardiac hill wasn't as bad as we'd heard. It's tiring at 1st but then u get used 2 it. Overall we had a lovely time and would recommend it 2 other people.

I recently came back with a group of friends from staying in the Atlantis/ Las lomas apartments in puerto del carmen, Lanzarote. After reading some reviews on the hotel i was worried about the standeard of the hotel but was pleasantly suprised. The rooms were basic, but clean enough , however some parts of the apartments we stayed could have been updated ( ie, the shower curtain was a bit grotty as were the curtains) and there was no cooker, just a microwave. Besides this, our stay was great!!
The hotel is situated at the top of "cardiac hill" which, on sight looks :( but its not too bad and to the right of the hotel, there is the option of stairs. The hotel location apart from this was great, literally, just down the hill is the main strips with loads of bars, restuarants andquite a few clubs , and so is ideal if a late night holiday atmosphere is what you wnat. Across from the strip is the beach was really nice, sunbeds were 8 euros for two, along with a parasol and pedalos were available for rental. Its a great place for a wind down and a relax...as were the four pools...two of which were fairly small but still a good addition to the hotel. However, the pools open at 10 and to get sunbeds its advisable to get them earlyish as although there was plenty of space round the pools, there were limited number of sunbeds. Overall, i found for the money, in peak season, our hotel was worth the money and i would go again.

Have just returned from the Atlantis Las Lomas and would definately return there again (never been known before!) This was just fantastic for kids I have 3 boys (13,10 and 6) who just had the time of their lives.

There are lots of pools and lots of kids to make friends with. The best this is Daniel, the childrens entertainer he is just fantastic and a really genuiely nice guy who takes the kids off your hands for a couple of hours.

The appartments are basic and clean (bathroom not brilliant in ours but ok) cleaned 6 days per week, towels every other day, linen once per week.

Lots of swimming pools, though not heated and not for the feint hearted!

Was worried about cardiac hill but not too bad and there are lots of other ways round. The beach is just at the bottom of the hill so its a perfect location. Turn left and you will be in the heart of things, bars restaurants etc, turn left and you arrive at the marina with just spectacular views.

We loved Pinnochios Restaurant on the front food good and made a big fuss of the kids. Worth getting a car to see the island as it is quite stunning.

We booked a short break at the last minute and had a fabulous time.

The hotel is only a 2 star and this is the right level for it.

The rooms are basic and i would not want to try to cook a meal in the room but you get what you pay for and it was fine for us.

The staff in the hotel are all English speakers and are fantastic!! From the receptionist to the barman to the cleaners and maintenance man, everyone is incredibly friendly and approachable.

Our room was at the back of the hotel so we did not get any late night noise etc.

The pools are great and there is none of the usual getting up at the crack of dawn to reserve your sunbed!!!

The maids called to us each day that we were there and although they are not fluent in English between us we knew enough of each others language to understand each other.

We had a fantastic time and would, without reservation, go there again.

I cannot say enough good things about this place, it was everything we expected!!!!

We went to these apartments with an open mind after reading the coments on this site. We stayed in studio 418 apartment, the decor was untastefully yellow walls, blue curtains one, side red the other with a blue and yellow border all around peeling off!

It was quite clean although I took my own anti bac wipes and wiped it over before un packing. We were at the very back of the complex and thought that it would be noisy but surprisingly it was quite quiet when the windows were closed. (the door and windows were PVC and looked new and were safe and secure.

The kitchen was equiped ok although we only used the cups and the glasses, we would have struggled to cook a decent meal on 2 hob rings and a toaster.
The tea towel wasn't changed all week.

The T.V had a few english channels and the picture was very good but when you switched it on the volume was on high and you had to quickly turn it down, there was no remote control but that was no problem.

The balcony was ok although nothing to see except other balconies!

The bathroom, oh the BATHROOM.......... very small, smelly, small shower tray, no shelf, water would run out on to the bathroom floor and you would have to use the towel to mop up and bearing in mind that towells are only changed once a week, the shower rail was held up by a chain so it wouldnt open fully, all the tiles in the shower were cracked or broken and the shower holder was set at one level, ok if you are 6 foot tall! I notice someone else on this site has mentioned about not having a shelf in the bathroom and that was in 2004, so the 'improve our standards questionnaires are a waste of time '.

The room was 'cleaned' once in 7 days the other 4 days just the bed was made.

The lighting was very dim, this was a nightmare to get ready to go out! We mentioned this to the rep and was told that hers is the same in her apartment? I suppose that makes it ok? It was very bright in the bathroom but it was two spotlights on the mirror and bear in mind the size of the bathroom!!!!!!!!

The pools looked clean altough we didn't use them. The fountain was not working.

We didn't use the restuarant or the bar/entertainment
so it would be unfair to comment.

Didn't really have much involvement with the staff except to check in and out, they were polite.

We were not expecting too much from this complex (it was not cheap £1000 for the 2 of us) as it is only 2 star we decided to put up with it as it was only a week, and we have put it down to experience, although there were 2 star apartments around us, which, on the outside looked much nicer, having said that some of the rooms at atlantis looked ok.

Did we enjoy our holiday? YES would we go to Atlantis Las Lomas again? NO

We stayed in these apartments in september 05 and it was a nightmare from the word go, as we got off the coach we thought these look nice, until we were giving our room no which was 610 right at the back of the complex.,

The front door was peeling with paint fair enough but when we got into the room is was a disgrace! All the light fitting were hanging loose, broken single bed, dining table leg was broken, shower head loose. Safety deposit box now that was a joke you could just pick it up and carry it with you!

We complained to the rep the next day and reported the faults which to be fair most were put right within a couple of hours, but we thought right we make the most of this holiday, until the water went off for 4 days as there was building work going on which was something else we were not told about,we got sick of complaining about the water that the rep said it will be fixed for definate tomorrow ( 6th day of our hols) but to no avail it was still off,so we marched down to reception and my hysband kicked off with rep telling her it was all a joke. She just laughed and said can you keep your voice down we have new guests coming in.Well thst set my husband right off, so the rep got a guy from the First Choice office in PDC and he moved us to a fantastic 4 star bungalows right on the beachfront,so it was worth the complaining, but sadly if you have booked your holiday to come to the Atlantis Las Lomas you will just have to make the most of it and hopefully it will have been seriously updated!

Would I go back to these no chance!.Puerto Del Carmen is a fantastic place and next time we come to Lanzarote it will be those bungalows.

The hotel was well located all be it on a steep incline well worth it for the views and tired the kids out ready for bed.

The on site restaurant was abysmal I'm sorry to say although the staff were nice enough.

we were promised maid service 5 days per week linen once a week, my maid visited 4 days out of that and I had linen left once I assumed for me to do my self, I stayed in a two bed-roomed with 4 kids so i was constantly bed making washing up sweeping floors and running for loo rolls as she never left enough!!!!

Daniel hotel all round entertainer what a great laugh he was the kids loved him and he was really genuine nice guy,

I'm already booked for 07 Cyprus but definitely the year after just to catch up with all the faces there were loads of repeat offenders (ie) return guests whom all loved the place its really good value and vast in size.

Just got back from the Atlantis in Lanzarote and it is a great place to stay stayed for two weeks and there is plenty to do.

There are some great trips to go on we went to the bottom of the ocean in a submarine and and a tour of the whole island, both tours were brilliant and value for money.

The rep Abs was very helpful as we the reception staff who spoke perfect English which was handy for me as I don't speak Spanish.

There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and so much to do, I would go back tomorrow if it was plausible.

The beach is literally down the road and the so called "cardiac hill" it take you barely 30 seconds to walk down and probably 1 minute to walk up, not a problem at all.

It was a fantastic holiday the rooms are great everything you could need is there, for the first time too when Ive been abroad the TV was free instead of coin operated. Didn't watch it much but there are English channels such as sky news, eurosport, true movies, channel 4, etc.

Anyway it was a great holiday can't recommend it highly enough and I will be visiting again within the next few years, from all the apartments I saw walking around it was the best by miles.

The pools are the best I've ever been in, there is activities going on all the time and there is some kind of show on in the bar every night. A great place, to anyone going there enjoy yourself!!

We have just returned from Las Lomas apartments. The rooms were clean & comfortable although basic.

Cooking utensils were minimal but adequate as we ate out. There was a kettle, electric hob, toaster & fridge. The pool area is very clean, the water was cold, so we didn't attempt to go in.

The staff speak very good english & were helpful & the holiday rep was very good. Fran, who works behind the bar, was excellent & very witty & friendly. The entertainment was more for the children, but even though there was only the 2 of us, it was still good.

The only drawback was "cardiac hill"! It is exactly that, very steep. There are steps further along though if you don't fancy the hike. We went on a jeep safari & that virtually took us right round the island.

All in all, we had a brilliant time & would definitely go back again.

On arrivel the pool area look good but when you got to your room they are very tatty they need a good overall in every area. Rooms not cleaned on a daily basis only one bed made on the days they cleaned. never cleaned floor. Bathroom room towels all had holes in and then only changed once.
We use the resturant on the last day for breakfast wish we had not all food cold or not cooked.

This is a lovely looking hotel at first glance, the pool areas are very attractive and well kept. But when you look closer at the apartments they are very tatty and in serious need of decoration, the ceiling actually flaked off onto us every time we had a shower. Although the cleaners supposedly clean the apatment 5 times a week ours was only cleaned twice, once because they missed us out and twice because they turned up really early while we were still eating breakfast and refused to come back later.

We only endured the hotel enternainment once during our stay and that was more than enough as it was truly appalling, the hotel bar area is tiny and the bar barely stocked at this time of year, I don't know if it is better in the summer(the barmaid didn't crack a smile all night).

Having said that this hotel is in a superb location just 2 minutes walk from the beach and seafront bars, restaurants and shops. It couldn't have been situated better for us and we didn't have any trouble walking up cardiac hill. We thought from reading previous reviews that it was going to be a really long trek but it's hardly any distance up the hill at all.

The other problem with this time of year is that the pools are all freezing! far to cold for any of us, the sea was definitely warmer.

This was our first holiday in Lanzarote and we were pleasantly surprised by our accommodation.

We had a 1 bedroom apartment to the right of reception which was next to the pool, great when you have teenagers.

The apartment was clean and had everything you could need, towels were changed everyday but the bed linen stayed on all week.

The pool was kept spotless as were the grounds and the staff were very friendly.

We didn't see much of the entertainment as there is so much to do outside the complex.

We had a one bedroomed apartment, which was very clean and was very comfortable, it overlooked the pool. The water in the pool was freezing, but very nice to cool down in as the weather was very hot. The only down side was the noise from the road, which backed onto the bedroom, very morning at 6am the binmen arrived and they are by know means quiet, and also the locals seem to think that it is a race track!!.

I would stay in these apartments again, but next time I would ask for an apartment which does not back onto the road. Do not be put off by Cardiac Hill, its not as bad as it seems.

When me and my partner arrived at this accommodation first impressions were good. The overall look of the apartments looked clean along with the pool area.

When we arrived at our room which was right at the back of the complex, had no view at the fornt or the back of the apartment.
The bed was broken the leg was hanging off not safe to sit on never mind sleep on.

The so called shower curtain was a bed cover, and the bathroom window would not shut, with people working at the hotel walking back and fore constantly.

The TV did not have any buttons on it so we could not turn it over or up or down !! Disgusted at the state of the room in all honestly. Just a joke, the brochure is totally misleading!

We arrived at the hotel not expecting the best accommodation however we were pleasantly surprised. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment as this was all that was available at booking; on check in we actually received 2 apartments with an interconnecting door. The rooms were ready for our check in of noon!!

The rooms are basic however very clean and comfortable. The apartments are in a great location situated 5 minute walk to the beach and the new town although Cardiac Hill certainly doesn’t let you do no exercise while on holiday and keeps you fit, and a 10 minute walk to the old Town.

The complex does have a pool side bar which offers lunch snacks at a very reasonable price. All the staff were friendly and they reception speak very good English.

Each evening in the bar area they had an entertainment programme. They also had a Childs entertainer each day which all the children seem to love.

What a Great Complex, everything was so well situated.

Our room was literally opposite the reception and was overlooking the main pool area which was ideal for our 2 year old, she loved it.

The food was ok, the usual bar food really.

The rooms although basic had everything in you needed, the rooms were cleaned everyday, clean towels every other day and the bedding was changed 3 times in our 2 week stay.

The entertainment we didn't really see much of it, to much to do outside the complex, although there did seem to be something on almost every night.

Don't let 'cardiac hill' put you off, we walked it at least 3 times a day with our daughter in her buggy and it was no problem.

Was slightly dubious when we saw previous reviews, however we were pleasently suprised. Apartments are in a great location quite clean, maybe a bit dusty though. Bedding and towels were very clean which is the most important.

We had a pool and seaview and yes the main pools are a bit noisy until at least 2 am but that never bothered us.

Didnt go to hotel bar or to any entertainment because their is too much to see and do all around. For nights out can recommend Ruta 66 a video pub in the new town and Titos fun pub at the bottom of cardiac hill.

To eat out Chiquitos Tex Mex is great they do 2 course specials for only 6 euros. all in all a great holiday would definatly stay there again!!!

We really enjoyed this hotel!

Coming from a hilly area meant that "cardiac hill" was no problem what-so-ever! You couldn't have picked a better location!!

The cleanliness wasn't so bad, it's just for 2 weeks of your life, after all!! The towels were worn and sometimes smelt musty, although they were clean ones! Most importantly the bedding was always clean and smelt fresh!!

The staff were really friendly, even the one's that don't speak English made an effort!

As my boys are older (16 &12) they went to the evening entertainment for an hour or so as we put our young daughter (2 yrs) to bed. This wasn't a problem as we were the closest apartment to the night bar and had a clear view of the boys at all times.... Not so good for our daughter!! Boys loved Daniel!

When we arrived in reception we were given a quick description of the direction we were to take to our room.

We had to travel up 4 flights of stairs with 4 cases and a buggy. Exhausting.

Upon arrival at the room we were pleasently suprised by having a pool right outside the apartment. Plenty of sunbeds!!!

The room was very basic but clean although we were appauled at the fact the me and my husband had to sleep on the couch and a pull out bed under the couch, practically sleeping on the floor. The kids had a bed each. The toilet smelt really bad, and upon reporting this, someone came to our room within ten minutes which impressed us and gave us bottles of bleach to get rid of the smell. Unfortunately this stayed all holiday but we just kept the bedroon window open.

The hotel staff were ok.

Entertainment every night ok but if you didnt get in there early enough you didnt get a seat. We went out every night.

I would visit this hotel again when the modernisations were done. We were in the older part of the complex still to be moderenised and it showed.

Also, infested with cockroaches. We slept with the lights on so that they wouldn't come out but we could here them clicking in the dark corners. Very unsettling.

Atlantis Las Lomas.

Arrived after lunch and our room was spacious and very clean we settled in really quickly.

The apartments were in a perfect location, dont be put off by Cardiac Hill we walked it at 6a.m every mornin with no problems.

The trip from reception to our room was longer!! Hotel and pool were spotless and really this should be a 4 star as we had no complaints at all!!

Well, I read the reviews on the Atlantis Las Lomas and was not expecting too much from the sound of some of them. I went with an open mind anyway as that's the type of people we are. We arrived around 9pm after the shortest transfer time ever and was pleasantly surprised, we couldn't believe what people had said about this place! It was fantastic!

We have stayed in 4 star before but we found this accommodation to be of a great standard and well cared for and a lot more nicer staff.

Cleaners came in 5 out of 7 days and were lovely.

Daniel the children's entertainer was hilarious round the pool. The pool was spotless and wasn't as cold as people had said, especially when you've been sunbathing all day, it's just what you need,

The accommodation was bang in the middle of the old town and the new town and down the hill was the beach, what more could you ask for, it was spot on!!

Cardiac hill was steep but something to laugh about when coming home from a night out. The new town was great for all of us, Titos was the kids favourite bar where the barmen danced on the stages and the kids picked up a few dances to Spanish songs, staff were very friendly!! lady Mucks drag show also in the new town was so funny, free to get in and made a great nigh out. Flanagan's drag bar in the old town is a must also as it was funny as well.

All in all, great weather with a lovely breeze, Atlantis was a nice place to be living in for 2 weeks, fantastic location, great bars shops and restaurants and night life, beach was very clean, fantastic holiday!!

Would book there again, we all loved it,

The location of the apartments were excellent and as others have said cardiac hill is not as bad as it sounds. I was dreading it!!

The apartments were really good as there were about 6 pools on the complex. Each block of apartments had its own swimming pool. However the cleanliness of the apartments left a lot to be desired. We had 5 girls in one apartment and by the end of the holiday the floor was just a mass of hair. We didn't even have a sweeping brush in the apartment to be able to clean it up ourselves, and i am sure our sheets were never changed while we were there.

The staff were good and the entertainment was ok but we never stayed too long in the bar as we all wanted to get into the town.

Overall it was a great holiday and i would stay at the apartments again, but i would have to buy a sweeping brush when i got there. Ha ha.

We booked on line to stay at these apartments and was very disappointed. We had a one bedroomed apartment and a two bedroomed apartment. Both in serious need of upgrading, redecorating and re furnishing. One had a pre-paid tv the other slot machine, very expensive. No toaster were working and the fridges no better. The cleaning needs serious attention as does the linen, towels etc. On the whole very basic.

The only good thing about this hotel was location. Everything very close by. Not impressed with first choice reps who was not very helpful and staff were even worse.

We stayed at the atlantis apts in may and thought they were brilliant, friendly atmosphere, great location apart from cardiac hill!!

The rooms were very spacious and very clean and we didnt see one cockroach, staff were very helpful and happy to help in anyway even the security guard didnt tell us off for being too noisy coming in at 4am!!

Would definitley go back to the Atlantis and our only regret is that there was no availability for when we go back to Lanzarote in September.

Highly recommend these apts and definitley Titos bar which is just down the hill!

We stayed at the Atlantis/Las Lomas in Puerto Del Carmen for a week from 14 - 21 April 2005. We arrived late in the evening at around 9pm. Upon arrival we were given a basic package of the Complex, including a map of Apartments.

We stayed at the back of the complex in a first floor 2 bedroom apartment, which was clean and had adequate kitchen utensils along with the 2-ring kitchen hob the apartment also, and a kettle and toaster at no extra cost. The apartment overlooked the back pool and although we couldn't see the beach we could see the sea from our apartment balcony, it was a nice spacious apartment with plenty of room to move around. The apartment was cleaned 5 out of the 7 days we were there. Although on arrival the complex shop was closed we were told of the nearest shop we could go to buy water to drink and obtain a few supplies, which was open until around 11pm.

If your apartment or room is situated at the back of the complex, please note there is no need to drag your suitcases up there stairs, upon entrance into the complex by the bottom pool there is a bar, if you walk around the outside of the bar you will find a footpath, if you follow this path around you will find a slope which will take you up to the other 2 levels of the complex.

The staff were all very friendly, when we arrived we had the door entrance light plus 2 lights were out in the bedrooms, within half an hour of reporting this the next morning, the lights were replaced. The fold away bed was missing two slats; again this was sorted with half an hour of reporting this. We also requested additional pillows and blankets; these arrived within our apartment on the same day - no extra charge.

The pools are cleaned everyday, but please note that the pools are not heated and the water can feel very cold, I would say the best time to use the pool is in the late afternoon after the sun has been on it all day, although it will still feel cold it will be warmer than first thing in the morning

There is an on-site restaurant in the Los Lomas part and we ate there once for breakfast, this was very clean and offered a buffet breakfast and you could have as much as you wanted the cost of which was quite reasonable, there was an adequate choice of breakfast items (toast, bread rolls, cereal, yoghurts, eggs, bacon and beans, there was also the option of tea, coffee and fruit juices.

We only attended one entertainment night at the complex, which was quite enjoyable, although there was some form of entertainment every night, details of which were clearly marked in the Complex entrance. There was also daytime entertainment for children.

If we had the option to visit and stay at this complex again we would, as we were very pleased with the overall service we received, and although the Complex is within 5 minutes walking distance from main beach front promenade of bars and restaurants it was very quiet the sounds do not travel up that far.

If you wish to go down to the beach promenade please note that we found an easier alternative to the nearest hill, which has been nicknamed by some as 'Cardiac Hill', this hill down is not as steep. If you wish to use this alternative, You will need to bear left upon leaving the complex and at the end of the road turn right as if you are going to go down 'Cardiac Hill', if you look across the road you will see a left turn off 'Cardiac Hill' if you follow road around it leads back down to the promenade at a less steep incline, please note that if you are also staying self-catering there are 2 'Spars' along this stretch also which are open until 8pm.

We Stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment and our friends in a one bedroomed apartment.

The complex is on a hillside, which is not too bad for fairly fit people but those who do not walk too much might find it hard going.

The apartments nearest the main pool are very noisy, if people don't keep you awake coming home until dawn then the bin wagon will get you at 4am. Lots of people moved apartments due to noise.

The apartments are baically clean but do need some serious tender loving care as they have not been upgraded for some time. The staff are very helpful, and any repairs are sorted out quickly.

This is the third time i have stayed at these apartments. Once in a studio apartment and the second two times in the same apartment around the pool. I found both places were clean and if we did have a problem - one day a light bulb went it was fixed in about 15 minutes. We went to ceasars-the restaurant on the complex for a bbq which was ok and quite good value for money. The food in the pool bar was also ok. The entertainment was fantastic and all the staff are very welcoming and easy to get on with. A first class complex which i will be returning to again and again!

This was the second time this year we have stayed at Atlantis las Lomas. The apartments are basic but quite clean. When we stayed in may we had a nice apartment overlooking the pool but this time we had an apartment right at the back overlooking a brick wall, with a terrace that didn't get any sun all day. That was the only thing that we didn't like about this holiday.

The apartments are ideally located and only a few minutes walk to everything you need. We have been to Pto.Del Carmen at least 10 times now and we love the place, we would certainly stay at Atlantis las lomas again.

Hello to Julie in the Galleon, where they do the best breakfasts in town.

(Atlantis/Las Lomas apartments) All I can say about the resort is brilliant!! I had the best time of my life.

The pools are amazing day and at night when lit up and fountains working.

I stayed in a studio and think they are just the right size for a couple and the cleanliness is very good.

Never really ate at the hotel, there is to many places to go outside for food (the Toby jug) it’s a nice place for breakfast.

The entertainment during the day was great, volleyball, water polo, football it’s like being a kid all over again. Daniel is very funny and good at his job whatsup! If you have been you will understand that bit.

The night entertainment is also just as good Max and Chris a very good DJ's and make you have a laugh. I would recommend the parrot show, got a great picture holding the birds and there really clever. Also the beer is really cheap and Damien and Fran are the best bar people in the world there funny and nice.

Well I just can’t say enough about the place it’s great for all the family, I can only dream to afford to go again.

Thank you so much to all the staff and Going Places it was fun!!!!!

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment it was basic, but adequate. We had maid service every other day and had fresh towels, the bed sheets were only changed twice in the two weeks that we stayed there.

Only saw 1 cockroach, in the whole 2 weeks.

The complex bar and entertainment was very good only 2 euro a pint. The reception is open 24hrs which is handy.

There are loads of swimming pools on the complex which are cleaned daily.

The only downfall was cardiac hill, it's alright going down it's coming back up, you won’t believe it unless you see it.

All in all we had a very nice holiday, and would definitely go back.

My boyfriend and I were quite dubious about these apartments after we had read some of the comments made previously. Well when we arrived we were pleasantly suprised.

We had booked a 1 bedroom apartment and ours was overlooking the main pool, Although a first thought that it would be quite noisy it wasn't. The apartment itself was what I had expected, kept clean and quite basic, the bedroom consisted of the single beds (camp beds) but after a couple of nights and a few bacardis these were fine. The bathroom was spacious and the shower although looked pathetic was actually quite powerful. The living area was really nice and the kitchen was ok.

After reading previuos reports I was expecting to see loads of cockroaches and prepared to bitten. I dodn't see one cockroach and was not bitten at all -which is a first for me.

Overall I thought that the Atlantis apartments were great value for money and we would definitely return there.

We booked our holiday 4 months prior to departure date with First Choice. When we placed our booking we asked for top floor with pool view.

Opened the door to our studio apartment which was right at the back of the complex (be warned, if you book a studio, you will be literally right at the back with no pool view and if you are very unlucky, have a view of a dirty back entry, with bins getting emptied 6am most mornings and dogs barking all the time). We had a general visual idea of what we were to expect (from those lovely pics that you see in the brochures...), but when we opened the door to our studio apartment we were 'bitterly' dissapointed and disgusted. We were in studio 408 (top floor) and the decor was absolutely apalling.

1. There was 2 different shades of sunny yellow painted on the walls along with dozens of scuff/dirty marks all over the place.

2. The view from our back window (by beds) was of a dirty back entry with a delapidated building as a view. If we looked immediately downwards, there were about 3 broken fridges and a load of rubbish.

3. Everytime we got a shower (which couldn't decide whether to omit hot or cold water) it flooded the bathroom (which you couldn't swing a cat around), which continued to flood into the bedroom area. This was mainly due to the fact that the shower curtain was not long enough and the shower tray was too small. We both only had 2 showers the whole week because of it. The general maintenance of the bathroom was awful. Nowhere whatsoever to place your cosmetics - no shelves etc. So this meant putting it on the floor which doesn't help when your bathroom is flooded by the shower. The smell was DISGUSTING (sewage)and we had to endure that everytime we needed to brush our teeth (which wasn't pleasant either as the water was an unsightly yellow).

4. We expected a double bed and got 2 single, camp beds in which one was higher than the other. We did attempt to push them together but that was a nightmare after falling in between both of them the first night. Additionally in the bedroom area - no working lights.

5. In general the whole decor was awful.

We contacted our rep the first day (Thurs 16th Sept), and informed her of this unacceptable situation. She informed us that there was NOTHING else available on the complex but to try again the day after (Fri). We were both adamant that we wanted to be moved so we rufused to get a safety deposit box (which meant carrying our cash/passports)around with us. We went back to her the day after and she informed us surprisingly that there might be something available on the Monday (which was no good to us as we were only there 1 week). We adamantly informed her that we would like to be moved now or to another hotel.

The rep came back to us that afternoon and told us that we could be moved to the Club Playa apartments which were a 3 key complex, BUT we would have to pay £120 (200 euros) - we were gobsmacked. Why on earth should we have to pay additional cost when we had already paid £700 for the both of us!!

Just before our last day, we had spoken to 2 other lots of residents whom complained about the smell/decor/cleanliness of some of the apartments/studios. Both of these parties were offered alternative apartments the day after they arrived AND on-the-spot compensation!!!

So, basically, try not to stay here if you can. Some people were fortunate enough to stay in nice apartments (not studios) with a pool view. If you are going to book a studio - DON'T. We will never be booking a holiday at these apartments again, and for that fact- First Choice as they were no help whatsoever.

And to top things off (which we found kind of amusing),as a load of parties were due to board the coach to go home, they got the decorators in to start painting the apartments!!

Apart from that - BRILLIANT resort, with LOADS to do and great location.

Let's hope you haven't booked these 'studio' apartments.....

We recently stayed at the Altantis Las Lomas for a weeks holiday. Our apartment was at the very back of the complex on the first floor.

When we arrived the state of the rooms were diabolical, the paint was chipping on the doors, the balcony barrier was unsecure and the view from the rear window was of a derilict building and directly into someone's living room. To top it all off for 5 days no matter what time we used the shower there was no hot water!!

We complained but staff were about as much use as a chocolate fire guard - they were not bothered at all about helping with the problem and frequently fobbed us off, therefore we asked the rep to move us to a different location.

The only positive comments that can be made are that the pools are nice and the Bar man at night is a gem!

For what we paid for our week here it was over priced and nothing like what the brochure said - whoever does the photography for these apartments in the holiday brochure must do a great job of air brushing!!

This is somewhere that we would definately not recommend.

We stayed at the Atlantis/Las Lomas apatments in Puerto Del Carmen.
We found these apartments very basic but clean, however very noisy on the side next to the road where we were.
We had a ground floor apartment right next to the pool, which was very convenient for watching out for the children.
The pool was very good, and the entertainment was excellent.
We found all the staff - from the maintainence to the entertainment staff, extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
We would definately go again.

The appartments are plenty big enough and had basic equipment but it was all that we needed. We had an appartment right next to the pool which was convenient for the kids if a little on the noisy side, and also meant that we didn't have the problem with thieves that the other more quiet locations on the complex had. There was a row of recycling bins 6 foot from our bedroom window, although they were only emptied once a day and with that being at six o'clock in the morning it meant the rest of the day was quiet.... appart from the building work 15 feet from the bedroom window which started at 6.30 in the morning! the appartments were very clean on our arrival and although the maid did come in 4 or 5 times a week she didn't seem to dust at all, but then as none of us are asthmatic it didn't matter too much. The staff were pretty friendly and the entertainment was quite good. It was all in all quite good for a two star complex, shame we had booked for a three star in a completely different resort and paid over two thousand pounds for this holiday. Our problem, to be fair, is with the holiday company who have obviously ripped us off big time and not with the hotel.

We booked this accomodation privately, and as we had only paid £100 for the week, we were not expecting anything much. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. The apartments are very well situated, convenient for the beach, shops and restaurants, but up a hill known as Cardiac Hill. Ok, its steep, but you do get used to it. The apartment itself was fab, it was cleaned daily, and we got clean towels every other day. We didnt see one cockroach all week, although we did get savaged by the mosquito's. The only problem with the apartment we were in was that there was no plug in the bedroom and therefore we couldnt plug in our zapper. We didnt spend much time on the complex as we were so close to the beach but the pool area was kept clean, plenty of sunbeds etc. The staff were absolutely fantastic. When we got to the apartment we had a problem with the fridge - sorted in less than an hour, and nothing was too much trouble. Although we didnt have any kids with us, the evening entertainment was really good for those with. You cant go wrong!

These apartments are extremely tidy and cleaned on a daily basis. Only real problem was water in reception as children kept running through with soaking wet swimwear on.. Cardiac hill is not as bad as you would think although is is a fair hill.

Hotel staff were extremely helpful, we were put on a bottom floor studio although due to me sending an emial requesting top floor we got transfered to the top staright away. Also extremely helpful when booking excursions, The trip to Fueteventura is a must!!

We had 1 roach in the whole week but as soon as i let reception know they came and sprayed the room and that was it for the week.

The hotel is situated a 2 second walk from the beach and the main strip, so not far to walk if you fancy a walk along the strip or to the beach.

Obviously we were there for the England match againt croatia and the atmosphere was amazing, although suprisingly when germany went it was quiet as pie...
There was a brilliant parrot show and any body who satys at this hotel should see it..

Food wasn't to good on the complex although there are so many restaurants to choose from it didn't make much difference!

Would definatly visit this report again and recommend it to any1!!! A MUST!!!

Situated just a short walk from the main beach on the top of a hill nick-named cardiac! A very clean & tidy complex, the apartment was basic and excellently clean, the maid service was better than ever expected, we were next to the main pool which is cleaned daily.
The onsite resturant was not upto standard, but there are loads of places locally that compensate. All the staff were very friendly and spoke good english.
The mini market is ok but a short walk outside to the supermarket on the corner is better value with more choice.
The pool bars food is ok but basic,
Overall for a self catering holiday base this is an excellent complex, which we will definatley go to again.

Booked and was bitterly dissapointed.

Wish I had known to pay the extra for the apartments round the pool and not the studio as they are all up on the back right hand side (yes not on the brochure).

Most of the studio occupants had to be moved (where possible) one couple were not so lucky and had the place fumigated twice.

Smell from the drains was terrible and if you are unfortunate enough to get the ground floor you have bars on the windows which look directly onto the pavement so anyone could basically put there hand in your window and be near you whilst sleeping so hence windows were always shut at night and in the heat it was a nightmare. The road was also very very busy and noisy and the bins being cleared about 6-7am every morning did not help.

If you like paint peeling off and a general feeling of dirtyness then possibly the studios will be the place to book into!

I will not be back - loved PDC so much so am going to take my baby back to he can see what a lovely resort it is.
